Fears:
"This isn't important. Moving along. Did you know that someone totally wrote shit about you in the girl's bathroom?"
~Love: The world hasn't been kind to Fay and she fears having any sort of love or affection towards anyone besides her brother. Of course, she feigns the emotion when it's needed to manipulate a hormone-filled male, but as soon as she feels any legitimate shred of love, she's terrified.
~Losing her brother Tricks is extremely important to Fay. The thought of losing him scares her to death.
~Sanity: Fay's madness has helped her through many tough spots in her life. It helps her think outside of the box. She honestly sees it as a gift, not a curse. She fears that if she loses it and becomes completely sane, she'll just wither away and become...normal.
Demigod Abilities and Skills:
"Mom didn't just give me good looks."
~Jinx!: Things never really go right when Fay is around. Computers crash, things break, pictures fall, and people get hurt. She, of course, is never a victim of the bad luck. It's just everyone around her that needs to be concerned. With concentration and a little ill-intent, Fay can focus the misfortune onto a specific person or object.
~Shit Starter: Fay has a knack for starting trouble. She's an excellent manipulator and liar, with a talent for twisting words and fabricating stories. Fay's ability to manipulate hatred and anger in others is also extremely useful from turning little tiffs and disagreements into full on blood feuds.
~Talented Fighter: As her mother is Ares companion in battle, Fay is a very skilled and unpredictable fighter. She's more than capable of handling herself in most fights, but she's obviously no match for the child of Ares or Athena in a fair fight. But then again, when did she ever fight fair?
~Theft: Though she's no child of Hermes, Fay is very familiar with the ways of the thief. She's skilled at pick-pocketing and picking locks.
~Acrobat and Free Runner: After the circus burned down, Fay held onto her acrobatic background and practices it regularly through parkour and free running.
Personality:
"Trying to get inside my head? You'll regret it."
Though most girls her age are complex and complicated creatures, no one would deny that Fay is among the hardest to understand. On the outside, she is playful and child-like, perfectly innocent and worthy of trust. Beautiful, charming, and able to play whatever role needed to get the job done. However, underneath her harmless exterior, stirs a devious and seriously damaged soul. Like a child of Hermes, she's a mischievous person with a love of pranks and trickery. However, while they play with harmless gags and jokes, Fay has a far more twisted sense of humor. She thrives in conflict and enjoys turning people against each other. A natural manipulator, Fay plays people against each other by telling each side fantastic lies or twisted and exaggerated versions of the truth. Other times, she barley says a word, leaving their imagination to do all the work.
One might ask, why does Fay do this? What could she possibly gain from turning everyone against each other? Not much, really, but when discussing Fay, it's best to try and not look for logic. It's well known that she's a bit mad. She doesn't seek attention or popularity. She doesn't want money or to be the best at anything. Fay just does things for simple sake of entertainment. The daughter of Eris finds delight in discord and disagreement. She enjoys testing herself, seeing how far she can push someone until they explode into a fit of rage and discovering what makes them tick. She loves arguments and fights. And, in truth, it's because she's an extremely angry young woman. Deep inside, she desires for the whole world to feel everything she's felt all these years. She has a distaste for humanity, who betray each other time and time again. Sometimes, she loves nothing more than proving to herself that people are evil by nature.
Despite her manipulative nature and sadistic tendencies, Fay isn't all bad. She genuinely loves her brother, whom often acts on her conscience and talks her out of doing anything too extreme. She also has a soft side for animals, who she views as creatures of chaos. They don't fool themselves with the illusions of order, control, or (bleh) rules. They have no ulterior motives or hidden agendas. They act in the moment and do what's necessary to survive. They also do what they please. Much like them, Fay is a creature of chaos. She does things simply because she can. Simply because she wants to. The world has no rules, no laws.
There also are some people that can win Fay's approval and her friendship. If they manage to break past her many unpredictable and somewhat insane layers, they'll discover a very intelligent and fun young woman, eager to share the freedom of chaos. She's also a natural performer, very capable of capturing the attention of a room. Once she cares for someone, Fay will protect them at all costs and help them with whatever they need...if she feels like it.
History:
"I'm not sure what's real and what's not. My mind tends to rewrite stories, especially mine."
When it comes to Fay's past, it's a complicated story. Often times, when she tries to remember it, details shift and change. A present, the way she remembers it, is that she and her brother, Tricks, were left on the side of a dusty road in Texas. Eventually, they were found by Cahin and Caha Pomme, a husband and wife who preformed in a traveling circus that was passing through the Lone Star State. The couple, who had both been abandoned by their respective families, couldn't stand the thought of leaving the siblings to suffer the hot sun or the terror of foster care. The Pommes, who were clowns and acrobats, took Fay and her brother in and raised them as their own. The circus became their family and while she grew up their, Fay was a very happy child. Unfortunately, tragedy followed the children of Eris. When Fay was 9, the circus tent caught fire during a particularly busy show and everyone was caught in the blaze. Out of over 70 people, Fay and Tricks were the only survivors. They went into the foster care system and it wasn't long until the siblings were split up.
Fay loved her first pair of foster parents. They were kind and treated her as if they were their own daughter. Then the gases from a leaking pipe near their room killed them in their sleep. Her second family was nice too, however it wasn't long before a car accident claimed their lives. Her third family was nothing like the others. The house was full of miserable children, mistreated by the three middle-aged sisters that were supposed to take care of them. Fay got it the worst of any of her fellow foster children. They abused her mentally and allowed their pigs of boyfriends to have their way with her young body. It wasn't all bad, though. Sometimes, the sisters would fight and give Fay an opportunity to sneak off for a few hours. She's usually go to the park, where she'd often meet a strange and beautiful woman. The woman taught her many things, including how to fight and how steal. Though young Fay was concerned with the concept of taking thing that didn't belong to her, the woman assured her it was a necessary skill for her to learn. And she was a natural.
Fay stole books from the library and went to the park every chance she could so she could see the woman, who would read to her. However, when she read, the woman would change many tiny little details, often resulting in a completely different ending. Fay was fascinated by the woman, but one day she came to the park and there was no one there. Disappointed, she went back home, where she was greeted with a firm smack. After a curse-filled scolding and a couple more hits, someone knocked on their door. When Fay was sent to get it, clutching her red cheek, she was shocked to see the woman from the park there, holding the most delicious looking apple pie she had ever seen. The woman gave it to her, smiling, and told her to "Cause a little chaos." Then, she left. At that moment, something clicked within Fay. She walked to the kitchen and faced the sisters. She said that a nice man had come to the door and given her the pie to give to one of the sisters. When the women asked which one, Fay smiled and told them, "It's for the most beautiful woman in the house." Immediately, the sisters began bickering about which one it was for and Fay just watched, hoping their angry words would turn into thrown fists. And it did. Glasses shattered, blows were traded, and a nose broke. Fay took that opportunity to leave and she never went back.
During her teen years, Fay lived on the streets, stealing whatever possible and scamming whoever she could. She broke into the houses of rich families and stole clothes, money, and jewelry so she could pretend to be someone else. She'd crash exclusive parties (whose security was often way overpaid) and rip off wealthy socialites who didn't question her hand slipping into their pocket. As the years went on, Fay became angrier and angrier with the world. She no longer felt guilt for hurting other and instead took pleasure in it. Then, after a greasy slime-ball dropped something in her drink and took advantage of her, she officially snapped and wanted nothing more than to watch the world burn. That's when the woman came again and told Fay to meet her at the park. Fay obliged and when she went there, she was shocked to see her brother waiting for her. The two were elated with their reunion and it had felt like no time had passed since they were separated. The woman appeared again, suddenly revealing herself to be Eris, Goddess of Discord, Strife, and Chaos and their mother. She then told them of a place where demigods like them went to learn and hone their skills. They expressed their desire to go there and Eris couldn't have been more please. Before they left, she had one request that Fay has taken to heart these past few months at Mount Olympus Academy.
Anything else? Eris often hints to Fay who her father is, though the clues always conflict and never add up. Fay doubts that her mother even remembers him.
