Kein'Vei waited by the door, holding it open for Elina, who walked past him, obviously annoyed. It didn't stop Kein'Vei from smiling at her kindly. He started walking down the hall when the girl, obviously annoyed with him, quickly interceded with 'make it quick'. Her sharpness caused Kein'Vei's smile to falter slightly, as it was he was trying hard not to blush. He was alone in a corridor with a girl he found attractive who was dress poorly. With her statement Kein understood that she obviously wasn't keen on talking and without looking at her he started down the corridor.

They had reached the end of the hallway and next to a staircase when Kein'Vei couldn't keep quiet. Turning to look at the girl, he stammered slightly with embarrassment "Look, if you want you can go... get changed." He looked away, cheeks flushed red "I'll meet you back here." He finished, looking back. He didn't look her in the eyes, instead he looked at nose, chin and hair, changing subject at random intervals. The dimension jumper waited for her response expectantly, with a smile, even if she didn't like him he would try and be nice in return.

Zahina sighed heavily as she watched Ali rush out the door and to his class. She still had quite a bit of time before her own classes started. She decided to head out again, since she really had nothing else to do. She grabbed her key and walked out to the hallway, locking the door behind her. She then started to head out towards the library to see if she could find some books of interest to her, particularly some books on ancient cultures. She had been dying to know more about her heritage, but every book she looked through had very little information. And it all seemed to stop at the death of the last king..her father. She looked at the amulet hanging around her neck, gently stroking it with her fingertips as she walked, not paying attention to where she was going.

Elina nodded, feeling self-conscious as the boy wasn’t even look at her face. Elina couldn’t help but think it was because of her ridiculous outfit. Honestly, why hadn’t she paid more attention in the morning?
She asked herself this question as she re-dressed in the incredibly small bathroom stall. Her elbows banged against the sides and her knees knocked against the toilet, her nose flaring at the notion of actually walking through the halls looking like such a mess. Jiji, you better be in my room after ballet, Elina wished furiously as she shoved the stall door open and clutched at the counter, glaring at herself in the mirror.
Her cheeks were an unattractive shade of red, and her hair was everywhere. Suddenly, Elina noticed her opal pendant was hanging out of her shirt, the flecks in the opal catching the sunlight. How beautiful, she thought as she ran her thumb along the smooth surface, entranced. And as if her mind and hands weren’t her own, Elina quickly shrugged the necklace off of her neck.
At first, nothing happened. A wave of relief crashed through Elina, then annoyance. The necklace doesn’t even- Elina’s train of thought was interrupted by the sudden shadows crawling up the bathroom walls. Just shadows, she reminded herself before looking down at the sink. The counter was full of writhing snakes, blood, and a grinning woman’s head in the middle of the counter.
Elina didn’t realize she was screaming and crying hysterically until she was crouched on the tile, her arms wrapped around her knees, hiding her face from all the blood dripping slowly from the counter. “Elina, my Elina, don’t be afraid of these illusions,” a man cooed. Elina paused for a minute, glancing through her tears to see an attractive, golden haired man stalking towards her, grinning like the head on the counter.
His footsteps were interrupted by a cat’s yowling and hissing. Jiji had slid through the door and was now attacking his feet. Elina’s heart thudded as she realized it as her chance to put her necklace back on. “Elina, dear, please listen.” The man’s voice and the blood dripping stopped as soon as the pendant was back on her neck. Elina stared at the floor, trying to erase the images running through her head like a never stopping film, Jiji settling himself next to her. “What just happened?” she whispered to herself, numb with shock and horror.

Kein'Vei stepped once again into the clean dimension once Elina turned her back to him. He wandered through the world of white, only a few steps led him to his room. He quickly emerged on to Earth for a moment and picked up his books, sitting happily on his desk. By chance he looked out his window which overlooked the beauty of the garden and amongst the greenery he spotted a flash of white that followed the general shape of a cat. He hoped that the cat was still there by the time he arrived as he stepped out of reality and into another. He was quicker getting to the garden as if was further away in the pure white of the other place and so he jogged. He emerged just inside the door to the garden, it was glass and you could see outside while inside. Although outside was only a small white cat meowing at the door as if wanting to come inside. Kein'Vei grinned, finding it slightly cute. He pulled open the door which resulted in Jiji spurting off down the hallway.

Kein'Vei watched the cat go with a shrug before switching dimension once again, it was by far the quickest way to get around and he didn't want to keep Elina waiting. It only took moments to return to the foot of the staircase, the change out of the dead silence into the resounding ambience of Earth was more of a shock in that trip, for adding to the background a screaming filled the hall. Without thinking Kein ran down the hallway, finding the source of the screaming as a girls restroom. The door was already slightly ajar and the Dimension Jumper thought he could see a flash of white tail disappearing through the crack. He ignored this as instead of screaming, which had stopped slightly beforehand, there appeared a more catlike yowling, confirming the presence of a cat. Then there was silence, the lack of noise made Kein'Vei pause for a moment before recovering himself. He knocked lightly on the door, looking down the hall, "Elina, are you in there? Are you alright?" He looked down the hall as he asked this, checking that this was the direction she had gone and so it made sense that Elina was the one in there. His voice and face was filled with worry as he waited anxiously for a reply.

Saki watched as the trees passed the taxi, wringing her hands. She was beyond nervous. 'I don't like meeting new people. It's not fun.' She thought, looking at her schedule that the was mailed to her. 'NIGHT CLASS' was writen on the top, above her dorm number. She understood what it ment. Just confused why she was night class, she can go out into the sun. She'll probably run during day class, if they'll allow her too.

"We're here miss." The driver said as the cab jutted to a stop. "Okay, thank you." She said, paying him and getting out. Going the back of the taxi she pulled her large suit case out of it. Putting her backpack onto her shoulder and pulled out the handle on her luggage. Rolling it over to the front of the school, 'Wow.' She thought, It looks so magickal.'

Walking down the hall she found her dorm. Taking a deep breathe she unlocked the door. 'Oh thank God, I've got a room to myself.' She thought, closing and locking the door back. Her room was a modern, the bed was large. She loved the modern look, it's beautiful. Unpacking, she put everything where it needed to be.

Elina jumped at the sound of the boy’s voice. I really need to learn his name, she thought dryly as she made her unwilling legs stand up. The morbid grin on the head’s face kept flashing in front of Elina’s eyes, the floor slightly tilting and she couldn’t help but feel like puking right then and there. Jiji brushed against her, urging her to the door. “Y-yeah, I’m fine,” she replied hoarsely, leaning against the handle and opening it at the same time.

The world tilted again and Elina’s stomach cramped as she stumbled through the door, placing one hand on the wall for support. No ballet or school for me today, I guess.

“On second thought, maybe I should go to the nurse,” she said softly, a smirk pulling at her mouth as she wiped her forehead absently, panicking at the sheen of sweat that coated her hand. Elina definitely didn’t remember sweating like a pig before. Now iIt felt as if the air was trying to suffocate her, and suddenly all Elina could see was snakes, blood, darkness. She’d never fainted before, but she certainly did not plan on doing it again.

Anxoius, Kein'Vei heard her unhealthy response and moved away from the door as she opened it. She fumbled with her feet and lent against the wall for support while Kein'Vei caught her free arm. Merely to support her, but he couldn't help to think of a slightly more romantic reason for it. He ignored the rogue emotion and held onto her arm carefully, feeling the clamminess of her skin.

"You don't look fine," He said, examining the sweat on her forehead and its paler hue. She smirked as she responded, and the small movement of her facial muscles comforted Kein who relaxed and his grim, worried face, breaking out into a much needed smile. There was concern still in his eyes as he looked at her, nodding.
"Come on, I'll take you there. You don't look like you can walk in a straight line." He chuckled, grin dominant on his face. Still holding her arm, with his books tucked under his other limb, he began to make his way towards the infirmary. He noted the white cat tracing its way around their feet, "I guess you found Jiji then" he stated, "I saw him disappear into the garden this morning, when you were calling for him." He looked expectantly to Elina, he didn't want to have a one sided conversation.

“It’s more like he found me,” Elina cleared her throat, slightly wincing at the faint pain of speaking, now regretting screaming bloody murder at stupid illusions. “When I didn’t see him in the garden this morning, I thought I’d lost him for good this time. I should probably cast circles in the woods from now on.”

Elina wasn’t feeling much better by the time they reached the infirmary, but she fortunately didn't feel much worse. Suddenly she became more aware of the boy’s hand on her arm, the fact that she should go but some part of her didn’t want to. What is wrong with me? I don’t even know his name, she thought furiously, staring at him without realizing it.

She reminded herself of manners and stuttered,“So, um, thank you-“ Elina’s words died immediately as she mentally slapped herself on the forehead for not remembering his name. She smiled awkwardly, clearing her throat again. “I’m sorry… I don’t really remember your name. I know I should, but everything’s just been distracting, I guess...” She trailed off, at a loss for words and mentally slapping herself over and over for the situation she'd unwittingly put herself in.

"Well, he was waiting not very patiently to get inside at the door." Kein'Vei smiled, finally getting control of the fact he was enamoured with this girl. "I let him in, he certainly seemed in a rush." Although it crossed his mind slightly the Dimension Jumper didn't think of explaining how he managed to arrive so quickly. He looked at her differently "You cast circles? Are you a witch?" He shook his head "No I don't mean that badly, but it sounds so nasty calling you that." He smiled at her, looking right into her eyes for a moment without even realising it. He blinked quickly and looked away, a sure enough sign that he was embarrassed.

He released her arm, realising that he had stayed attempting to support after they already arrived in the infirmary. 'Damn' He thought 'I'm only making it worse for myself.' He tried not to let anything show as turned back to look at her again. For a moment it looked like she was staring at him and his began to race, but he calmed it. Convincing himself that it was only his imagination. Kein'Vei smiled at Elina, finding her cute as she stammered "Don't worry about it. I guess you pay as little attention as I do in class." he laughed "I didn't know who you were until you were asked to come with me. I'm Kein'Vei, its a bit of an odd name but this is a bit of an odd place." He shifted the books under his arm into a more comfortable position. He looked down at the white fluffball that had been following the pair, slightly distracted "What are you going to do with him? I'm not sure they will allow him to follow you all day." He grinned, looking back up at Elina and regretting it as her face took over his mind again.

Dahlia had managed to etch a few hours of sleep out of the day but around 2PM she woke up and just could not get back to sleep. No matter how hard she tried she would drift off and be awoken as some fear from her past was relived in her mind. She was scarred and didn't want to be in the room any more. Slipping a small nightgown on over her underwear she quietly slipped out of the door.

As before she was very careful not to get caught being out of her room and slowly made her way down into the Day Dorms. The dorms were empty with classes still going on and quickly making her way to floor 4 she stopped in front of room 26. Kein's room. She reached into her pocket and prout out a small kit in which she removed a bobby pin and a small nail. Carefully she picked the doors lock and with a satisfying click the door opened. His room was quite nice, artfully designed like her own but she slowly walked around. Finally she crawled into his bed and throwing the covers over her completely as too make it darker she drifted back off to sleep, feeling much more secure about herself.

Elina shrugged, studying Jiji as he lazily flopped on his stomach, slightly closing his eyes as if he was bored. What time is it? she suddenly wondered, quickly glancing at her watch. 2:40!!? She made a face, surprised at how much time had actually passed and realized her episode must have lasted longer than it felt. Regular classes were almost over, but if she felt okay and tried, Elina could make it to her ballet class. She bit her lip, trying to judge how she felt now and finding that she honestly felt better and less nauseous than she had before. "I think I'm going to take him back to my room and try to make it to ballet," she said out loud, more to herself than Kein'Vei. "I feel a lot better now, to be honest," she added quickly.

Jiji stood up and stretched as if he had read Elina's thoughts, letting out a soft meow. Elina picked him up with one arm, relived to have him safe and in her arms. "It was really nice of you to help me when you didn't have to, so thanks. I probably wouldn't have found Jiji either. I guess I'll see you around,” she said brightly, trying not to blatantly stare at him as a faint blush spread across her cheeks.

Kein'Vei smiled as Elina made her array of faces, biting her lip. He thought they made her look cute but he quickly distracted himself from the thought, as it encouraged the pink of a blush. He quickly replied to Elina so she wouldn't notice his undue attention "Are you sure?" he asked, but the witch confirmed her well being. Despite the attempted distraction Kein found himself staring at Elina's face. Relief passed through him as she bent down to pick up her white cat. He turned his attention from her towards the ball of fluff as he reached and scratched the underside of Jiji's chin. He replied, not looking at Elina for red spread across his cheeks at her thanks "Didn't have to? My conscious wouldn't let me ignore you" He chuckled. "Okay, see you later, I guess." 'I hope' was his real wish as he moved away from Elina's presence. He looked back, pausing before adding "So much for collecting homework." He laughed "Just don't wander into any bathrooms without me or Jiji around to take care of you." He turned and walked away, his grin disappearing. 'Without me? What makes you think she needs you at all.' The Dimension Jumper chastised himself, embarrassed and slightly ashamed.

As he walked away from then infirmary, leaving his thoughts behind with Elina, Kein's vision shifted. The corridor ahead was overlaid by a scene of horror, much like before in the garden and, unknown to the boy, Elina's vision. A hulking creature ripped a person limb from limb, blood sprayed from the torn flesh and Kein'Vei could almost imagine the screams. He stumbled, shocked by the vision, looking away and covering his eyes "Oh, God!" He exclaimed, keeling over and gagging, stomach churning. He recovered and tentatively looked past his hand. The cross dimensional scene had disappeared, the dimension looked back to see if Elina had seen that. There was no doubt that she had and the boy's face brightened with a tinge of red.

((Sorry it's been so long. I lost my screen name and password, but I finally found it again!))

Zahina finally entered the large library and looked around. There were floor to ceiling shelves filled with books as far as the eye could see. She smiled slightly and walked around, looking for the correct section. "No..no.." she whispered to herself. Suddenly she stopped and turned down an aisle. 'Aha!" she whispered excitedly. "The Historical Cultures section!" She ran her fingers along the shelf, looking and studying each book title. Most of the ones she found she had already read. She grabbed a few of those just in case she had missed anything. She also grabbed some books on similar cultures and checked them out at the front desk, then headed outside to read. She sat down under a large, shady oak tree and opened a book and began to read, her eye darting back and forth on the pages.
