Josephine Price's Story

Jo rolled up to the large Victorian Estate. Her neighbor volunteered to drive her as he was the one who signed her up. She waved goodbye as she gathered her stuff and crossed the lawn towards the house. She climbed the stairs and turned the knob and stepped inside. The house smelled like flowers and she noticed 2 other kids already arrived. A boy sat by the window, Jo swore she saw his hair changed but dismissed it. A girl sat on the floor with her legs crossed. Jo took her luggage and set it by the fireplace as she sat down on a soft love seat. Mrs Jeefers came into the room and explained that we needed to pick a room mate. Jo shifted un easily at the words and decided that she would wait until someone asked her.

Spencer looked up to see another girl come in, she really didn't want to talk when there was a lot of people coming in "w..want to be roomies?" she whispered, not really loud but loud enough for the girl to hear

Jo looked up as a girl was speaking to her. She was blonde, with pretty blue eyes. "Sure..." Jo smiled, answering her question. Jo patted the seat next to her, "Sit with me." Jo whispered. She could tell the girl was nervous and scared and Jo wanted to be her friend. "My names Jo, whats yours?" Jo whispered to the girl.

Spencer looked back up to Jo "Sp..Spencer but i like to be called Spence" she said, then saw Jo pat the seat next to her and heard her say "Sit with me". Spencer mumbled to herself "should i...should i not..should i" but the slowly got up and sat next to the girl bringing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around her legs. She then saw another girl come in...which she was shocked at how tall the girl is. The girl didn't seem to be very social, as of most of them here didn't at the moment,she then started getting flashbacks from what happened at the school and whispered to herself, probably only Jo could hear her "im not crazy, i am not crazy".

Jo saw another girl enter. She had short hair with tattoos. She glared at everyone and when her eyes fixed on Jo, jo shivered. She could hear Spence talking to herself but Jo didn't mind, we all had problems. "Its okay." Jo patted Spence's back softly. Jo snook another glance at the girl who had recently entered. "She doesn't look too nice, don'tcha think? I wish I could help her but it looks like she doesn't want anything to do with us." Jo whispers to Spence. Jo continues to study the girl.

Spencer felt the pat on the back from Jo and jumped a little, she wasnt that fond of another person touching her but she didn't move. She heard Jo talking about the other girl with the short hair and that is tall and Spence shook her head "no, no she doesn't" she answered her with a whisper. Spence then looked up to see another girl come in, a very pretty girl, unlike herself she thought. Her eyes drifted between the two new girls and Jo and the boy. She wondered how long she had to stay down here, she really wanted to go to her room, she didn't want to be around too many people.

Jo bounces off the plush love seat and strides towards Mrs Jeefers, accepting the schedule. She scanned the schedule and then threw it in her pant pocket. She scanned the room, the boy was talking to the girl who just entered, Jo took a second glance at the girl. She was pretty and Jo had to admire her from afar, but she couldn't be perfect. No one was perfect here. Jo wiped her palms against her pants and noticed Spence heading off in a different direction. Jo raced towards her and fell into a relaxed stride next to her. "So wanna go claim a room?" Jo whispered, leaning against the wall. There was a staircase a couple feet away which probably led upstairs. She waited for Spence's answer.

Spencer smiled to Jo when she came up beside her "umm ya sure lets do that please" she said then looked around the house, it was a nice house she thought, bigger then any of the ones shes ever lived in.

Jo smiled and led Spence up the stairs. She made it to the second floor where it was a small space with 10 doors. There were signs on the doors with a number. Jo strided into the bedroom marked bedroom 2. Inside there were white walls with 2 twin sized white beds. They were rather small but Jo knew she wouldn't be staying long. Get clean, Get out. There was a closet where Jo and Spence could store their stuff and a little balcony that connected to all the other bedrooms on this side. She turned around and went to find Spence to talk about Bedroom 2.

Spencer followed Jo upstairs and looked around opening each door then saw Jo come out of room 2 and went over to her "find one you like" she asked.

Spencer jumped when she saw the tall girl with the short hair slammed the door, she quickly put her hands to her ears and shook her head then she blinked sorta hearing Jo talk to her, then Jo took her hand. Spence's eyes went wide but she didn't pull away "she won't hurt you Spencer, go with her" she whispered to herself then went with Jo and looked around the room, and smiled at Jo. Jo seemed to like the room, she really didn't mind it. She put her things away then sat on the bed trying not to listen to the different voices in her head.

Mrs Jeefers

Mrs Jeefers comes bustling out of the kitchen and strides towards the Front door, trying to resemble elegant while fast walking. She makes it to the door and opens it. On the porch sits a girl sitting on her suitcase. "Oh Child! Please come in! You must be hungry!" Mrs Jeefers exclaims as she examines the look on your face. She grabs your suitcase and pulls you into the kitchen. She rummages through the cabinets until she finds a bag of chips. "This'll have to do until dinner." She hands you the bag. "No classes will begin on monday. You will have some time to yourself for the next couple of days. At 6:00 there is an optional meeting time for socialization...," She rambles on as she prods you up the stairs where most people seem to be, "You may now choose a room mate and choose a bedroom, once your done your free to explore the house until I've called everyone down for Dinner." She smiles and sets your suitcases down, disappearing down the stairs. Your left upstairs.


Jo

Jo smiled as Spence sat on her bed but noticed something was wrong... "You okay?" Jo sat next to Spence. Spence was beautiful and for some reason her insecurities made her more attractive. Jo loved the way she would jump at the simplest things. Jo studies her friend for a moment. Jo bites her lip and whispers "I've been abused, and I've done drugs. And I've self harmed myself. Is that what your upset about? Your problems? Because you can always talk to me. I will never betray you. I don't back down, Spence. You can tell me anything." Jo whispers.

Spencer sort of came out of her head when Jo asked if she was okay "umm yeah...its just the voices" she said. She was waiting for it, for the girl to walk away, like most girls did but then she heard Jo again "I've been abused, and I've done drugs. And I've self harmed myself. Is that what your upset about? Your problems? Because you can always talk to me. I will never betray you. I don't back down, Spence. You can tell me anything." Spencer looked up to Jo, pushing her hair from her face "I have a lot of problems...and it upsets me every moment cus i really cant get rid of them...i hear voices, i talk to myself, i dont eat...and girls at my school abused me..bad. Im crazy." She pulled her knees into her chest, putting her arms around them, and resting her chin on her knees, shedidnt really get into the story about the girls, maybe someday she will tell Jo but she wasnt ready to talk about that day.

Spencer listened to Jo and smiled lightly, she never really had someone say that to her, any of that. She got up and followed Jo to the balcony "I will try to be strong but I never have in my life, so all I can really do is try..."

Jo

Jo saw Spence follow her onto the balcony, she listened to Spence and smiled. "Well as long as you try, thats all that matters." Jo smiles.

Mrs Jeefers

Mrs Jeefers exits the kitchen with a cowbell in hand. She begins to ring, signaling dinnertime. When you enter the dining room, there are 3 chefs at the far end. They are currently laying out the dinner, Pasta with meat sauce and a tomato sauce option for vegetarians. There is also a side of caesar salad and garlic bread. You cant help but lick your lips as the wonderful smell wafts your way. For desert they have ice cream. Mrs Jeefers makes a gesture to take a seat.

Spencer smiled to Jo then heard the bell "guess that means we gotta head downstairs?" she then turned and slowly made it downstairs and as she went into the kitchen she stopped as she saw all the food, she then slowly took a seat. There was no way she was gonna eat any of this she thought, too many calories...just too many.

Jo followed Spencer down the stairs once she heard the bell. She licked her lips in delight at all this food. All her father gave her was a non perishable can of soup and forced her to eat it raw. Jo had never had a decent meal in her life. She was about to sit down when she noticed a girl dart away from the dining room. Jo hadnt seen her yet so she assumed she just arrived. She decided to follow the girl. The girl disappeared into a room and Jo entered after. She stepped towards the girl. "Hey are you okay? Why don't you come eat? My names Jo." Jo smiled and stretch her hand out for a hand shake.

Mrs Jeefers

"Welcome, Welcome! I hope you have settled in nicely... There has been a change of plans for the schedule for the next 3 days... Tomorrow we will be posting sign ups for some activities. You must sign up for at least one. Everyone who signs up for the activity will be accepted." Mrs Jeefers smiles. " The clubs will begin the following day. Now I wish you a happy night. You may dig in!" She claps her hand signaling the start of dinner. "Once your done you may prepare for bed. You have 1 hour. Lights out at 11:00." And with that she disappears into the kitchen.

Jo

Jo hears Mrs Jeefers's speach faintly yet she understands. She looks back down at the girl. "C'mon lets get some dinner..." Jo smiles.

Jo sighed at the girl... "I'll bring you some food? Okay?" Jo whispered as she turned back into the dining room. She was hungry and the other girl was just delaying her dinner. Jo would have to come back. Jo grabbed 2 plates, 1 for her and 1 for the other girl. She piled them high with food and sat down next to Spencer, sliding the other plate off to the side. She began to eat when she noticed Spencer wasn't eating... "Hey you okay?" Jo whispered. "You gotta eat sooner or later..." Jo says to Spencer.

Spencer bit her lip and looked to Jo when she came back hearing her saying she should eat she whispered to Jo "just way too much food..." She stared down at the plate of food then she heard a girl, the pretty one that she saw earlier, say "Hey... She looks like she would hit you so you might not want to stare. And eat alittle...You look hungary but your beautiful anyways". Spencer jumped a bit, suprised the girl talked to her but was even shocked she didnt even know she was staring at the girl with the short hair.

"Spencer get it together" she said to herself. Her anxiety getting a bit high, everyone was telling her to eat but the voices was telling her not too, she knew she was fat and ugly she sees it. Though she didn't know it was hallucinations of herself. She didn't know what the others where seeing but surely it wasnt herself.
She watched the guy with the long red hair, he seemed sorta different she thought, watching him go get ice cream. She was staring again but didn't know she was, she had a habit of just staring at people not really meaning to though.

As she was looking at the guy she saw the girl that was wickedly tall with the short hair get up and go get a big bowl of ice cream, she wasstaring again but didn't really know she was until she started whispering to herself "Spencer stop staring remember what that..." she was mid sentance when she heard the girl say "The fuck're you lookin' at?"This made Spencer jump and she coward into her seat "I..um..I" she was stuttering her words she started getting flashbacks from the day at school "p..please dont hit me...i..i am sorry" she said her voice really shaky. Her body was trembling with fear, that what happened at school in the bathroom was about to happen again.
