Murray’s Academy is the school that every student dreams of attending.
The school was built in a gothic style, and building finished in 1898. The school and surrounding picturesque area has barely changed since then. The views are amazing, the small town near the school is warm and welcoming, the dorms are plush and luxurious, and you will receive the best education that money can buy.

For obvious reasons, entry is restricted to a lucky few. No ordinary human being can enter its doors.

A new headmaster is making the school more accessible to all, so enjoy your education here at Murray's.

There's just one snag--
Murray's Academy and the town of Murray are were the last vampire only communities in the world. Now that the headmaster is allowing humans to attend the school for the first time. The fledglings have had to give up a once free flowing supply of blood to supplement their development to let the mortals enjoy their short period of ignorance. They're not pleased.
❦❦❦❦❦

A quick note on Vampires:

In this RP, vampires can live to be hundreds, maybe even thousands of years old, but they do die eventually.
Vampires are usually conceived and born in an almost identical manner to humans. In fact, fledgling and child are indistinguishable for the first twelve or so years. Hormones at puberty trigger a cellular reaction—Vampirism. The fledglings will continue to grow and change in appearance at a human like rate until they are about 18, when their body begins to resist aging.
Due to their long life spans, vampires can only conceive a couple of times in their live-span. Vampire children are seen as valuable and precious investments in covens. Due to biological differences, a vampire cannot conceive/father a vampire-human hybrid.
Transformation of a human or hunter to vampire is a dangerous and often not very successful process. Once the venom is in the victim's bloodstream, a vampire has one minute to drink some of the victim's blood and have the victim to drink some of the vampire's blood for the transformation to have a change of completion. Even then, the success rate is very low.
Vampires have a certain tolerance to sunlight, the strength of which depends on many different factors. The worst affliction can be solved with high-factor sunscreen and a hat. They can also eat garlic and some lines can touch sacred objects with no ill effects. Salt causes burns, and can scar if left on skin long enough. Some vampires from older covens cannot cross running water, and entering dorms without invitation will make any Vampire physically sick. A stake through the heart and decapitation will kill a Vampire [zombie, human or any other undead being, really..]

Both vampire venom and blood are powerful aphrodisiacs. In vampire youth culture, blood-drinking is more 'sacred' to them than sex is for most human teenagers. ;]

The four corporation's are student organizations, similar to fraternities and sororities of typical American universities. They are the school's elite students, consisting of the most powerful covens, the richest families and the school's most attractive students. Officially they are all of equal importance, but reality begs to differ.
Students wishing to join any of the Corporations must go through the application [and hazing] process at their own risk. The Head of each Corporation is allowed to approve or deny any applicants for any reason.
All those in Corporations have their own dorms in their respective towers, they have better access to facilities and are of a higher priority to the school and grounds staff than anyone else. They tend to be above the rules.
They do, however, organize parties, a prom each, and various activities for all students each year.

Grace: A female-only corporation.
Arguably the most powerful and influential Corporation. Once Grace consisted of the school's best minds and powerful families, the female counter-part of Hermes. To get in you had to have powers [and suitable control over them] and be intelligent and enthusiastic to get involved with school life. Nowadays Grace consists of the hottest, preppiest and most popular girls on campus. It is notoriously difficult to get into, as you have to be attractive as well as worthy enough in the girl's eyes. The vice-principal will be supervising the human applicants this year, to ensure that they are not discriminated against. Grace and Hermes have a bitter rivalry between Lilith and Anubis. The Grace's HQ is the West Tower.
Grace Head: ___________________

Hermes: A male-only corporation.
Like Grace, Hermes was once full of intelligent, powerful students. Entry required good grades and a good level of physical and mental fitness. Hermes shared it's sister's fate, and the boys in Hermes are generally the best looking and top sportsmen in the school. Entry nowadays requires almost impossible levels of physical endurance and stamina, but the headmaster has set new [lower] levels that the new human students will have to pass to enter Hermes. Grace and Hermes have a bitter rivalry between Lilith and Anubis. Hermes is based in the East Tower.
Hermes Head: ________________

Lilith: A mixed corporation.
Once a female-only corporation. It was once the corporation for ladies of the upper-class and more refined covens, with girls required to be able to horse ride, stitch and sow as part of the application process. It changed as Grace and Hermes did, and has now become a haven for those of a darker mind-set. There are equal amounts of males and females chosen to join Lilith each year, who are picked on general attitude and grades. It is also rumored that appearance is important to get into Lilith, but the Heads have always denied such rumors. It is strange that a 'normal' kid is generally chosen over a Goth that applies. Like Grace and Hermes are counterparts, Lilith has an agreement with Anubis. Lilith and Anubis have a long standing feud with Hermes and Grace. Lilith is based in the North Tower.
Lilith Mistress: __________________

Anubis: A mixed corporation.
Once a male-only corporation. It was a corporation for gentlemen, lords and even royalty once or twice. They once were twined with Lilith, but that changed when they began to plan to accept male students. Anubis is the most recent to change from it's original purpose. After Lilith's Winter Ball was sabotaged by Grace students, the Anubis Head decided to start changing as well. They began accepting female students, and in the space of twenty years, have changed themselves completely. Anubis now accepts any students with abilities, academic or supernatural, based on grades, attendance and overall performance. They have feuded with Hermes for longer than either corporation can remember, but since they have sided with Lilith, Anubis has incurred the wrath of Grace too. Anubis are based in the South Tower.
Anubis Lord: _____________________

S c h o o l ❦ Y e a r s:

First Years are twelve to thirteen years old. As the ‘Change’ begins when hormones are released during puberty, not all students have Vampiric abilities. They require a pass signed by a teacher to visit the town, and they also are accompanied by an older student from fifth year upwards.

Second Years range from thirteen to fourteen years old. Students are given further introduction to controlling their ‘usual’ powers of enhanced speed, strength and senses. They require a signed pass to visit the town, and must be accompanied by any other student.

Third Years are thirteen to fifteen years old. They learn to further control their powers, and may start to shape shift, gain mind-reading abilities, fly, or spontaneously heal. Appropriate classes are available for students who develop such powers. In the past, young vampires are required to be supervised by a member of staff when outside school grounds, due to the random nature of powers. Now they require a pass and a friend to accompany them into the town.

Fourth Years are fifteen to seventeen years old. An exam is taken at the end of this year. If students pass, they may go into town alone, and have more freedom around the school. If not, students must repeat the year. Students are require a pass to visit the town.

Fifth Years are sixteen to eighteen. Their powers are probably fully developed, although bloodlust may have set in. Depending on their performance in Fourth Year and grades, students may venture into town when not in class. Those who do not perform well are required to have a pass.

Sixth Years are seventeen to nineteen. They have their powers relatively under control, and can manage their bloodlust fairly well. They may be able to survive without breathing for certain periods of time but students are kindly reminded that practice of this ability is not recommended until graduation. They are well on their way to becoming the Vampires of tomorrow. Depending on performance over the previous two years, they may skip certain amounts of classes.

Powers: Vampires choose up to two. Slayers may choose one.

Shapeshifting [One animal of your choice, from a Bat to a Wolf to a Chipmunk. You lose your ability to talk, but it causes a delay in the illness arising from uninvited entry into someone else's room. You are also immune to animal slavery.]

Mind Reading [You can hear people's thoughts. It's a difficult power to control, and sometime's it better that you don't know what best friend thinks of your girl/boyfriend.]

Shadow Manipulation [Manipulate your shadow into a weapon or use it as an intimidation tactic. Great for shadow puppet shows and impressing members of Lilith. You can only use the area of your original shadow, or those around you.]

Supernatural Presence [Make yourself more attractive, intimidating or seem more confident. Members of Grace usually have this ability, but it's great for Lilith and Hermes. It is just an illusion, though, and it can be seen through.]

Unearthly Reflexes [You're faster and stronger than the average Vampire/Slayer. Your senses are sharper too. Great for joining Hermes, or impressing people in general. Warning; those senses can backfire in the locker rooms.]

Cat’s Grace [You never fall over, and make the smallest of movements look graceful. You have amazing balance, and jumping and dancing are a breeze.]

Animal Slavery [You can control any animal you want. Animals are naturally attracted to you as well. Just make sure your roommate likes mice and rats first.]

Flight [You can fly completely unaided! Just keep focused and mind the windows.]

First Floor
~Entrance Foyer
Basically a reception area. Students receive dorm keys, maps and anything else they may need for life in school. New students father here on their arrival.

~Main Staircase
The staircase that leads up the second and third floors.

~Gentlemen’s Reception Room
A boys only room, clearly marked on the door with a gold plaque. Boys of all years and groups can hang out here. Despite it having the gothic design as the rest of the school, it has a modern feel to it as well. Games consoles, beanbags, a stereo and a snooker table are just some of the many things that the male students have use of when in here. There is a staircase that leads to the standard boy's dorms here, as well as 'secret' passages to the Hermes and Anubis Common Rooms in the East and South Towers respectively.

~Ladies’ Reception Room
A girl's only room, clearly marked on the door with a gold plaque. Girls of all years and groups can hang out here. Again, it is very gothic in design, but the furniture tends to be more feminine and consisting of lighter colors. Girls have access to many of the same things that the boys do, as well as being able to enjoy more 'ladylike' activities, such as sewing, knitting and embroidery.
There is a staircase that leads to the standard girl's dorms here, as well as 'secret' passages Lilith to the Grace's Common Room in the West Tower.

V11, V12, V13: Teacher Dorms:
Sneaking across to the other set of dorms means avoiding at least six cantankerous vampires with a sensitive sense of hearing and a bad case of insomnia. Good luck...

V14-V24: Female dorms,
Located directly above the ladies reception area. Two beds, one large wardrobe to share, a full length mirror and a small window with drapes. A bathroom with a shower and several sinks is to be shared between the ten dorm occupants.

Common Room

Indoor Pools
Olympic sized, complete with steam rooms and a hot tub.

Of course, I have just added where students would typically go when within the school. There are of course, many other rooms that can be explored and used. If you feel I should add something, please PM me with the idea! The grounds and towers will be up soon.
