Mizu

Keep running, keep running no matter what. Don't look back, you'll probably trip and fall because of these stupid shoes. Mizu thought to herself as she ran as quick as she could. The other mutants are probably right behind me. Her wolf ears were pressed up against her head as the wind ruffled her hair. Stupid dress! Mizu was still wearing her only outfit- her white dress. The one that the whitecoats made her wear cause they thought it made her look "cute". It slowed her down quite a bit, since she had to worry about it flying up or something of the sort. Well, she wouldn't have to suffer wearing it since she snuck an outfit out of The Institute before they had started the escape plan.

"Come on! Hurry up! The Hunters should be on us anytime soon now!" Mizu yelled over her shoulder, not taking her eyes away from her path. She had routed every escape plan, studied every exit, and much more. She had been planning this escape for a long time, but of course she could never have done it without the other mutants, so she had asked them to join her. Surrounding the Institute building was a large field, which Mizu knew by heart. She had been brought out here many, many times to do experiments or be tested on.
By now, Mizu was half way across the huge field, and she hoped that the other mutants had kept up with her. She would never admit it, but she would have hated to be alone, in fact, she was kind of.... scared.... of being alone. No, you wouldn't be scared, you'd never be scared. Mizu thought as she looked over her shoulder once just to check if the other mutants were there. She couldn't see that well though, since she was running too quickly. Her speed had been improved when she was changed into a mutant. Mizu focused back on her route, it was so close.... Freedom, happiness..... Mizu's eyes lit up with happiness as she thought about it. It was just beyond the..... 100 feet tall wall.

Logan

"Come on! Hurry up! The Hunters should be on us anytime soon now!"
Logan's legs heaved his body forward. One step after another, he was panting like a dog. His wings held him back, and he was dying to take flight. But he refrained; he knew he would get his chance. The world around him seemed to blur as the escapees approached the Great Wall. The grass, the sky, the fresh air. They were all things he hadn't seen in years. His senses were overloaded by the new sights and smells and sounds. This was freedom. Yes, he was not quite off the hook yet. But the freedom to see, touch, smell, taste, and hear the outdoors. Inside, he was nothing more than a prisoner.

He saw the wolf girl slow down as she approached the massive wall. The one thing that could keep all of them back. With another powerful stride, Logan used his wings to launch himself into the air. There was barely an air current and Logan wasn't used to flying; it was an awkward and slow rise. But slowly, he found himself at the top of the wall. There were guard towers in various places along the wall, and he knew he didn't have much time up here.
Quickly, his sharp eyes darted around the wall and towers. Inside the towers were guards, possibly even hunters. He had no time to search for a way to open the gate. Though he usually hated to do so, he asked for help below: "How do I open the gate?" he yelled, leaning over the edge of the wall. He braced his wings for flight in case the guards in the towers had heard him.

Back towards the main building of the Institute, he heard the sirens begin to sound. The alarm rose, and he hoped the others like him could keep a sane mind through it. It would either be the last sound they heard before their breakout, or the first sound they heard before being recaptured. The hunters would be on their way, and Logan's anxiety nearly shot through the roof. He was so close to being free for the first time in eleven years.

Xiongmao

"Come on! Hurry up! The Hunters should be on us anytime soon now!"
The wolf girl yelled over her shoulder.

Xi saw the Wolf girl and the Avian boy in front of her as she sprinted across the field. She was putting a lot of faith in people she barely knew, and she wondered for a moment if it was a good idea. Then she suddenly didnt care. She was close to freedm. She could taste it, smell it and feel it...but she couldnt see it due to the wall. Damn it. She wondered for a moment if she could climb it with her claws. The Avian boy was already at the top, she could throw the others up....she knew her arms could handle the strain, as she could hold her own weight for hours, hanging from tree's.

"How do I open the gate?" The avian boy asked.

How could they open the gate? it was an electric panel she assumed...maybe cut the wires? she frowned, could it be that easy? she had no answer. She hit the wall running, her claws digging at the cement bricks. She could barely get a grip on them. Climbing would be impossible. The gate had to be opened.

"Is there a control panel?" She asked the Avian.

Kyle

"Come on! Hurry up! The Hunters should be on us anytime soon now!" Kyle grinned as he just barely caught the voice of the wolf girl far ahead in front of him. He was hanging towards the back of the group--not because he was a slow runner, but because he wanted to see that nobody else would fall behind and get caught. It might seem selfless of him to risk getting caught for the sake of others, but in reality, he knew there wasn't a chance he'd get caught. He was just doing this for the sake of a sense of safety. He would help another if they fell behind sure, but he wasn't going to literately risk his own freedom for that sake. He kept telling himself he wouldn't have to though.

He watched as the avian flew up to the top of the oversized wall. Kyle came to a stop, bouncing from foot to foot as he stared up at the guards nervously. They were just now catching on and scrambling for their weapons. Crap, crap. He couldn't just stand here and do nothing while those behind them were closing the gap and those in front of them aimed their deadly weapons. But what else could he do but wait impatiently for the gates to be unlocked? C'mon, c'mon! "Take your time! No rush!" he called up to the winged boy, glaring as his heart beat quickly in his chest. They couldn't just risk getting this far and not escaping. That would be useless.

Adronis

Adronis followed close behind everyone else. He hung close to the back just in case someone wanted to fight the rest of the group. As he ran he turned to look and see if any guards were already after them. Of course they were. Sighing he looked back forward as everyone came to a hault. Except for Avain who managed to fly over. A frown was heavy on his face seeing they were trapped right now. The guards behind them only made the situation worse. he knew he shouldn't have done this, but he couldn't have left the other mutants to do this. Looking at the wall he ran his hand over it. There were little grooves in it, so if he wanted to he could use his claws and climb. But he was not in the mood to right now. Turning back around he looked at the others.

"Well when you guys figure out a way to open the gates I will just hang right here." He announced in a nonchalant tone. Crossing his arms over his chest, he pulled out a cigarette and a lighter. He slid it into his mouth and inhaled. He tended to smoke when he was nervous though others porbably couldn't tell. He set the rest of his cigarettes and lighter in his pockets and waited for a miracle. He knew if things got tighter then he would have to do something but for now he waited. As the guards messed with their weapons he kicked off of the wall and walked towards the gates.

Todd

Sirens. Sirens. Loud noises. Tests. Tests... Todd thought, his bare feet pounding against the soft grass that he loved. He'd been out here just yesterday, being tested ton his speed again. It hadn't really increased, but it was fun to be out here. Now, there was a serious mood to it. They were escaping, but right now, the options didn't look very good.

The red headed boy skidded to a stop, slamming into the wall with his shoulder. He ignored the pain and watched as the boy with wings flew to the top of the wall. Sometimes he wished he had been mutated with something more useful. He was probably shorter than anybody else here too. He hated being small, but it had its advantages. Like being stuck in a medium dog crate instead of a small one because he was just the right size to be moved up.

The others shouted suggestions to the Avian as he tried to figure out how to open the gate. One suggested a control panel... Todd turned his attention away from the others and looked around. Was there another way out? Maybe they could climb over the wall? That was it! Rope, he needed rope. "Rope!" he yelled, running back towards the Institute, ignoring the fact that this was practically suicide.

He slid to a stop once inside and looked around. Nevermind the rope, the Hunters were coming along with the whitecoats! He could hear their footsteps above the horrible screeches of the security alarms. Turning around, he sprinted back across the field and came to a stop next to the others. "We have company guys. Forget my rope idea."

Xiongmao

"Well when you guys figure out a way to open the gates I will just hang right here."
the cat boy said, no worry in his voice in the least.
That was it. Xi was getting pissed. Her worst Fear. She feared her anger more than she did the white coats.

"You, cat boy, if i lifted you could you climb? The bird can cover you wile you hang down, ill help the others up, wile you pull them up" Xi said. It wasnt the best plan but it was all they had. In the back of her mind she knew she would be left behind if they used this plan, but she also knew it was better for most of them to escape than all of them get caught.

"Come here" she said gesturing for him to stand next to her. He looked fairly light, strong enough to pull the others up and she had a lot of practice holding herself up. She linked her fingers quickly and nodded down at them.

"Ill throw you, and them, its better than nothing." Xi said shrugging and waiting for him to respond.

Mizu

Mizu watched silently as the bird boy flew up to the top of the wall. It would be easy for him to get to the top, but for the rest of them, well, they would have to figure out a plan. He asked how to open the huge gate on the wall, but Mizu knew it would be pointless. Never, ever, had she seen that gate open, not once. They kept it closed all the time, and she thought that there was no way to open it but like keys or something. If there was a way to open it, it wouldn't be so obvious, and they didn't have time to try to solve a problem such as opening a gate.
The panda girl suggested that she throw them up, but Mizu knew what she was thinking when she thought about that plan, the girl herself would be left behind, and they would probably kill her for helping the others escape. Well, that isn't a very good plan since not everyone would make it, and the goal of today was for every single of us animal mutants to escape.
Mizu looked around furiously, counting down the seconds until the white coats would reach them in her head. She did a quick 360, but didn't notice anything but a 85 foot tall pine tree. Wait..... Mizu thought then turned back to the tree. Most of the other mutants can climb well, right...? Well, they better be able to.

"We're heading up the tree guys! Follow me!" she yelled to the rest of them and then ran towards the wall and ran up it a little bit and then jumped off of the wall and onto the first branch of the pine tree. The first branch wasn't that close to the ground, it was a little high so it was kind of hard to reach it, but it worked. Her hands grabbed the branch and then she swung up onto it. "The whitecoats and the Hunters are getting closer, so we need to hurry up!" she said and then started jumping from branch to branch, getting higher and higher.

Once she reached the top of the tree she looked up at the top of the wall. It would be a 15 foot jump. It would have been an impossibility for a human, but for a mutant freak, it would be a piece of cake. Mizu got on the very top of the tree, and then jumped up to the top of the wall and grabbed on to the side. She pulled herself up onto the top of it and then looked down at the rest of the mutants. Well, the wall wasn't that easy, but it wasn't exactly hard, hopefully they would be able to get up it soon.

Ambrose

Ambrose was notified from her headset about the mutants before the alarms had even gone off. She was in weapons training at the time so it kinda worked out for her. Along with her normal gear she had a pocket taser, low voltage, and her hunting rifle. Now she is not a fan of guns, and bullets, so before she left she grabbed a hand full of knock out darts instead of bullets. She ran down the hall and took a left going to the elevator. Once inside she pressed the button saying 'wall'. "Guard post one, two, three, do you see the targets?" she said into her headset. The elevator doors opened and she sprinted on the 100ft wall towards the guard post labeled, 'Guard post three'.

"This is guard post one, we have the targets in site. Permission to engage?" asked the guard from his head set, having his gun ready to fire. "No! Not unless the ammo is non-lethal! Listen, you’re the one closest to the gate... and have the control panel in there. Do not open the gate! Guard post two and three, send your men on foot to capture the mutants. Do not use lethal weapons only the net launchers!" She stopped at guard post three getting her breath back. She was still far away from the mutants. The guards were all ready in the field and moving in on the mutants, still haft way from them though.

One of the white coats came down from the guard post and began to yell at Ambrose, "Don't just stand there like a fool! Do your job and shoot the things!" The white coat face was beat red and his teeth were clenched. Ambrose glared at him, trying to calm herself from being yelled at. She then aimed in the scope of her rifle. She saw the mutants idle at the gate; only one was on top of the wall, the avian mutant. She snickered, loading a knock out dart in the modified rifle.

"Silly mutant" she said as she aimed right for his wing. She put her finger on the trigger. "What the hell are you waiting for freak!" yelled the white coat slapping her back as she shot. The dart missed leaving Ambrose feeling like a fool. The white coat stepped back a moment realizing what he had done. Ambrose's eyes flickered, then began to glow.

She took the hunting rifle and swung at the white coat, cracking the end of it across his face knocking him to the ground. The white coat screamed, "Wait, stop! I'm sorry Ambrose, I mean... Gah! Stop! Forgive me!" His face was swelling now. Ambrose eyes flickered again. She spat at him then loaded another dart in the rifle. She saw what the wolf mutant now was on the wall too.

"How you get up there?" she said to herself looking into the scope aiming at the mutant. She aimed right on for the neck, being the quickest way for the dart to work it's magic. Put her finger on the trigger, still a bit annoyed she yelled out as loud as she could, as if giving her a fair warning, "Lets see you dodge this!" Then fired.

Todd

The dog girl told them to climb the tree. Looking back towards the Institute, he spotted one of the hunters and some whitecoats. The tree was looking pretty good right now, since Avian didn't seem to be able to open the gate. The Panda had spoken to another boy, but he really hadn't been listening. Todd's amber eyes drifted from one scene to another, then decided the tree would be best. He wasn't the best climber, but it would have to do.

Todd fled to the pine tree. He climbed quickly, unaware of the others. He rose high off the ground, then blindly jumped towards the wall just as a hunter yelled, "Let's see you dodge this!" How would they get down before the bullet, or whatever it was, hit them? Looking down, he relieved to see the gun hadn't been aimed at him, but at the Dog girl. Well, he owed her one for saving them.

"Move!" he yelled, tackling her and hoping he'd been quick enough to not have a dart stuck in his own neck. Panting, he looked down at her to see if she was conscious and alright. He couldn't remember her name at the moment. He held his breath, not used to being so close to another mutant, much less practuically on top of one. "Are you ok?" he asked in a low voice.

Ambrose

Ambrose blinked, once, twice, three times. "No way!" she yelled out throwing the hunting rifle at the white coat who just made an attempt to get up. It was true, thanks to the fox, and the fact that the long distance and the dart was slower than bullets made it so she missed again. Ambrose began to pace around, now beginning to worry on what to do next. Soon the mutants would all be up the tree and escaping. The guards in the field had saw what they were doing, knowing that there was no way they could catch them in the tree they turned around and began to run back to the guard posts. Ambrose saw this, "No, you guys can't make it. There is only one way" she said to herself.

She ran up the stairs into guard post three, looking around she found a spare net launcher. A gun, that dose as it's name implies. Fires a net to bind the target. She grabbed it, cocked it, and ran out of the guard post and began sprinting down the wall towards the mutants. 'lets think Ambrose, your slower than them, there is far distance between you and them, you got one shot, and your the only one that has any chance of capturing one mutant. There is no way you get in range in time!' she thought to herself.

Then Ambrose tripped, dropping the gun, she got up as quick as she could only to see the gun fall of the edge of the wall. "You got to be joking," she said to herself nearly about to lose it. She pulled out her taser, her only chance left and struggled to get to her feet. She knew at this rate the most of the mutants would be on the wall by the time she be anywhere close to using the taser on them.

(Basically, this is the solid chance for the mutants to escape.)

Pipper

Pip stayed close behind everyone just encase someone was hurt or started to trail behind. "Will we make it?" she asked her self as she felt a sharp pain in her leg, she yelped and quickly clamped her mouth shut, she couldn't let anyone care about her until she was sure everyone else was safe, she panted harshly as the urge to howl came upon her. "No, you must stay strong, what if someone needs help!" She said, keeping up with the other people.
[sorry it took me a while to post, couldn't get to a computer this week.]
