"Hey" great...now they were really in for it. Elle turned to look at the girl with a straight jacket on. If they made any more noise they'd all get the orange serum.
"I have an escape plan, and I'll free you all as well," she said. Elle simply raised an eyebrow. "Look,
girl, you are in a freaking
straight jacket. If anything, I'll be saving your ass," She said, clearly not one to be bossed around.
"But it will only work if I can get this straight jacket off. I can't come up with anything so I was wondering...do you guys have any ideas?" Elle sighed. She couldn't get her straight jacket off for her because she wasn't in the cage next to hers. "Try rubbing the string that ties the arms back against something sharp," she suggested, before sitting down and stretching out her wings as much as she could.
"I know where a scientist keeps their keys to our cells, so if I can get this straight jacket off, get out of my cell and get those keys, then we'll all be free," The girl continued. Elle almost ground.
If.
if she got out of her cage. That was the difficult part. "Ok, here's the thing little miss know it all. Yeah, ok, you know where the keys are. But how are you getting out? Getting that stupid straight jacket off that you got yourself into will be the easiest part. How are you getting out of your cell? Huh? Your cage is locked with a key. Unless a scientist just happens to drop the key into your cage, you aren't getting out. I tried picking the locks once, but it normally doesn't work, as if they were designed a certain way. The only time your cage is open, you will be surrounded by guys with tranquilizer guns. Last time I checked, your ability isn't that much on the offense. Even if you do manage to get out, you would have to bypass all the guards, because by now it would be likely that the alarm is raised, and the whole building is on lockdown. Got it? If anything, I will be escaping. I'd barely make it out with my life, let alone freeing everybody else. I've tried it before sweetheart. I'll even try again if you want me to," she said, a smirk on her face. This girl clearly didn't get it. In the eighteen long years that they had been there, they had ramped up security a lot.
Elle sighed. Might as well try again. Clutching her throat, she started gasping and coughing, faking spasms in her body. Almost immediately, the lone scientist that was taking notes came over and signaled for a group of three to come over. The one with a key unlocked her and typed in the keypad. "What's going on?" he asked, checking her pulse. The scientist who was originally taking notes started scribbling madly. The two guy with tranquilizers hauled me out of me cage. This was it. In one motion, she sprung out her wings, whacking both guards in the head. Then she punched one and sent the other into spasming pain before he could reach his tranquilizer gun. The other guard she had punched started to get up, by she kicked him down again. The scientist that had checked her pulse was radioing in, and sure enough, alarms started flaring. Practically lunging at him, she snatched up his key, but guards were already coming in. Time to take to the skies.
Elle groaned, then pushed off the ground, and flapped her unsteady wings. Guards were streaming into the room, aiming for her and shooting. She managed to dodge most of them. Tucking her wings in, she dive-bombed downward, plowing into several guards as she did. Some guards were standing in front of cages. Seeing the kid in the glass box, she sent the guard in front of his into one of her pain attacks. He started spasming on the ground and she hovered over his cage, avoiding bullets from the few that weren't plowed over by her wings. Fumbling to unlock his little box, she finally managed. However, something sharp pierced her thigh.
Shit. game over.
"Escape attempt number 146," she said toward the girl before collapsing to the ground, guards falling on her, and running off with the key before anyone else could get it.
