Sevan Raul

"If I had a life, I would dedicate it to both you and your offspring, Lord Death. However, I can't exactly say the same for Raul."

a character in “My Daddy Death: Revamp”, as played by Gintoki Sakata

Description

Name: Sevan(See-vahn)/Raul
Nicknames or Alias: The Chimera of Pestilence(Plague)
Age: 714(Combination of their 2 ages. Wolf: 352 Ram: 362
Age Appearence: Mid-20's
Gender: Male
Human Appearance: Image
True Appearance: Image

Personality: Sevan isn't exactly one person. Instead he shares 1 body with another entity named, Raul. Whenever they are formally called upon, they are addressed as either Sevan Raul or the Chimera of Pestilence. However, Sevan is the dominant mind over the two. Raul is only able to control their body when Sevan either enables him to, or falls asleep. It is very rare to see their body sleeping, as when one mind rests, the other awakens. It's a good thing he is already dead or this would become a huge issue, as the body would constantly break down from exhaustion.
Sevan is a smart and daring fellow. He remains perfectly calm in almost any situation. No matter now dangerous. He is kind and gentlemanly towards Death's children and most others, but there are some people that can get on his nerves(*coughRaul!cough*). He does however, have a comediac side. Whenever an important conversation comes up, Sevan ussually adds in his 2 cents, sounding as if he knows absolutely everything on what they're talking about. Even making basic points, that actually make sense. A few seconds later however, he will ask what they're talking about, having actually had no idea what he was talking about. He is very protective of the children, and incredibly loyal to his master, Death. Even with his naturally calm composure, he has tendencies to snap when issues involving either of their safety is involved. Around most people, Sevan is highly sociable, even though he talks like an old Englishman most of the time. While Sevan has had many suitors, he has always turns them down(Like a gentleman, of course.), as love isn't a pleasure he chooses to dable in. He does often have to deal with the many nightly affairs Raul takes part in, however.
Raul is practically Sevan's polar opposite. He is ill-tempered, easily annoyed, brutish, and very aggitating himself. He is constantly picking unnecissary fights, often dragging the children into it, with no reguard for their safety. This ussually results in Sevan taking back the body to apologize to whoever Raul offended, sometimes having to resort to beating them up anyway. Once Raul regains the body, he complains that Sevan got the satisfaction of beating them up instead. Despite his attitude, Raul has a deep sense of pride. He is very insecure about his image. Whenever someone badmouths him or belittles him, instead of getting angry, he would get very embarrassed or hurt. Raul can be a real softy, which is one reason he puts up the tough guy front. He is far from loyal towards death, because he had the displeasure of sharing a body with Sevan when he died. Although Raul has taken to the more modern way of speech, he is somewhat of a sociopath. He prefers to kill someone, rather than talk to them. Whenever he has control over the body, he keeps to himself, wrecking his and Sevan's human home while eating pizza, getting drunk, and watching old movies from the 80's on their outdated TV.
Sevan being smarter than Raul, fights more tactically and skillfully, while Raul depends on his brute force and brash moves. If they had been two seperate people, the pair would have complimented each other significantly in combat.
Family Life: Sevan and Raul are the sons of Cerberus.
Afflication in the world of the living: Sevan is a bartender on Wednesday-Friday evenings at the Reaper's Pub. He works diligently, sometimes spying on some of the children who are old enough to go there.

Sevan's likes: Sevan enjoys serving Lord Death, and would do almost anything for him. Over time he has also become quite fond of the children, as he has been watching some of them grow for many years. He doesn't mind a good fight every now and then, as he hasn't been in a decent one for 158 years. He has a tender love for sweets. Mainly chocolates. He would give his left arm for a box. Literally in fact.
Sevan's dislikes: Even though it is under Lord Death's orders, he despises walking around as a human. He feels that appearing as a human makes it look like he isn't proud of who he is, often refering to it as "false skin". Even to this day, he hasn't gotten used to it. He is ever so relieved when he is able to return to the Underworld every week to report on how the children are doing. Another thing that gets on his nerves are Raul's insecent complaints and mood swings. He has once commented that Raul should stick with one personality, before they have 3 inhabitants controling their body.
Raul's likes: Raul enjoys fighting, winning, and total destruction. He gets a kick when an opponent looks at him in utter fear, knowing that they have no chance of besting him, or even surviving. Raul's cruel nature causes him to destroy things on impulse, even when he isn't trying to. He merely laughs it off, getting bored after a while and leaving. He also enjoys gloating, and telling of his many great(mostly minor except for a few) accomplishments. Unlike Sevan, he actually enjoys the world of the living. There are plenty of people to fight(that he can actually beat without Sevan stepping in).
Raul's dislikes: Sevan. He utterly detests him. Raul hates Sevan's cool-headed, some-cocky attitude, even though Raul is pretty much the cockiest person in the world. He also hates the fact that Sevan has control over their body most of the time. If there was a sun in the Underworld, Raul certainly would have never seen it, as it would always be a dark, dim, boring night for him to awaken to. That would be the case, if it weren't for Raul constantly waking up to bug Sevan every chance he gets. Another thing Raul hates is losing. Do to his clumsy fighting style, he is easily bested by even some of the weakest entities. Which leads to the last thing he hates. Relying on Sevan to win fights that he can't win.

Power: Sevan and Raul's abilities consist of using the mix of purple, pink, and blue flames immiating from their body and rushing at her opponents, using them for a mass impact. Their flames are incredibly dense and nearly impossible to put out. Even if the opponent managed too, they could light them up again with ease. When Raul is fighting, the fire noticably flickers and juts out more violently. They are also able to spurt them out of their mouth while in their true form. While the flames do have physical form, they do not burn. Instead, the flame cause whatever they touch to decay slowly. Even non-biological objects begin to deteriate and mold at alarming speeds. Living organisms touched by these flames dissolve completely within 20 minutes or so. Entities are less effected by the flames, as it merely causes the part it touches to weaken significantly.
The ram head on their tail also plays some part in combat. They can aim the ram head at the opponent, as it shoots out a strange dust from it's nostrils. This dust enter's the opponent's body slowly killing them from the inside. However the lethality of the dust is completely random. Sometimes it can kill, while sometimes it produces a small flue in their bodies. There are even times when it doesn't do anything. The horns on the ram's head can also be grounded up to make a medicine that cures the victims.
If an injury that manages to penetrate their skin were to occur, the bulky, black liquid that replaces their blood begins to ooze out. They can make use of their speed, and spread the substance across the battlefield. This is Raul's specialty, as he is both faster than Sevan when using the body, and gets injured more often. The substance emits a powerful miasma, that when inhaled, nulls the senses of the victims body, and depending on the amount of miasma, can paralyze them completely. The ultimate state of this attack is ultimate paralysis. This puts the victim in a state where all bodily functions shut down or rather, freeze. This would include brain activity as well.
In human form their abilities are limited to immiating small amounts of flame from their limbs. Sometimes they can make a medium-sized weapon from them, that can only maintain it's solid form for a short period of time. Their "blood" is also the same as if they were in their true form.

Bio: Around 349 years ago there was a wolf who had been hunting the same ram for three weeks. Each attempt failed, and he was forced to kill off another member of the herd instead. The ram seemed to taunt him each time, proud that he had once again bested the wolf. He had no pack, and hunted alone. However, this wolf was particularly smart. One night, the wolf desended onto a small mountain path it had ran through before. It knew exactly where the rams were heading to, and planed to ambush them. When the time was right, the wolf sprung from a low mountain ledge, onto the back of the great ram. There was a fierce struggle, but in the end, the wolf finally managed to kill the great ram by ripping its throat out. However, his victory was shortlived, as he succumbed to a wound the ram had inflicted, when it stomped down on his ribcage. The bones jammed into a couple of vital organs, including his heart and he died. Afterward's the two souls became one. They had become an abomination. The smart wolf, having the dominant mind, took over the majority of the body, while the strong ram waited, caged inside his own mind until the wolf slept.
The conjoined spirit wandered the earth without a purpose. They had tried reacting with other wildlife before, when the ram tried to get back with his herd. But they seemed to ignore them. They had even stumbled into a human town once. They were able to react with everything. Sometimes, they purposely bumped into people. The people starred in their direction, startled, then went on their way as if nothing had happened. Even before their deaths, the wolf and the ram were strange. The wolf's pack had abandoned it when it was merely a pup, for reasons unknown. The ram's herd always strayed behind him, never getting to close, although he had been completely oblivious. They both seemed to retain rational thought uncommon to their kind. As if they were already something more than they had appeared to be. The wolf thought it was strange that the humans weren't reacting to them in the way they had reacted to him when he was merely a wolf. He quickly made the assumption that they could not be seen. The ram naturally thought that this was great. He could do whatever he wanted and couldn't be caught, as long as he was controling the body. Eventually the pair traveled back into the same town, only to find that many of it's inhabitants have died or become ill because of a plague of some sort. Little did they know that it was because of them that this occured. The second time they returned, they found that the plague had gotten twice as worse. The wolf assumed that they must have been the cause of it, and decided that they should seclude themselves somewhere, so that they didn't spread it to anywhere else. During their travels the wolf and the ram had visited many places that were inhabited by other living things. Their plague killed more than they had thought. The ram didn't care what happened to anyone else, so he always did what he wanted whenever the wolf went to sleep.
This was until one day, they noticed a dark hooded figure making it's way over to them. Somehow, as the figure spoke, the wolf and ram were both able to understand what he was saying. The figure explained that it had given them both the ability to understand and speak. He gave the wolf, who had taken over at the time a chance to get used to talking. He was not used to using his voice in this way. It took a couple of months for the ram to get used to it. The figure told them, that if they came with him and pledged their iternal loyalty, that he would allow them the ability to react with the creatures in both this world and his. Instead of leaving them with this dull, boring life of lonely-ness.The ram at the time, excited by this offer urdged the wolf on to accept, although he didn't know the meaning of loyalty. The wolf thought it over and accepted. It was then that the man known as "Death" took them to the world where he resided in. Later on Cerberus, the triheaded hound guardian of the Underworld, took them in as his sons. The ram detested the thought of such a creature acting as his father, but the wolf didn't give him much choice. One day Cerberus gave them both names. He named the wolf Sevan, and the ram Raul. They both seemed fitting names for the two. Today they go by the title Sevan Raul the Chimera of Pestilence. Both messengers and warriors serving under Lord Death.
Anything else: Raul also has a soft side for cats.

Sevan was now working a Saturday morning, taking over for another bartender who was out sick. "Comon Sevi! Take a lurksie. She's real cute, right? EHEHEHE!" The drunk patron chuckled while flashing his cellphone in Sevan's face. There was a picture of a beautiful brunette woman with a dashing smile on it. "You don't say? She's is quite the beauty Joshua. If you're not careful, I might steal her for myself." Sevan chuckled lightly, while cleaning out a glass mug. "Wazzat? You wanna steal ma girl? Yur gonna haff ta fight meh first, bub!" Joshua stated before falling over. He was a regular at the Reaper's Pub, and Sevan has gotten to know him very well.

"Heh. Dumb drunk. Although. I find it funny that you work here, yet you never drink yourself." An older customer who was sitting next to Joshua commented. He was also a regular, but seemed to be a very observant one. "Oh! So you've noticed have you? Yes. It's true that I don't drink. But my brother Raul can compensate for that. Whenever I bring some liquor home for him, he guzzles it all down at once. Then he stays up all night, making me feel like I'm having the hangover." Sevan joked, while getting out from behind the counter to help Joshua back onto his seat. Except that he wasn't actually joking. It isn't unusual for Sevan to awake with a splitting headache every other morning. "My my. It looks like I'll have to call his sister to come pick him up again." Sevan shook his head at his now passed out friend.
"Heh. You sure do talk funny. And pardon me for saying so, but you and your brother's names sound a little weird to me as well." The older patron commented while starring in dissaproval of Joshua. "Ah. Well you see. My brother and I are actually from the Alps. Actually, I do believe we lived much farther south. The Underworld, you could say." Sevan said, putting on one of his winner smiles.

All of a sudden Sevan felt many strange sources of powers bursting throughout the town. 'It looks like it's finally happening, Sev. We should check it out! Let me take over!' Raul called out to him from within Sevan's head. It wasn't the first time Raul woke up while Sevan was still awake. Seeing as Raul spent most of his time sleeping anyway. 'Calm yourself Raul. You'll get your chance to burn your energy later. We have to notify Lord Death before we act.' Sevan responded, beginning to make his way towards the front door. "Jessica! Will you be fine on your own for the rest of the morning?" He called out to the waitress, who seemed to have already been ready to take over. 'She's a real busy body. And why do we have to consult that bastard for anyway? You don't have to follow his orders by the book all the time.' Raul stated, a little upset that Sevan didn't decide to take action yet. As soon as Sevan made his way out the front door, he turned the corner until he made it to an abandoned ally. He then stepped into the deepest shadows while closing his eyes, and concentrating his energy around his body.

When Sevan reopened his eyes, he was in front of a dark sinister-looking castle. It large structure cascaded along the bank of a river made of fire. The river Phlegethon. From far away the building could be mistaken for a small mountain range. "Simply breathtaking. Don't you think, Raul? As always, it's good to be home." Sevan said in absolute awe, as his flesh began to melt away and reform into his actual form. 'Sure. Whatever you say. Can we just get this over with? I don't want to be in Hades anymore than I have to be. Screw it. I'm going back to sleep.' Raul complained, before quickly drifting off. The fuzzy feeling in Sevan's head went away, signifying that Raul had indeed gone back to sleep. "Well at least I don't have to deal with him for now." Sevan stated to himself before walking towards the front gates of Castle Oblivion. Immediately, the gates opened for Sevan. 'It seems that Lord Death has been expecting me after all. Sevan thought to himself, with a tinge of excitement.

He ignored all of the creatures and followers that resided in the castle. At the moment, he was only concerned with announcing the good news to Lord Death. Soon he made it to the thrown room. The doors opened as he stood before them. Sevan bowed his head downward, almost to where his snout touched the floor. The ram-head on his tail swished around playfully, as Raul still had control over at least that. 'It would seem as if Raul is having a particularly good dream.' Sevan thought quickly before he was addressed by a raspy-voiced creature. "The Chimera of Pestilence, Sevan Raul has come to see you, Lord Death." Compared to most of the other beings in Oblivion Castle, Sevan found "Norke", Lord Death's right hand the ugliest. Norke had bulging-red eyes. Skin so black, you would guess that he bathed in charcoal. He didn't even look all too powerful, as Norke was about the size of a rabbit standing upright. And his voice was almost unbearable. Sevan figured that Lord Death must have picked him out of every other entity, because he was the most gruesome. Although Sevan has seen far worse out in the scorching plains of Hades.
"Lord Death. I bring news regarding your children. It seems they have finally awakened." Sevan smirked inwardly, desperately awaiting his master's response.

-

The silence that inhabited Death's throne room was almost suffocating. The shrouded man studied Sevan Raul. The two spirits he trusted with all his non-existent heart.
"This is an interesting development," A dark, deep voice finally sounded from the hooded figure. "Go, my dear friend, I predict they will be struggling with their new identities. It would be an inconvenience if the world of the living were informed."
He meant to stop, but instead added something more "I will be there when I can, take care of them until I am able to assist."

Within the small building stood three people. Each of these people were armed with briefcases. Judging from the tension in the room, these three weren't here to throw a party.

One of the men came forward, opening up a briefcase containing a lot of money- millions of the stuff. In response, the other two men came forward, showing a large amount of weapons. The first person began expecting these weapons, nodded, and passed his briefcase over to the,
As they nodded and turned to leave, there was the sound of a window breaking. The people blinked to their side. As they did, a man shouted "EXTREME ENTRY!" as he spin kicked one of the weapon dealers in the face.
Not letting the criminals recover, Remiel smirked as he took one down grabbing his gun, and pointing it at the other one. " Freeze, sucker. Police." He said with a confident smirk.
With the swift attack that left the other one essentially with his pants down, he held his hands out in surrender. The other two weren’t really in a mood to move, but that was okay with Remiel.

...

As he watched the three being led into a police car, Remiel let out a hardy laugh. "Oh, it always feels great watching people get led away into jail." He said out loud. This was the most fun working undercover that he had ever had. He might just keep up this ruse for a bit longer. HE turned and looked through the window at the criminals. “I hope you idiots like prison food. I think today’s special is slop with a side helping of slop.”

He gave a laugh, tapping the police door, which then sped off to prison. Really, this was his sort of job. HE could pull off as many extreme maneuvers as he wanted, and the people only respected him for it. Plus, crime was at an all-time low, so two birds with one extreme stone.
He waved to his underlings, turning and walking down a corner. AS he did, he stepped from one world to the next, the where the castle of hades stood before him. He smirked- this place always felt amazing to Remiel, and he walked down and into the castle with an air of confidence.
This place always seemed interesting to Remiel. IT was always dark, or at least whenever he showed up. This castle that housed Death himself… the guy must have one hell of an interior decorator. Then again, he supposed he could have used his powers to revive one specifically for modeling his house… food for thought, if nothing else.

He stretched his back out as he walked forward, to where the last pits of a conversation with Death and … was it Saul? Guess it would have to be, because he was fairly certain that if Revan was talking, Death would have ripped him to pieces or some such. Arabelle was in the corner listening in, but she moved to speak to Saul.
“Did I hear correctly? It’s time to wake the little one’s up?” HE asked as he walked forward. If that was true, then this was going to be a rather extreme week.

Sevan was delighted to hear that Lord Death seemed intrigued by his news. It wasn't every day that he had seemed so interested in Sevan's briefings. "Go, my dear friend, I predict they will be struggling with their new identities. It would be an inconvinence if the world of the living were informed." Sevan almost lifted his head when his master had stopped speaking, but halted as it seemed Lord Death had more to say. "I will be there when I can, take care of them until I am able to assist." Sevan opened his eyes in surprise. It was rare for his master to leave the Underworld off business like this. He quickly lifted his head, to lay eyes upon his master. Even Sevan and the other trusted followers of Death have yet to see their master's true appearence before. It would be a lie if Sevan said he never wondered what lied behind that black cloak.

As Sevan turned to leave, he reverted back into his human form with a sigh of discontent. Upon opening his eyes, he could make out two distinct, familiar figures standing at the doorway of Death's throne room. "Could it be?... Arabelle! Remiel!" He exclaimed as he made his way towards them. "I haven't seen either of your for 20 years. I take it you've become accustom to your human lives?" He began. Directing his attention to Remiel, he showed a friendly smile. "Raul has been complaining nonstop, that his old sparing partner is never around. You should enlighten him sometime soon. Finally facing a challenging opponent would probably lessen the death on the streets of Reaper. Our lord has enough on his hands without Raul adding to it." He declared.

Afterwards, his expression turned serious. "As great as this reunion has been, I'm afraid there is an issue at hand, that may have something to do with the children's awakening." He began. "As we were told, there are '7' children that lord Death has born. However, I believe all of us have felt a strange source of power over the past 16 years that is somewhat... similar to that of the children's. Exactly the same in fact. Every time Raul and I had made an attempt to investigate it, we came up with empty results. The power source after all, only appears for a few seconds, before disappearing. But this time, I felt not 7, but 8 power sources. I believe we may have an impostor attempting to kill the children, by blending in with them. Seeing as the impostor has stopped disappearing, we should have a better change of hunting him or her down. Don't you agree, my friends?"

Arabelle

Arabelle felt simply delighted at being reunited with her friends, it had been quite a while but time had little value to spirits, they were eternal after all. Taking a passing glance at both Remiel and whom she had deduced as Sevan she smiled. "I haven't seen either of your for 20 years." Sevan exclaimed, Arabelle nodded politely; had it been that long? she thought absent-mindedly, "I take it you've become accustom to your human lives?" Once again Arabelle nodded happily and went to run a hand though her hair, upon realizing she had no hair she spoke " Too accustomed I think, my friend."

Her head turned as Remiel and Sevan began to chat, reminiscing about old history she supposed. Thinking for a moment about how they were going to handle the situation, they would have to be cautious; with the people and the children. Depending on which child, some would accept it without question reveling in it, others would need proof, lastly the ones she feared most would reject it or go mad. To prevent them from going into that state they would have to be gradually broken into the supernatural world, slowly made to change and adapt and Arabelle promised herself she would be gentle with her Lord's children.

Turning back towards Sevan and Remiel she patiently waited for things to move to more urgent matters. After Sevan made some smart quip about Raul adding to death, something Arabelle fancied he did quite often considering that brute's love for violence, Sevan's face took on a serious look of importance, Arabelle found herself attentive and curious in an instant; "As great as this reunion has been, I'm afraid there is an issue at hand, that may have something to do with the children's awakening," Arabelle nodded, it was really quite obvious with all that power being released all over Reaper.

Listening quietly, occasionally nodding Arabelle did not say anything during Sevan's quick briefing. It was followed by a sense of dread and urgency, an impostor? A wolf among the sheep, Arabelle then paused and took a quick breath. "Although I agree Sevan, we should be concerned with this... eighth power source. We cannot yet jump to conclusions without actual proof." Arabelle stated, a sense of justice and fairness flowing through her. "We should be wary and investigate... if the power has been fluctuating for sixteen years then the children's awakening have drawn it out into the open. It is connected to them in some way, perhaps as a murderer, pursuer? We cannot say yet."

Arabelle's demeanor took on a more stoic turn as she began to speak with authority, "It should be dealt with though, we cannot have it interfering with the children. It would be wise for one of us to pursue it. I fear my power would not be able to match it, my power has been untested for too long" She took a glance at Remiel "And that one of us might be too heavy handed..." Her gaze settled on Sevan and although she did not outright say he should go she was subtly implying. "We should also not waste too many resources on this. While one pursues the eighth power, we should go after the children."

“Oh ya?” Was what Remiel said as Sevan approached him. He laughed in response. “Well, I'm always ready for a good fight, just be sure to make it more extreme than last time, okay?”

He stretched. “Oh ya, I'm enjoying like as a cop. I can be as extreme as I want to, and I actually get REWARDED for that. Best. Job.Ever,” He laughed, thinking to today's escapade with the weapon smugglers. Really, who else got to kick in windows and be announced as a hero because of it? In the old days, if a city guard had did that, he would have been bitched too day and night, begging for compensation. Nowadays? Another medal to add to the closet,

He closed his eyes as Sevan began explaining the situation. “Wait wait, wait just a second, how can someone mimic a child of the boss man? I mean, those power signatures are pretty unique aren't they?” He asked. He was going to suggest having the police keep an eye out for suspicious teenagers... but if a teenager WASNT acting suspicious, he would assume the world was coming to an end. “I'll double my patrol for now, cast out my nets,:

As Arabelle began talking , Remiel turned and started heading for the door. “We can sit here and talk all we want, but If we don't DO something, those kids can wind up dead, and I would rather not be the one sitting around when the Boss Man finds out. Call me when you get back to the real world. Just dial 911 and ask for the sheriff.”

While Sevan agreed that they shouldn't jump to conclusions, he couldn't rid himself of the wrenching feeling in his gut that something was seriously wrong with the eighth power source. However, Arabelle's indirect suggestion that he should carry out the main investigation was clear enough for him to pick up. Although, it reassured him that Remiel would be assisting him through his own methods. Sevan envied how well he was able to make use of his human life for matters concerning both the world of the living, and the Underworld. He didn't like the idea of attempting to hide things from his lord, or deceive him in any way. But he knew that he had already been doing so by not mentioning the eighth power in his earlier reports. There was no use in giving his lord any cause for alarm now.

After Remiel had already began leaving, Sevan smiled and turned to give a friendly wave to Arabelle, before closing his eyes, and shifting back to the world of the living. In the middle of doing so, he tracked the first child he could find, and appeared in a close by area. Once he opened his eyes, he found that he was in a back yard of what appeared to be an orphanage. Swiftly, he sprinted through the yard, and found cover in the form of a medium-sized bush."Lets see... If memory serves me correctly, several of the children grew up in an orphanage for at least some point in their lives..." He spoke to himself quietly, closing his eyes and trying to recall who he was looking for. 'Ah, yes! I do believe this is the residence of a miss, Victorinne Eliade!' He thought to himself with a sense of brilliance.

As he surveyed the yard, Sevan found no signs of life. Finally, he put his ear to a shallow, wooden portion of the house, near where he was hiding. Sevan could make out several voices coming from within the room on the other side. He concentrated, while searching through the souls of the house, until he finally came upon Rinne's. 'Hmm. It seems that she has yet to go through any of the three stages...Duly noted.' He thought. He again felt that familiar buzz in his head that could only mean that Raul had awoken again. 'Annoying...' Sevan managed, before Raul began his yammering. 'Who you calling annoying, eh? We finally hunting down these brats or what?' Raul asked, with a mental yawn. 'Although I don't approve of the term "hunting" when referring to Lord Death's children, yes. We are indeed seeking them out.' He replied, while making his way to a nearby window and peering through. He ignored any of the incesent rambling Raul said, while scoping out the room intently. From there, he could make out Rinne with three of what he assumed were her foster siblings. She seemed to be the only one facing in a direction to where he could be within sight. Sevan smiled to himself, reveling in how happy this child seemed. He felt almost ashamed that he was about to show her a world where that happiness cannot exist. He turned away from the window, and lifted his finger directly underneath it. He channeled energy through it and sparked a blue, purple, and pink flame from his finger. It was bright enough to be seen through the window, but not enough to where it gave off a heavy glow through the morning light. The flame only lasted a second, as he merely wanted to grab Rinne's attention. Not make her think the yard was on fire.

Rinne N. Eliade
.

Rinne was standing at the sink when she saw the flash. A bright burst of blue, purple and pink, right beneath the window. What the hell...? She stared at it, tilting her head slightly. "Hey, Rinne, what gives?" Jeffrey spoke up from behind her. Rinne turned quickly, meeting Jeffrey's curious gaze. "Um, nothing," she smiled, trying to appear normal.

"Nicky, take over for a minute. I think I saw something out in the yard." Without giving Nicky time to respond, she hurried outside, looking around for the source of the flash. "Hello? Anyone there?"

No response - but as she get closer to the building, she saw a boy crouching under the window. Approaching cautiously, she spoke again. "Hey! What are you doing?"

Sevan waited for Rinne, after he had caste the flame. He wondered how accepting she would be, when he told her of her fate, and about her father. Sevan could only hope for the best. Deep in his thoughts, Sevan didn't notice Rinne come outside and call out for someone.

He turned his head in her direction as soon as she spotted him, and fell over, having been surprised. 'Death's child!' He screamed in his head. 'Hey. She ain't bad looking either.' Raul added in with a snicker. 'Don't even think about it, you buffoon.' Sevan sneered back at him.

Sevan soon recovered, and stood up, regaining his composure. He cleared his throat before answering Rinne's question. "Greetings, dear child of Death. My name is Sevan, and I have come to escort you to my lord. Your father." Sevan explained, with a bow. Sevan ended his bow, and looked at Rinne with a charming smile. "I know this must be a little hard to take in at first, but I hope you'll soon learn to accept things how they are." Sevan followed up, now giving her a sentimental expression.

"Unfortunately, you aren't safe here. There are... forces that will come after you, and if you stay here, then they might come after your family as well." Sevan told her. "I can understand how this has come out of almost nowhere, but it is indeed the truth. You also have seven siblings who are currently receiving the same news that I am presenting you. However, unlike them, you seem to have yet gone through the three stages of your awakening. The awakening of your otherworldly blood, and powers. But this also gives me a chance to warn you. You will very soon start to experience unbearable heartaches. But please know that this is the first step of your awakening." Sevan explained, trying to sound as believable as possible.

Ulrich smirked, knowing he could also get Aria to get him milk, just by the fact that hes her boss. While simultaneously working on his research, he gave halfhearted responses and grunts to Aria, while actually maintaining the information she gave him. When Aria asked him what he was doing, Ulrich scoffed. "More like the assistants have been freaking me out. They keep pestering me, to get me milk, and wake me up from my naps. Whats more, they keep using this creepy, friendly voice when they do it. Do they think I'm their buddy or something? I just might be..." He complained, knowing that they were most likely just kissing up to him, or dutifully doing their job. Meanwhile, one of the assistants who had woken him up earlier, grimaced at Ulrich. "Ars Goetia? An interesting read. The entirety of the contents were dreadfully boring, though. Got it." Ulrich agreed, instantly forgetting the name of the book right after. He never intended to remind her in the first place.

"I apologize to bother you, but would you by chance have a device capable of receiving signals of specific wavelengths? I may or may not have a tracking device put onto a... creature of sorts, if that interests you." Ulrich's ears almost visually perked at these words. He turned his head, to find Jameson was now in sight. Jameson was one of the few people(or toys as he referred to them as), who actually interested Ulrich, other than Aria. One of the main reasons, is that Jameson was the only man who was able to truly challenge and even best Ulrich's contradictory personality. If Ulrich saw Jameson as anything, it would either be as his favorite toy, or a broken toy that refused to do as he bidded, and needed to be disposed of. There were things that Ulrich didn't like about him however. How his every action and word was practically a lie. A facade to improve his image in the eyes of his peers, and others in general. While not every word Ulrich said was the truth, he was never prone to hiding his true nature from anyone. Why would he need to hide himself from toys, afterall?

Turning back around, he responded. "Yeah. I'm sure Aria has one of those in her dresser, next to her bed. It seems prone to attracting cats for the most part. Although I'm not particularly interested in it." Ulrich answered him, displaying his subconscious habit of sexually harassing women with his words. At least he tells them its subconscious. As Jameson began asking Aria about her progress, Ulrich scoffed again. She's just been playing in the dirt all day, Jameson. Come here, if you want to see some "good" progress regarding the mysteries of Reaper. Although, most of it is complete bullshit." He told James, while waving his hand forward, to signal that he should come over and look. Ulrich had completely forgotten about the papers that still lied on the floor, slowly gathering dust.

Rinne N. Eliade

"What the - " Rinne glared at the man. Seven, Sivan - no, Sevan, that's what he called himself. A few choice words escaped Rinne that would have gotten her in big trouble with Abigail had her or Robyn been around to hear it.

"Are you high?" Rinne demanded. She sniffed, but couldn't smell any trace of drugs, or even smoke. She placed a hand on her hip. "Firstly, let's get a few things straight. One," she held up a finger, "cut the 'dear child' thing. That's just plain creepy. Two," another finger went up, "I don't have a father. Abigail never married, and as much as we act otherwise, I'm her foster child. Third, I have six siblings, and as far as I know no s*** news like that ever reached them. Fourth, I have absolutely no idea what 'otherworldly blood and powers' are." Here she mimicked Sevan, putting on a voice that sounded extraordinarily like him.

"And lastly..." She took a deep breath, ending her tirade. "Let me give you a warning in return. Leave, now. If you return, or terrorise my siblings like this, I will f***ing castrate you, you hear me?" She cared not for the fact that this Sevan guy was probably much older and stronger than her - her only thoughts at that moment were of her siblings.

Rinne straightened up and shot him a challenging stare. "Want to test that out?"

"Are you high?" Was Rinne's response after a few confused ramblings, and vulgar language. She then began sniffing around the air. Sevan looked at her, confused. He didn't quite know how to respond. 'High?' He asked Raul, seeing how he was more up to date with present day terminology. 'Shes asking if you're on drugs, dumbass.' Raul replied, arrogantly. Sevan opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off before he could start speaking.

"Firstly, let's get a few things straight. One, cut the 'dear child' thing. That's just plain creepy."
'What should I call her, then?' Sevan pondered. 'Maybe Babe?' Raul suggested.
"Two, I don't have a father. Abigail never married, and as much as we act otherwise, I'm her foster child."
'Oh my... Shes rejected this reality completely.' Sevan thought, wearing a worried expression, as she continued.
"Third, I have six siblings, and as far as I know no s*** news like that ever reached them. Fourth, I have absolutely no idea what 'otherworldly blood and powers' are"
Sevan opened his mouth to argue and further explain things, but was silenced again, as Rinne was not yet finished.
"And lastly... Let me give you a warning in return. Leave, now. If you return, or terrorize my siblings like this, I will f***ing castrate you, you hear me?"

With that, Sevan stared at her in disbelief. "She... Hates me." He simply said, falling to his knee's, with tears filling up his eyes. "Raul! What a horrible messenger I have been to our lord. To make his daughter detest me so much with our first greeting. I don't even deserve to exist!" He yelled aloud, now trembling, and not even thinking about the words he spoke. Anyone who saw him at the time would think he was mental. 'Are you fucking kidding me? You're actually letting that little girl get to you, Sev? Puhahahaha! Hey. You're minds pretty weak right now... I bet I could take over if I wanted to. That means I can do whatever I want to her, right?' Sevan let out a slight gasp, at Raul's last words. Realizing what Raul spoke of was the truth, he quickly wiped away his tears and stood up. He regained his former composure and spoke confidentially. "I won't let that happen. Daughter of Lord Death! I Sevan Raul, the Chimera of Pestilence swear undying loyalty and servitude to you, and your family! I will gladly lay down my existence, to see that no harm comes your way! So I beg of you! Please come with me to meet your father!" As his shouting ended, a large spark of the usual flames lighted up from his limbs, then quickly went out. 'Well someone got a little overexcited...' Raul commented, before going back to sleep. He was now bored, seeing as he missed his chance to take over the body. Sevan had been yelling enough to draw the attention of nearby neighbors, who curiously drew near to see what the commotion was. Sevan however, paid them no mind.

Rinne's eyes widened. "Hey, hey, hey!" she said, loud enough for Sevan to hear but not the neighbours. Trying to smile at the neighbours, she waved them away. "Sorry," she called. "My cousin. Sleepwalking. And talking." She laughed, trying Slowly, they headed back, but not before casting Sevan some suspicious glances.

Turning back to Sevan, she inhaled deeply. "Okay. Assuming this... whatever you're talking about is real. Why now? Why not from birth? Why let me go seventeen years thinking I was unwanted?"

Rinne glanced around again. "Actually, you know what, let's not do this here. Come on." Seizing his elbow, she pulled him towards the back door, out of sight of her siblings. Trying to be quiet, she led Sevan upstairs, to her bedroom.

Seating him down firmly on her bed, Rinne stood over him. "Okay. Talk. I'm all ears."
