"Do I look fat or something?" Aya has a handsome frame with slightly wide shoulders, he has some muscles that fit perfectly with his image. Not to overbearing but not to soft just in the middle.

Cooking Fanatic
Aya loves Cooking. He could talk about it all day, especially pastries. He always cooks for his Families just for the fun of it. He sometimes uses the schools kitchen to make things for his friends to eat. He works at a pastry shop near the school called,"Heavenly Pastries". Though with this said Aya can't stand bad cooking from himself or anyone else, he will criticize that person to the point of tears in their eyes if they would to make a mistake or at least wouldn't try. Even if he likes to cook their are some foods that Aya can't stand and that's bitter food. It would cause Aya to become sick to his stomach, he tries to avoid it, mostly things like coffee.

Motherly
People's definition of Aya is Mother. He is always taking care of people and seems to now what to say when needed. He is a wonderful listener when you need someone to talk to. He isn't a pushover though, he is stern when he needs to be and isn't afraid to put you in your places if needed. But he always does it with a smile on his face, which scares people even more. He doesn't judge others and would never bring someone down on purpose.

Assertive
When Aya has something he believes in he will stick to it. He is extremely hard to sway, when it comes to something he likes. He doesn't give u easily even if its to he point of life or death. He hates arguing but isn't afraid to state his point if needed. He isn't afraid to put someone in their place, if he sees the need to do so. He likes things a certain way and will keep it that way even if you disagree.

Secretive
Aya is a very secretive person. He has many things which he hides from people, even his friends and family. He seems to avoid eye contact when he does have one. People would sometimes see him staring out into space in the middle of class. It isn't like he hides them on purpose he just doesn't want to burden others with his problems, so he keeps them bottled inside.

"It must be my fault..."
Aya was 5 years old when his Mother and Father got a divorce, it was like a sudden gust of wind. Everything scattered around, leaving nothing safe. His Father had taken Nao away from him, and Aya was to stay with his Mother. He was devastated, yet never said a single word. Since whenever he tried to say something his Mother would look at him with gentle eyes and say,"You will always be with Mommy...right"? Aya couldn't say no for two reasons, the first being he couldn't bear to see his Mother being alone. Second, he feared what she would do if he had said no. You see Aya's Mother...had a "special sickness" called Schizophrenia, Schizophrenia is a brain disorder that affects the way a person acts, thinks, and sees the world. People with schizophrenia have an altered perception of reality, often a significant loss of contact with reality. They may see or hear things that don’t exist, speak in strange or confusing ways, believe that others are trying to harm them, or feel like they’re being constantly watched. With such a blurred line between the real and the imaginary, schizophrenia makes it difficult—even frightening—to negotiate the activities of daily life. In response, people with schizophrenia may withdraw from the outside world or act out in confusion and fear. Aya had moved into a well built house probably 12 miles away from his Father's house so he could still she Nao. Yet he rarely went outside as he got to experience his Mother's illness first hand. Aya never questioned his Mother's illness, he soon adapted to the wild words and abusive behavior she inflicted on him. It started off on a bad note where he would get beaten by her, as she would yell,"MONSTER! GET AWAY! DEMON"! He learned how to clam her down to a minimum level, or at least to the point were she would stop beating him. Since She couldn't do the things normal people could Aya had to do them. He cleaned the House everyday, since his Mother forbid him from going to school. He cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner for his Mother. He did the laundry everyday,as his mother sat quietly in a corner. He would go grocery shopping for food or supplies, one of them being wine for his Mother. He did everything, not even once had Aya complained about the pain he felt, he stayed silent, and whenever his father would call to check up on him. Aya would only answer cheerily,"Mommy and Me are happily living together. I want to stay like this forever". That was his reply to everything, he never showed his true emotions. He learned to hide them,because he knew his Mother couldn't handle them. Aya was only five at this time, he had become accustomed to this lifestyle, even if it wasn't the most perfect. In all honesty Aya only had one complaint, yet he kept it hidden in his heart never speaking it aloud. His Mother would sometimes start to sing this haunting song as she stared out into the distance, this would always cause nightmares for Aya, as he could remember each and every word to the demonic melody.

A year had passed and Aya was know 6 years old. At this time of his life he started to pursue a passion which he truly loved, Cooking. You name it he would cook it, but his favorite were the pastries. The reason for this was because one day as he was baking a cake his Mother had come into the kitchen smiling. She patted his head softly and for the first time she praised him,"You are a good boy Aya. Always doing all these big things by yourself. What a good boy". That day Aya nodded until his neck felt like breaking off, he couldn't explain what he felt when he received a compliment from his Mother...it felt magnificent, he wanted to feel this again. Since that day Aya had started learning different kinds of recipes while juggling the school lessons,since he was self teaching himself. He would always look forward to his Mothers rare compliments, though on some days she wouldn't give it to him, and instead would beat him. Still he kept it bottled not letting it affect him, he covered the scars on his body whenever his Father came for a quick visit. This routine lasted for 3 years, Aya hiding the scars he had received from his Mother, and lying to his Father. At this time cooking became his outlet mostly pastries, it was the only way to get away from all the world. He would make up new designs for the look of the cakes and the little details it contained.

Aya was now 9 years old and since day one he had kept in contact with Nao through phone, and giving him sweets whenever they met. It seemed the years hadn't affected their relationship as brothers at all. Yet Aya's Mother had noticed Aya leaving the House more so he could play with Nao. And when coming home he would be laughing more...for the first time he smiled happily as he worked in the house. She feared that Aya would be taken from her...to the dream they were in...her only tie to reality...or was this even reality anymore. It wasn't... this was all a dream...and you wake up from dreams...when a shock happens...right? Aya's mother turned to see her child laughing as he talked on the phone. The poor child..trapped in his own dream... "Don't worry I'll wake us up...and than we can go back to the way we were...just you and me. Just you and me...My little Aya".

2 months had passed sine Aya's Mother statement, it was the usual days and nothing really changed. It was late at night when Aya was leaving his Father's house, as he was walking home his phone had rang,"Hello"? It was Nao who was calling because he was worried,"Are you going to be okay"? Aya smiled happily,"Yes, I'm almost home. It's Mom's 36 birthday and I want to celebrate it with her". "Okay, but call if anything goes wrong". Aya laughed,"Everything is-", when Aya walked into the house it was completely destroyed. Nao was calling his name,but he had closed the phone, cutting off the connection. He started around the house it was a mess, broken glass scattered the ground, furniture was teared apart, everything looked as if a wild beast had come inside. Aya ran up the stairs calling out for his Mother,"Mom! Where are you!? Answer me! Mother!!? Mother"!!! Aya was frightened something had happened to his Mother, as he couldn't find him. He thought he heard a sound down stairs, a locking sound. He hurried down the stairs to see nothing, he than ran back upstairs after checking downstairs. He ran across the up stairs hall, when he heard a gentle melody. It was his Mother's Lullaby and it was coming from her bedroom. Aya ran in to find his Mother sitting on her bed, singing softly to herself:

Aya walked toward her cautiously, but with concern, he bent down in front of her,"Mother what happened? Are you okay"? She looked down and smiled happily, her hair was in complete disarray as if it was caught in a car wheel and pulled around. Her clothes were teared apart, and her eyes seemed more distant than usual. Lighting and Thunder sounded outside the house,as everything was silent. Aya's Mother stood up taking his hands in her's and started to dance with him as she repeated the song over and over again. It felt like hours as they danced across the room,"Mother what's wrong"? She stopped and hugged Aya,"Oh my sweet Aya...I wish we could stay in this dream forever...but we must wake up or everyone will get worried". Aya looked up at his Mother,"What do you mean"? He saw his Mother's eyes and they caused him to shiver. Aya shoved his mother gently away his eyes showing fear,"Mom what's wrong"? She smiled her eyes distant,"Let's go back...just you and me", her hands reached for his neck. Her hands were wrapped around his neck as he was choking,gasping for air,"M-MOM"?! Aya had pushed her away with all the strength he had, once free he sprinted out of the room coughing, his lungs begging for air.

Aya dashed to the front door, reaching for the handle. As he twisted the knob, the door wouldn't open."How?", his eyes grew wide,and he felt like throwing up. "My little Aya, you can't get out. I locked all the doors", she said this as she walked down the stairs. Aya remembered the noise he heard while he was searching for his Mother, so it was her. He banged on the door,"Help"?! She smiled at Aya with loving eyes,"Don't worry Aya...we can go back together...just like old times". She walked toward him with a cutting knife in her hands, Aya saw the knife and continued to bang on the door. He could feel his hands start to throb with pain, yet he didn't stop, he continued to bang at the door yelling for help. "Please! Someone save me"! She smiled happily,"It's okay Aya. I will save you". She raised the knife stabbing Aya in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground blood everywhere. Tears ran down his eyes,as he trembled in terror,"I...do-do..n't...wan...t-t...to...die". She smiled happily at Aya, "It's okay Aya it will only hurt for a moment. Don't worry once you wake up, I'll join you okay"? Aya was losing conciseness he couldn't breath, all he could hear was that haunting lullaby as he faded from reality...

9 years Later Aya lives back with his Father and his Step-Mother. On that night Nao had came over with his Father and saved Aya's and his Mother's live as they were both on the floor bleeding. No one really talks about that night anymore, or what happened, since Aya wouldn't say anything about it.

Aya had just finished dropping Hana,his little sister, off at school. From time to time he checked his watch to make sure he wasn't late. As he came into view of the school Aya sighed softly at himself,"I hope Nao has left the house by now". Aya was worried that Nao would be extremely late, yet again, for school. He bothered Aya very much as he kept thinking maybe he should have just made him come to school.

Aya had woken up before his brother and sister as usual. He had gotten Hana out of bed and dressed for school. He sat her down at the table, and as she ate her breakfast Aya went to wake up Nao. "Nao it's time to wake up", when he entered Nao's room he found both Nao and his room in a frantic frenzy. "What the heck"?

Aya couldn't stand messes, especially when he had just cleaned Nao's room yesterday. It seemed like a good minute until Nao had realized Aya's existence. Nao had froze under Aya's cold and unforgiving stare, "Aya Thank God your here. Help me please"! Aya stared around the room to see Nao's school books were out. Aya shakes his head as he realized what was happening. "You didn't study did you"? Nao seemed to enter a state of despair,"What should I do? Mom and Dad said if I fail this test they would take me off of sports for a whole month". Aya sighed,"I told you I would help you, but you keep saying no to me".

Aya was already walking around Nao's room picking up clothes and books that were scattered across the floor. Aya neatly stacked the papers on Nao's bed, as he put the clothes away. Nao, not noticing Aya's cleaning was ranting on and on about how he was going to fail and that Aya wouldn't understand since he always got good grades on his test. Aya's response to his ranting was a gentle nodding at Nao's stressed out words.

Hana was at the doorway tears filling her eyes,"Aya"? Aya quickly stops cleaning and holds Hana in his arms,"What's the matter Hana"? He stroked her head softly claiming her down, which he did quite often when she would cry. "I-I can't find Mika". Mika was a stuffed rabbit, which Aya's step Mother had given her for her fifth birthday, which was yesterday.

Nao sighed,"Your crying over that little thing? It's probably long gone by now". Nao wasn't the most sensitive guy, he would always argue with Hana. The end result would be Hana crying even more at Nao's remarks. Sure enough Hana started to cry even louder. Aya glared at Nao which quickly shut him up. Hana was crying on Aya's shoulder, Aya was smiling gently at Hana,"Nao are you coming to school, or are you going to be late"? Nao waved him away,"I'm going to be late, so cover for me". Aya sighed and walked out of Nao's room carrying Hana. He smiled lovingly at her,"Don't worry Hana I'll find Mika,but we have to go to school now. So can you wait until after school"? Hana nodded sadly as Aya patted her head. "Good girl, now lets get you to school".

After this memory Aya feels even more loaded with thoughts. He walked into the class room and sat down in an empty chair. Aya quickly pulled out a notebook and began to write down his daily plan. "Okay let's see. I made lunch for both Nao and Hana. I woke both Nao and Hana up. Got Hana dressed and feed. Nao was left at home and will be coming to school late. Took Hana to school, and talked to her teachers about her grades and behavior towards her classmates". It had seemed Hana was having trouble with her classmates, getting into fights or hitting others. Aya sighed and continued,"After school today, I need to go pick up Hana. When getting home I need to find Mika. Then cook dinner for both Hana and Nao. After that Mother and Father should be home so I can leave for work. Than after that I will be able to work without worrying about Nao or Hana...well worrying about Hana. After work is finished I need to get home and study". Aya was mumbling the whole thing making sure not to leave anything out. He nodded in satisfaction at his list. He put his notebook away, and took out his earphones. He popped them in his ears, turning on some music. Laying his head down he closed his eyes as he listened to Keep it Real by One Ok Rock.

Miyako Kiyomizu


The sun was shining brightly this morning, causing Miyako to cover her eyes as she exited the door of the home she shared with her mother and brother. The modest home was not as far from the school as some of her friends, so she could take her time getting to school. Looking at her wristwatch, she could see that it was almost time for her to meet her friend, Haru-chan at the school gates. Despite Haru-chan being her senpai, they made friends quickly and bonded over a mutual love of books and people.

Miyako had Kyudo practice to attend after school that day and was searching her schoolbag to make sure she had what she needed. As she searched, she remembered she had left her mizugake on her desk before leaving. Mentally berating herself, she turned around and rushed back to her home to fetch the forgotten item.

After retrieving it, she ran from the house saying another quick goodbye to her mother and made her way quickly to school. As she rushed, her mind was elsewhere, worrying that she might miss Haru-chan like she had the day before. She was not paying attention to where she was going and in her hurry, she bumped into someone on the street, also heading toward the direction of the school. The stranger was wearing headphones, and had not seemed to notice her. She turned to him, gave a him a small bow and a quick sorry and hurried on her way.

She arrived out of breath at the front gates and glanced around. Students were streaming through the gates, but she saw no sign of Haru-chan. She glanced at her watch again, thinking she might have been late after all, but saw that she was just on time. The school bells wouldn't ring for at least another ten minutes so she Miyako decided to wait for her friend.








Katsuyo Naganishi


Katsuyo sighed as he left the last train stop. He hated using public transportation. It just felt so unclean to him and he was glad to be rid of it, at least until this afternoon where he would be using it to go home. He lived pretty far from Yousaka, but they had a pretty nice academic record and he liked that about it. The train left the station with a Whoosh! and Katsuyo climbed the subway stairs in a bit of rush. He wasn't going to be late, he was never late.

It didn't take him very long to reach the school and he was early as usual. After slipping on his uwabaki, he went in search of his friends. No doubt Hiro, at least, would be here trying to catch a peep at the girls changing. He smirked at the thought of Hiro getting caught again. It was funniest if his sister caught him in the act because she scolded him.

As he climbed the stairs her could hear the sounds of bickering and he again smirked. He looked up, and just as he expected, Hiro was being chewed out by Mira. "Caught again?" Katsuyo said brightly to him. "You should find some better peeping places." He gave Mira a nod and a smile. He was familiar with her, but not too familiar and he didn't feel like angering her just yet. As they were speaking, a guy about his age bumped into Hiro and mumbled sorry. This guy was obviously a foreigner and Katsuyo recognized him as the guy he saw getting beat up a lot in the mornings. Katsuyo never stopped it, always thinking what good what it do for him to get beat up too? Mira took a motherly approach with the stranger like she did with everyone else.

Katsuyo snapped his fingers in further recognition. "Oh, hey, you're that guy from my class. Ike-san right?" He didn't really care if this guy remembered who he was, but he was trying to appear "friendly" in front of Mira.
