“Blood stained the battlefield, as warriors tore each other apart. Metal clashed against metal as the warring tyrants fought. Only the screams of the doomed could be heard upon the battlefield that would forever be remembered by those who participated so long ago. After all was said and done, each faction departed, for they had wounded each other far too severely to keep going.”

Darkness shrouded the senses of a lone figure as it sat atop the tallest building in the city. It had been ages since he had last seen his fellow warriors, and the fact that those who were immortal like him were cast into a deep slumber, did not lift his spirits. Things had gone downhill since the last war. The Nobility had gained control over the government and now controlled those who were too weak minded to care. Life for a human was like that of cattle. One only knew when they’d be killed in the shadows of the night. Silence surrounded the individual as he continued to sit atop the tallest building, with his eyes closed. It was night, the time when the creatures came and feasted upon those who were too weak to defend themselves. Even those who were able to defend themselves eventually met their end. Something had to be done. The teachings of a Mystic had been forgotten. The lone warrior would see to it that the Mystics would rise up once again and take back the land from the creatures of the night.

The figure stood to his feet as he opened his eyes. The cities on planet Earth were advanced far beyond human perception. Only a single person ruled over all the land. He was called the president, and this particular president was the cause of such grief and sorrow. He was the leader of the Nobility. The Nobility is a group of vampires, werewolves, witches and demon who have taken over the government of the world secretly. They used their science combined with magic to restore the world in their image from its former state. Nearly all demons, werewolves, witches, and other dark creatures serve them freely. Despite their technology being great enough to create a blood substitute as food, they still prefer to feed on humans. They search for the destruction of the human race. The government is completely enslaved to the dark ones, yet no hero can be found. Tonight was no different. The figure watched as a pair of vampires chased a helpless human through the streets of the city. The lone figure flipped off the roof of the building and, while in mid fall, yelled a combination of words that caused his body to glow brightly.

“Ancient Mystic Power!”

The black haired man had been replaced by a blonde man dressed in all white. He landed on his feet atop an adjacent building far shorter than the one he had perched on earlier. Screams filled the air as the vampires closed in on their target. The woman fell to the ground and begged and pleaded for the creatures not to consume her, but they simply stared at her with hunger filled eyes. Stepping closer to the woman, she let out another scream.

“Scream all you want, no one will help you,” one of the vampires stated.

Both began to descend upon the helpless woman. Suddenly, they stopped in their tracks. They each stared at the man dressed in white who had magically appeared behind the woman.

“Find shelter, quickly,” the man stated as he glared at the vampires.

The woman scrambled to her feet and thanked the man before running off. He glared at the vampires and stood perfectly still. The vampires were eager to remove this slight hindrance from existence, but what they would soon find out was that this particular hindrance was more than met the eye. They dashed forward, intent on killing the man. Striking at the man, they both missed; however, when the man dressed in white extended his right hand, the vampires snarled. A odd colored orb began to form in the center of the man’s extended palm.

“What’s that? Some sort of trick?” one of the vampires asked as the other dashed forward.

“I’ll get rid of him, he’s nothing but a want to be hero.” The other stated as he closed the gap between he and the man.

The orb launched, crashing into the charging vampire, sending it spiraling backwards; landing beside its fellow blood sucker. The man in white smirked and aimed at the other vampire who at this point was sweating and snarling viciously. It used its inhuman speed to dash forth and closes the gap between them quickly. It launched a barrage of feet and claws at the man, barely missing the man’s face as he flipped back to avoid the onslaught By now the other vampire had stumbled to his feet and was snarling as well.

“KILL HIM!” it yelled causing the attacking vampire to charge.

In a flash of light, the man dressed in white was now facing away from the vampires, standing behind them. Each turned slowly, but as they turned, their bodies slowly separated. Blood and guts spilled out onto the street beneath them and their bodies burst into flames. The man in white sighed and transformed back into his previous form. He left a note for the Nobility to find. It read,

“Hmmm,"

You thought the Mystics gone, but now we have returned. Your reign has come to an end. I, Naja, will see to it personally that you fall, along with the rest of the Nobility.”

The man soon vanished, leaving behind the burned remains, as well as the note.

DoriĂĄn & Kurama

An alarm rang in the dorm room as two figures shifted in their beds. One eventually removed the comforter from his body and slammed his fist against the alarm clock, nearly breaking it in half. He glared over at his roommate and sighed.

“Kurama, get up, we have class in like ten minutes.”

Kurama sat up in his bed and sighed. He really didn’t care about the single class they had opted to take at night. He looked at Dorián and cursed under his breath.

“Christ sake Dorián, you could’ve went without me, I’m tired.”

“Maybe if you’d stop spending all your time flirting and shit, we wouldn’t have this problem,” Dorián replied as he stood to his feet.

Being away from Naja meant that he didn’t have to constantly train for reasons he knew nothing about. He was happy that Naja allowed him to go to college in the city; however, he was very clear about making friends.

“Tell them nothing of what you do, understand Dorián?”

He recalled the conversation they had, and Naja’s final words before Dorián departed the base. He had no clue why he couldn’t speak on his training. He had been away from the base for about a year now and loved every minute of it, still he missed Naja. After all, he was only learning martial arts, something everybody wanted to know about, or at least he thought. He walked into the bathroom and got dressed for the class they had in ten minutes. Kurama had also made it to his feet and was searching through his dresser for something to wear.

He had just taken off his shirt when a knock came at the door. Kurama glared into the bathroom at DoriĂĄn who simply shrugged. Kurama stepped up to the door and opened it slightly to peer out and see who it was.

Kurama & DoriĂĄn

Kurama peaked from behind the chained door and sighed when he realized who it was.

“Dorián, it’s your boyfriend,” he called as he removed the chain lock and opened the door. He didn’t bother talking to Dorián’s boyfriend because he did not get along with him. Kurama walked over to his bed and started fumbling through his dresser drawers.

DoriĂĄn walked out of the bathroom with no shirt and smiled as he embraced his boyfriend and kissed him lovingly.

“Hey Anthony, what are you doing here?” Dorián asked as he released Anthony from the hug and stepped back to look into Anthony’s eyes.

Anthony smiled, having just received a kiss and an embrace from his lover. He moved a strand of Dorián’s hair from out of the male’s face before speaking.

“Just thought I’d come by and see you.”

“Well you’ve seen him, now you can leave,” Kurama stated never turning to actually acknowledge Anthony, but rather keeping his back to the male while plundering through his drawers.

Anthony rolled his eyes and was about to say something when DoriĂĄn stepped in.

“Can ya’ll please NOT start today? Just once can you coexist in the same room together?”

Kurama turned and looked at Dorián before returning back to his plundering. Dorián took this as his way of saying “yea” without saying it. Anthony kissed Dorián on the cheek.

“I’ll check on you’s later babe,” Anthony stated as he stepped back and turned to leave. When he got to the door, he looked at Kurama, “see ya man.”

Kurama looked up and nodded, but said nothing. Anthony shook his head, looked at DoriĂĄn one final time before departing.

“Kurama!” Dorián began as he looked at his best friend.

“What? You know I don’t like him, and he knows I don’t like him, so why would he put himself in these situations?”

“Kurama, you know he’s my boyfriend and you’re my best friend. Can we find some type of common ground? Have you even tried to get along with him?”

“Do you even remember what he did to you? Dorián he cheated on you, and the last thing I need is to see him come in here like nothing ever happened.”

“Yes I remember Kurama and I don’t need to be reminded of it every time you want to make a valid point. I forgave him, why can’t you?”

“Fine, I will tolerate him, but only because you asked me to. Now come on, we have a class to get to and we are running late.”

DoriĂĄn smiled and hugged Kurama before jumping in the shower. They both got ready in less than twenty minutes, but they were still late for their class. They raced down the halls of the dormitory, heading toward the classroom building. Neither of them knew what lied ahead, their lives were about to take a turn down a detour that would prove to be life changing.

Naja

Humming quietly to himself, Naja hovered over the training area of the Amazonian base. This would be the training home for the mystics he’d gather soon. He sighed wondering about his chances at success. Not many people would believe a strange man if he came up to them and informed them that they were to save their world from the evil tyrant. Smirking, Naja stood to his feet and produced pictures out of thin air. Each picture had a name and information scribed onto the back of it. Each picture was a picture of one of the mystics. As they floated in front of him, one selected itself to approach Naja first.

Naja’s eyes opened and he grabbed the picture, reading the information out loud.

“Syeira Eason

.last seen in Romania. She works at a tavern. This should be interesting. If I don’t get a middle finger, I’ll probably get cursed out,” Naja said before the other photos vanished and he folded the one he held placing it within his garments.

Standing to his feet, Naja snapped his fingers and in an instant, he had vanished.

As Syeira waited on drunken men and perverts, Naja appeared suddenly yet subtly at the bar. When she looked up, she noticed him, and it looked as if he shimmered slightly. He smiled his charming smile and was approached by one of the other girls.

“What can I get you to drink?” she asked.

“A cup of water please,” Naja replied causing the girl to look at him oddly.

“I’ll handle it.” Syeira told the other girl as she walked over to the new customer. He was someone she hadn’t seen before. She knew pretty much everyone in the tavern. It was hard not to given the circumstances. But asking for water? Was he insane? Probably. It did tend to happen now days probably more than usual.

“Sir, what the look meant, is that people don’t come here to order apă. If you want it, it costs more, but I can get it.” Water wasn’t something taken lightly. Where they were located it was hard to get fresh water. They didn’t live close to a big city and most of the jobs were still farming. The tavern was one of the only big businesses around. The owner sent Casamir into the city once a week to get more supplies. He came back with a wagon full. Horses were still the main form of transportation too.

Sye shook her head. Something about him, other than asking for water, was odd. There was just something she couldn’t put her finger on about how he was different. Finding out wasn’t something she really thought about doing though. Finding out things that were better left alone got people killed. She had seen that first hand.

“So if you want water keep it down. If not, is there something else I can get you?”

Naja

The ageless man looked up at the young girl who approached him. She was quite the fiery female and her comment about the water he had asked for made him smile. Money was something he worried not about. His immortality had allowed him to gather vast wealth, and thus when he retrieved the roll of hundreds from his pocket; he removed one and placed it into the hand of Syeira.

“Syeira Eason, it is good to finally meet you,” Naja began, “do not speak, but rather listen. I am Naja, and you, my dear, are something far more than a simple human.”

Naja raised his hand slightly to keep Syeira from speaking before he continued.

“You’ve been searching for someone am I right? Someone who is close to you, and by the looks of it
” Naja glanced over at Casamir slightly, but not too much so as to give anything away, “that person is closer to you than you think. My dear, you’re probably wondering why I have come here.”

Suddenly, everything in the room stopped. Everyone’s movements ceased and it seemed that only Syeira and Naja moved.

“You’ve heard of vampires and werewolves and the like no? Well, imagine having the power to put a stop to that which threatens our world. You have that power within you Syeira. You are part witch. Please hear me out! You are what is known as a mystic, a being capable of accessing dormant power within them to transform and fight against or with evil. Your powers lie dormant within you, and to activate them, I need only touch you. If you want to know more, here is my card.”

Naja placed a card on the table, and inscribed on it was an incantation that read “Solvia Lumus Verde.”

“Just speak the words on the card and I’ll be there.”

The spell would transport Syeira to Naja’s location, if and only if she was serious and wanted to know more.

“You think you’ve seen all this world has to offer Syeira? You are quite mistaken. To a Mystic, anything is possible; you just simply have to believe.”

Naja had closed his hand, but when he opened it, a pink orb floated out of it and sparkled with energy.

“To us, there is nothing we can’t do, but it takes training and dedication. A great evil has risen Syeira, in fact the one you tussled with verbally earlier was one of them. He was a werewolf, a creature dark and sinister that feasts on the flesh of the living. Remember my words Syeira and be careful, for not all is as it seems. Speak to no one about this Syeira, unless you wish to lose your life by those who hide in the dark shadows. Speak this to NO ONE!”

There was a flash of light and Naja was gone, leaving behind the 100 dollar bill and the card. Everything returned to normal, and everyone was moving again. Syeira was left with much to contemplate. Still, Naja’s work was not done; he had to find the others. He sat atop the tavern and once again the photos appeared in front of him. Chen YanYu. Naja stood to his feet and once again was off to find this particular individual. When Naja arrived at the dragon den, he smiled feeling the presence of the dormant mystic magic.

"She's here," he said softly as he approached the very large estate. Guards instantly approached him.

"What business do you have here sir?" They asked holding their weapons tightly.

"I am here on official MYSTIC business. Be ye steady and allow me entry," Naja spoke, his voice full of power.

The guards looked at one another and nodded.

"Lies, the mystics are no more, they all vanished and live no more," one of the guards stated glaring at Naja.

"You are mistaken, and I'd hate to see your punishment when your leader hears about this, now LET ME PASS!"

Naja glared back at the guard, his form shifting in an flash of energy. The guard's eyes widened as they instantly backed away and made room for Naja to pass. Naja smirked and nodded before entering into the estate.

"My liege, someone approaches with business of a forgotten kind," one of the servants stated as they knelt before the leader of this particular dragon den. Naja approached the main house. It was there that he felt the pull of the mystic magic. When Naja entered into the building, he stood in front of the leader.

"I am here to speak with your daughter, Chen YanYu," Naja stated with authority.

YanYu was in the midst of returning to her room when the same head servant, seeming very upset, walked up to her. It was not ladylike nor admirable to stomp around the household, but she was sure that if she could, the head servant would have stomped right up to her.

"Young mistress your father calls for your presence." She said sternly.

The young dragon stared at the servant strangely. Her father had called for her? The only times her father had even called for her was to either reprimand her, lecture her, or train her. She wished it was for training, but he only did so once in a blue moon. Favoring her brothers, her own training was left to other instructors.

"For informing me, xie xie." Thank you. YanYu replied.

Resisting the urge to bolt towards the main room, she took a breath and straightened her poise as she walked. If she left any room for criticism, her father would definitely never miss the chance to degrade his own daughter. When she reached the room that hosted her father and his guards, she bowed in respect before straightening herself up to speak.

"I have arrived, father." She greeted without emotion.

Strange, there was a man there who was not one of them. He was from the outside. What business did he have with the dragons? Her father motioned for her to come closer, and she obeyed, standing next to him. He whispered, but she could sense his anger.

"I have warned him to leave, but he seems rather intent on meeting you. He claims to be one of the Mystic. I do sense old magick from this one, but even I have not seen a Mystic in many years."

YanYu nodded, understanding that her father did not trust this man and wanted him out of the house as soon as possible. She herself did not believe he was one of the Mystics. Dragons had a long lifespan and if her father was skeptical, then all the more reason for her to not trust the man as well. She made her way over to the man, her hands folded out in front of her and stopped a short distance away.

"What business do you have with me?" She asked the man.

Naja watched the young female appear. It was her, the water mystic. He could sense the mystic magic within her and simply smiled when she stood beside her father. Sometimes he wished he wasn’t a telepath, as the minds of others became an open book for him to read. Sighing, Naja stood there listening to the whispering, hearing every thought. The doubt they had that he was a mystic only made him smile, as he would soon prove them wrong. Naja watched as the girl approached him slowly. She spoke, asking what business he had with her to which Naja simply smiled.

“Yes, I can feel it within you. You are the Water Mystic. I am Naja, Psychic Mystic and Archmage of Nervesa. I was cursed with immortality to make sure that the Earth never fell into evil hands. Now that evil once again seeks to destroy this world, I must awaken the mystic magic within you in hopes that you will join my cause and put a stop to it. This would mean leaving your home, training and never looking back. I know it is a lot to take in, but it will be worth it. I understand your father’s doubt, for even you have it.”

Naja stopped and looked up at Chen’s father before transforming slowly into his mystic form. Only mystics could do this, for there was no duplication. No other could access this type of power and that is why mystics were essential saviors of realms. Naja looked at the shocked look on most of the palace hands before nodding.

“Not all of the mystics are dead, in fact your daughter is one,” Naja spoke telepathically to Chen’s father before lowering his eyes to meet Chen’s, speaking telepathically to her as well, “I will give you time to think about this. Here is my card. Just read the inscription if you ever need to see me.”

Naja handed Chen the same card he had handed Syeira before nodding and snapping his fingers. Instantly he had vanished, leaving Chen and her parents with much to think about.

He sat atop a tall mountain range, and once again he pulled a photo. This time it was a tom boyish looking female. Naja smirked, “Alleyson Rosewright!”

There was a spark of energy and Naja was off again to find this Alleyson individual. Appearing near a skater park, Naja walked out from his place of arrival and leaned against the wall, watching Alleyson show off her skater skill. He smiled, knowing the girl hadn’t even seen him arrive. When the one keeping time informed her of the time she had made, he watched her reaction as well as the reaction of the others. He said nothing, merely watching and observing how this girl acted.

Alleyson just stood there, watching her opponent's run with genuine interest as he pulled off one trick after another. He wasn't half bad, actually. Allie even found herself to be quite impressed with some of the stunts that were pulled. Still not nearly as talented as her though, that was something her ego wouldn't allow her to acknowledge.

Her opponent was nearly at the end of his run, having arrived at the stairs, he too jumped on the wall. But instead of simply kicking his board over to the railing, his brain probably had some sort of malfunction and the boy ended up spinning a 360-degrees during the jump from wall to railing, something that was not recommended.

Again, Allie got to witness a fall, the boy's board hitting the railing with one of his wheels and bounced off the steel pipe, flailing as his board rolled from underneath his feet and the boy was sent rocketing upwards into the sky, arms flailing to reach for something to hold onto.

In a matter of seconds, his butt landed onto the final stair, his body managing one final bounce onto the concrete floor before coming to a halt. That expression was priceless, if only she could've taken a picture, although the image was practically printed into her brain with a gleeful smile.

Well, that was the end if it. She won, although it wasn't the victory she had hoped for, this was a little too easy for Allie's liking. It wasn't less amusing though, that was for certain.

Clapping her hands together with a smile that practically told how much fun she had, Alleyson turned to the rest of the kiddie-group, pointing to their fallen comrade with her left hand. “Go get your friend and get out. Tell him... Tell him we should have a re-match sometime soon.” A genuine comment, and not just out of sheer entertainment for Allie's sake. Wouldn't he have been so cocky, the kid might've won...

Watching the burger kids club run off, Allie nudged her friend, nodding with her head in the direction of a rather... Well, curious fellow. “Hey Mikey, who'sat?”

“I'unno. Skater, perhaps?”

Allie shook her head, her emerald-green eyes narrowing as they observed the mysterious man, muttering something along the lines of 'Idiot' in Mikey's direction. Was he... Was he watching them both? At this point, the woman began to be a bit cautious. He sure as hell didn't look like one, but who knows what those 'chimps' could pull off. Only one way to find out...

Lifting her hat, Allie ran a hand through her purple-dyed hair, sighing as she adjusted her head-wear to the left, placing her hands on her hips before taking a few steps forward. “What are you looking at? You their father or something?” The woman shrugged in a flamboyant, agitated manner. Her head slightly cocked to the side, her eyes now getting a better view of said man.

Naja

His face was void of expression as he watched the young male crash land after attempting a 360 degree spin. Naja would’ve saved the young lad if it had not been for the thoughts he heard afterwards. The young man truly had a mouth on him, but his attention quickly returned to Alleyson who had noticed him and was soon approaching him. When she began speaking, Naja simply looked at her, a soft smile on his face.

“I am Naja, elder Mystic and Archmage of Nervesa. I am here on official business. What I am about to tell you will freak you out more than me speaking to you telepathically. Within you is what the elder council calls mystic magic. You are not given this magic, it is threaded into your DNA and you are born with it. Now bear with me Alleyson Rosewright, for your decision will reflect the fate of this world. An evil has emerged and seeks to lay claim to this realm. If we do not stop this threat, all hope is lost. If you want to know more, here is my card. Read the inscription on it if you ever need to speak to me.”

Naja’s lips had not moved, for he had spoken to Alleyson using telepathy. He smiled and nodded and in a flash he was gone.

Appearing on a tall building in Montreal, Canada, Naja sat with his eyes closed. He hoped the three he had visited so far would understand the threat and read the inscription on the cards. Sighing, he once again plucked a photograph of a female. This group was full of females, but Naja did not complain, he simply stood up.

“Talia Merda Lena

..a siren born,” Naja stated as he rubbed his hand across the picture.

Light covered Naja’s form and when it subsided, Naja was gone. When he appeared, he witnessed the vampire’s demise at the hands of Talia. She was a strong willed girl and Naja simply walked up to the girl.

“Are you alright? I see you’ve met one of those that linger in the shadows. A vampire, one of Suyag’s minions no doubt. Greetings, I am Naja, elder Mystic and Archmage of Nervesa. I am here seeking your help. The being you just killed is working for a higher evil. You possess something that will assist in stopping them, and making the world safe once more,” Naja said softly before reaching out and touching the girl softly on the shoulder.

Magic filtered into the girl’s body, healing her aches and pains. When Naja removed his hand, the magic stopped. He reached into his pocket and gave Talia the same card he had given the other three.

“Simply read the inscription if you ever need to talk to me. Think about what I’ve said. It is a big decision, one that you can’t walk away from. Be careful Talia, for as you have witnessed, not all is as it seems.”

“Wha-what?” Those were practically the words that described Alleyson's confusion. Some say she just freaked out, but it wasn't that. Sure, telepathic voices weren't a daily occurrence in the life of the skater-girl, but she wasn't... Startled by it at all.

In fact, it did away with the option of branding herself mad. Although her real thoughts were something along the lines of 'The fuck?!', which soon changed to 'Ooh! Hot voice! Hot voice!'. And hey, the man wasn't bad looking either.

Wait, what was she thinking? Here is a strange man, possibly a stalker, talking with her through telepathy. Yep, she was going mad al right!

Whether Allie heard Naja's words entirely was a question only time could answer. Actually, the woman seemed more occupied with checking out mister handsome, rather than listening to him. Although her emerald-green eyes were instantly focused back to the man's face as he spoke of her name. “Sorry, what?” She muttered, scratching the back of her head in confusion.

The last words after that did very little to ease Alleyson's confusion, it only raised more questions than it answered. Glancing briefly over the card, which was inscribed with random gibberish, the skater-girl looked back up, only to see that Naja had vanished without allowing her to squeeze in one tiny question. All she could do was stare into blank space, slowly comprehending what she had been told. Or... Was it really just her imagination. Nay, the card in her hand told her this was reality, and not some sick twisted comatose from having bumped her head against something hard while boarding.

“Al. Allie! Hey, babe, you okay there? Helloooo!”

“H-huh, what?” The flash of Mikey's hand waving across her face caused Alleyson to blink for a second, before she realised that she had spaced out. “Sorry, I must've fallen into a deep thought...” The woman laughed nervously, rubbing the back of her neck with her left hand.

“And you say I act like a stoner. Anyway, what did that guy want?” He asked his friend, pushing his sunglasses back on his nose.

“Oh, nothing much. Just a foreigner who was lost.” An obvious lie, but Allie did not want to concern others with something she hadn't quite figured out herself. “Mikey, I think I'm going to head back home, it is getting late.”

“Want me to walk with you?”

“Naah, I'm good. I'll talk to you later, sweetie.” With a playful wink, Allie left her friend behind on the skater-park, slowly strolling back to her apartment. She tried to get that weird moment out of her head, but something told her to ponder over it some more.

Suyag and his royal guard had been sprinting toward what was the next town on the map. Russia was different from the last time that he had been there. More technological. Less oppresive. The town would serve as a decent hiding place from the sun as well as provide an aircraft for transport. He needed to claim him throne in the holy city as soom as possible so he could call forth his armies. Every clan of vampires to make a Legion. One Legion was easily worth a theatre of human soldiers. Nine Legions in all would be called forward. It was time to create another bloodbath like that of the 1940's. He had no idea how many human servants that his kin now controlled but it had to be in the millions.

He came to the town where most of the population had gone inside for the night. A few still dwelled outside. He lifted his claw in the air and screeched an long since forgotten language in the air. The Crusniks began to pillage the town. There was only one rule that they knew of. Take no prisoners. Drunkers and civilians in buildings were being ripped apart by the Crusnik, making it a massacre. Suyag veered off in a different derection. He caught a scent of something different...magic. He belowed his bloodlust roar from the top of his lungs and began to sprint in the general direction of the scent, killing all that stood in his way.

After making sure Talia was alright, Naja vanished from sight, off to find the next mystic on his list. The remaining photos appeared before Naja and he picked another female. This one was interesting to Naja. It may have been her elven side, but Naja was determined to get them all together to help stop the evil that was ever present in the world. Naja folded the picture and the remaining vanished.

“Scarlet LagorĂșthel, it seems today is your day my dear.”

Naja vanished again. This time he appeared a few feet away from Scarlet and her father. When she started sparing against her father, Naja smiled. This girl had spunk and that was hard to find. He watched until she started hitting the punching bag. When the girl caused the bag to unravel and break loose from its chain restraints, Naja stepped forward.

“Be careful my dear. Allow me.”

Naja waved his hand and the bag lifted and reset itself. The metal twisted and contorted until it was set the way it was before. Naja nodded and began to speak.

“You may wonder who I am, or rather how I found you, but none of that is important. What is important is that a young elf like yourself should be putting her gifts to good use. I am Naja, elder Mystic and Archmage of Nervesa. I was sent to find and awaken the new mystics, and guess what? You are one of them. I can’t say much here, but I do want you to know that a great evil has awakened and is soon to devour this world if we do not stop it. I cannot do it alone, but this decision will require some thought. I want you to know that by accepting this responsibility, there is NO turning back.”

Naja stopped and produced yet another card with the same inscription on it.

“When you want to talk, read the inscription and I will be there. Be safe Scarlet my dear, and may the power of elven magic protect you.”

Naja turned and vanished in mid stride, leaving Scarlet with something to think about.

Bewlidered beyond anything she could imagine, where did he come from? she backed up a bit as naja raised his hand.

"Wait.. what are you?" she said doubling over as the magic and entered her being making her groan loudly, verbally but it didnt really hurt. if felt good actually.. it was fear making her shout. Tali laid on her back as her powerful sound based powers came alive, she stood up taking the card she was given and looked at it a little.

"what?" she said closing her mouth realizing he was gone. she looked into the card some more seeing a name. Naja, she squished her face wondering who he was.

"what did he do to me?" she said sighing lightly feeling a sneeze coming along "ah-coo!" she said proucing a sneeze with a massive sound wave which traveled down the area some slamming into a nearby house with a solid thunk. looking up tali said nothing only thinking that she now had a weapon, much like her parents. a creepy smile formed on her face. "yes! thank you whoever you are!!" Tali peered up to the sky and postioned her mouth and shouted as hard as she could, which turned in a scream and then a high note and then the sound shot out loudly almost like a signal, visable clear sound wave in the shape of a funnel.

Tali was growing confident with her powers and decided to try a bit hard BOOM when the sound has she hit supersonic but in the process she was flung back and slammed into, yes another house. she could only curse in russian..

"Be careful my dear. Allow me." At the sound of the unfamiliar voice, Scarlet automatically lowered herself into her offensive form, but hesitated when she saw a rather kind looking man, waving his hand rather peculiarly. Hearing the sound of the chains clanging against each other once again, she whipped around and found the bag levitate and arrange itself back to it's original position. H-how-? She turned back to the man to find his attention now fully on her. He explained everything, as to who he was to what she was.

Afterwards she simply stared at him with a blank expression, still trying to process what he just explained to her. Mystics? I thought they were only a legend, and now this man is here telling me I'm one of them? If the man hadn't just blatantly revealed he knew who she was and what she was-not to mention the entire magical levitation of the punching bag-she would've just laughed and told him to get the hell out of her parents' house, but right now she was too overwhelmed by what was just unloaded onto her.

“When you want to talk, read the inscription and I will be there. Be safe Scarlet my dear, and may the power of elven magic protect you.”

Scarlet took the card subconsciously and opened to her mouth to ask at least one of her millions of questions but before she could choke a word out, he disappeared into the thin air.

The sound of solid ice clanking against the sides of a plastic pitcher drew her attention as her father returned with a container filled with lemonade; the same proud, fatherly smile on his face. "I made us a pitcher of lemonade, your Mother went out with Rosa to get groceries." Noticing his daughter's confused expression, he placed a hand on her head and bent his neck slightly to make eye contact with said brunette. "Is something the matter, Scarlet?" His voice laced with concern made the young elven female come out of her reverie.

"Oh, it's nothing..." She lied between her teeth, and she knew just by the glint that flashed across his eyes for a millisecond that he didn't believe her one bit. "Actually... I may have to leave for a little while." She added, a little quieter than usual.

"Leave? What fo-?" The pure elven male cut himself off as he saw a towering yet rather lean, man stride over to them. Scarlet strained her neck to look up at him, she herself barely even up to his chest.

"Greetings. My name is Daimion, and I was hoping that one of you would tell me where I might find one named," He glanced down at a piece of paper in his hand, "Scarlet LagorĂșthel?" Any other day she would've found interest in a man with a rather charming voice, but something about his presence made her... Simply uncomfortable. Maybe it was the way he was speaking like he already knew the answer.

"That's me." She answered, crossing her arms casually, but had her guard up no less. There's something about him that just doesn't seem... Normal. Either she was just being paranoid with every strange thing that's happened to her today, or the fact that she's rarely ever seen a man of this man's build in Venice.

Naja stood in front of Dorián’s school, holding the picture of Kurama and Dorián. He sighed, not wanting to have to divulge this information to Dorián, a young man he considered his child. The truth was that Dorián’s mother was killed and Dorián’s father contacted Naja to look over his son. Agreeing, Naja took the little child in and raised him in many martial arts, prepping the boy to one day fulfill his destiny. This Kurama fellow Naja had met once before and appreciated how much the young man cared for his “son”. Kurama was indeed a friend to Dorián and thus the only reason Naja had agreed to allow Dorián to go to this college.

Sighing, Naja closed his eyes and chanted. He could feel the discord within the world. He could sense the darkness, and with a quick snatch of his hands, the imps that were following him were constricted by an invisible force. Naja glared at them before destroying all but one. This one would be his messenger.

“You go and tell your master that he will NOT succeed. The Mystics will rise once more, and we will put a stop to Lord Manacia.”

The imp flew off in a hurry, fearing for its life to deliver the message to Daimion.

Naja looked up, making sure no one had saw what had just happened. He entered quietly into the school.

DoriĂĄn and Kurama sat in the class listening to the teacher talk about boring economics. As if on cue, the man switched into discussing his personal life, nearly putting everyone to sleep. Finally, after an agonizing hour of listening to the man, the instructor released the class, reminding them about their homework assignments and the test they had coming up next Friday.

“Mr. Fulcher, what will the test consist of?” one of the students who got on everyone’s nerves asked with a smug smile.

“Chapters one through five, and a study guide is online for your viewing pleasure,” Mr. Fulcher replied as he took all of the homework from the previous night, “any more questions?”

There was silence and that was when Mr. Fulcher allowed them to leave. As Kurama and Dorián made their way to their dorm, Kurama’s girlfriend approached smiling as she kissed her lover and hugged Dorián.

“Wassup Samantha?” Dorián stated as he released her from the hug.

“Nothing much. Where are you two headed?” Samantha asked as she walked with Dorián and Kurama, Kurama’s arm wrapped around Samantha’s waist.

“To the dorm, why? What did you have in mind babe?” Kurama asked with a smirk.

“Nothing, I got one more class and then I’m out for the night. I hadn’t seen you all day and just thought I’d see what you were up to,” Samantha stated, “but I would love if you came over tonight. Popcorn and a movie?”

“Sounds good babe,” Kurama replied, as he released Samantha from his hold and watched her walk away.

“You two seem in love,” Dorián stated with a smirk, teasing Kurama.

“Dude, come on, let’s get back to this room, I’m starving.”

It didn’t take them long to get to the dorm, but as Dorián neared the room, he could feel a familiar presence. He looked up at Kurama and held out his hand. Opening the door slowly, Dorián peered in and saw a figure standing in the middle of the room. Turning around Naja faced Dorián with a soft smile.

“I’ve missed you my son,” Naja stated as he watched the young man rush over to him and hug him tightly.

“I’ve missed you too dad, but what are you doing here?” Dorián asked releasing Naja from the hug. Kurama smiled and walked in closing the door behind him.

“I’m afraid what I’m about to tell you will change your lives forever.” Naja stated with a saddened look.

“Wait, lives? As if more than one? You’re not talking about me are you?” Kurama asked with an awkward expression.

“I’m afraid so Kurama Sakura. Please, sit down and listen.”

Naja began to weave the tale, informing both Dorián and Kurama of what was, and what could be. He explained to them the mystic magic that dwelled within each of them, and told them how they’d have to train to master it. He informed them that he didn’t want to awaken any of them, instead doing it on his own, but the higher council voted against it, and that was his reason for doing this. He explained everything to them, and after he finished speaking he looked at them both.

“I know it is a lot to take in, and I will not force you into anything. Here take these. If you accept, simply read the inscription and you’ll be teleported to me. I’m sorry I kept this from you Dorián, but I had no choice, I was bound by oath to keep the secret until I was ordered to find you all.”

Kurama took the card and DoriĂĄn took his, but DoriĂĄn stood up.

“Dad, I know you wouldn’t ask if it weren’t serious. You have my word that I will do all it takes to make sure this world is safe. Count me in.”

Kurama looked at DoriĂĄn rather shocked.

“What about Anthony? Are you just going to leave him without telling him something?” Kurama questioned as he sighed and turned his head. He didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to leave Samantha in the dark, and he didn’t want to let Dorián do this on his own. He had to accept his responsibility, but he didn’t know if it WAS his responsibility. He was conflicted, but he knew what was best.

DoriĂĄn looked at Kurama and then Naja.

“You must do what is right, but I will not hold anything against either of you,” Naja stated, “I understand it is a burden to bear, but if you wish, I will allow you to tell only one person. Make sure that person is trustworthy.”

Kurama looked up at Naja.

“When will our training begin?”

“When you decide what is best Kurama. I must be going, I have one more to visit before I take refuge at the base. Dorián, Kurama, I believe in both of you. Look into yourselves and do what is best.”

With that said, Naja vanished leaving DoriĂĄn and Kurama with much to think about.

DoriĂĄn sighed and looked at Kurama.

“What do you think?”

“I don’t know!”

Naja sat atop the college looking at the photograph of Casamir. He sighed, knowing that others were after the mystics as well. He just hoped they realized how much they were needed.

“I need to visit the high council,” Naja stated as he stood up and vanished, heading to locate Casamir, who he remembered was with Syeira.

"Ah, forgive my intrusion upon your dwelling, good elf," Her pale blue orbs followed his every movement with precise cautiousness. Scarlet simply watched as the man, Daimion as he is called, bowed to her father before explaining what he was. She, herself, has started to grow weary of the sudden interruptions of her day and to add it all, they both seem to know what she was and they aren't completely human either. A reflex rattled her body, almost launching herself at the man, when he approached her father and whispered something into his ear. She watched with slight irritation as a package was forced into his hands before Daimion turned back to her with a friendly disposition. He cheerfully said he'd hope we accept his house gift before scratching his chin with what looked awfully like a claw. He added to open the package before it disappears. My father looked the way she felt earlier with Naja, overwhelmed yet guarded. Glancing from Daimon to Scarlet, he gave her a look that screamed, "be careful", before turning away and into the house.

She turned his attention back to the towering figure in front of her. He apologized and explained that he simply wanted to reassure my father that I was safe with him. You didn't do a very good job with that. He further explained that he was half a Daemon and part Fae.

"Unfortunately," She snapped her eyes back up to his face as he uttered the word, "we cannot discuss this here." His voice roughened and sounded rather harsh as he held a hand up. Narrowing her eyes, she felt as though she should protect herself, knowing well enough that anything could happen with a simple wave of a hand, like with Naja earlier. Their surroundings glistened before they were standing in the middle of an empty lot surrounded by what looked like a forest. Looking around slightly, she whipped back to him as he snapped his fingers. Four figures appeared, they seemed to be made of rock and were carrying platters of food and drinks.

"Please," His voice grew soft again, a complete contrast as to how he sounded just a moment earlier. He waved his hand again, this time a couch appeared out of thin air and planted itself behind her as he conjured up a wicker chair for himself. He urged me to enjoy the refreshments while they talked. Scarlet simply watched as he drank and ate, kindly refusing the elementals' offers with a small smile and a shake of her head.

Daimion started to explain everything. He says Naja is a murderer of children and his people. He then explained his people as the Nobles and that Naja himself was hunting them. Scarlet found this a smidgen hard to believe. Naja explained to her that she was a Mystic, could that have been a lie too? Maybe she could ask this man, Naja never told her that she couldn't tell anyone, but she could gather up that he didn't want this publicly announced either. She almost jumped as he summoned his abilities from his fingertips. Several bubbles rose up from underneath them and showed explicit pictures of a bloody battle that he told her were the old Mystics. When those disappeared they were replaced by more images of parents killing children. Then one image particularly disturbed her, of one that looked like the man standing in front of her right now yet wore armor and was raining hell everywhere.

She looked back up to him, surprised to see tears trickling down his face. He explained that he wasn't proud of his past and would like to settle this in a friendly matter, but to his opponent, the only way was to wipe the others completely off of the face of the world. Anger contorted his expression, a sickening red energy seeped from him, though less than a moment later he calmed himself and apologized. He then gestured to Scarlet to ask any questions and right after he would send her back to her family and give me a choice like he did the others. His latest proposal bubbled up a small amount of interest within her. There are others? Of course she knew there were others but the realization that she may not be the only one in this current state of confusion and uncertainty sparked her interest even further.

"Now," Daimion learned forward in his chair slightly, "What questions do you have for me?"

Leaning back against the sofa, intertwining her fingers and crossing her legs. She attempted to give him the impression that she was not in the very least intimidated by him. She's thought about this carefully, and her questions came out one right after the other.

"What's so special about me? Who are these "companions" that you spoke of? What do you want of me if I come with you? Who are the others? Where can I find them?" She only asked the most essential questions, quickly and efficiently though drifted off when she remembered a certain little card she had placed into her pocket when her father returned. She slowly, uncertainly, slipped out the card from her back pocket and presented it to him. "Naja gave me this, he said to say the inscription if I ever wanted to talk to him." Scarlet gauged the man's expression and suddenly felt as though she made a grave mistake.

The conversation took a turn in a direction Syeira had no inkling it would ever go to. The man started talking about mystics and fighting against evil. Maybe he really did need some water so he could clear out the drunken thoughts from his mind. Wait, water and beer made people drunker so that idea was shot.

Listening to him, she could see that no one else in the tavern was missing. Oh, yeah something was definitely up. She wondered if this was one of her weird dreams again, but everything seemed normal enough. But what had struck a cord was calling her a witch.

You’re different, Sye. Her brother had told her. He had raised her when they had gotten separated from their mother. Every elder gypsy in the caravans they had met all said the same thing. They said she was different from them, but they still embraced her. Though her hair kept her an outcast to most people it was those who held the abilities the people thought sacred that had took the young woman in. They had always told her the last time she met with them while looking for her brother before ending at the tavern, that what she sought was not the same thing as what she would find. She didn’t understand the logic behind it. How could search for a missing brother, the man who raised her, be anything less than a brother, the same man?

Shaking her head from the past, Syeira took the card from the man and stared down at the little letters neatly printed on its facing. She couldn’t understand them, but then she wasn’t the best reader in the world either.

Glancing around the tavern that had returned to its full life, she shook her head trying to see if she hadn’t just imagined the whole encounter. No, in her hand was still the money she had been given. All right, so she wasn’t crazy yet. That still didn’t explain everything unless what he was saying was actually true. If that was the case then what the elders were talking about was the same thing. It made sense. But things making sense had never usually happened to her.

Within a few minutes of being able to force herself back to work a young boy came into the building asking for her. She couldn’t go. She had a rush and she just couldn’t leave the other girls who weren’t so used to dealing with the roughness of certain male tendencies, she was firmly left to her own work. Though she was curious on why someone wanted to speak with her specifically.

Maybe it has something to do with the man from before and the card he left. I really do need to decide what to do. But after my work shift at least. The night for me is almost over. Luckily, Casamir is allowed to walk all of us home. The boss is nice here unlike some of the other places I’ve worked at. Two hours left.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Casamir had watched the exchange between the mysterious newcomer and his sister. He caught the glance his way and his guard instantly raised. Something was up. Something he didn’t like the smell of. Whatever it was, he was going to have to be careful.

Once Naja was gone, the young man went back to his work. Bouncing in the tavern was more or less something to appease the man who had taken him in. He thought that the girls needed protection and having that would raise profits. He was right it did, but that didn’t mean Cas didn’t get bored.

He rubbed his temples lightly before taking another drunken man out of the building and putting him outside. There were exchanges of threats and who could hurt whom the most.

Casamir always won. Shaking his head, he glanced back into the busy room and turned and went behind it. It was his place to just get away when he needed it. The girls knew where to find him if they needed him for anything.

I need to tell her soon. I doubt she will believe me. Why should she? The man she was raised with was only our cousin
Signing, he glanced up to the sky. The stars were shining brightly and he remembered all of the wishes, hopes, and dreams he had poured into them as a boy. He no longer did so, but it never hurt to remember a time of innocence among the chaos everyone seemed to live in.

His footsteps were heavy in the marble hall of the council building. Naja approached the high council, kneeling to show respect.

“Naja, how goes your search for the mystics?”

“I have found them, but so have the Nobility. They are trying to weasel their way into their mind to keep them from me. I must do something, but with the rules in place I can only do so much,” Naja replied still kneeling.

“This is serious. Naja, do what must be done. Call upon them to help you.”

Naja nodded and stood to his feet.

“Thank you, high council.”

With that said, Naja turned and left the council building. He sat on top of a mountain range with his legs crossed. His eyes opened and he smiled. He had been given permission to intervene, and intervene he would. First he needed to call on Laea and Nicolai, the only two remaining mystics like him. They had been sent away, but Naja had his way of contacting them.

“Laea. Nicolai. I need your help. Come to the shining moon mountain.”

Naja’s voice reverberated throughout the mountain range.

Somewhere Unknown

“Laea, I fear we won’t ever get to the bottom of this case,” Nicolai stated as he held his gun at his side.

“True, but worse things could happen,” Laea responded as she thumbed through notes on a desk.

“Whatever happened to the old way of life?” Nicolai asked as he watched his partner.

“You mean with Naja and the others? Clearly we were sent away on a specific mission, to which there seems to be no end, but I assure you when we’ve completed it, the high council will send us back to Earth,” Laea replied.

Wind rushed into the area, and Naja’s voice filtered in.

“Naja!” Nicolai said softly after hearing the familiar voice.

“He needs us; otherwise he wouldn’t call for us. Let’s go,” Laea stated as she stood to her feet and nodded to Nicolai.

Both vanished in a burst of energy.

Back on Earth

Naja continued to sit, while Nicolai and Laea appeared beside him.

“Long time no see oh fearless leader,” Nicolai stated with a smirk.

“It is good to see you as well, but I am afraid pleasantries will have to wait. The others are in dangers. The new mystics have been found, but the council had restricted me from getting overly involved. Now that they have lifted their restriction, they asked that I contact you two in order to help me.”

“We will be honored,” Laea stated.

“Excellent. Laea, travel to London and seek out the one called Willow, find her, make sure she is safe, and deliver her the message. Here is her picture. Nicolai, go to Canada, find Alleyson and Scarlet, and make sure they are safe. I will be traveling to the Russia, to make sure they’re safe.”

“Roger!” both Laea and Nicolai stated as they vanished in unison. Naja smiled and vanished as well.

Russia

“I agree Casamir. You should tell her the truth. You are her brother after all.”

A voice came from behind Casamir as the young man looked up at the sky reminiscing about the innocent days of youth.

“Go ahead,” the voice stated again, “make a wish.”

Naja appeared out of thin air in front of Casamir.

“I trust you remember me from inside the bar? There isn’t much time, things are going downhill as we speak and I will need your help young warrior. You fight for what is good and decent right? Then help me. The other mystics are in trouble; however, I cannot speak here. There are too many listening veils. Take this card, read the inscription, and there you shall find me. Remember, keep an eye out on your sister, and make sure she doesn’t make the wrong decision. Quickly, go to her now before it is too late.”

Naja gave Casamir the same card he gave the others before moving closer to the male and whispered in his ear.

“Remember, not all is as it seems. They will try to label me as the bad guy, as the one who brings destruction, but it is not true. The Nobility is a dark sinister group of monstrous beings, whose only goal is to take over and destroy. They are bringers of death. Look for the mark of the Nobility. Each of them has a mark that looks like a decayed serpent, and it is always on their left or right hand. The Mystics have a mark of angel wings that can be on any part of their body.”

Naja rolled up his sleeve to show the angel wings that began flapping and glowing slightly.

“This was the way to tell friend from foe. Remember, look for the mark and be careful young warrior.”

Alleyson Rosewright

Alleyson sat in her apartment soaking in the tub, relaxation taking over. As she was about to drift into a solemn state of peace, a knock came at the door.

Lifting up from the tub and grabbing a towel, Alleyson rushed to the door and peered through the viewing hole. It was her land lord.

"the hell does he want?" she muttered before unlocking the door and opening it slightly.

"Wassup?" she said with a smirk.

"Some man wants to see you outside Alleyson. Best if you come now."

"Fine, let me get dressed."

She closed the door and walked over to her closet. After picking through her tom boyish clothing, she found a suitable outfit. A overly large shirt, baggy skater pants and skater shoes. She walked out and completely passed the land lord as she made her way to the exit. Who the hell wanted to see her? She thought as she walked, the land lord in tow behind her.

As she opened the door, she looked at the rather large man standing in front of the exit. He looked to be up to no good, but she would give him the benefit of doubt.

"Wassup?" she asked softly.

Laea

"I trust that book is an excellent read," came a voice with no physical source, at least not to Willow.

When the girl looked around, a soft light illuminated the area and out stepped Laea.

"Hello Willow," Laea said softly with a sincere smile on her face.

Surprised, though not showing much emotion, she hesitantly said, "Hello" and dropped her book out from her hands into her lap. Willow didn't even look down to pick it back up, she could only stare in awe at the sight that was just performed in front of her eyes. "I'm sorry for my lack of hospitality, but why are you here? I'm just cutting to the chase quickly, if you don't mind." Not looking, she grabbed the book from her lap and closed it, tucking it under her right arm, still looking up at the person who Willow only seems to be intruding in a rude manner, but not harsh enough to dismiss her from her home.

YanYu eyed the man strangely. What nonsense was he spouting from his mouth? A mystic? Her? Impossible, ridiculous, implausible! She couldn't even compare to the dragons within her clan, how could he tell her she had an ancient power that lay dormant within her, one that many fear? There was no room for her to comment for he immediately continued saying that she would have to leave the home that kept her protected.

Her eyes widened when the man transformed into some other form. It was clearly the same man, but the power that enveloped was indeed ancient majick. Gasps could be heard around the room, and she swore that even her father, the most stoic of them all, was impressed.

She felt a card being pressed into her hand as words floated into her mind. Telepathy...? She opened her mouth to respond but she heard an unexpected snap of fingers and the man disappeared entirely. Chatter filled the room; news was going to spread quickly. Yes, she was the daughter of the head of the clan, but no one was going to believe that the Mystic was her and not her brothers. She looked down at the card in her hand. It wasn't in Chinese, but it wasn't a language she recognized either. Was it perhaps something similar to Latin? Solvia Lumus Verde... What a strange incantation.

"Bi zui!" Quiet! Boomed her father's voice. The room fell silent. "Leave me alone with my daughter." He ordered. Everyone in the room aside from the father and daughter departed quickly.

Even after everyone had departed, only silence hung in the air. She knew better than to speak without being spoken to, so she waited. After a few more minutes of silence, her father finally spoke. Still sitting leisurely, he began to speak.

"He is indeed a Mystic. That transformation belongs to one, I cannot deny it."

Did he believe that I truly held ancient power? She thought to herself.

"However, what proof does he have that you are the water mystic? He has none."

Her hopes immediately dissolved. Accepting the task of the water mystic was not something significant to her, but her father's acceptance was. He had always treated her less than her brothers, and even now, he was not willing to accept that there was a possibility that she was indeed someone with power. A mystic himself had come to look for her, what more proof did he need?

"Father..." She hesitated, afraid of the consequences for arguing. "Do you not trust the man, or is it that you believe that I am someone incapable of being a Mystic?"

For a split second, anger flashed on his face. "When have I been wrong, YanYu? Forget about the Mystics."

Her heart dropped. That was it. This was the end of the conversation, he wasn't going to speak any further. She bowed before making her way out of the room and out onto the courtyard.

At the sound of his name, the young man jumped to his feet to face the speaker. He was surprised it was the same man he had seen speaking to Syeira earlier in the night. His guard instantly went up as he listened to the words coming out of his mouth. He knows. How? The thought was persistent as he watched Naja. No one save himself knew about their blood connection and he only knew because of his mother.

“Wishes are for children. They don’t come true. You have to make them.” It was a lesson he had learned the hard way. No one was going to convince him it wasn’t the truth. Things just didn’t happen because someone wanted them to; they had to make their wishes real by acting upon their dreams.

Casamir continued to listen to the words the man was saying knowing some how these were the same things he had said to his sister. Though he understood. Yeah, he was a tavern boy, but he spent a lot of time with the gypsy caravans he should have lived with. They knew things going on; it was hard not to out there alone in the dark. His people above any others knew something was wrong. They had for centuries. So the words made sense. But him? And Syeira? That he found hard to believe. Unless of course it was their blood.

He would protect him sister. He had been doing so since he found out that was his sibling. He was searched not venturing very far, but taking every clue he could get. Until when he saw the red hair, he knew he found his little sister his mother had told him to protect. Taking the card, he placed it in his pocket and headed back into the tavern. It was close to Sye’s shift to end and he would walk her home like every other night. Only this night he knew would be different.

________

Syeira watched as Casamir walked back into the tavern from his break. Luckily she was cleaning up her last table before heading home. Walking behind of the bar, she pulled out her tips from the night before. She would get this night’s pay out tomorrow evening. She pushed them down into a pocket on the inside of her skirt before making her way over to the bouncer.

He nodded his head at her presence and without a word the two of them left the building and headed down the dark street towards where she roomed with a couple of the other tavern girls. They all worked different shifts, but all shared the same place.
“You’re quiet tonight.”

“Huh? Oh, sorry.” Cas rubbed the back of his head lightly, ruffling the dark locks as he glanced down at the female walking beside of him.

“So what’s on your mind? You only get this quiet when something is up.” There was a faint smile on both of their faces as they both knew it was the truth. Though Casamir was slightly discouraged that she could tell so much about him.

“That man from earlier
 did he give you something?”

Syeira arched her brows together as she pulled the card out of her pocket then she nodded her head.

“How did
 you know?”

“I got one too.” The two Eason siblings looked at each other for a few seconds as they stopped walking.

“So he
 wasn’t lying then?”

Casamir shook his head. “I’m afraid not.” He could tell she wanted to ask more questions, but he wanted to get her home first. “Come on, let’s get you home first. We can talk there.”

Sye nodded her head as she placed the small card in her pocket and then followed behind of the male to the house where she lived.

_______________

Thirty minutes of strict, serious conversation hadn’t gotten Casamir any closer to telling his sister who he really was. He was more trying to come to a decision on what the both of them were going to do. He knew what he wanted to do, but Syeira was the one who was worried about reading the words.

“Look, he said read them if we wanted more information right?” With the nod from the woman he continued. “Then we might as well find out more. It’s not like it’ll hurt having more information.”

At this Sye seemed to be content. Mir hoped anyway from the look on her face. She seemed satisfied with the plan of action. So he hadn’t told her, he was her brother. Her real brother. Not their cousin whom she thought was her brother.

They both took the cards out of their pockets and held them in their hands.

“Solvia Lumus Verde.” They read the words at the same time, glanced to each other as they waited to see what would happen. To see if what the man had said was actually true.
