Ten years after her mothers death, Roshia has become the best in the academy of her work. She was working on what her mother was before she died. Many have called her crazy but many admire her or taking over what her mom was working on. Roshia was standing in front of her board and would look at all the connections her mother had. One connection that didnt make sense was the forest that would be on the outskirts of town and she would close her eyes. "mom what were you close to?" she asked herself as she saw her captain would arrive in the station

"morning Captain, how are you this morning?" she asked the captain who went straight pasted her to his office. Her captain was satyr. "Boy he's pissed" A voice said behind her and she saw her Uncle Ray. "Yea no joke. normally he says hi to me when he walks in. Could it be because we have a new person coming to be someone's partner?" She asked. "Yea, yours" Ray said "what? I'm fine, I was fine." She said. "you were shot by a posion arrow meant for a mythical creature Ros, you could have died. Your human." Ray said to her and would then sigh. "Look I made a promise to your mom that I would watch over you while you were being cared for else where. But you need a partner to watch your back. I wasn't able to do that for your mom, but I gonna make sure we dont lose you" Ray said and walked away leaving Roshia alone with her thoughts. "well lets hope that this new person coming in is cool with my hot head and stubborn attitude" she thought and then chuckled to herself as she would put things up to leave

The next morning, Roshia would walk into the station and began to work on her paperwork that she had left the day before. She would sigh and look at all the murders that had taken place. “Come there has to be something that I’m missing, but what? Mom tracked who ever it was to the outskirts of town, but no one has been there in years.” She said as she would look at old newspapers from when her mom was working for the station.

“Hey rose” her uncle ray said coming up behind her. “Hey uncle, what’s up?” She asked as she would take her eyes off the screen of her computer to look at him. “Nothing much, ready to meet your new partner?” He asked and roshia would roll her eyes. “Uncle I don’t need a partner, I’m fine on my own promise. Besides, each partner that has been paired with me has left because they don’t think or believe I can solve something and think it’s a waste of time when I don’t think it is. I have a right to know what happened to my mother” Roshia said.
