Under a bright moon the Five Kages and thier advisers meet in a hidden location to discuss the dangers of the murderous organization of the Akatsuki and thier rumored kidnappings of the Jinchuriki. "If these rumors are true then they already have three of the tailed beasts.. whats to stop them from taking the rest? With two of the beasts missing from the sand village and one from the leaf, i'd say thats no coinceidence" shouted the Mizukage. "If i remember correctly the two jinchuriki that reside in your village are both jonin, am i right? if so then they should be capable of handling themselves if they stay near the village." The Raikage spoke without a hint of emotion, his village being the only one with no jinchuriki's, he was the least bothered by the news.

"How can you say that? These akatsuki were able to steal three of the tailed demons from right under our noses!" The Mizukage took a moment to gather herself not wanting to lose composure in front of her peers. After a long pause the Hokage rose. "Now i know that with times like these it can be difficult to see eye to eye, but worry not. I have been working on a solution to this problem since i receved word of the kidnappings." He looked off into the distance for a moment. "Ahh he's here, Zero would you care to explain what i have in mind?"

As Zero stepped forward, the Kage and their advisors, save for the Hokage of course, all seemed suprised. He was a giant of a man, every bit as large as the tree he seemed to resemble, but his steps were silent. The only thing that might give away what he was would be the color of his eyes, but in the light of the moon they just seemed a bit pale.

"I am sorry that I was late Lord Hokage. I looked this hideout over before entering, I hope none of you mind. Security is fairly tight..." The tall man says, kneeling once he enters the main room, where all the kage are seated around a table. I can't believe I left my own lord's side to come to this pit... he thinks bitterly.

"Wait...I know this man. From a picture I saw in a scroll once, I believe...oh, what is his name...ah, yes! Byatsu Zero, host of the Nanabi, from Kusagakure! A shame that such a weak nation received such a strong beast..." The Tsuchikage says, crossing his arms and all but actually turning his nose up at Zero, who simply ignores it and looks on towards the Hokage.

"Erm...thank you for coming Zero, please, have a seat," the Hokage says, clearing his throat before turning back towards the others, "Now, as some of you already know, Zero here is a jonin from Kusagakure, and a ver powerful host with mastery over his tailed-beast... What I am proposing is that, for the safety of the shinobi world, we allow this man to round up the remaining hosts, take them somewhere safe, and train them, before the Akatsuki, or whoever it might be, can get their hands on them!"

His breathes were coming in ragged draws, sweat poured from his brows, and not just from the heat of his own jutsu. It was the middle of the night, and Kazan was still out by himself training in the mountains to the east of Iwagakure. Yonbi was groaling inside, complaining in his own way that his host should rest his body, lest he injure himself and die, which would result in his own death as well.

"Shut up you demon...I need to try this...just one more time...perfect it..." Kazan says to himself, straightening up and wiping his face with his shirt. "Now...let's go! Fire Release: Burning Demon Shuriken!"

Using a bit of the Yonbi's chakra, the tired shinobi rushes forward, then suddenly leaps into the air. As he goes higher he reaches behind him and draws out one of his windmill shuriken, then with a flick it comes open and is already glowing dimly in the dark. When he swings his arm around, then releases the projectile, there is a hiss as it hurtles towards his target, a large tree. As the blade whirld closer Kazan lands and draws out two kunai and tosses them as well, both of them heated also.

There is a slicing sound then two thunks, and the air is filled with the smells of heated metal and burning wood just before the tree falls, two kunai imbeded in the upper trunk.

The forest seemed to sway with his impatience, as Sumi stood pacing back and forth. It wasn't like this hadn't happened before, and he couldn't particularly blame his friend for it. Sometimes he couldn't help being forgetful. As he paced, he brushed a hand through his ebony hair before stopping in his tracks. Harsh coughs racked his body as his hand flew to his mouth, clutching his paining ribs with free arm. As soon as the round of hacking and coughing stopped, he held his bloodied hand in front of his face before wiping it away with shaky hands. These days, his health had been like a roller coaster—some days he seemed perfectly fine, while others he was bedridden. Slowly sitting down, he took deep calming breaths to still his thumping heart and held his hands fists together, fingers extended. It was only in this position that he could calm the sharp pains; meditation, something the monks in the monastery had taught him whenever he suffered his outbursts or bouts of sickness. Truthfully, the only one that could completely calm him (besides from the use of sedatives) was his best friend, Tezuka.

They'd planned a day of training today, and then the Mizukage wanted to see them, which he guessed was for their next mission. It'd been awhile since their last mission. Sumio tried to clear his mind of the painful thumping at his temples, and the maddening thoughts that urged him to scream. He couldn't help but shiver with the effort, until his hands eased away from their clasped position and he clutched his head. W... Where is he? Sumio's desperate thoughts ushered through the noise in his mind. For years, it'd been his helpful voice and steady smile that helped him clamber from the darkness. Tezuka had always been the boy with his hand held out, waiting for him to be brave enough to take it. As they grew up, his dwindling hopes had grown into something he could look forward to. Without him, he didn't know where he would have ended up.

Not wanting to dissapoint his old friend, Tezuka made a beeline straight for the forest. Villagers gasping and laughing as Tezuka sped through the village in the mist half naked, it was alright.. the village was used to his antics by now, even as a young man he couldn't shake the kid inside him.

"Sorry!!" he called with a wily smile as he passed through the village gate. Heading into the forest dodging trees left and right, he couldn't help but noticed that the fog that covered his home was especially thick today. almost to his favorite training spot, he wondered if Sumi would be mad.. Sumi never gets mad! he reassured himself, he'll just lecture me and wonder what i was doing. Coming into view is a half naked, wide-eyed Tezuka holding his pants and Katana. He saw Sumi sitting in that weird pose again, upon closer inspection he noticed Sumi was shivering.

"Yo! sorry im late, i almost fell asleep at the baths again" he said as he slid on his pants. "You alright Sumi? your not getting sick again are you?" he produced a playful grin. "How am i gonna teach you any Taijutsu with you sitting around all day?"

It was only when his friend bustled through the woods; half-naked, wide-eyed and clutching his pants and Katana in either hand, that Sumio's hands drifted away from his head. Sweat already clung to the back of his neck and tried to force a wry smile, before shaking his head. The sharp pangs in his head receded to a dull pain, something that could be manageable. “Someday,” He finally said, looking up at his friends with a weak smile of his own, “Your going to fall asleep and drown, you know.” Pushing himself to his feet while Tezuka pulled his pants on, he rubbed the goosebumps dancing across his pale skin.

“I'm fine, I'm fine, Tezuka,” Sumio responded with less conviction, wiping the sweat from the back of his neck with his crimson scarf. Truthfully, even if he wasn't feeling fine, he wouldn't pass up a chance to train with Tezuka—especially if he was being taught Taijutsu. He always thought that maybe if he strengthened his body, it wouldn't be so weak. The only way he'd pass this up, is if he was unconscious. Honestly, these were the days he looked forward to the most. It kept his mind off of the pain. He couldn't help but laugh, before he stripped off his sky-blue hakama and set it off to the side with his scarf. “There's no way I would pass this up, anyway,” He added, stretching his arms behind his head. Perhaps after, he'd have a chance to relax at the hot springs. The thought was tempting.

“Besides, the Mizukage called for us after we finish training.”

Kyonae fluttered on Midori's shoulder, restless. "Easy, Kyonae, easy." She sat on the roof of her building, waiting. The Hokage hadn't let her out of the village ever since they had heard the Akatsuki were on the move again, and it made her restless, with nothing to do. She was an ANBU! Surely she would be just fine going on missions?

"Woah now! theres the spark you need for Taijutsu" Tezuka said as he watched his friend stand. "Ninjutsu and Genjutsu can be learned through practice and training alone" he stated as he walked to a large tree nearby. "But what makes Taijutsu special is the passion required to excel in it." he said as he slammed his fist into the tree, the sound of splintering wood and a loud yell came just before the tree hit the ground. "Sumi, you have this passion.. i see it" he turned to his friend, "But you have to start small, think what would happen if i showed you the Wings of the Black Dragon and you used in your current health." "Im just not ok with teaching you something dangerous with you sick all the time." Tezuka looked down and spoke softly now. "You think i dont see everytime you walk away to go cough you lungs out, or how you often grit your teeth when you think i cant hear you. but you dont hide it well." he looked back to his friend. "Sumi i worry about you, and i cant have you hurting yourself over a few techniques." "Taijutsu will come soon, i promise... but i think the more important matter is the bloodline that seems to eat you up inside, how about we focus on this for a while. that way you'll be in prime condition if you still want to learn" Tezuka taking a lighthearted tone again, grinned deviously "And afterwards we'll build that body up until your on my level, hell.. you might pass me in the process"

Tezuka turned and patted Sumi's shoulder. "Anyways, lets go see what the Mizukage wants.."

After all were in agreement the Hokage turned to Zero. "Now a little information on the Jinchuriki, the young Midori from my village is ANBU, she is highly skilled and im particularly proud of her, she deals with the burden of the demon well." "You shoundn't have a problem with her." He smiled a bit. "Midori is a Disiplined Shinobi and is well trained, although she does house the Fox demon, and we all know of his destructive nature."
The Tsuchikage chimed in " Yes Kazan is the Jinchuriki from the hidden stone, he is a kind young man and shouldn't cause you a great deal of trouble." he squinted a bit before he spoke again. "do be careful though, Kazan trains often and makes quite the mess with that lava kekke genke of his."
The Kazekage was the next to speak. "Kouta is daughter of the head of the Minamikaze clan, one of my closest advisers, and is unaware she is a Jinchuriki.. infact no one but myself and her father know she hosts a demon, so it may come as a shock to her when you tell her." the Kazekage thought for a moment. "To be safe ill send word to Raiko Minamekaze, her father, ahead of time" "She is young, only 13.. by far the youngest of the Jinchuriki, keep that in mind."
Zero turned and waited for the Mizukage to speak. She looked him over a moment before saying anything. "There are two Jinchuriki in the Hidden mist, Sumio Hokkaido, and Tezuka Kyosai." "The first of which is a bit reserved, he is frail and often ill, but is strong in his own right and has a good head on his shoulders, now I know that it may sound like he could put you at a disadvantage but hes nothing compared to Tezuka" "Tezuka is often a pain in the ass, he never listens, and his antics are unbecoming of a shinobi of his skill, dealing with with him wont be easy, nor will be keeping an eye on him, but i have to admit." she laughed a little. "he keeps things interesting."

The Hokage spoke once again. "Please make your first stops at the leaf and sand, once you reach my village, you'll be given any provisions you may need for the journey." "if you have no further questions, be on your way, and good luck"

Zero sat quietly in the offered chair and waiting for the Kage to make their decision, but once they had he leaned forward to rest his arms across one another on the table, listening intently as they each, in turn, described their country's jinchuriki and a little about them. It was obvious this would be an extremely difficult mission, not only because he would have to round them all up, but because of the sheer number of them. Out of the nine of them he would have to be training five. It was a tragedy that some of his brothers and sister had already fallen, but there was nothing to be done about them now.

Once he had been given the word, Zero stands and bows to everyone before dissappearing in a small gust of wind fill with wildflower petals.

Suddenly he was atop the meeting place, scanning the horizon and acertaining how long it would take to reach first the Land of Fire, and then then Land of Wind. Seeing as how the Land of Fire was the central most country, he would start there, then move outward in a sort of spiral until he would, at last have all the hosts together. Once that was done they would travel to his secret training grounds. In a gust of wind he was gone once more, onyl to appear high in the air on green wings, flying towards Konoha.

It had been almost an hour, and Kazan was still being chewed out by his elder, and sensei. His name was Sonkei, head of the Yamamoto clan, one of the most influential in Iwagakure. The three he had cut down had crashed nearly into the family home, and while Jin, the man's son, wasn't so upset with it, the father was furious.

As punishment, and much to the annoyance of the Yonbi, Kazan had been asked to use the strength of his beast, or whatever other means he had at his disposal, to remove the tree and then, tomorrow sometime, he would have to repair the roof.
-=-=-

Eiga was meditating, trying to calm himself down. His anger was still something he had to deal with, even after all the time he'd spent training himself to ignore his emotions, and having no partner to speak of at the moment was making him a little frayed around the edges. One could only carry on a conversation with themselves for so long before something snapped.

"I need something to kill..." He says under his breath, placing a hand on the ground beside him, causing a diamond sword to emerge from the ground. "I'll just practice some more..."

Standing quickly he grasps the blade in his right hand while turning forward, into a flip, and after a short tumble he gets to his feet and spins around. His style had alot of literally flashy moves to it, and he was very fast, but lacking precision and power. Unlike Kazan, who had too much power, more than anyone should have without Eiga's own kind of training. If only he could get a hold of the Yonbi for himself...

Kouta had made her spot in the park on one of the swing sets watching some of the younger children play tag as she messed with some sand, lifting it up and using chalkra to form it into different shapes, she had made a cat, a mouse, a dog, and a dragon so far "Well this is fun" she said sarcastically before moving a strand of her white hair out of her face.

Sumio crossed his arms over his bandaged chest as Tezuka spoke, watching him stride over to a large tree. He had to admit that he enjoyed being taught by his friend rather than the teachers in the academy, unlike them, there was no disdain or resentment gleaming over his friends eyes. They were equals, and he respected him more than he could ever express. As Tezuka struck the tree, it gave a splintering groan before lurching forward, shaking the ground beneath his sandaled feet. He couldn't help but smile appreciatively, he wanted to do the same but knew if he injured his hand—it wouldn't heal as quickly as anyone else, it was true that he could use his own body as a deadly weapon, but its self-destructive repercussions were far too high. Even his friend urged him not to use his clans abilities. Walking closer to the fallen tree, he analyzed it, the trajectory, the explosive punch. He wanted to be able to utilize his body as much as his friend could. As his friend praised his passion, his weak smile fell into a frown. He knew the way the conversation was turning, and his mind thumped in protest. Opening his mouth to argue, he closed it and stared hard at the tree. Unfortunately, Tezuka was right.

“How can I expect to get stronger, if I keep worrying about my body?” Sumio questioned quietly, he hadn't noticed his hands gripping into white-knuckled fists. Someday, he knew, his weakness would bring his friend down. His weakness and ailments posed as a threat to his friend, someday if he couldn't protect himself, he knew his friend would risk his life to protect him. The thought made him sick. However, he released the tension in his fists and ran a shaky hand through his hair, a nervous habit he'd acquire over the years. “But you're right, as much as I hate to admit it,” He added, with a withering sigh. Moving towards his hakama, he slipped it over his slender shoulders and swung the scarf around his neck. He took a few steps towards his friend before adjusting his hakama.
“You better keep that promise,” Sumio dictated, nodding his head with a wary smile, “Or else I'll be left in the dust, and pretty pissed.” He couldn't help but feel disappointed at passing up a chance to train with Tezuka, but they had all the time in the world, and he knew that his friend always kept his promises. It was “his way of the ninja” or something like that. Standing there like that, he couldn't help but be reminded of the two boys they'd been years before, promising they'd be the best.

“Alright, let's go see what she wants.”

((XD I can make a random Sand Ninja for ya, Kaida, so Kouta's not so lonely! ))

As they took off walking to the village side by side, Tezuka couldn't help but smile.. This is how it always was, these two side by side. Always alone and distant from the rest of the village, but together in the same right. He wanted the best for his friend. He wanted to find a way to turn Sumi's weakness into a strength, he had no idea how but was determined none the less. As they reached the village the were greeted by the Mizukage. "Hello boys, I figured you would have been waiting for me, glad to see I didn't hold you up." She said with a smile. "I've been rather busy as of late, and I have a lot of things to talk to you about." She twirled around and began walking in the direction of her office with the two close behind, her beautiful blonde hair flowing gently in the afternoon breeze. "This may come as a surprise, but there is a group of ninja hunting the Jinchuriki. We dont know much other than the fact that they are very VERY powerful." She had a habit of talking with her back to the boys, which annoyed Tezuka to no end. "They go by the name 'Akatsuki.'" As they reached the tower she found her chair and sat gracefully in her heavily decorated office and produced a small stack of papers. " I was supposed to leave you boys in the dark on this subject, but I owe it to you as you've been a great asset to the village. A tall man with hair the color of the greenest grass has been sent to gather the Jinchuriki to counter this threat, He will come for you soon, and you will go with him." She brought her face up from the papers. "And under no circumstances are you to leave the forest surrounding the village until then," her voice rose and she clenched her fists. "AM I UNDERSTOOD TEZUKA?! This is important and I need you to listen just this one time, please." She turned to Sumio. "Please for the safety of you both, keep him in line"

Something roused Midori out of her doze. She wasn't sure what it was, until she saw a shinobi with green hair. Something about him set her off. Then she realized what it was. He was a jinchuriki, like her. She watched him...he seemed to be looking for something. Then, Midori awoke to Kyonae pecking her on the forehead. She had dreamed it. She sat up, rubbing her head where the falcon had pecked her. "What an odd dream..."

"I don't think it was a dream miss." Zero says, sitting on the roof of the building across the street. "You are Midori, correct? The host of the Kyuubi? I'd feel like a fool if I weren't able to find another of my kind after all these years." He knew this was the girl he was looking for, because he could see her jinchuriki chakra as clear as day. It was a trick he had picked up over the years, something that came in quite usefulmon occasion. "My name is Byatsu Zero, and I was asked on the behalf of the Kage Summit to collect you and take you to a safe location."

Slowly he stands up and lets his full size be seen by the young kunoichi. If he remembered right, she was a member of the Leaf ANBU, which was a suprise to Zero, but all that meant to him was that she would be very cautious of him, and more than likely she'd try to attack him. If that were the case then she might end up getting hurt, which wouldn't be good for his cause.

"So...I'm to meet with Hitoare and proceed to the Hidden Mist Village, huh?" Eiga says, stabbing his diamond sword into the ground then snapping it and causing it to shatter into fragments that looked like nothing more than white sand. This was something only he knew how to do, and he liked to keep it that way. "Seems that the Country of Water has two jinchuriki in their possession, and it's up to us to bring them in. Sounds fun."

He had just finished his training and was about to retire to a small underground cave he used as a secret retreat when a hawk had flown down to land on a nearby branch. In one claw it held a small scroll, and as soon as Eiga got close it tossed the scroll to him and flew off, knowing the shinobi might have very well sliced it up.

On the scroll had been his orders, simple enough. He had been paired up with Hitoare when he first joined the Akatsuki, a while ago now, but they hadn't fought against one another or together in at least a year. It would be quite a fun oppertunity to see if their teamwork was still as good as it used to be, or if eithe rof them had gotten rusty with time. Slipping the scroll away he leaps up into a nearby tree and heads to the location where he is to meet his new partner.

Daiki was walking around the akatsuki base, looking for someone he can bother. "Hotaru senpai?" he called out. He stopped to listen... no response. "Eiga-kun? Hitoare-kun?" There was a moment of silence before Daiki letted out a loud sigh that seemed to echo throughout the base.
"Nobody's here!!" he complained before frowning. "Ah! They must all be outside. Hmm wonder what they're doing without me... hey no fair, how come they're laving me out?!" Daiki quickly headed outside and jumped onto a tree. He looked around, as if he can see everything from up there, searching for at least one of them.

"Ooh.... a hawk..............." he said to himself when he saw one fly by. He always seemed to be getting distracted. "Wait... why am I out here again?" Daiki leaned against the tree, wondering. He literally forgot... People would probably wonder why someone like him was in part of akatsuki. They were known to be those missing-nins, capturing the tailed-beast. Most were even frightened of them. It was hard to believe someone like him was in part of that group. "Oh right!" he yelled out of nowhere, finally remembering his task. "Hotaru senpai!!! Eiga-kun!!! Hitoare-kun!!" He jumped from tree to tree, continuing his seach...

"Kouta, Honey its time to come home" her father called out to her as she pushed off thew swing and ran over to him.

"Hi daddy" she noticed the odd look on his face, he looked almost pained about something "Is... Is something wrong?" her blue eyes peered up at him as his brown eyes looked down at her as he squatted down to her eye level.

"Honey We need to talk" he looked down and let out an exasperated sigh "You're not 'Normal'" Kouta was explained "Not normal? dad what are you talking about?" her dad seemed more pained now "Kouta you know the story of the shukaku right?" kouta nodded "It ravaged the village almost a century ago before they started sealing it inside of people" her father smiled "Wow they taught you well at the academy" "So what is it you wanted to say" kouta was sick of her dad beating around the bush.

"Kouta you're the host of the shukaku now" Kouta's eyes almost exploded out of their sockets at the news "I'm- I'm a demon host!" she yelled as her chalkra went haywire and sand started swirling around her.

As the Kazekage had entered the village he had a thought, what if i send the Minamikaze child to him? that would only make things easier wouldn't it. Being compelled by this idea he stopped at the home of Raiko Minamikaze. The Kazekage was never one to make house calls, but this was a special case, he knocked at the door and waited for only a few moments before being invited inside. "Excuse me for dropping by unannounced like this Raiko, but something has just occured to me." offering the Kage tea he spoke nervously. "Oh no sir, its completely fine, whats on your mind?" Sipping lightly on the tea, the emotionless face of the Kazekage unnerved Raiko, especially after the recent news over his daughter. "The one called Zero should be on his way to the Hidden Leaf Village if he isn't already there, it is my duty to make sure his mission is a success by aiding in anyway i can, sorry if this seems a little to straight forward but i things i need to attend to, want you to escort Kouta to Zero in the hidden leaf, doing so would save him a great deal of time and energy." The Kage stood and walked to the door before he spoke again. "This is very important and must be handled with care, i want you to take two other shinobi with you for added protection, this is vital to your daugters safety, if it wasn't i wouldn't have come all the way out here." He smiled only slightly. "Tell her i wish her luck." he turned and walked out, closing the door behind him. Raiko's face was white with anxiety. After taking a moment to collect himself he stood up. "Kouta, honey! Could you come here for a moment?"

Walking into the village, things always felt different. The glares Sumio used to receive as a child were reserved, even semi-kindly and he knew that none of that would have came without Tezuka. The trouble-making boy had been the only one to make him feel acknowledged, or useful. As long as they were together, he knew that he could do something great, even if it cost his life. It'd been like this for as long as he could remember and for once in his life, he didn't mind it. Striding side-by-side, they could do anything, or at least that's what it felt like. Smiling softly, he tucked his arms into the arms of his hakama and ignored the soft, thumps at his temples. When they were like this, it was almost bearable. Before he knew it, the fiery Mizukage stood before them, smiling like she always did. Instinctively, his posture straightened and his eyebrows raised worriedly. She didn't seem to plan talking to them out in the open, so Sumio followed along with his friend and racked his mind with the possibilities. What could it be? A mission? Not likely, the remaining goosebumps trailing across his pale complexion told him different. This felt different.

Sumio couldn't help but glance around the inner office, it was large and the architecture was brilliant. Something he could always appreciate in the village of the Hidden Mist. Mouthing the word Jinchuriki under his breath, he wondered who would hunt them. And for what? It wasn't as if they could harness their beasts, could they? The thoughts whirled around his mind until he stood in front of her wide, wooden desk stacked with papers. Obviously, she was busy. Akatsuki, that was what the group was called? It left already left a bad taste in his mouth and his stomach lurched irritably at the injustice of it. Most Jinchuriki had always had a hard time “fitting” in at their respective villages, and now they were being hunted like dogs. It wasn't fair. “Akatsuki, huh?” Sumio repeated, raising his dark eyes to meet the Mizukage's. This wasn't the time to interrupt their Mizukage, he could tell by that look in her eyes that this was serious and he stilled his beating heart, absorbing the information like a sponge. He almost jumped when her voice jumped a few octaves, as she glared over her papers and stared directly at Tezuka. Throughout his childhood, he'd always been the one keeping Tezuka out of trouble—and he'd always been pulled into trouble when it didn't work. He smiled sheepishly, nodding his head.

“I promise,” Sumio receded, meeting Tezuka's gaze before grinning. He met Mizukage's gaze once more, his eyebrows raising, “What should we be doing in the mean time, Miss?”

'Look at him, talking to himself again and playing with his jewelry.' Thought Hitoare Akushio to himself as he watched his partner from a distance. The orders he'd received earlier depicted that he was to meet up with Eiga and capture two of the hosts, but nowhere in the orders did it say that he couldn't have a little fun. His hands kneaded together to form a single seal. 'Water Style : Hidden Mist Jutsu!' With that, a heavy fog began to roll in where it'd been clear moments before. As the fog built, Hitoare smirked to himself, "If he's gotten better, this won't be a problem for him... if he's gotten worse... I'll just have to stitch 'im back together." joked Hitoare to himself as he began to draw closer behind his partner. By now, the mist was extremely thick, barely anything was left even mildly visible. Hitoare crossed his arms over his chest, swinging them out to either side of himself as the mist cleared in a growing circle, revealing him to be directly behind his partner. "BOO!" he yelled, knowing full well he wouldn't get the drop on his old friend.

"Yaknow, you're a hard guy to get ahold of. Here I am walkin' around all alone, lookin' like some kind of social outcast and you've been right here all along. Great."

"But as far as intros go, we can catch up on the walk, what's say we get moving?"

After leaping through a few trees Eiga was back on the ground, walking at a normal pace and taking his time as he made his way towards the Land of Water, and the Hidden Mist Village within. It was understood that he would be meeting with Hitoare somewhere in between, but no clear meeting spot had been given. Something told him it would be sooner than later though.

Just then, as he was reaching into his cloak to take out a snack he'd been saving for his journey to Mist, he heard something above him, in the trees. Pausing mid-step he looked up and around, then noticed Daiki closing in on him, calling his name. Before he could respond, however, the area around him was shrounded in mist that was quickly growing thicker and thicker. While it was true that there was more than one shinobi in the Akatsuki with this technique under their forehead protector, he was sure of who it would turn out to be, and the sudden BOO from behind confirmed it.

"Good to see you again Hitoare, I thought you might try something like this." Eiga says, more calmly than the last time they had met, Too bad I already worked off my extra emergy. But, you're right, we should get going. Sorry Daiki, got a mission to get going on, see ya later."

And with that the partners began walking to the mist as it lifted, headed east towards Kirigakure.

After a few hours, Kazan finally found himself in his bed. His intended plan was to simply train for a little bit, alone in the woods, but that had turned into a punishment for him, something he had gotten somewhat useful. The Tsuchikage believed that with his kind of power he should do everything in his ability to control himself, and the Yonbi. But that was proving to be harder than he thought. Plus, on top of all that, if he failed a mission, or messed up his training, he was punished with something that would make him work much harder.

But now, he could simply sleep, and relax. Even if he did have another nightmare about the past, when the Four-Tailed Monkey caused chaos all over the Land of Earth, he was too tired to care right now.

Step-By-Step, the two Akatsuki walked toward the mist. "Man, it's been a too long since my last visit to the mist..." said Hitoare, smirking at the fun he use to have there. "You think that one town's forgiven me, yet?" he asked sarcastically, still pausing in case Eiga wanted to deliver some sarcastic answer before reaching behind his back to retrieve a pair of demon wind shuriken. He held the ninja tools out to Eiga as he spoke, "These guys're sharp and all, but I remember you've got quite the gift when it comes to making sharp edges sharper... would you mind settin' me up with some diamond edges on these for old time's sake?" asked Hitoare, holding the pair of shuriken out to his partner.

"So, how've you been, Eiga? I'll save the good questions for when we get a little closer to the village." stated Hitoare, he knew that Eiga's checkered past could only have gotten a bit more spotty as time drug on, but he wanted to be sure his friend had not become too down-struck since their last meeting. Especially since Hitoare had brought money to spend on Sake and other instruments of merriment on the journey. He could feel the coins jingling in his breast pocket, and soon found himself smiling all over again. 'I can't wait,' he thought, as he listened avidly for Eiga to answer him.

"Woah calm down m'lady, ill hangout in the village for now." His nervousness faded. "Only just this once." Tezuka said with a smile. Behind wild yellow eyes, questions and thoughts bounced around in his head. "Sumi, I'm gonna head back to my place and grab my coat, how could you let me walk around barechested all day?" He said in a joking tone. He turned and prepared to leave the office before speaking again. "Thanks for the heads up m'lady, oh and Sumi, meet me at the ramen hut in about an hour.. I'm starving." Tezuka stepped out of the office and made his way down the Mizukage's tower. As he went he thought about, not the strange group she had mentioned, but the tall man with green hair. She said he was gathering Jinchuriki like Sumi and myself, I wonder what the rest are like? I wonder if they got a heads up too? I wonder what's taking this jolly green giant so long to get here?! His adventurous nature was getting the best of him, causing impatience. As he reached the bottom of the tower he headed straight for his home. producing a small wave when others passed, "Tezuka!!" A small voice called out to him from behind. "Oh hello Naka, its been a while huh, how have you been?" The short red-headed girl who had once been his rival now walked beside him. "Oh not bad, just lots of boring missions and troublesome genin, what are you getting into today?" Tezuka stuck his hands in his back pokets and looked up to the sky. "Nothing really, the higher ups have given me and Sumi some time off so I'm gonna relax for a while, maybe go to the hotspring with Sumi later, your welcome to join us if you have time." Naka turned to look at him. " Sounds like fun, but hey, I have to get going, sorry.. Students are a handful." She smiled and waved before leaping away. "Nice chatting with you though." As Tezuka brought his attention back to his surroundings, he realized he was standing two houses past his own, "damn" he said under his breath and turning back he ran inside, he looked for his coat for only a moment before noticing it was on his bed, a small black shortsleeve coat with a large furry hood. "There you are!" He slid it on, leaving it unzipped and ran out of the room, off to find his friend once more so he could eat. With a puff of smoke, Tezuka disappeared from view.
