This technique changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. This effect goes around the body (not just the hands), making it just large enough for a person to move through. The user can pinpoint where they are, despite being underground, by sensing the magnetic forces. They can also sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. One can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.

A much more powerful version of the Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks, the user creates one thousand sharks out of water, and they enter a wall formation, raining down to attack the opponent.
Crystal Release:
Crystal: Hexagonal Shuriken ~ This creates shuriiken made entirely from crystal. These are very strong and extremely sharp as some users have been able to pierce dense metal.
Crystal: Kunai Hexagonal Prism ~ This creates kunai made entirely our of crystal. These are very strong and sharp, giving them great piercing ability.
Crystal Release: Crimson Fruit ~ This jutsu allows the user to create a dome around his target with varying shapes and sizes. The more crystal he makes the more chakra it would consume. This dome is really durable and can withstand some fairly powerful blows from both inside and outside. Even power equal to Rock Lee's Taijutsu or Sasuke's Chidori would not be very effective, although the power of Kakashi's Kirin could crack the dome and make it quite fragile.
Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Mirror ~ This creates a mirror made from crystal which is used to make a crystal clone of what is reflected in it.
Jade Crystal Clone Technique ~ By using Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Mirror the user can create a clone of whatever is reflected. These clones can have chakra points, although ill-experienced shinobi require additional chakra input to do this. Creating a clone of oneself is takes very little chakra and is a perfect clone. When creating a clone of something or someone other than the user it takes much higher chakra and is a mirrored image of the original. (So if the original person has a freckle on their right cheek, the clone will has it on the left cheek.)
Crystal Release: Crystal Encampment Wall - Kuro sends out a wave of chakra which then turns into an almost impenetrable crystal wall which also mends itself. This crystal most likely has a similar endurance to the one created by the Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Labyrinth Technique.
*Crystal Release: Crystal Imprisonment Wave - A larger scale version of Crystal Release: Crystal Pentagonal Prison, Kuro can encase a swarm of opponents in crystal. Unlike other crystal prisons used by Kuro, in which crystals emerged from the ground, this crystal forms in the air.
*Crystal Release: Crystal Lance - This Jutsu allows Kuro to create a large and sharp spear-like rod attached to his wrist, which he can use to impale his target.
*Crystal Release: Crystal Needles - Kuro creates long, sharp, and pointed crystals that shoot at the target at extremely high speeds with pinpoint accuracy.
*Crystal Release: Crystal Pentagonal Prison - Kuro completely encases his opponents in crystal. When the crystal is shattered, the bodies of the victims disintegrate along with the crystal particles. When people where examining some organisms hit by this technique, they appeared to be covered with a frostbite-like pattern.
*Crystal Release: Crystal Wheel - With this technique, Kuro creates a disk-shaped wheel made of crystal around him allowing him to keep above water and race towards the enemy at high speed. Rumor has it that Kuro can even use this to go over magma without being harmed; when others ask about this Kuro never gives a straight answer thus keeping it unknown if this is true or not.
*Crystal Release: Growing Crystal Thorns - Kuro creates growing thorn-like crystals that continuously grow towards the opponent's direction.
Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Blade - With this technique Kuro can quickly form a blade made of crystal on his arm, and use it in a manner reminiscent of a Tanto or other type of sword. These blades could even been lent to someone if this is chosen to happen.
*Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Hexagonal Pillars - This technique, which was originally used for the process of summoning the Three-Tailed Beast by Guren (the first known Crystal Release user), creates five large black and red crystalline pillars around the user. Kuro uses an altered version of this to summon crystal versions of other summons or even small Tailed beasts he has seen. Kuro however rarely uses this unless absolutely needed. Contracts are not needed to summon the creature.
^Crystal Release: Expanding Flower – The user can create black or red crystal flowers that can expand to create a surprise attack or even a trap. This is used in setup for Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Labyrinth Tecgnique.
Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Labyrinth Technique - First Kuro creates a large number of crystal flowers. Then he can grow these flowers into a gigantic labyrinth consisting of black or red crystals. Enemies trapped inside it will mostly be lost because of the fact that the crystals reflect their personal image, as well as generate mirror images of the routes, paths, and details within the labyrinth, confusing and intimidating them. It is even capable of confusing the Byakugan.
Because of the crystal's stable molecular structure, a simple attack focused at one point is rendered useless, and its wide surface will disperse the force of wide range attacks, reducing their effectiveness.
Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Prison Technique - This technique, which seems to be a minor version of the Crystal Release: Crystal Pentagonal Prison, allows Kuro to completely encase a single target in crystal. If the crystal is shattered, the victim disintegrates along with the crystal particles. However it seems by encasing one’s body in chakra before being encased the disintegrating effect can be negated. Also Kuro has learned how to put a thin layer of crystal shards around the target to prevent the opponent from being disintegrated.
Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Wall Eighth Formation - This technique allows Kuro to encase a large area in crystal, thus crystallizing everything within it.
Crystal Release: Shuriken Wild Dance - Kuro surrounds himself in crystal particles, condensing them into numerous shuriken which then rain onto the opponent.
*Crystal Release: Tearing Crystal Falling Dragon – Kuro crystallizes a material in the area, and then turns it into a dragon. It can be used as a means to travel or to attack a target. Several dragons can also be made and manipulated at once.

Mental Barricades – This creates mental blocks on one’s mind to guard important information the target may know. If questions while under the effect of this Genjutsu, nothing can get someone to give information. It seems like the information was never there to begin with, making truth serums and other Genjutsu ineffective for getting information. Kuro is great with using this just and can dispel it when it is cast on someone.
^Mistaken Identity – This genjutsu can be used on one person or on a large scale of people. This is a jutsu the Shoyama clan came up with that utilizes their Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Mirror in a unique way. Once the target has seen their reflection in the crystal mirror they are trapped within the genjutsu. Once trapped, the target will see someone dear to them in place of the user of the genjutsu.
Clan: The Shoyama clan moved out of Konoha four years before the Second Great Shinobi War; however they still remained loyal to Konohagakure. Not many ninja from the Shoyama clan went to war since there were still so few of them. The Shoyama clan members that did go to the war however were mainly back-up and support. Once the war ended the Shoyama clan vanished with no trace to be found; not even the best of the best trackers could locate them. Since even their chakra had vanished it was assumed that they died and the bodies wiped out entirely.
About forty-five years ago a large black, red, and blue temple made of crystal rose from the ground over the time of one night. The following day Konoha Black Ops were sent to investigate the temple and found many people around it. When they reported back to the Hokage there was shock and amazement. A clan that had vanished for decades had once again come about. At first there was great caution about these shinobi since they had been missing for so long and when they finally reappeared they had gone from less than fifty in numbers to a total of one hundred thirteen people. Only eighty of them had talent as shinobi, however it seemed that all of them could pass on the Crystal Release Kekki Genkai.
Twenty-three years passed before they were allowed to enter Konohagakure as Konoha citizens. It took another twelve years before they would be allowed to enter the Ninja Academy, and this was just in time for many young Shoyama clan members. Some Shoyama shinobi went into the school mid-way through the year and were still amongst the best there.
As far as anyone other than the Hokage and the Black Ops there are only a few Shoyama living. Although this thought derived from not seeing many of the Shoyama clan since the majority stayed at what is now called the Crystal Temple. All that are commonly seen in Konoha are two Jonin, three Chunin, and one other who is soon to be entering the Chunin Exams. There is one female among these shinobi and she is one of two Jonin. Other than these six it is thought amongst most people that there are only twenty or thirty other Shoyama, if that much even.
