Joruri's Story

'I didn't think we were supposed to meet up until we reached the city, but there's five of them right there. May as well join the party.' Joruri was observing the party from a safe distance trying to determine that they were in fact the new Akatsuki he was so bent on assisting. Walking up from the side and behind he calls out. "Hey guys! Fancy meeting you here! Joruri at your service. It's nice to finally meet all of you in person. Those silly projections hardly do you all justice. Your much more scary in person."

Staring at Joruri feigning hurt he turned to the new face. "You think I'm scary? well that's just not right I mean I'm in no way scary I'm just your everyday normal rogue ninja I mean sure there's the fact I have different colored eyes but that's about it really. I mean killing people is a hobby sure but scary? I think not sir." Walking up to the new guy he looked him over for a bit. "Hmm... hey Yuki-taa.... Kootta what do you make of him? I don't see anything special of this guy at all he just seems bleh to me if you get what I'm saying."
Pulling out another cigarette he lit and huffed a long drag from it and pointed it at Joruri. "Didn't we tell you to meet up at the city anyway? your initiation to the Akatsuki was supposed to happen there not now. And besides if you're going to wear your Akatsuki robes wear them right like I do!" Brushing his robes he threw his hood over his face. "See? this is how you do it, it keeps the face covered so that others can't recognize your face, albeit I don't like that it's Kootta's orders... has to do with keeping a low profile until further notice or something I never really cared enough to listen but having my tongue cut out doesn't really suit me much." Saying this he took off down the road towards the town.

Takezo was thinking possible scenarios of how each member of the party would die. It kept going back to Yakurei. It seemed that man, who seemed to have the mind of a small child who's only word known is me, had a passion for trying to start pissing contests. He has managed to piss off three members in less than a half hour and was aiming to make yet another potential ally an enemy. The Akatsuki could never become powerful again with such a mentally incapable member in it's midst. He looked over to the newest member to join the group on the trail.

"He's a puppeteer Yakurie. The fact that he is with us states that he is the best at what he does." He said before Yakurei sped his pace up. Takezo sighed as he was beginning to gain a headache from all these young and ignorant ninjas. He didn't bother with the hood. After all it wasn't like they were actually trying to conceal themselves since the robes gave it away in the first place as well as the large group that they were in. "So tell me Joruri, how would you approach combating an enemy. Let's say an anbu." He asked the young puppeteer.

"He's a puppeteer, so like myself his battle methods are best kept as a surprise." Kootta decided to put in his two cents, "besides puppets are also for show. Asking in advanced seems like it'd ruin the show, Mumo, stop and think...does this strike you as an organization that'd waste a form projection jutsu on someone who hasn't even been initiated?" Kootta had grown tired of wasting time on stupid little things and stopped walking.

"Forget the Land of Honey we'll just hold the damn meeting right here since we have everyone." Fortunately, he didn't need to waste time on hand seal for his kekkei genkai since he'd spent virtually all his time mastering it. The relative parts he took the time to learn later, a massive dome of ice form around himself and the other members of Akatsuki. Sadly since he was doing his full trap on top of the rain barrier, he couldn't shorten the number of hand signs. That being said he still performed the seals for all four of the parts fast enough for conversation to continue normally, though it annoyed him. After all he could perform the seals for just the rain itself fast enough that most ninja wouldn't even notice his arms moved.

Of course a sharp eye chuunin or any Jounin could still catch the movements, maybe even read the seals. So to compensate, he had the sleeves of his uniform overly large to allow him to form seals inside the sleeves with ease. "Ninja Art: Threefold Rain Tiger Barrier Trap," he explained as a heavy rain began to fall on the outside of the ice dome. "I'm aware of anything that disrupts the fall of the rain and get an approximation of the strength of those it touches. Furthermore it'll trap those inside allowing for quick clean up. Naturally the more disruptions there are to the rain, the less accurate it is. But since we're in the middle of wide and flat nowhere, it should be fine." He didn't explain how it worked beyond that, there was no need for them to know that there was a visual, sound and touch genjutsu infused in each of the aspects of the rain: the pattern it fell,the sound of if touching down and the feel of water on the skin. The ice barrier was designed to even be sound proof and the dome itself interfered with the other two parts. With that precaution, everyone was safe from the effects of his barrier.

"I guess the first order of business is our goal, otherwise we have no reason to work together."

Mumoichu was looking around at the barrier he whistled in amusement. "Wow Kootta that's amazing this time I'm being honest, with my small chakra pool this would be impossible." Shaking his head he sat down and crossed his legs and looked at the others. "If my attitude really bothers you guys as much as it does fine, I'll leave the attitude for the enemy I mean sure it's unbecoming of anyone to play with their food but such is life. Anyway maybe we could form Takezo and Kootta's plans together do a small scale assassination here and there and leave the harder stuff to Kootta's engineering." Stretching his back out he looked at the others waiting for a response and continued. "If all goes well we can cause small riots within surrounding villages too to keep their attention diverted as well, I mean a little chaos never hurts right?"

Senshiro looked towards the new face that had just joined the now ever growing group. She had heard him say something about them looking more scarier in person than in the projections they were so fond of using. "Really? I don't find myself to be scary." She said with a slight pause and grinned before continuing, " I don't understand everyone's reasoning for saying im evil." She laughed at this even more, shrugging her shoulders she continued walking. It wasn't too long before Yuuki decided to stop and hold the meeting where we were. Seeing as how all of the members had gathered along the path instead of meeting at the Land of Honey. However there were some questions that were running through her brain, as to why a person who still needed to be initiated into the group was going through no test. Finally she decided to speak up, "I have a question. Did Joruri even go through a test to join us or are you letting him in because of his superior puppet skills?" She asked and then noticed the ice dome beginning to form around them. "Wow, really surprising Yuuki-san. It's no wonder that your the leader of the group." She said giggling as she sat down and looked at the rest of the group.

The clones where a nice trick, she had to admit that. But there where some choices that she had to make.
1. Was the fact that she could allow herself to be hit and that would be the end of this excercise. However that wouldn't be letting them go to the best of their abilities.
2. Would be that she could counter the attack but then have to continue fighting which would be a bother for her seeing as how she was in need of a drink.

Soratushi huffed for a second and let out a sigh right after. Deciding quickly in her mind she allowed the attack to graze her as she dissapeared and reappeared infront of the three logs." This test is over. Maren has succesfully touched me so therefore I will recognize you as my genin. Now, from this point on you will be known as Squad 9." She said outloud, knowing that she allowed him to graze her so she could go get her drink. However she did have to admit to the fact that their teamwork was well executed even if Maren did do most of the work. "Now that that's over with, lets go out and celebrate the formation of your new squad." The jounin said with a smile as she looked at the three boys.

Kami was prepared for any attack. He was certain of the fact that each person would follow the plan to exact to the letter. Maren however had other ideas see as how he was taking Sensei head on. Which was pretty brave, he had to admit that to himself but then again there wasn't really anything that he could do about it. Knowing that he head to be ready for a signal from either one of them. Son however felt the anticipation of wanting to fight running through Kami's veins. But he knew he couldn't allow him to go all out here, so close to the village that Kurama and Naruto had protected. "Don't even think about it. Your not going out there." Son stated to Kami in a serious manner. Kami sighed and deactivated his byakugan as he saw Soratushi get hit by Maren's attack. "Well that was a waste of planning." He said as he walked towards the center where Sensei was and looked at Maren with a smile and held his hand up. "Nice job Yasutora." Kami stated with a grin.

Joruri chuckles as everyone reacts to his scary comment. "Friends, I didn't mean scary as an insult by any means of course. Much more of a compliment to our potential as a group. As for my battle skills. I'm the only puppeteer to master the ability to control people against their will. I am the best at what I do. The only person who could have ever hoped to compare to me was my master, though I surpassed him years ago. I attack from the shadows. I am a master in stealth attacks I would have an enemy under my control well before they know I'm there." Noticing the barrier of ice forming around them Joruri looks around. "This is impressive. I've never seen a jutsu like this one. I can't wait to work with all of you. This is going to be great."

Takezo was actually unimpressed by Koota's jutsu. After all, he used it when everyone was willing instead of in the heat of battle. That rain was dangerous when within range. The rest of the Akatsuki were mindlessly commenting on the jutsu though he just wanted to get down to business. "Now it is about time to begin this long expected meeting of ours. The first thing that is needed to be discussed is our plan and the location of our base." He declared to the group with the intention that all would follow up.

"As for the base we need the territory to border multiple countries so that we can travel at a faster rate. I suggest either Kusagakure or Amegakure or perhaps even both in order to throw off any who my find our existence to be dangerous. Once there we will begin by taking over the city through manipulating it's politicians." He told everyone waiting for a response.

"I agree that our base should border multiple countries, and having multiple bases will help with the mystery of the organization. As for the manipulation of the political figures I believe I could be of use in that matter. After all politics if nothing but a game of puppets. Whoever has the best control over their puppets wins and my control is flawless. I won't be much help in planning the location of our base I have spent most of my life in my Master's study in Sunagakure."

Yawning Mumoichu looked around at everyone and smoothed out his robes. "I have the feeling that everyone here is on limited time, as I myself have an agenda to accomplish at a later time." Standing up he looked to Joruri and throws a kunai into his lap. "Use that when you want to kill someone without them knowing. It's a jutsu of mine what it does is it drains the target of their chakra. It's great because as it's a jutsu of my creation is that it doesn't leave a mark for the damned, meaning hit the target and they die a slow, painful death." Stretching his back out he continued. "I'd say that'd be my way of getting things done discreetly. Only use it when something goes wrong in your political plan such as something goes wrong.... heheh I bet their chakra tastes delicious..." After that he fell backward and lit a cigarette and smoked it without any more want or need to be in the conversation.

Kootta kept his face neutral for the conversation, after all this way business.

"Having multiple bases in multiple countries would be the best option in my opinion. In addition, the security of a ninja village, no matter how minor is a massive benefit. I'm sure everyone here can agree on the fact that villages like to keep what happens in the villages within themselves." He paused a bit to let the others catch on to his line of thought.

"With Joruri pulling the strings, maintaining a hide out within a village shouldn't be too difficult. It would simply take a show of money for them to understand there's a gain. A bit of flattery and maybe genjutsu to warm them up to our side, and the key people in our way he turns into puppets. If we have to prove anything along the way, then a simple show of force might be in order to win them over." He stopped talking to pay attention to his barrier, no disturbances and then continued. " The higher ups can simply be made puppets but the lower ranks in a village will need to be bought. So a quick look at our finances is in order, meaning we need a banker. Whom I now owe an apology for having nothing to contribute at this time."

"I feel I should tell you as to my skill level in controlling multiple people." Joruri closes his eyes thinking for a moment doing some calculations of his chakra and effort needed to control people. After a moment he raises his head and addresses Kootta. "I can control 5 people for up to two days if I have someone giving me food and water. Up to 10 people for about 3 hours. If the situation is immensely out of control via one of my puppets I would be able to control 30 people at most for 20 minutes. Though I would prefer to avoid this. These people being ordanary people and not ninja. Ninja are much more difficult to control I need preparation to control a ninja Chunin or higher." He smiles confident of himself. "That is what I have to offer. I haven't much money so I won't be much help in that fact."

Takezo let out a deep sigh. It seemed that the organization needed one to keep track of their profits as well as the costs. Though the rogue ninja preferred to fight he could do the job. Besides he did have a large quantity of ryu that he gained during his youth that he never really spent. Nine million ryo to be exact. Unfortunately even though it was quite a bit for an individual to work with it would only start them off well before they gained a village.

"I will serve as the accountant for our organization. I have enough funds to buy supplies and bribes until we are able to make a strong hold on the other villages so that we can make an income of our own. On that note I will be making many trips to the Land of Honey for we will need their economic power to aid in our funding." He informed the group.
