Yumiko Harumi (Yumi)'s Story

Yumiko shuffled through the dirt streets finally making her way to the academy, most of the people who showed were genin. She had only recognized one Chunin from the crowd, Sarin, Yumi skipped over to her and the kid she was talking to. "Oi! Sarin we meet again!" She said with her bubbly attitude, she was beaming with joy. "Huh? whose the kid? You look a little bummed out, I'm Yumiko Hyuga!" She smiled gently and looked at the kid trying to figure out who he was, her hands held each other behind her back as she leaned in to observe him.

"That was delicious! Man I will be coming back soon." Genta stretched out his arms then patted his stomach. It was almost time to pick up the new genin and if he was late, what would the Hokage think? He paid and then left for the academy.

"Oh Yumi! What are you doing here? We aren't new genin you know." Sarin giggled and looked at the boy then back at Yumi. "How is lady Sakura today? Have you seen her?" Sarin asked her fellow teammate and nervously tapped her fingers against her sand gourd.

Shuya remained still for some time untill a pair of feet stepped into his line of vision. He looked up to greet her. He smiled on impulse. It wasn't that he felt happy. It just seemed like the apropriate response. He pushed his legs up against the wall he leaned on, fixing his posture. He placed one hand behinds his back, and reached for his wooden sword with the other. He pulled it behind him, as if protecting it. Like someone was going to steal it. He thought for a moment, but before he could say a thing, another person approached. He was surprised the two of them had approached him. Did he seem like such a nice guy? No, it wasn't that. They felt sorry for him. Asking how he was, concluding he was bummed out. How dare they? Who did they think they were? He opened his mouth, but closed it again, hesitating. He kept a smile plastered on his face.

"I'm fine, thanks." he muttered, pushing himself away from the wall.

Before he took a step, the second girl to arrive introduced herself as Yumiko. Yumiko Hyuga. His grin was replaced by a more sincere smirk. The Hyuga were fantastic fighters. Perhaps there was more talent among this group that he had initially expected. She didn't look like much, but being part of the Hyuga Clan, she had to be. He origionaly had no real desire to be on a specific team. Either team would do. But this Hyuga girl, this Yukimo. She would be the ideal team member. There would be no chance of her pulling him down. He spotted students entering the academy in the corner of his eye.

"Maybe we should wait inside." Shuya announced, turning to face the door. He broke away from both the girls. He didn't say goodbye, didn't even offer them a wave. He navigated the halls and into classroom. He glanced around, scouting the talent. No one stood out. They all just blended in with the furniture. He crossed the room, picking a seat alongisde one of the windows. It was where he usually sat. He sat with his elbows against the table, holding one hand in another and pressing them both up against his mouth.

Kaikaku nodded. She followed Ryuuka as she headed inside the academy first.

Kaikau was very delighted at that moment because she met her first friend before her Genin training starts. She wanted this phase of her life to be better than what she had when she was still an academy student. Life in the Academy was not a cloud; smooth and free-going. Students would always exclude her from games or activities; they find her aloof and different. Somehow students also knew about her mother’s bitter past, when she killed her own family. This made also made the students wary of her.

Few students were already gathered inside. As Kaikaku looked around, she saw a familiar face. It was Koto Oki Himura, a former classmate in the academy. She gave her a shy wave, hoping that Kotoki would acknowledge her too. She also saw Shuya, Sarin and Yumi gathered in the corner. Maybe, they've already gathered as team, she thought. She now wondered who her teammates and sensei are.

As Kaiku and Ryuuka were looking for a place to sit, from a window atop, she saw a person went through. He glided on the walls and landed perfectly on the classroom floor. She thought it was a woman at first because of the perfectly long luscious tied silver hair. She looked at him twice, and noticed that he has similar features with one of the village heroes, Hatake Kakashi. She realized it was Ame Hatake Sensei. Everyone was taken aback of his “grandeur” entrance, some of the students even clapped. “Hatake-sensei has a really weird way to enter a room. Since were now full-pledge Shinobis, instead of using doors we should use windows instead.” She murmured silently.

Yumiko shrugged "I wanted to check out the fresh meat." she smiled then winked "Why are you here?" she asked then thought for a moment about when she had last seen her Sensei. "I really don't know where Sensei went." she shrugged and thought to herself, were they suppose to meet somewhere, well she had forgotten if there was a place to meet.

"Man that kid is a downer." Sarin sighed and looked at her teammate. This hanging out with the new genin was boring her to no end. All she wanted to do was visit with the Hokage to see what her dad was like when he was younger, but Lord Uzumaki was with that unapproachable Mr.Uchiha who scared her to no end.

"Lord Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha what are you two doing here? You two don't normally come to these sort of things. Well I understand Sasuke over here but Lord Uzumaki shouldn't you be at the Hokage's mansion filling out paperwork?" Genta asked his most respected leader in his most polite tone and a quick bow. Genta checked the time to see if he needed to rush inside if he was late.
