Haruhito Komatsu was born in the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe Super metropolitan area on October 20, 2068 in the United Pacific Commonwealth of Japan. Being the son of Federation Colonel Kotohito Komatsu, he grew up among soldiers, and was exposed to the military life early on. The early parts of his childhood were spent in his ethnic home of Japan where his fondest memories are. When he was about 7 years old he was sent to the United Commonwealth of Australia too attend boarding school. His assimilation to UPC culture came slowly as he spent his first few months in silence learning bits of English. While at school he found that he greatly enjoyed the game of rugby even though being smaller than the rest of the boys. This led to him developing a tenacity that many know him for. After years of studding a multitude of subjects Haruhito, who had taken up the name Terrence to spare his English speaking classmates had become an ideal citizen of the UPC. After school at the age of 18 he was pushed by his father to enlist in the Federation military and request service with Federation Marines, a family tradition that could be traced back to the days of the Imperial Japanese Army which his family had served in for generation.
