Introduction

In a world inhabited by beastly, yet semi-humanoid races there lies a human kingdom known as Valinor which declared these strange beings as 'monsters' and trained elite soldiers to hunt down these sentient beasts. Long ago, the humans of Valinor invaded the dragon tribe's home of Dragonia, and destroyed their great castle and city. The surviving dragons were scattered across the land, dwelling in caves. That is, until the Dragon King, Orrim, brought those he could find together and built a new kingdom on the Isle of Chrysaor. After the war that drove the dragons from their home, the humans of Valinor continued to wage war against the other races of the world. The second race they targeted were the demons of Carnwennan, as the king of Valinor believed that the Demon King was planning on conquering Valinor for himself. Once known as Pandora III, this world earned the ominous name of Netherworld Styx due to the war and bloodshed caused by the humans and their selfish king. Now the current king of Valinor has declared war against all other races, with the exception of dwarves, elves, and Rukian humans. Will any warriors of human origin turn against their kingdom and band together with the beings that have been labeled as 'monsters'? Or will the King of Valinor's tyrannical ambitions sweep over the land, leaving only the most humanoid races alive?

Furthermore, what has changed the king so much from the honorable and just ruler he once was to the ruthless warlord he is now? And why is it that for as many times as he has led his men into battle himself, he has always returned unscathed even when the opponent's weapons had clearly struck him? Could it be that he too is not altogether an ordinary human any longer? Has he achieved a power worthy of gods, making him immune to all weapons except for those of legendary status? Is this perhaps the power of the Holy Water of Yggdrasil? Furthermore, is it perhaps up to a young soldier to be the hero the Fiendfolk have been waiting for? And what of the boy's commander? What role does he play in this? Will he become a mere lapdog of the king, or will he too stand against Valinor to deliver judgment on the king's vile ambitions? Which side will you join in this conflict? Human or Fiendfolk? Hero or Villain? Or will you walk a neutral path and seek out the rumored Hidden City known as Harmonia? There are many choices to make in this vast, expansive world.

3) Be respectful of the GM and Co-GM.

4) Romance is allowed, but no cybering. That's against the site rules.

5) Please make your posts at least one or two paragraphs at the minimum. I think we got off to a bad start with that somewhat sub-par Prologue.

6) Have fun, and participate. It's rather disappointing to me when people just ditch the RP without giving me a heads up.

Prologue: Orders From the King

A white-haired youth wandered around the streets of Valinor City, carrying a sheathed greatsword on his back. For some reason he was only wearing shorts, gloves, and boots. "Well, I already got some orders from the king. But, I dunno. Is the task he wants me to do really the kind of thing it takes to become a knight?" he sighed, sitting down on a bench overlooking the man-made river that ran through the city. "Still, I suppose as a mere squire I have to follow his majesty's orders, no matter how crazy they might sound. Now, where's my partner for this task? I'm not gonna have to go it alone am I?" the boy shrugged, leaning back on the bench and relaxing.

A young man can be seen working through the windows of the forge, He is smiting a sword that can't be sold to the customers just yet, for he is still a smith-in-training. He has smitten the same metal over and over again, after he makes a sword, he melts it again to make the same sword, but he replaces the metal everyday, he can't just use that metal for many days, it'll grow weak and break easily.

*clink* *clonk* *clank* "This is good enough." Luke said as he bath the sword on a water to cool it down.

The blood red and black dress swirled out behind her as Elana swept through the streets. Elegantly side stepping and weaving through the crowds, sending up dust from the cobbles. She didn't mind that it tainted and chalked her already slightly worn clothing. Dancing through people like a young girl, although she out sized most girls her mental age by quite a bit. See was a developed young lady, unlikely to get any taller or anymore inciting. Still she drew many a look and a smile from all sorts of people. You couldn't just see a smile like that and not get infected. Elana was enjoying herself, the city was all hers and sometime soon she would be saying goodbye. She seemed like a cheerful, normal young woman. Perhaps in the throes of love and enjoying life. Although the scabbard bouncing at her waist firmly removed this idea. Its not usual to see weapons carried by common folk within the safety of the walls and guard. Carrying a blade marked you as someone unique and exciting. She liked the curious looks, some even of respect. It filled her chest with pride, making her journey even more energetic.

In time her aimless journey took her too the edge of the river that acted as yet another sparkling addition to the capital. She could remember the rare times she could enjoy being at this beach. Fake as it was she had never any other kind. Elana's pace slowed as she admired the view, walking calmly along before she heard the sound of someone talking. There weren't so many people around so it surprised her. She calmly walked over, having no qualms about listening. The culprit was a young boy, two things stood out about him. Firstly the ridiculous greatsword and the fact he didn't wear anything from the waist up. It piqued her interest, she couldn't help but intrude.

"Doing what alone?" She inquired playfully, slipping around the sit on the bench. "Don''t tell me you're going to go on an adventure with that thing?" Gesturing towards the sword, her smile and tone was playful and curious.

"Well Lloyd, my name is Elana." She paused and spun around, sending her dress twirling before coming to a stop facing the shirtless kid. It looked extremely silly, but it was fun and she didn't care. "As for why I'm wishing you luck. I pretty sure no one would want you to come home dead. Regardless, you can't really question the king. He must have some reason right." She gave a beaming smile, partly glad that this boy was a little more insightful then his 'brutish' looks would have one assume. She hoped that he would come back alive, he was a good sort. She also hoped that he wouldn't come back a murderer. The king must have had some reason for assigning this task, she certainly wasn't one to doubt his majesty's will. She just hoped it was far more justified then it seemed. Perhaps it was morbid to hope that the princess deserved to be brutally murdered, perhaps she was a horrible daughter of a tyrant. Elana couldn't really think like that, suddenly the charm of the man made river was lost on her and she returned to roaming the city, another of her joys.

"My father was a hero, that's why I...that's why I want to be like him someday! If it weren't for my father, I wouldn't have started on my path to knighthood!" Lloyd nodded as Sir Edward grabbed onto his shoulders. "Very well, sir! The Kingdom of Demons awaits!" he exclaimed. What would happen once they got there? First, they would have to pass through uninhabited territories. Though, it would most likely be a safe journey enough, as most of the beings in this world were rather civilized.

Asterion Bandits

A group of bandits based in the Kingdom of Tarvos. As their name and homeland suggest, they are primarily a minotaur team. However, Freja wouldn't necessarily mind too much if somebody of another race wanted to join her crew.

Ortega Mercenaries

A band of mercenaries led by Freja's father, Antyllo Ortega. He welcomes anybody with skill or potential in battle to the team, and has even recruited two lizardfolk.

Bandana Pirates

A pirate group led by Tobias Jones. Who's aim is to sail all seas. It doesn't matter what race or what class they are, as long as they seek adventure they are free to join.

The Lapis Lazuli Pirates

A group of pirates captained by Lazuli Veniccio. They operate out of her hometown on the island of Valendia. Now recruiting any adventurous souls willing to sail the seas in search of glorious lost treasures!
