Cassius tries to help others as often as he can. Cassius tries to smile and be positive but buried within hides a darkness that slowly gnaws at his soul. He can't help but feel alone in all that he does and feels inadequate when it comes to being a good man. Cassius constantly feels inner pain as he thinks about the others that he has made contact with that has either died or met with horrifying conditions.

His way of coping is jokes and drinking. He is a closet drinker and tries to hide the fact that alcohol helps numb the pain he feels. Cassius can become very depressed and aggressive as he drinks. Its his way of trying to forget the things that he has seen. Cassius tries not to allow others to see him in this weakened state. When he isn't drinking he tries to use humor in his life. Humor tends to cover things and allows him to smile when he can.

Everything that most people see from Cassius is a front. He acts dumber than he is, he laughs like he is always happy, Cassius acts like an open book when he actually has walls that most people will never be able to get through. Secrets that will never break the surface hide behind his smile

Cassius has walked the earth for ages. How long exactly is a mystery to him. He has a curse that he has somehow acquired in his life time where he "dies" of natural causes and he awakes in a new environment with no recollection of his past. Cassius always ends up discovering his angel abilities and creates a new life for himself. In this current "life" his name is Cassius Knight, a Deputy for the NC Sheriff's Department. He was not originally from Cresthill but he made his way to this town after being led by his natural instincts. Before he found himself here Cassius had traveled the world as a Private Security Contractor. Always getting out of situations that most people wouldn't he was considered lucky. But whatever friends he had made always ended up meeting a horrible fate.

Tired of his demons he retired the Pri-Sec life and decided to settle down in Cresthill, where he could try to do some good in his life. Things seemed quiet and peaceful for a while but people started to go missing. Many of which were found, or at least what was left of them anyways. Something has changed, Cassius can feel it. Its time to fight fire with fire.

Dialogue Color: #fe9f00 || Nickname: Dru || Evil Vampire || Bisexual
September 1st
After many, many years of being locked up in a cave in the middle of nowhere, Drucilla finally found her way out. Her only friend, Gerry, well I'm not sure if you would actually call her that found that Dru was locked away from all of the world. Slowly starving and becoming weaker with every second.

Drucilla found herself arriving in a town called New Cresthill. The sign read, Welcome to New Cresthill, Population 1,254. Hm, this is quite a small town, she thought to herself as she walked further into the town's borders. Upon arriving, she immediately began feeling her hunger arising. The vampire tracked down one of the old men who was walking through an alley and fed upon him. She inserted her fangs into the man's neck and savored each and every second. The more she drank, the more power she felt coming back. This was the first meal she had in hundreds of years. Drucilla ended up drinking the man dry. She dropped the lifeless body to the ground with no sense of mercy, wiped her mouth and stepped out of the alley, back into the crowd of humans. Though she felt that there were others around like her, she just didn't feel much in the mood to find out who they were.

All the brunette wanted to do was find a place to stay and try to get used to all of the changes that happened when she was locked away from humanity in that cave out in the middle of nowhere. Drucilla also had to find a piece of jewelry somewhere then track down Gerry to see if she would be able to enchant it so she could be out in the sunlight. She's been getting tired of only being able to be out at night. Yes, night was always her favorite time of the day, even when she was a human but seeing sunlight always made her feel more alive, well as alive as she could possibly get when all she really is is a walking dead person.

She let out a soft sigh as she made her way into a hotel and stepped up to the front counter to get herself a room. Drucilla stared the woman in the eyes and compelled her to give her a suite free of charge as long as she needed the room. After compelling her she stepped away with the room key and headed straight up to her suite.

Shane had completely lost track of the time, all she knew is that the sun had been down for quite some time and the only source of the light that poured in from outside the window was the shitty street light that always flickered. If she had to guess she must have been sitting there for at least 4 hours, give or take a couple years. She'd have a better idea if she got that damn clock fixed, right? Just another note on the mental to do list for her. That's the one thing about being Sheriff that always sucked, your job was never over. Shane knew that for sure. Needing a quick breather, she stood up from her squeaky leather office chair, stretching her back as she made her way over to the window. Sliding her fingers through the blinds, she tugged down on them slightly to get a visible line of sight out onto the main street of the town. Seeing as to how the streets were completely bare aside from the usual night owls and drunks of the town, she could definitely tell she had spent too much time in the P.D.

Grabbing her leather jacket off the back of her office chair, she threw it over her shoulders before exiting her office, closing the door behind her. Just as she was about to lock the door, she heard an incoming message that blasted on her walkie in the room. Reopening the door, she grabbed the walkie off her desk responding, "Go for Sheriff Dawson." At first she heard a bunch of static, then cutting in and out of one of the officers. "Come again, you cutting out!" It was another 30 seconds or so before the voice came through again, this time clear. "Sheriff, we found a body in the alley near Fig and Vine.... Uh, you should get down here." With a sigh she responded, "Alright, I'm heading out now."

Shane clipped the walkie to her belt as she walked around her desk, opening the upper right hand drawer to remove her pistol. Checking to see if it was loaded, she then tucked it into the back of her pants and locked up her office. She had assumed she was alone until she saw a desk lap on in one of the farthest offices in the P.D. Peaking her head in the doorway she was surprised to see her deputy still in the building. "Hey Casanova... Unit 7 found a body over by Fig and Vine. Wanna drive?" She tossed the keys towards Cass, before speaking a little quieter, "I'd feel a little better if I didn't go alone... After all the disappearances lately, even being Sheriff, I don't feel too safe." Then almost as if flipping a switch her demeanor changed to her more, sarcastic laid back self, "Plus," She playfully punched his shoulder, "You're like a giant! So you're probably scarier than whatever could be lurking out there, right?" She couldn't really tell if she was being somewhat serious or just trying to reassure herself. Shane wasn't dumb, she knew something was going on in this town that wasn't normal. And frankly it scared the crap out of her because so many people rely on her to keep them safe.

Cassius stared at the ceiling fan as it rotated, giving the room a choppy breeze. It wasn't overly hot but it was still warm and Cassius was a walking heater so he needed to cool down most of the time. He leaned back forward in his office chari and looked back at the paperwork that littered his desk. Ever since he became a deputy in this backwater town he had nothing but noise complaints and juvenile problems. But he would take that any day compared to his previous life where he was a PSC and he felt like he was always getting shot at. Things were starting to change though, people were going missing and some were found...dead.

Cassius reached for the computer mouse and logged himself out of the system. He seemed to be the only one in the office at the moment, but that didn't stop him from grabbing a bite to eat. Cassius had not had anything to eat all day. He sort of forgot to. Cassius was just about to head out to a local diner when his boss showed up at his desk. He sighed because he knew eating would have to wait. "Hey Casanova... Unit 7 found a body over by Fig and Vine. Wanna drive?" She tossed the keys towards Cassius and without missing a beat he caught the keys with his left hand. Shane spoke a little quieter, "I'd feel a little better if I didn't go alone... After all the disappearances lately, even being Sheriff, I don't feel too safe." Then almost as if flipping a switch her demeanor changed to her more, sarcastic laid back self, "Plus," She playfully punched his shoulder, "You're like a giant! So you're probably scarier than whatever could be lurking out there, right?" She had no idea that Cassius really could be worse than whatever was out there. He was a Fallen Angel after all and that just doesn't happen because he forgot to hold the door open for someone.

"Alright scaredy cat. I'll be your knight in shining armor today. When you say Im scarier, Im sure you don't mean by my good looks do you? He smiled as he stood up and made sure his Springfield XD was holstered. They exited the office and headed over to the garage and got in a Charger. "You know boss, things sure have been getting weird lately. Like bad juju weird. I don't like it." Cassius hated to admit it but lately his intuitions felt dark and gloomy. Like an aura had covered Cresthill and they were drowning in it. The feeling grew worse as they reached the crime scene. Something felt off, like horribly off. Something supernatural had just been here. Cassius could feel it in the air. Angels could sense others but right now he felt the primal instinct of a predator coming out of the alley. Cassius opened the door and stood up to scan the alley way. He closed his eyes and they reopened to show a slight blue glow. He activated his angelic senses so he could figure out what was going on. It was essentially night vision but he could see a wisp of darkness over a dead man's body. He turned to look at Shane and said,"Boss, I've got a bad feeling about this."

Shane couldn't help but laugh softly as Cass said, "Alright scaredy cat. I'll be your knight in shining armor today. When you say Im scarier, Im sure you don't mean by my good looks do you?" She shook her head towards him slightly, before pulling an old knit beanie over her blonde locks. "Pssh A lady killer like you?" Shane wasn't calling him ugly by any means, and they had both worked together for so long now that Cass could understand her sarcasm. She always seemed to forget how much taller than her he was, like nearly a foot... he made her feel so tiny, but then maybe that's why she'd feel safer with him there with her. Especially after everything that's been going on in the town.

Climbing into the passenger seat, Shane fastened her seatbelt before grabbing her gun that was tucked in the back of her pants. She released the clip to make sure it had sufficient ammo, then reinserted the clip and pulled back the top portion of the barrel to have it on the ready for whatever may happen. She was lost in her own thoughts when Cass interrupted them, "You know boss, things sure have been getting weird lately. Like bad juju weird. I don't like it." Shane brought her hand up to scratch her head under the beanie, glancing down at the pistol in lap as she spoke, "Yeah I know... It's not natural. And there's a lot of talk going around wondering if I'm still suitable to be Sheriff because of what I believe." She sighed softly before looking over at him in the driver's seat, "You don't think I'm crazy do you Cass?" Sometimes she wondered about her own sanity, but logical reasoning just didn't seem to make sense anymore... unless there was a serial killer out there with a colorful taste in theatrics.

Shane almost hadn't realized at first what Cass called her, "Hey! She tauntingly smacked his chest, "What have I said about that whole boss nonsense? We've known and worked together plenty long enough for you to call me Shane. Calling me Boss makes me feel... Old." She laughed softly while shifting in her seat. Shane hated it whenever he called her Boss. She understood that he did it out of respect. But the sad fact was that Cass was the closest thing she had to a friend. She wasn't particularly known for getting close to anyone, and he was probably the one person she ever confided in, and the fact that he still called her Boss just made their relationship seem strictly business. Who knows? Maybe it was strictly professional... But the idea of having a possible friend, even if an illusion gave her a little comfort. Especially when a lot of people in the town are question her every move.

As they pulled up to the alley way, Shane slowly climbed out of the car, her pistol in her right hand with a flashlight in the left. Forearms crossed over one another so the light shown where she was aiming. For some reason a cold chill passed through her, making the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. "Boss, I've got a bad feeling about this." Echoed in her ears as her gaze fell upon a figure cloaked in shadow. Yeah... me too." She said it in a hushed tone as she glanced over the top of the car towards him. "Watch my six." Shane didn't wait for his agreement, she usually didn't have to because she knew he'd have her back. Slowly and carefully, she closed the distance towards the body, checking every nook and cranny before kneeling down beside the body. "I'm not even going to humor the idea of taking his pulse..." She looked over her shoulder towards Cass, "His throats' practically ripped out..." As she slowly looked back at the body, she felt the blood drain from her face, her hands shaking so badly she dropped her gun and flashlight. "No... no blood!"

Luke let out a soft sigh as he stepped out of the hospital. He's been volunteering at the hospital ever since the strange deaths and attacks have been happening. He wanted to try to figure out as much as he could from the patients in the hospital as possible so he could try to piece things together since the police don't seem to be finding very much out on their own. Of course if he were asked about it, he would deny every bit of information he's been gathering because he doesn't want to be working with the officers.

It's been a long day, he figured that he mind as well head out to the bar, get a drink before running his last minute errands. As he walked through the streets, he spotted a couple police cars on the side of the road, just near an alleyway. He got as close as he possibly could without getting noticed to see if he could happen to overhear anything. All he seemed to hear was the sheriff's last words, "No...No blood!" But that's all he really needed to hear. The vampires were coming back, there was no doubt about that. He desperately needed to get a hold of Morganna somehow, it's been a while since the two of them had spoken.

The male stepped away from the scene, being sure not to make any noises until he was far enough away that he couldn't be known to be listening in. He slid his hands into his jean pockets and continued on his way to the bar. It didn't take much longer to arrive. Though the second he stepped inside, the immediate aroma of alcohol pierced his nose.

Luke made his way over to the bar and took a seat before ordering a glass of bourbon and sipped from it. Luke was never one to have alcohol to get drunk, he just liked the one glass every now and then to help him relieve the stress. That's all he drank for.

Posey stretched and her eyes blinked open. She was met with the sleeping face of....oh shoot. She couldn't remember his name. It may of started with a K or a J. Not like she cared much. It hadn't taken a lot of effort for Posey to get into his bed. Just bought him a few drinks, flirted up a small storm and he was caught. Fortunately for him it wasn't a transformation night or else he'd never wake up. But that didn't mean she couldn't come back next time she turned and get a meal.

K or J was clearly out of it so Posey didn't have to worry about him up and trying to stop her. Not like he could anyway. She arched her back and sat up in the bed and threw the covers off. Her bare feet hit the floor with hardly a sound. It didn't take her long to get dressed and it was barely noon by the time she left whatever his names apartment. There were still four hours before her work started so Posey didn't see any harm in getting a quick bite.

Sadly however, she'd have to stick for a boring human meal. At least there was was a café nearby.

Hair still ruffled Posey seemed to have no problem looking like she just stumbled away from someone's bed. Which was true. She brushed her hair back and her pace slowed. Across the café she was planning to eat at was two cops. At once she knew it was yet another murder. She rolled her eyes. Whoever was doing it was so sloppy. Whenever Posey took a human life she always made sure to clean up after herself. Still that didn't mean she wasn't curious.

Grinning she crossed the street towards the cop car. She could see and hear one of the cops panicking over the lack of blood. Unable to help herself she chuckled rather loudly. Of course it was a Vamp. Lazy and sloppy the race had nothing on her own. Who'd leave a body out in public. She shook her head. 'So coppers, what's the verdict? No blood? Seems kinda spooky huh?' A small frown graced her lips as she began to put on her naive act. 'I'm safe aren't I? I'm too young to die like this poor soul here!'

Cassius exited the cop car and kept the door open to use as cover or just to access the Charger a bit quicker. Shane made her way to the body in the alley. He held his right hand over the holstered pistol he had on his belt. He knew he wasn't going to need it because whatever had caused this didn't feel nearby. Well, at least the same exact dark aura that hovered over the dead man's body. Cassius's vision had given the dark alley a slight glow, hard edges were identified with a light blue almost neon-like glow. It was almost comparable to looking into Night Vision Goggles but his vision was more clear because he wasn't relying on electronics. That aura had been logged in his memory. Supernatural beings started to make their way to this sleepy town. Why?

Taken out of his thought process by the sound of metal clattering on the ground. Shane had exclaimed,"No... no blood!". The old man's throat had been ripped out but there was none of the stuff that made the body work. Sounded like the work of a vampire. These beings had no sense of the life that they were hunting. Humans weren't animals, they had souls. Something that the vamps probably didn't have. Despicable creatures. Cassius motioned for Shane to come back,"Sheriff, come on back here. We need to call in for CSI." Suddenly beside him he felt a presence, but it felt off. "So coppers, what's the verdict? No blood? Seems kinda spooky huh?" The little girl made an exaggerated frown. "I'm safe aren't I? I'm too young to die like this poor soul here!"

Cassius looked at the blonde, she was a few years younger than what Cassius claimed to be. It was a small town so everyone knew everybody. Cassius centered himself in front of her so that she wouldn't see the victim. He replied to her comment,"Cute little act Posey, from what I hear I think a tough girl like you can take care of yourself. I'd hate to get into a fight with you." Cassius winked at her as he moved forward a bit to start nudging her away from the crime scene. He tried to change the subject. "Headed to work?"

Shane stared at the body for a good long while with her mouth wide open in shock. Obviously she believed that these supernatural things were occurring but she never thought that it'd actually get to the point where she'd witness any of it with her own eyes. She wanted to come right out and say it... Say it had to be a vampire, right? What else could it be? But she didn't know what Cass would say, that's all she needed to do, scare off the one person that tolerates her on a regular basis. But her thoughts were interrupted when she heard him say, "Sheriff, come on back here. We need to call in for CSI."She couldn't help but laugh with a slight snort. She didn't know if he was being serious or sarcastic, but either way CSI wouldn't know what to do with this and wouldn't come to their bum-fuck-town to investigate a John Doe with no blood.

After collecting her gun and flash light, making her way back to the Charger, Shane heard a familiar voice, "So coppers, what's the verdict? No blood? Seems kinda spooky huh? I'm safe aren't I? I'm too young to die like this poor soul here!" Before Shane got a chance to add anything, Cass piped up, "Cute little act Posey, from what I hear I think a tough girl like you can take care of yourself. I'd hate to get into a fight with you. Headed to work?"

Shane holstered her pistol, and set the flash light on the trunk of the car before hooking her thumbs in her back pockets as she made her way around the vehicle. "Dude," She said glancing sideways over at Cass, "Hasn't anyone told you that you're kinda creepy when you flirt?" Shane couldn't help but laugh before looking over towards Posey, "Hey Pose. Look I'm sorry but that's classified. And as much as I don't wanna take you in, you gotta scoot or I'll have to take you in for questioning for being near the scene of the crime." She wasn't trying to come off rude or anything, but if she just let anyone walk up to her and ask questions, and get away with it, she'd start to loose authority.

Shane lowered her voice while glancing towards the girl, "I'll let you... and everyone else in the town know whenever I find out anything, ok?" She then stepped between Cass and Posey, motioning her hands for the girl to leave. "Now off you go." Shane stood there and waited until the girl left before walking back over to the trunk, removing the flashlight from it so she could open it. Pulling out a body bag and some gloves, she muttered to herself more than to Cass, "Now for the fun part."

Posey chuckled. 'A fight? Oh that'd be a sight to see. Just to warn you...' She leaned in close and batted her eyes at the male. 'My stamina is great. You shoulda seen the dude I woke up next to earlier. Little whimp was tuckered out. And I'm not even that sore. He didnt last long. No wonder I can't remember his name.' Shrugging she took a step back. 'I'm sure you'd last longer Cass.'

Her grin grew as Shane got in between them. Hands up she allowed her smirk to show off her canine teeth. 'Okay, okay. I wouldn't want to get in between the two of you. A Sherrif and her Deputy need to be close after all. Who else in this town can you trust to watched your back?' Posey waved a hand at them. She knew Shane's threat was real and she couldn't afford to be taken in, no matter how fun that may seem. But causing a little turmoil between Sherrif and her right hand man would make up for it. Posey dug a pen out of her purse and reached past Shane to grab Cassius's arm. 'Pardon me Shane. I'll be on my way in a minute. I wanna grab a bite before work, but first...'

She scribbled her number onthe males hand. 'There. Call me next time you're off work. We can settle that whole fight think in a different way.' Winking she pulled away and without a word or look back swaggered her way across the street to the café.

Shane couldn't help but feel insulted when Posey made outright, borderline inappropriate moves on her colleague. She wouldn't say she's jealous, Cass is a friend. But the simple fact that that girl could just be so... forth right with her intentions, right in front of the Sheriff, says a lot about the girl, and honestly just makes Shane not like her more. But regardless of anything she felt, she kept it to herself as she angrily removed the body bag and gloves from the trunk. She stood there for a long moment, staring down at the objects before it clicked, "Why in the fuck am I doing this? I'm the Sheriff, not the mortician." She was practically ignoring Cass as she whipped out her cell phone, dialed a number then pressed it to her ear. "Hey... Yeah, Fig and Vine... Yeah I can wait."

She hung up the phone, before grabbing the body bag and walking over to the corpse. Shane laid the bag over the body, just so anyone who walked past wouldn't see it as she waited on the mortician. Walking back over to the cruiser, she closed the trunk, then went and sat in the driver's seat so she could turn on the radio. As she flipped through channels, she shouted out of the car towards Cass, "If you're going to go after her... then just go. I have this under control." She settled on a station that had the news playing, listening to hear if anything about the body had been reported yet, but to her relief it hadn't. She wasn't in the mood to deal with the media and everyone else asking her questions, then calling her crazy when she gave her honest to God opinion.

Once the ambulance had arrived, she went over and helped the mortician get the body into the bag, put it on a stretcher and push it into the back of the ambulance. She thanked the mortician, and began to close the back doors to the ambulance while he went to get back into the driver's seat. She hit the back doors twice to let him know that he was good to go and the ambulance drove off. Shane walked back over to the Police car, getting into the driver's seat this time. She started to put her seat belt on, and sat there waiting to see if Cass was going to chase after the easy blonde or get in the car. Honestly Shane didn't care either way, she just wasn't going to sit around and wait.

Once Drucilla departed Gerry's store, she headed on her way through the streets, she walked pass the alleyway she left her most recent meal lying upon the ground, finding that the area was being looked over by the sheriff and a deputy. The sheriff, she could tell the woman had been human, as for the deputy that was by her side, he gave off a sense of supernatural power, he wasn't a vampire, that was for sure. The brunette just shrugged it off and continued on her way through the dark streets that her lit up by light posts. Drucilla needed to act as normal as possible, now wasn't the time she needed to be caught. She had something to take care of.

Dru twirled the vials between her fingers as she walked, keeping her attention to the front of her, looking for the home of her descendant, the very descendant she had to torture and murder.

It didn't take any longer than twenty minutes to arrive at the address. All of the lights in the quaint little home were turned off, all but one on the far right of the home. It looked as if it were a bedroom. Drucilla smirked as she stepped through the yard and peered through the window. The woman had her eyes glued to a book as she laid in bed, she seemed to be in the house alone, all but an infant baby who was sound asleep. Dru could hear the baby's small snores coming from the room right next to the woman's.

She made her way over to the front door of the home and noticed that there had to be an alarm system hooked up. She sighed and just knocked on the door before waiting for the woman to answer. When the door was opened, a blonde female stood before her in her pajamas. Dru looked directly into the woman's eyes as she compelled her, "You are to let me inside and lock the door behind us then retreat back to your bedroom."

Just as Dru demanded, the woman did as she was told. Once the two of them were in the bedroom the brunette closed the door behind them and she immediately went at her. She tied her to the bed with a scarf she found lying on the floor. "Please, let me go," the woman stated. "I have a baby, I need to take care of her." Drucilla smirked at the woman's words, "Oh, don't worry darling, I'll take care of your baby," she beamed with a mischievous grin.

Once the baby was brought up Drucilla noticed that the woman had been crying, that's when she immediately brought one of the vials out and held the bottle up to the woman's eyes, catching the tears. Just like any human would, she tried to fight Dru off, but that was no use. The vampire slapped the woman across the face causing her to cry a bit more. Once enough tears were caught in the bottle she set it down on the dresser before retreating back to the woman.

Dru knelt down beside her and leaned into her neck, pierced the arteries on the left side of her neck and held the other vial up to the injury, filling it to the rim with her blood. Once that was done, she feasted upon her descendant. Causing her to be nothing more than a bag of bones.

She stood to her feet and made her way through the home to the kitchen and grabbed a trash bag and placed her body into it. She then stepped into the baby's room, stood at the side of her crib and glanced down at the sleeping baby. "Pitiful humans," she mumbled just before she lifted the baby into her arms, startling the child awake. "Don't worry disgusting human, you'll be put out of your misery soon," she beamed just before she snapped the child's neck and dropped it into the bag as well.

After grabbing the vials, Dru stepped out the back door of the home and ran through the woods behind the woman's house with her vampire speed and tossed the trash bag with the bodies in it into the lake before quickly retreating from the lake, hoping that she hadn't been seen.
