As man, only about 100 years ago, reaches interstellar travel, humanity is challenged to accommodate a new infrastructure on a scale never before seen. Now what may have been a 12 hour flight around a single planet becomes a travel between two different stars. Humans colonize many planets around the galaxy, but because of the thinly spread routes between colonies and planets, some colonies do not receive the resources needed to survive. Many of these colonies starve out, never to be heard from again. Among these endangered colonies, leaders arrange plans to cooperate and assist each other as needed for the survival of their colonies, emerging as a new faction called the Wrenthal Combine. The experiment is successful, and with new levels of technology and social understanding some question whether it is possible to create a a completely equal, fair, and just society on all levels. Those who fall under this group question the government, and articulate a message that completely contradicts the rather individual driven society. Wrenthal officials shrug the group off; and those of the "equitarian" think tank come to the conclusion that...

Riots break out. The Equitarians bring chaos to the planets of the Wrenthal Combine, and over 1/3 of the Combine's planets lost, another 1/3 with considerable amounts of unrest. Armed forces organize, and 11 different star-systems now are placed in the fray of conflict. Now gaining reputable recognition, the Equitarians organize the Trythol Commune, a new entity, and wage war with the Combine.

In a world slowly being torn by war for three years, the conflict moves to one of the major goods exporters of the Wrenthal Combine, the Raem Spaceport City. Armed with the necessary equipment, Equitarians launch a surprise attack on one of the greatest commerce centers and metropolises in the Wrenthal Combine.

How will you go on? As a soldier of the Wrenthal Combine to maintain what's worked? As a revolutionary Equitarian furthering the points of an equal society? Or just as a citizen caught in the firefight, unable to get out, and just trying to survive?

As the sun shined dimly, down from the Shikai Mountains came the Omega Forces to reinforce battered troops in the Raem Spaceport, a once thriving piece of civilization now becoming torn one way then the other by Wrenthal and Trythol forces. Two squads, about twenty men going to help relieve a remaining force of 500. How absurd...

"You think we're gonna make it out of this one, alive, Locke?" the man beside him asked.
"I don't know Connor, did we make it out of the last forty alive?" Locke retorted.
"Yeah, well..."
"Well, what?" Locke pushed him on, now a little on edge.
"You never know what'll happen the next time, right Dylan?" Connor said.
"Ain't that the truth," a man said beside them.

The AI built into their suit said there was only about a mile to go before they reached the city limits, as articulated on their visors.

"Alright, little boys and girls, it's playtime, last one down there buys the first round," Locke said, bringing a lighter air to the group. Everyone began jumping from rock to rock down the bare mountainside, starting somewhat of a race to get to their friends in Raem.

"You know, Sarge, you always make things seem better than they are," a woman said, moving along with them.
"Well don't stop moving, Laura."

Just one more task, it seemed.

Within the city, it almost seemed that gunfire, screaming, and organic rot permeated all that was there. Looking through buildings and around on the streets there was this gray tint to the air, like a fog... the gun smoke, or the "fog of war" some called it. Some 500 soldiers at battle in Raem maintained frontlines as to not be pushed out of the city. That would mean certain death.

"Sir, we can see the Omegas from here, one mile they have and they're moving fast!" a soldier said to his lieutenant. They were held out in a worn skyscraper, waiting for reinforcements as they fired down upon the surrounding buildings and streets with whatever they had left.
"Good, now get your squad and start moving towards Cpt. Demoire's detachment, we need to re-establish a line with him. He should be Northeast of here making his way down. And John..." The soldier looked at him.
"Yeah, West?"
"I'm proud to have served with you so long... you've done your best, don't fail me now." The soldier turned to him and saluted, not exactly understanding where that expression came from. "Now get out of here, you have your objectives."

The soldier ran off through the building darkened halls, a firefight persisted as the unit took cover in the building.

"Sir, I see two armor platoons coming down from Keith Street," said a radio beside the lieutenant, while he stood studying a map, trying to figure out where they could possibly go with so little room left.
"Do it." There was a long pause, you could hear someone screaming "man down" as some stray bullets hit the wall behind him.

A thunderous explosion rang throughout the city, a large cloud of dust and smoke came from another desolated husk of a 64 story building just down the street as tanks fired upon the unit's fortified position making the building shake. But the detonation of these bombs silenced everything for the few moments it took the building to toppled upon armored vehicles in the street below.

"The armor's been neutralized, sir!" the radio said. The gunshots picked up again, soon enough.

"Hey Tess I'm going out for a bit. Can you watch the store for a bit?"
Tessa looked up from the engine she had been studying to see her dad at the store entrance. She rolled her eyes as she heard his words, she practically ran the store.
"Sure thing Pa!" She called from her spot on the floor in the back room behind the counter.
He smiled warmly at her before opening the door and leaving the store. Tessa inhaled the smell of oil and rust, some people would puke at the smell, but it only made Tessa smile. Growing up around machinery and basically only fixing things all her life made Tessa the expert mechanic she is today.
Tessa stood up from the ground wiping her greasy hands on her oil stained jeans.
Tessa walked to the front of the store. She smiled seeing the sign painted with swooping letters her father had made.
'Al's machinery' it read. Tessa's dad had owned this shop for two years and one day Tessa would open her own shop.

Tessa was snapped out of her day dreaming as she watched a regular customer walk in. "Hey Tess, my engine ready?" He asked taking off his baseball cap and running a hand through his hair.
Tessa nodded "its in the back Rick,I'll get it."
Tessa hurriedly ran into the back room and skidded to a stop as she spotted the engine she had been fixing. She wheezed as she tried to pick it up.
"Hey Tess I got it, don't strain yourself." Rick said worry clear in his voice.
" I got it." She said annoyed. I don't need any help I got this, just because im a girl dosent mean I'm weak. She thought.

Tessa finally set the engine down on counter. Blowing the bangs out of her face that had fallen in her eyes. She rung up the price, Rick handed her the money and waved goodbye picking up the engine and leaving the store.

Tessa sat down in the chair behind the counter.
"Evacuate! Evacuate! Attention all citizens! You must evacuate! Take all your belonging and evacuate !" Tessa jumped of of her seat as she saw the police hover speed down the streets, lights flashing and the evacuate message blaring.
"What the?" Tessa mumbled. What's going on.
Ring ring Tessa jumped feeling the vibrations in her pants. She shoved her hand in her pockets trying to find the source. She pulled out her Tella-phone.
Her dads face pooped up.
"Tessa!Tessa!" Her fathers frantic voice rang through the shop. His gray hair showing more than ever on the Tella-phone.
"Dad I'm fine, whats wrong."
"They won't let me come back to the shop! They say its to far into the city, you have to evacuate now."
Tessa looked down at her watch, she had a pick up appointment in thirty minutes.
"Dad we have a pick up appointment in thirty.....I'll leave after that."
"Tessa no! Leave now! Your safety is worth more than a couple bucks."
Tessa sighed..it was just thirty minutes, she could leave after that.
"Fine dad..I'm leaving now." She lied giving him a smile.
"Okay I love you."
"Love you to dad." She said hanging up. She sighed again. Thirty minutes and she would leave.
Tessa went back behind the counter and sat down." Thirty minutes she mumbled."

Tessa jumped up wide eyed as she heard the sounds of crashing and gun fire. She looked down at her watch. It had been two hours since she last talked to her dad. "Oh crap.." She mumbled. She looked over at the chair she must have nodded off.
She ducked as the gun shots got louder. She crawled over to the shop door and peeked out, her mouth fell open as her jaw went limp. She watched as a 64 story building fell, the city was covered in destruction and rubble. She could smell the smoky flames of fire
Tessa closed the door and crawled back behind the counter. "I'm gonna die..." She mumbled closing her eye's.

From within the mechanic's shop, Tessa could hear others yelling outside. Perhaps people being murdered and shot as they ran from Trythol forces. It didn't matter at this point, it would seem. The yelling got louder, voices now audible. The front window broke; a man dived through it. Almost immediately after, an explosion ripped a large hole in the wall that you could walk through.

"Ah, dammit... Will! Pierce! Clear the shop, now!" a man yelled. Two soldiers followed in, looking around the shop for anything of interest. "A squad should be on their way to help clear a path, we'll retreat to the main body of forces with them!" Some more soldiers came through the shop for cover.

"Kevin, keep your head-" the splattering of flesh and blood could be heard, then a thud. A soldier lay on the shop's floor, dead. "Man down! We got a man down!"
"Captain! We can't stay here, we have to move!" a soldier cried. Explosions rattled the shop, a suspended piece of machinery fell to the ground.

A soldier looked behind the counter, looking down at Tessa trough his clear visor. "Captain, we got someone!"

"Detain them and keep moving! We need to get the hell out of here!"

The man moved to hop the counter.

Tessa starred wide eyed at the people in front of her.

She gulped to scared to be mad at them for destroying the shop. What was going on. The sentence kept running around in her head.

Tessa let out a small whimper as she watched a man drop dead. Her ears rang from the explosions. She watched helplessly as a man moved towards her, she looked at his gun. Acting from adrenaline she grabbed a wrench that had been blown over by her she picked it up and held it out in front if here like a shield. "D-d-don't come any closer." She tried to stop stuttering she looked weak.

Tessa gripped the wrench firmly as the man stepped towards her she closed her eyes and swung the wrench unaware of if she had missed or hit her target.

The soldier firmly grabbed the wrench as it swung, and could see the look of fear on her face. His hand was armored well enough that his hand wasn't very affected. On his breastplate, in white and circled, the initials "WC" standing for "Wrenthal Combine" were visible.

"Listen! We need to leave, we'll-" He was cut off as he was knocked forth from a missile exploding behind him, tearing walls apart. "Move, now! Out the back door!" The soldier went to push Tessa on, the eminent danger of dying in the air so fervent they cared little about the materials around them; the matter of life or death was more important.

"Retreat!" the Captain called, pressured by the raging firefight, "Retreat!"
"Captain Demoire, sir! This way, out the back door!" Another soldier took lead as he managed to navigate through the building's doors. About seven soldiers remained with the combat group, but it was hard to get a look at your attackers.

"Don't stop, keep moving!"

Tessa open her eyes as her wrench was stopped mid attack.
"Listen! We need to leave, we'll-" He was cut off by another explosion
Tessa slowed her breathing. They were trying to help. She blushed a bit realizing she just tried to hurt her hero.
He ushered her out of the shop snapping her out of her thoughts.
Tessa stayed close to her savior, afraid. What had happened when she was sleeping? It seemed the world had ended.
Tessa gripped the wrench that had remained in her hand, well at least she could defend herself. She looked over her shoulder seeing bullets fly and flames and rubble blocking their paths.
She sighed no way could she survive without these people.
Tessa looked up at the solider who had saved her, guilt clear on her face.
I should apologize she thought.
"I'm sorry...sir, I didnt know who you were and what was happening. I'm sorry." Tessa yelled over the noise, hoping he could hear her. She tripped slightly catching herself in time. She kept running, wait where am I going. The thought crossed her mind in a flash, she stopped. What was her problem, hero's or not she couldn't just follow strangers...especially ones with guns.
"Where are you taking me?" Tessa yelled no longer running, but more of walking.

Chaos reigned over the scene, eventually they got into the inner hallways and began jogging through them. One door, breach, then the next. It was routine at this point. The gunfire slowly stopped as they kept speeding through the labyrinth,

"We're trying to get back to the main body of forces, they're in the Western Official Commerce Center, we'll reorganize and try for defense again," the soldier said. He led Tessa on as they finally reached outdoors.

Off to the side down the street, fierce fighting could be heard. Soldiers were running from building to building, a tank drives through the intersection.

"We got Trythol forces, three o' clock."
"Don't shoot, just move through this alley," the captain commanded.

The alley was darker; they were in between two skyscrapers. There was desolation, abandonment. All action around them was... distant.

"Whose left here..." they heard one of them say.

'Hello? Can you soldier boys hear me?' came a male voice over their intercomms. 'Yes yes. I am talking to you. No need to look around because I'm not there. Look up. Not so high. Geez you guys are special Ops?. Ah there's a smart one. Locked Payson if I am not mistaken. Yes I am viewing you through the cities surveillance system. And no I do not work for the government, but they have offered an award for any assistance given. I thought I'd give you hand.'

The line went silent for a while as a young man worked in a dark room lit up by four large screens one holding an image of Locke Payson and his men. The other three alternated showing different scenes of carnage and death but none of this touched the young man who believed he was safe from all those threats.

Calvin's hands rested on the screens as algorithms and pictures appeared and disappeared in instances.

'Alrighty, Gentlemen, I have a route for you. It should be the safest route at the moment.' he started but seeing their distrust he let a sigh. 'Okay, you don't have a lot of time, but if you have some quick questions for me then I suggest you get them out quickly. If not, then lets get you all some place safe.

"Oh and for the record the civilian's name is Tessa Volegun," said in his quiet room as a picture of Tessa and her father were on a file on one of his screens.

By this time, the Omega Forces have reached the outer limits of the city. Telecommunications were set up between all Wrenthal combat groups in Raem. More than just the twenty Omega soldiers could hear Calvin now.

"Don't expect your reward from us, Calvin," Locke said. The man he was talking to appeared on his visor, his basic information (name, age, physique) displayed. "C'mon, this way, up through the building!" He led the twenty supporting troops up into a towering apartment building. As they passed through, no one was found. The halls were littered with trash, some civilians you could see were executed by the Commune.
"What poor bastards..." Dylan said.
"Sir, we got enemies on our left, across the street from us," said one of the traveling soldiers, looking out through some windows.

One side of the building they were in was torn up by gunfire and explosive weapons. Aircraft could be heard soaring over and through Raem in an instant. The spaceport became new grounds of war for everyone.

A new voice became audible on Calvin's end. He was read to be Captain Nick Demoire, the highest ranking officer in or around Raem.
"Calvin, where are you at?"
The regulars, still stray from the battle group, got to the other end of the alley. Tessa's savior looked at her as they were taking up positions on the street. All they had to do was break one more attack group and they would be reunited with their battle group.
"Here, take this, you might-" he was about to give her a handgun, but a precise shot beamed right through his heart.
"Open fire!" The Captain demanded, aiming then shooting his barrel-mounted launcher up into a high window. The sniper was killed, and in its wake the remaining seven soldiers engaged the pressing enemy force.

Above the chaos, Locke looked down. "Hey Captain... look up."
Captain Demoire looked up, unaffected by the sun as the sky was a gloomy gray. One soldier holding a large over-the-shoulder cannon-like weapon aimed at the street below. Four missiles launched, and curved through their own paths as they hit their targets before them and scattered the attacking Trythol forces.

"Move, now, go go go!" Locke ordered them through the streets. The Omega Forces started hopping from one rooftop to the next as the Captain ran over to Tessa.
"You're gonna want this! Take some of his weapons too, we have to move!" the Captain said. He took the dead man's helmet and went to put it on her.

Tessa looked over at her savior.
"Here, take this, you might-" Tessa saw him as he reached for a handgun but before he could hand it to her he was shot.

Tessa mouth fell open, tears beginning to form in her eyes she was a normal girl. Never had she held a gun, never had she been shot at, never had she seen a person killed in front of her. This was to much.

Tessa began to breathe in short grasp uncontrollably.

"You're gonna want this! Take some of his weapons too, we have to move!" Tessa looked up as a man walked toward her he put the dead guy's helmet on her. She shivered slightly just thinking about how he had died. She knew she looked weak, something she hated to look like but she couldn't help it at the time.

Shakily Tessa picked up one of the guys weapon and followed after the captain. "I have no idea how to use this...are we almost there?" Tessa asked her voice sounding frail and weak.

There was little to no time to think. Through the streets explosions set off and the pavement buckled and rippled, creating ditches and trenches for the soldiers on the ground to use. The Captain kept looking forward, firing his weapon as the other six soldiers moved up. Vehicles were destroyed, tipped over, some ripped in half, some dead civilians could be seen scattered around like discarded tissue paper. But there was no time for that now.

"Sergeant Payson, you deal with Calvin, we have to focus on getting through this street!" the captain said. "Just stay behind something and you'll be fine!" he said to the girl, crouching down behind a tipped vehicle.

Up above on the rooftops, the Omega Forces kept hopping the gaps. "Lt. Maynard, can you contact Calvin? I have my hands tied up here," Locke said, watching the scene below. There was still an incredible cloud of dust from the fallen building, but most of the remains could be seen now. Soon enough, small rotor-wing aircraft came up to harass the Omega Forces up above, dropping some infantry down, letting missiles fly and a bullet storm unleash. One helicopter shot down by missile fire which began spinning out of control off to some distant area.

"Sure thing, sergeant.," came a response over the radio. Attempting link up with Calvin's terminals, a screen of another soldier appeared on Calvin's screen.

Before the advancing squad in the street knew it, an armored vehicle came down through a nearby alley to reign hellfire upon the seven soldiers with a heavy caliber machine gun. A ramp extended from the back of the vehicle, and what seemed to be sixteen soldiers came running out to stall the group.

"Shit," the captain said, now pinned down with no way out. "Locke, can you do something about this!? I have more of these bastards in my way!" the captain yelled, almost out of desperation but too determined to let it fully be expressed. Without hesitation, Locke began running towards the edge of the roof and jumped off. He dove and about a third of the way down a glider deployed to slow his fall, retracting back onto a pack on his back, holding a handgun in one hand and his rifle strapped to his chest. As he landed on his knee over the armored vehicle. He looked over to a militant at the base of the vehicle, a bullet hitting his breastplate and getting stuck in there. He fired back at his attacker which fell flat on his back, easily shooting another one behind him as he moved to cover. He reached over to open the cockpit hatch, dropping a grenade in there and then dealing with the oppressors as one by one they turned around to try and stop him, and one by one they would also fall to the ground with holes about a half-inch in diameter were made in their bodies. An explosion sounded from within the armored vehicle, the threat neutralized.

"Goddammit Locke... well done," the captain praised him.
"Yeah, now let's start moving while we can, we don't need another thing like that happening soon. C'mon!" Locke pressed the squad forward. He took lead as the soldiers obediently followed, the captain too trailing behind.

Faye woke groggy and disoriented, head resting back against the seat. She could hear explosions and gunfire but the sounds seemed distant as if they were in a tunnel or something. Fumbling around she found her seat belt and unlatched herself feeling pain along her left side. Looking down she saw a gash along her arm and a blood stain near the pain in her leg which she hoped to god wasn't broken. Everything was coming in clearer now and the gun fire was alot closer than she had originally thought. Faye knew she had to bandage her arm at least then try to get to some cover before she was shot buy a stay bullet. Ripping the sleeves off her jacket, turning it into a vest, she cleaned herself up as much as possible then used the rest to create a bandage for her arm, the leg was going to have to wait.

The streets were heavy with fighting and there was no way that she was going out in the middle of it but her vehicle was tipped on two wheels and leaning against the wall of a building, the window was busted out and there was just enough room for her to slip though and take cover between the vehicle and the wall. Checking to make sure she still had her gun she then grabbed her satchel filled with more rounds, a flash light, her identity card, and some money then used it to break out the rest of the glass so she didn't cut herself on her way though. Straining a bit she pulled herself through and fell to the ground landing on her good side.

Peaking around the front end of the truck she checked her surroundings. The fire fight had moved away from her but that didn't mean the crater filled roads were safe. Upholstering her gun she crouched and looked for some other form of cover to take her down the road maybe find some place where the civilians were being taken out of the war zone or something. She brushed some hair out of her face and made her way to an upturned slab of concrete. Still in a crouch she looked around again for the next spot to hide behind, that's when she saw them. A group of soldiers and a young civilian girl. Faye started to call out then thought the better of it, instead she fished her out her flash light. As a co-captain of her ship her father had taught her Morse code, it wasn't used often anymore but desperate time and all. Aiming the light at the man leading the group she flicked the light on and off sending out an SOS signal and hoped it wasn't bright enough out that the signal wouldn't get washed out.

The man leading them went off to the side to the girl under the rock. The squad kept moving as they were, the sounds of fighting still in the air, but more distant now.

"Hey..." he slid down to his knees, looking at the injured girl before him. He looked from her arms to her legs, seeing the wounds on her. On his armor you could see imprinted in white, a circle with the initials "WC" for Wrenthal Combine, and a bullet stuck in his armor opposite of that. His visor was a tinted green, but if you tried hard enough you could see his face beyond it. The other soldiers passed them, leaving the soldier before Feye and herself behind.

"Listen, we're gonna get you some medical attention soon enough, but right now we have to get off the streets and back with the rest of the unit. Can you walk?" he asked, as he went to put a hand on her shoulder. A looming sense of desolation and abandonment could be found as you looked around the city, up to the crumbling walls of the buildings to the buckled streets, then at the destroyed vehicles, and finally the scattered, dead civilians in the open, he looked down the street in the direction they came from.

Whose next?

Anya shivered. It had been what felt like years, but she and the others had finally managed to get away from the Trythol forces that had kept them imprisoned in the dingy remains of a bar. It wasn't as though they hadn't tried an escape before, but this was the first time the first group out didn't instantly die. Outside of the bar, it was colder than she thought it would be... and that made Anya wish she had some kind of coat.

"A little further," someone behind her whispered. She was so tired, she could barely move any further, but she crawled along behind the others anyway.

"Almost," Someone in front of her hissed. Anya's white blouse was covered in streaks of mud and grime, her pants were ruined and ripped, and her head ached from being starved-- such was the way when you opposed the Trythol forces. She wanted to lie down and rest. If she closed her eyes and rested, she'd feel better later. But she kept moving further and further along, into the dismal, dangerous outside world where she wasn't safe and there wouldn't be regular food.

Why am I leaving the camp again? she thought. Here, there... who cares where she was? No matter where she went, Anya would die.

She still had this deep seated want to live... to live and keep living. She crawled further forward. A little further and she'd be free to live outside of the clutches of the others. A little further... a little further...

She heard gun shots. People were crying out around her. She wasn't sure-- should she keep moving forward or stop moving altogether? There was so much panic. People kept getting gunned down.

The others were moving. But Anya was still. She closed her eyes and rested. Quietly, she sang to herself, preparing to die.

Calvin swore to himself as he moved through the first alleyways near his house. He had been alone but safe. Calvin paused when someone tried to get in contact with him.

"Pizza delivery, How may I help you?" He said as he paused and let a patrol pass him by. He continuously hacked the cameras nearby giving him a heads up on what was going on around him as well as else where in the city. The feed was sent directly into his brain and he had a heads up display that went unseen to others. The glasses he wore would have the same effect but they were merely aesthetic. They served as a backup or spare if it was needed.

"Ah Payson. How are you? It seems that you are still in a tough spot." Calvin paused as he ran passed a body on the ground. He turned to find a young woman singing. Calvin's sense were spread through out the security surveillance network as he watch a group people drawing the attention of the insurgents.

"I've got a group heading east away from your position being chased and gunned down. I also have a civilian with me. Woman." Calving placed his hand softly on the woman's neck as his bio-synthetic computer skin scanned her genetic data and her information sprung up before his eyes, again unseen to others.

Calvin pushed other information away as he looked at the young woman with dirty clothes.

"Anya, we have to go. I'll help you get to someone who can protect you." Calving said to the girl but he left the line open so that Payson could hear. "Payson, there is another one of the armoured vehicles heading your way three blocks down and to the left. You need to cross the street twice over, but .... There are three snipers on those rooftops. First building on the west side, second building, north side, thhirdbuilding southside. They are wiping out those that are entering that alley. Take your pick. The vehicle or the snipers."

"Anya it is time to go," he said as he started to lift her up slowly. He worked his unseen magic. "Payson, patrol of five coming from your immediate left enter the building the on your right, I just unlocked it for you."

Anya could hear someone talking nearby her. So this is it? The end? Do I get killed or will they return me to the bar? She wondered. What the person was saying, she wasn't sure. She was shaking, though. She squeezed her eyes shut.

A hand touched the back of her neck. It was warm and not at all harsh. She didn't feel like she was going to be killed by this person, but then, she hadn't thought people were going to actually kill each other in the first place. This war was brutal, but she imagined all of them were. Anya just hadn't thought that regular people would join up into a group like the Trythol and then torture their fellow man into joining them by withholding food and information. So many of the small resistance Demi-Wrenthal group had been captured and turned to Trythol ideology via this method that Anya had thought it was her fate as well. She would've broken if she hadn't been enticed by freedom.

"Anya, we have to go." She heard. Her eyes shot open and her voice died in her throat.

This person knows my name? She wondered. Not even my stage name. My real name. Why? She knew she didn't have that many fans. The voice was male and Anya had never heard it before, not that she recalled anyway. How did he know who she was? Then her mind chastised her for finding this more important than other things, like why this man hadn't killed her yet. Anya felt a slight sadness that she didn't care if he was there to kill her right now. Her head was pounding anyway. Did it matter why he hadn't killed her? She was alive.

The person was saying other things... snipers, vehicles, she wasn't sure what it was. She recognized it as war talk. "Anya, it is time to go," The person said. She felt the person lifting her up, but she was exhausted. She couldn't put any strength into her legs. What if he left her because she wasn't able to do so? She tried to stand, but like a newly born fawn, was unable to stay upright for long. The starvation on top of the panic of the escape and her fear of this man who just... knew her name was too much. Anya's energy was nearly depleted and just adrenaline kept her awake. Her body sagged heavily against her savior and she licked at her dry lips, before managing to hoarsely respond.

"I can't stand. I'm so tired..." Briefly, she wondered if it was alright to trust this random stranger who knew her. Somewhere within her mind there was a mild protest of her immediate trust in him, but she didn't care. She wanted to live. So even if this man took her back to the dingy bar and only fed her enough to keep her alive, she wouldn't care. She'd be alive... just in hell. Better hell than nothing at all. She thought.

"I can't stand. I'm so tired..." she said finally.

"Well it can't be helped then," Calvin said. "I apologize for the hands. Just let me know if you want them somewhere else." He said as he picked her up. "More information was sent to his cloud server. The shape of her legs and her weight the size of her back. Calving mentally ordered the information away as he moved into a building the door unlocking as he carefully pulled it open and then it locked when it closed. The room was dark but scematics appeared and superimposed the blueprints so thta He could see the room. Calvin bumped into a table. His thoughts caused information of the place to appear. It was a bed and breakfast. He realized he was in teh dining room but as he tried to maneuver using his location and a picture of the brochure it was apparent that they had changed the layout.

"Echo program start," he said softly not wanting to scare the dancer nor get attention from out side. Calvin then snapped and before his his eyes he saw a wave spread from his finger and hit the objects in the room. He quickly stepped forward trying to navigate with the late image before he snapped again. Same effect and he moved all the way to the front door.

"How you holding up there Anya?" Calvin said as he shifted his wait and re-positioned his hands. An image appeared in Calvin's mind's eye. He watched as the soldiers made their decisions. He helped them by opening doors and telling them about the main streets and what to expect."Here we go Anya, I'm going to be running out this door and i really need you not to scream or let go." Here take this visor off and put it on. Ask for any song you want to listen to. It will play it for you. How does that sound?"

Calvin prepared himself but waited for Anya. It was best if she was able to calm down a bit.

"Well, it can't be helped then," The man said. "I apologize for the hands. Just let me know if you want them somewhere else." With that, he picked her up.

At first, Anya was terrified. He was bigger than she was, which she expected, but her most recent memory of being touched by someone she didn't know hadn't ended well. She tensed up, but he was still for a moment. She relaxed after a couple of seconds, but not completely. Who was her savior, anyway...? She wasn't sure, but she wouldn't put it past the Trythol to have men who would take advantage of her in this situation. Still... he wasn't hurting her. Just trust him for now, she told herself.

The man took them into a dark room, which made Anya tense up again, but this time no amount of orders from her mind would stop her heart's overactive beating. He brought me back to the bar? He brought me-- here? He's-- I-- He muttered something and snapped his fingers. Was he... calling the others? She started to struggle in his arms, but he calmly moved them around in the room.

"How you holding up there, Anya?" He asked, re-positioning his hands. She wasn't sure what to say. What if he interrogated her about the others who got away? What if he killed her? "Here we go, Anya, I'm going to be running out this door and I really need you not to scream or let go. Here, take this visor." He placed something on her head. "Ask for any song you want to listen to. It will play it for you. How does that sound?"

Anya shook her head furiously. "...Wh...Who are you?" She whispered. "...Are you with..." She trailed off. She was scared to ask if he was Trythol... he might know her name because of them. "How do you know... my name?"

A telecommunication link was made between Calvin and someone else, someone who appeared as "Lt. Maynard" to Calvin. He could hear sounds of battle from the other end, perhaps down the street or behind some walls. His general information popped up:

Name: Steve Maynard
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Race: Human: American
Occupation: Soldier: Commissioned Officer

A voice spoke from the other end. "Calvin, I'm Lt. Maynard and with the Wrenthal forces, I understand you can assist us, where are you?" he asked. Usually, the military can track the other end, it'd be presumable that they are not at an outpost or base. There were cries for medics that were audible.

As Calvin readied yourself to bust through the door, he could hear voices on the other side of it, most likely Trythol soldiers. They snickered to one another, enjoying their time. Seeing the carnage the Wrenthal forces were dealing with, it could be assumed that they were Trythol forces. The sounds of battle now were not immediately around them, but they could still hear fierce fighting some lengths of distance off. It was time to act.

Where to go now?

"Hey..."the solider said kneeling down in front of her."Listen, we're gonna get you some medical attention soon enough, but right now we have to get off the streets and back with the rest of the unit. Can you walk?" Faye looked up at the solider and sighed with relief. "These are only minor injuries, I am fine to walk. Lets catch up with the rest of your team." she said a faint accent to her voice. She stood slowly and let her gun rest at her side. She could hear more gun fire from the direction of the team, looks like she was going to be fighting her way to safety with the rest of them. "Looks like things are heating up again. You wouldn't happen to have any extra body armor lying about would you? I've got a gun already and I'm a decent shot."

"Not now, we might have some up at the command post. There's gonna be more IC-54's on our asses if we don't move though! C'mon!" he said, pushing the girl along. He came out and away from the slab of concrete, starting to run with her back up to the rest of the group. Even with armor as heavy as his was, he could still move swiftly in it.

"Hey Locke, you alright down there?" Connor asked over the radio line.
"Could you keep an eye behind me? I hear I'm supposed to get Bubba on my behind in a moment," he said.
"Yeah, Dylan! Laura! Come here, we're gonna watch over Locke! The rest of you guys, keep moving! Go go go!" Connor ordered, and the Omega Forces on the rooftops shuffled around, the majority still pressing forward. Dylan moved to set up the AVML (Anti-Vehicle Missile Launcher) up on the roof, which should provide the necessary support for the soldiers down below. A shot was fired from another rooftop, a loud, singular gunshot. Connor fell over, his helmet fell off, but he was still alive.
"Sniper! Laura, shoot 'em down!" he said, lying on the ground.
"I'm on it!" Laura aimed her rifle across the rooftops, placing her shot and began picking off the three snipers that were around them.
"Target coming down the street to the West, firing!" Dylan yelled, launching two missiles between the gap in the buildings. The armored vehicles Calvin spoke of surely was heading towards them, and was nailed by Dylan's rounds. An explosion shattered the street and the walls around it. Connor got up, recovering from the round that hit his head, and he picked up his helmet, replacing it upon his skull. He had looked up to an appalling scene.

In the distance, rotor-wings were seen flying all about, dropping infantry and unleashing hellfire onto any pockets of resistance the Trythians found within the city, or upon random buildings that generated commerce, something that created inequality among people, something that the Equitarians stood against. Above, a large, armed spacecraft marked as a Trythol Flagship, what's most likely carried most of the supplies for the attack, descended unto the docking pylons in the center of the city.

"Ugh... Locke..." Connor said, a bit taken back by the sight of all this.
"What?"
"... Move as fast as you fucking can..."

The sudden fighting had thrown Calvin off at first seeing as how she had been quite still before, but he didn't drop her.

"...Wh...Who are you?" She whispered. "...Are you with..." She went into her head before she spoke again. "How do you know... my name?" Despite all of Calvin's talents he was no mind reader so he could only answer the questions that were complete.

"My name is Calvin Anderson, Miss Foy, and I'm going to get you some place safe, hopefully." he said. "As to how I know your name is a bit tricky to explain. I'm not sure if you have heard of bio-synthetic skin, but I designed my own and my arms and hands are basically super computers. I got your gene code when I first touched you. I have ... given myself access to a quite a bit of information without others knowing."

Calvin got a heads up display of a Steven Maynard.

"Hello Lt. Maynard," Calvin said. He looked to Anya and pointed to the back of his head and mouthed 'implant'. "Yeah I can help you out Lt. Maynard. I can feed you intel and make sure you can obtain shelter in the buildings if you need them. As to our whereabouts Miss Foy and I are about fifteen blocks east of your position.

He paused as he could hear the sounds of voices on the other side. By accessing the camera's in the main road he was able to see them. There were five of them and they seemed to be casually patrolling the street. The sensors could read the stress and tension in Anya's body, so he tried to silently assure her everything was going to be alright.

"Listen Lt. Maynard we have a little problem. There is a force trying to flank you right now and that force is between you and us." Calvin stated as he looked at the twenty so men who seemed to be trying to move quick and silently. "We have a problem of our own but there is a factory building about 5 blocks to the west. There are two smaller forces, one is by the building already scouting out inside, the other seems to be heading there but at slow pace. The first group looks like it is finishing up. It will be a tight squeeze but if you can hold up there, We can get to you.

The computer processed fast enough that it had a identified the threat. "There is a sniper on your six, he hasn't noticed you but if he calls in back up then things will get a lot tougher."

"Anya Foy," Calvin said in a whisper. "I'm going to get you to the Wrenthal Forces and they will take care of you, but I would appreciate no further loud remarks and especially no fighting me." Calvin set her down seeing the group had stopped just outside the door. "We have some unwanted guests outside this door and I'm going to try distract them so we can get closer to a group of Wrenthal soldiers. I -" Calvin pauses as he notices for the first time how dirty the girl had become and reached slowly into his bag and pulled out a towel. "Wipe yourself a bit. That grime doesn't suit you."

Calvin seemed to be spaced out as he looked at the door, but was actually deciding how to get the small group of Trythal forces further away.

His name was Calvin Anderson. Anya was happy that he answered her questions, she felt infinitely safer. She was kind of scared to leave him, though. Calvin seemed like he knew what he was doing. Maybe it was because he saved her in such a dismal time and he wasn't trying to kill her.

"Anya Foy, I'm going to get you to the Wrenthal Force and they will take care of you, but I would appreciate no further loud remarks and especially no fighting me." Calvin said in a whisper. He put her down and she leaned against a wall to keep standing.

She nodded. She could do that, at the very least. Calvin wasn't with the Trythol, which meant he was a good guy... at least, as far as Anya knew, anyway. But, would he just leave her at the base with the Wrenthal? She didn't want that. Anya felt a kind of despair imagining he'd leave her behind and disappear into the battlefield and die. If he was gone, then she could die. No, she probably would die, because no one else cared about what happened to her. Briefly, she toyed with the idea of fighting him, but she pushed those thoughts aside. That would help neither of us, she thought.

"We have some unwanted guests outside this door and I'm going to try distract them so we can get closer to a group of Wrenthal soldiers. I -" Calvin paused and gave her a once over. Anya fidgeted nervously.

Is there something on my face? She wondered, before realizing how dirty she was. Before she could say anything, Calvin handed her a towel.

"Wipe yourself a bit. That grime doesn't suit you."

Anya reached out for the towel, watching as Calvin began spacing out. Was he using his computers to find something...? She wasn't sure. She'd never been too good with computers or science related things, but apparently this man was good with them. He even had some kind of implant that let him talk to people who weren't around-- she knew of those, but didn't have one. Wiping her face, Anya murmured a soft thank you.

She wished she could be more useful. Calvin wouldn't have had to save her if she was useful...

"Listen, you better haul ass over here, we're going to have to-" the line between Lt. Maynard and Calvin was being broken up by static. Soon enough, all connections between Calvin and the Wrenthal forces were cut off, and he had a hard time himself using his own electronic equipment.

"Alright, well the TCS Ultimatum should be docking in the city now. We'll be securing the city soon enough," they could hear a man say. Had the Wrenthal forces already failed? Was the end supposed to be like this?

"I'll check this room," another one declared. Before them, the door handle began to turn and the entrance was opening. Behind them, they could hear a thunderous engine and the tracks of a vehicle on the city streets as a tank passed by, and a resurgence of gunfire maybe a block or closer away. There was rebellious shouting too.
