New Kids in the House

New Kids in the House

0 INK

7 teenagers with supernatural abilities are wrongly locked in a group home called 'Lyle House'. Little do they know that the staff intends to keep them there.

750 readers have visited New Kids in the House since Forensic_Anthro created it.

Introduction

This is based off of The Summoning, The Awakening, and The Reckoning by Kelly Armstrong, I just thought it was a totally amazing trilogy, and wanted to make a role play about it. If you have already read the books, then you'll understand much better, but I'll try to explain the situation as well as possible.

Basically, here's the idea:

Your character is at Lyle House because they are... Special. They have unexplained powers which people 'diagnose' as schizophrenia or something. Labels. Bleh.

Lyle House is a group home for disturbed kids (AKA 'crazies'), they're given medication to make them, 'better' and they basically go on with life, 'normally', some of these kids leave and never find out they actually aren't crazy, but what if they find out about their powers and actually work with them? And what if Lyle House isn't as innocent as you think it is?

At Lyle House you get breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a specific schedule. the girl's rooms are separated from the boys rooms and you basically get home schooled with a bunch of other kids.

Lyle House is actually a group of people knowing about these kid's supernatural abilities, and some of the kids who aren't getting 'better', are shipped off and never seen again. The group finally decides after discussing and discovering they aren't crazy kids, (Yay) that this has to stop. They run away, but the government is hunting them, since they don't want their little Supernatural toys out on the streets. So basically right now the kids are on the run and trying to avoid getting killed/captured and they're out in search of someone who can help them, who might just be just like them.

Ori let go of the fox, but it climbed onto her shoulder and licked her cheek. She smiled. "I was meditating in the forest..." She said sitting down, she was really good with animals. She pet the fox and watched it yip a bit and jumped over to her other shoulder seeming to have fun. "Can we bring him with us Canon?" She said looking at Canon, she wanted to keep the fox. And the fox seemed to be pretty tame around her. Most animals were. "Animals most of the time come near me when I'm completely calm, because I don't mean them any harm." She pet the small fox and noticed it's foot was injured. She ripped part of her shirt letting the fox jump into her lap before she wrapped it for the small furry animal.

Danielle woke up feeling cold. She was curled up in a corner next to the firplace. The last she remembered, there was a fire. When she looked at it now, there was only burned logs. She looked at it closely. The logs weren't just burned, they were blasted with something. She looked at her hands.

"Did I do that?" she asked herself aloud.

She looked around to see if there was anyone else in the room. It was cold and empty. She got up and wrapped her arms around herself. The house was quiet. She walked outside to look for Canon who she remembered had gone outside. When she found him, he was with Ori and Pandora.

"Hi guys." she said with a small smile.

She was still tired, but she didn't want to go back to sleep in fear that she would do more than just extinguish a fire. The air outside was cold, but everyone with common sense would know that. She looked at the three in front of her and waited to see if they would respond.

Deirdre heard yapping outside and glanced at Kaylee for a moment, "Just know if anythings bothering you...you can talk to me." The girl normally wouldn't put that offer up, because some people annoyed her, but she figured she might as well be nice since she was stuck with these people.
Deirdre walked out of the room and downstairs, calmly, noting the fire had been exstinguished, she would have frowned if she hadn't been already, so she made her way outside, noting it was rather cold, so she zipped her Avenged Sevenfold hoodie a little more before just studying the group. The young Necromancer didn't know how long she would be stuck with these people...but she didn't want to go invade their little...group, she stood a litte ways away, her emerald eyes fixed on them, her favorite time was now, night...Her pale skin looked almost totally white in the moonlight, her long wavy raven black hair blew lightly in the soft night breeze.

Kaylee nodded gratefully to Deirdre, "You could go see him, you know? He just couldn't see you."

As Dei signaled the end of the conversation by leaving, Kaylee got up and went downstairs, digging into her lime green backpack for her iPod, which she had charged a few days ago at the last place with power they had been to. Seeing the battery life symbol flicker between green and yellow, she sighed, plugging her headphones in and sorting through her music. After a moment she settled on "Jumpin' All Over The World" by Scooter and a familiar happy feeling spread through her body.

"Encore! Hardcore! Rock you down to the floor!" Kaylee sank back into the perfect world that is music and gleefully danced down the stairs and outside, dancing jumpstyle once she was out.

Singing loudly and joyfully, she twirled around, bouncing from step to step gracefully with each beat. Kaylee really wasn't much of a graceful person, so it was rather odd for anyone who knew her to see the smooth bounce with every movement in the dance. As the song ended, Kaylee did one last twirl, reaching behind her with her right leg as she did so. As her foot caught on a bush Kaylee squeaked loudly, falling face-first into the dirt.

"Bleh. Okay... Need more music." she trailed off as she tapped frantically at her iPod's touch-screen.

After a silent moment, Kaylee bounced to her feet, grimacing from sudden soreness. However, a grin replaced the foul expression as "I Can Walk On Water, I Can Fly" by Basshunter began playing loudly from her headphones, spurring the suddenly cheerful girl to begin singing once more.

Pandora's eyes nearly shut with Canon's voice: who knows how long this will last, eh? He was right. How long could they continue running? Sooner or later they were going to be caught, or they'd have to strike back—they'd have to do something, and leaving the country would prove nearly impossible. Biting the side of her cheek, her dark eyes opened again and she leaned her head back, sighing warily. The breeze comforted her and she found herself starring up at the sky through lidded eyes, trailing the little dipper before glancing back towards Canon. “How long will we want to—...” This was when she smelt Ori, plodding quietly against the grass with an adorable fox cub cradled in her arms. She always liked Ori, they got along and she seemed like the only girl that could find joy in anything. Pandora couldn't help but smiled, winking up at her. Like Canon, the fox didn't seem to react very well with her, squirming this way and that and yipping ruefully at them. “Foxes, too, huh?” It was quiet whisper. It seemed like she'd never really have a dog—big dogs seemed to want to tear her apart, and little dogs cowered. They weren't normal.

“You're like Snow White.” Pandora laughed, sitting up straight in the lawn chair. Apparently, the fox kit had taken a liking to Ori—as it licked her cheek, ignoring the other two intruders, namely her and Canon. She took a deep breath before leaning her elbow on the arm of the chair, scratching the top of her hand while staring at the fox. “As long as it doesn't kill us in the middle of the night,” She responded, shrugging her shoulders. “And that's one more little mouth to feed.” She scratched the back of her neck, arching her eyebrows towards the house they were inhabiting for the night. With the lights off, it just looked like it was abandoned—certainly, no one would think a bunch of kids were sleeping there. “What're Dei and Kay doing?”

Canon smiled at Ori, racking his brain to try and find a suitable answer for her. Before he could, Pandora answered for him. "I'll have to agree with Pandora on this one, Ori. Your friend needs food too, which means more work for us getting some." He looked at Ori, slightly saddened by disappointing her. "Besides that, what about the fox's family? Wouldn't you want it to be happy around its parents?" He didn't know too much about animals, other than wolves. After realizing what he was, he studied wolves for a while, trying to figure out what he was like when he Turned. His memory is always empty when he wakes up from it, even though he's sure he has control of most of the beast. The last time he changed, he remembered a small bit of information. He could see where he went in his mind, but he couldn't fit the picture with a location.

Glancing at Pandora, he had a solemn expression on his face. He lightened up again when he turned to Ori. "Sorry, but I don't think it would be the best idea to take him with us," Canon told her quietly. Suddenly, he raised his hand, indicating for everyone to stay still. The wind changed direction, coming toward the small group now. "Sorry, I smell someone else." He focused on the smell, trying to figure out who it was. He turned to where he found the scent strongest, and finally picked up who it was. "Hey Dei, you can join us, you know," Canon said calmly, an amused expression on his face. "I'm not a Werewolf yet, so I won't eat you." He turned to look at Pandora. "I don't know about Pandora though," he joked. "She looks pretty vicious right now!" He laughed, trying to light up the mood once more.

Ori nodded, she knew if she did bring the fox it would most likely look for it's own food. (I want the fox...) She put the fox down, but it didn't go anywhere. It sat down at the base of Ori's feet and looked at her not wanting to go. It's family had been killed by hunters, and it already seemed really attached to Orihana. "I'm not a snow white. Snow white doesn't know how to fight and she's a weak little princess." She made a slight face, she disliked fairy tails. Because she knew they weren't real. "Hey, do you think those people at Lyle's house would follow us if we went overseas?" She asked looking at her friends. The fox jumped onto her head. "Foxes are scavengers they would eat what we don't or chase down a squirrel." She made her argument knowing the fox wanted to stay.

The fox looked at Dei and seemed to smile. Ori looked at the house not seeing the glow of the fire anymore. "Want me to go relight the fire?" She asked a bit absently her hair falling into her eyes, as well as a fox paw. She smiled softly and reached up petting behind the foxes ear. From the way the fox was acting it already seemed used to human contact. So she had to guess it had come into contact with them quite a lot.

"Overseas..." Canon thought about the suggestion. "We could try, I guess. The problem would be getting there. I doubt they'd have alliances in smaller places over there, so we could try, but I can't promise anything." He thought some more about the idea. It was better than staying around here, anyway. Lyle House was sure to find them soon. It's not easy trying to hide eight teenagers with special 'talents,' as he'd like to call them, anywhere at all. Someone is bound to notice something wrong soon enough. When 'soon enough' is was now his question. Lyle House is skilled at keeping things secret, so they must be quite skilled at keeping the secrets hidden and contained also. Running was their only option, as it has been for the past while. Well, he thought to himself, Enough of the sad stuff.

Getting back to her first point, Canon smiled a sympathetic smile, looking at the fox on Ori's head. "Alright," he said, acting like the leader of the group for no good reason. "It may not be the best decision ever, and I'm more than likely going to regret this, but I'm going to try this anyway. All in favor of Ori keeping her fox, with some conditions involved, Say I. Those opposed say Nay." He waited for the group's response patiently, wondering what the vote will end up being.

Deirdre's expression only barely changed when Canon offered for her to join the group, "Sorry, but I'm not afraid of Werewolves." She told him before looking at the forest which the fox had come from. A lot of people might be a little too creeped out to go wandering around in a forest alone but Deirdre wasn't...though she was also the kid who thought it would be a good idea to go play in a cemetery. She finally decided to go into the forest, but not before she saw Kaylee fall, she noted the other girl was alright, so Deirdre just walked over to the dark forest, resting her hand on the first tree trunk, her emerald eyes lingering on what lay ahead for a moment before going on a head.

After a moment no one could probably see Deirdre. She ended up winding through the trees, more happy than she was before, the sound of the wind brushing through the leaves had calmed her, but that feeling didn't last long...
A flick of movement caught her eye, making her jump slightly, what she saw made her want to scream, but the young Necromancer didn't utter a sound, she just stood in shock.
A man, probably middle-aged had multiple gunshot wounds, he fell to his knees as what looked like three or four police officers opened fire once more on him.
Deirdre finally got a hold of herself and started running farther into the woods, not remembering she would be farther away from the group as well as the scene.

“Alright, a Snow White who can kick butt.” Pandora corrected, nodding her head. Orihana wasn't anything like the weak girl on the TV screen who waited for her dotting Prince—no, she was the opposite. She knew that if things got tough, she could always look to her for support because she was ready. Not to mention the fact that she could light people on fire. Sometimes, she thought the others had superior powers than hers, because she couldn't completely control it yet. For now it only went as far as crouching in the undergrowth, heaving her guts out until she half-changed and fell exhausted. Truthfully, she only had Canon for guidance and even he had trouble controlling the change. However, the only advantage she had over her changes is that she remembered everything and it seemed like she stepped into another body—completely aware of those around her, which suited her fine. She knew that Canon had troubles controlling himself when he changed. It worried her.

Pandora was silenced when Canon raised his hand, indicating that he smelt something. In turn, she sniffed the air with as much dignity as she could manage and faintly caught their friends scent: Deidre. Her tense shoulders sagged when she realized who it was and she looked around, with a small smile dancing across her lips. For a moment, she'd been thinking the worst. The Lyle house always came to mind whenever she felt paranoid, as if they were watching them from the darkness. That's stupid to think that, we could smell them. “Got bored?” Pandora queried, shrugging her shoulders before feigning an evil look that just came off as silly. Sometimes it was hard to believe she was a werewolf. As far as she knew, there weren't many who were female and it made her feel even more alone.

Even as Ori set the fox kit down on the ground, it seemed to stay at her side—unwilling to part from its' new friend and Pandora felt torn. She didn't want to repeat herself and the fox truly didn't seem like it wanted to leave. Overseas. The thought hadn't ever crossed her mind because she thought it would've been impossible because of border policies and papers. The only possible solution would be to find an illegal boat to cross over—with whatever shady characters they could find, and they would be home free. Well, technically, they didn't have anywhere to call home anymore. As far as they were concerned, the little ragtag dysfunctional family they'd created served as their homes. “Overseas.” She mouthed, leaning heavily on her elbow. “Sooner rather than later, if we can find a way across. We can't draw any attention to ourselves.”

Dark eyes caught sight of the playful little creature atop Ori's head and her infamous heartstrings were pulled—Pandora always wore her heart on her sleeve, because of the way she was raised. She was still guarded when it came to certain things but she trusted everyone in the group with her life. Biting her lip indecisively, she turned in her seat and faced her friends, leaning her face into her cupped hands. “I,” came a reluctant response, then a cheeky grin erupted on her face. “I can't say no to a face like that. Besides, Ori can take care of it and it'll add a little more joy to our troupe.” Snuffling the air in the direction Deidre had gone, she nearly scrambled out of the chair and looked to Canon, then to Ori. "Sh-She's going too far!"

Canon mimicked Pandora as soon as she jumped in her chair. Sniffing the air once more, he realized she was right. Dei was going way too far from the house's boarders. "dammit, come on!" he exclaimed, noting that they were all in danger if she kept on going. "Pandora, take left," he said calmly as he went toward the woods, pointing a few paces to the left of him. "Ori, stay between us. We need to get her before she gets too far, but stay in sight of each other." He started through the woods, winding his way around bushes, fallen branches, and other debris scattered along the forest floor. Every few steps, he'd look to Pandora, keeping track of every step they took. They were in unison going through the forest, left foot with left foot, right with right, staying as silent as possible as to not scare Dei, or alert anyone that was out there.

As they got closer to the scent of Deidre, Canon called softly to Pandora. "There's another smell here. It's blood. I don't know if it's hers or not." He kept on forward, more cautious than a moment ago, hoping and praying it wasn't Deidre's blood he smelled. "Pan, Ori, stay close. I'm feeling pretty bad about this one." Within the next 45 seconds he found the cause of the extra scent. Snapping his fingers to alert Pandora and Orihana, Canon hid behind a large tree he found, less than fifteen feet away from the fallen man and the two police officers surrounding his body. Holding his breath, he made it over to Ori. Pandora was only five steps left of her, behind another tree. He motioned for them to kneel down and stay silent. This was their first encounter with other people, dangerous people, since they escaped. Had the police come for them? He couldn't say. All he knew is that he had to get another lock on Deidre's scent and find her, before the police followed her tracks. His heart was racing, to the point where he expected it to burst through his chest. His hands tightened into fists, probably from the stress and overwhelming desire to run from the scene. When his teeth started chattering and his jaw began to tighten, he realized it wasn't from the stress. The Wolf was trying to emerge again.

Why now, not now, please, goddamn you, just wait until we find Dei! He was screaming at himself in his mind, trying to force himself to stay sane. His fingers stretched to their limit, and he felt the bones shifting. His nails grew rapidly, almost as if it was a fast-forward of an evolving nail. Once they got past the tip of his finger, they thickened, turning a sickly grey-black color. He stifled a grunt of pain, and willed himself to stop Changing. It was harder than the last Change before Pandora found him, fiercer. He took out his knees from underneath him, and sat down, his back to the tree. He looked at Ori, who was now kneeling directly beside him. Doing the best he could to whisper, he leaned toward her ear. "Go over next to Pandora," he said shakily. Glancing around the tree with squinted eyes, he saw the police still observing the downed man. They were calling someone on the receiver one of the policemen had. Most likely backup.

Resting his head once again on the tree, he turned until he was facing Pandora and Orihana. "Go around here and find Deidre," he said quietly, feebly pointing out a way to get past the police. "I'll follow in a minute." He panted, choking silent some gasps. As his mouth opened, you could see his Canines enlarging as he spoke. His left foot twitched, sending a shiver up his leg. He stood up weakly, leaning on the thick bark, holding his hands together. His entire body seemed to vibrate. Staring intently at Pandora and Ori, he made it clear he wanted them to find Deidre.

The sound of the gunshots still echoed in her mind...What the hell was going on there? Deirdre finally slowed, breathing hard, she ran a lot...but not that far, that fast. What was that sound behind her...something else moving? Fear overcame her and she spun around, heart beating rapidly...all she could imagine was the corpse of the suspect the police had shot...

A ways behind Deirdre, the spirit was returned to the body of the murdered suspect, the body came 'alive', the ghost inside the corpse shrieking. The body started running, the cops firing over and over again at the corpse, but they only managed to make more gunshot wounds...the body wasn't stopping. It was running in the direction of the young Necromancer whom had accidentally brought it back as a zombie, cops swore and shouted, continuing to fire.

Orihana jumped into a tree from where she sat beside Pandora looking around for Dei. The fox was on her shoulder and nipped ori's ear to grab her attention. She saw the moving corpse and she turned pale, definitely Dei's doing. She frowned a bit and looked around for Dei again, she looked back to Canon hoping he would be okay, she was originally from japan and she always carried her passport with her. But she knew the others most likely did not have this. She moved a bit in the tree soon seeing Dei, having a hard time because of her black clothing. She motioned towards Pandora and Canon towards Dei with a smile, she loved sitting in trees because she always had a better look of any situation. She jumped out of the tree back beside Pandora. "I'll go retrieve the princess." She said making her way over to Dei now standing beside her. "Dei-Dei it's time to book it, it's not safe here anymore..." Her voice was a soft whisper but absolutely calm, the fox on her shoulder looked at Dei calm as day then looked toward the site of the walking corpse and the men in uniform. "I'll make you some tea when we get somewhere safe. It'll help you calm down okay? I'll make everyone tea..." She smiled softly.

Anticipation prickled across her itching skin, Pandora fought the urge to run blindly after Deidre and nodded when Canon gave her direction. As soon as he stopped talking, Pandora took off towards the left flank—nearly lopping as she jumped clear over obstacles, and made sure to look to her sides to make sure she wasn't bypassing her friends. Silently winding around fallen trees, stumps and snagging branches, she paid no attention to anything whipping across her face or tugging at her hair. They needed to get to Deidre as quickly as possible and make sure she was safe. Being a necromancer with heightened abilities, they didn't know when her powers would accidentally activate. Even without the Lyle House tailing them, they needed to be careful where they were. Bodies could be anywhere, and pose as problems both to their supernatural world and humans alike.

“I smell it!' Pandora called back, sniffing the air as she ran. Already, sweat clung to the back of her neck and she knew it wasn't just from running. She'd tried her best to get out of everyones' hair when she was experiencing her changes, even Canon's, and sloughed off her pain as to not worry anyone—but she couldn't help but run headlong through the woods, vaulting off of debris before catching her feet again. Right now wasn't a good time. Slowing down to a cautious jog, the next scent caught her nose and she crinkled it in response. Not good. Nimbly hiding behind a fallen tree, she gestured for Ori to come up beside her unless she'd found her own hiding spot. She could smell the lead belonging to the police officers weapons and looked towards Canon and Ori, confusion dancing in her dark eyes. Who found them? Itching her arm without abandon, another familiar scent drifted to her nose and she stared at the ground, then where her friends were squatted. Canon. She began mouthing something before she swung her head towards the police officers, ducking her head lower and muttering something under her breath.

“Don't move.” Pandora mouthed towards Canon, a clear warning that she didn't want him running around in his Changed state. Anyone totting guns catching sight of a wolf after seeing a fallen man would assumed the worst—and kill it, werewolves weren't invincible to bullets. Hopefully the tree would provide enough cover for him to Change, and if not, she'd think of something. Looking up from her spot behind the fallen tree, she caught sight of a bewildered Deidre running a few yards ahead of the policemen. Waving her hand in the direction of Deidre, she mouthed for Ori to follow her while she circled around the policemen, picking her way carefully. This was when she stumbled into a run, heading towards Deidre until she caught up to her. Panting, she caught hold of Deidre's hand and pulled her behind another tree. “S-Send him back, Dei. He's coming!”

His shaking becoming more and more violent, Canon looked at Pandora, panic in his eyes. He nodded to her, trying to convince her he was alright. With his hands vibrating in front of him, he fell forward, his back arching to an unfathomable angle, the bones realigning themselves. His jaw went slack and pushed itself frontward, stretching and cutting his skin. By this point his vocal chords were changing, so he was free from trying to muffle his scream. Temporarily mute with a ringing in his ears, he glanced over to Pandora's direction. They had Deidre, thank God. He risked himself being caught by looking past the tree. The policemen looked paralyzed by what they just saw. Obviously they weren't used to the Supernatural side of things. He fell back behind the tree, his spine stretching and reshaping. His feet elongated to a point where the shoes he had on were ripping. With his last remaining energy, he took off his shoes and placed them by the base of the tree. His ears shifted, his jaw locked, and his eyes closed. When he opened them again, he was no longer Canon. He was a werewolf.

The thing's shaggy, grey-and-white fur ruffled, settling down to a half-normal position. He was cutting it close to the edge of the tree. Hopefully the men didn't hear anything. If they did, well, Canon would be like the Zombie, only still. Canon fought to maintain control over his body, fighting with his literal inner demon for possession of his mind. So far, so good. He inched his way back toward the house as silently as his body would handle. Stop, go, stop, go. His mind fought within itself, wandering between hunger for blood and will to protect the group. Making it back to the house, he made his way around to the door to the basement he found earlier. Still slightly sane, he broke open the door with his massive, wolf-like head. Once he got in, he toppled over anything he could find to barricade the broken door. He lay down on the floor, weak from fighting with himself, and let the beast take over. A howl echoed throughout the room, and the Real Canon hoped everyone upstairs would be okay.

"You think I can't tell?" A panicked Deirdre demanded, her voice hitting a high note, she spun and looked at Pandora, "Send him back?" The girl looked horribly over-whelmed. "I would if I fucking knew how to!" She said as the zombie approached, covered in gunshot wounds and scratches from trees, it was a rather gruesome sight for anyone.
Deirdre was frozen in place as the zombie tilted it's head, halting. It seemed like it was trying to speak but only gibberish came out for this one...usually they could talk. It began advancing on them again.

Ori tensed as did the little fox. She looked back over to where Canon was and tensed even more and looked at Pandora and Dei. "guys, we really have to go like right no mister furry is gonna have his fury in a minuet or two." She mumbled trying not to be sarcastic or anything but she knew the werewolves of the group didn't have the best of control when it came to this side of them. She could probably distract Canon with a little bit of fire-play, but she also didn't want to burn him by accident. Her brown hair fell in her face as she planned a route back to the little safe house they had in her head and she took off running purposely being loud to catch Canon's attention. She didn't want anymore bloodshed, even if it was the officers that might get hurt. She stepped on a large stick making it snap loudly, she was a fast runner due to her demonic side but she didn't know if she could outrun a cute but very vicious werewolf. Yes, she thought werewolves were cute, she thought everything with fur was cute, with a few Exceptions. She held the fox in her arms as she ran, and the only thing she was actually afraid of was, reptiles insects and spiders!!

(Ori is so much like me when it comes to likes and fears XD )

Kaylee paused her music as talking passed by her, barely audible over the blaring techno. Recognizing one of the voices as Canon's she frowned, wondering what was going on.

"Canon? Dei? Ori? Pan? Dani?" She listed off the names of the others in their little group and upon receiving no response, she sighed, "They're probably going out to explore or something." She was still nervous and slightly upset about being left behind, but she tried to calm herself before anything started flying.

After a couple of minutes of silence, Kaylee turned her iPod back on, holding it gingerly in her hands for a moment before she dropped it, startled, the weight of it dragging her headphones from her ears. Someone had grabbed onto her arm! Trying to pull free, Kaylee screamed, hoping to alert the others to stay away. When she whipped her head around to see who was holding her, she squeaked, the scream caught in her throat. Squeezing her arm tightly with his cold, bony hands was none other than one of the 'doctors' from Lyle House. Seeing him grin wickedly and reach into his pocket with his other hand Kaylee flailed, trying to hit him with her free hand.

"Let go! Don't take me back there!" Kaylee was about to scream again, but before she could, she felt a sharp, searing pain in the back of her head and the cry died in her throat as she fell to the ground, unconscious beside her iPod, the screen dimmed and now dirty from it's fall. If one were to clean the screen and light it back up, they would see "Pyromania" by Cascada had been playing before the musical device had been dropped, the headphones unplugging just enough to pause it.

Deirdre heard a scream off in the distance and then immediately took off running, giving the others little thought, noting that she could hear several footsteps heading in the same direction, what she didn't know was that the zombie was following her...
After a minute, she made her way back to the side of the house, trying not to fall down from the hard run, she half-ran into one of the 'doctors' from Lyle House and...Kaylee...
She narrowed her emerald eyes and then finally noted the zombie was there as it moved in toward her.

“I-I'm sorry, I just... its' gotta go back.” Pandora spluttered, shifting so that her back was pressed firmly against the tree. The bark felt good against her heated skin. She looked at Deidre then towards the shambling zombie that neared them, stumbling over itself only to freeze in front of them. Her voice caught in her throat and she caught hold of Deidre's shoulders, only to stand in front of her, slightly off to the side but ready in case the zombie decided to try and clamber onto the necromancer. “Uh... uh... think at it! I mean, talk to it!” She couldn't help but tense her shoulders, ready to slam the creature onto the ground if it got any closer. And damn the thing, it wouldn't stop moving. They had to send the spirit back before the policemen decided to look any closer.

Another strangled cry caught her ears, which nearly twitched and Pandora slammed her fist against the tree, ignoring the twitching pain in her fingers as they spasmed. Kaylee was out here, too? The second scent that caught her nose was something much more frightening—one of the doctors belonging to the Lyle House, she could smell the sickly sweet smell of anesthesia from miles away. “They're here.” She mouthed, a quiet sound resonating in her throat that sounded more like a whimper. If people from the Lyle House were here, they didn't have time to think and they just needed to run. What about Kaylee? Watching Deidre scramble out into the clearing, running towards the direction of Kaylee, she called out to her but knew she wouldn't stop running. It was all she could do to catch her legs and throw herself into another mad run, not paying any attention towards the shouts of protest that trialled after them or the sickly gurgles coming from the zombie.

Upon seeing Deidre running towards two vague silhouettes, and the shambling corpse—she readied herself for the second most stupid thing she was going to do. Pandora lurched forward, throwing her arms wide while tackling the corpse and tried her best to hold the creature down while it clawed blindly around him. “Deidre!” All she could keep thinking was: were screwed, were screwed.

The creature half-locked in the basement of the old house was clawing its say through a part of the concrete wall next to the barricaded door when Canon fought back his consciousness. The scream he heard from Pandora above him jolted him awake. He dragged the debris away from the door and sprinted around the side of the house, looking at the scene through a haze, as if in a dream. The only difference was he was awake. Pandora was on the ground, the zombified man struggling beneath her, clawing her arms, trying to bite anything he could reach. Just beyond her, Dei was still as a corpse in front of one of the Lyle House doctors, who had an unconscious Kaylee in his arms. Through shear determination, he raced over to Pandora, throwing her a bit too harshly off the zombie, who was still struggling. The Werewolf-Canon bent down, biting the neck of the zombie and clamping his teeth into the undead flesh. HE thrashed it back and forth as if it was a frisbee for a Sheepdog. Soon enough, the body left the head, landing in a heap on the ground beneath his feet. He spit the bloody, disgusting head out of his mouth and glanced down at the corpse. It was still twitching, but it was no longer active, thank god. Letting out a huge, growly breath, he looked at the Lyle House doctor who had Kaylee. He was bony and pale, his hands riddled with Veins, as if they were a spiderweb. He let out a howl and knocked Kaylee out of the doctor's arms, pouncing on the man as hard as he could manage. They flew into the house ten feet or more before finally skidding to a halt next to a couch. Canon started clawing and biting at the doctor with as much force he could muster. The man beneath him fought back, kicking with his feet. The doctor pulled out a knife, stabbing Canon in his right shoulder three times. Canon shook it off, the blade not doing much damage to his massive frame. Taking the knife, and the man's hand, with his teeth, he ripped the blade away and spat it out, sending it soaring across the room.

Out of nowhere, the doctor grinned, and Canon's left arm went limp. An anesthetic. He shook his head, trying to wear off the effects of the 'poison' as much as he could. HE gave the doctor one last heavy, deep bite into his shoulder, which made the man scream. The bone was crushed, possibly permanently. Soon after, his entire left side felt like it was a dead weight, and he was unable to move it. He inched himself over beside the couch and lay down, hoping Pandora or Dei could finish off the rest of the doctor, and also the zombie.

The zombie was still animated, it's soul still remaining in it's body, it flailed madly and ran at Canon...It wouldn't stop until Deirdre called it off, so long as at least a little of it's body remained it would still be 'alive'.
Deirdre was in a panic, trying to figure out how exactly she could make it stop, and what to do about Kaylee.

(Sorry I haven't posted in a while.)

Dani stood outside where the others had been before they ran in after Dei. If she went too, it would only be another person in the way. After a while, Kaylee screamed from inside the house. Since none of the others were there at the moment, Dani ran in to go help. It didn't take long before the others got in there too and Canon killed the doctor who had attacked Kaylee. Dani left the room where all the others were and walked back into the room with the fireplace. She stared at the fireplace for a moment and then in a moment of anger, she threw a ball the size of a basketball, into the fireplace. The logs blasted into pieces.

"Why am I so useless?" she yelled out loud.

Since the whole thing started, she hadn't done anything but piss others off. She couldn't do anything but use her anger to cause damage to things when she didn't mean to.

Pandora clung desperately to the shambling corpse beneath her, feeling ragged fingers scratch her arms—disgusting nails railing against her forearms as she buried her face against the zombies' back and fought to keep from screaming. Deidre, do something! Her mind wailed. Everything in her body screeched at her to let go of the rotting body beneath her, just let go and run away. It was the determined little girl inside of her that made her cling onto it for dear life: These are your friends, these are your friends. Protect them! It was all she could do to keep her hands away from the zombies' mouth, which clacked together sickly, the smell of rot filled her nose and then she was sailing through the air. The world felt like it froze in place as she flew, hands clutching air and her mouth opening to breath. Her lungs felt empty. Her eyes bleary from water—or tears, something, she couldn't tell. With the wind knocked out of her, she fell harshly onto the ground and rolled, until she laid flat on her back. She felt lightheaded and nauseous, her groping fingers gripped the grass, and she dug her fingers into the soft soil. Pandora's vision faded, blurring and all she could hear were muffled voices—shouts and screams, the sound of ripping. Finally, she heaved in a heart wracking breath that shook her, it'd felt like she'd been holding it the entire time. What the hell happened? She was on the ground now, and all she remembered was fur, something large throwing her off the corpse. Canon? Slumping her head to the side, she caught sight of Deidre holding Kailee in her lap, and the doctor grinning maniacally over Canon, holding a syringe in his hand. Where was Dani? Dani could help them.

She felt useless on the ground, a tingling sensation crawling up her back as she struggled to remain conscious. It was all she could do to roll onto her belly, and push herself up on her hands and knees. Struggling to her feet, she swayed and took a few stumbling steps forward before crying out something incorrigible. Deidre needed to focus on the corpse, she was the only one that could send it back. And she needed to trust herself. While the doctor was distracted with Canon, who lied limp next to the couch, Pandora stepped through the wreckage and grabbed the fallen knife. It might have been because she was barely holding onto herself, or it might have been because she had no choice—but she screamed, throwing herself at the doctor before stabbing him in the stomach. Tears welled at the corners of her eyes and she fell backwards, holding the bloody knife in her hands. It ran hot down her hands, and she didn't have the energy to wipe it off. The doctor was dead. Canon and Kailee were hurt, the corpse was still alive—albeit, in a very damaged state, and where was Dani?

“Dani... Dani!” She called, slumping onto her back. “The body...”

((Cue in Dani to fry the corpse. Or Deidre to send him back. Now that I think about it, a flaming corpse might not be a good idea.))

Weakly, the half-conscious Canon looked up, lifting his head as much as he could. The doctor had something in his hand. What, exactly, he couldn't tell. But he could guess. Realizing the doctor was there to kill him, Canon raised his head in defiance, staring intently into the doctor's eyes. Through blurred vision, he saw a figure run out of nowhere towards the doctor towering above him. His blood was dripping on Canon's face and it felt warm. The blood suddenly stopped, and he looked around, his eyes being the only movement. The man was still, with what looked like a knife wound to his stomach. Painfully, Canon turned his head to look at the assailant. Pandora. She looked dazed and weak, probably from the hit he gave her earlier. He tried to say 'I'm sorry' to her, but all that came out was a muffled growl. He slumped his head against the couch, giving up on moving. Near the firepit, he heard an angry scream. It sounded like Dani, but he couldn't tell. Outside, he heard the grotesque rumbles coming from the zombie's mouth. It was still alive. Dei, he thought desperately, you better find out how to send that thing running soon, or we'll all end up zombies...

Most recent OOC posts in New Kids in the House

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Sorry, I would have posted earlier if mom would let me on. I keep getting grounded.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

I'm waiting for someone else to post because I just posted.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

*sighs* Forensic, even though I am lazy and don't want to go back and read all the posts, I will do it anyway.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Sa'll good if things slow down a tad. School and work and stuff. :) Anyone wanna discuss the direction of the RP, that's usually a good thing to do.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

As I said earlier... Bizarre, you can now review previous pages in the IC by clicking the page number icons under 'Posting'.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. School got a bit tough. Can anyone fill me in on what I missed?

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Alright! I finally managed to log in again...now what to post...

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

LOL! I was confused at first when you said Danikinz and I thought that Brazil_Germany was someone else. That was odd for a while.

Great, now I feel blonde.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Wow this is odd, switching between accounts...

Alrighty, with a little awesomeness, I got access to my account again. Like I said before, I think someone was trying to hack it or something, but for some odd reason it wouldn't let me log in with the right thing... Ah well, it's all fixed now. :D

So yep, you can consider my previous post (as Brasil) to be void, but I won't come and surgically remove the information that that is my I.C.E account for in case something like this happens... Yeah, I suppose I could stop typing about now. xD

Sincerely,
'Ensy/Brasil

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Okayyy thennn... This is 'Ensy on my side account. For some bizarre reason (no, I'm not referring to you, Danikinz!) RPG won't let me log into my main. Something about trying to log in too many times and needing to see the conf. code, which never showed up. T.T

Soooo.... Okay then... Until I can log in again, I guess I'm stuck talking in OOC here to y'all. xD Just thought I'd let you know. :D

Jumpstyle glomps,
'Ensy/Brasil

P.S. Yuf, Danikinz, please don't ask about the name... Old account. xD

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Yay for accepting my character haha. I can't wait to start :O

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Demented, all of your ideas are good with me. It's up to you what you plan on doing. She could be with the doctors already in the clearing and turn on them if you wanted, too. Just a thought, but it's all up to you.

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

Alrighty goodnight then and I could be related to your character :O but is any of my ideas alright with you Forensic ?

Re: [OOC] New Kids in the House (Lyle House Roleplay)

All good ideas, really. I think I like maybe the fact that she was looking for them, and kind of saves them from the Lyle doctors who are attacking them right now. Then sweeps them off to her headquarters or whatever. Just a thought. ;D You can be related to my character if you want, perhaps an aunt to the bad father she had? Or mumzy? Whatever sounds better. Also, I'll post tomorrow because my computer is seriously going at a crawl and I'm gonna throw it soon.

G'night folks!
