Ryder Marley

”There’s a fine line between genius and madman.”

The Basics

Full Name: Mark Ryder Marley
Aliases: Howard Markson, Jason Myers, Josh Vics, Kyle Patterson, Fredrik von Harmliech, Peter Kyle, George Blue
Specialization: Artist
Age: 33
Birthdate: January 22
Gender: male

Color: Maroon
Food: Veal
Drink: Mojito
Music: Actually a big fan of show tunes from Broadway Musicals.

Ryder is actually quite…unusual. He has many odd quirks (such as playing with his hair, drumming on desks, and stringing together paperclips). He has a very strange personality and is basically the stereotypical “art freak.” While this makes him very creative, he can also act a little insane, but in a non-hyper way. He tends to have strange, off topic thoughts that he has learned to keep to himself. Other than that, he is very artistic. He sees the world in an unusual way and often takes pictures of things that he wants to paint later, including people. He will often stop someone on the streets or someone he knows that is beautiful to take their picture. He is always very polite and talks to people, always commenting on their best feature. He is great at painting and photography and enjoys them both. As for flaws, he feels as though he sometimes is going crazy as he zones out a lot. He also gets very distracted and often will suddenly forget what he is supposed to be doing. He has self-diagnosed himself with ADD.

First Crime: As a child, he would steal art supplies like paints and brushes and colored pencils. He also would steal cameras from school’s photography class.

Ryder grew up alone. Not that he was on the streets or anything, but he just never really had a family. His mother died when he was very young and his father was always gone. He was picked on at school and the school bully created a rumor that he was gay because he liked art. This made it very difficult for Ryder to get a girlfriend and he didn’t attend any of the school dances. He became depressed during his middle school years and expressed himself through art. He began by copying pictures offline that ended up looking very similar. His talent grew and he ended up finding joy in photography as well as drawing a painting. He ended up winning art contests for his work and saved enough to put him through college. When he graduated, though, his father wouldn’t allow him to return home. A starving artist, Ryder turned to crime. He stole pencils and paint to do caricatures of people on the street. Eventually, he helped pull off a huge crime. He created a replica of an extremely famous painting right down to the signature. It took two weeks before anyone noticed that it wasn’t the original. This was only because of the fact that someone confessed. Luckily, the thief had never met Ryder and Ryder was never caught. Afterwards, though, the group of criminals he is currently with found him and recruited him for the team. He has been with them ever since.

Skill Set: His specialty is in painting, but is also good at photography.
Preferred Equipment: A camera or a paintbrush. Sometimes both.
