| PERSONALITY |
Starset - My Demons

Rocco is a two faced contradiction and best described as unstable. Torn between who he wants to be and how he was raised, he constantly conflicts between the two sides that surface depending on the circumstances he is dealt and the people involved. Unfortunately, his kinder side is the rarer one to see.

Image
The Rocco that everyone would know best is flirtatious, cute-faced and dangerous. Upon first impression, he's innocent and harmless but that couldn't be further from the truth. He can manipulate outsiders perspective with his ability to get comfortable with anyone. He has a general disregard for authority and is ready to get violent with provocation and without. He's fearless, not afraid of anyone or anything anymore because he believes there's nothing worse out there than his old man.

He can seem like he only cares about himself or for select people for selfish reasons but the truth is he cares more than he lets himself believe. With his family history, he doesn't know love even in the most basic sense of the word, making him scared of the idea of venturing out of his comfort zone and believing he has any affection for anybody.

Rocco does have a softer side that better matches his soft youthful appearance instead of the strained pretentious look. He normally uses it to fool people but there are genuine times when he lets his guard down and would most likely show this soft side when he gets lost in the moment of being introduced to something new, beautiful or something he just really likes. After the star struck moment is over, he’ll resume his normal ways like nothing happened and still write off his feedback as unimpressed out of hidden embarrassment.

He's a traumatized student trapped in the past that it is hard for him to appreciate the present or plan for the future. Even small things can trigger flashbacks and resentment. Dealing with these negative feelings every day festered into him acting as a mean person as a front for how weak he is on the inside. He often ponders if there even is a point to living such a mundane life without a dream to shoot for or people to care if he were to disappear.

| STRENGTHS | WEAKNESSES |
Starset - Dark On Me

✓ Sleight-of-hand
He can carefully manipulate objects with his hands to hide, switch or steal and avoid detection.

✖ Cat Allergy
Rocco experiences difficulty breathing, coughing and wheezing when exposed to cat allergen (cat dander, saliva, urine).
If exposed to close contact with a cat, it can trigger a severe asthma attack.
It is a genetic allergy he has had since he was born from his mother’s side.
(Secret) He is currently undergoing immunotherapy to take shots that will hopefully desensitize his allergy because he'd like to have a pet cat someday.

✓ Dodging
(Secret) After all the abuse, he did gain some skill out of it. It just wasn't enough against a professional boxer.

✖ Cursing
It ticks him off. Don't do it.
(Secret) It reminds him too much of his father.

✓ Photographic Memory
Rocco has a memory like an elephant. He can remember the good times and the bad evenly and all the other details in between.

✖ Socializing
He can only stand ordinary small talk for so long before losing interest and the conversation taking a mean turn.
He's also an attention hog, disliking sharing the attention of women around him with other guys.

✓ First-person shooter gamer
He'll never lose. He's been offered spots on pro gaming teams but he doesn't want to join the scene and look like a nerd.

✖ Trauma
(Secret) His dad was physically and verbally abusive. More information in his backstory.

| BACKSTORY |
Starset - Carnivore

ImageRocco is an only child. The whereabouts of his mother is unknown but him and his father had never been on good terms. Mr. Jon Murray (aka Behemoth) the #2 Professional Boxer in the world challenged the #1 and sustained a serious shoulder injury in the match that forced him into retirement from his career. Not taking defeat well, he took out his personal frustrations on his son with both violence and verbal abuse. Alone and unable to find anyone to turn to for help, the experience scarred Rocco for life.

Instead of help, he found ridicule, teased and called names for not 'being man enough’ and for ‘crying like a baby’. Rocco was only mocked and treated as a weakling the same way his father viewed him. It was the start of Rocco’s disconnection from people on personal terms. The abuse continued for some time, Rocco showing up to school bruised and beaten. He stopped crying, stopped trying and stopped caring. He accepted his new life and that nothing was going to change. The most he could do was stay out late and leave early to avoid being around his dad at home as much as possible.

It was a miracle when a female teacher Miss Angela Taylor from another class noticed and took pity on him. She informed Rocco about the possibility of acquiring a student visa to study abroad and insisted that she would support him. The only condition she gave him was that he up his grades to pass the Airdalen entrance exam as one of the highschools known to best accommodate foreigners. His grades were not the best but with his renewed hope, he studied hard and his hard work paid off.

Now, it's time for school.

"A storm could be brewing..."
he said, shifting his hood a little more over his brown locks of hair. The rain droplets continued to slide down his see-through raincoat that wrapped tightly around his lean frame. Rocco's morning had been average but he knew the rest of the day would not be. It was his first day attending this high school and he had been dreading it the moment he got off the plane. It wasn't like he could expect everything to suddenly change, that his gloomy, unforgiving and pessimistic world would just tear apart and reveal a rainbow. Unlike the rain, he was sure his bitterness would not pass. His past would not pass.

As he reached the entry point of the auditorium, a few faces caught his eye but he kept his hood down and walked onward. A pale girl with blue hair (Gen) and a boy with shaggy hair (Kei). Their appearances could not be more opposite as Rocco wondered for a passing moment why the two were even near each other. Didn't the high school have cliques? Groups that would only sit with one of their kind? That was how his previous high school worked anyway. Maybe the Japanese had a different idea of exclusion, popularity, and hierarchy or maybe they just save face but that's even worse.

When he entered the building, he removed his hood and wiped off the remaining water stragglers from his forehead. The auditorium looked a lot bigger on the outside compared to the inside. Either he overestimated it or there was more to the auditorium than it looked on first glances like extra rooms or a wide backstage area. They have a drama club or something I think? he pulled out his phone from his pants pocket and scrolled down the touchscreen for the club listing. Bingo. There wasn't anything else for him to do until the faculty arrived so why not investigate?

Rocco gazed up from his phone to analyze the infrastructure but a flash of yellow like sunlight captured his attention. Huh? He turned his head instantly wondering if he had just been seeing things. The weather was definitely not of the sunny type and it couldn't be more bipolar here than the weather of his home country. Back home, 5 minutes of rain then 5 minutes of sunshine would not surprise me. Rocco's eyes moved from corner to corner of the hall until he identified the yellow color to belong to long flowing locks of hair. A girl? You can never really tell... The shape of the person's body was hidden from the back by the chair so the only way he could be sure was to approach closer. And the closer he got, the more sure he was that it was indeed a girl. They tend to smell sweeter... he thought, a trace of a smirk on his lips.

"Hey, pretty lady. What you reading?"
Rocco leaned over the blonde girl's shoulder (Arietta) as he spoke, not afraid to invade her personal space or give her a little scare.
She did not strike him as the bookworm type but to each their own. He didn't even bother to check the contents of what she was reading because he didn't care.
Regardless of how she would react, he removed his bag from off his shoulder and dropped it on the ground before plopping down on the chair beside her. With his arms sprawled out like he was exhausted over the top of the chairs to his sides including hers, he slumped casually and yawned not even going to the trouble of covering his mouth.

"I guess we're early. The staff must really suck here to not be here before us. A shame."
Rocco said casually, not afraid to insult Airdalen. He was a new student and an international one. It would be unheard of if Airdalen would have the audacity to kick him out on his first day for something so petty like a true insult. He kept his eyes on the ceiling adding to his boredom but his light smirk never left as if he had reason to be mischievously pleased.

Run faster.

Run harder.

Don't look back.

Those words echoed in his head repeatedly as he run through the streets for his daily morning run. The rain didn't stop him from doing it. More like, it motivated him to even run at a faster pace and a longer trail. The rain as well did not relent as he was completely drenched in a mixture of water and sweat. His coal black hair clung to his face and water droplets also ran a trail across his skin. If anyone wold see him, they would think he was doing a sexy commercial or something like that, but that was far from the truth. He was simply refocusing himself on what matters to him. It was also helpful on his part about the weather as it meant those neighborhood women won't be able to bother him with their fancies. That's why he could run without any hassle, as fast as he can.

His eyes right now held a spark of desperation as he breezes through his pathway. It's like he was running after something, yearning to reach out to it as far as he can. That's why he must be a trailblazer so, he would be able to catch up, but no matter how hard he did so, his hands never reach or even graze that goal of his. He would always be a centimeter away. It was frustrating. It was a simmering ember of a raging fire inside him. His thoughts swirled at those ideas and his feet carried him faithfully across the path.

He only broke from his self-imposed trance when his watch alarmed meaning that his morning run is done for now. He stopped on his tracks and raised his head to look at the dark clouds bringing the rain. His breathing was ragged and somehow, one could see a track of liquid trailing from his eyes then again, it could just be the rain. There was no way that someone like Ryou would cry, is it? It was impossible. He stood like that for a while then afterwards, he returned back to the house, clearly drenched from head to toe. He was half-expecting his Aunt to burst on him about his health and to take off his wet clothes instantly, but then he remembered that he was alone at the moment. Everyone was out and then would be returning in the afternoon even his kid brother. It was eerily quiet, but somehow, he was used to it far more than he would think. Well, the only thing he could do now is to clean up after himself since he was making a puddle underneath his feet. A shower would be a good thing for him to do.

He went to his room and from the corner of his eyes, he saw the costume he wore last night. The events of the party replayed inside his head. He became Devone Kim's date unexpectedly and he was better off than taking those raving girls surrounding him. Their time together was what he would call at best interesting. He was her escort and he did what is to be expected of his position at that night. There were moments that he pushed the boundary, but never crossed it. He accommodated the role as her date for only that night. Right now is a new day and things are now different. All of him is still dedicated to her. It was something that never changes. Well, he now has a story to tell her and he was looking forward to it, someday.

After a while, he was done with his morning rituals. He was now in his uniform all clean and proper. He then made himself a simple breakfast of toast and butter. He finished his meal and cleaned up as well, when that was done, he heard his phone ringing and went to answer it. The caller was Hikaru who asked him to pick him up later. He promised and after a short exchange, the call ended. It seemed that he would need to get home early today, since he would be fetching Hikaru. It was a brotherly duty and he didn't really mind at all. It was at this moment that he was rather grateful that he was the Basketball Captain, he can use his authority to leave early and have his vice-captain handle the rest.

Anyway, he finally made his way to Airdalen with his usual commuters' trail. Many had asked to share an umbrella with him along the way, but he refused all of them. He just doesn't see the logic of sharing the umbrella when he could see that they already have one. When he rode his bus, he could see people crowding to each other for warmth but, he didn't understand why they need to converge around him. Japanese people are really weird. Then again, he was also one of them right now. He chose to ignore their curious looks as he proceeded to take out his text book. He remembered his physics teacher like having a quiz before the class start to recall. It won't be bad to review some points.

That's what he did for the entire duration of his bus trip. By the end, he was able to memorize some formulas and theories. He then exited the bus and soon entered the school premises. There were not much students present. It could be about the weather or about something else. It was then he remembered that today would be the announcement of the new representatives. The students must be in there. He should go to the Auditorium and so he did where he found familiar faces at the entrance. Good morning. Fukui-san. Watari-san. He greeted them which should be polite manners and he then proceeded inside where he also noted the presence of Arietta and a new guy (Rocco). They were far from him and he wasn't sure that Arietta noticed him, so he simply went on his way not bothering them. He took a seat and decided continue reading his physics book, letting the rain as a soothing music along with that faint humming of melody.

-NEW DAY-

A smile on his face, half leaning out of his bed in his boxers. Bishop was sleeping like a rock, dreaming about winning a swimming competition with a stand full of cute girls. This was actually a reacquiring dream for the teenager and was personally noted as one of his favorites. He received his trophy, and his gold medal, and his crown and his championship ring and was immediately inducted into the newly created swimming hall of fame when a particuarly busty girl clad in a bikini latched on to his arm, what was odd was when she spoke she sounded like his mother. "Bishop~.... Bishop~ its time to wake up. Bishop~"

Bright light casted over the projections in his mind as he was gently shaken awake. Blue eyes fluttered open to find his mother standing above him with an amused yet business like expression. "Honey wake up... You're going to be late for school." His mind was like a bike chain struggling to catch it's gear. He kept pedaling until the chains and cogs bit giving him traction and his mind rushed with coherent information "Alright I'm up..." He sighed and stepped out of bed rubbing his eyes to begin his morning routine. Looking at the clock, he realized that his mother wasn't kidding in the least. He was way behind schedule!

Bishop rushed to the bathroom to freshen up, splashing warm water on his face and a little on his body since he actually showers at night. No harm in being extra fresh though. With his grooming taken care of the junior headed back to his room and got dressed for school, throwing on his clothes and tying his tie as he traveled down the stairs. To his shock breakfast wasn't on the table! He got nearly teary eyed until his mother walked by holding a large plastic bowl filled with delicious smelling food. "This will be waiting for you in the car, now hurry." She walked on leaving her son to gather his school supplies.

Checking and double checking all of his belongings and pockets, Bishop headed outside only to run smack into rain. Looking around he decided against going back and simply hurried to the family car and hopped inside to see his mother giggling. "What? I don't want my hair to get wet." "Yes dear, because everyone knows that you hate getting it wet." His mother laughed started to chuckle more finding it amusing that her son who was a scholastic swimmer was concerned about his hair from the rain. She pulled out of their drive way and left for Airdalen.

Bishop quickly nabbed his plastic tub of breakfast and commenced devouring the assortment of breakfast items to include, eggs, meat, potatoes, cheese, with mushroom and peppers and a side of toast. They didn't even make it halfway through the drive and he was already done sighing in satisfaction to find his mother handing him an apple. His eyes widened seeing the perfectly shiny morsel food and grabbed it appreciatively before he commenced devouring that. "Thanks for the meal!!" Bishop smiled to his mother after eating the whole apple; yes, the whole thing.

Pulling up to Airdalen the now full junior unbuckled and lunged over to give his mom a hug. "Bye mom, thank again. Love you!"with a short goodbye he dashed away shitting the door behind him. He didn't see it, but Misoko starred adoringly at her son amazed at how fast he has grown.

Entering the school courtyard, Bishop's method of protecting himself from the rain was holding his green backpack above his head while taking large strides to find cover to head indoors. Seeing the signs out direction students to the auditorium he whizzed past 2 students (Gen and Kei) wanting out of the rain. With that settled he slowed his pace shaking the rain and wet off and following where everyone else was going moving into the larger open space. With a sigh he began to settle down and started to gaze around to try and find a familiar face. Very quickly he found that in Arietta his senior talking to what seemed to him was a random boy (Rocco) and a tiny knot formed in his stomach. She had ditched him the day before to talk to some guy (Tadashi) who happened to turn into her date. He hadn't spoken to her the entire night during the Halloween party and dance either despite seeing her multiple times. He didn't really feel like talking to her this morning either so he walked to his right stepping directly in front of Ryou looking for a seat.

Trying not to over-analyze his surroundings Bishop moved to the right row of seats and sat somewhat towards the rear in an aisle seat. He sighed and rested his back pack across his lap, hoping for a familiar face to talk to but rather reluctant if it was his senior (Arietta) who would notice him sitting back there by himself. He was still mentally tackling that issue and wouldn't really know what to say to her. He noticed Ryou ahead remembering him for the one moment that they talked together. Seeing him in his book discouraged the younger blonde from approaching so he remained in his seat going through all the events that would taker place today, then thought about last night and s soft smile spread across his face.

Devone's sleep was disturbed by three knocks at the door as her eyelids flickered open, ready for the new day. That was when she recalled the other night, that she had fallen asleep in the limousine and must have been carried to her bed to have awakened here in the comfort of her sheets. Tossing her blanket aside, she was relieved to find that neither of her bodyguards had decided to change her into her sleepwear but simply removed the extras that would prove uncomfortable such as the wings and tail. If they had been dumb enough to even attempt such a feat, she would have strangled them relentlessly. “Come in.” she said sitting up in her bed and leaning her back against the headboard, her hands neatly placed in her lap. It was the retired police officer of the two men, Goro who entered her bedroom to present her with breakfast and coffee laid out neatly on a bed tray. He pushed up his glasses and stood upright as his young employer inspected the meal, her chopsticks poking pieces of her traditional Korean breakfast. “It appears adequate.” she stated before beginning to eat but the usual morning peace did not last for long as she noticed Goro staring at her instead of moving away or leaving entirely after his task was complete. Devone continued eating but after finishing a mouthful spoke her concerns, “Speak Goro, I didn't hire you to gawk at me."

Goro opened his mouth but closed it again, taking caution in his choice of words over such a delicate matter. He realized he should probably jump right to the point, beating around the bush would only test Devone's patience. "We've located the suspect Chey in Osaka, Momodani. Police records have also led us to the conclusion that he is primarily responsible for the increasing homicide rate in the area. He has managed to evade capture at every sighting." Devone gently dropped her chopsticks to the side of the tray, picking up her coffee to purse her lips and blow the surface. "How careless," she said before slowly taking a sip and continuing conversation. "Have you uncovered more intel on his background? I would like to know if we are dealing with an assassin or a psychopath." The way the two talked was comparable to a child reporting his grades to a parent in fear of a spanking with the older man taking the role of child and Devone the strict parent. Goro had never been on the receiving end of Devone's punishments in comparison to his assigned criminal partner Isaac but he was always careful when the subject was the mysterious passing of Chia Kim, Devone's mother. It would be understandable if she were to become more easily aggravated and lash out at him if he weren't. It was also the reason he was the one to report the details more often than Isaac, the other man lacking tact at times.“Yes, of course.” Goro's report continued through the morning routine until the time came for them to leave the mansion for Devone's school attendance.

Devone's blue eyes stared with such intensity ahead of her as she sat in the limousine with both bodyguards seated at the front by her orders. She desired to be left with some space and her thoughts, spinning like gears and clockwork for her next scheme. Somewhere in the midst of it all. she realized that pursuing this lead further and getting closer to solving the case would be the most dangerous game she had ever dared to trifle with. She wanted nothing more than for the truth to be uncovered, to rid the stain on her family name and for those who judged her mother to shut their filthy mouths but she did value her life too. Devone could bribe for this truth to be the most known story, for the suicide report to be buried and rise above the need to kill. There would be no turning back if she were to decide to go through with this. But vengeance is sweeter than sorrow. Her mind was made up, a sinister smile spreading across her face as she imagined the hell this man Chey would endure.

Isaac stopped the hummer limousine outside Airdalen's gates, Goro opening the door for Devone with a black umbrella to keep his employer dry. They walked in complete silence, Goro escorting her until they had reached shelter after passing a few students along the way (Kei, Gen). Devone overheard whispers along the journey, some classmates eyeing her and her company noticing the tall, dark-haired and formally dressed bodyguard at her side. It made Devone want to snicker at their petty gossip. They're just jealous I live with two handsome men and they can't even seduce one's attention for 5 minutes. "Lady Kim, should we notify your father of our findings?" Goro asked, Devone turning away to head inside the auditorium with a clear definite answer. “No, father stays out of this.” she said coldly as she walked away from him without looking back or providing any parting words.

Devone did not want to look too distracted from her immediate surroundings which could lead to an embarrassing display of clumsiness so she looked around to observe the other students in attendance so far this morning. She recognized her fellow senior and Halloween date Ryou first, seemingly absorbed in a book and avoiding the masses as per usual. Yet, her heart did not flutter despite the previous night's intimate teases. The two seniors were to be strangers again as if nothing had transpired between them.
The other serious male she spotted was Aeon but where is that overgrown child (Cassiopeia)? she briefly wondered, those two as thick as thieves and barely ever apart. Almost as if they can't function in normal society without each other. Devone could imagine Cassiopeia getting carried away with her naive kindness and Aeon as blank as a new canvas without that girl's brightness.
The spitting image of a foreign student, senior Arietta beside an unknown boy (Rocco) who looked foreign as well. Well, birds of a feather flock together. She did not know much about Arietta except that she was recently given the position of club president for the drama club and considered popular by their peers.
Last but not least, her gaze reached the brat (Akira) who did not deserve a place at Airdalen playing peek-a-boo or whatever with another foreigner (Bishop). It was almost astounding where all these foreigners were coming from and being welcomed with open arms. Devone did not receive the same courtesy when she was new in her sophomore year from Korea. Her egotistical attitude made her temporarily blind to the reason as to why.
She was about to walk down the aisle for an appropriate seating arrangement but the very sight of Akira was too irritating to ignore. There is a little itty bitty amount of time left before the assembly starts to toy around, isn't there? she thought, slowly approaching him and his acquaintance (Bishop) with casual, confident strides. Devone stopped walking, standing in front of them to serve as the first being that the blonde male (Bishop) would see once Akira or the other decided to remove the hands acting as a blindfold. "Funny seeing you here..."An absolute joke. "Are you stalking me?" she subtly taunted, a plain smile on her face as if she was only initiating friendly banter but it was much much more.

There was this drop of sadness blooming inside of her. Cassiopeia knew that Tadashi has the freedom to answer no. She won't force him if that was the case, but it doesn't mean she can't be disappointed. Her imagination was already traveling light years ahead of the present time. Tadashi playing with everyone in the Music Club or seeing him perform a recital during one of the school's events. It was really an exciting and wonderful thing, because it would be a shame if someone as talented as he is would not be recognized. That was her current thought process when in reality Tadashi has yet to answer her, and as if sensing her distress. She felt his hand on her shoulder as if assuring her. She glanced at it briefly and when she heard his positive answer. Her face was like a light bulb slowly being illuminated into like of a sun. Her smile was so bright as she nodded happily. "Of course! I'm sure everyone would be happy to have you!" There was not a hint of doubt in her words as Clio joined in agreement while energetically bouncing up and down. "Clio sure! Tadashi member! Clio sure! Clio!"

She giggled lightly at Clio's actions before looking back at Tadashi properly with that gentle gaze of hers. "I'm really glad you'll be joining Tadashi-kun." At that point, Tadashi spoke about them going to the auditorium. She had that bewildered expression for a moment before remembering what was happening there. "Oh! Yes! Let's go!" She was quite an expressive person, so all of her emotions can be seen freely without any restrictions. "Clio! Message received Clio! Message from Aeon! Clio! Read or not, Clio?" She looked at the pink ball for a moment and noticed that Tadashi was packing his instrument. "Excuse me for a while, Tadashi-kun. Go ahead, please read it Clio."

At her permission, Clio began to read the message even with Tadashi present. "Good morning, Cassiopeia. I have arrived at school. Meet me at the Auditorium. I will be seating at the front row. Clio end of message! Clio!" She nodded in thanks of what Clio did. "Thank you, Clio." She then released a small sigh afterwards. "It wouldn't hurt him to text a bit more lively instead of being on point. He could put some smiley faces so, it won't be boring." She pouted a bit at that and then looked back at Tadashi with a smile. "Don't tell Aeon, I said that, okay Tadashi-kun?" Whether she was earnest in her favor or asked so in a playful manner, there's one thing for sure, she was speaking her mind with good reasons behind it. "Shall we go?" She asked him and then, they went on their way.

It was still raining and Tadashi offered for them to share an umbrella. She was thankful for that because, he saved her from being scolded by Hotaru and Aeon, especially when she forgot her umbrella in the car. Her car was allowed entry inside, so she didn't have to walk through the grounds earlier. She gathered Clio in to her hands as they walk together. There were some students that greeted her and she greeted them back in her cheerful and sincere nature. There were a lot more students that seemed to look and request her attention with a simple greeting. But, she was completely oblivious unlike Tadashi about the talks of him and her being together. To her, there was nothing wrong with her being with other men, especially when her intentions were purely friendship. Plus, Tadashi was a gentleman as far as she could see, so she was perfectly safe and that was again, her always trustful nature.

They soon reached the auditorium's entrance. There she saw Gen as she perked up noticeably. "Good morning, Gen-chan!" Her smile was both graceful and warm. It seemed that even the rain appeared to be sparkles of star dust around her. She then looked at Gen's companion (Kei) who was a new person to her. "Good morning as well, my name is Argyris, Cassiopeia." She reached out her hand to him for a friendly handshake whether he took it or not, she smiled at him warmly. "My name is quite a handful, so please feel free to call me whatever comes easy to you. " This was where Clio joined in again. "Morning! Matey! Clio! Morning!" She then introduced the pink mechanical ball followed by a light giggle. "And this is Clio! Well, it's nice meeting you." She bowed her head in an elegant manner that comes easy to her. "I'll see you later Gen-chan!" She was sure the unfamiliar student (Kei) would be fine with Gen by his side.

He entered with Tadashi which earned more gossips, that she was of course, oblivious about. It was quite more than outside, probably because of the students pouring in and Aeon being there. She began looking at the front row for Aeon before a rather, tall person showed before her and Tadashi. She was surprised in a good way, because she never knew there would be someone that can be that high in this school other than Ryou. "Wow, so tall." Her eyes sparkle in awe while Clio now jumped from her hands and tried to bounce as high as this person named Johnny or Jay as he introduced himself. She smiled at him and returned the handshake with hers. "It is nice to meet you Jay-kun! I'm Cassiopeia! Call me whatever you think fits! Are you a new student? If so, let me welcome you to Airdalen. I hope you're enjoying your time here." Her smile never once faltering as her eyes showed her earnest intentions of friendship.

That was then her eyes lingered a bit to the side where she noticed Ryou. She wasn't sure if he saw her but, she gave Ryou, a vibrant smile and a small wave. She also saw Arietta and was about to say hi, but she seemed busy with talking with another student (Rocco), she doesn't know. So, she would do that later and instead looked for Aeon when Johnny left her and Tadashi. She easily spotted the blonde male. "Ah! There he is!" She pointed out proudly before looking back at Tadashi. "I'll have to excuse myself now, Tadashi-kun. Thank you for escorting me. Let's see each other later, okay? I'll look forward playing with you!" Those were not empty words, because that was the truth as she waved him goodbye and went to where Aeon is, but before she could, she stopped midway, because she was startled a bit by a rather energetic greeting. She looked to her side where she finally noticed Bishop, Devone, and her junior Akira. Well, she was not really taken aback with Bishop hugging Devone. She found it a cute thing. Those two were adorable. This is Cassiopeia after all.

She simply smiled and greeted them. "Good morning! Bishop-kun, Akira-kun, and Devone-chan!" She was probably the second one like Bishop who doesn't see anything strange with what happened or even think it was like a ticking time bomb. "It seems you are reuniting with precious friends, Bishop-kun." She was serious in that while smiling at Akira and then to Devone. Well, she should excuse herself since, she shouldn't interrupt such wonderful reunions. "Well, I'll excuse myself now." She then went ahead to where Aeon is. He was sitting there calm as ever and she could see some of the girls stealing glances at him. Well, he is an attractive person. She then stepped in front of the man and greeted him with her brightest smile yet. "Good morning, Aeon!"

"Hey, pretty lady. What you reading?"

At the sudden break of silence, her body tensed. She could have sworn that her heart had stopped completely in that moment. Arietta was sure that it wasn't that noticeable, but then again, perhaps she was only hoping it wasn't noticeable... Arietta closed the book slowly, despite her initial instinct to slam it shut at the sound of another person's voice. Once the book was closed, she tilted her head over to the owner of the unfamiliar voice, her blue eyes giving him a once over. It seemed he was a fellow student, but as she did not know or recognize him, she deduced that he was one of the newer ones. She was pretty good with faces, and this guy's (Rocco) was one she had never seen before. There was also the small fact that he was leaning a little closer toward her than she was comfortable with, but she kept that detail silent for the moment, "Good Morning. Oh? What I was reading just now...? I got bored, nothing very interesting I assure you." Her voice was cheerful, a tone she adopted long ago when handling others. The smile she greeted him with formed on her lips with ease, making it almost impossible to tell that she was faking it. However, when he chose to sit right next to her, despite the vast options before him, she wished that she had not been kind. It does not help one's reputation to be rude to new students... Breathe... Forward or not, he is new. Arietta reminded herself, letting out a soft, almost inaudible breath as she reapproached the situation with a calmer mind.

"I guess we're early. The staff must really suck here to not be here before us. A shame."

"Honestly, they're strict when it counts. She stated in a casual tone, doing her best to hide the irritation she felt. Normally Arietta didn't care when the school was insulted, but seeing as he was new and had caught her in the act of studying, she somehow felt he did not have the right to decide whether the teachers were proficient or not. Or, perhaps, it was simply that she was lacking sleep the last two days. She was definitely going to blame it on the lack of sleep, whether it was the actual cause or not. Who in their right mind would argue with a grumpy woman anyway? She knew that many often avoided angering women, especially boys in high school. She often used that to her advantage, but what girl would ever admit that out loud either?

Those bright blue eyes of hers shifted to the stage, then back at Rocco as she continued her explanation, "I'd say they're most likely preparing things behind the scenes. She could have stabbed herself in the throat. Here she was defending the school, of all things. Why couldn't her mouth have been built with an off switch? She seemed to be digging herself deeper and deeper into her own grave as the words passed her shimmery glossed lips, "I'm usually here ridiculously early... but that's because I make a habit of arriving early to socialize, I am the president of Showstoppers, so it gives me a chance to recruit students if I'm here first." She replied with a proud smile splayed across her features. Finally off of the topic of teachers and the academic portion of the school. She felt so relieved that she managed to swiftly change her collision course. She took great pride in her 'club' as the school put it, so she was more than happy to shift the conversation to that. Showstoppers meant so much more to Arietta than simple club activities, it was almost a way of life to her. She tucked the textbook into her bag and out of his sight. Hopefully, he had not seen the content of her day's reading. Is this going to become some sort of Mafia thing? He saw me so now I have no choice but to kill him?

The room was much more lively now. She could tell without even looking because the once silent room was bustling with noise. Arietta gazed over her shoulder and the new boy's arm (Rocco) as she heard several students gossiping nearby, waving to the few that were members of Showstoppers. Her eyes landed on Tadashi entering the auditorium with Cassiopeia, and she quickly stood to remove herself from her seat before he could see the newcomer's arm wrapped around her seat. It was silly, as they had only met the day before, but after everything that had played out, she didn't want to come across as a whore. Not to him. When Arietta returned her gaze to Cassiopeia, Tadashi was no longer with her, but instead, she was in conversation with Aeon and that prevented Arietta from greeting her. Arietta gazed down to Rocco, deciding to make conversation with him this time. She did not see the harm now that she held a bit more control over the situation, "What's your name? It's not very polite to not tell your Senpai your name, you know? My name is Arietta." She stated in a friendly tone of voice, smoothing out the wrinkles in her school uniform as if that had been her intention the entire time. Arietta gave him a once over as she waited for his answer. His facial features were very distinctive, so she was sure that she would not confuse him with someone else once she was supplied with his name. I can't believe I'm talking to a freshman this early in the morning... especially one so blunt as this guy.. She stretched her arms once she was satisfied with her uniform's prisitine appearance, doing her best to wake herself up. She had a bad feeling that this would be a very long day, so Arietta felt that it was necessary to prepare herself accordingly. Surprises were not good, in fact, she wanted to be wide awake to avoid anything putting a dent in her kindhearted and carefree facade.

"Good Morning. Oh? What I was reading just now...? I got bored, nothing very interesting I assure you." Rocco whistled, giving a false impression that he was impressed with her answer. Wow, what a mouthful. So many words coming out of such small lips. Girls did have a tendency to talk more than the average male, he was sure he had read that from somewhere. It was noteworthy that she didn't want to reveal what she was reading by insisting the topic was 'boring' and 'nothing very interesting' but to Rocco, she couldn't have made a better assumption. He wasn't interested in the contents of her books and he wasn't even sure if he was interested in her. He just didn't want to be a complete anti-social loner on his first day. If he'd be attending a Japanese school for a while, he might as well scope out the sights. Seating beside her offered him the freedom to roam his eyes over her body but the chatter distracted him more. "Honestly, they're strict when it counts." The senior girl's subtle irritation flew right over his head, Rocco just continuing to listen attentively to what she had to say with no plan to retract his words or get out of her hair yet. According to him, she had a few more seconds or maybe 3 minutes at most to make a good first impression before he'd move on and lose interest. Plenty of chicks in the coop.

"I'd say they're most likely preparing things behind the scenes." Rocco's eyes moved away to attend to unbuttoning his transparent raincoat, nodding to every statement to show he was still listening even without maintaining eye contact. "I'm usually here ridiculously early... but that's because I make a habit of arriving early to socialize, I am the president of Showstoppers, so it gives me a chance to recruit students if I'm here first.""Ohh." his mouth formed a perfect O shape as he finished undoing his raincoat, sprawling his arms again along the seats to keep comfortable. He connected the dots as he did enter the auditorium reading about the clubs off his phone screen. President of the drama club huh? He closed his mouth, eyes raised to the ceiling in thought as he heard her shuffle her bag and mysterious book away. So, she must be good at acting.

Rocco stayed put until his new female acquaintance's chair screeched when she stood up suddenly, ruining any peace he thought he had there. He turned around fully in his seat in a kneeling position, his arms folded resting casually on the top of his own chair as he tried to observe what was so urgent to steal the blonde's attention away from their small talk. He couldn't be a hundred percent definite when her eyes led him to look at the crowded entrance with students starting to pile in and fill up the empty spaces but there were a few schmucks that stood out easily. "What's your name? It's not very polite to not tell your Senpai your name, you know? My name is Arietta." Rocco lowered his chin to meet his resting arms, still scouting out the sea for the fishes that will bite. "My senpai huh? Well senpai, I think you're one to talk. You gave out your first name. Don't you know better?" he smirked, his eyes still elsewhere and deciding to add more to the conversation. It wouldn't be polite of him to let this be a one-sided conversation and act like a wall to bounce words off of. "So, which schmuck got your panties in a twist?"

Whatever her reaction, he would rise from his chair suddenly too. Rocco started to carelessly pull out his arms from the sleeves of his rain coat. Within a close range from him, the droplets that had stuck on his coat could easily reach and spray her. Once the coat was fully removed, he tossed it over his shoulder being even more careless and ungentlemanly and picked up his bag by the strap. Time had run out for her first impression. He wasn't an absolute numskull to not eventually catch on that his company was unwanted. Arietta might be a good actress but there were still small details that couldn't be faked. Plus, Rocco wasn't a nice person and that made it easy to tell when a person was the opposite and genuinely nice. They would either relate to him or not. "And if you genuinely want my name..." He was about to walk past her but turned to challenge her gaze. "-you're going to have to find out on your own sunshine." he said in a condescending tone before shamelessly approaching a group of girls he had just seen. He didn't know them and they didn't know him but ditching Arietta for other girls for those that would see, was an easy way to just kick her down a peg. "Hello ladies." Rocco had picked his next targets carefully, the girls flattered that he had left a pretty and charming girl to spend time with them instead. Not that he would agree with their shallow assessment of her.

Somewhere down along the line of conversation, their attention again shifted to another section of the auditorium and away from him. What is up with that? Rocco wasn't having the luckiest of days. He thought being a foreigner was enough of a standout feature to keep their eyes on him. Instead of playing the repetitive guessing game of what-stole-her-attention, it was a lot easier to understand what was going on because of natural female gossip standing as a group. "Oh my god, he hugged Ursula!" "No way!" Rocco looked to where the girls were pointing and several other people to observe just what was so unbelievable about someone hugging... An Ursula, was it? Rocco didn't see no Ursula. Hearing the name of the evil villain from that one Disney movie, he imagined a really overweight and creepy girl but the girl being hugged was far from it. She had a classy look about her and a slim figure as far as he could tell from this distance. Her beauty didn't match with the Ursula he knew of.

"What's with the nickname? Some kind of jab?" The girls shook their heads defensively in unison refusing to be labeled as bullies. "No, she's terrible, really terrible!" "You should stay away from her Murray-kun~" Before he could reply or ask for more information, the dark haired girl in question had stirred up quite a scene by sprouting harsh words that had surely crushed the happy guy's spirits. Rocco whistled as the notorious Ursula stormed off, headed their way in fact. As she passed him, he got goosebumps when her hair nearly brushed his exposed arm. So... cold. "Ladies, I think I'll have to take this call." The sophomore girls had no idea what Rocco was talking about hearing no ringtone or seeing any phone in his hands. Before they could ask what he meant, he had already swiftly exited their circle to join the intriguing senior girl's side with a smirk on the rise from the corner of his lips.

"I'll have to excuse myself now, Tadashi-kun. Thank you for escorting me. Let's see each other later, okay? I'll look forward playing with you!" Tadashi smiled kindly at Cassiopeia and nodded. "Of course, thank you for recommending me. I'll see you soon Argyris-chan." Tadashi bowed his head slightly in a casual fashion of seeing her off before his company had departed. The girl was rather energetic and pleasant, although he did get the feeling that she was frail. That being said, it was only from the limited encounters they had together. He would find out as time went on. Before he would step off however a student aide would tap him on the shoulder and request that his presence be brought to the front office. He grew curious as to why he would be needed but didn't object in any way. Following the aide he gave a last glance to the crowd of students and then exited into the hallway.

"I see, yes I understand. Thank you for letting me know, I hope that Skylar settles well with her new arrangements." Tadashi was given a new junior partner to take care of now, given that there were certain circumstances regarding his former pupil Skylar. Looking at the folder he observed the picture of a girl named Mao Nozomi. She had an extra exotic look to her, given her dark skin but that wasn't necessarily 'new' in Japan. What he could tell however was that her looks were natural, unlike the girls that went tanning on purpose to appeal to a more 'western' look.. <What were they called? Gyaru's, right?>. He was familiar with girls like this at the clubs and venues he visited down town, not necessarily bad company but not company he would go with if he had a choice. They made good for a good concert crowd though. He stepped off and proceeded to the auditorium again to link back with his fellow student.

Entering the large open room, there were considerably more students this time with a large portion of them murmuring about something that had just unfolded. He managed to get the idea of what had happened by causally eavesdropping. "Did you see that!? He hugged Ursula?" The last thing that he saw was a woman with dark blue hair (Devone) stomping off from a distraught looking blonde boy (Bishop). The blonde (Bishop) stood frozen like a statue, he recognized the look on his face and felt a pang of guilt. Not so much pity, that's the last thing the boy (Bishop) needed. It was unfortunate, he knew exactly how harsh rejection could be. HE took for a young eager junior had decided to confess his feeling towards the older girl (Devone) and she had harshly let him down and publicly as well. He was far from the mark, but the misconception was understandable without knowing the true details. <All is fair in love and war... He'll recover from this. IT could be worse.> Again this was based off of only his assumptions. "Oh man! I thought she was going to kill him! "Yeah, but Ursula isn't the type to do it herself... She's got money. He'll disappear in a week, guarantee it." Now that was interesting.

Tadashi decided to pay less mind to the rumors and gossip but it would never fully drowned out given how fresh and juicy it all was to the school populace. In the mean time Tadashi would make an attempt to look for his junior Mao to hopefully introduce himself and talk to the girl before the assembly began. He didn't want to miss an opportunity like he did with his last partner, but searching for a head of black hair in Japan was like trying to find a rain drop in a puddle. It just wasn't going to happen. So he would look for skin complexion, a little bias in regards to race but he had to do what he must. It was for a good reason though and it wasn't like he'd do it all the time.... He hoped.

He waded through the aisle searching back and forth for his junior (Mao), sighing as he now had to resort to calling her out. He cleared his throat and took a breath ready to project his voice. "Nozomi, Mao? Nozomi, Mao?" He looked around as some students gave him strange looks. The reason being was, he wasn't using his natural voice. A talent Tadashi discovered some time ago was he could impersonate voices fairly well and even use his own unique ones. His music instructor mister Harumas had him study and practice spoken word in Japanese and English to develop this skill. With enough practice his instructor told him that he could get parts voice for commercials or television, even anime's and movies if he was recepted well enough. He called out again, for the second time exposing himself but in front of a much larger crowd- for sake of finding his junior. "Nozomi, Mao~ If you can hear me I'd like to have a word please?" He hoped to not come across as 'weird' being self conscious only because he was calling a girl's name out as if he was a teacher.

Glancing about him, now in the second aisle to the right he sighed getting a little frustrated at the whole situation. His approach was the opposite of Devone and Rocco, slowly walking past students heading towards the back of the room. His eyes would be changing from their even purple-red to a mostly red the further he got involved in his search. Although this was a detail easily missed unless you were watching his eyes.

Shiori stood outside of Airdalen's gates with Kazuhiko, staring up at her retainer, several women that drove by pointing and gawking at the Airdalen girl standing outside with the towering and handsome blond. Shiori did not see him that way, though. In Shiori's eyes, Kazuhiko was nothing more than an indispensable companion. The first that she ever made, and the only one until just recently. Of course, the credit all went to him, Kazuhiko did all the work back then, which could still be argued even now. Shiori entered the academy without him as it was the rules of the school, and he waved her off with a pleasant smile, despite the fact that he knew she was finally growing to receive others, the small bubble he had grown so accustomed to was expanding, accepting new people in its depths. Sooner or later Shiori would have no real application for him anymore. It terrified him. As her black locks of hair turned the corner, making it out of Kazuhiko's immediate sight, Shiori stopped to check her phone. Even though it was raining, her phone was perfectly safe under the protection of her Panda themed umbrella. The picture was there. She had not imagined the entire night.

A crimson glow claimed her cheeks as she gazed upon the Halloween photo she had taken with Rhys, but her lips curved into a small smile. She was eighteen now, and she had finally been to a school dance. Her feet gradually steered her toward the auditorium, and her eyes met the door with dread. She absolutely loathed high school. Everyone on the other side of that door had the ability to make her so frightened and apprehensive... They triggered the walls that she built to shield herself at every turn. Dealing with people was exhausting, especially people that she had no idea whether they approved of or despised her. When her hand ventured to claim the door handle, it coincided with the hand of someone else. Her hand retreated swiftly as if she had touched something repugnant, and her mauve eyes stirred to meet the owner.

Dread washed over Shiori when she became aware that the owner of the hand that had startled her was her least favorite person, well, least favorite that attended this school at least. He was a guy from her class, and one of her prime tormentors since her Freshman year, "So, I saw you with that freshman last night. Why can't you be that cutesy for guys like me that are your own age, huh?" The boy asked, but Shiori ignored him and proceeded to move for the door once again. Her cool nature provoked the boy and he roughly seized Shiori by the chin, forcing her to look up at him. His hostile grip felt as though it would crush her cheekbones, refusing to let her ignore him.

Upon being manhandled, Shiori promptly adopted her death glare, gazing up at the guy who was easily two heads taller than herself with an unamused frown. She knew exactly who the bully was referring to, but she did not humor him with an answer. Hell, she didn't know how to respond even if she wanted to, which she certainly did not. She wouldn't grant the ruffian the satisfaction. She wasn't even sure how or why Rhys was so different either. It perplexed even her, but being touched so familiarly by her bully was wearing Shiori's patience rather thin, so she yanked free from his grasp, "I'm fairly confident that my private life is none of your concern." Shiori affirmed in an icy tone. Her cheeks had already begun to bruise from the pressure the boy had applied there, marks where his fingers had once dug into her skin already a light shade of purple. She spun on her heel, turning her back on him and walked into the auditorium, her eyes closed as the nuisance followed her. She kept her pace calm and collected despite her fear. She noticed Gen but was too preoccupied with the predicament on her hands to actually give her a second glance as she passed her by. She then spotted Ryou, someone she saw regularly outside of school, as she visited the flower shop he worked at hebdomadally. She respected him, as he never intruded on her affairs. He seemed to know what he had no business in, and she found that to be an excellent quality. She took a seat further up unwittingly choosing the seat right next to Sora. Normally she would have noticed Cassiopeia, but she was far too upset and far too devoted to finding a place to sit.

At the sound of laughter, Shiori's gaze shifted for a moment, smirking to herself as she caught a rare occurrence. Shiori admired that she arrived just in time to see Arietta abandoned by a boy (Rocco). The boy was someone that Shiori did not know, but he (Rocco) had immediately impressed her. If not for the antagonistic tag along, she might have laughed at the blonde girl's misfortune. The boy (Rocco) continued on towards Devone, a mistake that she personally thought the boy would soon come to regret if he did not handle her with care. Though what did she know? It was none of Shiori's concern, nor did she know what was in anyone else's best interest. Recalling that the pest who hurt her cheek was still buzzing around Shiori turned to the irritating specimen and put one hand on her hip, "Leave me alone already, your ubiquity is an eyesore." She stated in a rude manner, choosing a seat before crossing her legs in a delicate manner. He glared but took his leave, as there were too many witnesses where she chose to sit.

Now that her problem had been settled, Shiori opened her English book and began reading a passage from it to pass the time and to ease her nerves, her fingers trembling from her experience with the bully. The adrenaline running through her veins made it difficult to read, but with each word she read Shiori felt herself slowly calming down, I hope he did not notice how much he affected me. I hope no one else witnessed.... how scared I was. Please don't look at me... When she looked around, Shiori could have frozen solid from mortification. She had never actually spoken to Sora before, but here she was occupying the seat next to him. She half wondered if he would talk to her, but mostly she feared that he might have paid attention to what went on. Her cheek ached, but she paid it no mind, fussing over it or checking it out would only draw unwanted attention to it. Attention always left an overabundance of questions in its wake, she did not have the spirit to answer an onslaught of inquiries.

Rocco walked alongside the one he had heard some interesting things about but the girl didn't pay him any attention. Maybe she hasn't noticed me yet. The auditorium was filling up with students making it trickier for him to maneuver around and stay hot on her heels. Lucky for him, the girl's commotion paired with her reputation was a blessing. Students didn't look as eager as him to be around the blue-haired senior.
Devone could hear footsteps beside her that matched her pace, briefly looking down at her shoes from time to time to see the person next to her would move his left leg when she did. At least, she assumed it was a male judging by the uniform pants. As she wasn't gazing at him any higher than shoes, it was possible that the person trailing her was Bishop but she couldn't be sure. I can't tell two boys apart from their lower half alone for crying out loud. She was growing frustrated, already overwhelmed by how she'd be forced into attending the same high school as him. It was a terrible reminder of who she used to be. Switching schools because of one familiar face certainly wasn't an option. I'd be a laughing stock to run for the hills because of one foolish junior.

"Wait up, Ursula. You look like you could use a friend." Rocco said between smirking lips when the girl quickened her pace, calling her specifically by that sea monster nickname to light a spark in her if she would take offense. Come on, take the bait... his smirk grew in anticipation. He had never spoken to a mean girl before. It was especially curious because this one looked like she worked alone. The only mean girls he had seen operated in packs and were weaklings easy to pick off one by one as they relied on numbers to come across as strong.
Devone wouldn't admit it but she was overcome with relief when she didn't recognize the masculine voice. Maybe Bishop really did get the message loud and clear. It was all she could hope for anyway. "Do I know you?" she asked in a sarcastic tone, not really keen on meeting anyone new at the moment. Devone was a little curious who would be following her and what he would want from her but it was not one of those days where she was looking for entertainment. Looking for entertainment with Akira had only gone so far before all hell broke loose this morning. She wanted to be alone with her thoughts.

"No but you will. Rocco persisted. He wasn’t an easy individual to shake off once his mind was made up. She had left an impression on him and his curiosity was yet to be satiated. Besides, he had nothing left to lose by hanging around her. Reputation? He was just getting started in this school. Friends? He had none. Family? He didn't give two shits about that. Rocco could afford to put all his eggs in one basket. If she lives up to her legacy...
Devone ignored the smug brunette as soon as she heard Mrs. Kita announcing the start of assembly. It was the perfect opportunity to bail on him, picking a vacant seat in between two random people by the front that she failed to recognize. Devone wasn't interested in getting acquainted with her classmates. Most of them were useless distractions anyway. Although, sometimes it was fun to mess with them but only if she had time to spare. How else was she supposed to spend her graduating year? Studying? Please, I don't even need the books to be successful.

Rocco was faced with a dilemma when the girl he was pursuing sat down with no free spots next to her. He knew a normal person would turn around and look for a free seat but he didn't want to do that. "Scoot over peaches." Rocco sat on the edge of a black-haired girl's seat trying to squish himself next to the blue-haired girl but it was very uncomfortable. The sophomore was surprised by Rocco's disturbance but before she could open her mouth, she quickly decided to abandon her seat altogether when he gave her the evil eye. The seat made free for him, he leaned back with his arms folded behind his head and listened to the announcements. "Wow, I didn't know psycho was a subject." he said when Mr. Hayashi's scream echoed through the building.

Devone had witnessed Rocco's persistence from the corner of her eye as he harassed the girl next to her to move it. It was unexpected and he didn't look one bit guilty about it as he relaxed into his seat, going so far as to sit casually slouched even when the announcements continued about the club and class presidents. It was peculiar behavior. Does he have a first-sight crush on me or something? she taunted in the back of her mind as she focused back on the stage. Devone was really confused by his behavior and also, intrigued. Unlike most of her peers, this smug boy didn't appear desperate to be liked. He looked like he didn't care about what anyone thought of him with the way he had handled things. "Hmph, sounds like something you'd be suited for."

Rocco's eyes were hidden by his hair making his smirk look more sinister. He was oddly happy about her insult and took it more as a compliment than an insult. Good guys finish last. Still facing the direction of the staff as they called out the presidency names, he replied "Aww shucks. You're making me blush." He didn't applaud or put his hands together for any of the names, sticking his tongue out when he recognized one of them (Arietta) standing up there. "Boo! I've seen prettier." he mocked her publicly not afraid to get called out as a bully. He wasn't doing it entirely for the blonde's attention either. He wanted to elicit a reaction from the blue-haired Ursula. Care to embarrass another?

"My senpai huh? Well senpai, I think you're one to talk. You gave out your first name. Don't you know better?"

Well, that was a response that she did not expect. However, she was not in a situation to let it show that he caught her off guard, "I'd rather not use my family name. I would rather be known for me, not who I'm related to, you know?" Arietta responded, not missing a single beat after her initial shock. His break of eye contact ticked her off, but she refused to display her annoyance. Looking bad because of a stranger was NOT an option.

"So, which schmuck got your panties in a twist?"

Though there was a first for everything, right? Her blue eyes narrowed a fraction of a millimeter, not amused by the 'schmuck' comment. If anyone was such, it was definitely the boy (Rocco) who invited himself to chat, violate her personal space and even insult her. If she did not care about her image so much, she would have already introduced him to her right hook. It was tempting, but she managed to quell her anger, "Why should I tell you his name if you won't even give me yours?" She countered, tilting her head with a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, all the while her facial expression remaining harmless and playful. She did not like Tadashi being referred to as a schmuck. Not one bit.

While utterly repulsed that he was flicking water on her, water in the end did not cause any bodily harm. She ignored it, realizing that he (Rocco) was trying to get a reaction. Lightly biting the inside of her cheek, she resolved that she was NOT going to do that. She'd play this game, he'd leave eventually anyhow. It was only a matter of time, she simply had to be more patient than him. While not the most patient in the world, this boy gave her newfound motivation.

"And if you genuinely want my name..."

Arietta tilted her head to meet his gaze, noticing his challenging gaze as their eyes met. She smirked at him for a brief moment at the word 'genuinely', but it was erased from her lips before anyone else could take notice. So he knew? Perhaps that had something to do with his escalating rude behavior? She felt that there was more to it, but it wasn't like she cared. He was already on her shit list. As far as Arietta's perception of him was concerned: She wouldn't be caught dead in his presence a second time.

"-you're going to have to find out on your own sunshine."

"Trust me when I say that I honestly couldn't care less~" she chimed with a giggle. It was always best to smile at one's enemies, at least that's what her grandmother often said. Her friendly expression as she spoke to the stranger (Rocco) threw off those watching, no one seemed to noticed that she was saying something wicked when she emitted such a pleasant aura. When he kept walking, Arietta received a text, waving goodbye to the brunet male (Rocco). She pretended to be occupied with someone more interesting than him on her phone, as if it were an important text, but it was only from her grandmother. No one else needed to know that though!

From: Oba-chan<3

Arie~ Have a wonderful day at school! You forgot your Bento!

Arietta immediately felt a wave of dread. How could she have forgotten to grab food!? Now she was going to be hungry and grumpy all day! However, before she could pout any further, her ears began to bleed, just kidding!! Though they were definitely ringing...

"SIT DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION WHEN WE'RE SPEAKING TO YOU!"

Ugh! I hate Mr. Hayashi!!! Arietta thought to herself. She closed her eyes and counted to ten, attempting to soothe her rage. At this point she felt like hulking out. It seemed like EVERYTHING that could go wrong was today. She just wanted to crawl into a hole and die. At least she would be out this hell and free of her misery. The microphone was thankfully passed to Mrs. Kita, and Arietta let out a relieved sigh. She was fond of the blonde Sensei, whether it was the fact that they both had blonde hair or Mrs. Kita's feminine charm, she was by far Arietta's favorite teacher.

"So today is a special day for all students where we announce the student presidencies! These students have been voted by their peers to be model examples for the rest of the school and lead their respective classes and clubs. It is such an honor!"

"Class president? I wouldn't be caught dead..." Arietta giggled to one of the girls sitting next to her, who nodded and snickered along. The girl wasn't especially bright or beautiful, but she was pretty good at being part of Arietta's posse. The blonde and blue eyed senior absolutely hated being ignored and left out. She was already plotting revenge against the brunet male (Rocco) that attempted to make a laughing stock out of her. While he did impress those second rate girls, Arietta wasn't going to let a tasteless moron ruin her day any longer. She would pay him back ten fold for the annoyance he brought to her morning. That was a promise.

"When I announce your name, please join me on stage to receive your presidency badges and deliver a speech so we can learn more about you and your plans or whatever it is you would like to share! It is your moment to stand in the spotlight."

Spotlight? If it's spotlight they want, they would join Showstoppers. Class presidents are dweebs... Arietta rolled her eyes at the thought, nudging the girl beside her with a grin. No words were spoken, at this point it wasn't necessary. The girl knew exactly what Arietta was getting at just by the look in her eyes.

"Starting with club presidents!"

Well, at least we start off right. If we started out with class presidents the room would die of boredom before clubs were even mentioned. Arietta crossed her legs, waiting to be called up front. This would surely make up for everything else that had gone wrong and possibly reset her morning on a brighter note. Applause always put Arietta in a better mood.

"Fujioka, Yuuki for the Overachiever's Committee,
Belrose, Aeon for Kyudo Elites,
Giou, Ryou for Basketball Conquerors,
Browning, Rhys for Upstream,
Fukui, Gen for Inryoku"

Being the social butterfly that she was, Arietta knew all of the names announced so far. She smiled to herself, happy for those that were chosen. She was glad that she knew all of the club leaders that were listed so far, it would make things easier if she needed to pluck a showstopper from one of their clubs for a little extra grind time on the stage before performances.

"Hakushiro, Arietta for Showstoppers"

Finally, about time. Arietta thought to herself and rose from her seat with a skip in her step, she waved to those who waved at her and made her way onto the stage with a devil-may-care attitude.

"Boo! I've seen prettier."

Arietta mockingly blew the boy (Rocco) a kiss and shook her head and his comment off, standing confidently on the stage despite his jeer. If one guy's comment was enough to shake her composure than she would not have been suited for stage performances. She wasn't going to stoop to his level. Instead she cheerfully but quietly congratulated those already standing on the stage, "Congratulations, Belrose-Kun, Giou-kun, Yuuki-Chan~!" Though her eyes landed on Rhys in surprise. She recognized him from the day before. He was the boy she nearly bumped into and also the one who carried Sora out when he was hurt. She had joined the swimming team to see shirtless guys as the club had displayed during the recruitment and he was the captain.. Wasn't he a Freshman? She couldn't help but be a little impressed. She mouthed the word 'congratulations' to him, seeing as they had only met once, and she did not wish to speak again else she might end up on the receiving end of Mr. Hayashi's frustration. It wasn't HER fault that his nephew was a royal pain in the ass. Why did he always have to be so anal? She proceeded and mouthed the same congratulations to Gen, a warm smile presented to her fellow showstopper.

"Harigae, Sora for Social Society,
And finally, Kitogawa, Tsukiko for Resonance!"

While she wasn't all that familiar with Sora, she quietly clapped to avoid a scolding from Mr. Hayashi when his name was announced and did the same for the next name, even though the girl did not seem to be anywhere in sight at the time. Well, to be fair, Arietta had no idea who she was. For all she knew, whoever Tsukiko was, they could have been sitting in the front row the entire time. When the crowd began clapping, Arietta's lips curved into a genuine smile. She waved to the crowd, glancing to those standing beside of her. She absolutely loved the feeling of standing on stage with a crowd of people cheering and clapping below. It was intoxicating, the best high that Arietta had ever experienced.

"Oh my! Some of our chosen class presidents are already on stage so to save time I will also announce this right away and you can make one whole speech instead of two. How wonderful!
Fujioka, Yuuki for female Junior Class President,
Blake, Akira for male Junior Class President,
Harigae, Sora for male Senior Class President,
and Kitogawa, Shiori for female Senior Class President!!!"

"Congratulations, Akira-kun, Yuuki-Chan, Harigae-San~" Arietta smiled, completely ignoring Shiori as if she did not know her. She knew that girl all too well, but she wasn't going to spoil things by acknowledging her presence. Arietta preferred to overlook those she was not particularly on good terms with. She settled down as speeches commenced, painfully aware of Yuuki's stage fright the second that the girl began speaking. While Arietta only saw Yuuki as a harmless charity case, it did make her feel a little sympathy for the nerdy and socially inept girl. Arietta did her part by clapping and cheering when Yuuki's speech was done. Her attention shifted from the violet haired girl's plight to Aeon's speech. While she was not head over heels for the guy, she certainly understood why others were. She did the clapping that was expected of her, but it was Ryou's speech that really caught her attention. His standoffish demeanor and harsh words left her baffled. The girls begging him to glare at them again was the icing on the cake to his speech. She couldn't help but laugh when he was done, and clapped anyhow despite the cold message he delivered. The popular guys never ceased to bring her amusement, their fan clubs were simply too obsessed for their own good.

"Thank you, a deserved congratulations to you. You forgot Kitogawa-san."

With a tilt of her head, Arietta hid the fact that she had been found out rather well, her eyes widening being the only indication, but if called for she would shrug it off and claim it was simply her being shocked that she had overlooked a fellow senior, "Did I? Gomenasai~" Arietta chimed as she feigned guilt, even though she felt absolutely none. The apology wasn't really sincere, but she stated it in a sugar coated tone to give it a little authenticity. However, she did not even attempt to mend the 'error', so she couldn't have been that sorry in the eyes of anyone paying attention. Arietta would not congratulate Shiori if her own life depended on it, she stubbornly refused. She pretended to tune into the speeches to get out of extending congratulations toward her worst enemy, hoping that was enough to keep those around her none the wiser. After the other speeches came to an end, it seemed that she was called ahead of time for some reason or another. Gen was supposed to go first, but Arietta really didn't mind. While it added to her nerves, Arietta smiled brightly and approached the mic anyway. She wasn't used to giving speeches, but she figured as long as she was charming and came across as passionate it wouldn't really matter what she said. She would just speak from the heart, because being on stage was what Arietta loved more than anything in the entire world.

"Ohayo~ I suppose I'll be going next. As president of Showstoppers I would like to extend an invitation to anyone who enjoys the fine arts and has a fiery determination to better their acting skills. While it may seem a bit lame to some of you, we in Showstoppers view theater as far more than just a 'club'. To us, it is a way of life, a beautiful portrayal brought together as a masterpiece when we all work together." She paused to smile to the crowd, glancing upon everyone as she improvised what she was going to say next. She had been in the middle of mental preparation moments before, but it was cut short.

The show had to go on however, so she continued speaking, not entirely sure of what she was going to say next. However, the words managed to flow out nicely enough and she through the grace of God was able to speak without stuttering or using the dreaded 'um' and 'uh', "While our doors are open and accepting to all, those who seek to slack off will not remain a part of Showstoppers for long. So, I hope to see the new recruits soon and start some skits, I'll do my best to help each and every actor and actress in Showstoppers. I want to thank everyone who voted for me, have a great day everyone!" Arietta chimed before bowing politely to her peers. She basked in the applause for a moment before calmly retreating from the microphone and returning to her seat. She didn't care what that boy (Rocco) had to say about her now because the cheering and applauding made everything in Arietta's warped sense of reality alright once more.

Arietta settled in her seat, prepared to listen to the rest of the speeches, but Sora's words still rang loud and clear within her mind. She hated Shiori for the sole fact that the ebony haired girl did not fall for her bullshit, and now it seemed that the brunet boy she had met earlier (Rocco), would be a male version of the girl she hated most. No one really knew of her hatred for Shiori as Arietta usually sabotaged the girl from behind the scenes and Shiori was too wimpy to call her out on it or report it. Arietta threw Shiori's wallet in the toilet once, filled her locker with birds, and even rats at one point. All of Shiori's belongings had been chewed up or crapped on the year before, but Arietta had a whole new set of ideas for the new year. The next speech was coming up, and Arietta knew that Sora was supposed to be up next, deciding to pay keen attention to his speech. He never failed to amuse after all. Then her eyes landed on Rhys, he was the swimming captain?? She looked him over, deciding that perhaps the team would at least give her eye candy to look at aside from her junior partner. She felt like some kind of sick pedo every time she let her eyes appraise Bishop. Their roles as senior-freshman partners left him deeply inside of the friendzone, as wrong and as stereotypical as that was. Arietta just couldn't shake that he came across as too young, even though he was the same age as the taller male she was secretly staring at. It felt like a betrayal to Tadashi, but Arietta reminded herself not to get too serious. If she let him in too close, he would discover her secret, then he and everyone else would hate her for all of the lies she's told. Not to mention, if anyone found out that she was bullying Shiori it could quite possibly lead to her expulsion. I have to keep everyone at arms length. I can't let any of them in, it's too risky. What if whoever discovered her secret did not like what they saw? What if her inner demons were too much for them?

Gen would look between the two men in her company, Rhys and Kei sharing a gaze exchange for whatever reason as it was unknown to her. All she could gather was that the two were already acquainted. It wasn't too surprising with them both being juniors but there was a hint of passive aggressiveness. Rhys greeted them both before suggesting locating seats to which Kei agreed, "Wanna go sit with him, the more the merrier, eh?" Gen acted clueless, smiling with an innocent look about her. "Sure darling~" It did trouble her what could be going on between them but for the moment, they were at least making an effort to be civil. She couldn't say the same about her approach towards Aeon or anyone she detested for that matter. Gen wouldn't be able to hold it in for too long without exploding.

She smiled a little brighter as Kei's gentlemanly manners continued to their seats, allowing her to sit in the middle. Although, it was probably for the best with what little observation she had of them interacting. She carefully brushed her uniform's skirt under her bottom before sitting down with her hands folded neatly over her lap. Her purple eyes found their way to her taller male friend Rhys, observing that his uniform wasn't in the best state as a result of the rainy weather. "Do you have a spare uniform to change into? You might catch a cold." she said worriedly but before she could receive a proper response, the assembly was in session.

There was nothing particularly unusual to Gen about the Airdalen announcements from the mathematics teacher's senseless yelling to the names being announced for presidency positions. Gen had to restrain herself from sighing aloud and voicing her real inner thoughts when Aeon was undoubtedly elected. How such a hollow man had earned fans and respect was exceedingly an annoying reality for her. Although a word would not pass her thin lips, her crucifix eyes said it all. She hated that man on stage. If looks could kill, he would surely be dead. She pondered on what her father would think of her if he discovered her newfound hatred for one of his employers.

She straightened her posture further when she heard her name being called out as president for Inryoku. As a senior, she was already aware that she was elected but hearing it announced officially still gave her chills. Her junior self would be proud of how far she had come from the 'cursed girl' to the 'charming popular' she had become now. Kei gave her and Rhys the thumbs up moving out of the way for them to proceed to the stage, "Congratz, Fukui-Senpai, Browning-San." Gen automatically turned to look at Rhys, having somehow missed the announcement on his election. "Congratulations Rhys!" she said pleasantly before returning her attention to Kei as Rhys walked ahead. "Thank you, dear~" she briefly bowed her head in appreciation before walking in a giddy fashion towards the front, not noticing the male audience whistling in the background for their charming Inryoku hostess and not noticing that she had called her newly met junior by the fond nickname dear.

Gen returned the congratulations with a whisper when she noticed Arietta's by the time she joined the stage. Much like her fellow showstopper, Gen also shared a love for the stage but no two people are the same. She wasn't entirely sure what Arietta's reasons were for loving performances but Gen had a love for theatre that defined her. On stage, she could be whoever she wanted to be, live whatever life she wanted to live and for a brief moment, get swept away by a fantasy of a world beyond reach. It was her passion, her escape, her ideal dream that would play out until the curtains were closed. Whenever her two dainty feet crossed the wooden floorboards, Gen would feel confident that in this moment in time she had a role to play and that the show must go on. It was as if she was an integral part of something bigger, something more. As she glanced around at the presidents called forward on stage with her, that sense of happiness still resided within her. Her happiest times had been on a stage much like this one.

Before she could get too lost in her thoughts, a teacher had called her aside and she hesitated. Gen's insecurities began to build up and she started to question if she was about to lose her position. A wave of relief washed over her when she walked behind the stage curtain to receive a familiar folder. A lot of relief. It appeared she was going to receive a new junior and her previous junior had left the school. Reading the ID and staring at the photo clipped to the folder, she didn't recognize Rocco but would be happy to take him under her wing. Her previous junior had been a disaster. Maybe lady luck was being kind?

Gen returned to standing under the stage lights but she had missed a few speeches. Not wanting to be rude or disorderly, she decided to stand at the very back of the line to wait for her turn. It meant she would be going last and her speech would be the freshest in everyone's minds perhaps adding to the pressure of her role but she stood firm albeit tensing up inside. Come now, one must be used to these things if running a club! she encouraged herself to think optimistically right up to the point she had approached the microphone. Gen didn't have any words prepared and it was a little hard to think of some when her host club customers were egging her on. She understood they meant well but the little insecure voices in her head were messing with her.

Gen cleared her throat, "Ohayo gozaimasu~ My name is Fukui, Gen. As the last person to speak, I would like to extend congratulations to all of Airdalen's newly elected presidents. It is an honor to be Inryoku's president and to have the opportunity to work alongside all of you in the future. I look forward to it." she bowed her head gently to show courteous respect.
"To the Inryoku in-waiting and potentially interested members, I implore you to remember that it is our duty to cater to the needs of our clients first and foremost. You must be prepared to adapt, listen and keep an open mind. While most clubs will focus on team or personal growth, Inryoku focuses also on observing the growth and wellbeing of others. You have to be willing to give more than you take, to invest in others and smile when times are tough to keep morale at Airdalen up. If you experience difficulty in these areas, you are more than welcome to chat with me and join us still if you are open to learning on the job." she paused, her eyes lingering on the familiar faces in the crowd. It helped her calm down a bit and regain her bearings.
"And to our customers or those looking for even the simplest of pleasures be it coffee, tea, a warm glass of milk or a bit of lighthearted conversation? I invite you." Gen smiled with her pearly whites and when the applause was over, descended from the stage with her head held high. While her expression and poise didn't betray her, her heart did as it continued to beat in an almost painful consistent rhythm. *sigh* I hope I made the right impression on those who don't know me yet.

She returned to her seat, opening her mouth slightly about to ask maybe either Rhys or Kei how her speech went because she wasn't confident in the last minute task but decided against it. It wasn't the right time and she didn't want to make her insecurity obvious. The day was just not that much easier when she lacked beauty sleep. Her body felt tense and heavier than it normally would.

"Wonderful!"

Mrs. Kita picked up the microphone from the podium and slowly moved across the stage while poking her chin in thought, almost forgetting what was to happen next until the bell rang.

"Oh alrighty! I almost forgot to announce our Halloween best-dressed winners Argyris Cassiopeia and Miyamoto Kazuki! As a reward, you two will be dining for free at any restaurant of your choice for lunch today! Yay~! Everyone else also please enjoy your break and dismissed!"

Johnny “Jay” Farelli

—

“He’s so cool, glare at us more!” Johnny had no idea what the many girls were cheering for. Riou-san was a cool dude, but he didn’t really see what made girls so… oddly lustful. They reacted like the Beatles fangirls in their prime. Ryou didn’t strike Johnny as John Lennon or anything. If anything Ryou only had larger muscles, and was technically overweight. If it was an issue of muscle, The foreigner had a far more defined physique, not unlike Bruce Lee. He didn’t imagine the girls were swooning at the curves of biceps and strong jawlines.

The annoyance Ryou clearly displayed reminded the foreigner of Roger Waters, when he spat at fans trying to climb the net shortly before he came up with The Wall. The Wall… Hmm… Perhaps there was something bothering the foreigner’s senpai? Johnny hadn’t considered that before. He made a mental note to ask about it at an appropriate time.

I’m feeling excellent about this team, Johnny noted to himself regardless. Just like the swimming team, the basketball team is led by a righteous dude. The foreigner knew he’d be a valued asset, but he won’t be relied on. That’s only what a boy as strong and fast as Johnny could ask for in terms of challenge. Being the positive thinker like he wanted himself to be, Johnny did not hold the annoyed attitude of his senpai against him. After all, like a lot of the Japanese language, there’s definitely something the foreigner was missing.

A lot of Fujioka’s and Belrose’s speech was lost on the foreginer, for they used a lot of bigger words than was normally required for an everyday conversation. It was clear they were both intellectuals, and in the case of the silver-haired dude, an elite. Johnny wondered if they knew English fluently. In this day and age, English and Mandarin would be required languages to function in the high-end global markets. Fujioka seemed like one who would be striving for a global market. Belrose probably is part of a global market already.

Gen’s an elite, isn’t she? At least, she carried herself like one. Johnny’s eyes rested on Gen’s for a moment, and he gave a thumbs-up. He had no idea what ‘Inryuko’ was, but the foreigner knew a cool cat like Gen would do very well if she was president. Of course, he had no actual knowledge of her credentials. Being the dumbass he is, he always trusted that “gut feeling”. Maybe if he had the time, he’d go to find out what ‘Inryuko’ was. He imagined it was something like a chess club, or sewing club. Considering how well-dressed she usually was, maybe it was the latter?

Being an American, he reacted as respectfully as any American would when a girl like Tsukiko flaunted what Avery called “the goods”. With a sharp whistle he produced when he put two fingers to his mouth. For a moment, he legitimately forgot he was in a different country with a different culture. Soon enough, he caught himself. Fuck! Too late, though… dumbass… There had to be a reason for his sudden American antics. This isn’t his old home… but something triggered memories of home.

That dark-skinned girl. His flash of seeing a ghost, hanging with his friends, skateboarding, B-balling, B-boying, everything he and the other guys did on account of the ghetto having no computers. Well, there were the ones in the library, and Avery eventually got his own courtesy of his music shop parents having a good few months… but… I gotta leave it behind, he thought as his eyes glazed into that thousand-yard stare.

It was a full thirty seconds before he realized the state he was in. He shook his head and returned his attention to the assembly. Unfortunately, he had missed what he thought was Tsukiko’s speech entirely. Some friend I am… I’ll have to talk with her later, he vowed to himself. He did notice something… off… as she left the stage very unlike her usual exits from old youtube videos. Maybe it’s part of her cover? She is a bit of a secret pop star… I think… Man that’s just a reasoned assumption all things considered…

His mind focused on Tsukiko because his concern for others was all he had to get rid of the thousand-yard stare. Living in the ghetto taught him that the world was cruel. Being the top athlete in school taught him he needed to be an idol, something others aspire to be like. Airdalen would be the school where the foreigner learned to become the best of the best. The students around him will see him shine yet. That performance at the clubs was only the beginning.

Now properly hyped, he was just in time to cheer on the blue-haired boy who had been punched-up just yesterday. His cheering was interrupted by jeering from other male students down by the front row. “Hey come on, let the dude spit,” Johnny’s deep voice pierced the jeering and booing. Where he’s from, “Spit” meant “speak”, or rather, “rap”, in the context of a rap battle. He huffed as he remembered he was supposed to be speaking Japanese. “Let the man speak,” he corrected himself in the technically native language. Those who did turn around, who were not already silenced by the teachers, would see the tall, muscular foreigner giving a stern, yet kind look. Every one who got a look at the gleaming, piercing emerald eyes immediately turned back and kept relative silence. They then whispered things to each other the foreigner couldn’t catch. “Holy shit that gaijin looks scary up close,” was basically what they did. “You hear his sloppy language? Fuckin’ roided out, I bet. How’d a dumbass like him get into this school? It’s a disgrace… Defending that guy though... you don’t think he’s gay?”

Sora’s speech in general was blunt… and oddly focused on himself more than the goals of the club. Considering the response of the ruder students, perhaps there was a reason for it? Was it stage fright, or was that nasty hit from yesterday beginning to take the long-term toll? The foreigner eyed Sora closely, watching for any tell-tale signs of some sports health problem. Shivering hands, or slight spasms. None of the sort happened, at least, not from Johnny’s perspective.

Good vibes, Johnny, good vibes, he relaxed a little in his seat as Sora left abruptly without signs of lightheadedness. Tsukiko was then the next one up. Oh! I didn’t miss her speech then! he thought, but wait… whose speech did I miss? Johnny whooped when Tsukiko finished her speech, and pumped a fist in the air. “Yeah! Music Club get hype!” Evidently, he did not know the proper Japanese term for “hype”, so he wound up whooping that in English. His doofy, yet genuine grin would hopefully translate the gist of what he was saying. He did not catch on the innuendo.

The other students, however, couldn’t possibly know that. “Get a load of this jackass,” the students down in front whispered in regards to the foreigner, if only for a second, so they could return to enjoying the view of the very attractive pink-haired girl.

I get the feeling those dudes aren’t friendly…

Next up was the dude who took one for the team yesterday. He seemed really chipper all things considered. The speech was short and concise, the best-case scenario for someone who at-first seemed to be suffering from a little stage fright. Johnny caught the lip-biting. How could he not? Still, a Junior class president, that would be a lot of responsibility, maybe too much for the foreigner, given all the stuff he has to go through. Also, Akira being announced as the Male junior class president made the foreigner confident that his betting money was already hard-won. If only he had voiced the bet to others. He’d probably have… like… twelve hundred yen or something… That’s like, four sodas… or a six-pack in the sales section.

Next up was Tsukiko’s... cousin? Family member in general, that much Johnny knew. Something was wrong… Last time Johnny had seen her was in a well-made witch costume. Last time Johnny saw her, there was no odd markings on her cheeks. Johnny’s eyes widened as he recognized the markings. Fingers… pinching tight, with a vice-like grip. Whatever caused that very likely had an effect on the poor girl’s speech. It was concise… but also sharp as a razor, mechanical and cold. “Who…” he wondered as he could make out the bruises he imagined not many would recognize, as he saw her eyes almost… retreat. Another bully in this school? Not in this school… Not in this place that accepted me. I’ll… I’ll… No… no she wouldn’t want that. Kitogawa-san probably told the teachers. They probably figured it all out out. Calm down. This isn’t America… but still…

“It’s starting to feel like America,” he hummed low. His thoughts were vanquished when Gen-san stepped up to the plate with her own speech as the president of the thing called “Inryoku”. Her speech was crisp, well-worded, and formal… and that meant the foreigner couldn’t register all of it. However, compared to the last few speeches, Johnny knew it was incredibly competent. He pumped a fist into the air with a cheer. As Gen returned to her own seat, Johnny leaned a little to speak, “Great speech, Gen-san!” he smiled. It didn’t matter that he didn’t understand all of it.

It was then that the ditzy teacher returned to the microphone. Johnny still had no idea what she taught, or even if she had the capacity to maintain the focus to teach. However, the announcement was made, two names were mentioned, and a well-learned word “Lunch” was mentioned. Johnny slung the ukulele over his shoulder, over top of his backpack, and turned to the ones who were with Gen. “Hello,” he greeted as he repeated the same Japanese phrase he always used to introduce himself. “My name is Johnny Farelli, but you can call me Jay.”

"Boo! I've seen prettier."
Devone's curiosity peaked when the brown-haired boy (Rocco) thought it would be entertaining to pick on someone's looks. Let's see... Her blue eyes didn't delay looking to the front to find who he was talking about but she didn't expect that someone to be Arietta. The blonde senior didn't falter, blowing a kiss his way before moving on. She's popular, no? She returned her eyes to establishing eye contact with Rocco and was perceptive enough to catch onto what he was trying to do. He was trying to egg her on to show off her mean side. What? Does he think such a small thing like that would impress me? Devone wasn't sure if she had ever crossed paths with the showstoppers president but there were no quarrels to be had. "How elementary." she commented with closed dissatisfied eyes, her fingers running down her hair as she tucked it neatly behind an ear.

The speeches droned on and did nothing to keep Devone's interest for long. Dare she say it, but she found Ryou's speech to be the funniest. He appeared to be the only president who didn't care all too much about his position. It was amusing to think that serious man was holding her in his arms one night and publicly telling off all his admirers today. She could barely contain herself, a smug smirk surfacing her face as she imagined the jealousy keeping up the female populace at night because of her. Devone lived for making others uncomfortable. Make no mistake, she was well aware her and Ryou would return to their old lives again. There was no doubt about it actually. Would they even pass each other by without so much as a hello? To most people, that would be a sad thought but to Devone, it served as a convenient truth. She didn't need friends. People were an ugly investment or so she'd say.

Devone rolled her eyes at that. Of course, of course, she didn't expect to win the contest. Nobody at this forsaken school had any appreciation for her contribution, her generosity towards those less fortunate. But I should have won the gold for beauty. Is everyone blind? Well, she didn't need a free meal anyhow let alone a forced one she reasoned. She shook her head and looked over to the tag along one more time before heading her own way (Rocco). "I'd appreciate it if you didn't stalk me pigeon. A girl has things to do, people to see... you'll only get in my way." she advised before pulling out her business card out of a slip in her phone case. It would leave him content enough to heed her words and he had some style. There was something different about this boy that might be useful in the future. "But if you insist."she threw the card on his lap in a manner that showed she didn't care if he accepted it or not. It was his decision to make and she didn't need him. Most likely, he was the one in need of her. I wonder if he's scholarship prey... oh well. she thought as she walked through the auditorium with her shoes echoed every step of the way and her head held high.

The rumors were circling, she could hear them so clearly. So many girls, more than she could count despised her even more now because of her Halloween date selection. Devone wanted to laugh at their pitiful obsession but instead wore a confident smile as she passed them like the insignificant pigeons in her life that they were. They couldn't touch her. She'd ruin them quickly. There was no competition for who would emerge victorious if they wanted to fight dirty. Devone had committed girl code crimes more numerous than the whole student body combined and then some more. Nobody could kick her down from the pedestal she was crafted to sit upon. No one.

High on the amount of attention she was receiving, Devone felt a little daring. She was back in her element after the fiasco with Bishop and her next target would be someone she hadn't talked to before. Cassiopeia was busy talking to that junior (Rhys) who became Upstream's president and Shiori whom she recognized from their shared senior classes. Hmm? Devone had no clue what was going on there but the handsome male winner for best dressed was looking a little lonely. She had some fun with the untouchable Ryou, so why not spread her wings further? Needless to say, she knew what she was getting into. Kazuki had some notorious rumors floating around too.

Devone's steps lead her ever so closer to him until she brushed her side against his and stopped midway. It was a calculated accident in the crowd that was leaving for lunch time. Her gaze shifted upwards at the true lust demon of them both. "Oh, didn't see you there." she lied through her teeth as she feigned looking around like a lost puppy. "I thought you were on a date with Argyris-san? You shouldn't keep a lady waiting..." Her eyes locked onto his again even as she took a step forward out of his personal space with a bit of a tease over her shoulder, licking the tip of her finger. "Unless, you'd rather be the meal." she said followed by a dangerous devious smirk that embodied her true self, the act of innocent over and flicking her long silk hair over her shoulder that made heads turn and mouths drop. Devone didn't know what to expect from him but that was part of the fun. If he somehow decided not to take action then it was his loss, not hers. She didn't need validation. She just wanted... an experiment.

Rocco whistled his farewell at Ursula, watching her turn away from him after tossing a business card. He let the card fall into his lap, only picking it up when the dark haired girl escaped his vision. He flicked the card over and between his fingers effortlessly when he was done reading like a magic trick. A business woman huh? I should have known. He was happy to receive a pretty girl's number but he wasn't happy that every experience was short lived. He wasn't making any real acquaintances who would stick around and endure him. I still did a lot better than that blonde guy she rejected. Probably playing hard-to-get. Let's see...Arietta, Devone. Who to meet next? He stashed the card away in a small pocket of his bag before slinging the strap over his shoulder. He had only socialized with senior girls so he was hoping to meet someone new his own age that he'd share classes with.

It wasn't long while he walked before more rumors caught his attention. It seemed that Airdalen as classy as it was, still had a liking for them as any other high school environment did. "S-She might hear us guys.. I heard she's not even human... Do they plant Artificial intelligence Robots in lower class as a social experiment?" It was the most outrageous rumor he had ever heard in his life. Rocco snickered as he passed the group, contemplating how money could blind people and make them so naive. Those high-class snobs must be either over-reliant on technology or jealous to come up with the bizarre theory that a student wasn't even human but it was interesting indeed. His brown eyes rolled to the side where the group's gaze was directed at to see it was the same junior girl (Yuuki) that got announced for that study club and the class presidency. With violet short trimmed hair and eyes of gold, she was seated on the floor alone eating what looked to be a bland homemade meal. "Itadakimasu.." He blinked a few times observing the accused A.I talk to the air.

He crept up towards the girl through the waves of people, dropping his bag in front of her with a thud to get her attention and see if it would manage to startle her. "What are you doing by yourself class prez?" he asked in a straight forward way before sitting down. He crossed his legs and unzipped his bag to grab his lunch, not asking for permission to join Yuuki or anything. Rocco was making himself feel welcome but he knew if she really didn't like him, she could just get up and leave at any time. But the fact she chose to eat in the auditorium at all and not flee to the bathroom shows she doesn't really care about the rest of us. He pulled out a sandwich from a paper bag and munched into it generously, not possessing the etiquette of the upper class. He gulped down a bite before smiling, "I'm a junior too so let's get along. We'll be seeing plenty of each other." Rocco continued to smile but his tone came across a little sinister.

"What are you doing by yourself class prez?"

As she was doing her best to avoid paying attention to those around her, Yuuki nearly leaped from her own skin when the bag dropped. She half expected it to be one of the girls or another bully, but she instead met the face of the unfamiliar voice that had addressed her (Rocco). Her golden eyes hesitantly lifted to the owner of the voice. The boy (Rocco) had reddish brown hair, and brown eyes. He was not extraordinarily handsome like Aeon, but he had his own sort of appeal. He had more of a young 'cute' face than anything. From her quick assessment, he seemed to be at least five inches taller than she was, perhaps a little bit more. From the floor it was hard to judge such things correctly, but she was certain that there was an obvious difference in their height, "I did not come here to make friends, so I do not have the type of relationship required for such a thing." Yuuki admitted without sugarcoating her words, but she wasn't rude about it either. As the girls had teased, she answered almost robotically. If the student body wanted someone who would fake their way through their presidency and attempt to be diplomatic regardless of how they truly felt, they definitely chose the wrong girl for the job. She was completely tactless and spoke her mind because she was not trying to impress anyone. She had no reason to hold her thoughts back.

For the most part, Yuuki had forgotten how nice having friends had felt. It had been so long since she had spent time with anyone 'just for fun' that Yuuki could no longer remember what she even did for fun as a little girl. Being little without worrying about her father, it felt like ages ago, she could barely remember a time when her father was not sick. Her childhood friends had all but faded from her memory, their voices forever lost to her. She could no longer remember anything about them aside from their silhouettes. She blinked as the auburn haired boy sat down, more than a little shocked that he did not follow the customs of asking permission, but she let it slide for the moment.

"I'm a junior too so let's get along. We'll be seeing plenty of each other."

"I'm sure we will get along without conflict." Yuuki responded politely in a formal manner, not completely unaware of his tone. She took a bite of the rice in her bento, slowly and quietly chewing. As far as eating was concerned, Yuuki was very well mannered despite her family being dangerously poor. Her mother made sure that her child grew up to be well-mannered and often scolded Yuuki as a child for eating too quickly or making any sort of mess. Then her eyes shifted to the boy that joined her for lunch, overall ignoring his bad table manners as she was used to witnessing such etiquette at her middle school. This was, after all, Yuuki's first time spending every day with rich kids, "Though I take my duties as class president very seriously." She stated in a casual tone, subtly placing emphasis on the word very. She wasn't picking a fight with him, but she wanted to make it known that she was not going to pick favorites or overlook any rule breaking to 'keep the peace'. As far as she was concerned the students here fit into two categories; Slackers and Academics . She found it unlikely that the academic students would not break the rules in the first place, and she had no pity for the slackers. Taking a sip from her cannister, Yuuki then held out her hand.

The girl's hands were pale and delicate, but it was outstretched to him firmly as if Yuuki was about to shake hands with a business partner, "Just for formality's sake, I am Fujioka, Yuuki... Who might I be addressing...?" She asked with a curious quirk of her violet brow. While she wasn't very interested in a personal sense, however, she did have to socialize with her classmates as the freshman class president, so she put forth a genuine effort to get to know him. ...Well, as genuine as a girl like Yuuki ever could be at her current state. Yuuki made a mental note that remembering names would be very important from now on. It seemed she would get approached by her classmates a lot more, if this was any indication of what she should expect in the future... This position is just going to be one headache after another... Best to just suck it up then, I suppose... It seems that everyone at this school is a wolf in sheep's clothing... Yuuki wasn't really thrilled to have this new responsibility, but it was definitely good for her, whether she admitted it or not. This lifestyle she chose wasn't exactly healthy after all. Living alone and spending most of her time avoiding people... it wasn't natural.

Rocco observed the accused A.I some more from being startled by his approach to her good mannerisms. He didn't believe the rumors even when she did answer robotically. "I did not come here to make friends, so I do not have the type of relationship required for such a thing." An honest one, huh? Yuuki's bluntness and attentiveness did make her easier to talk to compared to the Showstoppers president. It wasn't like her sights would be set on another shmuck instead of him and conversation wouldn't be a total bore. “We’re all here for one reason or another.” His carefree expression faded for a time as thoughts of home flowed through his mind. He didn't miss home and feelings of resentment were starting to bubble up to the surface that he'd almost choke on his very breath. Instead, he cleared his throat and offered that they get along. It didn't make any difference that she didn't want friends. Rocco wasn't interested in making real friends too. He'd call it that term if it came around to it but keep his personal feelings at an arm's length.

"I'm sure we will get along without conflict." Rocco smiled before taking more bites from his sandwich. He was a fast eater, used to rushing his meals to avoid being faced with his dad awkwardly at the table. “That's the spirit. See, you're warming up to me already.” He gave her a thumbs up of encouragement, his tone very light and casual. It'd make anyone think he had known Yuuki for a long time to not be put off by her serious nature but he just had the ability to make himself comfortable in any crowd. "Though I take my duties as class president very seriously." Rocco raised his knees against his chest and leaned forward a tad to squint at her, not hiding that he was analyzing miss class prez. He didn't doubt that she took her responsibilities seriously, he was just mildly curious if Yuuki was a what-you-see-is-what-you-get deal. Is it really that simple? The violet haired girl had a mysterious air about her but her appearance down to the way she talked was the formula of a model student. Ha, well it's not hard to tell how she got into Airdalen. The school probably wishes we were all like that.

It wasn't like he was invading her personal space as he stared at her for a few minutes until she outstretched her hand towards him. "Just for formality's sake, I am Fujioka, Yuuki... Who might I be addressing...?" Rocco didn't delay in swinging his hand into her grasp dispelling any formality that was once there in the handshake. It just didn't suit him to be that way. Despite his lean figure, he did enjoy sports and his athletic strength would dominate any control she had in it if there was any doubt. "I'm Murray, Rocco class prez." He gave his name pleasantly when compared to his previous introduction to Arietta because compared to the blonde, Yuuki had a much more interesting disposition that compelled him to stick around. Plus the fact he got sore about being second in attention to an unknown schmuck...

Without permission as he does most things, he lingered on their joint hands and traced his thumb down the centre of her palm. "Just wondering but how do you spend your free time? Hobbies... interests?" He was trying to gauge a reaction from the mellow class president, his touch gentle and his voice lowering indicating intimate intentions. Rocco wanted to know if Yuuki would stay firm like a stone or hesitate under the pressure. An A.I has no feelings but high school girls, do... especially the lonely ones. He looked at her with a trace of mischief in his smirk, "I'm just a new student with a lot of free time on my hands. As the class prez, maybe you can recommend me something to keep me occupied?" he shrugged, his other hand cupping his chin as he waited for her to respond.

“We’re all here for one reason or another.”

Gold eyes watched the boy sitting there very carefully. Yuuki wasn't sure what his angle was, but very few chose to sit with her without having one intention or another. The last time a boy with auburn hair sat with her, Sora had ended up in the infirmary. She couldn't help but feel a little on edge, "Indeed.." Yuuki quietly responded before she took another bite of rice, chewing very slowly, focusing on the food as much as possible to keep a calm demeanor. Then the boy's eerily happy expression seemed to vanish. Yuuki wasn't quite sure what the cause of it was, but she did not speak about it. It was none of her business, and most importantly, she wasn't about to make it her business either. The violet haired girl took a drink from her thermos, noting that the auburn haired boy was back to normal shortly after. Flighty with his emotions...? I'll keep that in mind. Yuuki thought to herself. For the most part, she was only subtly observing him through her peripheral vision.

“That's the spirit. See, you're warming up to me already.”

While her new position as class president left her in a bind, forcing her to be at least somewhat diplomatic, Yuuki did not filter her own thoughts very well, "...I'm not necessarily sure that's exactly how I'd put it..." mumbled the violet haired girl softly, her best attempt at displaying diplomacy. Even if this role meant a lot for her college resume, Yuuki could not manage to hold her tongue for the most part. The thumbs up only made her feel more awkward. She could feel eyes on herself and the auburn haired boy (Rocco), and frankly it was embarrassing. She didn't even know this guy's name, yet everyone would assume that they were casual friends based on his body language. Especially when he leaned forward toward her. Yuuki blinked in surprise and instinctively withdrew nearly the same distance, her food no longer her primary concern. What if he decided to get dangerously close as Sora had? They were in a very public auditorium, so Yuuki decided to remain on full alert, Why do boys at this school insist on leaning in toward me? I'm fairly certain that I'm not that interesting... Yuuki internally sighed, forever feeling awkward any time that a male came the least bit closer after the school dance. Ever since she thought Sora was about to kiss her in the room with all of the armor, Yuuki couldn't help being a little cautious.

However, his unorthodox handshake definitely threw Yuuki for a loop. The scholarship student's lips parted immediately. They were void of any lip gloss or other girly products, only a very basic balm spread across to keep them hydrated. In fact, Yuuki wore no makeup whatsoever, not even eyeliner. After her father's illness, she had no interest in making herself 'pretty' for those around her. She didn't really care if she was pretty or not. The poor girl had almost gasped out in surprise, but managed to remain silent, much to her own relief. H-He's stronger than he looks... Yuuki thought to herself, unable to deny that she was awed by his strength despite his slender and generally harmless appearance. With her free hand, Yuuki adjusted her glasses, which were a little bit too big to rest naturally on her face, thus the rambunctious handshake had made them droop on her face a bit. It was just another problem that the poor had to deal with.

"I'm Murray, Rocco class prez."

"A pleasure, I'm sure." Yuuki responded in a slightly shaken up tone, expecting to have her hand back within her own personal space shortly after. That had been the first time that anyone had ever shook her hand that way and she was still attempting to recompose herself. Skin caressing her own immediately made Yuuki's entire body tense. Her golden brown eyes shifted to meet Rocco's, studying him, searching for his intention. Was he trying to poke fun at her? Was he fulfilling some sort of 'rite of passage' dare? Holding back her initial instinct to jerk her hand away and shoot him a very pointed insult, Yuuki stared to her fellow junior waiting for answers.

"Just wondering but how do you spend your free time? Hobbies... interests?"

Feeling a shiver run up her spine as she was very, very tickilish, Yuuki decided that she would have to remedy this situation very quickly. If she did not defuse it, there would surely be catastrophic results, "My free time is spent studying mostly, I'm afriad I'm rather boring." Yuuki responded, taking note of her tone. She took slow breaths in attempt to keep her voice from revealing her nervousness, but she was quite certain her tense body language and eyes would reveal enough of that. However, the rest of her facial features did little to reveal she was unraveled by his bold actions.

"I'm just a new student with a lot of free time on my hands. As the class prez, maybe you can recommend me something to keep me occupied?"

It was the smirk on his face that brought back some of Yuuki's bark, which she was eternally grateful for. In that moment she realized that he was enjoying and intentionally trying to ruffle her feathers, "I'm the president of the Overachiever's comittee, a study group of sorts... I'm also a new member of the Kyūdō Elites, which is Archery... What are your hobbies?" Yuuki asked, carefully withdrawing her hand from his after asking her question. She was not going to amuse that attempt any longer. Quickly she returned her attention back to her boxed lunch for a moment, taking a small bite of rice again. Chewing on the food was a pleasant distraction from reality after all. Though she began to wonder why she was able to escape from Rocco's advances and found herself completely frozen when it came to Sora's. Was her fight, flight, or freeze responses on the fritz or something? Though now she wished to know just what kind of person she was dealing with. Would he make such attempts again or would this be a one time thing? She wanted answers to her questions, because she needed to learn how to manage a guy like him. She couldn't allow herself to be so easily shaken in the future.

Feeling self conscious, Yuuki adjusted her glasses again, subtly letting her fingers brush her cheek in attempt to decipher whether or not she was blushing. She did not feel any heat from her cheeks, so she assumed that she was not. However, his words kept repeating in her head in that god forsaken tone. It was driving her more than a little insane! Yuuki let out a soft sigh, deciding to rip off the bandaid before this could go any further, "So... Let's cut to the real point. Who dared you to speak to me? Did you do what you were dared to do yet?" Yuuki asked in a somewhat exhausted and rehearsed manner of speaking. She had definitely asked these questions before, and her facial expression was dead serious. She wholeheartedly believed that this was some sort of mockery of her.

Sora was the last clap to the announced best dressed winners Kazuki and Cassiopeia. He did what was expected of him to congratulate the pair but he was unhappy with the result. Fashion was one of his few passions and he would have loved to be the winner of such an event. “I am disappointed my work was not as well received as I had hoped. Perhaps the votes were in favor of the person's appearance over their attire, popularity over merit.” They were harsh words to be spoken but Sora does not filter his thoughts anytime or anywhere for anyone. He does know Kazuki and Cassiopeia have quite the following, Cassiopeia popular and Kazuki the renowned delinquent showing up late to the assembly out of uniform. These things lead him to his harsh aloud thought. He did so love fashion but the incident only dissuaded him more than he already was from pursuing the career.

"Now that we're class presidents, we need to be on the same page. The 'eyesore' statement I made earlier was not meant for you. We don't need that kind of misunderstanding in the air. The person I was referring to left before you noticed him."

“Oh that is a great relief for me..” Sora speaks instantly in response to Shiori's correction. His ego bruised from not winning was under repair from that one misunderstanding cleared. He fixed his uniform's tie and stood with the same timing as she, the new pair of senior class presidents. They were almost in sync and it was a notable coincidence how they were seated beside each other.

"I will see you when classes begin, Harigae-San."

“Of course.” He replied because he was sure she would. They had been in the same classes since they were juniors so he did not see how she would not. Sora would also not miss a class, his responsibility to the school absolute. It was his only responsibility, to keep up his grades and study. It would be selfishly unthinkable if Sora could not do that much for his uncle to be less troubled.

Once Shiori had left him to attend to her own business, another face came into view happy to see him. "Sora, congratulations!!!" “Good afternoon, Nana-san.” Sora greeted his social society club peer clearly unmoved by her enthusiasm as she glomped him. The girl was probably the most energetic in his small network of friends, the reason she was assigned as the announcer for their club day dance routine. She continued to cling to him out of excitement while squealing for another minute before letting him go. "President of ASS and of senior class? That's an impressive feat. I never would have dreamed it!" “Thank you. I have never dreamed it either.” He was used to dreaming of flying. Sora did have a love for the sky that gave his name purpose. "Oh my god, we should celebrate!" “I didn't have any other plans so I don't see why not.” Sora replied, Nana squealing again at the idea of throwing a party and wrapping her arms around his to make sure he didn't go anywhere.

They walked and talked through the auditorium at Nana's excited pacing but Sora gave pause when he recognized Yuuki talking to another boy (Rocco) from a distance. “Fujioka-san..” her name left his lips as his club member started to ogle the girl with keen observation. "Sora! Don't tell me she was your date?" Nana gasps in surprise, looking from Sora's face back at Yuuki's. She did not believe that there was any girl who would accept the blunt Sora for an intimate setting. “Indeed she was but that is not the case now. She is occupied.” he says in a hushed whisper aware of the reality of their arrangement and being faced with it. “Shall we?” he suggests moving along and the tides have shifted, Nana having to adjust to match his pace.

Rocco could see the effect he was having on the junior class president from his handshake to the continued hand holding but wouldn't cease in making her uncomfortable. Why would he? Conversations were more exciting when someone was uneasy. It was granting him the opportunity to see Yuuki out of her element. Maybe even a side that not many people saw considering they called her a robot. But she's not. Just a bit on the stiff side. "My free time is spent studying mostly, I'm afraid I'm rather boring." Really stiff. Rocco sugarcoated his tone.“Aww seriously? You gotta lighten up hon or you'll get old real fast.” Literally and figuratively speaking. Rocco didn't know what to think of her. She really was turning out to be a model student taken right out of some textbook. She wasn't even wearing any makeup or accessories to go with her uniform from what he could see. A girl like that is easy bait for bullying. Ah, there's a thought. I wonder what kind of person Ursula bothers.

"I'm the president of the Overachiever's comittee, a study group of sorts... I'm also a new member of the Kyūdō Elites, which is Archery... What are your hobbies? Rocco let Yuuki go freely when she withdrew her hand from him. He saw it coming really. He had achieved making her tense up but she was a wall to seduction. Her dedication towards studies also told him she was not on the market for fun dates. “It's something. If we're talking clubs, I signed up for the Basketball team.” He leaned back on both his hands, the smirk never leaving his face. He was satisfied with the class president's undivided attention and confirming that she wasn't the robot the rumors pinpointed her as.
"So... Let's cut to the real point. Who dared you to speak to me? Did you do what you were dared to do yet?" Rocco had to rewind her words in his head because he mistook the serious girl's words for a joke initially. Looking at her more though confirmed she wasn't joking and he had to laugh about it. Her logic was really something. “Hahaha! That's a hoot. I wasn't dared to do anything prez. It's all me.” he said confidently, leaning forward to sit upright again as soon as the school bell dinged for the end of lunch.

He noticed the senior class president (Sora) look over their way but didn't think hard on it. The cyan haired fellow probably just eyed them because Yuuki was the only other to get two presidency positions. Rocco had no knowledge on their relationship and didn't know they had gone together as dates just the other night. That rumor hadn't reached his ears yet. “I've got no club to go to but if you do, want an escort? I've got free time and I'm mighty curious.” He rose from his seated position and tossed an eager grin her way. Rocco had nothing better to do with his time in a country full of strangers but it was a thrill to start anew away from the daddy drama back home. He had also made a habit out of not going home until the late hours of the night to avoid the home that greeted him with a beating. Much had changed since he arrived in Japan but old habits die hard. He wouldn't rest easy calling it a day so soon.

“Aww seriously? You gotta lighten up hon or you'll get old real fast.”

A smile formed on Yuuki's lips. While she was in no rush to get old per se, she did want to grow up really soon. She needed a steady paying job as soon as possible for her dad's sake. Her eyes softened as she thought of her father, her bites from her boxed lunch becoming few and far between as she began to miss home, "That's alright with me, growing up early is beneficial in some cases. That way, I can help the ones who are depending on me to mature quickly." She responded, closing her eyes. There was a somewhat serene presence in her expression. She cared quite a bit for those she spoke of. Thankfully he didn't respond with distaste or violence when she removed herself from his teasing caress. Though the fact that he wasn't angry also brought along a sense of confusion. She couldn't seem to properly gauge his 'type', and that was really starting to frustrate her. What was with Airdalen? All of its students were so unreadable compared to everywhere else. It was like this school was for the most enigmatic individuals in the world.

“It's something. If we're talking clubs, I signed up for the Basketball team.”

Giving it a bit of thought, Yuuki kept it to herself, but she thought that basketball players were often a bit taller than Rocco. Little did she know, he wasn't going to be the shortest on the team, because her prior acquaintance, Akira, had also joined up unto her knowledge, "Well, Good luck, I suppose. Most schools usually regard their sports teams even over academe." Yuuki responded in a neutral tone, neither interested or annoyed by the topic. She did not know much about basketball, other than boys ran around the gym throwing the ball in hoops to score points, so wishing him luck was the best she could do. His smirk was unnerving, but she knew that it was best to play nice with her fellow juniors unless they very obviously made an infraction. So far, he was just trying to get under her skin, she could easily handle that. Yet... she wasn't sure why she could manage this boy and not another certain blued haired senior she knew. It was enigmatic, aggravating, and humiliating. Is it because Sora cares about his education... or is it because we have similar interests? Perhaps because he stood up for me..?

“Hahaha! That's a hoot. I wasn't dared to do anything prez. It's all me.”

A very pale blush formed on her cheeks as he laughed and assured her that he had not been put up to talking to her by some jerks, wondering what was so funny about her believing that he was. It was a frequent occurrence in her day to day life, so she didn't understand the humor in it, "Is that so? Well, I owe you an apology then.." she replied as she began to box her lunch back up. The bell sounded and Yuuki was expected to be present for the first Kyudo Elites practice of the year very soon. She did not fancy being late either, making others wait was not very professional after all, she did not want to form any bad habits. Yuuki noticed Sora walking by when she stood, a shiver running up her spine. Immediately she began to internally panic, but she quickly returned her attention to Rocco as she sought for a distraction, "Gomenasai. I should not have assumed." She stated in a very cordial manner, before adjusting the strap of her bag over her shoulder. She did not give Sora a second glance, one because that would be rude to her current company, but also because she did NOT need to think about that near-kiss at the time like this.... wait.. Scratch that, she NEVER needed to think about that near kiss!! If she allowed herself to be caught up by the first smart and incredibly attractive boy that showed a bit of interest in her, she'd never be able to focus on her studies or help her parents. Sora was definitely a distraction, a major one.

If her father was not sick, that might not have been such a bad thing, but she couldn't afford any distractions, especially the dreamy blue-eyed history buff. I have to avoid him at all costs! We're even now, right...? There is no reason for us to interact anymore... For some reason, trying to find logic in evading Sora only made her chest ache. It felt like there were rubber bands tightening around her torso. Yuuki did her best to ignore it, but she did feel sad, which was something she seldom felt unless she thought about her family back home. It was confounding, but she realized it wasn't going to help thinking too heavily into it. Overthinking would only breathe life into whatever was going on, whatever her emotions were trying to make her feel. Consciously Yuuki was very well aware of the fact that she could not afford to feel anything for anyone beyond her parents, but it didn't stop her subconscious from trying, despite her actively withdrawing from such social ties.

“I've got no club to go to but if you do, want an escort? I've got free time and I'm mighty curious.”

"I start Kyūdō practice at the Kyūdōjō today. If you'd like to watch, I am certain Belrose-Senpai and Argyris-Senpai would not mind if you ask politely. However, you'll have to be on your best behavior. Belrose-Senpai is not the type to amuse playful behaviors." She warned Rocco, mainly referring to his advances. She wasn't fully aware of what he had been attempting to accomplish, but she knew that it was likely that Aeon wouldn't be very happy about it if he interrupted the practice in any way. In fact, when Rocco mentioned being 'mighty curious' she simply thought that he was referring to her clubs, she didn't even consider it could possibly be another flirtatious advance. Yuuki dusted off her skirt, and straightened out her shirt and school overcoat, turning to look at Rocco, "Keep up if you want to go. You enrolled later than most of the juniors, right? If you don't know where it is, you'll undoubtedly get lost." She told him, throwing her bag over her shoulder. Yuuki took the lead, but she didn't walk too fast in case Rocco wished to tag along. Leaving him in the dust wouldn't be very becoming as the class president. She glanced up at the sky, a few drops of rain hitting her face, but she didn't mind. Her dark purple raincoat kept her protected for the most part.

Rocco had an indifferent attitude towards attending Airdalen Academy. The campus was top notch and more multicultural than other Japanese highschools but some things never changed; people gossiping, sitting in exclusive groups that were hard to belong to and the rest that came with it. The only redeeming factor of the situation was being far from home. He couldn't forget that fact even if he tried. It was always in the back of his mind. "That's alright with me, growing up early is beneficial in some cases. That way, I can help the ones who are depending on me to mature quickly." Rocco threw her a weird look, picturing her as a content old woman with that peaceful expression of hers. He lightly chuckled with a suspension of disbelief. Most girls wanted to stay young to keep their beauty but the class president skipped that thought to see the benefits growing up would have for other people. He couldn’t possibly comprehend what she meant by it but it appeared the class president was selfless, an admirable quality for someone in her position. “A strong independent woman type? I see.” he tapped his chin with a wide grin spreading across his face. I wonder if she’s a feminist too.

"Well, Good luck, I suppose. Most schools usually regard their sports teams even over academe." ”Does that get on your nerves, prez?” He said without a second thought, resting his chin on his hand. Class presidents were elected on their grades in most cases right? And Yuuki didn't catch his eye as the type of girl who enjoyed sports. Yet she joined Archery. Why? It was strange but he would offer to accompany her to her club later. There was nothing weird about a boy taking interest in a girl but it was weird for a nerd to get into sports out of their element. I could be wrong and she's actually adept at it. Her surprised reaction to him coughing up that he wasn't put up to approaching her solidified the argument that Yuuki was a nerd. Only a girl that wasn't around guys would be that surprised by advances and the athletic department would never fall short on male populace. "Is that so? Well, I owe you an apology then.."

Rocco knew something was up behind Yuuki looking away from him but it was brushed aside as she quickly looked back. Unlike Arietta, Yuuki knew where attention was due so Rocco wasn't going to dwell on it. "Gomenasai. I should not have assumed."“Hey now, what would people think if they heard the class prez apologizing to someone like me? That's embarrassing.” He implied it was embarrassing but it wasn't. The implication was made only to confuse her or trick that there was something to read between the lines. As a class president, he assumed Yuuki was worried about how her position was handled. That's how the academic types usually were. "I start Kyūdō practice at the Kyūdōjō today. If you'd like to watch, I am certain Belrose-Senpai and Argyris-Senpai would not mind if you ask politely. However, you'll have to be on your best behavior. Belrose-Senpai is not the type to amuse playful behaviors." Rocco yawned, waving away her comment like throwing caution to the wind. “Yeah, yeah but isn't that what clubs are for? Being playful... what a drag.” he mumbled, checking that his bag was sealed before getting up when she did. He didn't know where the club place would be but he guessed it was still raining. He slipped on his transparent raincoat and chuckled that the violet-haired girl also had a raincoat of her own. “Hey, we're like two peas in a pod.” he joked. He hadn't seen any other students around wear raincoats too.

"Keep up if you want to go. You enrolled later than most of the juniors, right? If you don't know where it is, you'll undoubtedly get lost." Rocco sighed because Yuuki was straight to the point. He would've preferred some bantering and dilly dallying. I'm getting bored. I wonder what type of people do archery anyway? “Will do miss prez.” He obediently caught up to his junior acquaintance letting her lead the way. He whistled when things got too silent and smirked when observers started talking about him being in the class prez's company. They're wrong but it's funny.“There was a Halloween party yesterday, yeah? Any fun?” Rocco wasn't invited but asking about it would give him some insight into her social life. An elected class president would be guaranteed an invite. He looked at her ready to hear out her answer.

“A strong independent woman type? I see.”

To be honest, she wasn't expecting him to respond that way, so Yuuki blinked a bit in surprise. Most would have flat out laughed or called her boring. It seemed that the boy walking with her was at least attempting to get to know her, and she appreciated that. It was clearly stated in her eyes that she was fond of that description. It seemed Airdalen had a few people who were outside of the cookie cutter teenage image. However, she reminded herself that regardless of how 'different' the students she had met so far were from the other teens she had met at other schools, everyone aside from her parents were unnecessary distractions. A nod was the only answer he received in that sense, but she smiled a bit as well at the words he used. She rather liked being identified that way. No one had ever called her strong before. Looking at her physically, she was anything but strong.

”Does that get on your nerves, prez?”

At the question, Yuuki's shoulders tensed and she bit the inside of her cheek, "It's not that I'm saying sports aren't important..." she began, a little embarrassed that he seemed to be able to tell exactly what she was thinking. However that was ridiculous. Yuuki was well aware that Rocco was simply skilled at reading in between the lines, "A little..." she confessed, sighing a bit in defeat. She ran a hand through her short violet hair, trying to avoid the topic of how she felt about Academics vs Athletics. It never ended well, it was simply one of those discussions that left everyone angry and nothing was ever solved by discussing it, kind of like religion.

“Hey now, what would people think if they heard the class prez apologizing to someone like me? That's embarrassing.”

A startled expression fell upon her features, the violet haired class president baffled by what was supposed to be so embarrassing. Was he the type of guy who did their best to maintain some sort of 'cool' image? If so hanging around me will tarnish that... She thought to herself, but that didn't seem like it was the case, or, it at least didn't stop there. It felt more complicated than that. He came across as a lot more complex than that, "I'm not sure... I've never put any thought in what anyone else is thinking. What do you believe they would they think?" She countered directly. Whatever he was implying, she wasn't beyond getting to the point. Despite this, she was completely oblivious that he was purposely misleading her. Book smarts only got one so far after all.

“Yeah, yeah but isn't that what clubs are for? Being playful... what a drag.”

Giving what Rocco had said a moment of thought, Yuuki nodded a bit in agreement, "But...on the flip side, if you goof off with arrows someone could get seriously hurt, right? I wouldn't want to see someone get hurt..." Yuuki added in, doing her best to explain from a more responsible light. She understood what he meant though. If someone wasn't enjoying themselves, then they really shouldn't go to a club right? It would be a waste of time if they weren't fun. Even a stiff like her could admit that.

“Hey, we're like two peas in a pod.”

Blinking in confusion for a moment, Yuuki looked herself over, then Rocco before a light bulb came on over her head. Her expression lit up with realization and she nodded her head a bit, "I suppose you're right. It's more convenient than carrying an umbrella everywhere... Not as easy to lose either." She responded, a brief smile crossing her lips. It only lingered for a second before vanishing, and Yuuki continued on her journey. She was determined to get to the Kyudojo soon. She was already far later than she would have liked to be. Having a tag along was a little slower than she would admit, but it was the life of a class president... was it not?

“Will do miss prez.”

Now that she thought about it, Rocco seemed to call her prez a lot. She wasn't exactly opposed to it, but she wondered why he chose that instead of other options, "Are you fond of that or just not the type that likes to call others by their surnames?" She asked mostly for the sake of conversation, but a hint of curiosity was there as well. She wouldn't have asked if she felt completely indifferent, but it wasn't like she would die without the knowledge. Perhaps if he had talked a little more like Akira or Arietta than she might have decided against asking as it was inconsequential and didn't really bother her if he continued to call her 'prez'. It wasn't the worst thing she had been addressed with. She noticed some gossiping, but she wasn't sure what was actually being said. She overlooked it with grace, seeing as she was quite used to ignoring those around her. Going off on gossipers was not something she had spare time to do anyway, "What is the appeal in conjuring up nonsense anyway...? Don't they have something better to do with their time or are their lives simply that mundane?"

“There was a Halloween party yesterday, yeah? Any fun?”

Why did he have to mention the dance of all things? Images of Sora almost kissing her in the room filled with the Samurai armor returned to Yuuki's mind, a tint of light pink forming on her cheeks, "I...Well I suppose some would call it that..." At that thought, Yuuki dug into her pocket only to pull out her cheap and bland little cell phone, the kind that you had to punch in the same button to choose a letter. The style that made texting a nightmare.

Searching through the photos, Yuuki found the one of Sora and her at Himeji and clicked on it. It didn't take long, as her phone only had around ten photos saved on it period. All of them but the one she had taken with Sora were of her and her parents, "It wasn't awful, but I don't have any other dances to compare it to.... I went as Alice in Wonderland." Yuuki handed him her phone, not really skeptical about such things like most girls might have been. There was nothing to be snooped upon in there, and it was a simple no-contract phone that criminals used as 'burner' phones. Yuuki continued walking, smiling when they arrived. She opened the door, not really used to acts of chivalry, so she did not expect them. She put her coat on the rack, brushing herself off for a moment before pointing to Aeon discreetly, "That's Belrose-Senpai. He's my senior partner and Captain of the Kyudo Elites as well...." Her golden brown eyes searched for Cassiopeia, but she could not manage to locate the pink haired senior. That was odd. Pink hair would stand out pretty easily she imagined, "I do not see Argyris-Senpai.... I wonder if she's skipping... Either way, I should get changed." Yuuki bowed politely and excused herself quickly. She got changed in record time, well, for a scrawny kid like her at least. She opted for contacts, assuming her glasses would get too annoying while trying to aim.

Once she was in the Kyudo uniform, she stepped back into the Kyudojo, her eyes landing on Sora, her golden brown eyes widening. How was she supposed to avoid him if they were in the same club?? Shaking it off, she approached Aeon slowly, "Belrose-Senpai... I apologize for being late. Another Freshman who has no club activities has requested to watch and I wanted to ask for your permission. Also... Where are the supplies located..?" She asked curiously, seeing as the room was rather large and she did not wish to waste time wandering around aimlessly while inevitably getting in others way. It was easier to swallow one's pride and ask, was it not? Either way, Aeon was the only other club member she knew well enough to ask aside from Sora, and lowkey actively avoiding him kind of meant not approaching him. He seems focused on practice... I doubt he'll even notice I'm here. That was enough to make breathing normally possible again, her nerves slowly unwinding. Though she had to admit, Sora looked good in the uniform. Though she only peeked through the corner of her eye. She refused to look at him directly. Was this checking someone out? No! No. She was not allowed to do that. She could not afford to do that. Celebrities only! Only those she had no chance of ever meeting in real life, men that could never become a huge distraction from her studies. She was NOT allowed to check out Harigae, Sora. She wasn't! That's what she told herself at least...

The conversation with Harigae in Aeon’s interpretation was simply normal. There were no animosity or the inkling of being offended in anyway. He does not have any deep impressions of the Blue-Haired Senior nor does he have interests to look at him in a closer aspect. This was to be expected from the infamous school idol. Everyone was held at a respectable distance and it was a boundary that only a much selected few had been privileged to trespass. That is why most of the school populace has this tendency to desire his approval as he had been recognized as someone who only allows capable individuals to gain access to him. This is even truer as his praises are of the highest delicacy of truth and coveted by many. These perceptions and expectations of him were something he is well-aware of and in his opinion is a complete nonsense which had always been his stand. Still, it cannot be ignored how the students strive to be their best to gain his amour which is a good way of development.

“Kaichou, can you please advise me on my accuracy?” Those were the kind of questions that flooded around him. There were also a few demonstrations of his own to aid in the learning process. He was not bothered by it as this was one of his primary duties as Captain as such, he continued to assist and give pieces of advice, although he is aware of the fleeting familiar faces (Devone) and unknown ones (Kei and Rocco) entering the Kyūdōjō from the corner of his eyes. They were not a concern from his standpoint as long as they would not impede with the on-going activities of the archery members. Thus, he carry on with his guidance until it was directed to his assigned Junior who approached him. He settled his gaze on Fujioka who was already in her club uniform as she began to speak of her purpose towards him. There was an apology for tardiness, permission for a freshman to observe and the location of the club equipment. They were all on point and he find that acceptable in many angles.

"It is fine for now." There was a pause in between before he continued on. "Yet, I expect you to be not tardy for the next training. Time is a given, but we owe responsibility to it." His voice carried no malice or the familiar tone of reprimand. It carried a wisp of advice and the subtle tone of commandment. He then continued into the next topic of Fujioka’s concerns. "As for the matter of observation, I see no trouble as long as this freshman does not hamper anyone in their club activities. So, do as you will." That was all he has to say in that matter. The kyūdōjō has always had crowds ever since he had joined. Students who are not members always gathered around. They were not causing mindless trouble so, he has no reason to rebuke them. He is not overly sensitive with people’s eyes on him. That was something he had been accustomed to due to his family background. He had simply learned to ignore it like air.

"The equipment you are to use are located through that door." He gestured towards a door located at the other end of the hall. "They are all placed and categorized by the level of skill. I suggest the beginner, but if you have confidence, I would expect for you to put through necessary effort." There was not an ounce of arrogance present in his demeanor or tone. It was a simple form of guidance on his part. The conversation should had ended at that part, however there was something that was needed to be said by him as it is only proper. "Fujioka-san, I would like to extend my congratulations on you becoming a president and a representative." His words carried the apt respect and sincerity in that. He was also present when she delivered her speech and that alone entitled him to a few observations of his Junior. "If I might offer an advice, do not allow yourself to be swallowed by others’ expectations. Simply do everything at your phase. Everything else will follow." It was then his attention was taken in by another matter, yet this time it was not a person. This was caused by the vibrations of his cellphone. "Excuse me." He then took out his phone and read the message it held. Those still gray blue eyes of his suddenly presented a glow of discord.

"Miyano-san." His voice that had always been monotone and without indicative emotions now held a degree of urgency, subtle it maybe. Furthermore, his voice reverberated due to rising its loudness. The Senior Member approached quickly while the others looked towards him in curiosity as they had never observed that from their pristine President ever. "I will leave all matters to you." Those were his only words before turning his back at them and his steps displayed great weight. He was also making a call as he walked towards the exit without changing from his club uniform. Some who were able to grasp some words of Aeon in his phone call heard something about, ambulance and handle. They could only conclude that an emergency occurred. This was strengthen as the School Idol rushed into the school grounds without looking at anyone and allowing the now light rain to drench him. He seemed focus on one thing and his direction was clear to him as he continued on his way.

After a while, the sounds of an ambulance siren echoed throughout the area and it was the final confirmation that something indeed had happened. Many would only assume that Aeon was involved in it due to his actions earlier, but what exactly did occur? No one was really certain about it, though there are assumptions that it might include the seemingly missing Pink Princess knowing only that she alone could invoke any term of emotions from the stoic School Idol.
