Strengths:

- Skating -
As a child, he wanted to become a professional. He loved to watch Skateboarding competitions on TV, but less so recently. Lately, it has become more of a secondary thing.

- Baseball -
His current choice of a future profession. Saburo plays on the schools baseball team and plays Center Fielder. He is one of the best batters on the team, and is well rounded for defense as well. He is often seen with his teammates while either at one of his wild parties, playing ball, or just hanging out.

- Fights -
When it goes down, Saburo knows how to take care of himself. He has had plenty of experience in fights beforehand and puts to use any knowledge he has learned prior.

Weaknesses:

- Academics -
He's not necessarily dull, but his grades could use some helping. Saburo had never really cared much for his grades and instead focuses on sports and having fun with his friends.

- Temper -
Though Saburo may be a fun guy to hang around, the minute someone sparks his temper he becomes violent and sadistic. He often regrets the way he acts afterwards.

- Carelessness -
Many times, Saburo doesn't think about the consequences of his actions. Even though he has never been caught for anything yet, someday his luck may run out.

"WORK HARD
PLAY HARD
WORK HARD
PLAY HARD..."

Saburo's hand searched for the phone on his nightstand, shutting off the alarm. With a groan, he rolled out of bed. "I knew I'd regret that party." The day before, Saburo had went to a "end of summer" party. It sure was fun...but he got home pretty late. At least his dad wasn't in the house to lecture him. After a quick shower, he threw on his school uniform. Heading down the spiral staircase, the Freshman found a breakfast waiting for him. Which he shoveled down. His dad had gotten a nice maid, since he wasn't home all that much. Saburo was in charge, since he was the heir to the house. He was easy on the girl though, she did a good job. Besides, she didn't look half bad. Leaving the dirty plates, Saburo grabbed his backpack, but was interrupted by the ringing of his phone.

"Hello?"
"Hey what's up Saburo? Are you about to leave?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Thought I'd come pick you up. You wanted to see my new ride right? I'm right outside."
"Sweet, I'll be right out."

Saburo left his skateboard leaning against the wall as he left the house. A beautiful Audi was there to greet him. "Damn Tsuyoshi..."
"I know right? She's one hell of a car."

Tsuyoshi Hagiwara and Saburo had met each other through friends. Though Tsuyoshi was a couple years older, the two got along really well. Tsuyoshi was probably gonna end up being the baseball captain this year, since he was a senior and had a killer curve-ball. Nothing Saburo couldn't handle though. Saburo leaned into the passenger seat before the Audi revved back into the main street.

"Hey, when are you gonna be driving?"
"It's gonna be a few years. I'm just a freshman, remember?"
"Oh yeah...but I bet your dad would get you one nice ass car."
"I hope, I really want one of those Corvettes you know? Convertible. But dad's trippin' about getting my grades up, so he'll probably throw me a curve ball. Not one as good as yours though."
"Damn...a Corvette convertible? Shit...you'll make this thing look like a VW."

Image

Saburo shrugged. "Maybe if your nice, I'll downgrade to a camero so you don't look too bad. I mean, I wouldn't want to make you look THAT bad. Not one of those wimpy V6 Cameros though. The two students shared a laugh. After the car was parked, the duo approached the guard posted at the gate. After showing their IDs and passing through, the Tsuyoshi led Saburo to the designated area where there were already plenty of other students waiting.

Saburo took a look around, taking in his surroundings. "See anyone you know?" The Senior craned his neck a bit. After a second, he shook his head.
"Not really. Well, I guess I know 'em, but I don't really hang out with any of them." Tsuyoshi spaced out for a moment before speaking again. "But I heard about that girl with the pink hair. She's pretty nice, and she's smart. So if you ever need homework help, go to her."

But Saburo was already being tutored by someone. Someone who caught his attention in the crowd. "You've got to be shitting me. Out of all the schools...Well, might as well say hi. I mean she looks alright, that's the main reason why I chose her over some super nerd with glasses."
"Hold on a sec, you know the girl over there? Next to the real tall dude." He pointed towards the other two to help Tsuyoshi find them.
"Oh yeah, I do. The girl's Arietta she's alright. Why?"
"She's my tutor. Dad made me get one after last year's report card." The senior's eyes widened a bit.
"Really? She doesn't look like the type...I mean, she doesn't look dumb...but...wow. Well, how's it going?" Saburo rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well...I don't know. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm retarded though. I just don't study, that's all. Maybe I should start for real soon cuz dad said something about getting me an autographed ball from the LA Angels if I get my grades up. He knows someone who works with them.

There was a brief silence between the two. "I'ma go say hi real quick." With that, Saburo made his way towards his tutor. The blonde senior didn't look like she was occupied by anything. Strangely enough Arietta was sitting next to some dude that was asleep. "Hey" Saburo said as he got closer. "I didn't know you went here."

It might have been a gazillion times this had been asked by a very annoyed Kazuki. "Who made it that school should start at the rising of the sun!? Dammnit!" He muttered very loudly as he clicked his tongue in irritation, but that is not really the problem here. Anyone who would come to parking lot inside one of the vehicles parked there would see the notorious or more plainly known as the Hellion, handcuffed to the steering wheel. "Why the hell does he have handcuffs in the first place!?" This remarkable handiwork is done by no one else, but the ever lovely uncle of his who is also actually, Airdalen's Mr. Hayashi, the Math Teacher.

Now, why was he like this It's because, he decided to sleep in and not attend this stupid program. He really planned on playing hooky, but his uncle miraculously did not have one of those forgetful spells and literally kidnapped him from his house on his bed. "This is an outright violation of my human rights! I'll sue his ass when I get out of here... Tch!" Other things to add to his irritable mood are his early attendance, being in a vehicle, and also it was his uncle who dressed him all up, so right now, he looked like one of those picture models for those high school promotional movies or something with slick-back hair. This was going to be bad for his rep. "I'm really going to enjoy cutting that old man to pieces..." He grumbled further as he fought his restraints and looked inside the car for a way to free himself.

"I swear that old man is a pervert or something..." He continued tugging on his handcuffs and in irritation, he kicked the floor of the car. That was then he heard a jingling sound. His golden eyes shimmered like a cat who had found a beautiful fish to pounce on. He managed to open the glove compartment and there he saw the keys to his handcuffs. It was a good thing that his uncle is forgetful. Things were certainly looking up for him. A grin was plastered on his face as he now thinks of ways on how to get it. He managed to grab hold of it by using his teeth and dropped it to his waiting fingers. "You can't keep me locked in, buddy..." He said with a very confident smile as he began unlocking his restraints. It did the trick as he stretched his limbs. He could feel the blood beginning to flow freely once more.

All of this was done so he would participate in this program. His uncle said that he would be returning to take him inside once everything is settled. There was no way in seven levels of hell and seas would he babysit some punk still looking for his or her mommy. There are better things worthy of his time than that. Anyway, he released a big sigh and commented. "This was not how I envisioned myself getting tied up. I was thinking along the lines of a beautiful dominatrix. Anyways, time to split!" He has that Cheshire grin on his face as he whistled a bit and was about ready to leave the car. He doesn't like staying inside of these contraptions as much as possible when his stomach gurgled in rebellion. "I didn't even have breakfast yet." He finally remembered as his wake-up call had been chaotic at the very least.

"Stupid uncle, I still have that leftover subway sandwich inside the fridge. Tch!" He punched the dashboard and then left the car while slamming the door behind him as it fell. He left me in a car that's falling apart... This is why I hate these cars." After doing that, he messed up his hair, returning it to its normal style. He popped open his jacket, loosened his tie and then rolled up his sleeves. That was then, his phone vibrated. It's a good thing he managed to grab that one. There was a message from one of the girls he had hit at the club, it's very suggestive. Then, if a literal light bulb could be seen on top of his head, there will be one. He had a wide grin on his face along with those feline eyes of his. It was rather intimidating like that of a devil, but a handsome and alluring one. It's good for him to be born with such good looks. "Got my ticket then." He went towards the main grounds where he could see that there were some people around. It was passing glance and he didn't really care about them. What good students they are, how boring.

Kazuki ignored them as he went to the gates. He was about to walk passed two girls, one with blue hair (Gen) and the other with orange hair (Vika). But, he didn't have time to confirm who they are since; he has one thing in mind, leave the premises when the guard noticed him. "Oi! Miyamoto! Stop right there!" The guard came out of his booth and began to walk towards him. He stopped momentarily and clicked his tongue. That good old for-nothing uncle of his probably warned the guard. "Shit!" He began to move again as he made his way to the gates, but there was another one waiting for him. They came in prepared and his uncle made sure they did. Why does he have to be serious at the most useless moments in his life? Why!? With that, he quickly made a roundabout to escape their clutches.

"Hayashi-sensei said not to let him escape! Catch him!" One of the guards said as they began to multiply like cockroaches and they were quite good. It's to be expected; after all they have to ensure the security of a very high-end school with very important students in attendance. He made the run while using the obstacles around him like the rails much like a tightrope and then jumped down with smirk on his face. "As if I'd let you catch me! Suckers!" He was able to make his way through the benches and stopped at one where two students (Shiori and Rhys) were presently sitting. "S'cuse me! Up and over!" Kazuki literally jumped over the bench where some of the guards halted. He then landed just a few inches in distance from another pair of students (Akira and Mai). Watch where you stand!" Then, he heard the guards were hot on his heels again. Well, see you later kiddos!"

Kazuki continued as they were still in pursuit as he looked over his shoulder. "Persistent bastards..." He muttered under his breath and then looked in front of him. There he noticed a very large tree where there were another pair of students (Yuuki and Bishop) arguing or more like being told off. "Get out of the way love birds!" He said as he grabbed at one of the branches and swung himself across, much like a gymnast. "Miyamoto! Get back here!" As if, he would do that. He continued his pace as he ran across another student (Johnny) on a bench. He was now on the other side and saw three students at one bench. His smile widened even further as he went towards the group.

"Hot stuff, coming through!" He announced as he pushed his way between another pair. (Saburo and Arietta) Then, he literally stepped on Ryou's foot to wake him up that should serve as a deterrent to the remaining guards coming after him. "When you snooze, you lose!" He shouted towards Ryou and then continued forward as he finally halted in his escape, actually, he tripped on something as he fell flat on his face. That was embarrassing. "Dammit! Who did that!?" He shouted angrily as he quickly went back on his feet. His face was rather red and bit bruised. Then, his eyes landed on the one responsible for his fall. His eyes narrowed in disdain. "And here I thought, the heavens had finally taken you back." There before him was Aeon and the lovely Cassiopeia.

That was when the guards finally caught up to him and grabbed him. "Finally caught you, Miyamoto!" The guard announced with a ragged breath. Kazuki glared at Aeon for being the reason of his so-called apprehension and then shrugged his shoulders as he didn't fight anymore. "Well you know what they say, peeps and pops, there's nothing like a good exercise to jet start your day." He said with his carefree casual way as the guards glared and sighed at this. Oh yeah, tell my uncle. Does he have insurance on his car?" He ended that with his infamous mischievous smile. It was after all a normal thing to be expected from someone like Kazuki Miyamoto.

Popularity +1 to Cassiopeia

"Hey. I didn't know you went here."

Arietta's eyes shifted from her phone, to a familiar voice standing in front of her. She was completely taken by surprise, then remembered a very important detail. She never got around to asking Saburo what school he was transferring to!! She didn't remember to ask, because their sessions took place in summer, but now she finally made the mistake of choosing to tutor someone who went to her own school. This was going to be very dangerous to her reputation and she'd have to go about this in all the right ways or she'd totally ruin her reputation.

"Shh.." She stated, putting her index finger over her mouth. To anyone watching, she was considerately thinking of Ryou, who was sleeping nearby, but she was honestly just looking out for her own hide. Arietta began playing with her long blonde hair in a fidgety manner, nervous about being exposed to her classmates as a 'nerd'. She didn't want to be seen as her true self, she was afraid that no one would like the real her, because no one did at her last school, "Not so loud." Arietta chimed, laughing softly with a warm expression on her face. She was anxious, freaking out that someone would put the pieces together, but she had to keep her composure. She didn't want to be seen frantic. She took a small breath to compose her nerves before speaking again, "Would you mind if I asked you to keep the details of our arrangement a secret between us? I don't want to look like some kind of nerd." She informed Saburo, eyes shifting to those around them, then back to him. She pocketed her phone, and stood up to talk to him properly, dusting of her skirt after she was upright.

"Being seen with you is alright, but just don't tell anyone that I'm tutoring you. I don't want to be 'that' girl.." She whispered, careful to keep a low tone, just in case there were any eavesdroppers. Sure, Saburo didn't dress like the typical guys Arietta would hang out with, but she liked him as a person. He wasn't bad to look at, for a bit of a bad boy that is, and she was also getting paid to tutor him, so that was definitely a plus. She cared about her reputation a lot, and she was not about to throw it down the drain. Then she tilted her head, a bit confused. Why did he come over here? Was he just being nice, or did he have a question? She was completely clueless, so she pulled out her cell phone, "Though, when you need during school homework help, you can send me a text instead of asking it face to face. It's more discreet that way. Do you think you'll need my number?" She asked in a curious tone, innocently blinking as she held up a light pink phone, with music notes and a girly white bow on the front of it.

"Hot stuff, coming through!"

Arietta fell backwards when Kazuki tore through, her back hitting the bench she was sitting on a few minutes prior. Arietta landed on the ground in front of the bench, but her back up against the bench, probably a tad bruised, but nothing too seriously injured other than her pride, "Miyamoto-teme!" She hissed at him, obviously not amused by his current antics. She knew he didn't necessarily mean to make her fall, but now she was really embarrassed and didn't care if he knew she was angry with him or not. She looked like a fool sitting on the ground and getting knocked over in front of everyone, while in mid-conversation, that was totally humiliating.

"When you snooze, you lose!"

"You're the worst. He was sleeping!" Arietta called out, sticking her tongue out at Kazuki in disgust, her blood boiling. Kazuki definitely was not Arietta's favorite person, in fact, she borderline hated him. She didn't necessarily hate anyone, well, except for Shiori Kitogawa, but Kazuki was very close to pushing her boundaries as well. She was going to make him pay for this, especially since he made her fall right in front of Saburo and anyone else who just so happened to be watching. She wanted to rip his head off right about now, but she forced a calmer expression onto her face. She didn't want to be seen as grumpy or short tempered, there were a lot of new students and she definitely didn't want to make a bad impression like Kazuki.

Image

She pushed herself to her feet, dusting herself off again, averting her eye contact, "Sorry about that... Miyamoto-san.. he's always making things difficult for everyone." Arietta mumbled, still a bit flustered from her embarrassing fall, but also irritated with the guy who caused it in the first place. Then she remembered that he tore in between them, and her eyes widened a bit. Did Saburo get hurt? She was so embarrassed and angry that she had nearly forgotten his well being. She felt bad, and decided to make sure that Saburo didn't get hurt either, "Are you alright, Inoue-san?" She asked, giving him a once over to make sure that he was alright, tilting her head in different directions to get a good look at him. Then her attention turned to Ryou, who got stepped on as well. She gave him an apologetic look, then bowed very quickly, "I'm so sorry, are you alright?" She asked with a curious expression on her face, though she knew he probably wouldn't realize why she was apologizing for something Kazuki did, she felt the need to do so anyway.

Arietta felt bad for sitting next to Ryou without asking for permission. If Saburo had seen her somewhere else, the maybe he and Ryou would have been spared from this incident. Miyamoto only had to go through this crowd because of me... If I didn't come over here, there wouldn't have been a crowd.. It's all my fault that everyone nearly got trampled just now..

"Come on wake up!I want to show you something, Ryou... Something very beautiful."

The voice he wanted to hear so much faded into nothingness and instead, it was replaced by a feeling of pain radiating from his feet. It felt that something or probably someone stepped on it. That's why slowly but surely, his eyes opened to the image of reality. He didn't utter any recognition of it by releasing any sound. This spoke volumes on his tolerance and exhibit of control. He is such a composed person as he simply opened his eyes and then looked to his right side where he felt presences of people nearby. It made him wonder if he will be welcomed by the sights of those hounding girls. They might be the cause of him being stepped on to wake up.

But, he just saw two people, a pair composed of a girl (Arietta) and a boy (Saburo). The female was a familiar one to him. The male was not. His eyes of silver gray reminding one of the moon's light gazed at them. There was no blame in them as it still was faintly hazed with sleepiness, but he did hear the girl, Hakushiro that's her name if he remembered correctly, apologized. That was odd in his understanding. "I'm fine." He answered in a soft yet casual manner as he stood from his seat, finally showcasing his full height. His eyes landed on his foot as he moved it around. "But, why are you apologizing?"

Once more, his eyes fell on her. Then, he heard a familiar voice which he wanted to avoid for the duration of his day. He looked towards that direction seeing Miyamoto surrounded by the school guards and the known school idol (Aeon) and the kind Cassiopeia. Somehow, he now understood. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the scenario. "It's not your fault." He stated without any pretense, but it was enough to silence any argument as he looked at Hakushiro. His words had always have weight about them whether he noticed it or not. There was still a smudge of dirt at the hem of skirt and he knew she was just a victim as anyone else from Miyamoto's rampaging scene. He deduced the girl must be blaming herself for whatever happened which he had a clear reason to believe was done because he was here. Miyamoto had always did everything in his power to issue fights or challenges to him in different ways.

"Here." Ryou took out a clean handkerchief from his pants' pocket and handed it to her. "There's still some left." Whether she took it or not, he continued after she made her response. "It's a thanks for your concern." He said to give reason for his gesture. Most people feel more comfortable when there are reasons behind actions and especially when they're stated. Ryou then looked to the unfamiliar face, the boy (Saburo). "Welcome to Airdalen." He assumed that the new face was a freshman if he was wrong, then it's his bad. He then looked from the boy (Saburo) to Hakushiro. From his observation, they seemed to know each other. He must be interrupting them. "I guess, I'll see you two around then." Once he said that, he took his leave by walking away from that spot. He didn't want to be noticed by Miyamoto any more.

This was one of the days that he didn't want to be bothered by that fellow rowdy senior of his. He had a beautiful dream and that was shattered because of his self-proclaimed rival wanted to bother him with useless things. Anyway, he walked along the pathway as the Sakura blossoms were being blown by the wind. He looked at the falling petals as some landed on his shoulder and head. It was a beautiful contrast against the blackness of his hair and the paleness of his skin. It was like a painting when it involves him. Then, there it was again that voice he wanted to hear always.

"Did you know that the sakura petals can make wishes come true? It made mine into a reality. See, you're here with me."

His eyes held a hint of sadness and had an image as if he was looking across time. Just like that, he reached for one petal which landed at the palm of his hand and then closed his hand as if impaling it with an unspoken wish. Then, he released it to the winds, hoping it would be true, his dream.

Saburo wasn't really sure what was going on, but Arietta was acting pretty weird for some reason. Apparently she didn't want anyone else to know about the tutoring because someone might think she was a nerd. He didn't really think she was a nerd though, just smart. There was a difference. Last year there was this smart dude on the team who helped a lot with the plays and stuff. A nerd is like a person who doesn't have a life and just reads sci-fi comics or something.

"You're not a nerd." Saburo lowered his voice for Arietta's sake. "Nerds are the guys who really out of shape and just play otome games all the time." He assured the Senior. "But yeah, I'll keep it low key if you want."
"Though, when you need during school homework help, you can send me a text instead of asking it face to face. It's more discreet that way. Do you think you'll need my number?"
Saburo smiled, pulling out his own phone. "Sure, I'll take it."

Before Arietta could reply the conversation was interrupted. "Hot stuff, coming through!" before he got a chance to look up some random guy (Kazuki) pushed between him and Arietta. Luckily, Saburo was able to catch himself from falling. "Hey! What the hell!" He yelled at the dude after regaining balance. Who was this guy to be pushing him around? If they ever had a run in again, Saburo wouldn't cut the guy any slack.

"Are you alright, Inoue-san?" Saburo's head snapped back towards his tutor. In his short lived anger, he had sort of forgotten about her. From the looks of it, Arietta wasn't able to right herself in time from the flustered look she portrayed.
"Yeah...thanks." The freshman paused for a second, recalling his anger. "Who was that asshole?"

"That was Kazuki. He's pretty well known for pulling stuff like that. He's not that bad once you get to know him though." Tsuyoshi had followed the wake left by Kazuki, finding Saburo in the process.
"You know him?" Tsuyoshi nodded.
"Yeah, we hung out a couple times. I thought you'd like him." Saburo paused to stare at the senior for a moment.
"No, seriously." Tsuyoshi broke a smile. "When your not on the sharp end of his crap it's not that bad."
"Yeah, okay."

Sabruo's attention was diverted to a towering senior (Ryou) who was asleep just a moment ago. "Welcome to Airdalen."
"Uh...thanks man." For whatever reason, he remembered something his father had said once.
"You gotta know the line between being confident, and being stupid. Once you get that down, I think you'll do alright."
Starting beef with this guy was definitely on the stupid side.
"I guess, I'll see you two around then." With that, the giant took his leave.

"So...How's it going Arietta? Saburo tells me you got me in science. I mean it's kinda hard to get the class when the teacher doesn't either right? ...Well you gotta know the stuff to be tutoring it...right?" Saburo glanced at his friend, then at Arietta. He gave the blonde girl a shrug.

"Yeah...thanks."

"No problem." She chimed in a happy-go-lucky tone. Unaware that he noticed she'd lost her balance in the incident. Though what she didn't know definitely wouldn't hurt her. She'd probably drive herself crazy with embarrassment if she knew. It was better that she was oblivious to the fact.

"Who was that asshole?"

"That was Kazuki. He's pretty well known for pulling stuff like that. He's not that bad once you get to know him though."

...Not bad? Arietta's expression grew skeptical, and she wanted to lean forward and check Saburo's friend's temperature. There was a lot bad about Kazuki, and she kind of wanted to give that loud cocky asshole a piece of her mind, but then again, that would totally shatter the image she'd created for herself. Cute, popular, cool. She didn't do much of anything that would ruin those three aspects from describing herself, at least in public. Sure, she'd lose her temper now and then, but she never let herself get too out of hand. She didn't want others to hate her after all, "I guess you could say that.. In a way..." She laughed nervously, though she didn't mean a word of it.

"You know him?"

A boy she met once or twice at school named Tsuyoshi nodded in response and Arietta sighed, "Who doesn't know Miyamoto-san if they're a Senior? He's a major troublemaker. Some girls find him attractive, but I think he's simply annoying." She decided to add her two cents in while pouting. Her tone was a irritated, but she wasn't letting it get the best of her. She didn't recognize him at first, seeing as he wasn't as popular as most of the people she hung out with or was aware of. Then her mind began to wander, tuning out of the boy's conversation.

"Nerds are the guys who really out of shape and just play otome games all the time."

Those words rang through her ears in repetition like a broken record. He didn't realize just how close he was to her description. She was skinny, but she wasn't necessarily in shape.. She played Otome games.. the only part of his definition she definitely lacked was being a male... Though her mind was brought off of her depressive thoughts when Ryou spoke up.

"I'm fine. But, why are you apologizing?"

"Etto.. he might have avoided this spot if there wasn't a group of three here?" Arietta replied in a sheepish manner. Now that Ryou called her out on her apology, it didn't really make any sense in the end. She felt fairly stupid in the end. It made more sense in her head, but most things usually did, including her white lies she told to vamp up her life.

"It's not your fault."

Arietta was a bit shocked, but relieved that he didn't blame her. He also didn't ask them why they were standing so close to him while he was sleeping, so Arietta felt that this situation diffused rather well. She was glad that he was so understanding. If it had been someone else, she feared that it wouldn't have went so smoothly. Ryou seemed to be a lot nicer than he let on sometimes.

"Here."

"Eh?" Arietta was completely taken aback. Where did she miss? She was certain that she'd wiped down thoroughly after her fall, but apparently she missed a spot. She accepted the handkerchief, opening her pocket mirror. It wasn't her face, nor her hair.. so it had to be her clothes. Arietta turned, checking her uniform. Her jacket was clean... so it had to be..

"There's still some left."

H-how embarrassing!! Arietta's eyes widened a bit in shock, trying to find the spot on her skirt. She honestly thought she'd gotten it all... She used the handkerchief and wiped it off once she'd found it. A light blush formed on her cheeks, not necessarily because of Ryou himself, but because he noticed her in less than pristine condition.

"It's a thanks for your concern."

"A-Arigato, Giou-san..." Arietta replied, a grateful smile on her face as he explained himself. She honestly wasn't looking too far into it, since they were only acquaintances after all. She figured that he was just caught up in the habit of having to explaining every single act of kindness, especially since he had his own personal fan club that followed him almost everywhere he went.

"I guess, I'll see you two around then."

"See you later..." Arietta replied with a cheerful expression, waving to Ryou, "Thanks again, Giou-san!" She called out, glad that he didn't let her roam around school with dirt on her clothes. That would have been so horrible... She would have been too humiliated to face anyone after she found out about it if a lot of people would have noticed it.

"So...How's it going Arietta? Saburo tells me you got me in science. I mean it's kinda hard to get the class when the teacher doesn't either right? ...Well you gotta know the stuff to be tutoring it...right?"

Arietta, tilted her head and laughed a bit. She shook her head immediately, "I just stole the teacher's notes and we read them over.. Apparently they're not as hard when Sensei doesn't speak. Though I barely remember it. Do you really think I could remember all of that? School is not my strong suit." She lied and asked Tsuyoshi with a charming smile. Though on the inside she was fuming, she managed to keep her sweet and girly exterior in tact. Arietta's acting classes were really paying off, because at the moment she looked very friendly, yet there was nothing she wanted more than to strangle Saburo right now. Saburo already told someone!? How many people did he tell?! The day barely began and he already spilled her second biggest secret? This was going to be a long day, if not a long year. She immediately shot an angry glare at Saburo when Tsuyoshi wasn't looking, twitching a bit in irritation. She was definitely going to get him back for the lie she had to tell to keep her reputation protected, especially one that was on the spot like that..

"You never gave me your number, Inoue-san." She stated again, an innocent blink on her features as she held out her girly phone in his direction to put his number in it. She wasn't sure how he'd respond in front of his friend, but she brought it up now, because she would forget if she didn't. Not to mention the event would start at any time and she wouldn't get another chance soon, "I'll text it so you can have mine."

"I just stole the teacher's notes and we read them over.. Apparently they're not as hard when Sensei doesn't speak. Though I barely remember it. Do you really think I could remember all of that? School is not my strong suit." Saburo didn't even try to stiffle his laugh. It rang true and clear, cutting through the buzz around them.
"What?" Saburo just shook his head. Notes? What notes? She practically had the stuff at the top of her head. Saburo was pretty sure Arietta could teach the class herself. Besides, what sort of teacher would let someone take their notes? This school was supposed to be top notch, what sort of knock off would be let in here? The best part was probably that Tsuyoshi actually believed what Arietta was feeding him.

Sabruo still didn't really get what the big deal was for Arietta keeping her tutoring secret. Maybe all the people who would come running for her help? He wouldn't say anything though, not now. Arietta would probably be extra hard on him the next time they met. Arietta angry, now that would be something new. He never remembered the tutor being really mad. Agitated, yes, but not angry. Well, Saburo was always one for new things never before seen.

"You never gave me your number, Inoue-san."
"Oh yeah, my bad." he replied, regaining his composure and snatching Arietta's phone. After tapping in his number, the Freshman handed the phone back.
"I'll text it so you can have mine."
"Fine by me."

β€œATTENTION, ATTENTION, ALL SENIORS AND JUNIORS PLEASE HEAD OVER TO THE SCHOOL HALL FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS. SENIORS, PLEASE HELP GUIDE THE JUNIORS SHOULD THEY GET LOST. WE’RE RUNNING BEHIND ON SCHEDULE SO STAY SHARP.”

"'Stay sharp'? That's a first. Are we in the army or something?"
"Isn't that your next stop after this?"
"Me?" The male senior gestured towards himself. "And have to do that 'harakiri' when we lose a fight? I'm not about that life."
"Well, you're the senior, so lead the way."
"I don't even know how you'd get lost trying to get to the school hall, but you might be an exception." Tsuyoshi said as he began walking towards the school hall. Saburo followed.
"Just because I'm not a try hard who studies 5 hours a day doesn't mean I'm a retard. I've got common sense you know."
"Common sense? You sure did a good job hiding it yesterday."
"Hey, that doesn't count. I wasn't myself."
"Blame it on the alcohol huh? Probably another good reason why you shouldn't have gotten back on your skateboard that day."
"Just cuz you're the only guy who's too much of a pussy to try anything doesn't mean you can be proud of it."
"Hey, someone's got to keep you guys from killing yourselves." Tsuyoshi turned to Arietta. "We're having some fun at my house tonight if you wanna come. It's nothing wild, nothing you can't handle."

Saburo sort of wondered what Arietta would be like at a party. What an interesting thought.

"What?"

Arietta shot a well timed glare in his direction, her blues eyes very expressive as far as her anger was concerned. Though, considering her typical attitude, and her genuine personality, the look came off as a really strong pout. It wasn't intimidating in the slightest way at all.

"Oh yeah, my bad."

He took the bait well enough, and Arietta waited patiently for the return of her cellular device. Little did Saburo know, she reminded him simply for the fact that it would allow her to stealthily chew him out. Though, she kept all indication that she was still irritated from her face, like a good little doll. Her constant happiness was definitely a bit like a doll's expression. It was almost as if her face was frozen into a smile.

"Fine by me."

"Alright, then hold on a sec..." Arietta replied as she retrieved her phone. She immediately found his name in her contacts sending a text immediately. She did this so she could scold him without Tsuyoshi witnessing it. She couldn't have other people realizing the extent of her temper after all. Phones were a brilliant invention, and she was so glad to have one. She could be as mean as she wanted and no one else witnessed a single thing, completely none the wiser.

β€œATTENTION, ATTENTION, ALL SENIORS AND JUNIORS PLEASE HEAD OVER TO THE SCHOOL HALL FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS. SENIORS, PLEASE HELP GUIDE THE JUNIORS SHOULD THEY GET LOST. WE’RE RUNNING BEHIND ON SCHEDULE SO STAY SHARP.”

She pocketed her phone, pretending that nothing was wrong. There was a warm smile on her face, and it only dissipated when the announcements began. The loud teacher put a frown on the blonde's face. Arietta really wasn't fond of her.. and it put her in a bit of a sour mood until her thoughts were redirected by Tsuyoshi.

"'Stay sharp'? That's a first. Are we in the army or something?"

Arietta nodded in agreement. Why would they have to stay sharp? She shrugged it off, assuming that they meant Kazuki. He managed to knock quite a few people down and they probably meant to look out for him so that none of the newbies would get hurt. Though even if you somehow had 360 degree line of vision, it was still more than likely you'd end up in some kind of confrontation with him. For a minute she checked out of the conversation, zoning out into nothingness for a minute.

"Well, you're the senior, so lead the way."

Saburo's voice brought her back to reality, and she quirked an eyebrow. Lead the way? The building was practically right in front of them, but she chose to not say anything, besides, right after she silenced her own temptation to comment, his friend Tsuyoshi chimed in with a comment equally as teasing as she'd had in mind. He's not the only Senior here.. She thought to herself with a roll of her eyes, but kept it otherwise to herself.

"I don't even know how you'd get lost trying to get to the school hall, but you might be an exception."

She followed behind the boys, looking to the sky as she kept a casual pace, in no rush to get inside, especially since she'd have to find somewhere to sit. She preferred having less options, it was a lot less overwhelming that way. Though she hoped she wouldn't get stuck sitting next to someone lame. That would totally suck, and she wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle it at this point. Her nerves were still jumbled because of Kazuki and Saburo. If one wasn't knocking her over, the other had exposed her secret. This year was going to be a constant headache, she just knew it. She could feel it in her stomach that she wasn't going to have an easy senior year ahead of her.

"Just because I'm not a try hard who studies 5 hours a day doesn't mean I'm a retard. I've got common sense you know."

Try hard? Arietta kind of twitched at that description. She was a bit offended, but she knew it was kind of true. The truth really did hurt sometimes. Although she didn't spend five hours studying, she did enjoy school and she did her best in every subject. She enjoyed learning, but she didn't want anyone to know, at least not her classmates. She found her mind trailing off into thoughts about the school year, whom she'd make friends with, and her grades, neglecting the conversation once more.

"Hey, someone's got to keep you guys from killing yourselves. We're having some fun at my house tonight if you wanna come. It's nothing wild, nothing you can't handle."

Arietta tilted her head after receiving the invitation, definitely taking the offer into deep consideration, Nothing wild? It didn't sound like it, but she had to keep up with the reputation that she'd set for herself, "Sure. Just send me directions." She responded with a smile, tapping her chin afterwards. This would her first time attending one of Tsuyoshi's parties. If she invited a few people to this party, and it turned out to actually be something cool, she'd make total points with the them for it, "I could probably invite a few more girls if you'd like.. I do know quite a few." She added with a giggle, definitely pondering on the possibilities. She'd been to a couple parties at her old school, but ever since attending Airdalen, Arietta straightened out her act for the most part, only attending a few parties at Airdalen, and only the cool ones.

She had a fair drinking tolerance, which was a bit well suited, except for the fact that she was completely unaware of her Irish descent. She never really thought to look into where her blonde hair and blue eyes came from, because she held a grudge against her parents for abandoning her as a baby. She wasn't curious about her ethnicity, not even a little bit. Though once they made it into the hall where everyone was sitting, she tilted her head to Saburo and the other boy, "How about we sit over there? It looks rather empty." she referred, pointing to the seats next to a tall brunet Freshman (Johnny), and a couple seats to the right and behind the violet haired girl (Yuuki). Though she went over and sat down next to him, not waiting for an answer. She did not ask for permission either, considering this room belonged to the school and this was school function, not some kind of hangout spot where she would have to introduce herself or be given permission first. She didn't feel like being caught standing when the presentation began, and that's all there was to it.

Arietta began to wonder if Saburo chose to sit elsewhere, and was completely oblivious to Johnny's nervousness, and even more unaware that he'd had a full on cinematic hallucination. She wasn't really concerned, well, to be fair, she wasn't really concerned about anything that didn't bring her popularity, aside from her school assignments. The only thing she did notice was his change in position, not that she cared to ask about it. She knew asking questions wasn't necessary this early in the game, besides, she wanted to observe for now. Watching people and listening were the easiest ways to figure out whether or not their friendship would benefit her quest for obtaining and maintaining popularity. Her goal was to avoid losing popularity, especially since a lot of her habits would definitely dock several 'cool' points if anyone found out about them.

β€œHajimemashite,”

Arietta was surprised when the stranger (Johnny) attempted to strike up conversation. Immediately she weighed out the risks and perks of responding. If she ignored him he might begin telling people that she was rude. If she was seen speaking to the brown haired male, Arietta doubted that it would harm her reputation too badly, seeing as he seemed to be quite sporty. Sure, she was judging him solely by physical appearance alone, but she felt that talking to him held little to no risk factor.

"Ohayo. I'm Hakushiro, Arietta. You're new, right?" She replied back to the boy with a warm smile spreading across her features. Though she was totally just playing along. She wasn't in a good mood, nor did she feel like being social, but it would hurt her reputation to be snappy or rude so she had to be nice to him in the end. Though it wasn't the boy's fault (Johnny) she was just having caffeine withdrawals. She wasn't really sure what to say to him, seeing as she was completely unfamiliar with the boy (Johnny). He came across as confident, which was a good trait to have in Arietta's opinion, especially when entering a new school.

β€œMy name is Johnny Farelli. My Japanese is not that good. It's nice to meet you.”

So his name is Johnny? Well that was kind of anticlimactic.. Where is this kid from? Though she didn't linger on that, instead, she chose to surprise him. It wasn't every day she was allowed to reveal that she was bilingual after all, "I can speak English rather well, or so I've been told. You don't have to use Japanese to talk to me if you don't want to." She replied in English to him, unsure if he was Italian, British, or American. As long as he wasn't born in Italy, she was confident that he would understand her use of the English language. She was kind of glad that her grandfather forced her to learn right about now, it would definitely come in handy if they'd be dealing with Americans this year.

Her eyes returned to the front of the room, blue orbs rolling as the faculty failed to get a move on, "I missed my coffee for this...?" She asked herself in a soft, rhetorical tone. She wanted to get this program over with, it made her too late to grab a morning coffee, hence why she was kind of grumpy this morning.

"I can't say no to a beautiful lady, especially when she's very willing to do so, Gen, my dearest."
I…I- Gen turned away from Kazuki for a moment as her eyes darted around the room with panic. All she could hear was her heart beat racing. The romantic side of her told her she had been hit by cupid’s arrow but would she be able to handle its calling? -Thump thump- She placed a gentle hand against her chest, trying to remain calm as she usually does but it was futile with two contradicting thoughts fighting one another in the back of her mind. It’s too soon.. -Thump thump- Don’t you believe in love at first sight? Well yes- but I’ve seen him before and I never--Thump thump- She loosened and stretched out the fingers of her free hand before forming a tiny fist, followed by closing her eyes and breathing in and out. Gen always wanted to be in love but she had never felt this way and it wasn't turning out the way she imagined it would be. She always thought she would have a crush on someone more of 'her type' which was someone charming, decent looking, tall... and mysterious. Kazuki was all of the above but mysterious as she wasn't blind to his reputation or the way he flirted around. Why do I hold his words with great weight nonetheless? With the hand above her heart, she gripped the material of her uniform a little tighter. Maybe it was simply the way he called her 'dearest' or maybe his handsomeness had won her over or maybe she was just a tad bit more dramatic and idealistic than the average girl but there was no helping it for Gen. It was out of her control in the meantime. She turned around again on her heel to meet his gaze, with a dreamy look on her face. Just roll with it dear, we don't pick who we fall in love with~

Image

"Thank you dear, you're absolutely charming~" She smiled, a real smile. It was something she didn’t do very often but she couldn’t help herself. It was thrilling to feel that way for someone, even if that someone for now was Kazuki.

"I'm so excited to know who will be my junior! Are you excited too, Gen-chan? Kazuki-kun?"
As if on cue, Cassiopeia spoke up glancing at the two making Gen feel inferior. Her smile faded and was replaced with a lost look like a deer in headlights. It wasn’t Cassiopeia’s fault, but the girl made her rethink her position. She was far from a princess, as the daughter of a butler. Gen shook her head not wanting to dwell on that thought. It wasn’t like her to think negatively about anything and she loved her father with all her heart. Also, theater that she loved so much would say otherwise. It wasn’t birth alone that made one a princess. β€œYes, but of course~ I hope we all get along just fine.” Gen replied, her smile returning but the polite one rather than the toothy grin. Cassiopeia appeared satisfied with her answer as she turned to Vika giving Gen room to compose herself more.

Folders~ She dropped a fist in an open palm at the realization. Gen walked to the front at normal walking pace and politely requested both her and Kazuki’s folders from the teacher. While Ms. Araya looked for them, she glanced around the crowded hall for a distraction. She spotted a fellow senior (Shintaro) in the distance looking anxious and wondered why he wasn’t picking up his folder too. Did he not pay attention to the announcement? β€œActually~ may I also request Shintaro’s? Poor darling looks confused.” When given, she hugged both folders to her chest and returned to her little morning group with her hair hitting against her back.

"Look everyone! Look Aeon! She's very pretty! She's my junior!" Gen only managed to get a quick glance of the white-haired junior (Akira) before Cassiopeia continued to excitedly show everyone else. It was a little humorous as Cassiopeia discussed the junior’s gender with her little contraption friend. β€œWell, he's very pretty for a boy! So cute!" Gen chuckled and looked over at Vika, as they hadn’t been able to talk much since the group formed. She gave the girl a reassuring smile and a few words. β€œI hope you’re not nervous ma cherie~ we’re quite a good class of seniors this year.” Gen wasn’t quite so lucky back when she was a junior. The memory itself was making her smile crack. Her senior would get so annoyed at her overuse of the word darling because she was the younger one in that pairing arrangement.

"I'll be looking for him then! Wish me luck okay? I'll see you all later." Gen waved as Cassiopeia made the first move to leave. "Fukui-san, Saitou-san, I will be going on ahead as well. Excuse me." She watched Aeon leave before sighing aloud beside her friend Vika. She had already told him to call her Gen, but as she predicted he was going to stubbornly keep up the formalities between them. β€œWell dear~ we must part but let’s walk home together?” She suggested even though it was practically a given with them living together. Gen handed Kazuki his folder with a lingering stare before withdrawing her grasp. β€œTry to have fun too dear~ it’s not so bad.” She said encouragingly while holding her cheek before making her way through the crowd to Shintaro further away.

”Darling~”
She extended her hand to give Shintaro his folder but as she did, she managed to glimpse a very familiar face as she eyed the ID. ”Oh, you got paired with Vika! Please do take care of her~” she nodded and looked over her shoulder as she turned away to say one more thing to urge him to follow through with his role. ”We’re a bit behind darling~” Gen was aware that he wasn’t as social as her other peers but he had a responsibility to fulfill as did every other senior. As Vika’s assigned senior, she also didn’t want the girl to be kept waiting. Goodness knows how nervous Gen herself was when she first started at Airdalen but thankfully she got the hang of things rather quickly despite her unpleasant senior.
When her favors for other seniors were done, all that was left for her to do was meet her own junior. She finally snuck an once-over at the folder’s photo to see whom she had been assigned. Saburo. Male~ Without further thought, she looked up and her purple eyes scanned the room for chestnut colored hair to match the photo. She had to maneuver around the crowds which took time being small and easily overlooked, but eventually managed to find him sitting with friends of his own. Without a doubt in her mind, she knew it was the right person. Gen was pretty good with faces and didn't feel the need to reaffirm it.

”Hello Darling~”
She approached her junior with a subtle smile, removing the paper clipped ID copy to show what she was here for before snatching an unoccupied seat near him. β€œI’m Gen Fukui, but Gen will do. Welcome to Airdalen Academy darling~” She said cheerfully, bowing her head before reading the team name. β€œWe’ll be group Lions… Lions? Well, that’s certainly something on its own don’t you think so? If not, we can change it your liking~” She proceeded to share the contents of the folder by opening it between them but her head was in the clouds. She looked for Kazuki discreetly while Saburo was occupied. She wondered how he was doing and caressed her cheek shyly thinking about the future.

Though Arietta went ahead to sit with a foreigner, Tsuyoshi had other ideas. "Forget that, there are a couple people I know over their." He said motioning towards a few seats a bit farther to the left. As they approached, Tsuyoshi called a greeting that was met by two other Seniors. As they drew closer, Saburo could make out the others a little better. One was definitely on the taller side, at least 6 feet tall. Despite being tall, the guy was pretty sturdy looking. Thinking back Saburo thought he'd heard Tsuyoshi say something about the guy being the Forward on the basketball team. The other was a bit shorter than the first with a couple girls sitting at his side. The bandages covering parts of his pleasant face stood out quite a bit, though he was pulling them off somehow. It seemed not much would look bad on the guy. Saburo had seen the second senior at last night's party, the guy's name was...Hiroki.

"How's it going Tsuyoshi?" The tall senior called back.
"It's been as good as it get's. What about you guys?"
"You know, the routine." The bandaged guy replied, flashing his pearl whites. One of the girls to his left let out a giggle.
"Guess you must hate your life if your routine is to mess with the GS."

The GS was a prominant and violent mid sized gang. GS stood for "Gun Squad" which was rather ironic since the norm was for members to carry trademark switchblades. The gang had received the nickname after a small number of the members found a way to obtain firearms. A difficult feat in Japan. They had gotten a hold of a shotgun, rifle, and pistol. The shotgun and rifle had been confiscated, but the pistol was never recovered. Therefore, one never knew if the GS member they ran into was the one packing heat. So, it was sometimes assumed that any member one ran into had a gun. Hence the name "Gun Squad" due to the assumption that any member was in possession of a firearm. Anyhow, the GS was notorious for being quick to flip their knives thus the assumption that the bandaged senior had been cut up by the GS.

"Hey, no one messes with my crew." By crew, the guy probably meant a number of girls he was often seen with. He practically looked like a pimp, and no one would be surprised if that was his future profession. "Not even the GS, that guy was the newest member of the "Guts" Squad after I was through with him." Hiroki smirked at the end of his statement and his personal companions practically gazed at him in awe. "Wait a sec, you were the kid at the party yesterday right?" the ladies man pointed a finger at Saburo.

"Yeah"
"Well you're gonna have one hell of a time, especially since you're starting out with the right crowd." The tall acquaintance of Tsuyoshi chimed in.

That was when a male voice boomed throughout the area. β€œGooood Morning!”
"You know they used to have a huge ass wide screen instead of a projector?" As Tsuyoshi said this one of the teachers moved to pull down the projection sheet.
"Really?" one of the girls next to Hiroki tilted her head a bit.
"Yeah, it was huge."
"Why'd they get rid of it for?"
"Fucking beggers from the public school smashed it. Jealous they couldn't even afford their own damn radios."

β€œAllow me to introduce myself; I am Airdalen Academy’s principal Dr. Gorou Endo.”
The Seniors around Saburo became perplexed. Not one of the group had seen the Principle before. After delivering a bit of a motivational speech, the man was shut off.

β€œI will now be handing out folders to the seniors with your activities inside. Juniors please remain seated and await your assigned senior. Compared to previous years, we will also be assigning team names due to the feedback we received from our graduated seniors. You are free to discuss your team name with your partner and change it to another animal provided it isn’t taken already. We will be proceeding with activities once everything has settled, thank you.”

"Huh?"
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you." The seniors all began to stand. "We're doing this thing where we have Freshman partners now." The group began to walk towards the teacher handing out folders. "Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and get one of us."
"Yeah...and maybe I'll get unlucky and get some fag..."
"Don't worry about it, you'll be fine." Saburo turned his head to see one of the two girls that was with Hiroki. Her brunette hair fell slightly past the shoulders and paired nicely with her fair skin and hazel eyes.

”Hello Darling~” The male Freshman raised his eyes to see a shorter girl with interestingly violet eyes and almost white hair.
"Uh...hey." Guess he didn't get lucky, but he wasn't unlucky either.
β€œI’m Gen Fukui, but Gen will do. Welcome to Airdalen Academy darling~” His senior spoke taking a seat next to him.
"I'm Saburo."
β€œWe’ll be group Lions… Lions? Well, that’s certainly something on its own don’t you think so? If not, we can change it your liking~”

Huh, Lions. Who came up with the team names? The boy wondered whether everyone's default names were this lame. He could probably come up with a better one in a few seconds..." How about'Strike'. Or 'Strikes' whichever one fits better."

At the response of her junior, she temporarily abandoned her daydreams. "Saburo? Lovely~" Gen replied, glad her junior was comfortable with referring to each other on a first name basis despite it being their first meeting. It made her feel more at ease with the program already. As she was flicking past folder papers, she found a mix of the expected and the unexpected. The schedules were there which didn't come as a surprise at all but then there were gum and balloons too. She definitely did not see that coming.

"How about 'Strike'. Or 'Strikes' whichever one fits better."
Gen shifted her gaze from the folder back to her junior, a bit confused. Her intense purple eyes stared into his hazel, widening slightly but showing no emotion like a mirror that could only reflect what it saw. "Strikes? Is that an animal?" she asked in a serious tone. Gen was pretty sure it wasn't the name of an animal but she had to ask to clarify. Maybe in some foreign country such an animal existed. While she wasn't upset, her 'light and frothy' attitude had left her for this one question. She didn't want a junior to trick her into asking the teachers for a group name change when it didn't follow the rules to begin with. Gen was a nice person but she also wasn't the type to let someone she just met make a fool out of her either. "If it isn't, I'm afraid I can't do anything darling~ Every team is named after an animal under the rules." Her voice returned to normal, sing-song like and cheerful as she smiled with closed eyes and handed the junior his schedule.

"Paging someone named Kon Mai! Kon Mai! Report to this very awesome Miyamoto Kazuki who is speaking. My time is worth millions so hustle it junior! Thanks!
Gen opened her eyes again after passing the schedule over to Saburo at the sound of Kazuki's voice filling the hall. She didn't need to look to know it was him but she wanted to. She turned around in her seat and at the sight of him in the distance, Gen couldn't help but smile. She was almost certain Kazuki wasn't going to go through with the program but there he was going through with it in his own... mischievous way. Still, Gen felt like she had personally achieved something. At least, that was what she wanted to believe. She had given him the folder which he accepted, and she had encouraged him to have fun which he also agreed with. Surely, that had to mean something right? Or was it something all girls with a pretty face were capable of when it came to managing the delinquent senior? Gen didn't want to believe that. She wanted to put a positive interpretation into everything.

"So~ we also have Strawberry watermelon gum~" she said, removing it from the folder and leaving it on her junior's lap. She personally wasn't interested in having gum right now; a little worried how silly she might look chewing on it with a certain someone around.
At the sound of the microphone in use, Gen closed the folder giving her full attention to the staff members.
"I hope you are all having a lovely time and making new friends! And also prepared to make more as we split into bigger groups! We will also be explaining activities so please listen and watch carefully everyone!"
Gen looked at her junior out of the corner of her eye before looking again towards the front. She was all for calling people by their first names but 'friend' wasn't a term she applied lightly. Saburo seemed... alright. Gen hadn't managed to deduce if he would be placed in the 'really like' or 'really hate' category yet. It appeared she had a lot of people to think over when it came to whom she decided to push away or hold dear. There's just no point in people for small talk alone really, I seek something a little deeper and more meaningful. Such thoughts were probably not what others would expect from her, with her positive outlook and the very way Gen called everyone a darling. However, that was her sole reason for categorizing everyone and keeping things simple. She didn't want to invest her emotions into people who would leave her, her fear.

Gen's attention had been a little off as she thought over the concept of friends that she had only managed to get a gist of the instructions given by Ms. Araya and Mrs. Kita but it was enough to suffice. A wish? That piqued Gen's interest. She chuckled lightly at the mention.
Lions and Jaguars..."
Gen stood up from her seat and pinched the end of Saburo's sleeve between her fingers, an encouraging smile upon her face. "Let’s go, darling~". She led him along and brushed past the crowds with her hair energetically swinging against her back, looking for a spot where she wouldn't be blocked by tall students. When she found a spot, she let her junior go and provided him with the essential items to get started. Raising her folder that said 'LIONS’, Gen was not knowing who to expect to come.

The small junior did wonder as to whether his bad attitude stemmed from his hunger or if he was naturally like that. Mai wasn't sure if her being paired with him was a good idea. Should I call to switch Seniors? The thought was quickly squashed as asking would involve her actually going up to the administration and explain to them why she didn't think the pairing wasn't a good idea. Then again the next person probably wouldn't do so great either. Or maybe it was just her that couldn't handle Kazuki. From the looks of it he didn't quite understand her and she hated it. Her stutter was something she would really have to work on fixing, at least to where people can understand what she's trying to say.

Oi!" Mai flinched. She wasn't used to be talked to in such a rough manner. Most of the men that she had ever been around were courteous and kind. They never spoke loudly or in a rude arrogant manner. Green eyes flicked up to his face then to the right behind him. "Stop with all your stuttering. It hurts my ears. Can't you speak normally or something?" Although she was a little hurt by his words, he was right. Akira may have been able to look past it but she couldn't possibly expect for everyone to be like him. Mai opened her mouth to speak but then stopped knowing she'd just give him more ammunition. She thought of what she wanted to say but it all went out the window the moment mischief spread his lips into a smile.

To be honest that look in his eyes unnerved her and made her even more nervous. She felt like she'd be eaten any moment now. What could he possibly be thinking ran through her head but it soon became clear what it was."Are you taking advantage of your small size and that stutter of yours so, you could look cute?" Mai's mouth dropped. She couldn't believe her ears. Never in her entire life had that notion ever come across her mind. Of course she was aware that others thought that but still. "N-no! T-that's n-not- Forcing herself to close her mouth, Mai was beginning to get frustrated. The more that he spoke the more nervous she got. There was little chance of her calming down enough to at least lessen the stutter to where she could be understood.

"I know I'm that hot, but girls lose their appeal if they try too hard." Again Mai was shocked by his words. Sure he was a good looking person but apparently he was also very conceited. Instead of speaking she opted for shaking her head vigorously to say no but she doubted he understood what she was trying to say. The fact that he said it with such confidence irked Mai but she was also a bit jealous that he could say it so easily.

Biting her lip, Mai looked up at Kazuki. "I'll give you a deal since you're my junior or whatever." "A-a d-deal?" She debated whether his deal would be good for her but she would only know once he explained himself further. "I don't like that stuttering because it's annoying, so fix it. If you don't..." As he got closer Mai stepped back away from him. Eventually he was close to being level with her and she bit her lip even harder. "I would make you a deal. For every word you stutter, I'll make you red as a tomato every time." She swallowed, or she tried to, the lump in her throat. The things he could do to her were endless but hopefully, hopefully they were no worse than him picking her up like some kids toy. Mai shook her head to rid herself of the possibilities before spluttering out a quick response. "W-what!? He then moved his head so his lips were close to her ear. "I'll enjoy it very much." His tone of voice was very low and quite seductive but the image in her head shattered when he blew into her ear. "Ah!" Mai jumped away from him, holding onto her ear and with a face incredibly red. " Ha! You look weird!" Her eyes started to water from the embarrassment as a few groups nearby looked towards the sound of the small yelp.

Thankfully the teachers spoke, distracting the other students and Kazuki for a moment. It would seem they'd have to pair up with another group and make wishes. The wish part sounded fun but she wasn't sure about keeping the balloon off the ground. Was it even possible for her to play that sort of game at her height. She bit her lip again and clutched her other arm close to her body. It was then that she realized she was shaking. Mai looked around, trying to get her thoughts to move else. She wondered how they would find the other half of their group. Will they be nice people like Akira? Oh but maybe they'll be like Kazuki. Just thinking about it put a damper on her spirit. If it meant she'd be handled like some man's plaything she'd much rather deal with the embarrassment that would undoubtedly come from calling her cousin.

Kazuki didn't seem all that excited to do the activity and if he left that'd be good but also bad for her. If he left now she'd have no one to do the activity with. Right when it looked like he really was going to leave a voice called out to him. Mai looked over to see an older man approach the two of them, probably a teacher from her observations. Suddenly the teacher grabbed Kazuki's ear and twisted it while yelling at him to participate. It looked like Kazuki could be handled, with the right handler of course. As she watched Mai silently rooted for this teacher. If he was around she wouldn't have to worry too much about her senior doing strange things to her, at least she hoped so. After hearing what he wanted to hear, the teacher left and Kazuki snapped at her for the balloons and paper.

She made sure to get her own balloon and paper before giving him his own. Unlike her senior Mai put more thought into her wish. Originally her wish would have been to make friends or do better this year than before but now that she knew what breaking the deal with Kazuki would entail she was quick to write something to counter it. Maybe, just maybe she could get over her stutter overnight and not have to worry about Kazuki's dangerous deal. "Are you done shortstuff?" Mai glanced at him worriedly and hastened her pace. Once she finished writing down her wish she blew up her balloon, which had a little difficulty with but eventually she got the slip of paper inside and tied it off. "We don't got all day and who the hell are the lions, anyway?"

Mai presented him her finished balloon but then took it away upon realizing just how foolish that would seem. She wondered if she should answer his question but she wasn't sure if it was rhetorical or not. Shrugging her shoulders, Mai walked away from Kazuki just enough to where she could get a better look at things. It was then that she saw it, a folder that said Lions but it soon disappeared amongst the crowd. Looking back at Kazuki, she called out to him. "K-kazuki-s-san! I-i t-think I-I f-found t-them!" Her stutter had lessened but in hopes of avoiding his end of the deal, Mai scurried over to where she assumed the group Lions were. Thankfully they were where she had last glimpsed them.

Approaching them, Mai looked back to see if Kazuki had followed after her. Now that he was Mai focused her attention on the Senior-Junior pair before her. One of them was a shorter girl with beautiful hair and stunningly purple eyes. The other was a young man, much taller than the girl, but with brown hair and similar colored eyes. The two, in Mai's opinion, contrasted against one another and they both looked quite nice. Realizing she was staring, Mai quickly presented her folder that said Jaguars. "Ah I-I am Kon, K-kon M-Mai. P-pleased to m-make y-your a-aqquan-tice." Bowing quickly, a small shy smile appeared on her face. Hopefully they didn't target her stutter like Kazuki did.

Kazuki really has no idea why he was forced to attend here by his Uncle. This school and him do not match up really. He was more commonly out of classes than in them anyways. There are quite the selections of women here. He appreciates that part, but for the undesirables, there are a lot which cancels that feminine touch. He couldn't help but released a heavy sigh while scratching the back of his hair. A public school would have been preferable for him than all of these uptight and childish activities. He was rather busy with his own inner discussion that he didn't notice that Mai walked away from him a bit. He was not pleased with the activity or with anything else. He just wants to skip out of here.

His eyes lingered towards the exit doors which were currently guarded by the staff. Tough luck, there. He roamed his eyes a bit more by looking at the windows and even at the ceilings. He was actually formulating a plan on how to leave. It's not like he really cared for his teeny-weeny junior and frankly speaking, he'll be doing them both a favor if he just leaves. He was about to move away not in the direction where Mai is when... "Where are you going." That deadpanned tone was none other than his Uncle as he looked behind him. Why was he here again? "I'm looking for the kittens... I mean the lions." There goes his escape plan. He inwardly sighed as he noticed something odd about his Uncle, then something clicked as he smirked. "If you're looking for the entrance, it's that way." His Uncle glared at him, not willing to admit he forgot. "I know that! You better behave!" He was again left on his own as he shook his head.

That's when he heard his name being spoken like in a broken record or something. His eyes narrowed at that and looked at the direction where it came from. It's a good thing that it was no longer in a soft voice of a mouse. "What did I say about that stut---" He wasn't able to finish his sentence as he turned around to see that Mai was scurrying away. She was talking about finding someone from what he could decipher. This was like uncovering secret codes. It's too much work for him. Anyways, he was a bit pissed as she ran off like that. She better be prepared for what he was about to do to her. He followed after her in a very casual manner. It wasn't hard to catch up since she has short legs and he has long legs. When she steps 10 paces, he just do it one or two. (this is not a very realistic comparison). It was also no problem for him to keep track of her through the crowd as long as he has his contacts on.

The mouse girl, yeah he would call her that from now on, stopped. He also did so and raised his eye level for Mai introduced herself in the most ridiculous fashion. It meant someone was in front of them. Did she found the kittens---the lions? "Oh!" It was clear that he was surprised at what or rather who he saw. It was unexpected, but not unwelcomed. His surprise expression turned into that carefree smile of his with a dash of certain mischief. "If it isn't my dearest Gen." His eyes drifted to the folder the other senior was holding and found the word LIONS on it. "You're the lions, huh? Jaguars here. I guess we'll be stuck for a while then." Things just got a lot more entertaining for him.

His golden eyes than landed on the boy beside Gen. This one must probably be her junior. "So, that's the one you got." He gave the occasional nods while looking at the freshman (Saburo). "Not bad at all." He would have chosen a boy which he could roughhouse, with girls, he still has to be delicate, but there's also that another fun way to go about with women, which reminds him of that deal, his eyes glinted with such promise. He looked at Mai and honestly that smile on his lips was so similar to that of a predatory animal about to jump on its prey, if predators do smile. "Mai-chan~~~" He called out to her with that sing-song voice. It was a clear sign that something was about to happen which he was going to enjoy, but was something that she wasn't going to at all.

He didn't wait for anything as he scooped Mai into his arms and carried the girl like a prince would do to his princess. She wasn't heavy to begin with, so it was no problem for someone like Kazuki. "This is the one I got. She reminds me of a hamster toy. Cute right?" He noted with that cheerful tone of his. It wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not. He then cradled Mai closer to him as his chin was now on top of her head with her face at the crook of his neck. She could smell Kazuki's natural scent which seems to be a mixture of dark chocolate and musk creating a sensual yet comforting odor. It's a bit odd since there was nothing very comforting about the infamous delinquent of Airdalen. "It makes me want to protect her very much." To add spice, he even placed a kiss at the top of Mai's head before released the girl from his arms.

There were a lot of whistles, ooohhs, and comments being thrown by those who witnessed Kazuki's action. They were clearly finding his princely act another theatrics by the boys calling him out not to play with a little girl's heart in a joking manner. The girls were obviously love-struck and wished it was them being carried like that. He answered it with playful winks of his and the... "Yeah... Yeah... You're all just jealous." He then looked at Gen remembering the girl's advice of having fun. "I guess I owe you one." He approached the senior girl and then grabbed hold her hand as he placed a kiss at the top of her hand with his eyes of golden gazed at her. "Thank you, dearest Gen." He ended it with that devilish smile of his as he released her hand while also taking a few steps back. "So, when are we going to do this thing huh? Hopefully when I'm still young." He said as he raised his already inflated balloon, smoothly changing the subject.

"Strikes? Is that an animal? If it isn't, I'm afraid I can't do anything darling~ Every team is named after an animal under the rules." Huh? Since when did it have to be an animal? He must have missed it when the teachers were blabbing. What kind of animal would a "strike" be anyways? And what was up with this girl? "Darling" rang in every other sentence out of her mouth.
"Nevermind" Saburo said, receiving the schedule from his senior. After a quick glance he went ahead and set the paper down. Nothing exciting, just what you'd think. Classes, classes, and classes. Looking back towards Gen, Saburo began picking up on something. The senior had a weird habit of looking into the distance and smiling. Isn't that something old people liked to do? The Junior thought he remembered his grandfather doing it every now and then.

Saburo was jolted from his own thoughts by Gen's voice. "So~ we also have Strawberry watermelon gum~" The package was left in Saburo's lap. Who was coming up with these flavors? Saburo couldn't really criticize though, since he chewed gum often. The boy went ahead with opening up the package and slipping a piece of gum into his mouth.

"1-2-3, hello? Hello!" The voice belonged to yet another teacher. More instructions, perfect. Saburo was starting to get seriously bored of this stuff. He never liked icebreakers or anything of the sort. He didn't need a senior partner who acted like some twisted mother...Well, come to think of it, he wouldn't know what a mother was supposed to be like...

The junior shook himself off a bit. This was getting weird as hell, and he wasn't even talking with anyone. He hoped he wasn't going crazy or anything.

"Lions and Jaguars" The mentioning of his team name caught Saburo's attention just in time to hear the other team they were paired with. Wondering who would be on the other group, the Junior seized to listen to the rest of the instructions only coming back to the present from the touch of his Senior partner.

"Let’s go, darling~" This "darling" thing was starting to sort of creep Saburo out. He didn't get the way things were going. The Junior usually had pretty good luck, but it wasn't holding up today. Getting paired with a strange girl and meeting an unenthused Arietta. With this keeping up he'd end up getting some great people in the other group. He might even get some homework. HOMEWORK ON THE FIRST DAY! No, things had to take a turn for the better soon.

"Ah I-I am Kon, K-kon M-Mai. P-pleased to m-make y-your a-aqquan-tice." And things weren't looking up. Literally. The owner of the voice was a very short girl. She had to have been a Junior so that would mean there was still a senior...

"Oh!" Perfect. Saburo recognized the voice fairly quickly. "If it isn't my dearest Gen." Great, the seniors knew each other and got along well...at least from what he could decipher. "You're the lions, huh? Jaguars here. I guess we'll be stuck for a while then."

"Yeah..." Kazuki's eyes then found their way to Saburo.

"So, that's the one you got. Not bad at all." Saburo fixed the senior with a challenging glare. He didn't like how the dude was addressing him one bit. Kazuki then proceeded with a ridiculous show of toying with his Junior. Afterwards the guy went ahead and landed a kiss on Gen's HAND. What was this dude on? Seriously, the only way Saburo thought you could have fun with this guy was if you were intoxicated too. Tsuyoshi had some explaining to do.

"So, when are we going to do this thing huh? Hopefully when I'm still young." The strange senior picked up as if nothing happened. Saburo just stood there just staring at Kazuki. He wasn't even mad, the show before him just scrambled all of Saburo's emotions. Just two words escaped the Junior's lips.

"The FUCK?"

Gen's eyes wandered as she continued holding the folder up, hoping their new team members would show up soon. It seemed like the other students already had everything in order. She hadn't even had the opportunity to write her wish and blow up her balloon. Saburo was being awfully quiet but Gen had no complaints with a quiet junior for a partner. As friendly as Gen could be, she was not a fan of small talk but it was part of getting to know anyone to a familiar degree. After that, she could categorize and settle with the few she could truly call friends or dear to her.
Nearby she noticed a group of students whispering and eyeing a particular other group so she decided to take a look for herself. She turned her head still persistently holding up the folder to see familiar faces. It came as no surprise to her that Cassiopeia was involved but she was genuinely surprised at the other familiar face, Rhys. He studies here? The closer she looked at the two the odder it got as Cassiopeia leaned toward him as if they were going to kiss. Alas, before she could confirm the situation her attention was stolen away as she was approached.

"Ah I-I am Kon, K-kon M-Mai. P-pleased to m-make y-your a-aqquan-tice." Gen lowered her folder to hold against her side at the sight of the Jaguars folder in the small girl's (Mai) clutches. Her eyes almost shimmered in excitement if that was possible after getting a good look at her new acquaintance. She's sooo cute~! Gen didn't mind the girl's stutter or shyness as she only smiled and bowed her head with respect in response. It was a little tempting to play with the girl's hair as she had done earlier that morning with Vika but she could hold herself back just fine. "Charmed to meet you darling~ I am Gen Fukui." Before she could proceed with introducing her junior since the boy (Saburo) appeared to be the quiet sort right now, they were interrupted shortly after by the little one's senior.

"Oh!" Gen blinked quickly when she recognized Mai's senior. She was unsure how to react and probably as surprised as he was. If not, more so. Is this... fate? Kazuki conquered his surprise a lot quicker, bringing back his trademark smile. "If it isn't my dearest Gen." Gen blushed as he said 'my dearest Gen', cheeks tinted a light pink that would be barely noticeable if not for her pale complexion contrasting with the shade. While she wasn't like the average girl who blushed on every flirty cue, she had a current crush on Kazuki and she was taken aback by possibly being paired with him for this minor activity. It was yet to be confirmed so she didn't want to get her hopes up but the very thought... was enough to leave her open and vulnerable to blushing. "You're the lions, huh? Jaguars here. I guess we'll be stuck for a while then." And there was the confirmation she had been waiting for. It's going exactly the way it does in the plays. Coincidences can be such cruel favors... She was thankful to be able to spend time with Kazuki without having to approach him herself but it was also cruel because this game of Balloon Bop wasn't going to serve as one of her better impressions.

"Yeah..." her junior finally spoke since the team name suggestion, even if one word was barely anything. It didn't appear as if he was going to say much else so Gen took the initiative as a responsible senior should. "Mhm... but I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage, dear~ this isn't a game I'm familiar with." She responded to Kazuki with honesty as the blush faded and gestured her available hand that wasn't holding the folder, over to her junior. "Well while we're already acquainted, this is Saburo Inoue." Gen observed as Kazuki's eyes landed on her junior. He looked intrigued but it was always hard to read him even if Gen had been familiar with him for quite some time as fellow seniors. It was hard not to be familiar with him as he stuck out like a sore thumb in both looks and trouble-making. It was a shame he barely attended classes. Maybe if he had, Gen would have known him better.

"So, that's the one you got." Kazuki nodded a few times before saying, "Not bad at all." While she could tell Saburo was displeased, Gen didn't find what Kazuki was doing or saying offensive at all. Maybe she was biased or simply already aware of the way things went with Kazuki. "Mhm hm~" Gen smiled and nodded with closed eyes as if she was pleased with their pairing. Despite that, the truth was she didn't know how she felt about it. Saburo and her hadn't really spoken to each other much but she was just always polite no matter the setting unless pushed off the edge.

"Mai-chan~~~" Gen watched as Kazuki scooped his junior Mai up with ease. "This is the one I got. She reminds me of a hamster toy. Cute right?" Hmm.. Gen was getting a little worried and not for herself, but for Mai. Kazuki could be quite unpredictable in his behavior but she would not stop him so long as no one was getting hurt or if the little one called for help. In the event Mai would call for help, she already had plans in the back of her head to distract him and draw his attention elsewhere. Besides that, the situation was out of her hands. Gen had no intention to get mad or give reason for her new crush to be mad at her. That was an absurd thing to do considering her newly discovered feelings. "She's absolutely adorable~ I almost wish I had a little sister." She said, holding a hand up to her heart to express sincerity. Gen did find it strange that he called his junior a 'toy' though. Does he consider us girls... toys for his entertainment? It was a possibility she had to consider especially with a reputation like his.

Gen's friendly behavior along with her smile did not falter. Her thoughts remained her own. Being lost in thought though, she only just managed to catch a glimpse of Kazuki making the bold move to kiss his junior on the forehead. It attracted the attention of quite a number of students both admirers and boys alike. "Yeah... Yeah... You're all just jealous." Gen chuckled as if she understood. Gen wasn't hit with a pang of jealousy despite the act and didn't consider Mai a rival. It was clear to her the girl was not asking for it and that whatever point Kazuki was trying to make was not out of romantic intention. Gen had merely sighed inwardly with relief that it was all he seemed to have been planning after his voice took a sing-song like direction. Her voice was normally like that but for Kazuki, it was not a good thing to be sure.

"I guess I owe you one." Kazuki turned to her and before she could speak, had taken her breath away by planting a kiss on her hand. "Thank you, dearest Gen." Gen's heart started racing and no words were coming to mind on the spot. While she could fathom his behavior as a ploy, she didn't want to believe that. She wanted to believe that there was more in wait behind the eyes of gold and behind the smile of a devil. His hand was warm... She managed to finally register some words in her mind when his hand had left her as if being lifted from a spell. Will it ever happen again I wonder? Will we ever touch hands again as equals rather than simply for passing time and amusement? So many questions started coming at her wave after wave. She was optimistic but not a blind fool. Pursuing this interest wasn't going to be easy or safe. At least, not for Gen. She silently focused on her breathing to calm herself before responding in her usual manner. "Anytime dear~ Glad I could be of help."

"The FUCK?" Gen's head slightly turned, her eyes cold and harsh as they settled on her junior. While friendly, she was intolerant of impolite behavior. She had always made an effort to be polite herself and it made her blood boil that this junior was speaking out of turn. "What.. did you just say...?" Her voice was as cold as her eyes were, sing-song and alike abandoned. Gen was being absolutely serious and Saburo would have to watch his next words. Another reason for her being easily set off was because Saburo by being impolite was embarrassing her. If her junior was out of control, it could imply that she had performed poorly as a senior and that was not true. She also was embarrassed that Saburo had done that in front of Kazuki, not taking into account that the senior was probably used to the occasional cursing. It was also in front of Mai as well, a sweet little girl whose delicate ears shouldn't be accustomed to such a foul tongue.
Waiting for her junior's next move and not letting her eyes drift from his which was applying further tension and pressure on him, she pulled out a pen from her folder and clicked it loudly. While she held the pen in a usual manner she had an obvious firm grip. Her grip was so firm that one could assume that she was intending to use the pen as a weapon against him should he say something she doesn't approve of again. "Be careful what you wish for..." She said, relevant to both the activity and what he may say.

The little junior took note of the shimmer in the other girls eyes who introduced herself. "Charmed to meet you darling~ I am Gen Fukui.” Mai smiled at Gen glad to have finally met someone who was at least nicer than Kazuki. It would seem her experience here could potentially get better but those thoughts were shattered by an oh of surprise. β€œIf it isn't my dearest Gen." The junior hesitantly turned around to see that smile she knew she’d eventually become accustomed to. It was a smile laced with mischief. They know each other? Based on how he addressed her as dearest maybe she was his girlfriend. When Mai thought about it a bit more she dismissed the thought. Even if she had just met Kazuki, she had a guess that he wasn’t the type to just settle down.

Mai turned her attention back to Gen and her Junior, hopeing her senior wasn’t going to do something embarrassing because of her stutter earlier. You're the lions, huh? Jaguars here. I guess we'll be stuck for a while then.” Mai nodded in agreement but with a sweet smile. The other junior finally spoke a word but it seemed hesitant and Mai could understand why. β€œSo, that's the one you got." Again the small girl didn’t understand why he often referred to others as if they were objects. She felt a little relieved though that it wasn’t just her he was treating in such a manner. "Not bad at all." Mai glanced over at the other boy (Saburo), giving him a shy apologetic look for her seniors demeanor towards him.

"Mai-chan~~~" One could visibly see the smaller student shiver in dread. Mai bit her lip and slowly turned to face Kazuki but before she could she was scooped up into the air. In the swiftness of the action Mai let out a little squeak of surprise. She did her best to hide from any onlookers while being held in arms. Then she remembered she was wearing a skirt and her face turned a shade reminiscent of a tomato. Mai quickly stretched her skirt out so that it wouldn’t fall down. β€œThis is the one I got. She reminds me of a hamster toy. Cute right?" She didn’t dare look him in the face lest she burst into tears of embarrassment. β€œShe's absolutely adorable~ I almost wish I had a little sister." Green orbs flashed over to where Gen stood with her hand over her heart. Confusion flashed across her face as she didn’t understand why this potentially nice person would say such words that would undoubtedly encourage Kazuki even further.

Of all things Kazuki could potentially do to her this may be the worst. Green eyes darted about trying to avoid looking at those around her or her captor. He then pulled her in closer, resting his chin on the top of her head. Mai let out a soft whimper as she stiffened at the much closer contact. β€œM-ma-ay I-I b-be p-pu-ut d-down?” She said quietly and what could be considered a tinge of fear. Her face was against the crook of his neck which oddly smelled of chocolate and something like musk. It was a very strange combination yet somehow it was almost comforting. Mai blinked hard a few times to get those thoughts out of her mind. β€œIt makes me want to protect her very much." Again Mai shivered as a chill ran down her spine. It was then that she felt it, soft lips pressed against her head briefly. Her mouth dropped open in shock and she let out another squeak.

The whole spectacle was embarrassing but thankfully Kazuki put her down. There a bunch of ooh’s, comments and even whistles. The group of boys close by even teased her senior not to play with her heart. All Mai could do was bite her lip and hope the tears don’t fall over. At this particular moment Mai wished Akira was with her. He did promise her that he’d take care of Kazuki if he ever did something to her. In thinking this Mai realized that she was just leaving her problems for someone else to handle. I shouldn’t tell him. We did just meet after all.

All this thinking made her zone out so she only heard Kazuki thanking Gen. Mai glanced up at the other senior, wondering if she had put Kazuki up to this. Is she in league with him?” "So, when are we going to do this thing huh? Hopefully when I'm still young. In truth Mai really did just want to start the activity. Hopefully the others will forget what had just occurred. β€œThe FUCK.” Her head snapped up to look at Saburo. A look of surprised plastered on her face. She had never met someone who would say such an ugly without pause, well after Kazuki anyway. "What.. did you just say...?" This time Mai flinched at how cold Gen’s words were. It was almost as if she were challenging him to say another words or a string of words akin to what he had just said. Mai knew she certainly didn’t want to be on this seniors bad side but her assumptions were right then she probably already was.

"Everyone, activity start!"

They hadn’t even formed a circle and yet the teachers had already announced the activity would start. Panicking a bit, Mai looked at the others expectantly. If she remembered correctly they would all have to hold hands and keep the balloon from touching the floor or something like that. Mai wasn’t sure if everyone was still in a foul mood or not but she had to speak up otherwise they’d never get anywhere. β€œD-do w-we form a c-circle?” As she spoke she positioned herself next to Gen. There was no way she would want to be sandwiched between Kazuki and Saburo. Hopefully Kazuki didn’t attempt to tease her even more than he already had.

"It's time to bop that balloon, but make no mistake. I don't believe in wishes, but I have no problems popping other people's wishes. Just be aware."

Kazuki cocked one of his eyebrows at Gen's junior because of the boy's choice of words. He wasn't going to throw a lecture, there because, there's the quote, freedom of speech, right? He was simply interested and even more when the temperature around Gen dropped into the range of an almost absolute zero. This was hilarious by many means. That's why he couldn't help but chuckle at the turn of events. His sound of amusement resembled that of a carefree child, but that's mainly what he is when not in a bad mood, a child who does whatever he wants no matter the consequences are. "I like you kid!" He noted with his hearty laugh as he looked at the red-haired lad with a look of playful interest.

It's fun to see what kind of guy this Saburo Inoue is. Cussing here and there isn't anything special, but looking at the kid's appearance, the defiant look the boy gave him earlier, and his choice of words. The boy appeared to be the kind of crowd he usually mixes with. He was mostly out of school due to his skipping classes and hangs out either do some little misdemeanors or go partying. It was more appealing for him than sitting inside a room listening to lectures by nonsensical teachers and surrounded by uptight rich kids who has no idea of living a life. Anyways, if he is those kind of people, he is frequently with, he won't have any troubles with this male junior, like being annoyed with or something. But, it can't be the same for all of them, like with his fellow senior, Gen, seeing her all frosty about the word of her junior was an angle he finds entertaining. He had heard of her temperament, but he never had seen it up-close.

He settled himself a bit and addressed Gen who appeared to be having a competition with the icebergs of Antarctica, making a point with the pen she was now holding. "Don't sweat it too much." He said while placing a hand on Gen's shoulder to ease some tension. "No harm done there. Plus..." His words trailed a bit as he placed his finger in between of Gen's eyebrows. "We wouldn't want you to have wrinkles all over that pretty face." He flashed her that smile of his, but without the mischief behind it. That was something not done every day, especially for the kind of guy Kazuki is. "'Kay?" He then removed his finger and his hand from her shoulder as his eyes of gold now looked at the male junior. "The name's Miyamoto, Kazuki." He flashed Saburo with one of his trademarked smiles while reaching out his hand for a handshake. "You got spunk, nice."

The conversation did not go any deeper or wider as an announcement rang through the hall. The signal for the activity to start was given. "Tch..." He clicked his tongue as the sign of his reluctance and the irritation of this stupid activity, but he was already here and that sad excuse of an uncle of his would not get out of his case. The only difference is that he could be entertained by these three people around him. He would have just to make do it for now. "About time." The faster this ends, the faster he could scatter. There was no way he was going to spend this beautiful day inside this cramped-up school. He then gazed at his junior when she heard her spoke, which he had actually forgotten about. Yes, he wasn't that keen to care about people's welfare that much.

This of course only applies to some people; he was forced to interact with. Mai was forced on him by this stupid senior-junior program. But, he would enjoy this partnership the way he knows best. He had already done it after all with that deal of his. He just didn't show it as openly as he could. "Oh..." He then had that devilish smirk on his lips and his voice delivered that sing-song tune. "Mai-chan~~~ " His eyes reflected the little girl's form, but there was nothing romantic about the look he was giving her. There was fun and the hint of danger. "You should do your best, so your wish comes true." His words mean well, but the way he said had an entire different meaning. They have that deal, didn't they? He would concede with that with all of his black black heart.

"Circle... Circle... Circle..." He then stood beside Mai with his balloon still in hand. "Come on people, let's get a move on." There was a mysterious glint inside his eyes as he waited for the people forming the Lions to complete the circle. When it was done, he looked at the others' balloon. "I guess may the best wish wins." He then started the game. He wasn't sure how, but from what he had heard. They must keep their balloons afloat until only one remains. "So, who'll start this game?" Because, if they are looking at him. He has no idea how to begin. If it was just throwing the balloon, he would do that, but he heard something about names and body parts. Someone has to lead that, because he never played this game ever. The games he only remembered playing with balloons is that pop it with the girls, which lead to a very steamy event.

A---Anyway, the game is balloon bop, he would have to keep those thoughts at bay for now, or he could just write it down later as a basis for some plot. He does have that special story to make and a deadline to hit. Well, the more reason, he would skip classes then.

"What.. did you just say...?" The words made Saburo stop for a second. He hadn't noticed before, but his senior had this kind of sing-song voice, which was now absent. As their eyes met, the Junior could see the icy glare in Gen's eyes that were never there before. He had hit a nerve. Gen must be one of those stickler's for cursing, great. The click from a pen caught Saburo's attention as his senior held it with a death grip. "Be careful what you wish for..." Was she threatening him? It sure looked like it from the way she held that pen. The freezing silence was broken by a chuckle that gradually grew into an all out laugh. Who would that be? None other than Kazuki Miyamoto.

"I like you kid!" Maybe this guy wasn't so bad after all. He just broke the "ice" hanging in the air. "Don't sweat it too much. No harm done there. Plus... We wouldn't want you to have wrinkles all over that pretty face. Kay?" Kazuki's attempt to deflate the situation wouldn't be in vain...hopefully.
The male Senior then turned to Saburo "The name's Miyamoto, Kazuki."
"Inoue Saburo" The Junior replied, shaking the hand offered by Kazuki.
"You got spunk, nice."
"Thanks man" It looked like things between him and the mischievous Senior might turn out alright. Hell they might even be friends.

"Everyone, activity start!"

The announcement put an end to the warm moment, immediately jolting Saburo's thoughts. Realizing he hadn't made ready a balloon or note, the Junior scrambled for the team folder. Hastily jotting down nonsense chicken scratch and almost tearing the paper in the process, Saburo made record time readying a balloon.β€œD-do w-we form a c-circle?” Oh that's right, or was it? There was a downside to ignoring the announcements after all, but everything would be fine. After all, Gen would know what to do most of the time.

"You should do your best, so your wish comes true." Seriously? Even if it was directed to tease his Junior, Saburo hoped Kazuki would come up with better material as the school year progressed. Without losing too much time, Saburo added to the group circle. Might as well get this over with. The staff had a little work to do regarding activities if they wanted participation. This balloon thing was something out of a preschool classroom. Wishes coming true? Come on, everyone ought to know at this age it's all just BS. Nevertheless, it really wasn't worth getting in trouble over something as stupid as this.

"So, who'll start this game?" Now that's a real question. It didn't look like Kazuki was down, Mai is probably too shy to step up, and he himself sure as hell wasn't doing it. Even if he knew what to do, starting this nonsense up wasn't high on his list. So that left the same person Saburo's gaze settled upon. His Senior partner, Gen. Hopefully, the girl was calmed enough to go ahead and take one for the team. Otherwise there would be a stalemate. One that would undoubtedly be broken by a method matching the stupidity of the balloon activity. Probably something like "nose goes," which Saburo was never quick to catch. Despite how meaningless the activity was, it was a bit awkward to see the other groups up and away with their own struggling to take off.

"Gen...?"

Gen's short fuse to uncalled for cussing didn't waver even as Kazuki started to laugh freely at the situation. She was primarily focused on her assigned junior and waiting for his behavior to either desist or persist. Maybe it was her father's occupation as a butler that had made her detest swearing so much. She had just been raised to find such language very rude and improper. Gen could come around to understand and let it go if the situation was asking for it. There were such instances that could not be described as easily. Taking for example, Shakespeare who had made up many words even with the large vocabulary he was known for. Still, there were no excuses in plain sight for her poor junior. He had sworn at her or the group she wasn't sure, for no good reason. It definitely was not a good impression but would leave a lasting negative one in the back of Gen's mind.

"Don't sweat it too much."Gen's eyes moved off her junior and to the shoulder she felt a weight on. The weight turned out to be Kazuki's hand as he continued to address her. No harm done there. Plus..." She froze in place as he poked between her eyebrows, the motion shattering her cold demeanor and replacing it with her usual more friendly expression. She couldn't possibly remain cold towards her love interest. "We wouldn't want you to have wrinkles all over that pretty face." Gen's eyes locked on his hopelessly as if she had just been shot by cupid. His smile is so perfect..."'Kay?" Her heart was pounding like a drum. She didn't stand a chance of staying upset at this point. "If you say so, dear~" She had to hold herself back from spinning on the spot with glee. Gen was really happy to have received that almost pure smile from him. It made her feel stupidly special even in that short time frame.

β€œD-do w-we form a c-circle?” Gen snapped out of her lovesick self when the little one Mai beside her, brought her back to earth. Oh, right.. the activity. Gen had been completely distracted between her junior and Kazuki to realize that everyone else had already begun. They were greatly falling behind. "Let me do this quickly~" she mumbled to herself, using the pen in her hand and some paper tucked in the folder to quickly write her wish.

'I wish for a romance like no other this school year...'

She tapped the pen lightly against her cheek as she thought it over before tucking it inside a purple balloon - her favorite color. It was just like her to make a wish like that with no names, no specific request and a bit of mystery. She would leave it up to fate like she had always done. Gen blew up her balloon smaller than the average balloon in a hurry as her and the group started to form their circle. Standing between Mai and Saburo, she balanced the balloon on top the palms of both hands a little anxious but trying not to show it. Gen was aware she would not be able to demonstrate prowess in this certain activity. In fact, she had never done anything more with balloons beside hoist them for party decorations. This would be new to her.

Image"So, who'll start this game?" Gen gulped and looked away as Kazuki brought up the question. It wouldn't be ideal of her to lead an activity she was destined to perform poorly in. Unfortunately for her, it appeared the group was turning to her for instructions and the start. "Gen...?" She sighed, bringing up a hand to caress her chin as she spoke looking downwards. "Well... we throw a balloon and call out a name, and a body part of our choosing. The person called out must hit the balloon with the body part and the game goes on like that in repetition until the last balloon in air I suppose?"Image Gen returned both hands to her balloon and closed her eyes, breathing out. She was very unsure about participating in this but it was part of the program. Just grin and bear it! She opened her eyes and called out, "Saburo, ch--" Gen was about to say chin but unbeknownst to her, there was still a grudge taking toll. Her balloon was struck too hard it'd either pop or hit her junior's face harder than expected. She laughed sheepishly, her hand lightly tapping her forehead. "Oopsy daisy~
