Day: Monday
Weather: Sunny

It was a normal day at Airdalen Academy where the overqualified staff started to rush the final preparations for the return of their seniors and the welcoming of their new juniors.

Mr. Hayashi; the mathematics teacher was in his usual bad mood of sorts, crazily scratching at his red hair with his butt on the floor as papers descended after having bumped into Mr. Kido; the Physical Education teacher.

β€œHaha.. I’m terribly sorry.”

Mr. Kido unlike Mr. Hayashi, was taking the matter lightly while Mr. Hayashi on the other hand..

β€œARE YOU A BAFOON?!? CAN’T YOU READ? THE SIGN SAYS β€˜SLIPPERY WHEN WET-β€œ

before Mr. Hayashi could finish, Mrs. Kita; the science teacher also joined as she slipped on a piece of paper.

β€œWatch out!!!”

Mrs. Kita tried to warn as she collided into Mr. Hayashi as he was starting to get up.

β€œOof.. oh my word.”

Mrs. Kita landed on top of Mr. Hayashi who was pinned on the floor squashed by her bosom, red as a ripe tomato from both anger and embarrassment. Mrs. Kita and Mr. Kido both started to laugh nervously knowing this wasn’t going to end well untilβ€”

β€œWhat are you all doing?”

Ms. Araya; the English teacher arrived at the hallway and blinked several times trying to register the scene in her head. She gasped, holding her hands to her mouth after an explanation clicked.

β€œAre you performing some kind of cult ritual?!”

β€œNO!”

Mrs. Kita and Mr. Hayashi screamed in unison whilst Mr. Kido put his hands on his hips and laughed heartily.

Shiori Kitogawa

(*I couldn't get to a computer and I cannot copy and paste my fontmeme link on this device, or a gif. Will add those later!*)

Shiori woke up rather early, considering she wasn't able to get a lot of sleep the night before. She was luky enough to not get bags under her eyes, but she definitely had seen better days. Shiori grabbed her uniform and slinked off to the bathroom, taking a shower and getting dressed almost robotically. She came out while drying her hair, only for the short girl's eyes to meet directly with a familiar chest. it was a black suit, so it was none other than her life-long friend, Kazuhiko. She went wide eyed for a moment, seeing as she nearly made a direct collision with him as she exited her private bathroom, but she just put a gloved hand on his arm and manuevered her way around him. Her breakfast was sitting out on a breakfast in bed tray, casuing the small girl to make a small smile, "Hn, I'm not that hungry, but I hate to waste food. Ask next time, got it?" She snapped at her retainer, but sat down, putting the tray over her lap and ate the entire meal without further complaintl

"I apologize, Kitogawa-hime. It won't happen again." he chuckled, though this same scenario happened daily, and he knew that Shiori appreciated his efforts, whether she admitted it or not. He took the dishes and disposed of them once Shiori finished and escorted her to the car, shutting the door behind the thin and frail girl. He proceeded to take the driver's seat, taking her to school. Though Shiori wanted to ask Kazuhiko a question, she wasn't sure how to go about asking it. She nervously twidled her thumbs, half anxious about her question, but also because they were growing closer to Airdalen Academy.

Finally, right before they pulled up close to the campus, Shiori finally worked up the nerve to ak, but the wrong words came out, "Can you drop me off here? I don't want to be seen with a retainer on my first day back. I can walk twenty feet by myself." Her eyes widened a bit, shocked that she once again let her words show opposite meaning than her thoughts. Kazuhiko stopped the car, letting Shiori out of the car as she asked, and she gave a small bow before making her way to the school. He waved to her politely before driving off, chuckling to himself once more.

Why does he say hime? I am not a princess... Shiori thought to herself with a sigh, a bit depressed that she was unable to ask him the same question that had been bugging her for several years. Finally she made it to the inside, but did not go inside of the buildings. She instead sat at a bench, pulling out a pen and notebook.

Dear friend,

I am back to school, are you? I never got to ask Kazuhiko what he meant, I suppose I haven% changed much from when we were kids.. I know I made a promise to change, but it is terrifying. What if they hate the real me more than they already do? It's hard to trust others that much. I panic and always say the wrong thing... I wish you were here, at least one person would be on my team..

Sincerely, Shiori

She would send the letter as soon as she returned home, seeing as she sent one a week to a boy she met when she used to travel with her parents, before her brother and sister were born. He was the only person she could speak honestly to, but perhaps it was because she never had to face him directly... Although, these letters kept her spirits up. She looked forward to each reply like a child waiting for Santa Claus. It was nice to share her secrets with someone, even if she couldn't form an actual face-to-face bond. It was this long distance friendship that made her decide she wanted to change. She wanted to be able to speak more freely to Kazuhiko, exactly as she did with her friend she wrote letters to. She wanted to make new friends, but the pressure was definitely on. This was her last year of high school, her last chance to make precious high school memories. Immediately she felt herself lightly trembling in anxiety, glad that the only people present so far seemed to be the school staff. Though, she wasn% certain... She didn't want to be seen scared stiff, others would use the chance to bully her. She couldn't show a sign of weakness, or she would get hurt in the end. That my friends, is the paradox of Shiori Kitogawa.

"Back to school already?" Gen murmured as her eyelids flickered open, greeted by trails of sunlight that just made it past the curtains. With a stretch of her arms and a few yawns, she lifted herself out of bed without fuss ready to face the new day. Her uniform had already been ironed and pressed the night before as she picked them up off the nightstand and headed for the shower. She set up her iPod with its speakers, allowing her favourite tunes played in the background as she rinsed herself off and thought of home. It hadn't been long since she moved out and started renting an apartment with her roomie, Vika whom she hoped was equally as thrilled about the arrangement. Finishing her shower, she tiptoed out with a towel wrapped around her head humming melodies only to pause and stare at a spider dangling in the corner of the ceiling that she hadn't noticed before. "Are you afraid of being alone too?" she said under her breath before making numerous attempts to remove the spider that all fell short.. literally. Gen was shorter than average but it didn't really bother her. She had somehow convinced herself it was a plus to her cute charm rather than a setback. "Ah... I guess I'll have to tell Vi~"

When she was dressed, she made her way towards Vika's room wondering if the girl had even awoken. She was aware it was her first day at Airdalen compared to Gen, who was to finish her final year. "Vi dear~ are you awake?" She gently knocked on the door but with no response, opened it as it creaked to reveal her friend's form still under the covers. "Goodness~ you shouldn't be late for your first day.." Gen opened the curtains and the windows, hoping the sunlight and cool breeze was sufficient enough. "Wake up Vivi, ma cherie~" she called out in her usual sing song tone of voice. Once the light filled the room, Gen turned around and blinked several times at the state of things. The room was messy and cluttered with papers and clothes everywhere. It was unusual considering she was used to Vika keeping it tidy and organised like her own room. Perhaps she had been excited over the last few days before school? Could that be it?

"Vi, dear..." Gen clasped her hands together in front of her lap before making herself comfortable by her friend's bedside. Vika appeared to be sleeping heavily this time around but she knew the girl was never a morning person type to begin with. It would just have to take a bit of extra time and patience. Gen knew if she left the girl alone, she would easily return to sleep and that wouldn't do. Deciding to stay till her sleepy friend got out of bed, she began to stroke her fingers through the girl's ginger-colored hair and take a moment to admire it. It was so different from her own aqua blue that if her friend's hair represented the shine of sunset, then Gen's hair was more the shine of the moon. "Viii~" Gen persisted. She was sure her friend would thank her later for it, provided they manage to show up to Airdalen on time. "Perhaps we should invest in a better alarm clock for you..." she chuckled.

Fifty-nine… sixty… sixty-one…

The excitement was all-too-real. After living in the new country for a mere month, it was finally time to get started on the very purpose of moving to the tiny country. Johnny jumped with his hands for every push-up he performed, before clapping them together, then catching himself before his torso could touch the floor. His abdominals still burned from the few hundred crunches he did prior to the push-ups, but the burn did not make his rhythm falter.

To his immediate left was his low bed- basically a mattress on a slab of wood. To his right was his dresser with change of clothes. On top of the dresser was a black, white-trimmed uniform with a white button-up shirt and a red tie, complete with matching pants. Next to the uniform was a letter hand-written in Japanese. The small space of the apartment bedroom did play against his phobia something nasty, but he had gotten used to the relatively cramped quarters within the first two weeks. He never admitted it to his parents, but it was a first two weeks he really wanted to forget.

Hundred-one… hundred-two… hundred-three…

By the time he reached half-way to his standard two hundred every morning, his mother knocked on the door. β€œBreakfast is ready!” she cheerily called. Johnny could tell she was almost as excited as he was.

β€œThank you,” Johnny replied in as decent Japanese as he could possibly muster. Since it was a common phrase, he did well enough to replicate the local language in that instant. In his mind, he kept count up to a hundred and sixty-nine. He rapidly picked up the pace due to the promise of imminent breakfast. β€œI’m just about done.”

His mother chuckled in pride at the sight of her β€˜little’ boy honing his body ever towards perfection. β€œYou excited for your first day?” she asked after a long pause.

β€œYou bet!” Johnny just finished the two-hundredth one, and pushed up one more time. This time, he applied enough force to jump, and allow his legs to move beneath his torso. With two steps, he righted himself in an instant. His tanktop was drenched in sweat, as were his lightweight pants, but he felt he could still jog a thousand miles.

β€œI’m so excited for you, John,” his mother called back as she left the doorway.

Johnny followed to join his mother and father for breakfast. They both sat on two of the set of four cushions on either side of the table, eating their respective breakfasts. On the other side of the table was a bowl of protein-enriched cereal with a glass of a kale-based smoothie. The sweaty boy sat down very casually on one of the cushions and dug in.

Johnny’s mother and father were very similar to him- unusually tall, with tell-tale signs that they were both past their prime. Their muscles were hidden under lightly, yet surely developing flab. There were also more wrinkles under their eyes compared to the old family photos framed on top of a nearby waist-high bookshelf. Johnny’s mother was especially curvy, as befitting to her old career prior to her current line of work. Johnny never thought about that aspect much, but it was indeed no wonder why his father first wanted to meet her. Despite their respective physiques, neither of Johnny’s parents got into sports like their son and daughters. His father was big into construction. As a matter of fact, today was also the first day of his father’s new job. Johnny was especially excited for him, though not nearly as excited for his first day in a school on a different continent.

As his parents discussed the morning’s news, Johnny wolfed down his breakfast, as his morning workout left him with a huge appetite. Once he was finished, he brought the utensils to the sink and swiftly rinsed them out. He left the relatively clean items on the counter, as he also needed to take a shower and get ready for school.

Johnny took a warm shower, as the apartment’s water could never get really hot. It was a perfect temperature for him, however. Within minutes, he was out and dry and donning the uniform that was sent to him a week ago. The uniform fit slightly loose, as Johnny was still going through his growth spurt- as his parents were quick to inform. Despite the looseness, it did a grand job of amplifying the lean, muscular form of the tall foreigner.

He was pinning the buttons on his cuffs together when his dad walked in. β€œLooking sharp, heart-breaker,” his father quipped as he adjusted the collar- which fit Johnny only a little loosely. Despite having the nickname for years, it still left an odd feeling in Johnny’s gut- especially coming from both of his parents. He never showed the unease regarding the nickname. After all, his parents were proud. What could be wrong with that?

β€œOh come on, dad,” Johnny huffed in amusement as his cheeks flushed a light red, β€œYou’re embarrassing me.”

β€œAin’t no one around except me and your mother.”

β€œYour mother and I,” Johnny corrected.

β€œAh! I see what you’re doing, kid,” Johnny’s father ran a hand through the taller boy’s hair, which brought a laugh from the young boy. β€œYou’re gonna fit right in with this school, just you wait! You’re smart and you’re fit. You’re gonna be a star just like your sisters!”

Johnny smiled at himself in the mirror. After final adjustments to his tie, Johnny wiped both hands down the uniform jacket and looked himself once over. When his gaze met his own eyes, he suddenly noticed that glazed look that was all-too-familiar. With a blink, the thousand-yard stare was gone, and his smile returned in full. His father had left the room well before then; he couldn’t have noticed it. At least... Johnny hoped his dad didn’t notice it.

He turned towards his bed. On it was an old messenger bag with whatever supplies he would need for the first day. In this case, a binder lightly filled with β€˜blank’ pages, a mechanical pencil, a container for extra graphite sticks, and an eraser. Also in the bag was a well-folded extra tee shirt, tank top, and light pants. It was light packing, so Johnny didn’t think he needed to use the duffel bag currently stored in the tiny closer connected to his room.

Johnny slipped the messenger bag over the uniform’s padded shoulder. He checked his wallet to find the transit pass he bought. It was good for a month’s-worth of usage, leaving Johnny all the time out of school to learn the transit system and figure out where everything is.

By the time he stepped out the door, he had forty-five minutes to kill before heading to Airdalen Academy. However, he did not want to waste any time. He was about to jog, but then he remembered he was in a fancy uniform. Johnny instead resorted to walking to the transit station. He produced his smartphone’s earbuds and popped them into his ears. Once he pressed play, he got the relaxing sound of the Blues filling his eardrums. The playlist he picked out primarily consisted of the Kings, BB and Albert. The slow-paced guitar gave him ample time to practice finger movements, though he focused more on replicating the sounds of the backing instruments. Music it was a deeply passionate hobby of his, as evidenced by the ukulele one would find in his closet.

The form of transit Johnny took was a very silent, multi-car tram reminiscent of the subways he took back when his family lived in the States. Also aboard were men and women who were all significantly shorter than the tall, lean foreign boy. Most everyone kept to themselves. No one talked to or even approached the conspicuous Johnny on account of the ear buds. The route Johnny was on was one that led straight to the downtown. Johnny did not stop downtown, however. He stopped much earlier, where the campus wall was within spitting distance of the station he disembarked on. This early in the morning, the crowd of much shorter people was not nearly as bad as it will be within half an hour.

Johnny did not dare stay and wait for that half-hour to pass. He descended the stairs from the elevated station platform within a few bounds while keeping to the right. He heard some words following him from some nearby strangers. Most of it sounded like gibberish to Johnny- a result of the combination of his infancy in learning the language and the music playing in his ears. However, one set of words did pierce the music that John did recognize as something along the lines of β€œSmooth moves.”

Johnny scratched the back of his head to avoid blushing at the stranger’s compliment as he glanced around to see if he could spot any others in a similar uniform to his own. He did spot several en-route to the campus entrance, so Johnny picked up the pace to follow. By the time anyone else would spot him, he’d be a few metres away from the campus gate.

Rhys instinctively threw his alarm clock out the window as soon as the beeper went off. "Crap... highschool is bound to suck." he mumbled under his breath and forcibly rolled himself out of bed onto the floor to make sure he was up for good. "Faaack." He rubbed his stinging eyes as he stayed sprawled out on the floor, glancing up at the ceiling. He had spent all day and night yesterday looking for new school shoes in his price range with the right fit. Shoe shopping was never pleasant for him with shoes being too narrow or too small. Almost made him wish he was still living with his mom so she could do the shoe shopping for him.
Rhys moved to Japan for a change of scenery and there was nothing more to it. He was starting a new life all on his own. An independent change of pace. It was close to a miracle that he managed to snag a spot at Airdalen Academy despite his bad grade record. He had no choice but to keep his scholarship going or haul his ass back home. No job he could get would be able to afford the tuition with the rent hard enough by itself and he didn't want to have to borrow money from the only friend in Japan he had. "A guy asking help from a girl.." The very thought was giving him a migraine.

He headed out the door with his school bag slung over his shoulder, adjusting his uncomfortable tie with a bit of uneasiness. He dreaded wearing uniforms of any kind but it was a standard he was going to live up to for his studies at Airdalen anyway. Shame he had no idea how to do up a tie or that clip-ons existed as his tie remained a knotted up mess dangling over his chest.
Conveniently, he lived a few blocks away from the school he signed up for so it was only a matter of minutes until he arrived at the crossing. From where he stood, he could already tell he had shown up earlier than he was supposed to. He could barely see anyone in the school grounds but he crossed the road, knowing he had nothing better to do anyway and attendance was going to matter for his scholarship. He didn't want to give the suited board any reason to kick him out after the luck he struck.

He turned his head in all directions looking for signs of life only spotting a few wandering teachers and just one student in particular other than himself (Shiori). "Well.. must be the place." he muttered under his breath and scratched the back of his neck not sure what to do now besides wait. He walked inside the school more, not really taking in the architecture or the plant life as his mind drifted. For his scholarship, he had to pick a spots club to join but which was the problem. He was confident in anything athletic. Heck, I'd captain it if I have to.. eh?

Rhys stood a bit away from the only other student present (Shiori) who sat at a bench engrossed with whatever she was up to with her notebook and pen. Considering they were the only ones there and time passes quicker with company, Rhys decided to join her as he dumped his bag on the ground and sat on the same bench with a reasonable gap in between. Even though he made the bold move to sit there as there were other benches available, he didn't speak and casually looked the other way as if he hadn't noticed her. Wouldn't know what to talk about anyway..
Soon enough, another student was approaching the campus (Johnny) and Rhys was admittedly relieved to see another guy. It'd be a bit of a pain if Airdalen's guy to girl ratio consisted of mostly girls.

The morning alarm rang inside a very empty bedroom. It was large with a sporadic touch of furniture and a simple design to give it a flair of personality. The owner is currently up and about as he stayed with his little brother, Hikaru, helping the young one with some summer homework. Hikaru could have done it with their aunt and cousins, but the little one wanted to do it with him. What else was he going to do about that, but agree. So technically, he was the one who toiled around with the written assignment and the art project while Hikaru fell asleep in the middle of it.

Ryou released a big sigh and looked at the sleeping Hikaru who he placed on the bed. "You better had nice dreams." He softly said as he pat Hikaru's head gently before leaving the room. His eyes directly went to the wall clock hanging in the hall and saw that it was just a few hours before sunrise. "No use sleeping. What better to do but have a morning jog. He returned to his room hearing his alarm clock which he turned off and then changed into his running gear.

He then slipped out of the house not wanting to wake up everyone else. Everyone could still use the few minutes of sleep, unlike him. This was actually an everyday routine for him, working out to keep himself fit and also to pump up some blood to his body in a sense. But, he might not be able to do some weights when he returns home, since he is a bit short on time. He'll just compensate for it after classes. Speaking of which, he could already feel that there are others joining him for a run. It's not his business really, but when it's all girls around his age and even some housewives running with him. They all want one thing. It's rather annoying and so, he did what he always does.

Run faster.

He did that once he heard one of the females getting his attention with a morning greeting with that overly cheerful voice and a tone suggesting not-so-innocent intentions. He blasted himself away, making it look like he never heard them as they tried to run after him. It was like a scene out of a comic book or cartoon, but it does happen in real life, his life. Anyway, he managed to finish his run a bit faster and he did make good sweat. Once he entered the house, he took off his shirt in which he heard someone whistling which was actually his Aunt. "Nice body as always, Ryou-kun! No wonder the females in our neighborhood are starting their fitness training by running with you. They want to have a body like yours definitely!" He really doesn't know how to take those cheerful words of hers, but he did accept the towel that was handed to him to wipe his sweat.

"Mom, those girls are not interested in getting fit. Believe me." There was another voice popping out, this time, it was his female cousin, Reisha who has an all-knowing smirk on her face. "Ryou-kun, don't just remove your shirt. We're all girls here." She said with a pointed look but a polite smile before disappearing to her room. "I wonder if Reisha is jealous of your body too, Ryou-kun. Anyway, don't mind her. You should go clean up. You have an early day at school, right?" Ryou nodded at that and went to his room. Honestly, he would never understand the thinking of women. They're much scarier than those criminals being reported on the news.

But his Aunt is right; he has to come at Airdalen at an earlier schedule because of some program. He wasn't keen on it, but it's needed to be done. He just hopes that it won't be a freshman who would do nothing but ogle at him and ask matters which is nobody's business. Taking a deep breath, he entered his bathroom to do his morning rituals. A few minutes passed, he was done and was now wearing his Airdalen Uniform. It was still loose on him, but got a bit shorter. This only meant he was still getting tall. He wondered where he got this growth spurt from, since typical Japanese people are not that tall to begin with. This is also one of the problems why he's just too easy to be noticed.

Shaking his head, he left that thought at that and exited his room. He was welcomed by the smell of breakfast where everyone was already there to start their day. His uncle reminded him to behave and he simply ended that conversation with him being done eating. He stood up and patted Hikaru's head and his other cousin, Trixie's as well who both bid him a safe trip. Really, he respects the man and is grateful for taking him and his little brother in, but, they just don't see on some things eye-to-eye. It's stressful, but nothing he couldn't manage.

He was then out of the house and began to travel to his school. If it was him, he would have preferred a public school. He knew well how expensive Airdalen is. It's true they have the money that their parents left them, but he didn't want to spend it lavishly. He does need to think of Hikaru's future, not just only his. But, it was his Uncle's orders, so he can't do anything about it. Another sigh came out of his lips as he now found himself waiting for a bus. The other passengers looked at him and he could feel it. There was also a few sounds of his pictures being taken by their phones. He could also hear some murmurs about him being a student at Airdalen. The uniform was a giveaway. That was fine as long as they don't do anything that can be labeled as intrusive and he was used to it. He just wonders when would this people get tired gawking at him, he was just a normal human boy, a bit tall, well taller than them all, but that's it.

This country was really different from where he was born and raised in, but, he have to get used it. Yeah, just get used to it. The bus finally arrived and he got in. After a few minutes, he was at Airdalen Academy. There were not much students as it would only be the Seniors and the Freshmen present for the program as he remembered. It was nice. He could use the peace, unlike the scenario every first day of classes for him. It was like being attacked by a mob. Shaking those thoughts away, he entered the gates while presenting his ID at the guard. The elderly man motioned to button up his uniform. He gave a nod and walked away. He was never the prim and proper kind, he wore his uniform casually. Anyway, he noticed instantly a tall guy (Johnny) just a few meters ahead of him. That was new to his eyes. He had never had someone almost tall as him. This must be a good sign.

His eyes moved away and saw another pair of students (Rhys and Shiori) at the benches. He remembers the girl (Shiori) as she often comes by at the store. He left it at that and took his position at the opposite side where there are other empty benches. Right now, he wanted to be alone. He took his seat and leaned there for a while. There was still time. He could take this for a few minutes of much needed sleep. He needed it and just like that, he let the warm yet cold breeze of spring lull him to a sleep as his eyes closed, hiding his silver-gray eyes for now. His breathing evened out. No one should bother him here, at the very least.

Silence filled the cool air. It wasn't the kind of silence that was completely devoid of noise, but rather human noise. Birds were quietly singing to themselves. The wind rustled the leaves of the many trees that were scattered about the shrine's housing. A small figure shifted under the bed sheets, seemingly moving closer towards the edges of the raised futon. Eventually the small figure fell out of her bed with a soft thud. "Owie." Soft green eyes searched the room for the clock that was bound to go off any minute now and there it was, on the other side of the futon. Mai looked closer and saw that she only had a about a minute to turn it off. She quickly got back into the futon and crawled as quickly as she could to the clock. The clock was only able to make a small ring before her hand slammed down on the snooze button and it's ring died off. Releasing a sigh of relief, Mai officially got up for the day.

The sounds of doors sliding open and closed could be heard throughout the house as everyone got up. Mai wasn't the only one who rose early but she knew a few who chose to sleep in despite it not being their best interest. One such person being her cousin Ren. She had slipped out of her nightgown and now wore a plain t-shirt, shorts and socks all of which was under the apron she wore to cook. Unlike many in the house Mai was one of the few who could cook. The small girl entered their kitchen and was soon joined by a few others, both male and female, to begin preparing breakfast. They were done within the hour of which Mai left before they had finished, she had been kicked out so she could prepare for her first day of school.

Despite ordering the smallest size possible, her uniform was still a bit loose but nothing a little tailoring couldn't fix. Mai looked at herself in the full length mirror. Her body only filled half of the mirror's length and she was reminded once again of her unbelievably short stature. A small pout laid itself on her near porcelain skin but she patted her cheeks and forced a smile, albeit a small one. Finally heading back to the kitchen Mai was bombarded by various smells. The others were quick to notice her presence and once again she was ushered out of the kitchen. Not knowing what else to do Mai sat down at their table. It was a pretty long table, enough to fit almost twenty people, but only half of it was used at any given time.

After a while Asakura approached her, "Do you think you could wake Ren up? He'll be leaving around the same time you do." He smiled at Mai who nodded in response to his request. Mai walked briskly down the halls until she got to Ren's room. She was always cautious of going to his room due to his behavior around her but this time Mai would be prepared. Swallowing the lump in her throat, Mai slide the door open, "R-Ren-s-san?" She heard movement and quickly stepped behind the screen just as a large figure leaped at where she had just stood. Ren crashed into the wall, grumbling under his breathe at having missed his chance to hug his cute little cousin. Mai bit her lip, averting her eyes from the much larger boy. "B-Breakf-fast is do-one." Ren glanced at her with those deep red eyes and chuckled. "Alright I'll be right there." He stood up and patted her head lightly before entering his room again.

Grateful that she managed to get out of the way, Mai felt a sense of triumph at avoiding the usually inevitable bear hug. Entering the dining room, she was surprised to see that breakfast had already been brought out. "Oh." She quickly bowed in apology at having made everyone wait for her and sat down to eat. As usual breakfast was pretty raucous with everyone talking over the other and laughter filling the house. Mai was happy she was able to stay here but she still missed eating breakfast with her parents. After everyone had eaten their fill the dishes were washed and Mai grabbed her things to head for the school.

She made sure to stop by her garden. Checking on all the plants she had bought to see if any of them needed tending to before she left. None of them needed it so Mai headed towards the shrine gate atop the stairs. Her cousin joined her as he too was heading back to the university. They walked in silence for the majority of time. Only breaking their silence to greet their neighbors. Mai was glad that the shrine wasn't too far from Airdalen Academy. It only took them about thirty minutes to reach the gates. "Alright Mai. Here is where I leave you. Do you have your lunch?" She presented it to him, "Have all the necessary paper work?" Mai looked through her bag and then nodded. "Good. Good. Oh you have your phone correct?" For a moment Mai looked surprised but after looking through her bag again she presented to him her phone. He had gotten it for her since she was still relatively new to the area. "Well alright then. Email me when your heading home and get home. Oh and Ccll me if you need me, okay? Make some new friends Mai." He patted her head before leaving for the University.

Mai was left alone at the gate a bit unsure of what to do. She was sure she looked out of place since a few people commented that it was nice to see a father walk their daughter to her first day of school. Ren, of course, was quick to correct them and now that she was here, Mai seriously hoped she didn't get that problem. Even though she was only at the gate, butterflies tumbled about her stomach and she squeezed her phone. The idea of calling her cousin to take her back home was very tempting but she needed to get over this personal hurdle called shyness. Stuffing her phone at the bottom of the bag, Mai peeked around the gate to see who had arrived. She spotted four people. A girl a bit taller than she was with pretty black hair (Shiori). A relatively tall boy who sat a distance from the aforementioned girl on the same bench as her. The boy looked a bit mean and maybe a little bored (Rhys). Another young, and very lean, fellow (Johnny) was there as well, having just arrived she assumed. Finally her eyes settled on a surprising familiar face (Ryou) and Mai's spirits were lifted, if just a small bit. At least she knew there was someone here she might know but whether he remember her or not she wasn't sure of in the least. Biting her lip, Mai cautiously entered the school grounds. Unsure of where to go at first, but finally settled on sitting on a bench across from the two students (Rhys & Shiori). Placing the bag next to her, Mai's feet dangled a couple of inches from the ground and she began to swing them back and forth to give her something to do.

Akira found herself ready for school about fifteen minutes earlier than required, so she decided to go out into her yard a shoot a few hoops before she made her way to school. She let out a deep breath, dribbling the ball a few times to get a good feel of it. To those around her, she was the Blake boy, the grandson of Miyuu-san. Her grandmother was an old woman who constantly complained about her health and put all of the workload on her 'grandson'. She was aware that Akira was a girl, but respected the wishes of her granddaughter for now. She didn't care so long as Akira married a wealthy man that could financially support them both in the end. Mrs. Miyuu was not a fan of work and used her age and health to her advantage, often exaggerating to make Akira feel guilty and responsible for her. Old bat woke me up way too early.. Akira thought to herself in an irritated manner and she took the shot, making it straight in the hoop and she ran over to retrieve the ball.

I have time for a few more.. She kept shooting, not even realizing that she was losing track of time. She got so into her shots that by the time she looked back at her phone, she was then running three minutes late. Crap! I played for sixteen minutes already? Guess I've got to run to catch the train now! She thought to herself with a sigh and took off without a second thought or goodbye. She made a beeline down the street, sprinting the entire way to the train station. She was catching her breath and gave her ticket to the man behind the booth, and zoomed off again when he returned it to her and cleared her to go through. She saw her train, the bell ringing, signaling for all of the last passengers to get on board and she went full force at the train, the doors shutting directly behind her without even a second to spare. W-wow... I need to set an alarm next time so I don't run late.. She thought to herself. She was panting rather hard, but couldn't help laughing. She got a few strange looks, a light blush forming on her cheeks. She forgot, Japan was a little strict compared to Britain.. She was expected to be a lot quieter and dignified... two things that definitely didn't define Akira.

"Kid, shut up. I'm trying to read the paper. Who would raise such a loud and obnoxious boy?" One man snapped at her. Shooting a harsh glare in her direction.

Akira's eyes fell to the floor of the train for a moment and she fell silent for a bit. She was a bit angry that he mentioned the terms of how she was 'raised', but she shot him a kind smile when she lifted her head, "My parents died a long time ago. Gomenasai. I won't do it again." She then bowed a bit, rubbing the back of her neck as she stood up straight. Sure, she wasn't exactly 'proper' about it, but she wasn't born and raised Japanese either. She was half Japanese, but she spent most of her life surrounded by the European half of her culture. She spent the rest of the train ride shifting back and forth from the heels to the toes of her sneakers in a rather bored fashion.

When the train stopped, Akira darted out, but since she was close to the door she didn't bump into anyone. After she made a clear exit she ran for about ten more minutes and finally made it to the gates of Airdalen Academy. She was given a strange look since she arrived on foot and not by a car, so she pointed to her boy's uniform, it was definitely the Airdalen Academy issued uniform, so the guards let her through without conflict. Once she stepped onto the ground, her blue eyes scanned the area. She was amazed. This campus was so big.. especially for a high school. She was walking slowly, especially since she wasn't sure where to go. She wasn't exactly academic so she mostly got here through by guessing on the entrance exam and her athletic ability.

She somehow managed to make it to what appeared to be the right place and noticed that there was a rather tall male sitting with a dark haired female (Shiori and Rhys), and directly across from them was a really short and adorable girl, sitting by herself (Mai). Akira took this as a sign, or perhaps she was just too drawn to the cuteness, but she approached without hesitation. Of course there were more benches and students, but she felt most comfortable approaching this girl first. Besides, despite being dressed as a guy, other guys still intimidated her just as much, if not more. She wasn't looking to mingle with them just yet if she could avoid it. She was fairly short for a 'boy' and did look a bit feminine, but it was the best way to avoid anyone ever realizing who she is. The Akira that put that British boy in the hospital had long hair and dressed feminine as hell. She immediately cut her hair right before her trip to Japan, and took on the role as a male ever since to avoid the questions and dirty looks. So far no one recognized her, especially since she looked different, though not a lot of people knew about the attack since it was in a different country. She was just a bit paranoid and didn't want to see the same person that hospitalized that boy every time she looked in the mirror.

"Mind if I sit with you? I'm new and fairly lost.." She laughed a bit, although not being raised in Japan, her mother made sure that she was well versed in Japanese. The language came out of her mouth almost like second nature, although her accent was definitely foreign. She couldn't quite shake it, not that she wanted to. It was the only thing she had left of her mother, "I'm Akira Blake, and I'm a junior this year.. What is your name?" She had a kind smile on her face the entire time, patiently waiting for Mai's answer.

The previous night had been a restless one for Vika. She tossed, turned, and fumbled in her bed waiting for the day to arrive. The minutes that passed by seemed like hours, and she found herself unable to sleep. When she finally found the ability to sleep, it wasn't enough. The soft rise and fall of her chest signaled that she was still asleep, her hand dangling off of the side of her bed. If she were awake, she would be able to feel the soft ripples of bundled clothes beneath her hand, however; she was a heavy sleeper. Any feeling she would have had in her bodyβ€”at allβ€”was gone. The soft knocks on her door fell on deaf ears, as did the sound of the creak it made when it opened.

"Gen-chan, go away," the coherent words were muttered in a soft, groggy voice. The sound of a hissing noise gurgled its way from her throat when the blinds were opened, and the sun was allowed to peak in. She could feel Gen sitting upon her bed, playing with the strands of her hair, and slowly opened one eye. Groggily, she continued to hold Gen's gaze, her eyes barely able to focus. "Give me five more minutes," she replied, pulling the sheets over her head as she rolled away from Gen. As excited as she was to attend school today, she was too comfortable to move. Underneath the covers was warm, comforting, and she didn't want to leave that comfort. Sleep, however, seemed to evade her now, and she let loose a dissatisfied groan. Gen did have a point; she didn't want to be late for her first day of school.

"Why must you be so cruel to me, my Gen-chan?" she complained, rolling out of bed and dragging her feet behind her. As she made to move past Gen, her foot caught in a pile of her clothes, and she took a decent tumble forward, barely managing to catch herself before she fell completely. Laughing nervously, she turned towards Gen and gave a mock bow. "Thank you for being such a great audience! But I must bid thee adieu. Until we meet again, moy lyubov," she replied, mimicking Gen in her native language. She then proceeded to dress herself for the day, moving along with the pace of a snail. Once she was properly dressed, she made it back to where Gen was, and grinned at her friend.

"It's the first day, moy Gen-chan. I'm missing you already!" she stated, lunging at her friend and draping her arms over her shoulders. It was an odd sight, truly. Vika was taller than Gen, and the sight would have left anyone else in a fit of laughter, however; Vika straightened herself out and released Gen. She pulled a rubber band from her pocket, and proceeded to tie her hair back. Once it was tied loosely, she twirled in her spot and grinned at her friend. "Shall we?" she stated, holding her arm out towards Gen for the younger girl to take. This was the first day of school, and it was exciting. Not only because she would be attending with Gen, but because it was an opportunity to meet new people. She wondered, briefly, if there would be anyone else she would recognize. A light chuckle and a shake of her head meant she doubted it.

But anything was possible, right?

A blonde was sleeping in the back seat of her Grandmother's car when it came to a complete stop just outside of Airdalen Academy. The elderly, but uncharacteristically energetic woman reach back and shook her granddaughter, "Arietta, Dear, you've got to wake up. We're at the Academy. It's time to go to school. You can't expect to sleep all day, Ari-chan." Mrs. Hakushiro teased, running her fragile fingers through the blonde hair of the young Freshman. It was so different compared to her own. Her grey hair was once jet black, similar to Mr. Hakushiro's. The blonde came from that side of the family. A frown formed on her face, but her thoughts were interrupted when the blonde finally came to. Arietta's blue eyes fluttered open and she sat up slowly. After a moment of adjusting to consciousness, she rubbed her eyes with a cheerful laugh as well. She didn't even realize that she had fallen asleep. The second year of my new start..? I'm a nobody here.. She thought to herself in an unenthusiastic manner. Given the circumstances of her abrupt move, she understood that this was necessary, but there wasn't much of a silver lining. She had to move halfway through her high school career, and now a Senior, she had nothing to show for herself at this school. She wasn't a geek, but she wasn't exactly prom queen here either.

Well.. bright side no one here knows about my.. habit.. She let out a soft sigh as she ran a hand through her hair, eyes lowering as she felt the absence of her pendant, and presence of the bow in her hair. Losing her pendant was the worst thing that happened to her. It was the only physical possession her grandparents managed to salvage of her mother's. She felt horrible that she let it get stolen the two years before. Realizing she had to get out of the car before she made herself late, Arietta spoke up quickly, "Arigatou, Baachan!" She chimed, sliding out of the car and closed the door quietly behind her. After exiting, she spun around on her heel, shooting her grandmother a charming smile. She had to reassure the woman that she would be okay, or else she'd follow Arietta through the gates and embarrass the living daylights out of her. Please just go home..

"I can walk home.. I've got my cellphone." She reassured her, wishing to get fresh air. It had been two years since the incident, but moving to a new school didn't change the fact it happened.

"Well, alright.. If you're sure. If anything happens, make sure to call me." Her grandmother seemed a bit skeptical, but hesitantly nodded in approval. She knew that she'd have to learn to let Arietta return to a normal life eventually, and decided to give her some breathing space. She waved to the blonde girl before driving off.

Once she was out of view, Arietta sighed, closing her eyes and gripping her school bag nervously. I wonder if I will be able to become popular before graduation.. She couldn't help but worry about it, because never threw parties at her old school, and despite being high up on the popularity scale there, she had to move schools because they found out about her grandfather's business. She couldn't stay there for risk of being used against him and paparazzi was harassing her. She was forced to move to a more secure and private school, Airdalen Academy. Sure my grandfather owns a multi-million dollar company, but I can't tell anyone so that really makes things tough.. Besides, the money...we never see it. He only brings in a little over a million US dollars a year.. It was strange, but she decided to not worry on it too much. She wasn't an expert when it came to distributing pay checks to an entire company. Maybe 1.3 Million was the remainder once he paid off his employees? Though it didn't seem logical. The company earned well over 200 million annually. Every major business bought into her grandfather's company, including Airdalen Academy. Every school computer was monitored by her Grandfather's program.

She kept a slow pace as she made her way to the designated spot. She was in no rush to meet her fellow students. She only had one or two friends, and she wasn't even sure if they were here yet. Arietta planned to divide and conquer this school, but a lot happened last year, except her becoming super popular. Though her grades were doing VERY well because of it, she would gladly make bad grades to make more friends. What will make me stand out? I can't just fade into the background. I want to be somebody here!

She let her icy blue eyes wandering loosely over the school grounds, until she realized just how grand the school truly was. Sugoi.. it's beautiful.. She thought in amazement. As she approached the spot where the students were told to wait at. She knew that the school grounds would be full of people, but just Seniors and Juniors and the faculty.

She noticed an open seat next to a guy who she presumed was sleeping. She knew it wasn't proper etiquette to sit there, but she saw everyone else in equal boy to girl pairs (Akira/Mai and Shiori/Rhys) and didn't want to interrupt them. She recognized Shiori, whom she wasn't very fond of, but the chibi girl (Mai) , short boy (Akira) , and the tall guy (Rhys) were more than likely Junior students, because she didn't know them at all. She sat down quietly at the opposite side of the bench, checking her Facebook on her phone to pass the time. She sent a few messages to her friends at her old school, hoping that the extra weight on the bench didn't disturb Ryou too much. Please don't wake up.. I just didn't want to sit alone.. I don't want to look like a creeper.. She recognized him from class, and she knew he didn't like to be bothered by girls. Not that she blamed him, he seemed to constantly have a swarm after him. She could understand why, Ryou was an attractive guy, but she felt bad for him. She understood what it was like, the paparazzi tried to eat her alive when they found out she was the granddaughter of Mr. Hakushiro. She shivered at the thought. Though she had to admit that she loved to watch others, to get a general idea of their character.. but some were a bit harder to understand than others, notably Ryou and Aeon. She noticed another guy approaching, but she didn't recognize him either. He was a brunette, kind of tall. At least, he seemed tall from a distance (Johnny). Another Junior? They were definitely overrunning the place at the moment.

Yuuki made it to school, but she was considerably far later than she had planned. She never realized just how much she relied on her parents up until now. She had to make her own breakfast, wash her own clothes, clean her own apartment top to bottom, study, and wash the dishes. She was a bit tired, but the coffee in her hands helped soothe that irritant. She approached and noticed several students, tilting her head a bit. There was a very tall brunette male (Johnny), an ebony haired sleeping male of similar size (Ryou), and a tall and long blondish-brownish haired male who seemed to be conversing with a girl slightly taller than herself who had long and beautiful ebony hair (Shiori). When she looked in the other direction she noticed a very small and cute ebony haired girl who was being addressed by a rather short and equally adorable ivory haired boy (boy).

At least I'm not the shortest.. She thought to herself, moving away from the crowd and located herself under a nice big tree, directly under the shade. She hated bright and sunny days, it always made reading difficult. The only thing worse than a sunny day was rainy days. Yuuki took careful note of her skirt before sitting down, smoothing it out against her legs with one hand and released it after taking a seat in the grass. She removed a bag from her shoulder, unzipping it afterwards only slip a math notebook out she'd received from cram school. She immediately began reading it's contents, doing the homework as she sat there. She wasn't here to make friends, she was here for the best education that her good grades could buy her. She couldn't afford to lose focus, because the only reason she was here was due to the scholarship her grades supplied her with. Friends were distractions, she learnt that the hard way a long time ago, and she wasn't looking to make any new ones.

She didn't want to go through losing them again, because she put her studies first and others couldn't seem to respect that. Everyone else always seemed to take school as a joke, but this was Japan, it was an eat or be eaten educational system, survival of the fittest. She was not going to be at the bottom of the food chain for the sake of maintaining a high school social life that would dissipate in about three more years.

Idiots.. They're wasting so much valuable time, and for what? She thought to herself, rolling her eyes as she moved on to the next math equation. She could hear a couple students that walked by mocking her, recognizing the booklet in her lap. She only overheard a few words; "Nerd", "Weirdo", etc. She was used to these labels, and merely shrugged them off. She couldn't let them hurt her, she had a promise to keep and the only opinions she had to honor was her mother's and father's. Sure, these words from random students did hurt, but she had to move on, or she'd never make her family's home life improve. Say what you want, when you're washing my car in ten years.. she added as a mental note, continuing to scribble down her answers. She flipped the first page, moving on to the next. Apparently she had more time than she thought. The spare time was at least letting her get ahead on her cram school assignments, which she was grateful for. She wanted to start on it last night, but she had too much to do at home. Perhaps this event taking so long to begin was a good thing after all.

At least no one has tried to come over here and 'vanquish the loner that is Yuuki Fujioka'. She thought to herself, golden eyes lifting for a split second to look at the crowd before returning to her work. At this rate, she'd be prepared for anything that Airdalen had in store for her as far as academics were concerned. Give it your best shot, Airdalen. I will even buy some weights if you try to fail me for gym class. She was very determined, and it was obvious by the look on her face. She was definitely consumed by the book she was working on and gave off a vibe of not wanting to be disturbed, though usually that's when people most often bothered her. Sure, she missed having friends, she was only human, but it was a luxury she couldn't afford right now, so she had to push people away, even if it meant being disinterested and mean to them. Besides, what were the chances that she would meet any of her classmates again after graduation? Friends always went different ways, so creating precious bonds would only cause emotional pain in the end for everyone involved. Making friends in school was a ludicrous idea when she came to think on the notion. She felt that pain first hand in middle school and she never wanted to experience it again if she didn't have to. Perhaps these students would be smart and respectful enough to read her body language and leave her the hell alone?

"It is yet another beginning, but whether it would change anything. I am not tempted to know or to care."

Eyes of gray blue were coldly narrowed into such a dangerous angle as the sound of wood colliding with another echoed with the giant hall resembling that of a dojo. It actually was and served as the training room for the infamous Sword Genius, Aeon Shirokami, but at this moment, he is donning the name Aeon Belrose to gain anonymity. He continued hacking at the practice dummy with his bokken. This has been his everyday morning ritual, a form of release and at the same time, it does provide him a considerable early workout. As the sweat cascaded down his body, he continued his sword strokes with such concentration. He was wearing a keikogi and hakama with his hair neatly tied in a ponytail.

It might be odd seeing someone of his features in a traditional Japanese garment, but he does look exceptionally good in it. The foreignness of his features complements the simple garb which fitted him without any errors. This also applied to his skillful handling of the bokken where a simple glint in his eyes dictated a horizontal slash as it hit the target at the same exact moment an alarm echoed throughout the room. He took a step back as the head of the wooden dummy rolled across the floor which indicated the strength he could manage with such precision. He ignored it as he approached a bench where a towel waited for him. His 2,000 slashing strikes had now been done on time. The alarm signified him not to to get engrossed in his practice as he does have other matters to attend to. He wiped the sweat from his face and body before grabbing a water bottle nearby to have a drink. Even then, it was elegantly done.

He exited the hall and returned to his room which was much larger than the previous one he was in. It was a given that he does live by himself and only allow his personal butler, Rando, to come during weekends to do chores. Other than that, he is alone and he was completely at ease by that notion. Here, he could be left in peace and without the eyes of those overbearing and annoying expectations being placed on him. It was more so as they coined him as a half-breed, a mongrel due to half of his ancestry being French. In reality, he could care less. However, he has his brother to think of and so; he will play his part in this grand scheme of things for now and bids his time as always.

For now, he entered his bathroom to take a shower and to prepare himself for the day. Airdalen had informed him beforehand that classes for them would start a day earlier due to a program being lunched in lieu of the incoming freshmen. He was of course involved in it and he has no objections. After a few minutes, he was out of his bathroom and was now donned with his uniform's white shirt and black pants. His platinum blonde hair was still wet as he uses the towel to dry it as he walked towards the couch, there was portion of his room presented as a living room in which he took a seat and opened his laptop. There were some mergers that he needed to review before sending it back to his father. They were only sent to him last night while he was sleeping. He had only known when he saw the notification on his phone when he woke up. His father never does give him a room to breathe, but he welcomes the challenge.

Other than that, he does still have some homework needed to be done. He had placed it at the bottom of his list for unlike the rest of the students who enjoyed their summer because of vacation. The summer days for him were rudimentary term for setting up business deals and learning the inner and outer workings of the various businesses they handle. He had been busier than ever since then and only has a partial of time to do it now. In any case, he began to read the documents on his laptop and began to type his notes at real time while taking a bite of his prepared meal, a sandwich and green tea. Soon enough, he was done with his business review and sent it back. If there was any other thing, his father would inform him one way or another.

Setting that aside, he grabbed hold of his school work and nonchalantly flipped through the pages. There was no need for him to read it as they were remembered perfectly by his brain whether he liked it or not. Opening his notebook, he began to finish the needed homework on time as his phone issued an alarm indicating that he should be preparing himself to leave for school.

Gathering his things on the table, Aeon rested himself for a while as he closed his eyes briefly and leisurely placed his hand on his cheek. There was a small sigh escaping his lips and he remained still for a while. Silence passed like that and soon enough, he opened his eyes and stood from his seat. He grabbed his things and went to his closet to grab his jacket. At that time, his hair was already dry as he placed final adjustments to his current appearance. There was nothing out of place as he then left his room and then exited the condominium where he lives in. His was located at the top floor and has its own personal elevator only used by him and his guests. He entered and after a while found himself at the building's lobby where the staff greeted him with such pleasantries while most of the female staff swooned at him with professionalism, if that was possible.

"Good morning, Belrose-san. Shall I prepare the car?" The manager approached him with such a wonderful smile and impeccable politeness. His eyes landed on the older male but, his face never betrayed anything as it maintained its cold and calm appearance. "Good morning, Kusaribe-san. No, I shall walk" The manager conceded without resistance. These have been normal occurrences as Aeon would at times like taking walks on his own. It was not much of a toil as the building itself was not far from Airdalen, a collective amount of 10 minutes is needed to arrive there. "Understood, please have a good day at school, Sir." He gave a nod as his answer before proceeding to the doors. There was still time and he liked watching the blooming cherry blossoms that he would walk alongside with.

Like so, he took his time while some of the people passing by could not help but notice him. His pale features contrasted with his Airdalen Uniform and even more so as the fluttering pink petals seemingly swirled around him, creating a rather angelic visage. Most would even dare concede that he might be a girl for such beauty, but his current apparel would dissuade such assumptions. As for the one catching everyone's attention, he was ignoring it either by will or not. His attention was divided by admiring the pink blossoms and his destination which he soon arrived in. The guard instantly recognized him, yet had a questionable look. It was probably due to him arriving by foot. He simply presented his ID as the guard greeted him with more respect than the others. Aeon just has that presence the naturally elicits such respect.

As he entered the grounds, he could see that there are already other students present. Today, the school was only opened for the Seniors and the incoming freshmen, or the so-called Juniors. This is all in relation for a special program. Thus, there were not much people here besides the staff and teachers. It was a welcomed peace as he would not have those people that one of his teachers had generously labeled as fans. His eyes scanned across the present students. There were faces he knew of like that of Kitogawa, Hakushiro, and Giou. Others? He does not know them which makes them the new students. In any case, he did not approach anyone and simply situated himself in one of the benches far from the others.

Aeon would like to enjoy the morning breeze and the cherry blossoms lining the benches on his own. And such, he gazed at them and somehow, his face had a slight change. It looked peaceful and one could really see why he had been called or described as an Angel at many points.

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

Bishop was dead asleep in bed. His chest rose and fell calmly as he snoozed in his bed, which would be interrupted by a blaring alarm suddenly going off. He groaned and rolled over smacking the snooze button and laid there for a second. Time would stand still until he suddenly jumped up in bed with a huge smile. "It's time for school!!" Normally he wasn't this thrilled to be at school, but this was the first day in an all new experience for the young teenager. He hopped out of bed and rushed out of his room to go get a shower. "Bishop~? It's good that you're up honey, breakfast is almost ready. Everyone is going to eat together on skype so make sure you have your uniform on. Your father wants to see it." His mother, Kimiko called up to him from the kitchen having heard her excited son bounce around upstairs. "Ok mom!" "What did we say about your Japanese?" Bishop sighed leaning out of the bathroom door now shirtless to shout down the stairs. "I can't get better if I never try." Japanese was his second language, he's been learning it since he was young but still had to fine tune some things here and there. He had a dictionary incase he ran into some words that he's never heard of before. But his reading and writing skills were proficient for a boy his age, the translations however simply slowed his progress down. He hopped in the shower liking his water extra hot as he washed himself. The young freshmen closed his eyes imagining himself swimming in a pool this warm, with the current song playing on the stereo. If he wasn't talking, Bishop was almost always listening to music of some kind.

Clean and refreshed Bishop walked from the bathroom to his room and eyed up his new uniform. "I can't beleive I'm going to a school that requires uniforms. That's kinda rare in the states." He began to get dressed pushing the button on his iPhone to change to the next song and smiled as his favorite band Coldplay began to play. He looked in the mirror as he got dressed the uniform fitting perfectly. In reality his father insisted on getting it a size bigger since they planned on him growing, fortunately his mother was skilled with a needle and didn't want her son to go to school wearing a baggy uniform. So it would appear as if he had a minor tailor job to his suit complimenting his physique in every fashionable way possible. <This is it! My first time going to a school for longer than a year. High school too! I wonder if I'll be popular.> He couldn't help but thing that as he grabbed his backpack, a very American styled backpack and headed down stairs. "Hey mom! What's for breakfast?" "Why don't you come down and see! I'm sure you can smell it." Bishop grinned from ear to ear thinking of his mom's amazing cooking. He dashed into the kitchen and dropped his backpack seeing the spread that was laid out. Without a word he moved to the dining table and sat down while his mother finished some last things. "Now don't worry about the dishes honey. You have more important things to worry about." She patted his head making the young blonde blush and nod.

"Hey there sport! Lookin snazzy! You excited for school?" Bishop had a piece of toast dangling from his mouth when he noticed the computer monitor set on the table. On it was his father, dressed in the blue, grey and black colored Navy fatigues. The man's chiseled features beamed back at his son, who took a sip of a coffee mug that read 'EOD, If I start running, try and keep up' and had a tray of food in front of him as well. Though it didn't look nearlt as appetizing as what was in front of Bishop. "Yeah! I'm stoked! But mostly hungry." He took a big bite of his eggs and reached for a few pieces of bacon then drank some orange juice. His father laughed and took a sip of his coffe and ate what looked like french toast.

"I see you're speaking in Japanese like you're suppose to as well. Good! You're never going to find a pretty, rich girlfriend if you can't woo her with your words." His father smirked happily, but Bishop couched nearly choking on his food. "D-Dad! Why do you keep saying that?" He blushed heavily feeling his ears get hot, as he lowered his fork for a moment looking at the computer screen. Ever since they got the news he was getting a scholarship to Airdalen they were talking about how they were so excited for him to meet a nice rich girl, to buy all their worries away. They were only half-joking of course. "Oh, don't you know sweetie? This is a private school you're going to. A lot of the elite apply for this academy and some even get denied. You're awful lucky." "Well I knew that! But... Why do you gotta make a big deal about it? Especially a rich girl?" "Or boy...." His mother added in quietly and sipped her milk as if nothing was said.. Alex grinned catching it, but their son was completely oblivious jsut chowing down. "We're you're parents son! we, just want what's best for you. Now go and eat your breakfast. Nobody wants you to be hungry again." Bishop nodded and continued to eat. His parents just watched in awe, with small smiles on their face seeing their young boy growing up to one day be a man.

When breakfast was over, Bishop and his mother said their goodbyes to Alex his father and went out to their small car to head to school. Coincidentally his houses wasn't very far away from Airdalen, it was a little over 7 blocks deffinitely within walking distance but biking would be preferred. "Music for the road? Bishop smiled and nodded. "Of course!" Kimiko turned on the radio and started to play some J-Pop music his mother dancing the drivers seat like a fool. <Oh no... What have I done.> This was part of the reason why he tended to study at his grandmother's house. His mom was a busy body, in the sense that she was always doing something whether it was work or something fun for herself. As they drove along, he listened to the music but tried to not make any eye contact with pedestrians and other drivers seeing the lovely purple haired woman dancing in the drivers seat and singing lyrics of songs unashamedly. It was finally time that they arrived at school, Kimiko pulling up directly in front of the gate having missed the impeccable prince's subtle entrance (Aeon)

"Alright, thanks mom!" his mother looked to him and smiled, reaching out to stroke his blonde hair. "I'm so proud of you honey! I'm so excited that you get to go to a wonderful school like this, and get to meet new friends. I'm sure you'll do great." Bishop blushed sheepishly and twiddled with his bag some. "T-Thanks mom. But I gotta go, don't want people to stare at me." She giggled to herself drawing her hand back. "Oh my, my young man is already too cool for her mother. I understand. Now go! And find a cute girl!" "MOM~!"

Bishop hopped out of his car and put both straps over his shoulders. He mentally prepared himself for the journey he was about to embark on and smiled confidently. There was a small fire in his eyes as he looked to the awaiting gate guard who had a knowing smirk of his own. He stepped forward only to freeze hearing his mom honk the car horn. "GOODBYE SWEETIE~! HAVE A GOOD FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL~ MOMMY LOVES YOU~!" His mother blew a kiss and giggled driving off seeing her son's reaction. She was very loud and was bound to grab at least someone's attention. Bishop froze in fear and turned a deep red. "S-She.... She did that on purpose!!" <Why!? Why me!? Why now!? That is NOT how you start being cool in high school! Ugh! I'm gonna kill her!> He turned around seeing the gate guard sling more and chuckling to himself. Bishop lowered his head and walked inside.

"Welcome to Airdalen. The guard politely commented and nodded knowingly. Bishop simply closed his eyes and waved politely somewhat forgetting his Japanese customs. He would turn to see the expanse of the campus and looked on int awe. "Sugoi...." He walked somewhat aimlessly around until he noticed that some people were already here. He had a wary eye seeing if people were staring at him. He looked very convincingly like a lost puppy, being a freshmen at his school and was all by himself now in the center of the courtyard. He looked around seeing a pretty blonde girl (Arietta). That struck a chord with Bishop, seeing blonde's in this country was rare and always something to talk about with his peers donning the vibrant gold locks. He would make a mental note of the girl and nodded to himself. He barely noticed a male who seemed less than conscious (Ryou) sitting next to the blonde girl which made him curious. There would be time to learn more about the people around him in the future. Turning around he noticed another boy-girl pair on a bench sitting together but not talking (Rhys and Shiori). He could get a decent idea of who was in what grade, but his ability to read people wasn't the best being somewhat socially inexperienced.

<Ok.... Don't linger too long. Don't want to look weird.> He spied the third group of people, which appeared to be a very short girl with blakc hair (Mai) talking to another boy (Akira). Not wanting to force himself into a conversation he decided to go off to the side and sat by himself in front of a tree on a bench. He never noticed that a dark haired girl (Yuuki) was behind him under the tree however. To pass the time Bishop pulled out a small speaker and synced it to his iPhone deciding to play a favorite song. He wasn't meaning to disturb anyone, he just wanted some nice relaxing music to start his day as he sat on the bench and minded his own business. As the soft harmonies of the string instruments, coupled with the sounds of a guitar played in everse and the piano Bishop bobbed his head with the music letting out a content sigh. <Music is always a good ice breaker! Maybe someone will like this band too.> He smiled to himself and leaned back against the bench looking up at the tree above him happily.

It was a wonderful morning as the Pink Princess took a large breath to let the scents of the blooming flowers fill her. "The gardens look very lively today. All of them are blooming so beautifully." She noted with such an adoring smile on her face and then looked at a bouncing pink ball or what could be describe a pink metallic ball by her side. "Don't you think so, Clio?". The odd object seemingly began to flap what could be described as ears in a rapid manner and then answering in its cute robotic voice. "Yes it does! Clio!". She lightly laughed at that response. "You are so cute, Clio. Volans should make more of you." She stated not in humor but as an excited fact. This Clio is actually a mechanical pet invented by his younger brother, Volans. It was a gift for her 16th birthday.

"Elle, the car is ready." She turned around to face her ever loyal guardian, Hotaru with a bright smile. "Okay!" She happily answered because she was really excited to be returning to school which was Airdalen. She looked back at Clio. "Let's go. I can't wait to see everyone." In response, Clio bounced but this time landing on Cassiopeia's open hands. She caught it and nodded happily. "Aye aye Captain!" Hotaru looked at the toy as she would describe it and shook her head. It was a simple robot which has a limited vocabulary, but can serve as a communication device or what anyone would call a phone.

"Elle, make sure Clio behaves." Cassiopeia nodded with assurance. "Of course! Clio is a good boy, aren't you?" Clio responded by flapping its wings and speaking. "Clio good boy!" Hotaru released a soft sigh. "All right, lets' go." She then led the way to the car waiting outside as Cassiopeia followed her. It didn't take that long before they were on the road. The Villa that Cassiopeia was staying in was a bit far from the Argyris, but the distance is not something that would be called a burden or hard. This wasn't viewed by Cassiopeia like that, instead, she just decided to wake up a bit early, so she won't be late.

This became a routine with her and she liked it. They do say that if you want or like something, then you must do everything you can. She's like that. She likes going to school and it was more fun than she had ever imagined. "I've heard you'll be participating in the Senior-Junior Program." Cassiopeia who was looking out the window suddenly looked at Hotaru. "Yup, I'm going to have a freshman partner. I'm really excited!" Hotaru smiled at the enthusiasm of her charge. It was a good thing, but she would also have to remind her. "That's good, but don't force yourself, you understand?" Cassiopeia looked at Hotaru warmly as she knew that her guardian was worried about her. "I won't." Hotaru wasn't thoroughly satisfied with it. "Okay, but I''ll ask Master Aeon to look out for you." Cassiopeia pouted a bit at that. She knew there are times she could be a handful but, it's not like she's a trouble magnet or something. "Why does it sound you don't trust me on my own?"

Hotaru sighed at this while shrugging her shoulder "I know you well enough. " Cassiopeia still had a pout before releasing a big sigh. "I understand..." The conversation between her and Hotaru stopped as the car also stopped as well. Cassiopeia looked out the window and saw the illustrious academy of Airdalen. Hotaru went out first as the door to his side was opened and she was escorted outside. "Thank you very much, Hotaru." The older girl smiled gently and then patted Cassiopeia's head. ""It's my pleasure. This was followed up by a series of It's my pleasure as Clio spoke who was now bouncing again beside Cassiopeia who can't help but laugh just a bit. Hotaru shook his head and then looked at the gates where the guard instantly noticed them and knew who they were.

She presented her ID and the guard happily greeted them. "Good morning Argyris-sama." Cassiopeia answered back as she appreciated the guard's happy energy. "Good morning, Hoshino-san." She said with a cheerful smile. The guard was obviously delighted as there was a very faint blush. Hotaru looked on at this scene. It was nothing new as her ward was a beauty and a head-turner at that because of her feature which is her pink hair. She coughed a bit to remind the guard she was still there as the security staff embarrassingly looked away. She then addressed Cassiopeia. "I'll be picking you up later. Have fun, but be safe always." Cassiopeia nodded in agreement. "See you later, Hotaru!"

Cassiopeia then entered the school grounds with an extra skip to her steps. The school was rather quiet than before which was understandable. The only ones present are the teacher, staff, seniors and the new incoming students. Well, she wasn't bothered by that, instead she was very excited to meet her freshman partner. She had a wonderful smile on her face as she looked around. She didn't notice the stares and looks going towards her way by the other students and some of the staff. It was not that easy to ignore her presence as she has a rather striking appearance both odd, yet incredibly beautiful on her. She was peculiar yet very nice to the eyes. It also adds to those who are well-acquainted with the who is who in the world of the upper echelons might have to deduce her background just by her looks which is a signature trait for a very prominent family who is both rich and powerful.

Anyway, she continued on that way while Clio bounced right beside her. She noticed new faces which should be the juniors and her other fellow seniors, but she was still looking for a very particular face and soon, her eyes landed on that person, she wanted to see the most. Her face lit up with joy as she approached the very angelic senior of Airdalen. "Good morning, Aeon!" She happily stood in front of Aeon with a beautiful smile on her face. "Good morning, Clio says!" Even Clio greeted as the pink ball flapped its ears in a fluttering speed. She then without much of a word embraced the male. "I missed you so much!" She said without reservation as she has a happy yet gentle smile on her face as she pulled away from him, not bothered by what she did. Why would she? It's normal to show affection to people she likes, isn't it? "How is your vacation?" She asked with those eyes of hers twinkling in anticipation, like a child about to receive a gift from Santa Claus.

Immediately, Shiori tensed up as a tall male with fairly pretty long brown-blond hair sat down beside her. She didn't recognize him, so he was obviously a Junior. Just because she didn't socialize often, didn't mean she wasn't aware of her classmates and their names. She cared about them and made a point to remember their names, she just couldn't express any of that to them in a healthy way. She was trembling just seconds before his arrival, and she was nervous that he might have noticed.

She took a moment to look at him when he turned his gaze the opposite way, blinking in curiosity. He sat here, only to ignore her? She tilted her head a bit at him, completely baffled by this boy's sense of logic. If he was shy, he would have had trouble approaching her. If he was hyperactive she would be looking for a way to plausibly escape this seating arrangement, and if he was creepy, wouldn't he have done something strange to her by now? Did he expect her to say something? Was he sitting here because she was quiet and just wanted to be left alone? She began to really overthink his actions and it was driving her a little crazy trying to decipher through all the possibilities on her own.

She turned her head away from the long haired junior (Rhys), completely confused by his choice to sit with her in silence. Suddenly the lack of noise was beginning to feel very awkward, so she did the best she could. Socializing was always her worst subject, but there were a few topics she could discuss without going on the rude defense, "Etto... the weather's really hot today.." She stated, looking up at the sky, shielding her eyes with one hand. The shade of blue was beautiful, and despite her home-body reputation, she did love warm days like this. Something about days like this one was nostalgic and brought her a small sense of peace. Perhaps it was because she met that boy on a day somewhat like this one?

"I'm Shiori Kitogawa." She added, not looking at Rhys directly, in fact, she was now staring at the ground, letting the toes of her shoes shuffle against the concrete to keep her mind off of the fact that she was talking to a complete stranger. So far she was doing alright, but she was definitely nervous. It wouldn't be long before something spurts out of her mouth to offend him. She was just postponing the inevitable. Sometimes she wasn't even sure why she even tried. Most people at this school hated her, the others simply tolerated or didn't care about her existence in the first place. Why did she try so hard to change? Then an image of that little blond boy she met as a child came back to her. The boy hugged her once when they first met, and she completely froze in panic. She knew there was probably still a picture of it somewhere, but she didn't personally have a copy of it. Ever since that day, she decided she wanted to be more like him, to be able to warmly embrace others and make friends so easily, to smile in that warm way, just like he did.

When she thought of him, she saw the colors one typically associated with summer, because that's exactly what his kindness felt like, the embrace of a warm summer's day. Her violet eyes shifted to the tall junior, and then back down to the ground, "You don't have to reply to me, I was just trying to be polite, that's all.." Her tone was a bit distant and definitely had a defensive edge to it. Her nerves finally got the best of her, and her body was going into protective mode. This was her own form of self preservation, of keeping her feelings protected from greater forms of pain at all times. Sure, loneliness hurt, but rejection from someone considered a cherished friend hurt way worse. She found that out at a very young age from her mother, but also because a friend betrayed her trust back in elementary school. She never wanted to feel that pain again.

Why did he sit here..? I want to ask, but I'm scared of the answer.. just like with Kazuhiko.. I'm always scared to ask people the more serious and intimate questions and end up making a fool out of myself instead. She was growing depressed with herself, so she busied herself. She put her pen and notebook in her bag, looking around at the students that came in since she began talking. T-That many!? She was immediately intimidated by the number of known and unknown faces surrounding. She knew that no one was watching her, but somehow she felt as though they were all spying on her, waiting for her to slip up.. She felt like everyone in the area was waiting to find a reason to judge her, even though common sense told her that no one here cared about her or what she was doing. Half of them didn't even know who she was, and the other half..well, we discussed the seniors earlier in this post. Why do I overreact to everything? Why can't I be like all of them and just act natural..? Why do I have to be so different..? I wish I could talk freely about anything, just like everyone else.. I hate being different.. Shiori thought to herself, nervous and angry fists tightening in her lap, sort of crinkling her skirt.

Yuuki wasn't bothered by the blond boy's (Bishop) nearby presence, that is, she didn't even notice him at first. She was far to consumed by the math problems and the sound of birds, to even notice the boy sitting down. All was well, until be began playing music. The abrupt disruption of sound startled the busy girl, causing the lead of her pencil to snap. Immediately she looked up with a glare. She took no time in snapping her book closed and standing up. She dusted off her skirt, walking around the bench to face him directly. Yuuki tilted her head at him, a look of disbelief on her face. Though her expression was not playful or curious, but instead she wore somewhat of a stern expression, "Do you often make a hobby out of playing music right next to strangers when they are trying to study..?" She asked with one quirked eyebrow, and one hand on her hip. She was not pleased with this behavior. Of course she could have simply moved to another spot, but that was not the point. She was there first, she was minding her business, and this boy inexcusably disturbed what little sense of peace she found among this chaos known as high school. She wanted answers and she wanted him to atone for his actions. She found that no one made repeat offenses whenever she addressed them directly. This boy was cute, but Yuuki wasn't concerned with stuff like that, her human attractions were the last thing on her mind right now, and she wasn't going to treat him differently just because he was physically attractive. She believed in fair play, and she was going to treat him as she would if anyone else had done the same thing, very, very, harshly. He was about to be on the receiving end of Yuuki's rage.

"I take my education very seriously, and I am trying to work on my cram school assignments. I cannot do that when that, whatever that was, is playing!" Her voice was stern, but she hesitated for a moment because she didn't know who Coldplay was. Well, to anyone who knew her that wouldn't have come as a surprise. Music, movies, she was very unfamiliar with the media. She only owned a computer for school work, and she did not own a TV at all in her small apartment. There was no music on her phone aside from the typical factory tones. She became a very boring person over the years, but still held the same temper, "What do you have to say about yourself?" She was speaking a bit fast, and definitely in Japanese. Little did she know, Bishop wasn't very savvy with the language to begin with, and speaking in her irritated and fast manner would only hinder him from understanding what she was saying even more.

She knew that if anyone decided to look over, it was obvious that there was an argument taking place, but she didn't know anyone here, so she didn't really care what they thought about her. Besides, perhaps others would avoid her and let her study in peace if they saw what happened to those who disturbed her. She wasn't going to let anyone get in the way of her making top marks, she had to be able to study without distraction.. how else would her father get better? She didn't even realize that her knuckles were white, because the hand that was once dangling the workbook at her side was now tightly clenching the spine of the book in irritation and desperation. No one understood her situation. She didn't have a lot of time, she had to be better, she had to be smarter. She was running out of time. She felt so helpless and this was the only thing she could do. This was the only way that she could be useful to her parents.. Her mother made her promise, and she intended to keep that promise if it damn near killed her doing so. She was skinny because she skipped meals, she was tired because she missed out on hours of sleep quite frequently, and she was irritated with this blond boy (Bishop), because of all the pressure that laid on her shoulders made her explode.

Before her father's illness, she probably would have just complimented the song, or she would have played one of her own.. Now, it was just another obstacle. He was just an obstacle between herself and her goals, "I... I don't have time for people. Please turn that down... or put these on. You're distracting me..." and she reach in her bag at this point, digging for a second before handing out a set of earphones. Her expression was serious as she extended them toward the boy. This was her personal lavender tinted pair that she used when studying on computers, but she'd loan them out if it meant a bit of peace and quiet. She felt a familiar knot in her stomach, but she knew this was for the best. It was easier for him to learn to hate her now. It was always more difficult if she was kind to them. Kindness only drew people in, she was purposely trying to shove these people out of her way. It still hurts.. I don't like being hated. I don't think I'll ever get used to this feeling.. I feel like throwing up..

β€œYour stubbornness in the mornings never ceases to amaze me dear~” Gen commented lightly, as her friend tried to shoo her away. She also knew better than to take those words to heart, carrying on until the girl would get out of her warm and cosy bed that held her captive for the moment. "Give me five more minutes," Gen’s fingers slipped away from Vika’s hair as the girl continued to be stubborn, hiding under sheets and rolling away to the other side. Gen didn’t mind it though. She was beginning to get used to this sort of routine in the mornings. β€œViii~” she put on a bit of a childish and whiny tone of voice, not giving up the fight. It appeared to be working at least a little bit as she heard Vi’s groan escape from under the covers. Gen would continue to pester her friend as she much preferred that they go to school together and on time not just for her sake, but for Vika’s as well. It was her first day at Airdalen and she wanted to be able to support her, even if by chance that the day gets too busy and pulls them apart. At the very least, Gen could accompany her in the morning and ease her transition should she perhaps be on the nervous side.

β€œViii~” she repeated till at long last, the girl gave in, "Why must you be so cruel to me, my Gen-chan?" Gen only chuckled in response, β€œSo you’ll get out of bed.. sleepyhead~” Before Gen could say anything further, Vika had tripped over her own mess of clothes thankfully not injuring herself. Still concerned, Gen turned to her friend as the girl started to laugh at the incident, reassuring her further that her friend was really alright. Gen however, didn’t expect the bow. "Thank you for being such a great audience! But I must bid thee adieu. Until we meet again, moy lyubov," Gen playfully got up and curtsied along, "Until we meet again tomorrow, and the morning after~"

As Vika took her time getting ready, Gen knew she had made the right call to disturb the girl's slumber. If she had left her on her own, there was always the chance she wouldn't have gotten up at all. Already Vika's pace was questionable if they would make it on time but again, Gen didn't mind. She was happy that she would be able to attend school with her friend. It was Vika's first day at Airdalen but also their first time attending a school together. It was all very exciting. Gen was accustomed to people's company, particularly as a performer whose job it is to please the audience. Even so, as it stands, she didn't have any particularly close friends to name besides Vika. Had they decided not to move together as well, who knows. Maybe they wouldn't be as close as they were today. Friendships are naturally built stronger once you learn the ins and outs of a person, something that comes even more naturally when you live with said friend and their habits and little quirks begin to grow on you.. Gen contemplated, with a delicate hand caressing her chin as she thought more. Despite her 'light and frothy' attitude, Gen was a thinker every other moment. It was just rarely did she ever speak what was well and truly on her mind. Just as easily as the thoughts came, they were just as easily shaken off to focus on the here and now rather than the what ifs.

"It's the first day, moy Gen-chan. I'm missing you already!" "Vi-" Before Gen could respond, she felt her friend's weight fall on her slightly at the sudden embrace. It was warm and comforting, another part of their friendship she appreciated. It always felt genuine without pretenses and she hoped things would stay that way. Without another word, Gen welcomed and returned the hug of the taller girl, not letting their obvious height differences bother her. The embrace ended and it was time to go. "Shall we?" "But of course, my dear~" Gen replied as she held onto her friend's offered arm.

The trip by bus was for the most part uneventful as Gen stared at the passing scenery outside with her head up in the clouds. It was to be her finishing year at high school and she was in a bit of disbelief. Time had flown by quickly and then, she would be heading for college. Hopefully, getting into the prestigious arts college closer to the city. Her grades didn't matter as much as it would for any other college as it relied on audition and performance more. It wouldn't hurt to have good grades though and failures along with repeats, were scrutinized as a possible show of lack of discipline and commitment. "By the way Vi, did you notice the spider in the bathroom?" she brought up, out of the blue.

They arrived at Airdalen Academy in a timely manner as the school was neither empty or all students accounted for. That much Gen could tell as she was still able to look past shoulders without her view being completely blocked by the crowds. "Welcome to Airdalen Academy, Vivi ma cherie~!" she exclaimed before excitedly tugging at the end of her friend's sleeve and maneuvering their way in. She managed to spot a few recognizable faces, being her fellow seniors but as she guessed not all were accounted for.
The cold and stoic Aeon, along with his pink-haired feminine companion (Cassiopeia) was a particular passing scene that caught Gen's eye as the girl embraced the man like it was an everyday thing between them. She found the pair adorable. Unknowing of their history or relationship, Gen couldn't help but mumble as they passed, "Ah young love, dear you must tell me if your eyes wander!" Gen's hands reached to clasp both of her friends' as one of her favourite topics arose. Her eyes glimmered as she eyed her beautiful friend. "I can see it now~ Vivi you'll be a hit with the lads you will." she dramatically let her hands fall and faked a convincing faint halfway before pulling herself together. Gen hadn't been involved romantically with anyone throughout all her years in highschool which was starting to hit her like a Shakespeare tragedy.

Johnny Farelli

The campus courtyard beyond the gate reminded Johnny of a similar courtyard for a hospital back home, where recovering patients and their guests- namely the teammates who got injured- bought snacks from a vendor set up near the entrance to one of the main buildings. The only difference was that the activity within the courtyard was neither slow, nor muted. It was energetic and intense as more and more kids moved in and claimed seats amongst the benches and patches of grass forming comfortable foundations to trees laden with a soft pink.

The first individual Johnny noticed was a boy who appeared the closest to the foreigner’s height, (Ryou) albeit the height was more like a length, spread out along one side of the bench. From a distance, Johnny could tell the other boy was fit- maybe along Johnny’s level. To see such a specimen sleeping meant either two things: The boy either woke up early, or was incredibly lazy. The sleeping dog’s (haha) build implied that the former was far more likely, and it was indeed a very respectable build. Johnny held respect for the guy, and he showed that respect by following the idiom about sleeping dogs.

The second individual Johnny noticed was a girl who was as polar an opposite as they could possibly be. (Mai) She was so goddamn tiny that it reminded Johnny of some old, very offensive midget jokes one of his uncles told last family reunion. Johnny was not sure how to feel about the tiny girl. Jokes were jokes and said nothing about the character of the subject, as that same uncle always said before making a shoddily constructed and racist quip about the Irish.

His eyes scanned over most everyone else until he realised that he was standing in the middle of the courtyard with no nearby seating. Johnny, as well as these students, remained out on the courtyard- awaiting… what? John knew not; His letter came with instructions to wait in the courtyard until an official came to greet him and the other students. He pulled his earbuds out to catch the sounds of a familiar European band. Johnny liked Coldplay as much as the next guy, but his heart was always for the old stuff his dad and extended family grew up with.

His eyes darted around to find the source of the music. Twenty feet away, on a bench near one of the pink trees, sat a blonde-haired boy with round eyes that appeared full of life. The boy held a very portable wireless speaker- obviously synced-up with his music player of choice. Johnny realised that he should have brought some speakers of his own… except he lacked room for it in his messenger bag due to the gym clothes and other basic supplies. Hopefully, once he got himself a locker, he can bring everything he wanted to bring at later days.

Johnny’s mind raced as he reviewed different greetings. There were three of them that his father told him about, and they all sounded entirely different. To be fair, however, phrases like β€œWhat’s up,” and β€œHello,” and β€œGreetings,” all sounded completely different in the perspective of someone less familiar with the English language. He finally remembered what his dad said was the proper greeting for a first-time greet, and was about to approach the blonde-haired boy. However, the girl on the other end of the bench (Yuuki) just began to chew out the blonde-haired boy.

Johnny blinked, and opted to avoid getting caught in an awkward situation only compounded by his rudimentary knowledge of the language. He figured that the girl was only annoyed at the music. He assumed it was out of taste, but he wasn’t offended by it. He thought Coldplay was alright. Crossing the potentially awkward encounter out of his options of things to do, The tall, lean, and muscular boy continued scanning the vicinity for someplace to sit. There was one last empty bench near the front doors to Building A.

With a few long strides, he closed the distance to the bench and lazily took a seat on the far right side of the bench. He slipped a hand into his messenger bag to once more make sure he had everything he needed. It was then that he remembered that he did, in fact, pack an English-to-Japanese dictionary. Though Johnny was not familiar with the grammar, he figured it would be best to at least understand the words. He pulled out the fist-sized pocketbook and began studying the contents. Words, pronunciations, and definitions filled his mind for a while.

Deep-down, he wanted to wait until he had a better grasp on the language before he began talking to people, not unlike his personal interests that not even his parents know about.

"WORK HARD
PLAY HARD
WORK HARD
PLAY HARD..."

Saburo's hand searched for the phone on his nightstand, shutting off the alarm. With a groan, he rolled out of bed. "I knew I'd regret that party." The day before, Saburo had went to a "end of summer" party. It sure was fun...but he got home pretty late. At least his dad wasn't in the house to lecture him. After a quick shower, he threw on his school uniform. Heading down the spiral staircase, the Freshman found a breakfast waiting for him. Which he shoveled down. His dad had gotten a nice maid, since he wasn't home all that much. Saburo was in charge, since he was the heir to the house. He was easy on the girl though, she did a good job. Besides, she didn't look half bad. Leaving the dirty plates, Saburo grabbed his backpack, but was interrupted by the ringing of his phone.

"Hello?"
"Hey what's up Saburo? Are you about to leave?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Thought I'd come pick you up. You wanted to see my new ride right? I'm right outside."
"Sweet, I'll be right out."

Saburo left his skateboard leaning against the wall as he left the house. A beautiful Audi was there to greet him. "Damn Tsuyoshi..."
"I know right? She's one hell of a car."

Tsuyoshi Hagiwara and Saburo had met each other through friends. Though Tsuyoshi was a couple years older, the two got along really well. Tsuyoshi was probably gonna end up being the baseball captain this year, since he was a senior and had a killer curve-ball. Nothing Saburo couldn't handle though. Saburo leaned into the passenger seat before the Audi revved back into the main street.

"Hey, when are you gonna be driving?"
"It's gonna be a few years. I'm just a freshman, remember?"
"Oh yeah...but I bet your dad would get you one nice ass car."
"I hope, I really want one of those Corvettes you know? Convertible. But dad's trippin' about getting my grades up, so he'll probably throw me a curve ball. Not one as good as yours though."
"Damn...a Corvette convertible? Shit...you'll make this thing look like a VW."

Saburo shrugged. "Maybe if your nice, I'll downgrade to a camero so you don't look too bad. I mean, I wouldn't want to make you look THAT bad. Not one of those wimpy V6 Cameros though. The two students shared a laugh. After the car was parked, the duo approached the guard posted at the gate. After showing their IDs and passing through, the Tsuyoshi led Saburo to the designated area where there were already plenty of other students waiting.

Saburo took a look around, taking in his surroundings. "See anyone you know?" The Senior craned his neck a bit. After a second, he shook his head.
"Not really. Well, I guess I know 'em, but I don't really hang out with any of them." Tsuyoshi spaced out for a moment before speaking again. "But I heard about that girl with the pink hair. She's pretty nice, and she's smart. So if you ever need homework help, go to her."

But Saburo was already being tutored by someone. Someone who caught his attention in the crowd. "You've got to be shitting me. Out of all the schools...Well, might as well say hi. I mean she looks alright, that's the main reason why I chose her over some super nerd with glasses."
"Hold on a sec, you know the girl over there? Next to the real tall dude." He pointed towards the other two to help Tsuyoshi find them.
"Oh yeah, I do. The girl's Arietta she's alright. Why?"
"She's my tutor. Dad made me get one after last year's report card." The senior's eyes widened a bit.
"Really? She doesn't look like the type...I mean, she doesn't look dumb...but...wow. Well, how's it going?" Saburo rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well...I don't know. I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm retarded though. I just don't study, that's all. Maybe I should start for real soon cuz dad said something about getting me an autographed ball from the LA Angels if I get my grades up. He knows someone who works with them.

There was a brief silence between the two. "I'ma go say hi real quick." With that, Saburo made his way towards his tutor. The blonde senior didn't look like she was occupied by anything. Strangely enough Arietta was sitting next to some dude that was asleep. "Hey" Saburo said as he got closer. "I didn't know you went here."

β•šβ•

It might have been a gazillion times this had been asked by a very annoyed Kazuki. "Who made it that school should start at the rising of the sun!? Dammnit!" He muttered very loudly as he clicked his tongue in irritation, but that is not really the problem here. Anyone who would come to parking lot inside one of the vehicles parked there would see the notorious or more plainly known as the Hellion, handcuffed to the steering wheel. "Why the hell does he have handcuffs in the first place!?" This remarkable handiwork is done by no one else, but the ever lovely uncle of his who is also actually, Airdalen's Mr. Hayashi, the Math Teacher.

Now, why was he like this It's because, he decided to sleep in and not attend this stupid program. He really planned on playing hooky, but his uncle miraculously did not have one of those forgetful spells and literally kidnapped him from his house on his bed. "This is an outright violation of my human rights! I'll sue his ass when I get out of here... Tch!" Other things to add to his irritable mood are his early attendance, being in a vehicle, and also it was his uncle who dressed him all up, so right now, he looked like one of those picture models for those high school promotional movies or something with slick-back hair. This was going to be bad for his rep. "I'm really going to enjoy cutting that old man to pieces..." He grumbled further as he fought his restraints and looked inside the car for a way to free himself.

"I swear that old man is a pervert or something..." He continued tugging on his handcuffs and in irritation, he kicked the floor of the car. That was then he heard a jingling sound. His golden eyes shimmered like a cat who had found a beautiful fish to pounce on. He managed to open the glove compartment and there he saw the keys to his handcuffs. It was a good thing that his uncle is forgetful. Things were certainly looking up for him. A grin was plastered on his face as he now thinks of ways on how to get it. He managed to grab hold of it by using his teeth and dropped it to his waiting fingers. "You can't keep me locked in, buddy..." He said with a very confident smile as he began unlocking his restraints. It did the trick as he stretched his limbs. He could feel the blood beginning to flow freely once more.

All of this was done so he would participate in this program. His uncle said that he would be returning to take him inside once everything is settled. There was no way in seven levels of hell and seas would he babysit some punk still looking for his or her mommy. There are better things worthy of his time than that. Anyway, he released a big sigh and commented. "This was not how I envisioned myself getting tied up. I was thinking along the lines of a beautiful dominatrix. Anyways, time to split!" He has that Cheshire grin on his face as he whistled a bit and was about ready to leave the car. He doesn't like staying inside of these contraptions as much as possible when his stomach gurgled in rebellion. "I didn't even have breakfast yet." He finally remembered as his wake-up call had been chaotic at the very least.

"Stupid uncle, I still have that leftover subway sandwich inside the fridge. Tch!" He punched the dashboard and then left the car while slamming the door behind him as it fell. He left me in a car that's falling apart... This is why I hate these cars." After doing that, he messed up his hair, returning it to its normal style. He popped open his jacket, loosened his tie and then rolled up his sleeves. That was then, his phone vibrated. It's a good thing he managed to grab that one. There was a message from one of the girls he had hit at the club, it's very suggestive. Then, if a literal light bulb could be seen on top of his head, there will be one. He had a wide grin on his face along with those feline eyes of his. It was rather intimidating like that of a devil, but a handsome and alluring one. It's good for him to be born with such good looks. "Got my ticket then." He went towards the main grounds where he could see that there were some people around. It was passing glance and he didn't really care about them. What good students they are, how boring.

Kazuki ignored them as he went to the gates. He was about to walk passed two girls, one with blue hair (Gen) and the other with orange hair (Vika). But, he didn't have time to confirm who they are since; he has one thing in mind, leave the premises when the guard noticed him. "Oi! Miyamoto! Stop right there!" The guard came out of his booth and began to walk towards him. He stopped momentarily and clicked his tongue. That good old for-nothing uncle of his probably warned the guard. "Shit!" He began to move again as he made his way to the gates, but there was another one waiting for him. They came in prepared and his uncle made sure they did. Why does he have to be serious at the most useless moments in his life? Why!? With that, he quickly made a roundabout to escape their clutches.

"Hayashi-sensei said not to let him escape! Catch him!" One of the guards said as they began to multiply like cockroaches and they were quite good. It's to be expected; after all they have to ensure the security of a very high-end school with very important students in attendance. He made the run while using the obstacles around him like the rails much like a tightrope and then jumped down with smirk on his face. "As if I'd let you catch me! Suckers!" He was able to make his way through the benches and stopped at one where two students (Shiori and Rhys) were presently sitting. "S'cuse me! Up and over!" Kazuki literally jumped over the bench where some of the guards halted. He then landed just a few inches in distance from another pair of students (Akira and Mai). Watch where you stand!" Then, he heard the guards were hot on his heels again. Well, see you later kiddos!"

Kazuki continued as they were still in pursuit as he looked over his shoulder. "Persistent bastards..." He muttered under his breath and then looked in front of him. There he noticed a very large tree where there were another pair of students (Yuuki and Bishop) arguing or more like being told off. "Get out of the way love birds!" He said as he grabbed at one of the branches and swung himself across, much like a gymnast. "Miyamoto! Get back here!" As if, he would do that. He continued his pace as he ran across another student (Johnny) on a bench. He was now on the other side and saw three students at one bench. His smile widened even further as he went towards the group.

"Hot stuff, coming through!" He announced as he pushed his way between another pair. (Saburo and Arietta) Then, he literally stepped on Ryou's foot to wake him up that should serve as a deterrent to the remaining guards coming after him. "When you snooze, you lose!" He shouted towards Ryou and then continued forward as he finally halted in his escape, actually, he tripped on something as he fell flat on his face. That was embarrassing. "Dammit! Who did that!?" He shouted angrily as he quickly went back on his feet. His face was rather red and bit bruised. Then, his eyes landed on the one responsible for his fall. His eyes narrowed in disdain. "And here I thought, the heavens had finally taken you back." There before him was Aeon and the lovely Cassiopeia.

That was when the guards finally caught up to him and grabbed him. "Finally caught you, Miyamoto!" The guard announced with a ragged breath. Kazuki glared at Aeon for being the reason of his so-called apprehension and then shrugged his shoulders as he didn't fight anymore. "Well you know what they say, peeps and pops, there's nothing like a good exercise to jet start your day." He said with his carefree casual way as the guards glared and sighed at this. Oh yeah, tell my uncle. Does he have insurance on his car?" He ended that with his infamous mischievous smile. It was after all a normal thing to be expected from someone like Kazuki Miyamoto.

"You mean the little fluff of black on the ceiling?" Vika replied when Gen spoke. She'd been too excited to react properly when they boarded the bus, and she had spent most of her time staring out the window. Her mind was reeling with possibilities that could occur during this school year, and every now and then, her eyes would flicker towards Gen. Would they still be friends after High School, when Gen left for college? The thought had momentarily caused a frown to mar her lips, but it was replaced by a smile soon after. She couldn't dwell on something so frivolous. Of course they would remain friends. Even if they were separated for an amount of time, not a day would go by that she wouldn't think of her friend.

"Nope, I didn't see it. He must have crawled down the sink by the time I went in," or was accidentally squished and she didn't know about it. A visible shiver went down her spine as she absently lifted her arm and checked for remains. Satisfied, she went back to staring out the window, watching the scenery pass by. Once they arrived at the school, Vika's eyes widened slightly in awe. It was beautiful, the grounds. The school itself was rather large in appearance, but also pristine. It seemed almost flawless, or perhaps it was the spur of the moment that made it seem ethereal. She continued to gaze at the school, glancing at the small crowd of students already forming, however; a tinge of familiarity hit her when she caught sight of pink hair.

She couldn't tell who it was, seeing as the pink-haired girl was currently embracing another; a male with blonde hair that she did not recognize. Maybe he was a senior? The scene was rather warm, in her opinion, and she smiled at the two. She was pulled from her stupor, though, when Gen spoke. She resisted the urge to giggle at her friend, and instead, played along. She stared at Gen, holding her gaze before finally speaking. "But you must know, moy Gen-chan! I only have eyes for you!" she stated, removing one of her hands from her friends grasp, and reaching up to gently touch Gen's cheek.

"With eyes as beautiful as the Dahlia's, how could I look elsewhere?" she continued, leaving her hand still on Gen's cheek a moment longer before removing it. She chuckled as she folded her free hand beneath her chin. "I don't know if I'll let my eyes wonder, moy Gen-chan. Relationships and I aren't built to last," she continued, being only half serious. Much like her friend, Vika hadn't experienced a relationship before, however; it didn't mean she didn't know what it was supposed to feel like. She did not have her friend's fairy tale view of them, but she didn't have a cynical view of it either.

She was much too young to be thinking of something like that to begin with. She needed to finish school, perhaps in college she could find the time for dates and the like. For now, she was content in being a teenager, being with her friends, and being herself. If the time came that she would have a relationship, then she would welcome it with open arms. "Don't worry moy Gen-chan. If, by chance, my eyes do wander, you would be the first to know," she reassured her friend with a gentle squeeze of the hand. She opened her mouth to say something more, however; she was abruptly cut off by someone shouting. She blinked in confusion as she turned towards the source, and noticed a guard following after another student.

"This will certainly be an interesting year, it seems," she stated with a short chuckle.

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

Bishop sat on his bench as content as could be. He had a tiny smile on his face, looking around and taking in his surroundings with a youthful awe. He felt lucky to be here, the school grounds were stunning and gave the presence of culture, sophistication and above all quality not just in the physical aspects but academic as well. He gently nodded his head from side to side as his bright golden hair shown in the early sunlight making him appear bright and cheery like the spring air. <Well.... It appears that no one noticed my mother's attempt of embarrassing me. This is an omen! If I persevere and do my best, I can over come any obstacle!> His smiled brightened and the freshmen clenched his right hand into a fist of determination that fire in his eyes coming alive again betraying his innocent appearance. He felt he could accomplish anything!

"Do you often make a hobby out of playing music right next to strangers when they are trying to study..?" Bishop visibly flinched now noticing a girl with purple hair and glasses (Yuuki) standing in front of him... And boy did she look upset. "Aahh umm... Eh-" "I take my education very seriously, and I am trying to work on my cram school assignments. I cannot do that when that, whatever that was, is playing!" Bishop was flabbergasted. Never in a million years that he thought his first 5 minutes on campus that the blonde wold be getting chewed out by a girl. To be honest she kind of reminded him of his aunt, how she lectured him. His eyes widened taking on the appearance of a puppy's looking up at her in shock, appearing to water up. "What do you have to say about yourself?" Bishop flinched again but never took his eyes off of this upset girl (Yuuki). "Uhh.. Y-You.. Don't like music?" He paused asking a question that seemed innocent and fine to him, although it was actually rhetorical. "I thought- that maybe some people would like something nice to listen to." What might be a surprise to other people, was his tone wasn't defensive or retaliatory in any manner of speaking. His words were laced with an American accent but it wasn't atrocious by any means despite how nervous he was. Bishop adjusted his posture and fixed his collar as a nervous tick diverting his eyes away from the girl (Yuuki) to spy and see if anyone else was watching them noticing a tall brown haired boy quickly turn away as if he was about to watch a train wreck- which is exactly what this was. <Oh my god! This is a disaster! How could this happen to me right when I was about to turn everything around! I'm gonna be ruined!> His mind reeled thinking of exaggerated circumstances where he was going to be made fun of for life because of this simple misunderstanding.

"I... I don't have time for people. Please turn that down... or put these on. You're distracting me..." Bishop blinked when the girl (Yuuki) spoke again and offered her a set of headphones. He looked at her hand then back up to Yuuki again and held his hands up. "Oh umm.. N-No thank you. I couldn't take something that's yours, especially something so personal. Hehe. He smiled sheepishly, yes he smiled at the girl (Yuuki). Despite being beat over the head for trying to make someone's day better. "I have my own headphoness. I'm sorry to have bothered you, I didn't know it would cause a problem." Bishop would first turn off the music then straighten up in his seat and bow in apology towards his violet haired heckler. When he came up there was a soft, gentle smile on his face as he closed his eyes. "I-I hope you won't hold this against me... I hate to make a bad first impression my first day here." He absently rubbed at the back of his head, gently ruffling the golden locks that swayed in the soft breeze. Bishop's thought process was largely anti-conflict. His mother gave him some advice as a kid when he was holding a grudge against a boy in elementary school. <Every person is having a struggle that no one else knows about. So be respectful.>

"Get out of the way love birds!" Bishop looked to see some guy (Kazuki) swinging on a bench flying past them. "Wah!" He flopped to the ground to avoid being hit. He sat up from his position to see that same person (Kazuki) sprinting around the courtyard avoiding the security guards like the plague. That was until he tripped by a a couple (Aeon & Cassiopia). He looked back up to Yuuki and rubbed the back of his head again a bit nervously. <I'm such a dork....>

The small girl had been humming the first theme song to Rangers Unite! to herself quietly. She looked pretty content with herself as she absentmindedly swung her legs back and forth. Although she knew it made her look even smaller, Mai enjoyed doing it since it gave her something to do. Mai was even swaying to the song as it played in her head but only if you paying close attention would you notice her movement. Every now and then Mai would look up to see if anyone else had arrived and by the looks of it someone did. A young man, or rather a pretty boy, had arrived. He was smaller than most of the men she has seen but he was certainly taller than she was. The fact that he wasn't that much taller than her made him seem less intimidating. I wish I was his height. Mai pouted inwardly hating the fact that she didn’t inherit her parents genes but rather her Oba-san, may she rest in peace. Had Mai watched the boy a little longer she would have seen him approaching her and could have prepared for a confrontation however those green orbs caught sight of a ladybug that was crawling on the edge of the bench to her right.

Mind if I sit with you? I'm new and fairly lost.." Mai jumped a bit as she wasn’t expecting to be spoken to. Instead of looking up right away, Mai hunched her shoulders slightly in hopes that this boy was talking to someone else. She noticed that he had an accent and the butterflies in her stomach got worse. In that little moment Mai really wished she was the ladybug right now. "I'm Akira Miyuu, and I'm a junior this year.. What is your name?" At this point Mai finally realized just how rude she was being.

Taking in a deep breathe, Mai finally looked up at the boy who had introduced himself as Akira. Green met aquamarine for a brief second before she diverted her eyes elsewhere. Placing her hands together on her lap, Mai fiddled with her thumbs as she made attempts to calm herself down to give him an answer. Why is such a pretty person talking to me? And he wants to sit next to me!? The young woman simply couldn’t wrap her mind around the idea. Mai dared to look at his face again and noticed the kind smile that was present, in a way seeing that smile put her at ease if just a little. Come on Mai! Just breathe and answer his question and you’ll be just fine. She bit the corner of her lip and fiddled with her thumbs a bit more before finally she spoke.

β€œH-Hell-o. U-um y-you –ma-ay, I do-don’t m-mind at a-all.” Closing her mouth she got the first half of what she wanted to say done with but her stutter was getting worse every second. β€œI-I’m M-Mai K-Kon a-a J-Junior, pl-pleased t-to ma-mak-e y-you-you’re a-aq-aquian-tance.” Releasing a sigh of relief, Mai visibly deflated and had stopped twiddling her thumbs. Mai looked around at her surroundings quickly and noticed a few more people had shown up. And it sounded like someone was playing music, she couldn’t quite name the band but it did sound familiar.

Straightening up, Mai looked to where the music was coming from and saw that normally sized boy (Bishop) had shown up who looked kind of nice. He had soft looking blonde hair and she could tell, even from a distance, that he might be a bit athletic. He looks happy. Watching him a little while longer resulted in her witnessing him being chewed out by a girl with glasses and short purple hair (Yuuki). A small smile appeared on her lips. Mai felt a little bad for the boy but she didn’t get much time to worry about him since there was one sitting next to him. β€œOh.” came quietly as she realized she might have looked like she was ignoring him. Quickly turning her attention back on Akira she bit her lip again and somehow ended up looking like she was going to cry. Okay you got this Mai. Just ask him something, anything. As she opened her mouth, a relatively tall boy (Kazuki) landed right in front of them.

His arrival had been so sudden that Mai jumped and made a small yelping sound of surprise. Watch where you stand!" Mai was still in utter shock, then again she probably wouldn’t’ have had the nerve to give a reply to him even if she wasn’t. β€œWell, see you later kiddos! All she could do really was watch him in silence as the young man ran off again with the guards right behind them. β€œEh?” Mai really was just confused. She seriously hoped that this wasn’t a common occurrence in her first day at a new school.

"Hey. I didn't know you went here."

Arietta's eyes shifted from her phone, to a familiar voice standing in front of her. She was completely taken by surprise, then remembered a very important detail. She never got around to asking Saburo what school he was transferring to!! She didn't remember to ask, because their sessions took place in summer, but now she finally made the mistake of choosing to tutor someone who went to her own school. This was going to be very dangerous to her reputation and she'd have to go about this in all the right ways or she'd totally ruin her reputation.

"Shh.." She stated, putting her index finger over her mouth. To anyone watching, she was considerately thinking of Ryou, who was sleeping nearby, but she was honestly just looking out for her own hide. Arietta began playing with her long blonde hair in a fidgety manner, nervous about being exposed to her classmates as a 'nerd'. She didn't want to be seen as her true self, she was afraid that no one would like the real her, because no one did at her last school, "Not so loud." Arietta chimed, laughing softly with a warm expression on her face. She was anxious, freaking out that someone would put the pieces together, but she had to keep her composure. She didn't want to be seen frantic. She took a small breath to compose her nerves before speaking again, "Would you mind if I asked you to keep the details of our arrangement a secret between us? I don't want to look like some kind of nerd." She informed Saburo, eyes shifting to those around them, then back to him. She pocketed her phone, and stood up to talk to him properly, dusting of her skirt after she was upright.

"Being seen with you is alright, but just don't tell anyone that I'm tutoring you. I don't want to be 'that' girl.." She whispered, careful to keep a low tone, just in case there were any eavesdroppers. Sure, Saburo didn't dress like the typical guys Arietta would hang out with, but she liked him as a person. He wasn't bad to look at, for a bit of a bad boy that is, and she was also getting paid to tutor him, so that was definitely a plus. She cared about her reputation a lot, and she was not about to throw it down the drain. Then she tilted her head, a bit confused. Why did he come over here? Was he just being nice, or did he have a question? She was completely clueless, so she pulled out her cell phone, "Though, when you need during school homework help, you can send me a text instead of asking it face to face. It's more discreet that way. Do you think you'll need my number?" She asked in a curious tone, innocently blinking as she held up a light pink phone, with music notes and a girly white bow on the front of it.

"Hot stuff, coming through!"

Arietta fell backwards when Kazuki tore through, her back hitting the bench she was sitting on a few minutes prior. Arietta landed on the ground in front of the bench, but her back up against the bench, probably a tad bruised, but nothing too seriously injured other than her pride, "Miyamoto-teme!" She hissed at him, obviously not amused by his current antics. She knew he didn't necessarily mean to make her fall, but now she was really embarrassed and didn't care if he knew she was angry with him or not. She looked like a fool sitting on the ground and getting knocked over in front of everyone, while in mid-conversation, that was totally humiliating.

"When you snooze, you lose!"

"You're the worst. He was sleeping!" Arietta called out, sticking her tongue out at Kazuki in disgust, her blood boiling. Kazuki definitely was not Arietta's favorite person, in fact, she borderline hated him. She didn't necessarily hate anyone, well, except for Shiori Kitogawa, but Kazuki was very close to pushing her boundaries as well. She was going to make him pay for this, especially since he made her fall right in front of Saburo and anyone else who just so happened to be watching. She wanted to rip his head off right about now, but she forced a calmer expression onto her face. She didn't want to be seen as grumpy or short tempered, there were a lot of new students and she definitely didn't want to make a bad impression like Kazuki.

She pushed herself to her feet, dusting herself off again, averting her eye contact, "Sorry about that... Miyamoto-san.. he's always making things difficult for everyone." Arietta mumbled, still a bit flustered from her embarrassing fall, but also irritated with the guy who caused it in the first place. Then she remembered that he tore in between them, and her eyes widened a bit. Did Saburo get hurt? She was so embarrassed and angry that she had nearly forgotten his well being. She felt bad, and decided to make sure that Saburo didn't get hurt either, "Are you alright, Inoue-san?" She asked, giving him a once over to make sure that he was alright, tilting her head in different directions to get a good look at him. Then her attention turned to Ryou, who got stepped on as well. She gave him an apologetic look, then bowed very quickly, "I'm so sorry, are you alright?" She asked with a curious expression on her face, though she knew he probably wouldn't realize why she was apologizing for something Kazuki did, she felt the need to do so anyway.

Arietta felt bad for sitting next to Ryou without asking for permission. If Saburo had seen her somewhere else, the maybe he and Ryou would have been spared from this incident. Miyamoto only had to go through this crowd because of me... If I didn't come over here, there wouldn't have been a crowd.. It's all my fault that everyone nearly got trampled just now..

"Uhh.. Y-You.. Don't like music?"

Yuuki's eyes widened at this question. It wasn't that she didn't like music, but music was simply a distraction, just like this boy. She wasn't sure how to answer this, so she went with the simplest one, the truth. She did not care about this boy's opinion of her, nor anyone else's for that matter, "Music is just another distraction from my studies. I haven't listened to music in several years. So, I guess you could say I don't like it."

"I thought- that maybe some people would like something nice to listen to."

"I'm sure some of the others enjoy it, but I don't." She replied back, realizing that he wasn't trying to actively irritate her with his music, he just seemed to do it naturally. His accent was also foreign, so he probably didn't realize the customs here.. So she let out a sigh and rubbed the back of her neck. How did she get stuck dealing with the disrespectful foreigner?

"Oh umm.. N-No thank you. I couldn't take something that's yours, especially something so personal."

"Okay," He refused the headphones, so she put them back in her bag, not even a bit insulted by his denial. She didn't see things like that, though she knew that a lot of people did. Headphones were just a means of listening to audio without disturbing others, she didn't understand how they qualified as a personal object. Everyone had a pair, it wasn't undergarments or clothing, nor were they one of a kind. This boy was simply strange, and she wasn't getting on the right foot with him at all.

"I have my own headphones. I'm sorry to have bothered you, I didn't know it would cause a problem."

Yuuki tilted her head as the blond boy bowed, a bit surprised, but also a little impressed. Despite being a foreigner, at least he knew how to properly apologize. She let out a sigh, seeing as this was a lot more irritation than she originally planned to put up with, but decided to hear him out since he seemed to be sorry and it would be more than a little rude to walk away after chewing him out. She did have respect for manners, "Be more mindful of your surroundings next time." She stated in a calm and indifferent tone, it was so robotically neutral.

"I-I hope you won't hold this against me... I hate to make a bad first impression my first day here."

"I don't have the time to hold grudges against people, so you have nothing to worry about. Just don't do it again, at least not around me." She replied in a flat tone, not really concerned with whether or not he was genuinely apologetic or not. She just wanted results. So long as the behavior did not repeat, she didn't care if he liked her or hated her. The end result would still be the same. Though she did feel something in her stomach, a knot of sorts, but she blamed it on her breakfast. Perhaps she didn't fully cook the eggs? She didn't recognize this feeling, but how could she? It had been years since she'd experienced guilt.

"Get out of the way love birds!"

Yuuki's eyes widened, and as the tall rampaging guy (Kazuki) grew closer. She instinctively withdrew herself from his range of reach, falling backwards on the ground afterwards. It wasn't the dark haired guy's fault (Kazuki), at least not physically. He didn't even touch Yuuki, but she landed on the ground anyhow. How you might ask? Well, Yuuki, being Yuuki, did not want to get close to the stranger, so she stumbled backwards and lost her footing, all just to avoid getting close to the wild hooligan (Kazuki) physically. She really did not like being close to other people, and chose to risk getting hurt instead.

"Wah!"

Her golden eyes landed on Bishop who also fell, but he seemed to jump out of the way, landing a bit more intentionally than she had. She noticed the expression on his face, and despite doing everything she could to hold it back, she ended up laughing. This guy was just...weird. She wasn't sure why, but after seeing his expression, the laugh came out without permission. They nearly got knocked out, yet he wasn't even mad? He didn't seem phased by that animal's behavior even a bit, while inside she was fuming. She wanted to chew out that other guy more than she did Bishop, yet the blond seemed to forgive the stranger almost immediately. She didn't understand this boy at all (Bishop).

What a strange person. When her laughter died down, Yuuki realized that she'd dropped her guard, and quickly stood. She bowed in a formal manner toward the blond's (Bishop) general direction then immediately returned to her spot under the tree without another word. She opened her book again with a nervous haste, going over math problems to keep her mind off of what just occurred. It had been over three years since one of her classmates managed to make her laugh, and she'd known that girl her entire life. Five minutes and this goof of a person had her almost in tear jerking laughter? Just who was this guy, and what was with this kind and strange behavior? He didn't even try to argue with her over the music, nor did he insult her. He was the same way when the black haired boy (Kazuki) zoomed through like a monkey swinging through branches after a banana.

Her pencil moved across the paper quickly, though her thoughts were definitely distracted. She was not getting the problems done nearly as fast as she would have liked. Distraction.. see..? People are just obstacles that are meant to deter us from our goals.. After a few minutes she was able to regain composure and work on her homework in peace, but her gaze did discreetly drift back to the blond once or twice before that. She didn't even realize it, but she still had a light blush across her cheeks. The pink shade adorned her cheeks ever since her eyes met Bishop's after they evaded an incident with that wild boy (Kazuki).
