Age: 28
Position: Duke of Jora
Personality:
When thinking of Albert the first thing that comes to mind is probably his appearance, since he is an unusually beautiful man, but the second thing that will come to mind is his quiet character. Some may even wonder if they ever have heard his voice. Not because Albert is mute but because he's unlikely to speak when not having anything to say. It may also be because of his enormous dislike for speaking in public, he's not comfortable in big crowds and will always pick a quiet night in his own room over any festivities. Albert truly is the opposite of his own father, the old man is loud and likes to be the center of attention, while Albert often hides away in a corner to listen to what other people talk to rather than talk to them himself. But at home, he's almost a completely different person, he's still a bit quiet but he's comfortable. He talks to the others, he laughs at times and doesn't have any problem with having everyone's attention at times.
Apperance:
Albert is the embodiment of the classic de Clare man, platinum blond hair, and icy gray eyes. It's something consistent, look at the many family portraits around the property and you will notice that they all look eerie alike. But surely you can notice a difference, especially when it comes du Albert and his own father. The previous Duke of Jora is weatherbeaten and burly. Albert is anything but that, he's tall, slender, and look extremely feminine. To his father's despair, Albert looks more like his mother than his father. Some have even described him as the mirror image of her. Albert himself is not sure since he never met her. Albert himself doesn't mind, he knows people treat him differently and also underestimate him at times because of his fair appearance but he has no reason to dislike that. He knows he's quite popular because of his appearance.

History:
As the only heir of Andrew de Clare, the title of Duke naturally fell upon Albert when his elderly father grew ill. It got worse over time, it started with just coughing and at times shortness of breath, it didn't seem so serious. But when his father turned 60 it got worse, the coughing seemed to never end and his father was constrained to his bed because of his breathing problem. So at age 26, Albert took over the estate. His father is still alive, but you rarely see him because he stays in bed, it happens at times that he gets up and walks around, but that mostly happens on days when it's warm and the air is dry.
But where is Alberts mother you ask? Dead and buried. Albert has never known or met his mother since she died giving birth to him. Tragically, she didn't have a chance to explore life since she was only 20 when she died. Now she lies underneath the oak tree with the rest of the de Clares in their own personal cemetery yard. At times Albert has gone there to look at her grave and wonder about what she was like. But as he grew older he stopped, because it seemed useless.
Perhaps you think that Albert should consider himself lucky because of the privileges that he was born into, but sadly, he hasn't considered this fact. The only thing he knows is that the staff he grew up with feels more like family to him than his own father. Albert rarely saw his father when he grew up, he rarely see him even now, because Albert isn't making an effort to go and see him. They are polite towards each other, and perhaps there are some feelings there, but mostly there is nothing. They treat each other as air when not being forced to socialize.
