Introduction
Nekos used to be a free, loving race; in some ways they still are. Well the humans slowly over time began to take them over, turning them into slaves. At first the Nekos did not mind and all was well and good but after awhile some began to realize what was happening and began to rebel against the humans. Sadly the Nekos were already a minority and quickly lost the fight...Now the Nekos are on the run trying to get away from the greedy humans.

Serina was sitting on the edge of a river bank on the small part so she could easy walk in and not drown. Her feet were dangling in the water letting them cool off from the nights run. The humidity of the night wasn't to bad with the small breeze and coolness of the river. She sighed and threw her head back soaking in the peacefulness of the night. The moon was still out so she had plenty of time to try and find a place to sleep for the day. She began humming a small melody that her mother used to sing to her when she was falling asleep.
Lance strutted towards where he had agreed to meet the rest of the group.... Despite his confident stride and the slight smirk on his lips, inwardly a small feeling of doubt and suspicion tugged at his emotions. What if this was all a set up? What if the Nekos were traitors? What if...? Realizing that these thoughts never got him anywhere, he tossed his head as if to shake the questions away.
Halting as he heard a humming, his ears swiveled around to pinpoint the noise, quieting his footsteps to sneak up on whoever it was. He did not intend to let whoever it was see him before he had seen them. Creeping forward, he crounched in the bushes and peered out. After spotting the Neko girl, he decided it was one of his new traveling companions and stood up, grinning and calling a hushed, but friendly 'Hallo' in her direction.

Evie was curled in the branches of a tree nearby the meeting point. she had fallen asleep while waiting for the others. Suddenly a small gust of wind blew a lone acorn from its attached piece and allowed it to fall and bounce on her head and closer to the forest floor. She jumped slightly and rubbed her head. She swung her legs over the branch and looked down seeing twon nekos, probably the ones she will be traveling with. She decided now was her time to introduce her self.
She Stood from the branch and delicately did a back flip from the branch and behind a bunch of bushes, landing on her feet eith no sound. She stood shaking leaves from her braid, and rubbing sleep from her eyes. She stepped forward and waved.'' Hello, it's nice to meet you. I'm Evie-Lynn, but you ca just call me Evie if you want.'' She said giving a winning smile and toss of her tail.

Darby was sleeping on her blaket higher up in the same tree that Evie was. When Evie jumped down from the tree it shaked the tree which woke Darby and caused her to fall from her branch. She hit the ground with a loud thud. "Owww that hurt!" she said as she rubbed her back. When she looked up she saw three nekos relizing that these were her new traveling companions she decided to introduce herself. "Hello my name is Darby I hope we can get along together" she said as she looked up "Darn it, my blanket is still way up in the tree can anyone help me please?"

Serina jumped at the sound of the whisper and turned around with wide eyes ready to flee. Then another voice sounded from behind her and she spun around again feeling cornered. Once she got a good look at the people who spoke she calmed down with obvious relief. "Nice way to scare a neko out of her skin." She said openly then instantly remembered she did not know them and grew shy. Her sholders rose as if to hide herself in a shell and she pushed her hair behind her ear.
"H-hello Evie, I'm Serina..." she turned to the boy, "Whats your name?" she shyly smiled at the girl who feel from the tree, "Are you ok?"

Evie watched as Darby fell to the ground and Serina turned around. She looked at Darby and then up in the tree where her blanket was.'' Give me a sec.'' She said and then began to climb up the tree, hoppinh from branch to branch. Finally she got close enough and grabbed the blaket and began her descent to the ground. She landed next to Darby and handed her the blanket.'' This it?'' She asked and the looked at the boy waiting for him to introduce himself.
Though Dian had begun walking through the woods nearly an hour ago, his slow pace and the fact that he was constantly getting distracted by little things held him back. He kept seeing small animals that caught his attention, or he would catch the reflection on a ring that someone lost. He'd just began walking again after picking up a discarded piece of jewelry, hoping he could possibly sell it to someone in a back alley some time... he needed all the money he could get.
The sound of voices startled Dian. He'd completely forgotten his purpose for going out into the woods- he was meant to meet up with some other nekos out here. He continued walking towards the voices, not speeding up his pace at all, until he saw them. A male and three females by the side of a river. He walked over by them and leaned against a tree, the smallest trace of a smile on his face. "Hey." He muttered, almost sounding uninterested in the others.

Serina's eyes widened again when Evie went up into the tree and retrieved the blanket with ease, she wished she could do things like that. She was to weak to even think of doing things like that, a russle came from the woods. She began to back away when a male neko walked out from the dark greeting us with uninterest.
"H-hello.." She said shyly returning the smile. "I'm Serina, who are you?"

"Oh thank you, thank you thank you!!" Darby said in joy as she grabed her blanket from Evie. She then folded the blanket up and put it in her bag. She looked around to the two male and two female nekos and said," Well its nice to see other nekos and like I said my name is Darby.. oww that fall really hurt" She begins to rub her back again."Well does anyone want to rub my back for me?" Darby says in a half joking manner.
Not too far away from where the other Nekos were, a pair of wide crimson eyes watched from amongst the bushes. Those eyes belonged to a thin, black-haired Neko. Haru. Though he wasn't really sure if that was his real name or not. It had been a while since anyone had called him it. Eight years to be exact. Well, as exact as he could be. With the result that he never used his name anymore. It was just another part of him that was pretty much meaningless to him.
These were the people he was supposed to meet? He had heard of them through his normal channels, but had never met them face to face. Then again, it was rare to see other Nekos nowadays anyway.
If he was supposed to be sticking with these people, he may as well start by showing himself. That would mean, as much as he disliked the prospect, that he'd need to come out of his hiding place and let them be near him.
His movements cautious, and making as little noise as possible, he crawled out from the bushes and made his way over to the group.

"I'm Lance." Lance stated in a friendly manner and offered his hand to Serina. "A pleasure to meet you all." His eyes flicked in the direction of the newest Neko, and he gave him an encouraging smile. This boy looked very shy.... He'd just have to bring him out of his shell, then.

Serina looked at Lance's hand as if it might bite her, but she took it anyway trying not to be scared. It surprised her at how many nekos showed up, she was not expecting so many to want to band together. She was overjoyed though that she could have so many friends after being on her own for so long. "I-its a pleasure to meet you as well..." Serina jumped again when she hear the soft sound of a whisper nearby again. "H-hello, and who might you be?" She said smiling, happy that she wouldn't be alone anymore.

Lance shook her hand gently, wondering at hoe shy a few of them seemed. He imagined that if he said 'boo,' really loud, a few of them would take off like rabbits. Oh, well. They were Nekos, and they were probably the best traveling companions he could find. No use complaining about it.
Noticing the girl's apparent shyness, Dian softened his expression. "My name is Dian." He said with a small yet sincere smile. He didn't, however, make any other polite gestures, such as shaking hands or greeting anyone else. With his hands hidden away in the pockets of his jacket, he stood up straight and took just one step to be closer to the gathered group.

"Hello Dian." Serina smiled softly, trying not to studder. "It's a pleasure to meet you all, I am so happy you all could make it" She gave a wide open smile for everyone to notice how thrilled she really was. "To be honest I didn't think anyone would show up...but as you can see we have a very good turn out. Where do you think we should start heading? East is were the city lies, so I'm not sure that would be a good idea...West is the mountains, around this time of year we shouldn't have a problem crossing them other then the wildlife...North is the wide river, we would need to get a boat in order to cross...and South is a thick forest.."
Looking around she waited to hear where they should head for tomorrow nights adventure. "As for the day though we should rest, there is plenty of bush and trees here to hide from any human."

Unsure around so many people, Haru had kept a slight distance from the others, near the base of a tree. That way, if he felt threatened, it would be easy enough to get away. He had found out over the years that he was an extremely good climber, better than even most Nekos.
One of the other males smiled at him, and a female asked him his name. He wasn't really sure if he wanted to answer her, but then another male introduced himself as 'Dian', so he figured he'd better do the same.
"...Haru...", he said finally, looking down at his feet as he spoke. Then he realised that the others might not know what he was talking about, so he lifted his head a little and elaborated slightly.
"...My name...It's Haru...", he continued, then started chewing on his bottom lip, something he did when he was nervous or scared. He was both right now.
