Adrien wasn't sure what he was doing, climbing a ladder to help Ruko. After all, with his luck the person guarding Ruko would have some kind of freaky insta-death power with a touch, or something crazy like that. No, instead of being dropped to his doom by a Control (which he could, at least, understand), he saw Ruko zap the rusty bolts on the top of the ladder. "Merde!" Adrien shouted, falling to the ground. Luckily the ladder fell away from him, but he landed awkwardly on his ankle. He heard a sickening snap and screamed again. Merde, I'm screwed, he thought, mind running between French and English from the sudden pain. He wasn't sure if he should be mad at Ruko or the Control, either, because of this. Who in the world destroyed the ladder their ally was climbing up? Did Ruko hate him that much? Adrien tried to remember if he had done anything against Ruko, but didn't think he had done anything that bad. Right?

"Vous Merde, qu'est-ce que pour a?!" Adrien shouted up at Ruko. He limped to a standing position, looking at his bag. My clock is probably broken... Luckily his sword and various weapons looked fine. Dropping his bag, Adrien grabbed the knives and daggers inside and worked on keeping himself upright. If that suit of armor came towards him, Adrien had no illusions about his abilities. He'd be run over like roadkill... And he really didn't want to die.

Perfect, just perfect. Now, not only did Will have to worry about being squashed by a giant suit of armor, it seemed that another of the Controls had ganged up on him as well. Not to mention the fact that Ruko was trapped and being held hostage, and that Adrien was now risking his life to go save her with nothing but a flimsy fencing sword on his back. Why can't my life be normal? he groaned inwardly, wincing slightly as he regenerated the carbon on his side. Just for one day? strengthening his grip on his sabers, Will took a new stance, with one blade pointed at each of his enemies. He couldn't be sure which one would attack first, and he needed to be as prepared as possible.

A frightful roar alerted Will to an incoming giant; the Control had changed stance as well, and was now bounding towards Will on four legs rather than two. Will was surprised by his adversary's speed, and was able to sidestep just in time, the man's momentum causing him to shoot past Will. Readying his blades, Will sprinted towards the second Control. She looked easier to beat than the metal monstrosity behind him, and the quicker he eliminated one opponent the better.

I wonder if he'll reach her or fall off. Maybe we should consider abandoning this fight, Miles was thinking as he looked up after Adrien. He heard footsteps nearing him and looking back down to see who was still around him. He didn't have a chance to move, however, from his surprise at the one girl who moved in close to him, jabbing his arm with something. "Serenity think she doesn't like you.." He blinked at her and was about to shove her away, when she--Serenity, she called herself--shoved the needle all the way to the bone hard. He hissed in pain and shut his eyes. When she let go and ran off, Miles felt himself in the ground, face-first with no relief from his hands to catch him.

Miles' forehead hit the ground, taking most of the pain. He saw stars for a good few minutes, which blocked out all the other sounds around him. "Your going to get your friend and leave. Because I won't let my comrades take him down before I do." Groaning, he sat back up and rubbed at his arm where the needle injected him. He winced from the pain. As he was standing, slapping the brunette-changing-blond's hand out of his face and using the wall behind him to keep his balance, a trickle of blood dripped between his eyes. "Oh, come on. Really?" he growled to himself, wiping it away with the sleeve of his shirt and frowning at the stain that was made from it.

For some reason, he felt drained in an odd sort of way. Almost as if he were being blocked from something--but it was hard to describe, even to himself. He shook his head and wearily looked around at the others' positions. Randle was still after Will. That brat who injected him with--with whatever she injected him with, he hoped it wasn't something deadly--was going towards the two. Adrien was still playing hero, also heading in their direction. Miles couldn't help but roll his eyes. Ruko was escaping the the other Control--that much was at least productive. And the brunette was...Oh, right, speaking. "You only have mere minutes to escape since they are distracted. If you attack any of my friends, the blond one will not be my only target got it?"

Miles blank-faced at the Control. "Are you giving me orders?" he asked with a hint of amusement. "The 'blond one', Adrien, will be coming with us." He wasn't sure why he was saying that, but he couldn't leave anyone behind. There was still the chance of their hideout being discovered through means of torturing a captured Nowhere. "We'll all be leaving together, thank you." He frowned and looked around for a good distraction. People were gathering around them, whispering and shouting and pointing. The police would show up soon, he knew, and they would bring them all back to the Lab; since the scientists are signed off as their current 'guardians.' "You'll listen to me, shifter. If you're so concerned about your friends, they will be in a lot of trouble and soon. The police will be here soon enough and nobody wants to see what they'll do to a rampaging metal-head, not to mention those involved with him. They have guns. His armor might be sealed tight--but I doubt it's that strong. And, well, if it is..." he trailed off for a moment, before shrugging. "It may just bounce off and hit your female friends. That wouldn't be good, would it?"

He paused and leaned on one foot. "We both want out of this situation. The sooner this happens, the better. Worry about your friends getting out before the police show up and I'll worry about my friends getting away from you people. Sound fair?" Miles raised an eyebrow. "We don't really have much time for debate."

Randle missed his target and landed awkwardly trying to change directions. As he re-orientated himself the green hair ran away again in a different direction. Randle, caught in his current fit of rage, had barely enough sense left in him to notice exactly who the nowhere was headed toward.

It appeared his prey had spotted Serenity and was now making a beeline for her.

Oh. No. He. Was. NOT.

Muscle shifted and there was a creaking of bones as Randle centered all his weight on his good leg. The leg in question started to bulged and pop as it increased in mass. With a herculean effort Randle catapulted himself off the ground with an explosive launch from his leg. He sailed high into the air, arching several feet above the ground as he sailed toward his target. He angled himself shoulder first, attempting to land on or in front of the nowhere with crushing force.

Serenity almost froze in her steps as the green-haired nowhere started running towards her with blades at ready.
Why everybody want to pick on Serenity.. she thought to herself coming to a halt as she tried to think about the situation and think quickly! The pressure surely reaching her head. Thankfully her clairvoyance acted up and gave her something to work with.
Friend or foe. Who will overcome the woes..
that are brought to come..?
A weaker form of diamond stands chance.
.. should you attempt your advance.
However being still is not the answer..

Serenity bit her lip and in a sudden motion let go of the weapon, finally yanked the dagger out of her arm knowing the bleeding at this rate, would only be increased and she'd need treatment as soon as possible. She threw the dagger aimed at the nowhere's face as a diversion for Randle's incoming and managed to just in time, catch the gun with her good arm before it scratched against the floor. Her penetration wound was as she thought, bleeding excessively but in every chase comes a price.
I have to move.. I have to.. Serenity dropped on her knees against her will. But I can't move.. more strain and I could.. bleed to death.. and..that terrifies me. A breeze passed so her blue hair brushed against her face as she awaited the outcome. The sleeve of her white cloak turning red absorbing the blood though she still had the mind to tuck the weapon back in the confines of her cloak.. her face turning pale with fright..even more so as she had never experienced such an injury and thought it was her end.

Time seemed to slow down as Will approached his target; the Control seemed to be frozen as well, as if she was caught up on what to do. When's she going to make her move? Will thought, preparing himself for the inevitable contact between them. She can't very well just stand there! The answer to his question came swiftly, in the form of a frontal projectile attack. Will quickly swatted the knife away with his sword, out of reflex more than anything. "Is that all you've got?" he called, crossing his swords in front of him to set the stage for a slicing attack.

His bravado faded as a large shadow loomed over him. Whipping around, Will barely had time to jump out of the way as a familiar suit of armor barreled towards him. Despite having tried to dodge, the attack was largely successful, with Will's arm getting caught by the blow. The armor shattered on impact, taking a little of the force, but the attack had been so powerful that Will was still sent flying backwards. Dammit! he thought, gripping his right shoulder as daggers of pain shot through his arm. First this arm gets dislocated, and now this? There's got to be at least a dozen fractures... Will sheathed his right sword; he couldn't use that arm anyway, so the blade would only be in the way. I've got to get out of this, he thought, gritting his teeth in a vain attempt to dull the pain. If I get anywhere close to either of the Controls, armor guy barges in and stops me. Time to play dirty, I guess.

Breathing deeply and gathering his mind, Will concentrated his carbon to the surface of his skin. God, my stomach isn't going to be thanking me later... With a final burst of thought, thick black smoke poured out from Will's body, quickly filling the street. Now that his opponents couldn't see him, Will mended his armor as well as he could and removed his shoes, slipping them quietly in his bag. Let's see Goliath beat me if he doesn't even know where I am!

Randle dislodged himself from the small 'crater' he had made in the ground. He raised himself back on all fours while his muscle mass reverted back to it's original shape. His target had been sent flying in the other direction. Good. That meant he could finish this before that little wretch could hurt Serenity again.

That was until the green hair had created a giant smoke screen that filed up almost the entire street. Randle growled, swinging his head left and right trying to catch sight of his prey. His visor did have a motion tracker in it, but it was a weak version, since nobody really thought someone would try to sneak up on the armored giant. Something had to be ether really big or really fast for it to register.

Slowly he edged back toward where Serenity was kneeling until he stood over her. Randle watched impatiently for any sign of attack.

Ruko listened to what this girl had to say. "First off...Don't ever call me 'little girl' again." Ruko rolled her eyes, not caring what this girl had to say, she would be killing her in the next couple minutes anyways. "Second...You should really try to help your friends instead of dropping them to their death." Ruko then thought to herself that yeah, maybe that was an ally on the ladder, then hearing Frenchie yell up at her. “He should have given a warning that he wasn’t coming up, his fault...” Ruko said watching the girl move water from a puddle into a sphere. Hmm, power is water, this could be fun.

Next thing Ruko knew, water was coming at her, and if it hit her, it would make her attacks weaker than they usually are, plus make them uncontrollable. She quickly sent a bolt, hitting the sphere in mid-air making mist all around the roof top. Ruko couldn’t see much through the mist, barely a couple feet around her to know where she was going. “So you like being a slave huh? What do you do for people, give them a glass of water when they want it, or maybe a bath or a shower?” Ruko said, messing with this girl, trying to get into her head. “Oh can you do a rain dance to make it rain also? You could be the next top weather girl.” She laughed as she talked, waiting for a reaction.

So you like being a slave huh? What do you do for people, give them a glass of water when they want it, or maybe a bath or a shower? Oh can you do a rain dance to make it rain also? You could be the next top weather girl. Analisa scowled at the mocking tone the Nowhere had taken on, her eyes narrowing as she stared at the last spot she'd seen the girl before the mist overtook her vision. Her voice is begining to get on my damn nerves.. Analisa thought to herself, placing her hands on her hips as she thought over the girls words. "At least I know what I'm doing. What are you and your runnaways gonna do? Wander around till you find somewhere you can hide? Then what? They'll find you. No matter how far you run. Look, we have pretty much all of you cornered now, not to mention you pratically gave us the french kid. Making him fall like that." Analisa paused, letting out a quiet laugh. "There's no loyalty in your group. Thats what will get you caught in the end. Even if we don't take you Nowhere's in now, we will soon enough." Analisa ended her rant then, silently making her way to the edge of the rooftop, peering over it.

She spotted Randle standing over a kneeling Serenity, though a frown came to her lips as her gaze caught sight of the now crimson stained cloak. Damn...we need to forget these foolish games and get Serenity some treatment..When can get the Nowhere's another time.. She thought to herself, running over several things in her mind, before turning her gaze back to the rooftop. "Well, as much fun as this is..I have more important things to worry about." Analisa called out to the Nowhere, as she looked down at the firescape below. Luckily for her, there was a landing about 5 feet down, then it wasn't that far to the ground below. Well...Better jump for it. Swinging herself over the edge, Analisa dropped down, landing easily on the small landing before looking towards the ground. "Ugh..Should have thought this out better." She muttered to herself, before jumping off the landing.

When she hit the ground, she winced a bit, pain shooting up through her right leg. She quickly shook this off though, making her way towards Serenity and Randle. "Srenity, we need to get you some help..You're bleeding a lot.." Analisa remarked quietly, kneeling beside the girl.

Serenity blinked back into reality after mindlessly drowning in her own fears. She looked up at Randle and then at Analisa as she spoke.
"Serenity, we need to get you some help..You're bleeding a lot.." As Analisa kneeled down beside her, Serenity felt tears stinging her eyes and not because of sadness or pain.. but joy. She looked down into her lap as a tear fell before she sniffed and ripped the end of her dress. She wrapped the torn material around her arm that had been bleeding and nodded as if to say she could carry on. Their support had given her strength to spare..

"We can't retreat because of Serenity, without a nowhere-- the scientists will deem us useless.." She looked up at Randle then back at Analisa.
"I've shot the blonde haired boy and the orange haired boy.. we should take them back with us to the labs and capture the rest later?" she suggested before nodding to herself thinking it was good enough. "Randle think you could do that?" she said tilting her head with a sweet smile.

Randle watched carefully as Analisa knelt next to Serenity, trying to keep an eye on them and the smoke could the green hair was hiding in.

Randle looked down at her and Analisa, then back to the smoke cloud, then down the street toward the yellow and orange haired nowheres. He was torn with indecisiveness for a moment. If he left Serenity here the green hair might attack her again. But if he didn't bring one of the nowheres back then mama would be disappointed. He let out a low groan as he tried to think. His normally raging mind wasn't use to this much thought. His eyes settled on Analisa and his mind slowly processed an idea. She could control water... right. Randle stomped over to a nearby fire hydrant and ripped it out of the side walk. A large fountain of pressurized water sprang up, flooding the side walk. He turned to Analisa and growled lowly. "Don't. Let. Her. Get. Hurt."

With that said Randle turned and thundered down the street toward his new prey. He'd be on them in seconds and ready too drag them away.

Analisa looked up as Randle ripped a fire hydrant out of the pavement, causing a large fountain of water to spew up from the ground. Her gaze dropped to the water forming a puddle around her. Don't. Let. Her. Get. Hurt. Randle's growled words pulled Analisa from her thoughts, causing her to blink a bit. "Don't worry Randle..Go get them." She replied, while she closed her eyes pulling the water up to form a barrier around Serenity, this keeping the injured girl protected from any attacks that would be directed towards her. Though doing this took a lot of concentration on Analisa's part, and even more energy. "Hey Randle...Hurry!" She yelled out to the armored giant, knowing he would hear her.

Analisa then looked back down to Serenity, giving her a slight smile. "Serenity, Randle will get the nowhere's then we'll get you all checked out." She told the girl, before focusing her attention back on keeping the water sheild around her friend? Could she call her a friend? Yes...Yes I can. She thought to herself, taking a deep breath.

Ruko walked around in the mist, waiting for the water girl. “At least I know what I'm doing. What are you and your runnaways gonna do? Wander around till you find somewhere you can hide? Then what? They'll find you. No matter how far you run. Look, we have pretty much all of you cornered now, not to mention you pratically gave us the french kid. Making him fall like that." Ruko listened to her voice, following it, and her quiet laugh. "There's no loyalty in your group. Thats what will get you caught in the end. Even if we don't take you Nowhere's in now, we will soon enough." “What is loyalty then? Being a slave to scientist that only use you for their benefit!?” Ruko shouted. As the mist cleared away, she saw the girl jump off the roof and run to her friend.

“Seeing them run off like that...” Ruko mumbled walking over to the fire escape and jumping down not even five feet to the stairs and hurrying down to Adrien. “Adrien, I’m sorry, but try to get out of here, I’ll deal with them.” Ruko kissed Adrien on his cheek helping him up and leaning him against a wall for balance. “Hurry...” Ruko said running out of the alleyway, trying to spot the others. “Crap, robot boy is going after hotie over there, then Will, where is he?” Ruko said to herself, as she looked over at the water girl and her friend, totally seeing her bleeding, and the robot put water everywhere to give her power. As Ruko look to the left she saw a truck speeding towards them, honking, hitting its breaks but because of the water kept sliding with speed right towards the experiments.

Those girls won’t survive that hit, even with the water shield, no... Ruko thought as she quickly charged for a second and sent bolts at the bottom of the truck, making it flip, barely right over the girls and on its side by the wall. The guy inside would survive, but paramedics and cops would be there soon. Ruko rushed over through the water, weakening her powers but whatever, she just need Miles out of there. “Hey, everyone out of here, cops and paramedics will be here soon. Unless you all want to get charged with destroying half the street and property, get out of here.” Ruko said, not even bringing up the saving part, and running over to Miles, with some person who looked like an Adrien clone. “Miles lets go, now.” Ruko said, then spotting the giant pretty close to them. Crap...

Will stood in the depths of his cloud and waited. Part of him screamed to take the advantage of the cover he had given himself and attack his adversary, while the other half insisted that it was too dangerous and that he should just wait the battle out. Maybe Miles or Ruko will be able to handle him, Will thought as he pondered over what to do. I've already taken too much damage as it is, any more could result in my capture, or worse.

Will quelled his thoughts as the familiar sound of metallic footsteps reached his ears. "Here we go," he murmured to himself, readying himself for the impending impact. Will waited and waited, but the collision never came. What the... Will listened more intently at the clanking; it wasn't coming towards him, it was moving away! "He's going for the others!" Will cried, his heart jumping into his throat at the revelation. He had to do something... but what? He only had one good arm, if he lost the other one, he would be virtually defenseless. He would have to stick with ranged attacks, but with only his left arm to use, Will's aim would likely be sub par. In addition to that, he couldn't create any more carbon; the hunger pangs from his past uses were already becoming apparent, and if he used any more material, there was no telling what would happen. I can't just let them get caught, though.

“Hey, everyone out of here, cops and paramedics will be here soon. Unless you all want to get charged with destroying half the street and property, get out of here.” Ruko said.

Is she bluffing? Will thought, removing one of the energy bars from its wrapper and wolfing it down. The situation out there must be pretty desperate. I have to hurry! He quickly sheathed his second saber in its sheath and rushed out of his smokescreen, rekindling active control of his carbon armor. "Look out!"he called, skidding in between the rest of the of the Nowheres and Randle, gathering his armor into two long spear-like extrusions and extending them towards their attacker.

Serenity's eyes widened at Randle then at Analisa. "Don't. Let. Her. Get. Hurt." "Don't worry Randle..Go get them." She lowered her head and smiled softly to herself even though she couldn't really understand the reasons behind their acts of kindness and concern. She could hear what sounded like flowing water and noticed the barrier being formed around her. She looked up again, placing her good hand on the barrier lightly and staring at Analisa on the other side. "Serenity, Randle will get the nowhere's then we'll get you all checked out." Serenity nodded slowly, her blue eyes shifting from where Randle ran off to, to Analisa and back again. I wish I could help more.. she thought feeling more like a burden at this point. She closed her eyes, her hand not leaving the barrier as she heard a nowhere say.
“Hey, everyone out of here, cops and paramedics will be here soon. Unless you all want to get charged with destroying half the street and property, get out of here.”
She shut her eyes with more focus trying to trigger her clairvoyance and when the vision was done, her blue eyes wandered over to the truck. "There's no problem if we get caught because the scientists will back us up as their own experiments.. they would get the blame and at all costs avoid that. Probably erase authorities' memories...but there is a problem if we continue until discovered.." she muttered to herself then blinked coming to a conclusion. "The plan still stands.. we get the nowheres if possible" she looked back to Analisa. "But we should also move the injured man out of that truck, he will be found unconscious.. the truck can get us away from here quick enough..and even if the nowheres follow, they would just be following us back to the labs.." She tilted her head, looking back at where Randle disappeared off to. "Look out!" Serenity watched with sharpened eyes. I need to shoot this one sometime.. she noted to herself.

Adrien swore as everything, more or less, fell into utter chaos. He stood there, frozen like the coward he really was, unable to do anything as Miles got (more or less) taken out. His powers just stopped working, which Adrien found surprising. That must have been the dart, he thought to himself. Great, I'm now completely and utterly useless. What the hell am I supposed to do now? Limp back to the base? Adrien felt his eyes go wide as Ruko told him he was, pretty much, on his own. Great, now my own 'teammates' are abandoning me. But no, he supposed it made sense. But damn, why did he have to be the one to have such a useless power? He was definitely going to be shouting at some people if he got dragged back to the labs... After all, who wanted a useless son?

"Miles, Will, Ruko, get out of here! Leave me behind, I can't do anything!" Adrien shouted. He found himself limping towards an alley, the opposite way of where the Nowheres would have to go to get back to the right spot. Adrien saw his bag lying on the ground near the truck, but he was not going back to get it. I have a sword and a few daggers, Adrien thought. Not much against something like the suit of armor, but if the others come I have a chance... A very, very small chance. Still, this was not how Adrien was planning on spending his freedom. After all, he had been doing pretty well before all this. Damn, why in the world do the bad things always happen to me? And why am I such a coward? I mean, I'm French, but that doesn't make me a coward... Well, apparently it did. Adrien leaned against another wall, feeling out of breath even though he had only limped a dozen or so yards. His leg was hurting, damn it, and he wasn't exactly experienced with stuff like this. Just get out of here, he thought as he looked at Will. Get yourselves out...

The ground thundered as Randle rushed the Nowheres. He paid no attention to what the brown haired one said, nor did he slow at all when the green haired on leaped in the way with twin spears raised and braced to meet his charge. The armored behemoth was unheeded by the possibility of a pike through his sternum.

However the yellow haired one made a limping dash into the alley and Randle's priority changed. The original plan was to have him capture the yellow haired one. And now that he was separated from the group the giant had a perfect chance to strike. He changed course at the last moment, vering away from the the green-hair's pikes and sprinting toward the fleeing yellow hair. Randle's arm flew out to his side, and without losing speed he grabbed the yellow haired one and roughly dragged him away.
