Tui is a mixed drink of exoticism, two parts Pacific Islander and one part European, completed with a slight dash of Eurasian, and it has resulted in the unconventional features of her face. Her face, ovular in shape and tinted bronze, depicting a fixed sun-kissed appearance, is sculpted by high cheekbones and a particularly broad forehead. Tui's sable-coloured hair, a dark brown that is visibly raven black until the light illuminates it, frames her face in cascading waves. While Tui's button nose and full lips do not so so, the almond shape of her nut brown eyes, the source of much of Tui's unspoken conversations, provides further evidence of her varied ethnic background.

At five foot, eight inches, weighing one hundred and forty-one pounds, Tui is not defined by the words "small" and "dainty" and is instead known by her above-average height and slender built. She does not participate in any form of laboring physical activity that would allow her muscle mass to increase, so while not weak, she lacks a heavy-set physicality. Not scrawny, nor curvaceous, her build is average at most. She tends to favor simple clothing, turning away lavish, post-modern styles, and she is often adorned with unornamented, comfortable, and form-fitting outfits. While she is not opposed to color, the clothing she wears are of muted colors and tones.

Lastly, it's important that one does not take offense of Tui's lack of expression, for it is this, coupled with her strong facial characteristics, that causes her to come off as frosty to some. Don't get her wrong- she cracks a smile or lets out a laugh here and there, sharing her happiness to those close to her, but it seems that vivaciousness is not her forte.

Despite an overall lack of conversational presence, a poor effort of participation on her behalf, Tui is almost always humming, whistling, or even singing out a tune. Rather than using her words to communicate, those who are close to her may read her pupils, as they dilate in accordance to her emotions. Though an unconscious reaction, Tui tends to cock her head inquisitively when curious. Perhaps an effect of the slight banshee blood within her, Tui can sense impending death.

FLIGHT | Tui has always had a remarkable aptitude for flying; where as some witches or wizards have a talent for it, Tui has honed her skills to the extent of being nearly acrobatic on the broom. It's not uncommon to find Tui revolving and rotating about her broom in an unusual manner, due to her natural comfort on the craft.
HERBOLOGY | Though her hobbies are few and far between, Tui has a penchant for herbology and distinct and oddly strong fondness for plants. Finding solace in caring for plants and fungi, rather than speaking with a friend, her attachment to vegetation is described as fanatic by some.
HEXES | While charms are an overall strong suit of hers, Tui's talent for hexes is particularly refined. It is the most obvious evidence in regards to her inclination towards dark magic.
APPARATION | Having saved Tui from sticky situations in the past, apparation has proved to be a particularily useful strength of hers. However, it is rarely used by Tui, as it is an inefficient transportation method to be used on the regular.
POTIONS | As it goes hand in hand with herbology as a practical usage of the said subject, Tui challenges her knowledge of herbs through brewing. Most of the time she is incredibly successful with her potions, but because it requires quite a but of trial and error, she is still in the process of learning.

DIVINATION | Because divination requires an open mind's eye and Tui's is decidedly closed, she lacks the will and skills to ever foresee the future.
ARITHMANCY | It was the class she despised the most during her days at Hogwarts and she's still decidedly terrible at it. The jargon of complex mathematical charts and their interpretations have never interested Tui, nor will they ever, she herself proclaims.
MENTAL HEALTH | This young witch isn't exactly at her psychological finest and the effects of her ill mental state have, and will continue to, influenced her decisions. When triggered, Tui becomes nearly unrecognizable in a rampant condition of rage. The most terrifying part about it, however, are the ear-piercing screams that emerge from her part-Banshee's mouth.
TRANSFIGURATION | Though initially she had enough talent to perform the basics of this magical branch, she was never able to cultivate it and allow it to grow. To this day she fails to perform even intermediate transfiguration.
SOCIAL INTERACTIONS | Overall, Tui has very poor social skills, her reserved state of being most likely being the root cause. One would never relate the words charismatic and astute to Tui.

The time Tui spends on her broomstick flying is the time she cherishes the most, finding the activity to be both comforting and freeing. That being said, it is not unnatural that Tui also favors being in elevated places and you'll either find her on her broomstick or atop some rooftop. If Tui is not at either of these places, then she is most likely within a greenhouse or a garden, caring for her plants. The quickest way to Tui's heart is to provide her with her favorite foods of tropical fruits. There is nothing Tui enjoys more, and it's another aspect of her liking for greenhouses, than the sensation of warmth and heat. Despite having not played the sport herself, Tui takes enjoyment in watching Quidditch. Lastly, Tui values the concepts of purpose and family more than anything else.

To Tui, one of the worst sensations is being held in a confined space, as small, enclosed places give her great anxiety. If possible, she avoids anything to do with numbers and mathematics, arithmancy being incredibly unpleasant. Given her nature, Tui hates being pressed to speak when she does not wish to and those to attempt to pry responses out of Tui will only meet dead silence. It's not that she hates muggles themselves, but it's a lack of knowledge regarding muggle culture that makes Tui turn away from the subject. The quickest way to get Tui is disapprove of another is when they show disrespect to nature- particularly plants. Lastly, Tui would hate it if she were to ever lose a sense of belonging.

Reserved | Aloof | Uncommunicative | Sensitive | Sentimental | Destructive | Unhinged

When you're one of few expressions and even fewer words, it's often difficult to be regarded as anything but a stoic and unforthcoming person. To most it becomes quite clear that Tui is the staple definition of reticent, as their attempts of chatting with Tui are met by her usual taciturn nature. However, it's advised not to be offended by her reserved mien, for it's not a lack of interest on Tui's part, but rather her inability to converse well that prevents her from speaking. An observer and a follower are the titles that best describe Tui's general roll, always keeping an eye on things and listening well to orders, but also always having a strong grasp of the situation. On the rare occasion that the Kiwi witch provides her two-cents, it will be on her own accord.

For someone who has such an inactive mouth, Tui has an overactive inner monologue. Constantly regarding, categorizing, and challenging in her mind, the young witch has spoken dozens of words to herself that she has never said allowed. One would be surprised to know that Tui is, in fact, a being of great empathy, cunning, and sentiment. The trick being to read her emotions and thoughts from her eyes, as well as interpreting what words she does speak well, close friends are able to unlock a lesser known side to the young girl. Eventually, if she feels comfortable enough, Tui will take it upon herself to share more of her thoughts, ideas, and feelings.

In spite of everything, its her instability that completes the second side to the dime of her personality. Just as there is a heads and a tails to any coin, one side being the favorable of the two, a disturbance may result in an undesired outcome. A strong enough trigger can send Tui over the edge, bringing to light some of her worst qualities: her tendency to feel possession to the extent of obsession, her twisted moralistic perceptive, and an obscure desire for justified retaliation. As a frequent to psychotic episodes, its best one covers their ears in the presence of one.

When a child grows up before they are meant to, losing their innocence and imagination to the premature exposure of the unforgiving world, it is one of the most wretched of tragedies. For Tui, her childhood was lost at the tender age of eight, all years prior being perhaps the happiest time of her young life, when the young pureblood encountered the ill-fate of becoming an orphan. As the story goes, no one really knew what happened to the Kiwi couple, the authorities speculating that they died due to affairs of dark magic and politics. However, the bodies were found shortly after their deaths. Passerby's were unable to ignore the god awful, ear-splitting screams of the nine-year old girl, a natural instinct on her behalf, as the trauma initiating the banshee response. When they stumbled upon the crime, they found the little girl covered in blood and wailing hysterically.

Tui, however, had to be told of these events, as she doesn't actually remember even the slightest detail of the crime. No matter how much the Aurors baggered or coaxed her, they found no such information that would allow them to progress their investigation. Whether her memory was withheld due to repression, or due to a powerful memory spell, Tui's experience with the event never carried into her thoughts. All she knew was that one moment she had a happy home with two loving parents, and the next she was without them, holding her little sisters hand as they fell through the cracks of the wizarding society. With no immediate family to go to, and no distant relatives that wanted Tui and her younger sister, they found themselves travelling Australia, being passed from household to household until they could find a family that would care for them.

It would be a year later until someone accepted Tui into their life as a guardian, but not for the reason that one might expect. The Fincham sisters had eventually ended up within a disreputable children's home, and it was there that a travelling apothecary with an equally unsavory reputation, would assume custody of Tui for little more than five or so galleons. The now nine year-old developed a distaste for the British apothecary almost instantaneously, the main reason being that he "would take the older, but not the pair," meaning that Tui ended up being separated from the last of her family. Though she did so kicking and screaming, she was ultimately powerless in that situation and to make matters worse, the apothecary relocated Tui to England in his shop. Mr. Murgus' Apothecary, a shop within central Knockturn Alley that carried often contraband ingredients, is where Tui was put to work under the notorious Mr. Murgus and his wife for years to come.

Though the couple were far from parents to the young girl, often claiming that they were doing enough for her by giving her a bed and food to eat while she worked at the store, they did come to send Tui to school. They stated that they would not have a magically inept witch in their midst, for they might as well have a disgusting muggle for an adoptee if that were the case. It was at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that Tui spend seven years of her life learning the ways and art of magic. While the sorted Gryffindor was an outcast, most finding her habits odd or her lack of conversational skills disinteresting, Tui was able to explore new sides of herself. She found escape in flying on her broomstick, coming to rest on the roof of the school, and caring for plants in the greenhouse to be particularly soothing. She took a little pride in her potions mark, though she was ahead of her class because of her days at the apothecary.

Tui's employment at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries was certainly the result of this. Admittedly, Tui had not picked the career because it was her passion, ultimately lacking the intense desire to care for others and ensure their wellbeing, but she chose it because brewing was something she was good at. Brewing healing potions was a trade that she could quickly pick up and the days at the aftercare wing she worked at were usually slow and undemanding. Tui didn't mind the additional requirements of changing bedsheets or responding to the demands of patients, and she enjoyed being able to work quietly. However, the slight constriction of her throat and a bitter heat that would scald the inside of her mouth as she tried to conceal her natural urge to wail at impending death, was one of the most unpleasant aspect of her job.

The first time Tui killed a man under the direction of the Unmentionables was, in fact, at the hospital. Her victim was a man under her care for months, a higher up from some unknown department of the Ministry of Magic that had the misfortune of being hit by a spell that rendered him half-dead. By the tightening of her throat and her desperate attempts to silence her desire to scream, Tui knew he was supposed to die and yet, the healers, hopeful and unrelenting, prolonged his death with spells in the hopes of curing him. He was pathetic. Had it not been for another patient there, a mysterious woman who managed to charm and befriend Tui during her weeks there, convincing Tui that she'd be doing the right thing by ending his misery, perhaps Tui would have not had the courage to do that right thing and slip the wrong dose of his potion into his mouth. When it was all said and done, the woman had told Tui that she was proud. "The world is full of defects, but we can change that, no matter how... unmentionable the methods. Would you like to fix the world, girl?"
