Description:
Charlie is kind of small. She stands at 5'4 and isn't thin, but she isn't anything else either. Her boyish figure is actually what gave her the nickname Charlie. She had rather messy red hair which she likes to keep down, and she had blue eyes which appear darker or lighter depending her outfit. Charlie is just starting to accept the fact that she has far too many freckles to count, but while she is still in denial, she does nothing to cover them up. Her style of dress is very innocent. Charlie does her best to not show too much skin and to find a way to be creative with all of her outfits.
Personality:
Charlie is really just a little girl in most people's eyes and this frustrates her beyond expression. She tries her best to be confident and mature, but often slips up and says something completely off topic or something far too innocent for a girl her age. There is really nothing wrong with who Charlotte is. She's very creative and often creates some of the prettiest works of art that one could possibly see outside of a book. She's a very kind girl, though sometimes her blunt nature betrays this fact. Charlie is a bit awkward at times, but that is only when she's trying to sound smarter then she is. She doesn't get the best grades because her attention span is long, but not honed to boring school work and old people talking. And because of this, she fears being stupid. After all, for a girl with her background, stupidity is a horrible curse.
Being an artist, Charlie finds beauty in everything. From a wilted flower to the girl who sits next to her in geometry. She tries her best to find the beauty inside of a person as well. However, upon first meeting Charlie, most people have mixed emotions. How could someone possibly dislike someone who is so eager to like them? Yet... how could someone like someone who is so honest about their flaws? Why she does this (by this, I am referring to her tendency to point out obvious flaws) is unknown to others. She believes that if someone's ugliness (Not physical ugliness of course) is obvious to others, maybe it'll go away.
History:
Charlie's parents were born into riches. Riches brought on by corrupt behaviour and falsery, but riches all the same. However, when the two got married, they where disowned by both of their families. Some say this only made them richer (For people did talk a lot in those days). After all, the two ex-socialites had married out of love instead of being forced into it. Unfortunately, love can't buy you money. Skill can, but they had none. Around a month after their marriage, Charlotte May was born. The family was living off of hardly any money is a small, one bedroom apartment, but they made it. Charlie's parents would tell her fair-tales every night and would never fail to say they loved her. This brought the two young adults much closer together. And when she was began to show artistic potential (and what potential it was), they would tell Charlie that she painted their boring old black-and-white marriage beautiful colours and so she had always been an artist in a way.
Luckily, this suburban fairy tale had a happy ending. When Charlie was eight, her father got a job working for a textile factory. And by the time she was old enough, her family had saved up enough money to give her great news. Her days of drawing beautiful pictures on old notebook paper where over. She could finally go to a school where she could hone her skills and maybe be great one day. It's hard for them financially, but in their eyes, it's worth it. And little (Yet not so little) Charlotte knows that even if she isn't great, she'll send nearly every penny she makes off to the people who have spent every penny on her.
