Jasper is level-headed and responsible. Unlike some of the other members, he thinks through his actions, rather than letting himself get caught up in the moment. This generally results in him making smart decisions most the time, and stopping a lot of the other members from making bad decisions. He is reliable, always being the one to show up on time and remembering the things others forget. Jasper also doesnāt really have a temper and doesnāt get rattled easily, he is pretty much always calm and relaxed. Despite being one of the youngest in the group he is also really mature, he blames it on hanging around with people so much older than him all the time.
Jasper is very friendly and easy-going. It doesnāt take much to ruffle his feathers and he pretty much can get anyone to like him. He has a down-to-earth charm to him, not ever having a big head or a large personality, making it hard not to like the guy. In a place with a lot of big personalities and decision making, Jasper often kind of acts like the glue around the place, being friends with all sides. Which helps that heās a smooth talker, he isnāt sly or sneaky, heā is just good at getting people to see things his way. Which is why when someone in the gang gets in trouble it falls to Jasper to talk their way out of trouble.
Jasper prefers to follow, he could think of nothing worse than having to lead or take charge. He just likes to sit back and take his orders as they come. To a leader he respects he will do whatever his asked of without hesitation, and will always be very loyal to. However Jasperās respect is a hard thing to earn. He also holds on to grudges, once heās loyalty or trust is betrayed he doesnāt forgive or forget, and you will not be on the receiving end of his loyalty again.
Jasperās father was one on the founding members and original treasurer for the club. Jasper got his even temper and sense of responsibility from his father, who used to always be keeping the gang out of trouble. Back then Jasperās mum had been a drug addict. Jasparās dad, Roy, had loved his mum but her addiction split them up before Jasper was even born. Jasper spent most of his younger years with his father as his mother was dealing with her addiction, meaning he spent most his younger years at club. There werenāt a great many kids around, as it was a motorcycle club, not a day-care. A few of the other core membersā kids used to hang around though, so Jasper always ending up tagging along with the older kids. Which is why he is so close to a lot of the older legacies in the club.
By the time Jasper was into his teenage years, his mum had cleaned herself up, and stopped using for good. Which meant he got to spend a lot more time with her. Though without the drugs she got really into spirituality and has become an extreme pacifist. Which is why her and Jasper will enver see eye to eye. Jasper still visits her once a week but she is completely against any involvement he has with the club. Whilst he appreciates having her around, he doesnāt believe she has any right to give advice on his life, she was pretty absent during his early life.
Jasper was never one for classroom learning. He always like doing things with his hands, building fences, messing around with car engines, those are the things he is naturally good at. Though he whole bad grades things may have also been due to lack of effort. Jasper pretty much had stopped going to school all together by his 17th birthday, and was spending all his time at the club. Eventually just dropping out altogether.
By the time Jasper was 18 he was a full member of the club. Other than his father, the club was his family, and Jasper just never had any thoughts of doing anything else, or going anywhere else. A few months after becoming a full member though his father was shot in a gang related incident. It wasnāt a big thing, but due to his fatherās already poor health, he died a week or so later in hospital. Jasper has never blamed the club for his fatherās death, everyone knew the risks with getting involved. Plus they were his family, and the ones that were there for him when his father died. Heād never go anywhere else.
