Introduction

On the continent of Taus lies two kingdoms, Jatural (The Human Kingdom) and Gr'lun (The Beast Kingdom).

In Jatural are the advanced humans, often prefering technology and strength over magic. They seek new recources and more land to take as their own. These are the people who have started this war. The major cities in Jatural are Gation (the capital), Yor, Ert, and WyMarch.

In Gr'lun are the beast people. These people are kindred and peaceful, respecting both land and others. The recent wars however have made many beastmen violent. They wield magic and skill over technologies that ruin their sacred lands. There is little mining in Gr'lun as most weapons are made from the bark and leaves of the iron trees. The major cities in Gr'lun are Fuh'Nor (the capital), Ru'Yem, Bire, and Ec'xum.

R'Nieth Volger was carved into the fabric of his cloak, that had a hoddie attached to it. It served as conceilment to his face, known to most as his most defining feature. He wore a mighty armour that matched his green hoodie, the amrour was made from a the most rare of materials. He would wear that armour till he died, along with his sword, Tinfurs Atlas. Volger was carved into the hilt of his blade, Tinfurs Atlas, along with the family emblem. A large snake strangeling a mighty troll, the troll carved in shadow sillouette format, with snake in green and black detail covering the troll. This same symbol was carved into the center pice of his wrap-around shoulder gaurd that also served as his sheath for his sword. Atlas was, and has been ever since my father died in war, the only companion I have had. I very much wish to meet the person who could oppose Atlas, and not end up dead or severly injured. I never, even inthe stories my bretheren have told me, have heard of Atlas being wielded by previous owners whom died in battle whilst wielding him. Atlas is my only companion. Atlas and the mutiple pairs of daggers I own, and wield.

R'Nieth checked all his equipment, ready to leave from the cave he was held up in. He set up camp there for the night. Although he always walked alone, he had his bretheren to keep him company. He tends to sense them coming from a mile off, headin in his direction as he lets off his wave of aura communications singals, that telll them where he is. So that he could aquire all the latest on what is happening. From what is nearby, that might endanger his life, to the nearby prey he could hunt and feed off of. Even nearby caves to hold up in. That is how he found the current one he was about to leave. He packed up his supplies, and sleeping bag. He was a decent campfire cook, but he was really curious to try the human way. There was nothin like having Timham Soup with a side of Red-Horn Troll Steak. But he could just as well make that over a fire, it was just exponentially more difficult. He stamped out the remains, making sure to toss any of the remains of food, underneath the pile of ash and timber.

R'Nieth was now prepared, after another 20 minutes of talking to his nearby snake friend (a black and red cobra), to head out on his journey across the beastland Gr'lun. There was a nearby pack Feral Jackel nearby that wanted to take on. Not to many of his kind could take on one of these creatures, due to their deadly poisioneos teeth and claws. Although R'Nieth himself was immune to such poisons (any deadly kind), he knew that they also possessed a paralysis poison for playing with their prey. Which he was not immune to, he could be parylized, and that split second could the end of him. So, he would take them on, to train himself more. He would do this in a steathy surprised attack and them slaughter the rest. Making sure to harvest thier meat, claws and teeth. HE would extract some of their poison for later use.

R'Nieth stealthily headed in the direction of the Feral Jackels ready to pounce, and slaughter. Bidding the cobra adieu before he left.

Wolf sat at his encampment waiting for the day light to shine through the low canopy, or at least to a native of Fuh'Nor, of this small forest. From the camp he had, Wolf could easily see a couple of caves. Last night when he was setting up camp Wolf saw a small amount of smoke from the farthest cave. Sitting over the map of the Taus that he had recently acquired, which has an up-to-date drawing of the human lands, and matching it to his old one, which has an up-to-date drawing of the beastlands, Wolf now plotted his course along one of the larger Conduit Lines. "This course should allow me to hone my guidance by magic skills and allow me to see, document, and study the humans." Wolf said happily to himself before picking up the last of what he was taking with him from his fairly unused hunting camp.

After the run in with the Feral Jackel, if you could call it run in, R'Nieth set about heading toward a large body of energy that he could sense from afar. He really didn't want to wander aimlessly, but he felt a strong urge to head in that direction. He hoped he would wander into a Master of Magics, so he could aquire to learn some more usful things. He could hunt, sneak, and stealth attack. But he wanted to build on the foundation he started. If there were ever a fight that started out of knowhere, he didn't want to run anymore. He wanted hone his sword skills, which is what he was doing with the Jackels. But really, it was all to become strongr, at basic skills, become better with transportation, surprise, and all manner of defense. If there were a way to make himself stronger, he would do it. For his people's survival, and reputation. But also for his own, escpecially for his own. He would not sit aroun be surprised, he would find a home, settle down, build a kingdom, reproduce. He would do all that and more. But not until he toook small steps first. Like learning a transportation spell, or foot technique, or something. It would help him greatly.

Just after he got up, Wolf sensed a large body of magic that was not a Conduit Line. This he could tell because the Conduit Lines magic is constantly changing in power while still staying on the same exact course. Without thinking, Wolf began to walk towards the large mass of magic energy, but on his way there he ran into an injured dragon, who was in the early parts of the Wise stage of life. "Can I help you?" Wolf asked the dragon who was the size of two small houses. "No, but you can listen to, and head my words little beast. We are all just pieces in a game played by those above us, some players are mortal and others are not, but no matter what we do, or what we seek, we are all still just pieces of the game. A good player can cause a war, a great player can cause piece, a grand player can cause cataclysm and recovery, while all still profit. This game is not about you, or me, or any who think they control their own lives, we are all guided into place by the players of the game, and sometimes a square, or a piece, or a hand must be lost to win. We are also cards, used to control the fates and paths of others. We all are indirectly used to control each other by helping all to live in ignorance. This is my wisdom little beast." The dragon stated with his last breath. 'Thank you for the wisdom.' Wolf said with a bow of respect as the dragon closed his eyes for good. Now Wolf headed for the great magical disturbance.

R'Nieth decided that he was not going to waste time wandering through the plains without at least running into a worthy oponent, so began to reach out using his senses and reptilian friends. When he was sure that there was another safe place to do so anyways. He went out of his way to find a cave the prvious night, and did a meditative sitting, reaching out with his senses, detecting a strong magical source north of where he was meditating. He also sensed someone heading in that direction, he had a weird aura about him. So he started to head off in that direction in the night, since he could see in the dark, to try and scout out whom the being might be. He got within a mile of the being, and trailed him from behind for a couple of days. He was warned the previous night that the being was dangerous, but R'Nieth was traveling on a path dedicated towards stregnth. So the next day, which was today, he was following the being, keeping about a quarter mile away from him, to keep from detection. He was headin in a direction that was leading toward a magical source, very vast and fluctuating. R'Nieth had little idea what was in store for him.

Wolf pack from camp this day, and like the last couple of days, he felt like he was being followed. No, he knew that he was being followed and that what was following him must be stealthy reptile for it did not stink like the mammals, nor did it make much noise. Though he was on alert, he paid it very little attention as it had not attacked yet. Every day Wolf walked and hunted on his path towards the disturbance, he could feel it closing in on him. What ever it was, it was alive and was as curious as Wolf as Wolf was to it, and/or it wanted to kill Wolf. Now he thought again 'Should I try and speak to my follower?' and as always thought right after that 'No, I would probably startle it and cause it to attack.' Wolf could tell, 'one more day till I meet this disturbance.', as he set up his mobile camp set as he did any time that he was on the move.

After following the unknown wolf for a couple of days. R'Nieth didn't see where he was headed. In fact, it seemed like he was just being lead in a giant cirlce. Maybe the wolf was on to him? Which normally isn't possible, but R'Nieth isn't exactly the inventor of stealth, although he was an elite stealth artist, he knew no one else to really compare himself to.. He cared little of status, so anyone calling him names, or labeling him based on skill would end up dead or being ignored. He was beginning to wonder of the wolf's abilities, however. If he could detect R'Nieth from half a mile off, then it is safe to say that the cirlce he was being lead in, might be for him to have a chance to reveal himself. It would seem, that the wolf, when he began to hunt, would hunt in a sophisticated manner. Luring him to believe that he is headed in the same direction once finished. But R'Nieth knew better, he knew the wolf would just be headin a slightly different direction, which would lead in a giant circular manner. Or at least that was R'Nieth's theory and interpretation of the wolf's movements. R'Nieth might have been given the ok to approach the wolf if that was the case. R'Nieth was a little confused by such a preposterous thought, but maybe it was worth trying, that way he would be informed on the real direction he was headed. R'Nieth has beed hunting his food along the way this whole time, but like many reptiles, R'Nieth need only eat small amounts periodically. He could do that, or one big meal for 3 - 4 weeks worth of food. Unlike his bretheren, R'Nieth need only eat so often to survive, however, he liked to eat frequently, similar to the frequency of when the wolf hunts. It used alot of energy to stave off hunger for one big catch. R'Nieth noticed that he was getting closer to the wolf each day, which wasn't his intention, but he decided to go for broke, and would meet the wolf the next day. When morning came next, he would engage the wolf in conversation.

R'Nieth set up camp, and thought about all the things he had learned from his travels on this plain. It definitly made him stronger, and his swordplay was superb now. Not on bar with speed based swordsmen, but he could damnwell cut through almost anything using technique alone, without spells. Just a well honed sword. R'Nieth was proud of his new strength, enhanced senses, enhanced speed. Everything, in this plain, has been a challenge, and has been making him adapt and become stronger. Mostly because he believed in himself and faced them head on. But he would still need to grow. He would perfect his strength, and his sword skills, then maybe move on to the dark arts. He had an affinity for it, but he would not really get into it until he had sufficient strength of body and mind. R'Nieth looked at the stars as he contemplated his master. Someone he was looking for, a master that would teach him swordplay mastery, and dark arts. Might end up being two different people. Who knows? R'Nieth was a lone warrior, looking to perfect his attributes. Like all warriors, he would need to find someone to teach him, and show him the flaws for improvement. R'Nieth went to sleep after thinking about his future master. Thinking that it would be a pure joy to just meet someone to teach him, scold him, break him, and build him. 'One day soon' he thought, falling asleep.

When morning next came, R'Nieth would pack up, and head in the direction of the wolf, hoping to catch him early before he left his spot.

This night Wolf began to want to meet the follower who he had smelled getting close enough to get a good whiff. Wolf's prior thoughts that his follower was reptilian in nature was very true, but as he had followed the trail of the large magic disturbance he had noticed now, after taking a night to think instead of hunt, that he was being led in a circle and so was his follower. Wolf also noticed that the circle was getting smaller with the passing day. 'Someone is following me, and something is playing with us.' Wolf thought to himself, while he was feeding on one of his recent large kills. Without even realizing it, Wolf had left his camp quite early with all of his weapons, and had left an extremely obvious trail.

R'Nieth, after leaving early to catch the wolf that he was following, hoping to get a good look up close, and a friendly conversation. The one thing that R'Nieth wasn't very sure of, was his social skills. He was a little too direct and to the point for many snake assocciates. The problem was, they could not disobey or disrespect him. For the snakes respected power, and realize intinctively that he is a superior being. At least, in the reptialian world. There were others like him. Some not so good looking, with wrong proportions. Medusa is a prime example of that. But no one would speak of her distant cousins. At least genetically speaking. Although she is decended from a different time, and with godly blood. R'Nieth possesses some of that blood, but no where near enough for him to be able to be considereda demi-god or anything like that. He was simply part reptile, snake in particular. That is what he liked to say, because the genetic pool is confusing, origin wise. The snake was the most prominent, and obvious, so he just ment with that. R'Nieth reflected on his heritage a bit more as he got closer to the camp the wolf was surely at. He knew for sure that his direct lineage, all the way to his great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather, was a very well respected family. His family was very well accepted in the community, even if they were part reptilian. They were never shunned, but weren't treated excellent either. They had to earn their respect and wealth. Which they did eventually. But they were caring, and helpful, so they were accepted well enough.

Stemming all the way back to venetian times, he was a decended from humble beginnings. Back then, some 6 great grandfathers ago, his family was an eccentric family that was well respected for their sculpting, and mining. Which was weird, usually sculpters back then didn't mmine their own material. But that is what made his family so great, they sculpted and mined thier own material. The sculpt were so life like, that the spectators and merchants never could figure out how the sculpt were done. The first to make a sculpt for the royal family was his 5th great grandmother. Reiya Volger. She was better than her mentor, her father. She married into the family, and learned our craft so well, that she created a brand new technique to sculpt simple curves, and edges. She made sculpts for all the royal families on commission. Usually sculpts would take a few months to finish for normal sculpter, even a year or so depending on the craftsman's skill. But Reiya, no matter the sculpt, would always finish in 63 days. Two months, exactly and always. If it ever was a day over, it was because she had the materials specially mined, or imported. But she was amazing. Creating peices out of materials that never even was thought to be able to be used as an additive or accent. She eventually took to usuing materials like, silver, gold, jade, for outlining and details; but silk to dress the sculpts if requested. She was amazing.

Another part of our humble past, which is when the martial arts, hunting, and strength of his lineage comes from. The presence of the wife's skill, and money she was bringing in, eventually lead to making swords for certain empires as blacksmiths by the husband's hands.. But that didn't start until my 5th great grandfather took toward it after seeing the skill his wife weilded. His father was a sculpter, but he did not want nor had need of such things, or so he thought. So he took toward honing another skill. Crafting swords, and weaponry was what he fascinated with, so he took that up. He even took up practicing the sword to better hone and appreciate his art. Arlaniard Volger was the most unstable workaholic in the family to date. Which was a simple matter for him, becasue of his wife. Everyone wanted to support them, so they would always have them at their disposal. He was a bit insane, because he would lose many hours of sleep learning from the royal guard of nearby kingdoms, while also practicing on his own time. He would even go mining for strengthing his muscles, and then take the materials back home with overecumbering himself. So he continued to practice, and eventually had children, whom took up the mantle, and skill. As well as the training in swordmanship, mining, crafting, hunting, and charisma. They would learn all this, and take the business to new heights. A story to reflect on, for another time, R'Nieth thought.

He came upon the camp, and saw that he just missed the wolf. The trail that was left behind, was obvious enough. R'Nieth saw a pile of tender, and wood burned fully out. With some remains of recent eatings. He bent down to sniff and examine the remains. 'Warmonger Bullhorns' he thought...Very elusive and dangerous boar like animals. If the wolf could catch such a thing, he was very good indeed. He also noticed that it wasn' a full meal of the food either, so the wolf knew how to preserve, as well. A clever companion he would be indeed. The trail was made from the leftover bones of the beast. Which was clever, because he knew I was coming, and wanted me only to follow. R'Nieth got up from his croutch, he looked in the direction that the trail led. He could actually see the wolf from afar. R'Nieth would make an effort to catch up with him today. Sprinting to get to the wolf, so that he could catch him and ask some questions.

Wolf, finally having found the disturbance, stood almost motionless with only his ears moving at an extremely fast rate. As he heard R'Nieth coming down the trail he had left, Wolf summoned a shadow barrier to prevent the lizard, that he did not know yet, from getting in the danger Wolf now stood in. There was a large stone looking beast that seemed to move only slightly, but was letting out a constant hum that normally kept life away from it. This giant being was sleeping by the looks of it, and Wolf took no chance of waking the moving pile of stone.

As R'Nieth got close to the barrier, it began to move, ripping stone out of the ground and standing at total around 50 yards tall. Now the humming had stopped. This moving stone pile looked at Wolf and R'Nieth, who was still behind the barrier, with what looked to be a head arranged from the stone. Its fist then came raging up from the ground, destroying anything it touched. Wolf then spoke "What and who are you?" to which the monster responded "Great Golem Gutieritium, most powerful being from the Ice Ways." Wolf after a second of thought, lowered the barrier that blocked R'Nieth and and asked Gutieritium "Why are you here Great Golem?" After some thought from the stony being it replied "To do the thousand year check on the squishy ones." Then, without a moments notice, Gutieritium was gone with some snowflakes dropping from where it stood.

Wolf now turned to R'Nieth "So, you are the one who has been following me. You are quite good, I never heard a sound from you. Now your scent, though not much, I could smell from a good distance." after a small pause Wolf continued "I am Wolf of the Grand Forest Fun'Nor. Who are you?" Wolf said with a distinct look of curiosity.

"I am R'Nieth Volger of the Volger family, I don't really hail from anywhere, but my family is extensive and quite famous blacksmiths. I am their decendent, and most capable fighter, and hunter. The one thing that you should know about me, is that I am friendly unless betrayed. But I don't exactly know how to be friend. I never had one, except the snakes. So, nice to meet you, but what was that thing?" R'Nieth looked at the place where something was just a moment ago. Thier was a huge crater there. R'Nieth is just as likely to get into a fight he doesn't need to, but that was just it. He was stealth. He was training to be a more open based fighter, one that is out in the open. One day, he will be a grand battle/mage who specializes in stealth. A bit different he knew, but he was very well going to do it.

"I sincerely wish that I could tell you what that thing was, other than that it is a golem from the Iceways who came to check on us." Spoke Wolf with a look of curiousity on his face, the rest of his body currently covered in his cloak. Wolf then walked slowly over to where the golem had been and put his hand out. After about a second Wolf's hand and eyes got a strange, black, and mist-like glow around them. "This being had an amazing amount of magical power in it and the spell that it used to leave would have been hell on any mage that I know. It must be very resillent and have quite a large storage of magium. Odd, indeed." Wolf now looked back at R'Nieth. "What would you make of this Wanderer R'Nieth?"

"As it goes, although I have a affinity for magic, I don't have much practice of it. I have an extensive theoretical, and metodical encyclopedia of knowledge on it...but I'm a stealthy swordsman at most. However, I am to learn magic once I find a proper master. Another reason I am traveling these roads. To find him, hopefully I find one in this kingdom, or I will travel to the next to find him." R'Nieth indeed did not know much about magic. He wanted to learn more, but that would take time. R'Nieth examined the crater, seeing a blue residual plasma inside it. He blinked his eyes, to see into th ultraviolet spectrum. He had the ability to see into any spectrum, low, high, infrared, ultraviolet, even ma'at. The dimension that parellels this world, but only those with an affinity for egyptian magic can see. "I reckon this residual energy, or plasma, must be from the transfer. I bet his contitution is comprimised everytime he does that. Maybe that is why he was humming energy like that, to build up enough of it to make the transfer. He is obviously using an advance delayed teleport technique, but I doubt he can do that without leaving some of his atoms behind. Which is what that must be." R'Nieth pointed at the blue plasma.

Wolf now alerted to the blue goo decided to take a look at it, and then sniff it. "You seem to be mistaken my reptilian friend. This goo is not part of the golem, but instead a solid mass of magium, the energy that this world uses to produce magic." Looking now even closer at the goo. "To cause it to solidify requires outstanding instantaneous use of magium. That must have been one hell of a spell." Wolf then let it slide through his hands before turning around, and throwing it at a random tree. Within seconds the tree absorbed the mass, even before it touched the ground. "There is the truest test to tell if blue goo is solid magium or atoms. Trees absorb magium any chance they get, that is how they grow so large and strong."

A fine observation indeed. This guy, would make a great sompanion, he could learn from thier partnership indeed. "You thinik maybe that creature is of a mythical kind? Maybe some kind of creation made out of neccessity for one reason or another? Like how there is a protector of the nile river? Borne from nothing but the will of river, and hope of the people. The neccessity to protect the people from bile, and contaminents, flooding and such. You think that is what he is? A protector of some land?" R'Nieth sasked.

"Have you never heard of the golems of the Yuqu Ice Ways. They live on only the largest of the icebergs," Wolf is now talking extensively with his hands. "They form from the lack of absorption of magium, what allows everyone and everything to cast. It is a common belief that they form from the stone becoming soaked to the point of becoming alive due to magium. This means that they are both physical and magical but not natural, as is nothing that comes from the ice ways." Wolf pauses for a moment to take a breath and calm down after having the ability to show his knowledge of the magic side of the realm. "Golems also come from places that no one goes to and nothing lives in, therefor causing large build ups of magium. But, the fact that we got to see one up close, and that one only comes every thousand years, is just unbelievable." Wolf stops again to take a quick breath. "On your theory, it can't be because it would not have left the spot it is needed. It would also not have been made of stone or able to combine with the ground like it did." Wolf sat on a near by tree that was knocked down by the rising of the golem, the fact that last night had offered him little sleep was obvious by the look of pleasure when he finally stopped moving.

Very interesting, R'Nieth had not heard of such a species. Indeed this would be a powerful being. "Why would such a being, having lived in seclusion for so long, and as a way of life. Come all the way out here?" R'Nieth inquired, it didn't add up, unless the golem was really checking up periodically. But if that were the case..."What do you suppose it checks every thousand years?" So many questions, and theoretical possibilities. R'Nieth would research more into this phenomenom when he had the chance, maybe his future master will have some knowledge of this. R'Nieth took a seat in the crater, and started to meditate on an answer. Waiting for the wolf to reply.

"Why? If you were secluded and knew that there was life out in the distance, wouldn't you at least try to check on it? As to why they only do it every thousand years, you would have to look into how fast their time goes." Wolf answered, thinking out loud. "However I am not surprised that you have never heard of them. But it does mean one thing, you have never met Antorunir Geny'p. The beasts entire life is devoted to beasts that no one ever hears about." Now Wolf seems to closely examine R'Nieth with his eyes for the first time. "You said that you wanted to learn something of magic. I am no master, but I have a lot that I can teach and I guarantee that you will learn the practical parts of magic, if you care to travel with this young beast to go and study the humans." Wolf said before falling backwards and finally reaching deep sleep.

R'Nieth looked on with intrigue, listening to what the young wolf had to say. He was really interested in all the information being given. He though of what the wolf said about the migration proccess for anylizing the people of this world. I honestly don't know what he would trael this far for. If he wanted to anylize, thier are many of spells for that. R'Nieth was beginning to think that there was more to the equation than just the anylitical purpose, for the golem. The golem was propably checking more than just the magical residue of the earth the humans polute, but also maybe the magical reserves of the earth. It would not surprise R'Nieth in one bit if that golem was perhaps helping the eart regenerate its reserves, or maybe even cleanse it. Now that is a thory....

Before R'Nieth could voice his theories, or even answer the wolfs inqueries, the wolf fell aslepp. R'Nieth smiled, sensing the wolf go into slumber, although R'Nieth was still meditating, sensing any irregularities in the environments, and the plasma goo. But now, he got up, and made a camp, so that the wolf would not be in danger of any kind. R'Nieth set up a tent, and a protective perimeter, consiting of marked territory, by way of scent, and magic. R'Nieht knew only the kind of magic to keep him alive, which is hunter casts, and barrier casts...neither of which were extremly powerful. They were actually the kind of casts that he was ok at. Not great, but just 'ok', mostly because they were light arcane magic...his weakest affinity. Regardless, R'Nieth scoured the perimeter, making sure to call upon his reptilian froends to help with intell on danger. As well as any potential hunts/game for him to catch if need be. He had reserves, but he wanted to save it. R'Nieth made a fire, and settled for camp, making sure to keep watch throught the entire night. R'Nieth didnt sleep, and made sure to make Wolf as comfortable as possible for the entire time he was sleep.

Wolf woke from his sudden and deep sleep to notice the tent around him. In his daze he slowly sniffed to ensure that he was in no form of danger, after which he walked slowly out from the tent to see R'Nieth sitting on the log where Wolf had fallen asleep on. "I can see that you wished no harm come to me R'Nieth." Wolf then began to look around at the barriers "Well, for most this is impressive casting, but for magi, this could use some work. How do you stand when you cast?" Wolf asked with a look of curiosity and the stance of a trainer.

"I did NOT wish ANY harm upon you. I am indeed one who is looking for comrades. A comrade would not have left you to fend for yourself." R'Nieth got up from the log, and walked over to where Wolf was standing. As if he was going to spar, or show him something proper. Much like R'Nieth's father used to do. Hopefully nowhere near as rough as his father once did. R'Nieth took a stance, legs slightly seperated, but parrallel to each other, he put his hands into a conjuring position, where his hands where inchese apart in a semi-circle (something he was told to do since he was an amature, something about it being the simplest way to gather ki and magi). He began to summon some magi into the area, per his regular training regime, a ball of swirling blue/green tendrils began to form inbetween his hands. "This is my normal way of conjuring and summoning, I know there are several different methods to do what I am doing right now, even though it is so simple and basic. The one who taught me was a traveling mage, who told me I had potential, and taught me this and all of the barrier spells I know. It is the most basics of basics, yet I have not mastered it in the month that I have learned it." R'Nieth threw the tendrils at the barrier, to stregnthen them.

Then he took up his second basic stance. He put one foot 6 inches back, and raised his left hand in a waving manner, he swirled his right hand in a mimicing motion, but in the opposite direction. Creating a circle of energy upon three rotations. The circle created a clear mirror of the land around them from a birdseye point of view, it showed up to 5 miles of their immediate location. The picture was crystal clear, and adjustable, it left no residual magic nor where thier any sloppy magi seething from it, it was undetectable to the average mage. Anyone adept enough could tell the amount of magi being put into it, an excessive amount, showing he didn't use an altering algorythms or adjustment spells to keep effeciency. Anyone adept enough could tell how much of an ametuer he was. But would know he was very good for what he accomplished in the time he learned the techniques. "This is my Range Mirror, a hunting skill I learned to help me survive. It's an advance technique, along with the barriers I know, but they are both still sloppy. If I was not using dark fire magic to conjure these, they would fail everytime. It's only because of the nature of the technique that I am able to use it. Apparently I have an affinity for dark fire magic. But the castes themselves can be used with light-fire or dark-fire, even though they are light arcane in nature. I still don't understand it, that is what the wizard explained to me. I have kittle knowledge of hybrid magic. Which is apparently what this is, and what I have an affinity for. Hence why I am looking for a master, an companions who might assisst in my learning and understanding."

"Let me teach you a bit harder of a stance. This one focuses on casting through focus, reducing magium use and, for those who are good at focusing, difficulty of casts. Now you stand with your feet together and your hands about a foot apart just above the belly button." Wolf takes the stance, breaths deep, and then just outside of R'Nieth's barriers appear barriers that seem quite a bit stronger, and then Wolf breaths out, getting out of his stance. "You see, for hunters like you and me, this stance is perfect. It hardly draws on our magium and allows us to cast with much greater ease, but for those who don't have that excessive level of focus or who are in combat this stance is useless. Now take the stance, breath in, and focus on the spell you wish to cast. We will see then just how much of an affect your stance has."

R'Nieth took the stance, and breathed in deeply, focusing on the task he wished to get done, which at the moment seemed to be just strengthen his own barrier with pouring an excessive amount of magium into it. He concentrated, and concentrated, until several moments later, his barrier turned a darker more solid blue. The barrier would be stronger, and more solid, as well as harder to detect. R'Nieth let go of the stance, looking a bit nauseous. as nauseous as a snake can look anyway. "This is harder to do, maybe because I focus on magic more than...well, focus. It may take me time to master that, I feel more easy of cast though, it is just the focusing part. It takes more concentration on a different source of energy, or does it? Am I still drawing on the dark-fires?"

"No, no, no. You need to focus on the spell, not on the cast, and not the energy source. You are obviously thinking too much on the what has to be done and not enough on the actual spell. You must focus on the output, not on the input or the process, that is if you are only doing one cast at a time." Wolf said with a teacher's tone. "Now let us try again after you feel recovered. Use your abilities of a hunter, and focus on the output of the spell."
