Ame had always been taller than most, but started leveling off in middle school. He currently stands at five feet and eleven inches tall while weighing one hundred and forty eight pounds. With average length auburn hair, the boy's bangs fall down over his face, but his light red eyes peak out from underneath. Many girls find Ame attractive and often come to his classroom to watch him read Shounen manga. Everyone finds it entertaining because he wears his emotions on his face when reading; showing excitement and happiness, among other emotions. Some say they even saw him shed a tear once.

⌈HistoryβŒ‹
Growing up was hard on Ame, as he grew up in a broken home. Being the child of an alcoholic parent is never easy, and Ame along with his sister grew up with two of them. No matter what, Ame had to look after his little sister. That was his one and only goal. The boy grew annoyed after a while, always lamenting the fact that he could never have a stable home life or social life. On many occasions Ame yelled at his sister for always clinging to his back; he would yell, "Leave me alone! Why do I always have to lead you around by the hand?! Go make some actual friends and just leave me by myself!" She would never reply; she never really said much anyway, so Ame was used to it. She would just look down at her feet and wait for her older brother to stop yelling. Yelling at his sister didn't make Ame any happier; he hated doing it, in fact. He just wanted his sister to have some friends other than himself. Ame thought that if she did make friends, then she would be happy. That may be true, but it was certainly the thinking of a child. He hadn't figured it out until he was a little older, but his sister always could have made friends on her own, even if she was socially awkward, she just chose not to. She had figured that if she left him, her older brother would then be alone, which may have been the case.

By the time Ame was ten years old, he never yelled at his sister anymore. He never really yelled at all. Even when he got hurt, Ame wouldn't cry or wail or anything of the sort. He would just continue what he was doing like nothing had happened. At this time Ame was leading his sister around town. The two of them would stay out as late as possible to avoid having to see their parents at home, so they would spend their time walking around town together. They would often meet troublesome kids, but Ame could usually scare them off without having to fight.

One day Ame was leading his sister around town when they stumbled upon the sound of a child wailing. Normally, this wouldn't stop Ame and he would continue on his way, but it was a familiar sound. Not familiar in the sense that he had known the voice behind the sound, but that the sound itself was familiar. It wasn't the typical crying you would hear of a child not getting what they wanted or dropping their ice cream, but one of true sadness. It was a very familiar cry to Ame. So he surprised his sister by suddenly turning off the sidewalk they had been using and stepping onto the lawn of an unfamiliar house. Ame walked toward the back of the house, where he had heard the crying coming from, his sister closely following behind him. There sat a child, wailing into his hands which were covering most of his face. He didn't seem to notice the two children walk over, because he looked startled when Ame called out. In all honesty, Ame had no idea what to say when consoling someone, especially since he didn't know what was wrong, but he spoke anyway. "Why are you crying?" Ame had asked, wondering if he could help in some way. "Where are your parents?"

After a few moments of silence, the crying boy had mustered a response. "They're gone," he said.

"Oh... I see." It was a bit vague, but he got the idea. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to pry much further; it might have started another crying fit. Eagerly trying to think of a way to help the boy, Ame blurted out the first idea that came to his head. "Baseball!" Ame exclaimed, "Let's play baseball together!" Without waiting for a response, because he was acting on pure adrenaline now, Ame grabbed the boy's hand and pulled him to his feet. Ame's sister, Chika, was taken aback by her brother's new-found personality, but she didn't disagree to go with the two. After they learned that there were more players needed for a baseball team, the three children went around town searching for children to join their team. After finding a few potential candidates, which Ame had adamantly stated were needed for the team, the three kids began a long journey to making friendships that would stand the test of time. All of the kids Ame had picked were hurting in one way or another, and he felt that maybe he could help them by having them join the team. And in doing all this, he would help his little sister, who was always there for him, even when he was being unreasonable. She would now have friends other than her brother and the two siblings could stop depending on each other.

Now that he is in high school, Ame has to try and stop depending on others and get ready for life outside school and his tightly knit circle of friends.
