Appearance:
Lydia has long wavy hair. Its color is light brown, but strangely enough gets more pinkish-red highlights in the sun rather than red or blonde. Her skin is pale with pink undertones. Most times her eyes are brown, but certain emotions and direct sunlight make the shine a beautiful purple. She has a thin frame, but muscular from being a gymnast. She is also a bit tall for a gymnast, standing at around 5’8. She likes wearing decorations in her hair, and he dressing style is modest and girlish. She wears sweaters, tights, boots and skirts in the winter. In the heat, she wears loose off shoulder tops of any color, although her favorite is dark grey, and colorful shorts. She wears tank tops under her shirts and also has her whip on her at all times, hidden somehow of course.
Age (similar to Pageling ward): 17
Personality: Lydia is a little shy around people she just meets. If it were up to her, she’d just stay at the gym or inside reading, however her father is persistent on getting her out into the world. She is pretty mature for her age, and most often makes the right decisions. She hardly ever does anything wrong, and so she never gets in trouble. Part of it was the way she was raised, but mainly, she makes rules for herself and follows them. Once she makes a friend she loses her shyness and opens up. However, don’t put her in charge of keeping conversation going, because she can never think of anything to talk about. Once she has made her friends and finds her comfort zone, she is pretty blunt. She isn't afraid to tell the truth to people, event hough it might hurt them. She might feel bad about it, but not enough to stop herself. She thinks that if a person goes on believing something is true when it's not, it turns out far worse than them finding out at the beginning. She is pretty curious about the way other people live, not behind closed doors and high walls. She is very studious, and reserved as said before, so even when she was invited to parties she had never gone. She is very brave, and might just help a stranger even if she might get hurt herself. The only place her bravery falters is when talking to strangers first. But, if she gathers her courage to ask a question, she might not stop because of her natural curiosity.
Background: She was born to May Finn as Sasha Finn in Japan. When she was 4, her mother finally told her where her father was. May told her she had no idea, and he had run off when he found out that May was pregnant. The next year on her birthday, her father, James came to Japan and found them. He and May went at it for a good 3 hours while little Sasha hid in her room. It ended James essentially kidnapping Sasha and taking her to South Korea to hide from May. Sasha was frantic for days, and eventually May showed up. She looked at her daughter and James. They looked exactly alike, and May no longer wanted to have anything to do with either of them. James let Sasha change her name, and she chose Lydia and she took James’ last name. He put her in gymnastics and Hankido; a Korean martial art based off traditional dances and self-defense. After getting so far in that, her Master instructor began teaching her Hapkido, the sister art. She spoke Japanese when she was younger, but she doesn’t remember much. She also doesn’t remember much of her mother, so she isn’t a pity case. She is pretty neutral on the whole being abandoned thing. After her father explained that he had been looking for Lydia her whole life, Lydia understood. She knows Korean after living there for 9 years. Her father also made sure she learn English. They moved to Texas when she was 14 and have been there ever since. Only then did he tell her what she was and about the Pagelings. She had been excited and nervous about getting her ward, but now she feels she is finally ready.
Abilities: Hankido and Hapkido. Gymnastics and dancing.
Weapons (melee): Her hands and feet, and she also has a long black whip. (She did ribbon twirling in Gym a bit, so she is very good with a whip.)
Oddities (scars, quirks etc.): She doesn’t show her teeth when she smiles. She absolutely loves cats. She wraps her whip around her forearm, so the skin there has been rubbed raw. Now she has a spirling scar starting on the back of her hand at the base of her thumb. She is afraid of horses.
