Razer

Are you talking to me?

0 · 442 views · located in Alzera

a character in “On a Whim”, as played by Fatal_Flaw_Enki

Description

Tiger kin with black and white hair that hits his shoulders. He has a nice dark tan to his body and two lovely eyes, one blue and the other golden. He is bold and dangerous at times, wearing only a pair of ruined shorts and a tight fitting shirt.

Personality

Smarty, mouthy, and thinks highly of himself an no one else. He would rather be left alone, though he follows others in silence to keep the closeness of other individuals. At heart he is a real softy, and actually cares for those who are around him, even though he makes it seems that he hates everyone that he comes in contact with.

Equipment

Claws.

History

Razer, like most tiger kin, were thrown away from their mother's at a young age to survive on their own. He mostly traveled the land, and learned to live without anyone's help. One day he had met a man name Kuen who helped him out a great deal. They worked together in a pair never to be separated until the Sin's came. Kuen was able to flee, or so Razer thought, but he was taken to the islands. It was not long after that in which he found trust in some of the sailors who bailed him out of the camps and had him start working on the ships.

So begins...

Razer shrugged his shoulders. "That is up to you two." He stated, looking Aria and Skye over. "We will dock at Reeper's Land in a few days, and it will be up to the two of you whether or not you want to take off and chance your lives on the mainland. Though with her injuries..."

"Aria," she mumbled, not liking that the man kept referring to her as her, or woman. It was just all to awkward.

"Fine, but with Aria injured, the two of you won't get very far." Razer stated, not sure what else to offer. Though just as he was about to point out the woman's injuries again she sighed, rubbing it a little bit.

"We can take the mainland if you want," her amber eyes turned to Skye. "I'll have enough strength tomorrow to finish healing my wounds, from there we can take the forest through the demon lands toward Ra'zira and ask for refugee with a friend, who can give us safe passage to our homelands... or anywhere else we want to stay until the Casta Camp crisis blows over."

"Alright. That sounds like a plan.", Skye said to Aria, then turned to the tiger. "Since Aria has decided to give you her name, I will give you mine. It's Skye.", he stated, trying to sound less harsh with his words, but avoided eye contact. It was a habit he had built up over the years, many guards saw eye contact as a challenge, and would often punish people for it. So he had learned fairly quickly not to look at anyone directly. That was about the only advantage of having been taken so young: you learned things faster than older people would. He tugged on his hair, he hadn't really noticed, but it had really gotten long by now, the thick strands now coming to the middle of his back. He pushed back some of the hair that had fallen into his face, it was annoying him now, while before it had served as a barrier between him and everyone else. He would need to cut it now, once he had the chance.

Razer was actually not a fan of this plan. And learning that she could heal herself only meant that Aria was part of the fox clan past Ra'zira. Which meant that she was just like them and not human. It was no surprise that she had some type of supernatural blood in her line, but she did not come off as one of the lone foxes, especially since she managed to bring a leopard along for the ride. Razer shook his head lightly and then stood up. "Dinner will be done soon, I'll make sure they make enough for the two of you and bring some extras to the two of you. Being that I can't let you two die now." He then opened the door. "I suggest staying in here though, my crew is not exactly happy that I'm helping you escape."

Aria nodded, then leaned against the corner her bed was next to. "Thank you, Razer." She said softly. She closed her beautiful eyes and let out a sigh when the door shut. "Can we really trust him?" She turned her head to her new friend. "Can we trust an escapy that still works for the Sins?" she asked him more firmlythis time.

"Can we really trust him? Can we trust an escapee that still works for the Sins?", Aria asked him, and Skye snpped out of his own thoughts. To be honest, he had been thinking the same thing...

"I'm not sure, Aria...I mean he seems okay, and he wouldn't be helping us if he were just going to hand us back, would he? Regardless...do we really have a choice?", he asked, not liking the fact that he was answering a question with another question, but he wanted Aria's opinion on this matter. he wasn't really sure what to think of Razer, he had helped them yes, but the years in the Camps had made him paranoid, and he kept thinking of the way Sheela had been nice to him, only to cause him more pain later. She often did that, it made the eventual agony much worse. He didn't want to think that Razer would do the same, but the suspision was there anyway.

Razer moved through the crew toward the edge of the boat. He took in a deep breath of the salty air, and smiled when he saw that the Casta Camps were getting further away from the boat. It was not something he prided himself in, taking people from the mainland to the camps, but it ensured his safety with his crew as their captain. Then he thought about the two that were on of the many rooms under the deck, he could take them back and earn even more freedom form Sheela than he has now, but that would not be something Kuen would expected him to do.

"What would you do?" he asked the air, wondering what his magi friend would have done in his situation. It was still unknown whether or not the magi had survived their attack so many years ago. He didn't even know if Kuen was alive anymore. Leaning forward, the captain stared out into the depths of the water and thought about the two that were probably discussing about trusting him. "You would want me to do the right thing, and let them go on the mainlands." He stated, and then took in a deep breath. He decided he would give them a head start, and if his men caught them during their raids of the main land then he would take them back, but for their sake and his sanity, he hoped they would manage to get as far away from the Reeper Land's as they possibly could.

At first Aira didn't know how to take the arm around her shoulders. In a moment then she snapped, moving away from him. "I don't need your pity." She narrowed her eyes. "We've been through hell, you and I. But just because I helped you and you helped me does not mean we are the same at all." Her instinct was to move, and she did. She opened the door, almost running into Razer and was out on the deck in minutes.

Razer stared at Skye for a moment, then turned around to find that Aria had gone up to the deck. His first thought was to go up and talk with her, but instead he thought speaking with the leopard first would give them a little time to mule over the events that had just taken place. "You should go after her..." he said softly, stepping into the room and staring at the leopard. "You've both been through a lot, and you are both hurt. Neither of you trust me enough, and women are difficult." He chuckled at the last part.

"She doesn't want comfort, but if you just let her run off like that she'll think that this... you grabbing her was an act..." The tiger took in a deep breath. "Just apologize and tell her that you are partners until you split ways on the mainland. That you both need at least one person to trust... for now."

"I suppose I'd better...", Skye reluctantly agreed, pushing himself off the bed. He had known he would have to talk to her anyway, he just hadn't wanted to. Even before the Camps, he had never been one for mushy stuff.

Still, there was no avoiding this. Passing Razer, he went up on deck, ignoring the stares from the (mostly) human crew. He should have expected that, Beast-kin weren't exactly a common sight nowadays, or so he assumed.
It made finding Aria easier though, as most of the crew gave her a wide berth.
"hey....", he began quietly when he approached, stopping next to her and leaning on the side of the ship. He had never been on a boat, except for when he was taken. He didn't feel sick or anything though, just intrigued by the way the ship seemed to work. If he could spend a bit more time here and learn...he stopped those thoughts before they could take a more solid form, he couldn't afford to think about things like that.
"Look...I'm sorry...about before. If I offended you in any way, I take it back. I know we're not the same. I just...I was trying to help..."

Razer watched Skye go, hoping that the two could patch what they had. It was not often that he saw two people of opposite beast kin get along, let alone escape an island together without more trouble than they had. It would be just awful if the two fought now, and their broken bond put them back on that dreadful island.

Up on the deck, many of the human men were staring at Aria. They were confused to see that she was up and walking, considering that when she arrived she had a nasty leg break. They were also intrigued by her beauty, which the sun played so well with. Her blond hair was even brighter, like the first fall of snow. Her honey eyes seemed to glisten, though they were filled with a fire that kept the men at bay. None of them knew she was a beast kin like their captain or the leopard for earlier, but they were willing to bet she had some magical ability, whether it was some form of animal or dark magic.

Their eyes turned to the leopard, just as the girl had jumped over the edge of the deck and sat herself on the railing. Soon he was at her side, leaning next to her, but far enough not to touch her. As if it had gotten him in trouble before. The girl was so lost in her thoughts that she did not notice the crew, or hear Skye approach her. Instead she was focusing completely on the beating of the waves and the salty mist in the air. She had only been on a boat once before, and it was spent at the bottom of the boat chained to many others who were frightened or sick. "Hmmm..." her voice hummed when she heard someone speak to her. At first she did not realize it was Skye until she heard the 'Look, I'm sorry..." and she turned her attention away from the natural world to the world of people.

"I'm sorry..." she said softly, knowing that it was not his fault. They both had been desocialized in those camps. They were not sure how to deal with others, it was a miracle that she even recalled that helping others was the right thing to do instead of letting them rot. "I'm not use to being touched. The only touch I know leads me down a path of pain. And I'm sorry for snapping." Her hands absently rubbed her shoulders, showing that right now she was feeling off about what she as saying. It was not often that she admitted that she was wrong. "We need to stay close... you're the only person I can trust right now..."

Aria's honey-gold eyes moved from the sea to the man next to her on the boat. She had never heard someone say that really trusted her other than the village that she once protected along side her brothers. A small smile formed on her lips and she thanked him with ease. Just as she was about to glide off the edge of the boat onto the deck, she heard a sound in the distance, it was faint, but it was familiar. "They know where we are..." she whispered, her voice shaken with fear that they had just endangered a boat of innocent men and women. "They found us..." her eyes turned to the horizon just as a large hovercraft in the air came their way from the island. She knew that Sheela had to be on that craft. "Skye... what do we do? She found us!"

At her shout, Razer was on the deck. He glanced over his men before he noticed the craft in the air floating after them. This was not good, he thought. It is never good when they send the hovercrafts after those who have escaped the clutches of the islands.

"Shit...", Skye muttered, also seeing the hovercraft. This was bad. Really very bad. Not just for them, but the people on the ship as well.
It was then that he made a decision. He didn't care what happened to him, as long as Aria got out of here.
Noticing Razer up on deck, he went ot him, roughly grabbing the Tiger's collar.
"I don't care what you have to do here. Get. Aria. Out.", he growled, emphasising each word. This guy had promised he'd help, now to see whether he meant what he said.

Razer's hands went to the tiger's grip pulling them away from his collar and pushing him. "I know..." he snarled, seeing that Aria had already swung over the side of the ship and was right behind Skye. It would take a lot to save them from the hovercraft, but it should be too bad. At least that is what he had hoped for. He took in a deep breath and quickly ordered his crew around, knowing they wouldn't be too excited about the situation, but they would listen anyway, for they had helped him out once before.

People began to move about the ship quickly, scattering around to work on their orders. The ship began to move quicker. Once he had everything done above the ship he ordered everyone under the deck. "Get Aria down below deck," he said quickly, once he finally had everyone in position. "Go to your room, lock the door and don't come out until I give you the okay." He pushed Skye toward the blonde headed fox and continued to shout orders to those still working about on the deck.

Skye nodded to Razer, then grabbed Ara's arm rushing below deck, to the room that they'd been 'loaned'. Once inside, he slammed the door shut and bolted it, pushing one of the beds in front of it for good measure. Yeah, that was probably pointless, but it made him feel better, and would give them more warning of anyone coming in.

Once that was sorted, he turned away from Aria and, not wishing to ruin the clothes he'd been given, undressed, quickly shifting into leopard form. This was better suited for combat, at least to him. He felt more comfortable fighting like this. Once fully shifted, he began pacing nervously in front of the door. He didn't like having to trust his safety with someone he didn't know, especially since that person was working for the Camps anyway...

Soon the hover craft was above the boat. Signals were given to show that they were surrendering and not wishing to fight with the camps most powerful generals, for that action alone would be death to the crew and its captain. Within minutes a glittering light beamed from the large ship until Sheela and a select few showed up before Razer and his crew. The tiger was not exactly happy to see Sheela again, but it was the least he could do for the stow-aways on his ship.

"Raz..." her voice slithered from her lips like a whip waiting to lash out. Her crimson eyes narrowed down so that she could scan his stance quickly before touching his cheek with a pale cool hand. Unlike the vampires, Sins were able to walk in the daylight, this brought some uncomforting motions from the crew who once thought otherwise of the creatures of the night. The captain on the other hand did not shy away from her touch. To the sin this was a sign of strength, something the woman had once tried to beat out of the little cub when he was first brought to her. When he escaped she promised to leave him be for a small price. The shipment of other Beasts like himself.

"Sheela..." he whispered, his voice cold and deep with hatred for the woman who dared lay her fingers on his skin. "Is there something I can help you with?" His deep blue eyes kept still on the woman, not flinching or showing weakness. If he would this would cause him more problems than he would like. "I would hate to see you come all this way for no reason," he added, making sure his voice held a bit of amusement.

"Nor I..." she mentioned, moving around him and turning her evil gaze upon the rest of the human crew. "I'm looking for two Beasts that have run away from the Camps. Your boat wouldn't happen to know anything about this, would they?" Her voice was soft, hissing much like a snake would at her prey, but no one moved. Everyone knew exactly who she had come out to see but they did not want to show sign of it unless their captain planned on ratting the two out.

"I'm afraid I have not," Razer responded, leaning against the main post in the middle of the ship.

"Don't lie now... I can taste them in the air." It was true, she felt Skye as he transformed. It was one of those rare smells that a sin had been taught to pay attention too.

"Smelling the air for a transformation, are we?" Razer smirked. "I lost it a while ago, transformed and turned back just as I saw your beautiful face coming toward my ship." Her smirked, knowing this would grab her attention. She took the bait, stepping toward him and smacking the smirk right off his lips.

"I will find them..." she snapped, turning her eyes toward the deck door, and starting toward the direction of the two.

Meanwhile, Aria watched as the leopard came to life in the room. She took that as a cue and transformed herself. Soon her hair grew around her body until she was a large beautiful artic fox with black socks. Her honey gaze was brilliant in her muzzled face as she took her stance next to the leopard. Most female foxes were well in size, but compared to the leopard to her right she was rather small. Her tail swished back and forth as her muzzle came back revealing her canines as she let low a soft growl. She was actually excited to spill the Sins blood next to her new found friend.

Deep honey-gold eyes turned to the leopard, showing only the animal in the fox. She lifted her head and growled as well, not as deep, but a grow none-the-less to show she was ready for anything. Her claws scrapped the ground a moment to see what type of footing she would have to use on the boat, whether claws were good or more padding would be needed. She voted on the more padding. Her long snout lifted in the air making her look almost like an angelic animal with all the white on her body as she sniffed the air.

Shaking out her head, she hunched down and readied her shoulders.

The Sin's attention was brought back to the door with the second change. "And you have another Beastly on board?" Sheela asked just as she started for the door. Razer was unhappy with her at that moment. He shifted before her eyes becoming a rather large black tiger with white stripes. He went for the attack, but just as he had a light wrapped around him and he was gone. "Don't think I didn't come prepared." Her voice was low and angry. When the crew just stared at her she narrowed her eyes and shouted. "Well go get them for me!" And soon the crew was all trying to squeeze through the door to grab the two Beast-Kin.

Aria narrowed her eyes just as the door was opened and saw a shocked crew staring at them. "Sorry," one of the men mouthed before they lunged after the two beasts trying to rope them up or something. Aria didn't see how this meant they were apologizing. Soon her teeth sank into a young man's arm before she totally ripped it out of his socket. She moved so quickly it would have been like watching a blur move through a crow of prey. Her long tail lashing out acting like an over-sized whip as it hit the men in the middle of their chests, but that didn't stop her. Clearly she had healed her leg quicker in this form and was able to fight. Soon there were too many men, and she as out numbered, but it did not stop her. Throat after throat she pushed through them, but just as she saw Sheela she was gone. A light engulfed her and soon she was in a cage across from the human trapped Razer.

Skye only had a few seconds to react before the men attacked them, and he turned himself over to insinct, clawing and biting anything that moved. He wasn't quick enough though, and there were too many. Soon he was overwhelmed, and dragged, snarling and clawing, up to the deck. Though it took a good half dozen of the crew to restrain him enough that he wouldn't kill anyone else. He could get a good few swipes in though, before he was brought up on deck, the men holding him down, not wishing to risk him escaping at this stage. Amazing what fear could do, to turn these men from trying to help them, to placing them back into the Sins' hands...

A new collar? That was bad...and if waht Razer said was true...then Aria was in deep trouble. As were the rest of them, if they couldn't get out. Trouble was, Skye couldn't fight as good in human form as he could in his leopard form, and at some point during his fight with the crew, the stitches across hs neck had opened, and the wound was bleeding badly.

That didn't really matter to him though, and he threw himself against the bars, "You BITCH!!", he yelled, efore he was forced back by a shock.

Aria trudged in her cell and snarled at Skye's stupidity for grabbing onto the cells and for allowing his wound to go unnoticed. The blood was actually causing the fox some problems. It actually excited her beast and made her want to grab the other around the neck and feed on him, but she forced herself to sit down and stare instead of moving toward the bars that did shockingly a lot of damage.

"Calm down," Razer snapped. "You being looney will not help your girlfriend over there..." Razer sat down in the middle of the cell trying to think of someway out of this situation. "At this rate we'll be back at the camps. And I have a sore feeling that we might be in a whole deal of trouble when we get there." Aria nodded her head in agreement.

Growling in pain and annoyance, Skye flopped down near Razer, in the middle of the cage.

They. were. Royally. Screwed.

That much was obvious. Once they were back at the Camps, being Sheela's plaything would almost be a blessing, compared to what would await them for trying to escape. Maybe, they'd just kill him? Nah, that would be too merciful. They'd want him to suffer...
Rubbing at his now severely burnt shoulder (he'd slammed his shoulder into the bars), he tried to think of something, anything, that could possibly get them out of here...

Aria laid her head down on her pause still staring at the other two in their cage before her. She was not exactly excited about being stuck in her fox form, considering that she was really good with her hands. She could have easily assisted the other two boys, but in this form she was useless. It was only a matter of time before her mind would slip and allow the beast within her to take control.

Razer sighed and fell back to his back so he was staring at the ceiling. "This sucks. I stick my neck out and end up back to the place I vowed never to return to. I don't know how I'm gonna get lucky a second time." he rolled over to look at Skye. "We would need something for a distraction, someone good with locks... which" he glanced over at the fox, "i'm sure she was the one who helped with that. And an escape route, which is probably close off now."
