She's pretty bizarre, saying weird things and doing weird things most people don't understand. She can be blunt by saying what she thinks or saying how things are. She's childish and crafty and that's what tends to get her in trouble a lot. She's destructive... a part of her deep down is dark and it tries to resurface and when it does bad things happen. Oliver
Image

Oliver quietly roamed through the neighborhood, messing around with his hair. It got to the point where the ends would start to tickle his nose, meaning he defiantly had to get it cut. Right now, the only thing he could really do is pin them back, but that only caused another problem for him. Oliver is rumored to be gay because of the clips he wears in his hair, but he really thinks those who call him such a insult are just jealous of his popularity. Of course, he didn't necessarily want the attention of the girls in his school, he just... sort of earned it the day he joined. Nothing he could really do, he just had... 'that face', I suppose you could say.

As he came home from his exploration of his new home, Oliver tried to just... flop onto the couch and relax; but that's not exactly how it went. He glanced at the small sticky note on his TV and groaned: He left a reminder stuck to it to water the garden, it was fading pretty fast.

Oliver went to work and picked up his garden hose, and started to water his small garden that consisted of a few wild flowers and weeds. He never really worked on it, just... wanted to keep it alive. As he did so, he heard a small commotion next door. He saw one of his classmates and her sibling, playing. The blonde always saw her around the school, but she never really talked to anyone. So, he should be the first to introduce himself!

"Oy!" He started, waving to his classmate. "Jennifer, isn't it? I'm Oliver, from your history class!"

Jen smiled brightly at Louise's question. "Of course there's an Art Club! There's only three members right now though. Me, Mary Anne the Brainy and Benjamin the Crazy, or so I call them anyways~ They're both really nice and I'm sure they'll like you." Jen said with a gleam in her eyes. Jennifer had loved art since she was just 3, when her mother took her to the Art Fair at the High School. The paintings, sculptures, graphite drawings, murals, everything stood out. It was as if Jen had been seeing the world from an entirely different dimension: the colors seemed to dance with each other and the pictures blended to create their own little universe. Ever since then, Jen had been painting and drawing nearly as much as a full-scale artist like her mother.

"Anyhow, I hop you'll join. Mary Anne is extremely shy and doesn't talk to Ben that much." Jen leaned in to Louise's ear to whisper. "She has a crush on him, but don't tell her I said so~" Before continuing. "So I'm sure she'd enjoy the company. She's the only person I know that I'd consider an actual friend. Our parents have been good friends since Elementary School, so we've known each other literally our entire lives. I think she can do with a friend other than me though~" Jen thought of Mary Anne's shy nature. The girl had never spoken to anyone else unless there was an absolute need, and she'd had a massive crush on Ben since Kindergarten but had never been able to speak a word to him until that year. Sometimes Jen wondered if Mary Anne would ever gather enough courage to say anything about her crush.

Jen sat next to an open window and set her bag on the floor, her guitar sliding under her desk. She looked up to watch as a tall slender woman greatly resembling Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter walk in from one of the class storage rooms. "Hey Louise, just wanna warn you before class actually starts. See, Miss Williams isn't very much in her right mind, she's kind of crazy. Usually someone from first period writes the day's assignment on the board for the other classes because the teacher'll either talk to us all class about who knows what or get so absorbed in her art that she never even bats an eye. She never really tells us what we're supposed to do. But she's nice, and she doesn't snap, which is nice." Jen said.

Sure enough, the woman was almost immediately into a long rant about the importance of rulers, and the class just went on their way. The old-fashioned chalkboard had a single word written on it: Portraits. That meant the class would be starting the year with paintings of each other. This excited Jen, she had always loved painting other people. "Louise! Do you wanna be partners for the project? You can paint me, and I'll paint you~" She said with a smile. She wanted to paint Louise because the fact of her being new meant that Jen could paint however she wanted, since she didn't know enough of the girl's personal preferences to have to be precise.

As soon as she was standing to get her supplies, Jen heard the door open behind her, and she turned to see a beautiful girl standing there. From her height she guessed the girl was a Senior, like Mason. "Hi!" Jen said, walking over. She knew that people would be staring. New students were rare, and Jen knew that if the kid made friends with the wrong crowd she would end up either bullied or tossed around as fresh meat for the guys no girl with a brain would ever date. "I'm Jen: the Eyes, Ears, and probably the most hated here. Welcome to Whidbey!" Jen laughed inwardly at her made-up title.

Louise smiled, nodding as Jen spoke.

"Louise! Do you wanna be partners? You can paint me, and I'll paint you."

"Oh, yes, Jen!" She smiled happily, and dug around in her bag for some supplies, ducking beneath the table. When she came back above the table, Jen was gone. "J-jen?" Louise looked around frantically, being the newbie. She sighed, as she set her supplies on the table, and crossed her arms. Then, she spotted her. Jen was talking to a girl in the doorway. Louise waved at them friendly, but was secretly wondering what really was going on over there.

Jen tried to help the older girl by giving her a few quick pointers on who to avoid and who to be friends with, then walked back to her desk. "Sorry, new kids will end up as meat for bullies if they don't know who to avoid." She said. "That's why I'm sticking with you~ So you don't get picked on." Jen smiled and walked to the storage room, returning moments later with two easels and other necessary supplies.

"I hope you don't mind, but I like to make my portraits a bit...fantasy. It makes everything more interesting~" Jen pulled out her iPod and searched through the tons of music to find her Instrumental Piano music. "Do you like Beethoven?" She asked, holding out an earbud to Louise.

(( I apologize again for any typos. I'm doing this from my tablet because I'm in full rp mode.))

Luna watched the girl with long black hair walk away and quickly tried to remember everything she said. It seemed use full. She hen had no idea what to do now that the girl had left back to her seat. At the front of the room stood a lady seeming to be ranting about rulers... She gazed around and noticed the students paid her no attention and came to the conclusion the woman did this a lot.
There looked to be the word portrait scribbled on the board and people in the class were facing each other while drawing so she also concluded that today they were to paint portraits of each other. She wasn't much for acrylic but she did love ink and watercolor.
She found an empty eisal and some sturdy watercolor paper and plopped herself down in a chair across from Jen and another girl.
She knew it was probably impolite to a assume she could sit with them but if she WS to be knew she had to act instead of waiting for someone to tell her what to do.
Without saying a word she smiled shyly at the two and started sketching them painting each other with a light pencil. Fully encased in capturing details so later when she went over it in pen she wouldn't have missed anything. Later she would add a few splashes of color with water color and then probably drip it so it wasn't just a boring sketch.

By the time class was almost over, Jen had finished her rough sketch of Louise. In the sketch Louise was wearing a Dumbledore style cloak and pointy Wizard hat, and in one hand she held a tall staff with a crystal at the tip, a crystal ball in her other hand. Jen was quite proud of it and was excited to be able to add the color tomorrow. "I'm going to out away the supplies, class is almost over~" Jen said, gathering all the art supplies from their table and carrying them back to the storage room. She got back just as the bell rang. "Lunchtime!" She said cheerfully. She carefully slid the sketch into her binder and started walking out towards the courtyard. "You guys can sit with me if you like, I usually eat with my brother and I think both if us need some friends~"

Jen sat down at a table that was set outdoors in the courtyard, and no one really ate out there because it was so far away from the building. Since the four grades all had the same lunch, the two siblings could eat together. Mason was already there, eating his school bought lunch that appeared to be a tamale. "Hey Mason, I made some friends and invited them to lunch!" Jen said. Mason smiled and quietly said hi. "Guys, this is my brother Mason. He's a Senior. This is Louise and...actually you never told me your name." Jen said, laughing at how she had forgotten to ask the new girl her name when they met.

Sweat. It dripped down his face and neck and plastered his hair to it. He wiped at it but continued his jog at a steady pace. His physical ed teacher was screeching his whistle at some girls who had fallen behind and Jace looked around. Some of his classmates were panting and heaving but Jace jogged on steadily. Only showing the effort by his deep breaths and dripping sweat. He jogged every day early in the morning before school and late at night before bed so his body was used to the pushing he paced himself at. He was almost as athletic as some of the jocks around school but it wasn't build he was after. A cage fighter shouldn't be bulky and buff. A cage fighter needed to be thin and quick. So he ran. He would occasionally go to the gym and lift, but never a lot. The only other sort of body exorcizing he did besides running was sit ups and his arms. Sometimes he had to slow down when he noticed he was getting a little too bulky for his taste.
Some of the jocks teased him in the locker room. Calling him lanky and twiggy, but honestly he didn't care. Their opinions were the last on his mind. He was more focused on something he was more dedicated to than other things. Cage fighting. Their was something about overpowering his opponent. He often came face to face with an overly bulky man thinking Jace was some scrawny kid... and nothing brought more joy to Jace than showing the man he wasn't powerless. Maybe it brought him so much joy because it reminded him of his step dad...
He shook his head to erase that thought. Any thought of his step dad brought a sour taste to his mouth.
He wiped at the sweat forming on his upper lip and stopped to walk a little bit.
He gazed around the PE courtyard and breathed in the fresh air. The sun was a little harsh on him today but he enjoyed the break from the harsh florescent lights inside school.
He looked back at the building and furrowed his brows. This was his last year here and honestly he would miss it. Not necessarily the people inside since most hadn't really shown any interest in getting to know him, but more the daily routine. It was nice having something to do every day, even if it was the same thing.
The art annex was the closest to him and he looked in the windows spotting students painting and laughing.
He wasn't really an artist but he had wished he'd taken the time to learn.
Actually he regretted not learning much more than writing. He wished he'd learned to play an instrument or even build something in wood workshop. He'd been so focused on the educational part of school and fighting that he'd barely even thought of the other things he could have been doing. He sighed heavily and started up a jog again. It wasn't too late. He still had this last year.
The bell rang for the end of this class and Jace headed off for the locker rooms to take a quick shower and get dressed.

Luna looked down at her sketch and smiled... it was coming along nice. She even somehow captured the scrunchy face Jen seemed to make when she was concentrated, almost the same face Luna herself makes.
"I'm going to put away the supplies, class is almost over." Jen told Luna and the other girl and then gathered up the supplies and headed towards the storage room. Luna put her pen away and slipped her sketch in her leather bound book before slipping her satchel over her shoulder.
Luna smiled awkwardly at the red haired girl and tucked her stray dark hair behind her ear when it fell into her face again. She hadn't yet gotten to ask the girl what her name was before Jen came back to the when the bell rang.
"Lunchtime!" she said cheerily and offered for Luna and the other girl to sit at lunch with her and her brother.
Luna shrugged thinking she had nothing to loose. She probably did need friends.... it would be nice if she herself had friends rather than her only having friends through her twin. And then them only being nice to her because she was the sister.
She followed the girls and studied the building as they walked through it. It was a pretty nice school she decided. Soon they were outside and Luna was pleasantly surprised to find they could eat outside. Her school did not allow people to eat anywhere but the lunch room so it was nice breathing in the fresh air after being inside for an hour or so.
Jen led them to a table that sat a boy that looked to be about Luna's age. She could tell it was her brother. They had many similar features.
Luna seated herself on on of Jen's sides and set her satchel down on the ground next to her.
"Dammit" she thought to herself. She knew she'd forgotten something. She meant to bring a small snack. She wasn't much for lunch since she usually ate a big breakfast. Her family considered breakfast to be the most important meal; something her dad adopted from the European countries he'd have business in.
"Hey Mason, I made some friends and invited them to lunch!" Jen said. Mason smiled and quietly said hi. "Guys, this is my brother Mason. He's a Senior." Jen continued. "This is Louise and...actually you never told me your name." she laughed at that and Luna smiled a little embarrassed.
"Luna. Sorry." she said with a quick laugh and picked at a piece of loose thread on her shirt.

Jace walked out into the courtyard and looked around. His hair was still slightly damp from his shower and his clothes were also damp in some places where he hadn't been able to dry off. They never got much time to shower so most everyone was half drenched as they went out to lunch. He didn't mind. It was cool against his neck.
He looked around spotting Mason and his kid sister at one of the courtyard tables. Mason was really his only friend... actually... his only friend. And even then they never hung out much. Mason invited Jace over often, but Jace usually declined. He longed to hang out with him, but a part of him refused to grow to attached to anyone.
He made his way over to the two and noticed two new heads sitting with them. As he reached the table he saw the neither were familiar. They must be the two new students. This place didn't get many new people so it was pretty rare seeing two newbies at once. One had bright red orange hair while the other had short dark hair.
He sat down at the table and pulled out his lunch which consisted of a Tuna sandwich, an apple, and a bag of chips.
Before taking a bite of his tuna he smiled a nod towards Jen, who was once again ranting about Amanda, and then a nod towards Mason who was studying the new girls.
Jace never talked anyways so his joining of the table without a word was normal to Mason and Jen.

Jen finished her rant as well as her food and looked over at her brother to realize he hadn't stopped observing Luna, nor had he touched his lunch. "Mason?" She asked, waving a hand in his face to break his gaze. She blushed and apologized quietly before waving at Jace who had decided to join the party. Jace had been a friend of Mason's for several years now, and though he never came over, the two were pretty close. In Mason's eyes, at least. Jen didn't know much about him but she knew he had a thing for fighting and did laps around the neighborhood in the morning and evening. Then Jen noticed Amanda walk by, with her group of people in tow. Great. Luckily, the blonde walked on past with only a smirk. "By the way, that blonde girl was Amanda. I hate her." Jen said.

Luna finally succeeded in tearing off the stray strand and smiled to herself. She looked up and was startled to see Jen's brother watching her so closely. She blushed slightly, not liking someone staring at her so closely and wrapped her arms a little around her midsection.
Jen must have noticed because she waved her hand in front of his face.
She looked down at her lap and then back up when she realized their was another presence at the table. A very tall boy had made himself comfortable at the table and Luna was suddenly distracted by the intricate neck tattoo almost hidden by the collar of his shirt. She wondered what it was. She only had one tattoo herself. Her and Kira had gone to get them in secret when they visited France. Her fingers itched to touch the wings inscribed into the skin on her back. She suddenly missed her twin and her face fell a little.
She looked over to Jen and noticed a grimace on her pretty face. Luna followed her eyes to see a blonde girl with an almost similar look on her face, but then the blonde smirked and Luna pinched her nose slightly.
"By the way, that blonde girl was Amanda. I hate her." Jen said. Luna nodded. It made sense. But another thought was bothering her.
"I've seen better." she spoke then and blushed a little. She continued though.
"I mean... by American standards she might be pretty... but honestly? She'd kind of bland... blonde hair? Blue eyes?" she shrugged.
"My dad works around the world and one year my family lived in France, and let me tell you..." she said then with a small smile.
"If you've never seen an angel before you can find them in France." she laughed suddenly and touched Jen's hair.
"Personally I think darker hair is a lot prettier."

Jen smiled at Luna's comment. "I'll keep that in mind. Anyways, I only hate Amanda because she's always so rude to me. It's been that way since Kindergarten. I never even did anything to her!" Jen threw her arms up in confusion, having always wondered what it was that Amanda had against her. But it didn't really matter. She had finally made friends: Oliver, Louise, and Luna. And Jace. But he was more Mason's friend then hers. And taking a look at her brother, she could tell he liked Luna, just by the way he kept sneaking glances at her when he thought no one was looking. Jen thought it was cute. Mason had never had a friend other then Jace, much less a girlfriend. He'd never even liked someone for goodness sake! But she also knew that Mason had severe trust and loss issues. Both of them did. Ever since they had lost their father, neither had really ever trusted anyone else. Jen had actually gone through a year of eating barely anything and not even coming out of her room except to eat or go to the bathroom. In that time, Mason had started self-harming. It was then that he stopped speaking to people. Now, the two were just as they used to be, on the outside. Jen hadn't made a friend until now. Not since her father's death. Mason had been friends with Jace before the accident but still weren't as close as Mason wanted them to be. But that's what it was like with them. Jen made sure to be as happy as she could so she could support her brother and keep her sister from knowing that she was actually depressed, all the time. Jen wanted Mason to fall in love with Luna, and she wanted Luna to fall in love with him. Just so Mason could have someone who could help him...

Everyone else went back to eating... or staring in some cases... except for Jen. Who seemed to be thinking about stuff. Luna rested her elbow on the table and her chin in it. She blew a strand of hair out of her face and picked at the wood at her table.
"So... when is lunch over?" she asked. Talking a bit more. She knew everyone's name here except for the tall boys so she felt a little more comfortable with them. And she'd already talked a little. She smiled to herself. She hoped this new place meant she could finally grow out of her shell. Maybe she just wasn't one for big cities. Maybe this tiny little community was what she needed.
It was then that she heard a cheery voice behind her...
"Lunaaa!"
She turned quickly to suddenly have her face pressed into her sister's boobs as she hugged her.
"I missed youuu!"
Luna laughed and hugged her back. "What are you doing here? I thought you weren't coming till next week."
"Well. I thought so too. But honestly? I missed you more than I would miss my friends." she said.
The two looked exactly identical. Down to the same hair cut and bright sky blue eyes. The only difference was that her sister had taken after her mother's brown hair as Luna had taken after her father's dark hair. And Kira was a lot more filled out than Luna's small form.
She guessed they were kind of different. When Kira laughed it was long and giggly while Luna's was short and soft.
She was just happy to have her twin back. She always felt more complete when they were together. It was weird. Her mom called it their Twinny Bond.

Jen was snapped from her thoughts as she heard a loud voice, and she turned back to everyone in time to see Luna's face disappear in the bust of another girl identical to her, but with brown hair instead of black. Twins maybe? Must be. Jen smiled and noticed Mason cringe at the sudden noise. Their house was always quiet so the girl's loud voice must have startled him. "So Luna, is this your personal doppleganger?" Jen joked. She had always liked the idea of having someone out there that looked just like you, even if you didn't know they existed. When she was 6 and Mason was 9, people thought they were twins since Jen was tall for her age and Mason was short for his. Back then they really did look like twins. And their personalities had been a lot more alike when they were kids. Now they were as different as black and white.

Kira plopped down on Luna's lap and Luna grimaced slightly at the weight on her legs but she smiled then.
She blushed a little at Jen's joke and Kira took her sister's hand in her own, playing with the small rings on her fingers.
"Sorry. This is my sister Kira... or twin if you hadn't guessed."
"Of course hunny." Kira said brightly and kissed her cheek before moving to sit on her own seat.
Sometimes Kira's cheeriness was startling. Like looking into the sun after being in a dark room for a while.
"Are these your friends?" Kira said again curiously looking around at everyone. Pausing a little on Mason and then ending on Louise.

Jace quietly ate his lunch as the others all conversed and eventually he found himself spacing out. He would have talked a little with Mason but he seemed completely infatuated with the pretty dark haired girl that seemed to be one of Jen's new friends. He'd never seen Mason have a crush before and it was kind of nice. The boy needed to converse with others besides Jace and his sister... but who was he to talk? He did the same. He studied the girl himself. She looked down a lot. His mother did the same...
He stopped chewing and set down his bag of chips he'd been eating feeling suddenly full.
He looked away and watched the others that were eating outside. There were few.
It wasn't till a cheery voice screamed a name that he was brought back to the presence. He looked over to see the girl hug, who's name he just found out, Luna. He was a little taken back by their identical look but they soon explained that they were twins. Kira was a little too cheery for him at the moment but he didn't move to leave.

Louise didn't really know what had happened. She had to take a step back, and shake her head, and looked around her. New faces? She didn't care much for meeting new people, so she stayed behind the one she knew, Jen. "J-jen.." She whispered quietly, acting shy, and holding her sketch pad, a book bag on her back, with her other books inside of it. Louise tugged at Jen's arm shyly, and bit her lip nervously. Where was Oliver? She knew him. She guessed she kinda knew the other girl, Luna?

Louise sat next to Jen, and looked down at her sketch pad, occasionally glancing around the room. Then, a spot underneath a tree nearby. She quickly stood, and walked over, leaning her back against the tree. The wind blew through her red hair, and she loved the feeling. Louise knew she probably made the wrong decision, straying away from the group, but they were all new faces, and she felt uncomfortable.

She looked down as she doodled a couple, hugging. She sighed, thinking of Oliver, and quickly shook her head, holding the pad to her chest.

Luna and her twin started up a conversation, Jace and Mason both stayed quiet, and Jen finally noticed that Louise was absent from the group. She spotted the shy redhead drawing under a tree a little ways away. Jen stood and walked over to her, smiling. "What're you drawing? Sorry I didn't you leave, I tend to get really caught up in my thoughts sometimes. Will you forgive me?" Jen asked. She'd always had an issue with spacing out. When she'd think about something that mattered to her, she would get lost in thought, and more often then not she would be brought back to reality by the bell just in time to get scolded for not doing anything all period.
