Image

Full Name: Mirum Rose Glis
Role: Dormouse

Age: 17 but she doesn't remember how old she really is

Gender: Female

Personality: She comes off shy, rather quiet but once you get to know her, she is a courageous and outspoken young woman. She doesn't trust many people, having gone through her fair share of torment but would love to see a smile on your face. At first, you may think she is weak but do not call her that. There is a reason why she has a sword and able to handle more than twenty men at once. She is sweet, honest and kind but has somewhat of a low self-esteem due to several factors. She can never tell a lie, she refuses to which makes it hard to keep secrets if someone asks her.

Hair Colour: Pink

Eye Colour: Blue but they come off green at certain lighting

Quirks: (if any)
● She'll apologize about even the slightest of wrong, even if she didn't do it
● She likes to sleep in the most odd times and places
● Believe it or not, she has a crush on The Mad Hatter but refuses to say anything

Appearance Description: She is of average height, not taller than 5'6 and her pink hair falls until her knees. She is incredibly pale with very nice blue eyes that look green from certain angles and lighting. She tends to go barefoot because she likes the feeling of dirt and grass under her toes.

Quotes: "I'm terribly sorry but the tree felt so nice,"

● Tea
● Swords
● Sleep
● Dancing
● Mad Hatter

Dislikes:
● Cats

Powers: Dormouse has the ability to control a person's mental stability and consciousness. She can make you fall asleep with a blink of an eye or think everyone is trying to kill you with a wave of her hand. She doesn't use it much because she'd rather use a sword.

Contractor:

Weapons/ Things They Are Carrying: A long sword which she brings everywhere and has a healing potion sewn in her pockets. She also has a white mask on the side of her head. It has some blood on it as she uses it as a helmet of sorts.

Back Story: : Her story is unknown, she can barely remember her life before. But she has known The Mad Hatter as long as she could remember, joining him and gaining a small crush.

So begins...

Dormouse

"Hyah!" a young girl with long locks of incredibly ludicrous pink hair lunged her sword forward. She played with the tree in front of her, hacking and slashing it with her Sabre until the tree fell backwards. She didn't even break a sweat. Her pale blue eyes shifted around Lake Lacie, a good place to keep calm. Her mask was over her face, covering that timid look she had always had on her, even in battle.

It was quiet, only the sound of the current moving about was constant. Maybe a ruffle of the wind and some insects, but everything else was calm. Or at least that was what she thought.

White Rabbit

Rabbit groaned in frustration. He had spent approximately 10 minutes running around the most common areas of Wonderland but, to no prevail, catch a single Chain. It's as if they had all moved into hibernation or something, he stifled a chuckle as he realised he was describing the Chains as woodland animals. This was somewhat ironic because the White Rabbit was, well, a rabbit. He travelled slowly back towards the Palace. He hopped to the edge of Lake Lacie and gazed over it oppressively, Rabbit's eyes widened slightly as she saw the distinct shade of pink from a distance. It galloped behind a girl's body who was wielding a large sword in hand. Intrigue faded into relief as her identity hit him in the face.
Why... Yes.. If - Then she must... She must be Dormouse!
He bounded happily to the large grassy area where the pink-haired girl was training and stopped abruptly as he let the wind rush towards him and enfold his entirety.
"My dear, you don't know how happy I am that I've found you," Said Rabbit cheerfully, warily eyeing the long blade in her hands, "The majority of the Chains are in hiding, it seems."

Rabbit, once again, glanced at his pocket watch. He nodded dutifully, realising that he had more than enough time before he should return to the Palace. He mulled over the thought of doing a verification for anyone-else in Wonderland before reverting his attention back to Dormouse.
"Queen proposes a game of some sorts," Said Rabbit with a tone that hinted formality," I have no information on the subject so I have told the rest of the Chains - that I managed to find - to go to the Palace and ask the Queen herself. Most of them should be there by now, so you'll be in good company."

The boy then crouched onto the floor and transformed into a rabbit. He stood on his hind legs, the golden pocket watch placed in his white paw.
"I shall a do a quick double-check before going to the Palace myself," Squeaked the rabbit," Until then, au revoir."
He then dropped onto all four of his paws before padding away quickly, his furry feet making no sound or mark on the dirt and grass; As if he had never been there.

With a leaf over her eyes the March Hare laid on a high branch sound asleep. It was roughly midday and she was not ready to see it. Her mind was at rest and everything was silent. She was able to think about the things she cared about. Or at least, she was, she heard the sound of voices beneath her and slowly turned her head so that the leaf would fall away from her face. She looked down at two of her friends as the thoughts started to flood her head. She was not ready for the thoughts. She never was. She rolled out of the tree and landed on the ground in a crouch. “It's too early!” She shouted before falling onto her bum and lifting her hat to reveal a cup of tea. “Just a spot... that's all a young hopper needs,” She spoke as fingerless gloved hands grasped the handle of the cup. She sniffed it for a moment before looking at the tiny drop of tea in the bottom of the cup. “A hopper could ask for more...” She frowned as she watched the cup fill, “Mmm... perfect,” She took only a sip before dumping the rest onto the forest floor.

“Oh!” She turned to her friends, “Dormy, Rabbit, what are the two of you up too?” She skipped over to the White Rabbit and touched his ears lightly knowing all too well how sensitive his ears were. “Hm...” She flipped over his short form and fell onto her back so that she was looking up at him, “It would appear that you, my friend are...” She pulled out her pocket watch and stared at it as it ticked counter clockwise, “Late,” She looked up with a serious expression, “very late, in fact,” She got to her feet and dusted herself off keeping her back to him, “I'm betting that you're up to something!” The madness quickly returned to her voice. “What has Red put you up too?! She want's my hat doesn't she?” She took a tight unbreakable hold of her top hat, “Well, we'll not be having any of that!” She quickly turned and ducked behind the nearest tree.

“Dormy! You'd better watch your back with this one!” She called to her friend, “He may be tiny and adorable but he is a vicious killer I assure you!” She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face as she taunted the rabbit. She didn't wait for Dormy and quickly ran to the Lake's edge and stared down at a fish finding herself quickly distracted. Her mind began to swim with anything and everything. The thoughts, words, and faces, swimming around slowly in her head making circles and swirls. She sat down and hugged her knees as she tried to calm the thoughts down, to organize them and make them make some sense in this senseless world.

She moved her hand under her hat and pulled out her empty tea cup. “Just a bit more then a spot...” She mumbled as it filled half way. She slowly sipped it down and turned her attention to the sky. “Where's Hatter? We're in desperate need of a tea party.” She snapped as she began to look around for one of the first people she befriended. She lifted rocks and searched behind trees. “It's his unbirthday too,” She pouted as looked around, “You help too Dormy. Rabbit!” She barked.

White Rabbit

Rabbit narrowed his eyes as he saw the Hare striding closer to them. Oh dear, it's Mad March. He thought sourly.
When the girl touched his ears, he did a quick step backwards and pursed his lips as tightly as possible; fighting over the temptation to burst into an angry rant. His body convulsed with the effort and it took all of him to choke out his reply, "Nice to s-see you again, March..." Said Rabbit through gritted teeth, "Haven't I told you to stop-touching-my-ears?"
The small albino spat out the last words and glared at the Hare once more, unimpressed by her theatrical movements; he had grown used to it years ago and knew it only wasted time. He snatched the golden pocket watch from the Hare's grasp and slipped it back into one of the pockets in his shorts. The Hare and the Rabbit were close in species - as most would understand - but even so, they were probably the most contrasting pair you would ever lay your eyes on. March's outlandish (Or should I say Wonderland-ish?) behaviour made it difficult to find anything common between them. Each of her steps were unpredictable, every motion emphasized dramatically. Rabbit couldn't get around how her brain ticked and this what irritated him the most; this kind of demeanour always led to trouble.

"Please don't joke about that, being late isn't something to joke about," Hissed Rabbit, "I am not up to anything, madam. And please don't call her Majesty, Red. She wouldn't approve."
He shook his head, clearly annoyed and watched as the girl quickly leapt behind a tree and then moved closer to the lake, her mind already elsewhere. Rabbit glanced at Dormouse for a brief second, just to show how peeved off he was.
"I'm more than certain that your hat is the last thing the Queen would want," He shouted bluntly, trying to grab the strange girl's attention,"Now do stop playing around, Hare. I've already given the message to Dormouse so now it's your turn."
He breathed out exasperated, before continuing.
"I've grown impatient, so I'll make this quick," Said Rabbit hurriedly, "Queen invites you to this new game and wishes to see your presence at the Palace, immediately."
The boy padded quietly to the girl's side, just as reassurance to know that he was being heard.
"There will be tea," Whispered Rabbit into her ear, before trotting back to his original position.

"Now, I don't believe that there are any other recipients," Muttered Rabbit, and gazed up at the sky, "So I shall just tag along with the both of you, yes?"
He understood that the Mad Hare wasn't exactly the best of company, but he figured that it wouldn't do him well if he was the last to know about this game. Rabbit shook his head once more before looking at each of the individuals expectantly.

Just what is the Queen planning?

Mad March whirled around when the rabbit stood over her taking in what he was saying and deciding if it was a trap or not. Knowing the Queen it most certainly was but she knew that White was a good rabbit and that he wouldn't try to hurt anyone intentionally... unless they made him late perhaps. “A game?” her ears perked some as she eyed him. The next thing that spilled out of his mouth had her to her feet in an instant, “Tea? Well, why didn't you say so?” She was grinning from ear to ear as she walked over to Rabbit.

“Well, then, enough talking let's go.” She said with a wave of the hand. “Lead the way now, don't just stand there.” She placed her hands on her hips as she waited for him. “Any idea what this game is about?” She asked as the thoughts flowed through her head of children playing on play grounds or talking to the flowers. Her head tilted a bit as she thought of whatever the Red Queen had in mind hoping that it would be something fun. Her tail twitched a bit and she began to skip towards any direction assuming that the white rabbit would correct her if she was headed the wrong way.

“Do we get a prize if we win?” She asked as she thought about it more. She was a formidable opponent and was very determined when playing games of all sorts. Hopefully the rules weren't too binding but knowing the Queen they just might be.

White Rabbit

The White Rabbit didn't bother to look behind him, he knew the Hare and Dormouse would follow him once he got the pace going. The albino jerked out his pocket watch and looked at it stricken. If he didn't speed up, he might just be late.

Oh dear, oh dear...

"Do hurry up, March!" Shouted Rabbit, his head turned towards his shoulder, "What will the Queen say when she sees that we're.. well, we're... late!"
He shuddered when he said the last word, dread sank into his petite being and the twisting sensation returned to the pit of his stomach. The Palace was only a few metres away, it was in the middle of Lake Lacie, but every minute walking felt like an eternity. Without a moment's warning, picked up his feet and ran towards their destination. Wind tangled about his limbs as the boy somersaulted in the air and landed back down on the earth; white fur had sprouted all over the surface of his extended ears and body, which was only about 30 centimetres long. He bounded towards the entrance of the Palace, transformed back and waited patiently for the Hare to catch up.

Once she did, Rabbit pushed open the large double doors and waved a hand towards one of the black butterflies that were fluttering all around the entrance hall.

"Where is the Queen and the Chains?"
"In the Tea Garden."
"Thank you, Kuro."

Once the quick conversation finished, Rabbit strided hastily in the direction of the desired room. The boy did not have any need for the butterfly's instructions, he knew the Palace of Hearts from the back of his hand. However, the one thing they he couldn't recall being on the back of his hand was the large square of white that seemed to be cutting out a chunk from one of the Tea Garden's dainty white walls. Light spilled from the image and poured into the room, making the room look that much brighter. Rabbit peered into the square and realised that several people had already settled themselves inside the strange room, this included a few chains who were already conversing with the others, they were strangers he had never seen before. If they were residents of Wonderland, Rabbit would've identified them almost immediately; There were no walls or ceiling to speak of. The albino's wide-eyed stare then turned back to the Queen who had still seated herself in the Tea Garden.

"Wha- What..?" Stammered Rabbit, and then glanced back towards the strange area.

Tea P̳̖͊ͦ͒̋ͬ̆A̝͆̓̐̓ͩ̀ͦ͒ͨ́Ȓ̸̴̜̭̙̱͎̱̏̊͋̓̎Ț̪͇͔̯͎̰͙͓̽ͣͫ̚̚͜Y̫̰͍̥̲̩̽̑̎̒

Hatter, Doormouse and March Hare had all returned to their domain after the meeting, seeking to resume the endless party, after all..it WAS someone's Unbirthday SOMEWHERE. The three chains were so engrossed in swapping seats, pouring tea and eating plates rather than the cookies that lay scattered about, that then never even noticed the sky growing darker. The wind growing colder. It wasn't until the tea turned black and oily that they blinked and looked about. And by then it was far too late.

The first to fall was March Hare, her back had been to the forest, so as the bone-lance spears out through her chest in a red spray it coats the table. Before the others can do more than gasp the bone changes, the protruding end opening like a deranged flower, and Hare is yanked backwards into the woods. Her gasping screams cut short with a wet tearing sound. Hatter blinks, absently pouring tea into an overflowing cup. The whole thing had been over in seconds. The wet sounds continue for a moment, then stop..leaving the forest mute.

Realizing the pouring error, Hatter allows another cup to pour from the pot, and catch the flowing tea before calling out, "Hare? Your tea is getting hot, or cold. One can never be sure of these things." he pauses, and shakes the pot, allowing two cubes of sugar, a spoon and a bit of milk to all plop out into the cup. "Honestly, if you were going to go for a walk you could have cleaned up after yourself.."

Hatter was mad. That was not in question.

The mouse was awake. That much was suspiring. She looked wide eyed from the sprayed blood over to Hatter, a twitch ticking just under the skin below her left eye. "We must flee! Hatter, whatever that was it just killed Mad March!" she stands, drawing her sword and moving to defend her loony friend.

Hatter just sighs, abandoning the prepared cup, in favor of a plate of cake. "You are rather excitable today. What ever is the reason it can wait, March will be along shortly, she just had to hop off. Get it? Hop. Oh my." he chuckles some, lifting the cake, only to somehow drink tea from it like a cup. "I do crack myself up."

During the brief exchange the wet sounds returned, only softer..and coming closer. Doormouse, realizing Hatter was not even paying attention moves towards the sound, blade held ready. As the figure moves from the trees she lunges forward..only to stop short- almost running March through, "Oh my goodness! March! Are you-"

She stops, as the light reveals Mad March fully; the gaping hole where the bone impaled her now stuffed with a strange black goo, it beat like a heart- because that was what it was now. Jabberwocky liked to make it so it's hosts were dependent on it for life. Separation would mean Mad March had no heart...and death would be quickly upon her. Other damage shows in ripping wounds along the Hare's face- a mock grin made from exposed bone in the skull. She was quite changed from her usual self, now a shambling monster of black fangs and exposed bone talons.

Doormouse realizes to late her mistake in hesitating, only to have two objects ram into her from behind- coming neatly out through her eye sockets...darkness and pain are all she feels as the mist seeps in. In moments she too is enslaved. Her eyes now black masses of ooze, the balls themselves transplanted into the palms of her hands. Pink hair falls out in clumps, taking skin with it..she is soon just as deformed and monstrous as the rest of Jabberwocky's minions.

Mad Hatter sips his tea, blinking at the scene before him. In a way he knows they are gone from him, but his mind just can't handle something so...unhappy. He sighs, then, as a new figure enters the clearing- the other two backing away and kneeling. This new figure, one Hatter can remember slightly, simply takes a seat and pours itself a cup of tea. "So, it's that time already?" he asks, feeling a cold chill.

"Yes. Lets get going then. Your tea is getting C̢̗̼̝̼ͩ̓͂̆͑ͪͨ̽O̢̢̙̭̪̣͚͓̺̓͌̀ͯ͂ͥͤL̶͕̻͎͙̗͌̓͋ͫͫͪͥͤD̦̪̭̗̳̻̙̫̅̓̄ͥ̎̊ͧ͞." the figure nods, and slides the cup over. It's contents bubble and swirl, blackness with a faint haze of mist. Hatter sighs, and lifts the cup to his lips, and drinks.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jabberwocky stands, the tea party over. With a nod it collects it's three newest additions and leaves the clearing...it's taint already turning the table black, rotting the wood. Cups crack. A tea pot crumbles. The grass dies in a large circle expanding from where the beast had sat. The Endless Tea Party was over.

Bacon? MMm.

While the three beasts guarded it's pit, the three newest Chains were sent on an errand. Hatter and March were to wander- spreading the taint of Jabberwocky in their wake, infecting new realms and finding more Chains. Doormouse however had instructions of her own; she was to head towards the realm of pepper and pigs, Duchess' home. She would not go alone, with her strode minions of the two conquered realms- Spiderlike tea pots that dribbled steaming ooze from their spouts, large bear-beasts from the forests and a horde of smaller creatures. She lead a small army. Sword at her side she marched, the beings forming ranks behind her.

Jabberwocky itself would resume it's search for that cat; images and memories filled in gaps from the three newest Chains- they told a story of a mushroom land, secret houses that vanished from sight and singing-biting flowers. While none of the three knew EXACTLY where the home of Caterpillar was, they did know in a vague way where it was located. Gina had seen the Cat with the Green haired man, and Jabberwocky had a feeling Absolem may know where Cheshire had gone. Mentally praising the girl for noticing details, ones the beast was too busy to see, Jabberwocky sets off in the direction of the Mushrooms.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Hatter had changed since drinking the black tea; his gut had rotted right out, as if the stomach had filled with acid and burst. Deep inside his head he knew that it should hurt, but the Jabberwocky had taken away such concerns. Instead he found himself more and more thirsty- but no matter what he drank it just poured right back out through the hole. "This is just unacceptable. Nope. Just won't do." he mutters, trying in vain to hold a hand over the gaping wound as he drank straight from a pot; needless to say he failed, the liquid just running out through gaps. "How is a man supposed to enjoy his tea, when it just falls right back out again?"

March, who had been toying with the pulsing black filled hole in her chest shrugged and paused in her stride "Least you have a heart. I have this...ooze beating away in my chest. This was a nice jacket too." She shook her head, the voice of the monster urging her onward- the fresh Chains still had free-will to a degree, but Jabberwocky controlled how alive they stayed. Should it tire of them it could simply turn them into puppets. "We should never have invited that thing."

Hatter blinks and looks over at his traveling companion "That is most true. It will be removed from tomorrows guest list."

Some things don't change- Madness is one of them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doormouse didn't like her new eyes, they itched. Her old ones kinda worked still, but it was hard to see when she used them- being in her palms and all. The new ones were black, made from the Jabberwocky's own essence- they let her see not only from her point of view but from any of the monstrous horde she walked with. Unnerving, but interesting. She had initially hoped to go with Hatter on his easy walking mission, but the beast's voice in her head had other plans. SHe was to lead an army on Duchess' home.

Already the beast had filled her in on her army's abilities; the Pots would act as artillery- lobbing balls of steaming ooze down onto the area, while the smaller creatures would act as infantry and rush in to strike. The bears were her personally vanguard- heavy hitters that would wade into the thick of things to deal massive damage. She could either sit back or join the fray- Jabberwocky had left that upto her. "Duchess never did me wrong, but never did me good either." she yawns, looking about for familiar landmarks. It would be a long walk, she was already sleepy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why do you wanna hurt everybody?" Gina asked the doll, sitting on her little beach. She had joined willingly with the monster, and had since been treated good. She saw some of what happened and heard most, but the beast's mind remained locked from her.

"I just want to go H͈̜̼͒ͫ́͆ͦ͒̀O̔҉̥̥̥̘̥͓̳͍M̼͔̟̏̀͂ͨ͌̑͞Ë́͏͕͙̹͉̦́." it replied, oozing through her fingers to pool on the sand like melted ice cream. "This world is not mine, it belongs to a S̸̶͔̪̩͎̔ͫP̜̞͕̮͖̦̭̀͐͗ͦͦ́͡Õ̱͚̘̥̟̲̠̬̗ͮ̈̀͜I͍̲̞͙̝̺̠̝̍̐̅̎́͘͢ͅL̢̙͔̘̙͇̻̮̳͋̇̈́͘͞E̸͔̝͔͚̺̣̐̈́̐Ḍ̛̻͙̪̳̝̺͎̑͊̎͐͆͂̅͟ ̵̘̟̪̥͚͍̙ͣ̊̍̂̅͆̚B͉͙̬͖̺̟̜͙̭̂̀R̝̰ͧ̀͑̅͗̊͐͡A̪͕̣͎̟̍T̳̙̝̝̮̼̤̬̙̍͗̍͡. It's voice was so odd, never the same- like it was made of thousands of people.

"I wanna go home too. I'll help you, so we can both go home." she smiled at the goo, as it reformed into her dolls again.

Siege

Doormouse launched her strike- From the woods would come a hiss...then a rapid 'pop'ing- as hundreds of objects sail into the air...and down in an arc onto Duchess' home. Where they impacted the wood would crack, and splinter as the balls of black goo had been pressurized by the Spiderpots. The balls would then melt back into gel, and seek entry. There were those that missed, impacting in the surrounding yard- taking out pigs and lawn decoration in the process. The Spiderpots pause the strike, reloading. In the pause Doormouse calls from the thick woods-

"Duchess, it's time to come out and give up. If you do, no harm will come to you or those within- we only want to M̨̋̈́͊ͯ̑̀̍ͧ̏҉̵̹̙̖̳̘̠̲A̭͎̼̱̰͇͓͔̾ͦͩ̔̒͑ͧͦ̚͜K̝̜͈̜̑̄ͧͬ͢͝E̖̥͕̦̪͎̘͓̱͐͂͘ ̶̱̰̜̄̍Ư̸̤̱̗̭̬̼̑ͭ̿ͨͫͧͤS̪̩̲̝ͧ̈̀ ̩̼̩̼̗͕͙͈̂ͩẆ̡̻̠͐̃͊̆͛͌͂͡Ḣͫ҉̻͚̜̩̤̲Ȯ̶̻̳͔͚͔͖͖̜͙ͥ̀͞L̨̜̳͑̓̒͟Eͪ̊͊̅͂ͦ͏̴̛̣̹͕̖̞̺̳̘!" the voice ends with splitting laughter, the sound cracking into multiple voices. Jabberwocky was having fun.

The next salvo comes just as the first- slamming into the home, cracking and splintering the roof. The goo-balls would drip their way into the building quickly, or the roof would simply give out. Either way, should Duchess and her girl remain inside they were doomed.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Doormouse sneezed, due to her hyper sensitive senses she could not come any closer to the house- the pepper was too much. She was using the eyes of several mutated squirrels- perched on branches facing the besieged home. Through them she watched the rain of balls, and recalculated the aim for the Spiderpots. The weapons were Hatter's design- meant to fire tea into part guest's mouths as they made their way TO the party "So no one has to wait to be served."

She sighed, thinking of Hatter; alone with March...that loon. She hated March so much, thinking that the Hare was trying to make the moves on Hatter- of whom Doormouse was in love. The simple fact that Jabberwocky had paired the two of them up, while sending her to this terribly peppery place was just wrong. But the voice in her head sent such thoughts away- instead filling her with the idea that it was DUCHESS who wanted Hatter...that she had him locked in that house of hers right now!

"You let my man go now!" she screamed, signaling the next wave of the attack- the bears.

Monstrous in size, the bears had been mutating since Jabberwocky first took them- changing them into thick hided monsters of fury. The massive beasts were further aided by a Spiderpot clinging to each one's back- creating an organic tank. The fur was gone, as was the skin, replaced by a thick layer of chitin; like that of a bug. Massive claws stab out from the paws, while elongated jaws are tightly packed by several rows of teeth- all sharp and twisted.

Twenty of them ran from the forest...towards the home, while a third strike came overhead from the Spiderpots left in reserve.

But was Duchess even home?

Isaiah "Grey" Gris

Grey looked at Absolem and Cheshire, blinking calmly. They were both angry or upset with him but he was sure that it was just because they were stressed out.

"I know it's a possibility," he said, "That's why it was so scary. The reason I freaked out is because you were all dead and I obviously hadn't been able to help any of you. Being unable to help has always been my worst nightmare."

The last few words brought a frown to his face. Was that true? He didn't remember for sure but he was positive that this was true.

"You're probably right," sighed Grey as Absolem taunted him about his weight, "I guess I'm too puny to subdue you."

Absolem seemed to be acting a little colder than before but at least he had taken the bait and was making witty remarks again and he had said that he'd rest too so that was good, that had been the point all along.

"I don't think Rhia or Cheshire are going anywhere," said Grey when Absolem brought up bedrooms, "The couches are really comfortable so I'm quite happy to have a girly sleep over."

Rubbing his eyes he grabbed a cushion and curled up around it, staring at Absolem. He didn't have any intention of going to sleep untill he saw Absolem lie down and rest first.

Destra/Tweedle Dum

"Um...trouble," said Destra when Moonlight asked about the note, "Big trouble."

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to go see the Duchess and find out how much she knew, at the very least it would give Moonlight someone to meet and he was sure that the Duchess would love a visitor.

"Lets go for a walk, you can meet our...friend," he said with an uncertain glance towards Sinistra, "The Duchess, I bet she'd love to meet you."

Signalling to follow him he set off for the Duchess's house.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee

Taking Moonlight's hand he began to follow his brother. Having to find out about the Jabberwocky in a note from the Duchess was disturbing, how had they not been able to sense that something that dangerous was once again free. The simple fact was, as usually both he and his brother had been too wrapped up in their quarrel to notice much of anything, it was amazing that he still noticed Moonlight was there.

"You'll have to remember to be very polite when around the Duchess," he said to Moonlight, "But I'm sure that won't be a problem for you. I warn you now, the Duchess is very..."

His voice cut off as the drew within sight of the Duchess's home. The were splinters and black goo everywhere, lying around the yard were the bodies of seceral pigs and momeraths.

"Oh no," he whispered fearfully as a new volley of black blobs were launched at the house, "It's here."

He could only hope that the Duchess had gotten away.

Duchess Sophie

She smiled at Belca as the girl signed the book before it vanished with a bell like sound.

"Thank you very much Belca," she said, "I promise you can rely on me."

The next moment she was running to the window as a group of pigs and momeraths rushed inside squealing. There could only be one reason for it. Danger. She sighed as the first volley struck. As was to be expected it was the jabberwocky...or it's minions anyway.

"I beg your pardon?" questioned the Duchess as a voice requested she let their man go, "Oh dear, with that voice it could only be Dormouse. What has that disgusting disease done to you?"

On the outside she appeared calm but inside she was falling apart. She knew what she had to do in order to escape but she didn't want to, the thought was just too sad to even properly think through. Gazing out the window pensively she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was the Cook, his eyes full of sorrow.

"I can't ask you to do that," she said, taking hold of his hand, "I don't want to do it."

The Cook said nothing, he just continued to stare at her with his sorrow filled gaze. She knew that he wasn't going to back down. Reluctantly she knelt on the ground and gathered all the pigs and momeraths around her in a tight circle where she closed her eyes and began to focus. A glow surrounded the group and when it faded she was surrounded by a group of boys and girls with green or pink hair, each was armed with a weapon of some sort.

"You all know what you have to do," she said, looking at the Cook, "I'm sorry that it has to be this way. Give it your all."

Silently nodding, the boys and girls rushed out the front door towards the infected army.

"Come with me Belca," she said, grabbing the girl's hand and dragging her son along, "We have to leave."

As she left she turned to look at the Cook one last time, he was setting the house on fire. It wouldn't do to let the Jabberwocky ransack the place. With a weak smile she hurried out the conservatory door, heading for one of the forest covered hills that surrounded her home. Soon she saw the red hair of the twins, they were standing on the hill with someone else. She didn't greet the twins as she walked up to them, instead turning to look at the scene before her silently with tears cascading from her eyes. Her home was burning, all the stories she had spent so long writing were going up in flames, the pigs and momeraths she had raised and nursed back to health were probably all going to die but at least they wouldn't get tainted like the Cook would, as soon as they were killed or her projection wore off then they would fade away, it was just the way things had always been. She watched them as they fought fiercely to give her enough time to run away. As the Cook ran into the fray shouting pepper she turned away with an audible cry and began to run, trying to put as much distance between herself and her burning home as possible.

Clash

The forces met with a roar of savagery- the bears easily shredding the children, weapons or not..they were just no threat. Within moments of bursting from the door the yard would be littered with shredded limbs and gore. During the battle a continuous bombardment from the Spiderpots would rain gobs of the black ooze down- smashing into and through the pigchildren, while pelting the house..breaking through the roof. While the Cook was busy setting fires the ooze would be smothering out the flames. Doormouse simply watched the battle, her minions acting as eyes. A single squirrel caught sight of the Duchess and others fleeing, "After them!" she shrieked...only to notice the Cook emerge from the building bellowing 'pepper'.

The Jabberwocky thought the Cook would make a fine addition- and sent the bears. Doormouse was ordered to give chase, not to let the Duchess escape. He had plans for her. Taking half the forces with her she tears off, after the fleeing group.

The bears would attack in groups, Jabberwocky knowing that the Cook would tire long before the massive beasts did. A shelling from the Spiderpots would help speed things up as well- as six gobs of ooze are launched at the Cook from atop the bear's backs. One beast strikes while the blobs sail through the air- moving to swipe at the Cook from the side; long claws flashing. All it would take is one good cut to end the brawl- just deep enough to let the essence into Cook's body. The talons on the bears acted as hypodermic needles, both penetrating the flesh of their victims and injecting the plague.

Cook had to react fast to avoid both strikes, while making sure to keep guarded- lest a dodge turn into an opening. Soon the dance would tire out Cook, the bears taking turns swiping and shooting at the Chain. A mistake would come, sooner or later...then Jabberwocky would have a new toy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spiderpots fired in busts at the fleeing figures, as the horde of smaller creatures dashes after- Doormouse mixed into the pack with her sword held high, screeching into the sky with rage. The mass of creatures would not tire, driven as they were by the Jabberwocky's essence..they would just keep chasing the Duchess and her group until they caught them, or were stopped. Doormouse felt in her mind a driving force, something screaming for blood..

Mr.Tibbs was on his way as well.. Jabberwocky had unleashed the dog-creature shortly after learning of the fleeing Duchess- though far away...the monster would close quickly. Soon Duchess would be running from something far worse than a mouse. Tibbs was a growing boy.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jabberwocky itself was moving towards the domain of Caterpillar; the location of the mushroom patch known by the Chains he had taken- but not the exact locale of the worm's home. 'No matter, I will simply B̹̞͖̣͕̥̩͎̔ͫ̑̑̍ͬ͘̕Ų͉̣̩͙͕ͭ͐͘ͅR̰̪̟̝͗̽ͬNͥ̿͋ͪ̒҉̫͙̼̬̀͞ them out.' the beast thought, clutching it's bone-spear. The pace was slower with the lack of it's mount, but the being would manage- Duchess' capture was more important than moving swiftly. Plus, it was nice to feel the ground below it's feet again- feel it corrupt with every touch, spreading in waves from Jabberwocky's passing; like a boat passing though water will trail a wake..so too did Jabberwocky. Only this wave was one of filth and rot. Soon the mushroom zone would be tainted like the forest. Soon the beast would arrive and unleash it's pent fury on that cat.

Isaiah "Grey" Gris

"The cards are stacked against me are they?" thought Grey to himself as he watched Absolem settle down.

He was pretty sure that there was a card called Strength in his deck but then again, he had know way of knowing how that would manifest itself or if he'd even be able to do the same thing as with the staff.

"Goodnight Absolem," he whispered, wathcing the man fall asleep.

It was odd, Absolem's face seemed so much softer when he was asleep, it was almost like he wore a mask when he was awake but didn't have to hide his true self from his dreams.

"How very enigmatic of you," thought Grey, "I guess you're a puzzle that doesn't want to be solved."

Patiently he listened to the soud of everyone around him breathing, lost in the worlds inside their dreams. He knew he should sleep too but he had an uneasy feeling, the same one he'd felt before the Jabberwocky had attacked earlier. Quietly he began to hum to himself, shuffling his tarot cards, he had almost completed shuffling when two cards fell out. He fell silent as he looked on them, their meanings slowly coming back to him. The first one was the Devil, it seemed to fit in with his feeling of unease because he remembered it as a sign of violence and ruin among other things, of course that was probably because he would soon be fighting for his life against Rhia and others like her. The second card he found a little more confusing though. It was the Lovers, gazing upon the picture its mean rose to the front of his thoughts, the Lovers could symbolize a close partner but also betrayal. Looking over at Aboslem's sleeping form with sad eyes and then back to the card he hastilly put it away. Absolem would never betray him, the card had been pure coincidence and he'd let it feed his paranoia, that was all. With a final glance at the deck of cards he curled up around his cushion again before shuffling closer to Absolem where he fell asleep.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee

Sinistra glanced appologetically at Moonlight before leading her after the Duchess. Introductions and explainations could wait until later but right now they had to move. As it was they were probably going to have to fight to get away.

"Looks like we might have a fight on our hands," he said to Moonlight, "Just remember to keep a strong will about you, stay back from the combat if you can and if you see an opportunity to run, take it."

Running to catch up to the Duchess he drew up beside the silver haired girl next to her.

"Not exactly the best time to make your aquaintence but we might not have another chance," he said, tipping his hat to her, "I'm Sinistra and he's Destra."

With a quick look behind him he saw a swarm of infected animals in the distance giving chase, they were going to catch up soon and then they would be in real trouble.

Destra/Tweedle Dum

"Contrarywise I'm Destra and he's Sinistra," he said, coming up on the girl's other side, "And this is Moonlight, who might you be."

Sinistra had hold of Moonlight's hand and the silver haired girl was being pulled along by the Duchess so he grabbed the hand of the Duchess's son, giving him a quick smile.

"I hate to rain on the parade but we're going to have some unwanted company very soon," said Destra, looking at the Duchess.

The woman who was usually so loud and dramatic was being oddly silent, she seemed broken.

"Sophie, we need to do something," he said squeezing her free hand.

But there was no response, the only thing that she seemed to have on her mind was moving forward. Glancing back at the advancing army and then at his brother he nodded grimly. They would have to face their greatest fear to buy them all some more time to get away.

"Moonlight, we need you to stay with the Duchess ok?" he said quickly, "Sinistra and I are going to stay behind for a moment and then we'll come after you."

With that he stopped running and turned hand in hand with Sinistra to face their distant followers. In synchronity they closed their eyes took a deep breath and raised their hands, focusing. Seconds later, glowing birds began to pour from their hands, all kinds of birds, sparrows, eagles, owls, crows took wing into the air, some were blue and some were red and very soon there was a huge cloud of them flying towards the diseased army. The birds were all made from some kind of energy, had his sister been there then Destra knew she would have been able to tell him what type but in any case they made a beautiful sight, except to the twins.

"L-L-Let's..." began Destra, his face pale, but he didn't need to finish.

Silently they turned and began to run as fast as they could after the Duchess. With luck the birds would take out most of the smaller infected beings but no matter what, they were bound to buy the escapees some time.

Duchess Sophie

The Duchess looked at Belca, stunned, was the girl actually trying to comfort her? Destra's words had been lost on her but somehow Belca had managed to snap her out of the numb daze she'd been stuck in. She mannaged to smile weakly at her before returning her attention to the matter at hand. It appeared that Sinistra and Destra had decided to try buy them some more time and had left her with their contractor, the girl seemed to be very nervous but who was better to look after a lost child than herself, the Duchess Sophie Vespre?

"It's a pleasure to meet you," she said brightly, "But I think I'll save greeting you properly untill we're all together somewhere safer. YOur young friends will be back shortly."

Leaping over a fallen log she ran into a clearing of trees where she stopped dead in her tracks, the skirts of her dress swirling about her.

"All of you stop," said the Duchess urgently.

She was sure she'd heard something in the distance. Something big and growling. Something she couldn't outrun. It would be here soon and the only option would be to fight.

"I hope you know how to use that rapier," she said to the Twins contractor, preparing to take on the new threat, "I fear that you're going to need it."

She hoped that the twins would catch up before the thing arrived, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to fight whatever it was while protecting Belca, her son and the new girl. A desperate plan was begining to form in her mind, if she could just get rid of this thing then she could take the others to Absolem's mushroom patch, then they might be able to form some kind of resistance against the plague.

Cook

He raced towards the bears, he knew he stood no chance against them in close combat, he'd seen what they'd done to the pigs and momeraths. But he had a secret, one of the best kept secrets in all of wonderland which was surprising because it was the only word he'd ever been able to say for as long as he could remember.

He could control pepper.

While this didn't seem like much at first it was not an ability to be underestimated. The Duchess had been the only one who knew about his ability and had realised its potential.

As the bears drew near he danced out of the way of its swiping paw. He wasn't powerful enough to take out all the infected beings around him but maybe, with luck he'd be able to take out most, if not all of the bears. That would at least make things easier for the Duchess later on.

Soon he was surround by the gruesome beasts, this was it, no way out now.

"Pepper!" he bellowed, stomping his foot and raising his hands.

As his foot reached the ground a shockwave of dust rippled out, hovering in the air as a black cloud. It was everywhere, the build up of countless years of peppery meals. The cloud began to spin around like a tornado, quickly reaching a speed where it was like a sandstorm, the cracked pepper coarse enough to tear though flesh. In the center of the storm stood the cook, his eyes streaming, there was no air inside the storm of pepper, it was like a vacuum, very soon he would suffocate and the pepper storm would subside revealing the aftermath. Whether or not he had destroyed the bears not longer mattered, he had given everything he could. As his world began to fade he tried to speak one last time.

"Sophie," he whispered, tear rolling down his cheeks, surprised that he'd finally been able to say anything but pepper.

The pepercloud cleared minutes later to reveal the lifeless body of the cook and anything that had died with him. There was a smile upon his lips as if he had died for something he loved or perhaps he was glad he hadn't fallen at the hands of the mutilated army. Nobody would ever know for sure.

Rage

The bear's swipe was dodged- but not the blasts from it's mounted Spiderpots. As the Cook would stomp down, preparing to unleash the pepper wave...the gobs would make contact.

It was a costly mistake, one that would seal the Cook's fate. The blobs, six of them, would slam into Cook's body: One on each arm, one on each leg. The final two slammed in to his torso and head. The end result is the being ends up covered from head to two in the Jabberwocky's essence. Bones snap, crunching loudly from within the human-shaped cocoon- Something was happening inside. Mass flowed over the ground, gathering more and more onto the Cook's body, oozing out of the ground and the Spiderpots's spouts. More and more of the black slime gathered onto the form of Cook. From within came a sound, first softly from under the layers...then louder, growing in volume: a bellow. Cook was releasing an explosion of sound, pure pain and rage. Jabberwocky's symphony.

The beast had it's champion- a Titan.

Standing over twelve feet tall, massive in bulk yet built for combat- the layers of essence forming thick plates of black armor. Spiked pauldrons adorn the wide shoulders of the Titan, each one easily a foot long, dribbling a stream of ooze from their tips. The Cook was now simply a rage-filled monster; the emotion displayed at the time of consecration. Jabberwocky now had it's Avatar of Rage, and soon it would unveil it's Avatar of Despair. Plans were coming together. Once the rest of it's hosts allowed their pent up feelings to vent- they too would morph into it's generals. The Avatars of Discord. Then there would be war. Total war.

It's steps cracked the ground, leaving shattered stone and flattened earth, one foot clipping the corner of the house as it turns to face the fleeing group. As the building's wall collapses the beast arches it's back and roars "P̷̷̶͓̘̘͉̗͓̣̖̺̲̤̱͑̄̆ͦ͐̇̊ͭ̆͑ͦ̇̚̚͟ͅͅͅȆ̸̢̤̙͓̥͒͌̋ͮͨ̊̀ͦ̉̈ͬ͊̃̍͋ͩ̀P̶̩͔͔̹̝̓̃̄̌̌̏̆̔͒̍̓̎̀ͥ͊̇͐͐ͦ͟ͅP̅͗̑̒҉͓͇̭̝̺͡ͅEͨ͗͂ͮ҉̷̵̘̱̻͞͝Ȓ̸̶̥̩̥̰̹͆ͮ̀̕!" unleashing a dense cloud of blackness into the air- not pepper, not anymore. This was powdered Essence. Jabberwocky's mass mixed into a fine ground grit- inhaled..it would corrupt. After exhaling the cloud..the beast launches itself off, moving suprisingly fast for something it's size- taking off after Duchess and her group.
---------------------------------------------------------

As if things had gotten bad enough..that was when the howl split the air.

Mr. Tibbs had arrived.

Bursting from the forest like a freight train, not losing a step as it smashes through the Duchess' abandoned home, comes what could only be described as a rhino mixed with a sabertooth tiger. Massive, Tibbs had been feeding out in the forest, devouring anything in it's path- and growing with all the added mass. The once-dog now stands about shoulder height to the Titan-Cook, with a long thick body. Still quadruped in nature, the beast's paws now razor sharp tricorn hooves, it's head no longer even resembling a dog- long fangs extending down past it's chin, while a thick horn juts from it's nose. Rows of quills and spikes extend down it's back in random patches.

Pausing in it's stride it lifts it's snout into the air to release a burst of sound- a howl of such volume that human ears cannot filter it into anything but an explosive detonation. With that, it launches itself at the group, it's speed far faster than Titan-Cook's. Should the Tweedles stand and fight they will be facing two massive monsters, as well as a small army of beasts and Doormouse herself.

The birds released would be unable to stop the tide of small creatures- it was not an issue of power, the birds had enough to kill the creatures...there was just so many of them. It was like trying to kill the water in a wave of the ocean. As a candle's flame they were snuffed out as the monsters rolled over them- losses simply absorbed by other animal beasts. In moments the air was clear, the death toll had been severe..but Jabberwocky cared not for it's subjects. They would be thrown at a target wholesale until either they ran out or the target was in ruins.

Among the mass was Doormouse, a white-hot fury in a storm of bodies- the dead were fed into her mass, her wails of depression and anger swelling in volume. She was changing...arms lengthening, mouth widening..her eye-sockets growing larger and spilling tears of corruption. She was the Avatar of Despair. "Y͔̎̒͗͛̃ͨ̅͘ơ̖̮̺̤̓͑̑̔̓̑ͦȗ͓̹̜͍̰̲ͣ̍ͬ̀́.̐̕.̶͍̞̩̻̲ͥ.͏̪wͭͨ͗͘͝h̵̽̎ͨ̄̽ͭy̷̨͗͂̾ ̸̔hͩ̿̀̓ă̴̾͋ͭ̽̚v̽͛͛̔͡e̶͂̓ͥ̂̈ͮ͌̿ͫ͞͝ ͭͩ̋̑ͫ͗ͦ͌́yͧͩ̄̍̑̈ͥ҉o͗͑̄̀͆ͦ̈̊͢͜u̅̇͛͑̿̂̏̍̚ T̸̷̴̘̘̘̱̮͖̜̳̙̳̱̜̯̫̞̰̭̆͋ͦͯ̈̈̈́̌ͫͭ̚͠A̍ͯ̓ͪͬ̊ͮ̍̋̈ͥ̿ͬ͟҉̠͎͉͉̳̗̘̞̟̙ͅK̶̢̳̝̗͓̣̝̳͉̯̺̳̪̮̥̠ͣͫ̆̃́̿ͦ͠ͅE̢̨̝̬̟̝̦̫̳̞̗̹͔̮̿͗͑ͣͬͧͧ͒͗ͦͭ̑͋̅ͫ̌̈́͡͞Ņ̝̻̟̤̣͎̠̘̬͑̆̿͋̈ͦ͊ͣ̏ͮ̕͢͜ ̷̠̦̞͓̟̣̳̞̘͓̪̱̟̻ͨ͗ͬͮ̾ͣ͜ͅW͔̞̦̱̹̥̤̺̭ͯ͂̔̂̍͂́̉͊̈ͥ̕͜H̆ͬͪ͗̾͡͏͏̤̜̻͔̮͖̰̯͕̯̮̭̙̗͇̩͙ͅẢ̛̪̦͚̮͍͔̗̜̦̼̺̹͍̮̠̫̳͔ͬ̍̔̀͢͢͠ͅT̴̸̴̨͎̫̫̠͖̣̟͇̠͉̪̠͈̏ͤͭ́ͧͭ͗ͬͥ͝ ̷̵̘͈͍̬̤͚͓̯̹͓̭͚͓̩͖ͩ́̿̃́̉̇ͥ̒̆̊̆ͦ̿͑ͯͫ̚͜͜ͅͅI̸̛̺͚͔̺̻̻͎̟͌̈́̒̍̒ͫ̇͗́̈́ͩ̊ͣͫȘ̖͚̯͈̩̳͕̪͕͓ͫͪͩ́̓̓͢ ̬̳̻͔͉͕̳͖̹͙̲͛͗̋̌͛̀́̕͡M̨̛̹͍͉͔̜̪̺͕̳̠ͫ̾ͨͬ͆͗ͩͮͪ̒̉̐̅̏̂̈̍̚͠I̙͎̝̳̟ͧ̄͂͌̉ͣͩͨ̑̑̏̚͟͝N̴̻̜̲̫͔̲̪̱̤̮͊̏̏͑͋͂ͫ̓͐̔̓̕͢ͅE̵̵̢̛̳̬̘̣̮̟͔ͥ͑̊͊̏ͭ̍ͪ̇ͨ͌ͦ͆͆͌̽͟ͅ?!" she was still convinced that Duchess somehow had taken away Hatter. Isaiah "Grey" Gris

Grey shifted in his sleep at the sound of glass breaking but didn't wake. He was in a deeper sleep now, he supposed that the way he'd suddenly woken up before had left him exhausted, not to mention all the things he'd gone through that day. Somehow the sound of the breaking glass made its way into his dream.

He was in some sort of old fashioned living room looking at a photo. He was in the center of the picture with people all around him but he was the only one that could be seen clearly. Every other person in the photo had their face blurred out by some sort of fog, like someone had breathed on the glass. Gently he tried to wipe it away but wherever he touch the glass it crack untill finally it shattered. Silently he stared at the frame, it no longer held the picture, instead there was more of the strange mist inside, he was sure that he could see strange shapes within the fog. Slowly the frame began to grow larger and larger, desperately he looked around the room to find an exit which was when he realised he wasn't alone. In the corner stood Absolem, no, it wasn't Absolem but it looked almost identical to him, he was just lacking the mint green hair. The man who was not Absolem opened his mouth and began to speak but no words came out. The man looked at Grey sadly and then his form began to flicker, he was changing. Soon the Absolem look-a-like was gone and in his place was a tall figure dressed in black, eerily it began to float towards Grey, its feet only just brushing the the ground. The figure had a frightening aura about it, without looking back Grey jumped through the frame and into the fog. There were mushrooms everywhere and the fog wasn't fog or mist, it was smoke, everything was hard to see as things often were in dreams but one thing wasn't certain, this dream didn't belong to him. It felt...lonely. Cautiously he began to wander through the mushrooms, looking for anyone or anything. Was this Absolem's dream? Somehow he was sure of it, he could almost feel that the man was somewhere in the dream, the warmth he felt when he was close to him and the certainty that he would be safe and secure that made him want to be close to him but there wasalso the lonelyness which seemed to move through the air of the dream. Soon enough he saw a figure in the distance sitting on top of a mushroom. Was it Absolem this time? "The caterpillar on top of a mushroom surrounded by smoke, how ironic," he said to himself, "Next he'll be asking me 'Who are you?'" That was a thought, would Absolem recognise him in the dream, did Grey even look like himself, was he actually a part of the dream or was he just an observer. Curiousity was beginning to overwhelm him, he had to find out now. Carefully he made his way towards the lonely figure, "So are you going to tell me that one side will make me taller while the other side will make me shorter?" he asked, kicking at the ground shyly. He wasn't entirely sure that he liked being in another person's dream, it felt like he was invading their privacy.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee & Destra/Tweedle Dum

The twins ran as fast as they could, hoping to catch up to the Duchess. Neither wanted to be caught by the army but they also didn't want to stick around for the birds. Every so often Sinistra would scoop up a stone from the ground while he ran and then launch it from his catapault at the distant mob, each stone hitting downing a target but it would never be enough to take down the whole army.

"That can't be the Dormouse can it?" said Sinistra, holding on to his hat as he ducked under a branch,
"Contrarywise, if it was it might be but it's not," said Destra, glancing back at what had once been the Dormouse, "Not anymore, nohow."

Finally they caught up to the Duchess who was standing in the middle of a clearing with Belca and Moonlight on either side and her son behind her.

"Sophie, what are you doing?" asked Destra, waving his arms fearfully, "You should be running from the things, not waiting for them to come get you, that's logic."

Running over to Moonlight the twins stood on either side of her and then turned to look at the Duchess.

"What's the problem? We need to leave," exclaimed Sinistra.

Duchess Sophie

She had been preparing to fight whatever was coming but that had all changed right before the twins had caught up to them. There was no longer the one big powerful thing coming towards them, now there were three. One she might have been able to handle but even with Sinistra and Destra here there was no way she could take on all three and be sure of victory, not with the level of power she was feeling from them. Now the only hope would be to run, even if escape wasn't possible they might at least make it to Absolem's mushroom patch before the amry caught up with them, then the man could help, if not then they'd just have to hope that the three big things had spread out enough that they could be taken down one by one.
"You're right, things changed and we need to go, now," said the Duchess, grabbing Belca's hand and taking off.

Sinistra and Destra wouldn't be able to find Absolem's house so it all depended on her leading them there.

"By the way Destra," she said as she ran, "I'd like to remind you that I'm a Duchess and you should address me as such, using my name is far too informal of you."

Very soon the trees gave way to giant mushrooms but that said nothing, Absolem's house was still a fair distance away, the Duchess just hoped they could make it in time, all she cared about was getting Belca and the others to safety.

I spy with my little eye...

Jabberwocky had come to the mushroom domain, while it sent it's minions to deal with Duchess, meaning to locate the hidden refuge of the rebels on it's own. With the incoming reports from it's generals however..it seemed soon it would have backup. Or..

A plan formed, and we sent to it's minions. They would capture the Duchess and her entourage..in a vice grip. The army chased them from behind, while Jabberwocky itself would close from the front. They would have no where to go, as the Spiderpots and other minor-minions harassed from the sides. A grin splits the skeletal features of the monster, as it turns from the Mushroom area. Unknown to the beast however..right then is when the Caterpillar's home looses it's stealth. The Cat and others are spared for the moment.

Reaching the plain that Duchess and her group flee across takes seconds, as the monster readies itself for some fun.

Arms raise high into the air, as Jabberwocky releases it's gathered force, having been preparing this trick to use on that Cat...but seeing it's need here. As the fingers spread and claw at the air the ground rocks and shakes...splitting as objects rip free. Black bones, made from the essence of Jabberwocky itself rip free, forming a wall; a fence of bone. Sealing off any way past it's position for about half a mile in both directions from it's position. On signal the Spiderpots would unleash hell, raining globs of goo down amongst the fleeing group..harassing and trying to infect them. This was just a feint however...meant to drive the group towards Jabberwocky.

Tibbs, Titan-Cook and Doormouse all follow Duchess' group, Tibbs keeping close to their heels, releasing growls and roars to drive them. Titan and Doormouse spread to the sides, meaning to herd the group- should they try breaking off or splitting up to escape they would be attacked by either dominated-Chain. It was a slaughter-house chute. Baying hounds to drive the sheep towards the waiting blade.

Jabberwocky itself took the time left to gather it's power once more- forming an array of bone-blades and spears, causing them to hover about it's frame. It would be ready to welcome the Duchess, the Twins and their Chains to it's ranks soon.

Absolem / Caterpillar
(PM me if I didn't respond to something, considering my situation, I highly predict I haven't responded to everything I needed to..)

Absolem raised an eyebrow, it seriously took the cat that long to figure out Duchess's intentions? He tried to not pay mind to the cat's slow deduction process, so he merely glanced to Rhia, then back at the livingroom, "We haven't time, I cannot leave her to surrender to the Jabberwocky, we cannot afford to let that parasite grow any stronger than it already has." Absolem grabbed a few herbal mixtures for headaches, knowing he'd need them in just a few mere moments, "Regardless, we're in this fight no matter what, she's lured it to my location, if those flowers die, we're sitting ducks. I find it better to be on her side, than fighting every man for himself, no? It's common sense, for once, no time for riddles. This is much too serious.." Absolem was once again pale, but mostly due to his rushing, grabbing matches, candles, and containers for the herbal mixtures, each floating around him as he began his idea. I can't let them know I'm unsure we'll make it through this. Look reassuring, look self-assured..

"Put the barrier back? I shall not." Absolem rubbed his temples, staring firmly at the cat, "When the Jabberwocky reaches the flowers, regardless of the barrier, the house will be revealed, if the flowers die, so does the barrier, at least if we're all together we stand a fighting chance." he spat back, "Use your head, I know you're more clever than that." Absolem moved from the room, walking out and almost not even paying a single bit of mind to those around him, "It's a bit of a situation at the moment. Hide yourself, or at least arm yourself.. when the barrier goes down.. I've got a plan, but this is going to be very painful for the both of us, far more than you can imagine." Absolem mumbled to Grey, not standing by a single second longer. He flung the door to his home open before floating up atop of his abode, sitting on the large mushroom. He squinted his eyes, trying to locate the Duchess. If Jabberwocky killed the flowers, this would become a bit difficult, but he tried his best to send her a message through the flowers. -The house isn't very far.. I see you've run into trouble however..when it kills those flowers my home will be vulnerable. I am going to keep it hidden as long as I can, but as you know my contractor and myself will pay a dire price for me using my abilities to cloak the entire structure.- Absolem began preparing himself, rubbing his temples nervously. He'd never attempted to control the barrier on his own, he wasn't even sure if it would work, but he knew if it did, they had at most, ten minutes before he or Grey would be rendered unconcious if not both.

He began drinking one of the mixtures, letting everything land around him, the candles lighting themselves, almost instantly emitting a calming arouma around the house. He took a deep inhale, a faint white smoke rapidly coating the area, but not near enough to hinder one's sight. He finally located Duchess, hoping the flowers got the message before they were destroyed by the Jabberwocky. Though, it did have to find out which flowers controlled the barrier, and around Absolem's house was surrounded by poisonous mushrooms, snapping shrooms and giant venus fly traps. His 'garden' was not a playground by far. Especially the backyard. Absolem had a habit of collecting beautiful things, but his destructive collection was far more massive. His entire backyard was a death trap waiting to happen. He knew it would possibly only pose a distraction, but if needed, he assumed it would at least bide them some time and distance between the groups and the infection taunting them.

"Heh.. Grey was right about the mushroom.." He mumbled to himself. He couldn't help but be amused.

Rhia

Rhia tensed when she heard Absolem's thoughts. He isn't sure that we're going to survive this? How unsure is he..? She tried to pry furthur into the mint haired man's mind, but he seemed to be avoiding exact answers, even in his mind. No time for riddles? You've caught on to my ability, you're blocking solid answers from me as much as you can, even if I tell Cheshire, it's not like this information is really going to help.. It'll only panic her more. The blue haired girl finished her soup quickly standing up and wiping her mouth, "I guess we're in for a fight?" she asked tilting her head curiously. How..was this going to work? Neither her nor Grey knew anything offensive yet. They'd never really practiced their abilities. What were the weaknesses of the creatures tamed by the Jabberwocky? She shivered at the idea.

She turned to face Cheshire, shaking her head, "He isn't lying. I saw it in his head." she mumbled under her breath softly, "Like a motion picture.. If what he has planned works, he's going to be in a world of pain.." she ran a hand through her hair, looking at the ground, shivering a bit. Whatever she'd seen, it obviously had her very frightened. She didn't even have the control to hide the fear from her Chain, which she normally would have at least attempted, "What can me and Grey do? We won't feel satisfied just sitting here or running..." She whispered at Cheshire, this time pleadingly, "We're here for a reason, and right now I feel pretty useless to this point." She admitted, although it stung her pride for a moment, " Just tell us what to do and I'm sure he'll agree with me, we'll gladly do it to help." She blinked over at the human male afterwards, as if looking for his approval, "Besides, I need to be there just in case he passes out, right?" she grinned at Cheshire, "We want to help protect Wonderland too."

Blockade

As the group came to the end of their escape; the bone wall a clear dead-end, and there was the puppet master.

Jabberwocky stood before those gathered, a swirling chaos of bone-based weapons coalescing about it's form..with a motion or a word the swirling mass would rip through those before it, shredding flesh and spreading corruption. But there was a pause. The beast did not kill them, it held back it's power, hollow skull-eyes looking at the Duchess and her group without emotion. While the woman moved closer, her pace slowed now, the army of the beast closed from behind. Titan, Doormouse and Tibbs spread in three directions, with the Spiderpots and the smaller beasts ranged between. Escape would prove difficult.

A hand raises, Jabberwocky allowing several blades to slice past the sides of Duchess' head. It's voice, when it comes, sounds as if several were talking at once, "Far enough Ṗ̴̷̛̯̹͙̹͔͇̘̫͕̠͓̾̇̽̒̋ͪ̾̈́͆̈͊̚͝ͅI̸̮̙̱̼͇͚̤̘͚̪̮͎͈͈̳͇̮̗͑̽̓ͮ͊͊̇͐́G̴̷̴̴̺̜̦͈̖̲͉͕͔͙̩̫͈̳ͭͣ̌̈́͆̐̔̑̌̐̇̌͋͋̃̚͟ͅ-̸̡̡̲̟͇͖͕̥̤̖̝̬̘̤͑ͪ̒̑̋̒̉̃̀͊͆̌͂ͫ̌ͯͨ̚͝͝Ẁͧ͋̇̈͊̒̋̉̏̃̐ͣ̐͌̃ͯ̀҉̨̱̲̗̤͇͕̞̲̦̰͢Ơ̶̫̲̜͎̗̫̹̣̗̞̎̋ͯͦ͋̃̄ͥ̽̏ͪ̚͝M̧̳͇̩̰̫͙͇̙̃̑̓ͥ̈́̿ͧ̀̄̈̏ͩ̍ͦ͐̆͗̃Aͥͥ̈̓ͪ̃̄̋̄͂̉ͥ̿͌̄̀͏̱̝̼̘̜̜͓͓̟ͅN̸̶̷̵̢̫͖̬̭͖̬̺͊̅ͫͥ̓̂ͅ. Explain to me why I should not simply end you and those you care for this instant."

Tibbs' growl sounds, it's eyes catching sight of the Caterpillar's revealed home, massive fangs expose themselves as the mighty beast lets a bass rumble echo from it's throat. Jabberwocky can see through the beast's eyes, and motions with it's head for the canine monster to go check things out. A single leap clears the wall, the group and lands the horror poised in the middle of a flower patch. Corruption and rot spreads from it's feet's landing spots, rippling outward in waves. Taint would spread in the beast's wake. It was almost time for Tibbs to awaken fully. As the levels of essence rise in the thralled Chains they undergo changes...until they awaken as fully formed avatars.

With Tibbs gone the gathered now had a slightly better chance for escape...though where they would go was of some debate. Already the lands they had fled through were warping and rotting from the gathering of Jabberwocky's forces. To return there would be foolish, they would simply be in this same predicament again. The only way out was through. But that would mean passing the beast, it's wall...and Tibbs. Things looked bleak.

The weeping screeches of Doormouse sound across the clearing, grating on the nerves of those gathered, each sob and wail stabbing into ears and minds. Not all corruption was physical. Soon the gathered group would be cringing from the sounds, holding their ears as the volume seems to rise...each sob and wet snuffle meant for them alone. Twitches would be the first sign, then head aches...building until one felt the world's pressure weighing down in painful throbs. The final symptom would be nose bleeds, as Doormouse's strange voice tore away at the sanity and minds of those gathered. Despair would rip their minds to bloody tatters. This would take time, hours..days maybe..but Jabberwocky had plenty of time- Duchess and her group were not leaving soon.

(OOC NOTE: Gonna ignore the stuff about Grey wandering in, as I am unsure if the author even HAD the boy join the group- not that he could have...the wall and all.)

Isaiah "Grey" Gris

Grey looked around nervously as Cheshire led him to Absolem. Rhia was right, they needed to help in any way they could but how much use was he going to be? He didn't even have a weapon, unless his tarot cards worked in more mysterious ways than he could imagine. Smiling he lost himself amongst thoughts of throwing the cards like shuriken.

"Like that would ever happen," thought Grey to himself.

Still, it was worth a try, even if it was only to pass the time untill someone found a use for him. Picking a card at random he looked for a target and settled on a mushroom a short distance away. Sighing he filcked the card from his hand experimentally and watched in amazement as it flew towards the mushroom and struck it with a thud.

"That is so awesome!" he said excitedly, "But now I've lost a card."

He was about to go get it when the card shimmered and disappeared from view, reappearing at the top of his deck.

"Well, at least I'm armed now,I still don't know how much help I'll be though." he thought.

Everyone seemed preoccupied with something in the distance and from the sounds of it, there were people in trouble. As he looked at the giant bone wall in the distance anxiety began to well up within him, he hated the thought of being unable to help.

"Absolem, why are we just sitting here? Can't we do anything to help?" he asked, wringing his hands frantically.

Pacing to and fro he flicked a card into the air, watching it spin around before catching it again between two fingers. He felt so useless, there was no way he could help Absolem and there was no way he could help the people in trouble. If only there was some way he could carry everyone away from danger. Frustrated he looked at the card in his hand. Slowly an idea came to him, his eyes widening.

"Please please work," her whispered, rushing outside.

The card he held was the Chariot. His ability had worked with the Ace of Wands, perhaps it would work with this one too.

"Come on," he muttered, focusing all his concentration on the card.

Slowly a glow formed around the card and then disappeared in the blink of an eye. Before him stood some form of armoured vehicle big enough to hold him, Absolem, Cheshire, Rhia and several other people, he couldn't see how one was meant to drive it though, perhaps it was automatic? He'd cross that bridges when he came to it, for now the only important thing was that he had a way to help everyone escape.

"Absolem!" he called out, "I think I can get everyone out of here."

The wall of bone would prove a problem, he'd just have to hope that the people on the other side would be able to get past it before the vehicle disappeared again. Who knew how badly it would effect him this time?

Duchess Sophie

The Duchess blinked at the Jabberwocky as the blades fly past her face and crossed her arms, as if to show that she wasn't impressed. Inside she was terrified, she had no idea whether she could make it out of this but she was determined to do everything in her power so that at least Belca, Moonlight and her son could get away.

"Pig woman?!" she cried out in disgust, "What a terribly rude way to greet someone. You dissappear for all these years, never write and then come back calling me Pig Woman. The nerve. Do you know what I think? I think if you could have 'ended' me in an instant then you would have done so by now."

This was a risky tactic but it was the only one she could use. If she acted as if she was more powerful than the Jabberwocky then perhaps it would believe her, that or make it angry. An furious Jabberwocky wouldn't be ideal but it was something she could work with. Angry enemies made mistakes.

"Look at you, needing an entire army just to lead me to you, am I too much of a woman for you to handle?" she continued.

While she spoke her eyes were taking in every detail of her surroundings trying to work a way out of the situation.

"And you," said the Duchess, angrilly addressing what had once been the Dormouse, "Give it a rest, nobody cares. You're starting to tick me off."

An idea began to form in her mind as she looked at the wall. It was made of bone and far too tall to climb over but that didn't mean she couldn't go through it, after all, bones did have a tendancy to break, all they neded was enough impact.

"Unfortunately I have no idea about you ability," she whispered to Belca, "But now would be an excellent time for it to manifest. Get ready to run."

Everybody was in exactly the right position, she was between Destra and the wall, that was the most important part.

"Destra, when I say so I need you to send as many birds as you can as fast as you can hurtling towards the wall," she whispered, "Sinistra, I need you, Belca and Moonlight and France to hold off everything while I focus."

She was going to have to move soon, the Jabberwocky certainly wouldn't wait for long. She'd just have to hope they could outrun it for as long as it took to reach help.

"This is all Cheshire's fault," she muttered, "If I ever see that cat again I'm going to punch it in the face."

It was now or never. She just prayed that luck would be on her side.

"Now!" she shouted.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee & Destra/Tweedle Dum

Destra, looked at the Duchess from the corner of his eye. She had to be crazy, there was a huge risk that the birds would hit her too, not to mention that expecting him to do something so terrifying was a lot to ask.

The twins looked at each other and knew that if they wanted any chance of escape then they'd have to do as the Duchess asked, no matter how much it scared them.

Without warning the Duchess shouted out and Destra turned to face the wall, focusing on creating the biggest barage of birds he could handle without fainting from fear. As each bird passed by the Duchess's head it was transformed into a giant cannonball which slammed into the bone wall with great force, smashing things into pieces.

"So that was her plan," thought Sinistra as he turned his attention to keeping the army at bay, "She plans to create a hole in the wall for us to get through."

More determined than ever he ignored his fear and began to send birds of his own towards the army as well as launching stones at it with his catapault. He'd just have to hope that anything that got close would be taken care of by Belca, Moonlight and the Duchess's boy, hadn't she refered to him as France?

Finally the hole seemed to be big enough because the next thing the twins knew they were all runnig towards it. As they was about to pass through the gap in the wall, Sinistra and Destra felt compelled to look at the sky. Doing so almost made them shriek in horror. Gliding just above the top of the wall was the Crow, the one that always seemed to be hunting them. Terrified they continued to run but not before they saw it dive into the masses of the Jabberwocky's army, tearing through minion after minion. White light began to shoot out from the giant bird untill soon it was nothing but a ball of pure white light. As it faded a little a girl was revealed, a white aura surrounding her. Time seemed to slow as she turned to watch the twins run off. With a smile she turned back to face the horde, attacking violently.

Somewhere in the distance the twins suddenly look at each other, almost stopping.

"Did you feel that?" asked Sinistra.

There was no way they could mistake that prescence. All along, the Crow had been the Rattle.

Destra looked back sadly and then continued to run, speaking only one word, "Raven."
