Quirks:
● Hateful.

Appearance Description: In it's main form, one would never quite see it the same way twice; a being of shifting darkness and whispering sounds. Acting as a symbiotic the J̢̝̝a̯͔̩̣̭ͅb̶̤͈̻be̖̤̣͢ͅr̛̯̼̮̺͔w̯͇̬̹̻o̳c̲̮k̳̗̹͝y̪̱͓͉̥̲͓ clings to other beings, infecting them with it's own mass. What was once a simple man will become a vessel, harbinger of the Jabberwocky itself. Physical changes are quite obvious: The hair, nails and teeth all fall away, as newer and larger crowd in to take their places. The skin becomes dark, dirty looking, while the eyes become uniform black. The Jabberwocky's essence leaks from the ears and mouth in a fine black fog.

In it's other, far rarer form the Jabberwocky takes on it's true shape, by mashing together any beings infected with it's essence...crushing together bone..flesh, skin and muscle into a towering leviathan of flesh. The serpentine form possesses vast wings, made from the stretched skin and bones of the many bodies. Hideous to look upon, with a smell to match.̶̈ͫ̀̚I̷̓͑̔̅́tͦ̽ͮ̂̆̔̿'̆s͊ͨ̂ͦ͒͋͠ ͊̽e̾̀̇y̶eͯ̀sͩ͌ ̿͌͐̎͐͟m̛ͭ́ͬ̈̅a̐ͫ͟d́̇̓͐̌̌ȩ̒̚ ͐́o̶ͧ̒̎̽̿̈́f̊̈́ͧͪ̽ ̋h̨͋͌͗̏͆́u̾ͤͧnͩ̓̃̄̿҉d͆ͣr͞ěͪͤ̑d̂̂̃̄̈́s̏ͣ͛ ̐͌͜ǒͩ͋̈̅̎̽͜f̅͊ o͑̇̆̿ͯ͢t́͐ͫ͆̈͋͛͢hͩ̃̔ȩͩ͂̏̃ͫr͢ ̉ͨͩ̅eͧͮͣ̏͋̆ͫy̏̓̆̓͆ͮes̈́ͯ,͂ ͬ̂͊ͨ̈́a̅͌̈͐̚b̃̓ͯ̔ͪͯ͟l̛̓̐ͤ̚e͑́ͤ̀ ͪ̒̾̾͌t̵̔̅̀oͮ̾ͬ̏́ ͆͑sͭ̊ͫ́p̆ͫ͌̍rͥ̇̔̈́͟oͪu̡̾ͫ͂ţ͗̿͌̓ͪ̊̂ ̡ͦͩf̾͗̔ͧ͐͊̕r̋͗̽̅̃̽ͪo͊̇̓̐̇ͦ̒͠mͪ͋̑̕ ̚a̧̋͗nyͩ̓̿ p͌̐̅̌̏̇̊ȯ̀͆ͯ̍̉҉i̡͗̔̽n͌̇ͧ̃͢t͊͌̊ͤ̋͞ ̴̄̓ͤ̆͒õ̆ͭ͊̄̉͂n̊̃͟ i̾̂ͭ̅͢t̏̈́͆'ͮ̓ͭš͐ ͬ͛ͬ̈́̏̀bỏͭd̽ͨͯ͊̚͡ẙ̴.̷͛̉͛̔̄

Dislikes:

Powers: The Jabberwocky is powerful, but in a way that most would take for granted. It's body is never it's own, so it cannot ever truly die. It is said that only the Vorpal blade could lock away the being, and even then only for a time. Wonderland needs the Jabberwocky, who else will take care of the weak?

It's main form could be seen as a kind of power; acting as a living computer virus, it spreads between beings, taking over and using them as hosts. No one is sure how many bodies the being has, only that the few times it has chosen to use it's true form...the number of bodies it would take to mold that serpent from...there must be hundreds.

Contractor: Gina

Weapons/ Things They Are Carrying: Whatever it's hosts have on them, the Jabberwocky has no need for physical possessions.

Back Story: : The being, Jabberwocky, it's name strikes fear in those that know of it's existence. Sometimes someone will disappear, a single scream sounds...and those left behind can only shiver and pray for dawn. The only hope is that they are dead; there are fates far worse when dealing with the Jabberwocky. No one is sure why the Queens do nothing to stop the beast, some say it's because the Vorpal blade has been lost..some say it's because they fear it. For whatever reason, the being moves where it pleases, and does as it sees fit.

In a strange twist, the Jabberwocky cannot infect the Cheshire cat...it is unknown why this is.

History

Extended powers:
March Hare-"Marchie is one hell of a tracker. She can smell a scent once and track it down no matter how far the person/thing has traveled. She also has powerful hearing and even the slightest sound will echo loudly in her head which is one of the reasons she wears her hat. Because of her powerful ears and nose it's extremely hard to sneak up on her. "- Enhanced sences.

Doormouse-"Dormouse has the ability to control a person's mental stability and consciousness. She can make you fall asleep with a blink of an eye or think everyone is trying to kill you with a wave of her hand. She doesn't use it much because she'd rather use a sword."- Hypnosis, combat ability improvement.

Mad Hatter:"The Mad Hatter has the power of distorting other chains’ reality. Sometimes, the chains see peaceful images and feelings, which might lead them into a disastrous situation, such as they feel tired, forgetting about the battle and they see a shady tree to lie under, but really they end up falling off a cliff while trying to reach the desired image. But, most of the time, there aren’t any cliffs around to lead them over, so instead, the Hatter makes them visualize horrifying images, such as melting faces and trees that turn into giant snakes. He can also have the chain hear voices urging them to kill themselves or exert themselves too much to hurt their contractor. The only thing is that the Mad Hatter is really a very peaceful chain, and will only use his powers if him and his contractor are in mortal danger."- Enhanced Hypnosis.

Cook: Cook's powers are based on Pepper and anger. Strong, and tough, the big Chain was powerful before becomming Thralled.- Strength, Pepper-blasts.

Avatars: Aspects of power- These forms are subject to the trait best embodied by the Chain infected. These become Jabberwocky's Generals- leading the forces of Chaos.

Dispair: Doormouse
Rage: Cook
Fear: Tibbs
Madness: March Hare/Mad

Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Do not get your dress dirty.

Her mother's stern command echoed in her head, and really, it was perfectly reasonable; the dress was her best Sunday dress, meant for church. The light blue garment had white lace and small flowers, it was her favorite. But, as Gina thought to herself, if I am ESPECIALLY careful, it will be fine. She had never meant to wander off, it was the puppy's fault.

The small white dog had been a gift from her father, who was away a lot, work stuff. But to a nine year old girl work stuff that took away her daddy was a big deal. To make up for it, and to seek peace with Gina's mother he had surprised her with the small dog. An albino Doberman, he said it would be a fine friend..and would protect her and her mother while he was away.

But the dog liked to explore.

She saw him, Mr. Tibbs, nose open the back door, as her mother talked on the phone. Not wanting him to dig up any weeds or get messy; he WAS a white dog after all, Gina hurried after. She slipped into the backyard just in time to see the small tail as it disappeared through a hole in the fence...one that she had never seen before. A quick glance back at the house, she hesitated..he mother would be SO angry if she got her dress dirty, but Mr. Tibbs could get lost or hurt over there.

Gina's mother looked out the window, having thought she heard a sound in the backyard, but saw that the area was empty. Her eyes played tricks on her, as she saw what looked like the fence...fixing itself. Must be the shadows. Where on earth had that child gone? "Gina? It's almost time to go.."
----------------------------------------------------------

Gina was in awe, this was what lay beyond her house?! The forest loomed, huge and untamed, spooky in a way, but so alive that she pushed away her fears. How had she never noticed this? Surely the trees would be seen from her window? No matter...at that moment she saw Mr. Tibbs, as he slipped deeper into the woods. Hiking up her dress, to keep it clean, she hurries after.

Excited barks sound ahead, as the dog bounded after something, Gina was hard pressed to keep up, as the forest grew deeper and darker. First the smell was just musky, she hardly noticed it over the scents of the woods, but soon it grew stronger...almost like burning plastic, or skunk. Was that silly dog chasing a skunk!? "Mr. Tibbs, No! Get back here you dumb dog!" she called out, hearing the dog bark further on.

A sudden yelp splits the air; as the forest itself silences, like a switch had been flipped.

She hurried onward, worried now, and growing frightened. What if it was a bigger dog? Or a bear? They lived in the woods, right? A small white thing caught her view, Mr. Tibbs was laying on his side ahead, alone...near the edge of a deep hole. Looking closer she could see some kind of black mist, like a smoke cloud seeping from the hole. That must be what happened to Tibbs...it must be poison!

Staying far enough away from the pit she crouches and starts calling the dog, it was still breathing...so she hoped he would be ok, he just needed to get away from the hole. "Come on Mr. Tibbs! Come here boy. Lets go home...please...I just wanna go home." Confronted by this horrible situation she starts to cry.

With a shudder, and a twitch..hacking out a wet sounding cough, the dog climbs unsteadily to it's feet. Staggering steps carry it away from the pit, moving towards Gina, her hopes rising..things would be ok! He was walking. Looked sick, but still...she could go home now.

If she was paying attention she would have noticed the patches of fur that had fallen out, the way the dog's eyes were now black. If she had noticed, maybe things would have been different. Instead she didn't see the teeth as they fell out, pushed away by larger, sharper ones. The dog's feet bled, as the toes split, black talons ripping free.

"Mr. Tibbs?" she asked, looking at the dog..then he leaped for her throat.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The dog, now something FAR more efficient, sat, licking the blood from it's snout. Already the girl's corpse was attracting attention, wisps of the blackness had covered her chewed face, seeping into her nose and scream-frozen mouth. Soon there would be another body. And many more.
Jabberwocky had arisen.
"O, Discordia.." the dog's voice, like a thousand people all whispering together, purred forth. "lament, despair."

A gathering of crows; Murder.

It took little time; Bad things tend to be fast.

If viewed from above, a bird's eye maybe, it would look as if the forest had cancer. Lush green leaves met an invisible barrier of corruption and blackened, the trees themselves twisting into forms not unlike corpses. The forest had a tumor. At the center of this corruption, like an infection, was the pit. No one knew how deep it was, or where it came from. There were myths though.

Some said the pit reached The Lower Level, that it was made when The Jabberwocky had last walked Wonderland; it was made when the beast was banished by the Vorpal Blade. Some said that the blade was still there, somewhere in the bottom. But if that was true...how was the beast awake again?

Every being that the darkness found..it consumed. Already a ring of mutated creatures stood about the pit's mouth, all sitting impossibly still. Only one figure seemed to move; Gina. By now the child looked horrible- limbs elongated twice their length, skin ripped in places exposing bone and an underlining of blackness. Her face was in a constant grin; the flesh about her mouth having been chewed off by Mr. Tibbs. Corruption rippled beneath her tattered flesh, like worms in a corpse. Worst of all, she still breathed. Each inhale brought more of the black mist into her body, filling her to the brim with Jabberwock's essence. Gina was to be it's vessel, spreading the plague of madness and death in it's wake.

Stepping from the ring of creatures, the being that once was little Gina beckons, summoning her faithful hound. Mr. Tibbs had grown as well.

Standing almost five feet, the once albino Doberman now looked like a monster. Rigid black hair ran down it's back, like that of a boar, like wise it had grown large curling tusks from within it's blackened razor clustered mouth. Thick black talons had split it's paws, forming what almost looked to be hoofs. While it was lanky in shape it's muscles had been filled with the blackness, granting it fearsome strength. Pausing by it's master it waits as Gina mounts the beast. Together they would ride...and find the means to escape Wonderland once and for all.

As the rider and mount depart..the remaining horde of beings spread out as well...to be on hand when the time was right, and to spread the darkness. Wonderland was going to become a nightmare.

Scared and alone.

Gina's world was black.

It was not simply dark, for even in darkness there is always some light...no, this was an absence of light so pure..it was just black. And in it there was the t͏̤̣̫h͎̟̥̝i̙͈̟n̨̥͇͓g͉̮̘̯͠. She didn't know what it was...only that it whispered things to her, sometimes it hurt her, but then it made the hurt go away. It told her about how her mother hated her, about how daddy stayed away because she was a filthy pig. She cried sometimes. But the whispers never stopped. It told her how much worse things would be, about how mommy would leave...daddy had a new family someplace else...MrTibbs would get ran over. She cried.

Then it let her feel pain.

First she thought it was like a skinned knee, but it was EVERYWHERE. Her body hurt so much, she felt raw and sore. The skin had to be on fire, her screams couldn't even stop the whispers. Still they went on. And on. a̴͚̙̗n̫̤̯ḍo̡̺̬n̡.̲̮͈̩̭a̤̦̖͈̹̱n̞͉͎̪̹̭d̶o̩n̞̩͙͙͖̫̦͘.̮a͚̰̭n̜d̷̠͉͚̳̬̣̗o͉̲n.̞̩a͕̻̞͈̟͇n̹̣̫͖d͇̹̲͈̭ͅͅơ̦̖̠ͅn̸͕͓͚͕̺͕.̲̼͈̪̦̳̭a̘͝n͓̤͎̮̕ͅḍ̼o͎̤n̙̼̞̻͡.̠̤̠͕̩͎a̷̙nd̸͉̯o̟̩͙͚͘n̙̳̳̳͇͡.̶̗̮̱̟a̲͈͇̣̼̤n̷̳̝̪̦͙̠d̬͔̱ǫ̦n̦̺͇.̨̪a̧͈̳͎̩n̦̞̟̫̪͖ͅd̥̗̗͉̖o̴n̛̝͚̗̞.̮̺̥̰ͅ

Then it stopped. The pain went away. The whispers said it could stay gone. It could feel good instead.

The wind felt warm, like in summer time. Her feet felt wet, like when she was at the beach. It was just like she remembered it. If not for the whispers it would be like when her daddy had surprised her with a trip to the beach! She had so much fun that day, the sand squished between her toes, the sun on her back. The water had been so nice, just cool enough. She built a sand castle that day.

When she opened her eyes there was her castle. And a doll. It was an ugly doll, all black with tatters of white clinging to it like shed skin. It made her scared. She wanted her daddy to take it away, but there was no one. Just her, the doll and her castle. A wall of darkness seemed to press in from all sides, held back by the castle's walls. She didn't know it..but this place was her only hope.

---------------------------------------------

The beast made it's way through the woods, riding the monster-dog like one would a horse; it was big enough for the task by now. As the pair moved they spread decay in their wake. Flowers wilted, trees fell black, animals scattered..only to return moments later, infected. Like a plague-bearer the thing that once had been Gina spread the Jabberwocky's essence across Wonderland's forest. Death followed closely for those that seemed immune.

One such individual was a lizard. His name was Bill.

Bill never had good luck. His job had been lost, no need for a chimney sweep, they said, especially one who drank to much. It was in a drunken stupor that the girl-thing came upon him. Bill sat, head between his knees on a stump, bottle in hand. He belched wetly, wiping his mouth before looking up and frowning at the rider. Strong drink kept him numb from fear, as the being extended one hand towards him. And nothing happened.

With a frown, and a second gesture with her hand, the skeletal rider sighed...and moved along. Bill was confused, and was ready for another drink...when they fell on him. What had once been small forest creatures were now violent killing beasts. Teeth, claws..they ripped at him, gouging out great chunks of meat. Blood sprayed everywhere as arteries were shredded. Bill never even knew what had happened. The shredded pulp that remained of his body would be unrecognizable, if not for his hat, left soaking in a pool of blood.

And the rider moved on.

The castle's walls are cracking

Days seemed to pass, the waves coming and going, yet she still sat in the sand. By now the doll had moved closer to the sand castle, though Gina had no idea how; she saw no one else here, and surely dolls could not walk about on their own, right? The sand castle was huge, big enough that even if she stood tippy-toed she couldn't see over the outer wall. Detail had gone into the individual stones, the turrets even had small flags. In her head she saw a small king and queen living there; her mother and father's faces pasted in place, while a princess played in a garden. Yet even in these private thoughts..the doll waited: next to the king's throne, in the queen's lap..even in the garden, next to a rose bush. It was everywhere.

Gina looked at the doll closer, noting it's wet looking texture, as if it had been dipped in oil. In an attempt at bravery she walked closer, and bent over the infernal thing. Button eyes, zig-zag of thread for a mouth..it looked like any rag-doll..only pitch black. With a gulp of fear, and a holding of breath...she nudged it with her toe. Expecting nothing, yet fearing anything, she shuddered at the thing's warmth. It felt alive. Her ears still heard the whispers..but the words no longer made sense.

Without her noticing, a wide crack split the side of the castle's wall. The whispers got louder. The doll simply lay, a fake smile on it's face.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jabberwocky felt great; the pit had been so boring. It would be fun to drop in on it's old friends; Cheshire was the closest, that damned cat lived in these woods. If memory served correctly it's tree was somewhere to the East of where Jabberwocky now stood; Mr.Tibbs had been sent off, back to the pit itself, to gather more of the Essence. For now Jabberwocky was on it's own two feet..rather, Gina's borrowed feet. But soon they would be one. Already it could feel the girl's resolve weakening. Soon that castle would fall, and the child would beg for a contract. Once the host accepted Jabberwocky..the binding was complete; Jabberwocky would once again have full control over it's powers.

A small army of corrupted forest creatures cavorted in it's wake, each one a pair of eyes and a set of teeth for the being to employ. It was unfortunate that the lizard was resistant, once complete no being would be able to resist corruption..for now only the humans and lesser creatures were vulnerable..and even then only those that had not committed to a Chain. The link provided a measure of protection...for now.

The monster strode through the forest..it's destination in mind..time to visit the cat.

Pain

The walls were cracked. A tower had fallen. The castle was doomed.

Gina was scared again. By now she had picked up the doll; as much as it had disturbed her, it was the only thing there she could clutch at. It felt warmer, more alive somehow. Her ears tingled, as whispers filled the air..they told her things she didn't want to hear. Made her afraid. They said things were about to get worse, things were going to hurt again. She didn't wanna hurt anymore though.

"P̓͗͠a͆̏̿͑̚҉in̓͗ͮ̈́̈.̑̐̍ ̏̆͗I̢ͥ̆̅͂ͤt̷ͥͯ͑'͂͗s̀ ̀̏ͯ̇ͬ̑ğ̋͞o̾ͣ̚iͣ͐̇ͫ̃̂͌nͫ̋̈́ͯ̀̚͘gͪ̐ ̀̚t̀ͩ̏ͥ̂ͥͬo̕ ͧ͌̌͒͆͌͞HUR̓͑ͦͤT͐̆!̨̾̂̉̄" the voice told her. Just let it inside the castle.

But she shook her head, and cried...as pain came like fire.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Bones cracked.

Skin jerked back.

Blood seeped, but there was no helping that. It would help pass off the act.

In the depths of the forest..the Jabberwocky was giving itself a make-over.

The voices let it know where to go; Cheshire's voice was like nails on chalk-board to the being.

---------------------------------------------------------------

The shape ran from the woods, dress torn and filthy, coated with blood. Hair messy, leaves and muddy gore coating it in thick chunks. Fear shown in her eyes, held wide and staring. In the first few moments, the ones that counted, the small group would think it was a little girl; Jabberwocky had pulled the arms and legs back in to the normal lengths, and while nothing could be done about the skin damage..one may think she had been attacked.

All at once a small horde of creatures bursts out behind her, seemingly chasing the tattered figure. Squirrels, chipmunks even a few birds..they all came like a wave after the girl. Screams sounded, one may be from the girl, but it was impossible to tell in the rush of sound. All that one would see at first glace..was a damaged girl fleeing for her life from a monstrous bunch of creatures. A voice calls for help in the din, as others shout for blood.

All the while...Jabberwocky makes Gina feel the pain of holding in her bones...letting the child scream as one of the voices...it was all going so well.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee

Sinistra had been sitting around patiently sipping tea while all the other chains had rushed off to find someone to contract with. He wanted to wait until his brother made a move before making his selection but annoyingly, Destra had stayed perfectly still.

"No doubt he wants to see the type of person I pair with first." he thought to himself, "As if it would give him any sort of advantage."

He moodily swirled the tea round in his cup, it had long gone cold but he didn't care, he hadn't put enough sugar in it had no desire to finish it. Suddenly he saw a flash of brown out of the corner of his eye. There was a girl wandering around the hall that looked incredibly familiar.

"It can't be," he muttered, "Surely that's not..."

But looking at Destra, he saw the recognition growing in his brothers eyes. Without a word he began to race towards her, he had to get there first, he had no doubt that Destra would be right behind him. Finally he came skidding to a stop infront of the girl, panting.

"You!" he exclaimed, "You look just like the Rattle."

Destra/Tweedle Dum

Detra had followed his brother silently, he had to know if it was the Rattle or not. Standing behind Sinistra he began to examine the girl. Relief and disappointment swept through him as he realised that it wasn't her, though the resemblence was remarkable.

"Contrarywise," he said, "The Rattle looks just like her."

He wasn't sure what to do now although he was of the opinion that contracting with this girl would be in his best interests, even if it was just so he could have a head start on Sinistra.

"I hope my brother didn't frighten you," said Destra, taking the girl's hand, "It's just that you look amazingly similar to someone we both knew once. My name is Destra, might I ask what yours is?"

He smiled to himself, by playing the nice and polite guy he would be more likely to gain her trust, of course, the fact that Sinistra had gone rampaging up to her like a bandersnatch would probably help too.

Isaiah "Grey" Gris

Grey nervously began to fiddle with his ponytail while humming the haunting tune again. He didn't know why but he was feeling panic starting to build up within him.

"I don't think I'm a people person," he whispered to Absolem, hoping that Rhia couldn't hear, "I'm not sure why but I'm feeling really scared."

Surely this wasn't logical, he had been expecting to feel nervous when meeting Rhia but this was just rediculous. Meeting a new person wasn't meant to overwhelm someone with fear.

"Absolem, I don't like it hear, something feels bad," he said, not bothering to lower his voice, he didn't care if Rhia or Cheshire heard him, he just wanted to leave.

He began to shuffle through his cards, trying to keep his mind occupied but his hands were shaking so badly that one of them slipped free. He watched in horror as it began to drift down to the ground. It was the Tower again.

"Danger," he said blankly just before screams began to ring out.

(OOC: Sorry for the length..I had a little too much fun with it..)

Cheshire

He stepped away from the girl, allowing her space to venture out and..socialize. His brows went up in confused amusement, when Rhia retorted his biting comment with a playful jest of her own. Perhaps, things would get better between them, he found himself thinking as his eyes trailed the child. "Well, I am a cat. It's my nature to bite, claw and bat." Seeing the girl creep behind him upon being under Absolem's scrutinizing stare brought about a small chuckle. It was like watching a new pet meet an old one for the first time. You find their uncertainty in their forced situation amusing, yet you hope they get along.

He watched with interest as she stepped, with new confidence, out from behind him. His eyes went wide at first as he watched her little charade, though upon her curtsy, he broke his silence, "A curtsy? You actually curtsied? Ha!" The way she poised herself as the perfect lady was almost too much to bare. He was nearly doubled over from laughing so hard. "Oh," he gasped between breaths, attempting to calm down, "Aren't you the little lady."

As his amusement subsided he listened to the area around him. What caused the horrible blight in his woods was near. He could feel it. He looked over as Caterpillar exchanged words with his child and wondered if he could sense it too.

Using Absolem's words as an excuse to get close to the pair, he manages to stand. Keeping his amused sense about him, he swiftly slides in a wisp of blurring colours before Grey and his chain. Leaning with one arm on the boy's shoulder, he bends down to whisper in his ear. His taunting voice is just loud enough for everyone to hear, "He's right boy. Like I said earlier, you never know who you can truly trust. Keep friends close and enemies closer. Though, with his reasoning, I think he's trying to hide the fact that he just likes me too much," still talking to Grey, he smirks mischievously upon the Caterpillar, though his eye blaze in warning. "Looks like you've got some competition." He stands and retreats quickly to Rhia's side, "I wouldn't worry though. He knows Cheshire's too much for him."

He didn't want to deal with panicked children or better yet let whatever out there feel they've been given away. That would be messy. Thus, his appearance remained that of his usual carefree self, though, he was having difficulty hiding his rising distress. The air was screaming and the already hiding foliage was withering away as the presence came closer. He could only hope Absolem could feel the growing presence and remain calm.

"Perhaps, we should take the conversation elsewhere?" He hoped he was still appearing 'normal'. He wasn't sure he was ready for battle. He knew Rhia wasn't and the last thing he wanted was for them both to die, or worse, become dolls, due to her inexperience. He eyed Absolem's boy, the fearfulness in the child catching his attention. The child could even sense something, he had to act quickly. He was about to speak when the boy muttered 'danger', but his voice was broken by a scream.

Grabbing Rhia he pulled her behind him. He hissed as his body twisted and morphed, his body becoming longer and gaining mass. His fingers elongated and hardened into sharp claws. His grin became sinister as his teeth curved and spiked, filling his mouth with multiple rows for destructive bite. Fur burst from his skin, coating him in random pulsing hues. The colours and air about him sparked like lightning as he saw the horrible mess of a girl run screaming towards them. The unfamiliarity and wretchedness of the girl caused him to almost attack. If it wasn't for the pursuing creatures he would have dug his claws into her small form. However, seeing as the child was running from the infected animals, he paused. His body was visibly shaking as his theory of the Plague became fact. All his hatred and fear came together fueling his transformation.

"Absolem!" he yelled, quickly throwing Rhia towards the Caterpillar; though it probably wouldn't sit well with the girl, he couldn't worry about that. Caterpillar was a creature he felt he could..trust and he needed to act now "Go! Warn the others!" His ferocity was aimed at the plague creatures, but he didn't know what to make of the child. He kept himself between them and the horrid girl and intruders. Their lives were on the line now. Everything depended on these first few moments. Cheshire was a creature of action and thus, he didn't stop to think if he was being 'heroic' or not. All he was concerned for was the safety of his contractor and for their to be at least on person alive whom other chains trusted if things went sour. He hoped Absolem would listen, he didn't know the full extent of Caterpillar's power, but being as he could levitate and force his will upon others he seemed he could manage a decent defense. Cheshire on the other hand..was more of a hands on persona.

With a roar, he rushed the horde swiping his claws easily through the infected flesh. He hoped the girl, whoever she was, was far enough away to not get mixed up in the action. Last thing they needed was a human for Jabberwockey to contract with.

Rhia

Rhia wasn't too thrilled her intimidation of the mint haired male fueled amusement for Cheshire, actually, that thought left a bad taste in her mouth, but she was trying to appear civil, so she ignored the laugh altogether. It's not funny.. she mentally pouted.
She didn't even flinch as he attempted to taunt her. I can easily be a lady, but it requires someone of equal manners. She spat back at the cat, however once again in her head of course, "Of course, just what did you tell them I was? You didn't go lying on me now did you?" She turned to look at Cheshire, eyes gleaming with mischevious intent. She wanted to make him look like the laughingstock infront of Absolem's human Grey. She wanted to make him eat his words, whether he liked the flavour or not.

Rhia dropped her head with a sigh, rolling her eyes, putting a hand in front of her mouth to hide her smirk from the cat as she loudly whispered to Grey, "He means to say, no one can handle his narcissistic nature and posessive tendencies." She giggles afterwards.

Rhia's mood however soon changed when she saw how Grey was reacting, a chill running down her spine, her hand slipping into her pocket to reassure herself, even if it were a false reassurance. She tensed when she heard the scream..was she the last to realize the tense situation? She was trying so hard to be likable..she was totally unaware to their surroundings. Crap.. this won't do.. if this was during the game.. I would've burdened Cheshire.. she wasn't even considering her own life except for the fact it would ruin his if she died due to the rules of the game.

Rhia was broke from her self-destructive thoughts when she was pulled behind Cheshire. She felt her eyes widen as he displayed a form she'd never seen before, and it.. kind of .. terrified her to be quite honest. She wasn't awoken from her petrified state until she felt herself hit the tall, ridged man. Is..cheshire going to handle it alone..? Is he going to get himself hurt? She couldn't help but worry about him. It was something instinctive for her to worry about others. She decided to not fuss or argue..she had nothing to throw on the table to help, so she knew she'd just get him hurt trying to protect her.. to be honest it surprised her that he was doing it in the first place. She'd seriously believed he'd of ran away at the first sign of danger. Was this about the game or would he normally protect others anyhow? She only remembered a blur after being levitated, green, brown, the sound of leaves. She closed her eyes, the fast movement was making her sick.. when she felt herself land on her butt, she opened her eyes getting up and dusting off. The green haired male looked..pale, sickly. Did he..over exert himself protecting her? Why? For Cheshire? Did he care so much about the Cat that he would even protect his contractor? Wow, he turned down an upperhand in the game before it started..maybe this guy only wants to appear as the bad guy..

Absolem

He looked to Grey, he tried to remain reassuring and calm, smiling to the boy. It couldn't be. The man didn't want to accept the fact the Jabberwocky was back, and kicking. He didn't want to accept the fact he, his contractor, Cheshire and the girl were all in for a world of hell if they didn't act soon.

"It takes..patience and tolerence." Absolem gave an odd quirk of a smile, "Shh, she might get offended.." he chuckles a bit, "I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you, nor will Cheshire. His hands are tied, he won't let that girl die. Are you sure it's the girl scaring you, or is it something else?" Absolem inquired. Could Grey be possibly picking up on this sinister air? The Jabberw- no. The sword tamed that plague. There's no way, this disease has to be something else..

"Well we're going to-" He pulled Grey to his side, his eyes were narrowed as he heard the scream, jaw clenched. Reality is the cruelest of all tortures. He muttered it mentally, his grip on the boy was firm, almost painful, but it was out of his frustration, the confirmation of their fears. Jabberwocky. He caught the girl as she was lunged at him as well, nodding at Cheshire, "I'm more concerned with the safety of these two. We'll worry about everyone else later!" he snaps back, picking up Grey bridal style, "It's easier to levitate the girl. If you feel any pain, I apologize. I've never contracted before, so I don't know if me using my telekinesis will effect you before you have obtained your own prowess." he warns the boy.

Within moments Rhia was floating in the air, it looked effortlessly, however, no one could possibly know how much strain it put on Absolem. With one last worried look towards Cheshire, the three of them were off. There was an obvious strain in Absolem's eyes, although he kept his features the same as always; calm and nonchalant. He wasn't used to levitating others for extended time periods, but carrying both humans was out of the question for the tall scrawny man. He just was not strong enough to carry two people. Then option two was also out of the question. All three traveling on foot would lead to obvious disasters. Someone always falls during those types of chases..Cheshire would never forgive me if the girl got hurt.. He's already so protective.. His headache grew worse with every step, it was already at a dull throbbing pain.

Maybe I should have worked on outside levitation first. Hopefully the Jabberwocky won't pursue the three of us and Cheshire will be able to escape in one piece.. Absolem concentrated on keeping the girl up when he felt her almost lower. He felt tree branches whip his face as he sprinted, tearing open the skin, crimson liquid barely surfacing to the cuts. Caterpillar was doing his best to keep Grey and Rhia out of harm's way of the trees, but getting away from the Jabberwocky's reach was his main concern. He felt his face stinging, various cuts along him. Arms, legs, face. They all bore signs he'd been in a rush. He looked like he got in a fight with a tree. Despite getting cut and the pain of carrying Rhia with his telekinesis, it didn't seem to bother the man if one only judged his facial expression. He kept his fast running pace despite him carrying the other male the entire way. He hadn't a choice. It was run or die, simple as that. However, Absolem wasn't indestructable. Even he had a limit.

He cleared a good mile before he was unable to levitate the girl or carry Grey any longer. To avoid completely giving the two humans a crash landing, he quickly lowered Rhia safely to the ground, then gently allowed Grey to stand on his own feet. With a sigh of relief Absolem was holding his head in both hands, his slender frame rested on a tree, "I can't... we can't..travel like this anymore.. we need to keep going though.." he was exhausted, sweating. He overexerted himself mentally through his ability. It could only be guessed how much his head was aching, his face surely never expressed his pain or emotions. Cheshire..don't you die on me or this child.. his eyes looked to Rhia.

Isaiah "Grey" Gris

Grey squeaked as Absolem picked him up, he hadn't been expecting it and the position he was left in was a little embarassing, but he knew now wasn't the time to worry about whether he looked like a blushing bride or not. As Absolem began to run, levitating Rhia as he went, a pain began to grow in the back of Grey's mind.

"Is this what he's feeling?" thought Grey, "Surely it's not that bad."

Suddenly, the pain surged forward in a blinding burst before returning to its previous ache. It was then that he knew that he was only feeling a fraction of what Absolem was feeling, he could share Absolem's pain at a toned down level yet still know how bad it was for him.

"He'll kill himself if he has to do this for too long," he thought in a panic.

He knew that he'd be devastated if that happened, despite only having known the man for a short while, he felt that he had bonded with him, if the truth was told, Absolem was the closest thing he had to a friend. He was relieved when Absolem finally came to a stop.

"Absolem...I..." he said, voice shaking.

Silently he walked up to the man, taking his hands down from his head and holding them for a few moments before wrapping the man in a tight hug and clinging to him like a child, tears threatening to spill from his eyes. He didn't care what Rhia thought, she could never understand what Absolem had done so they could get away, the man had definitely earned his trust now.

"I can't believe you were willing to go through so much pain for us to get away," said Grey, stepping away from the man, hoping he hadn't embarassed him, "Are you going to be ok to walk? Like you said, we need to keep moving."

In the distance he could still hear the din from whatever it was that had run out of the wood. He hoped that Cheshire was alright.

Duchess Sophie

"My word child," said the Duchess, shocked, "Have you never played croquet? This is a croquet mallet."

Sometimes the girl seemed so intelligent but then she couldn't even identify something as simple as a croquet mallet.

"Well now, not too bad," said the Duchess glided out of the way of the first slash, "Of course there's always room for..."

She broke of the sentence as she was forced to block the second of Belca's attacks with her mallet, it appeared the girl was a little faster than she anticipated. So the girl was fast and judging by the sound of the impact from the sword, she was reasonably strong too.

"Overall, rather decent on the offensive," thought the Duchess, "But lets see how well she defends."

Without a word she dashed towards the girl, twisting gracefully to the side at the last moment before jumping into the air and spinning around behind the girl.

"Behind you," cried the Duchess in a singsong voice, bringing the mallet down.

Destra/Tweedle Dum

"Well, there are others like you that have been brought here," explained Destra, "And as unpleasant as it sounds, you must eliminate them to win, it's the only chance you have for survival."

Destra wondered how the girl would react to this news, he wasn't sure if she would approve of the concept behind the game, but then again, she had no choice but to play, just like everyone else.

"I know it's a grim prospect but don't worry, you don't actually have to kill anyone," he said, hoping this would make it sound better, "And you get to have someone help you or perhaps protect might be a better word, all you need to do is enter a contract."

This was the moment, if she agreed to join him in a contract then he'd be in the game with a shot at winning.

"I know we've only just met but I was wondering if you might consider me," he said, shyly, taking off his cap and looking away bashfully, "If you contract with me, it'd be in both our best interests."

With luck the nervously cute display would have won her over, after that it'd be game on.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee

He watched on in disgust as his brother began to act all shy and bashful, if that was how he was going to do things then two could play at that game.

"Co-contrarywise," he stuttered, shuffling his feet nervously, "It'd be in both our best interests if you contract with me."

He was sure that the girl would overdose on cuteness any time soon, who could resist two insecure guys that were too scared to talk to a girl, he always thought this act was brilliant when trying to win someone over, the only thing that seemed to work better was the brotherly love routine that he had used to pull with Destra long ago. In any case, he was sure that he'd be the one she picked, he naturally had the warmer personality.

"Or n-n-not," he mumbled, purposefully stuttering again, "I don't want you to feel like I'm pressuring you or anythng."

He was satisfied that he had milked the act for all it was worth, soon she'd make a decision and then it would all begin.

Horror

Gina could only look on in terror as the being before her changed into some massive beast. Her eyes catch sight of the others, the large man and two children..as they abandon her! 'No! Don't leave me here...please!' her thoughts scream, as her steps falter; the horde passing her by. 'They left me. WIth that monster!' she cast a quick glance at the thing that had once been Cheshire. It was terrifying. In her fear she forgot about her pain for a moment...and that was when the voice spoke to her again; a moment of pure weakness.

"I͢ ̴̕ç̡a͡n m͝ak͝è͘ ҉e͜͠v̛́͡e҉r̛yt̡͢h̴͜í̕n̵g̨̢͟ B̰̲̩͎͈̺̠̉̐̀E͎̫Ţ̜ͬ́ͧ̓̉̎̍T͓̩ͥ̈ͫ̾͑̚Ẽ̜̤̭͑̌͊̆R̖͚͖̹̤̬͌͂̐ͥ̍͆" it whispered, as the child shakes. By now the mass of creatures had reached the cat, sending wave after wave crashing against his defenses; Cheshire would have no problem killing the small beasts, who only bit and scratched at him, but there was just far to many for him to handle. Eventually the cat would need to retreat, or be overwhelmed. And through it all the voice whispers to Gina. "I҉ ́w͝o̧n'͡t abando͞n ͡y̸o̷u͟.̷" it promises, "Y͑ͥͥ͛ôͮͮ͌ͮủ̶̀̇̉͐ ̔ͨ̇̂Dͬͨ̏́ͪ͏ON͠'̀̿ͣ͊̊̆Tͧ̾̆ ̉ͪ̎ͨͪͩ͋n̿ͧ̾ͮęͭͧ͗e̒͐̀͏d͐ͯ̀͐̎̂ ͩ͗t̷͒͆ͧ̎ơ͊ͦ̾̔̾̓ ̡ͤ̾̍b̉e͂ͪ̉ a͐ͤ͌͘l͂̍o̧ͭͧ̉ne͛̋̃̇ͯͥ͢ ͛ͪ͆͛͑̇h̅̾̌̊̚ě̑r͛͌̅ę̌̔.̧͐͌̅̃ͫͭ"

Slowly the broken girl opens her eyes, back on the beach of her mind...and opens the castle's gates. "..Ok, just make it stop hurting. And please, make the monster go away!" and with that the blackness rushes in. The castle falls...and all that's left is Jabberwocky.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Freedom. Once again extending the limbs, and allowing the damage to show clear, it abandoned the ruse; it's plan had worked. Alienate the child, force her to feel pain and make her witness horror..and then she would BEG for a contract. Now Jabberwocky was complete.

"Here k̈́̄͌̀̂͑ͭ̽͡i̵̐̀̈́̓ͦ̉̈͡t̵̄ͣ̀͜t̓́́͑͟ỹ̎̓ͬ͝͡ ̶̧ͫ̎̐͑K̡̢͑ͮ̔ͪ͑̈͊̈́I̵̓̓ͪ͐̽́t̓̃̀t̶̢̄̎̅ͪͪͧYͯ̓̐̇͡ ̡̔̏̃͋̇ͯ̀Ķ̀ͪ̉I̍̉͑͐̿̂̕T̃ͣͪTͯ͂ͮ̈̚Y̵ͫͪ̑ͭ̒ͤ͌͑͛..." the being calls out, as with a gesture a new wave of mutated beasts slams against Cheshire's battered placement. These were the bigger creatures; dogs, wolves even a few bears. Cheshire was in trouble now. "Was that Caterpillar I saw before? How q̴̴͟u̶̴ain̨͟t̨́͡.." The beast grins it's mangled teeth at the Cheshire, as the lips split in a caricature of the cat's own grin. Cheshire

Blood coated his fur as he thrust his claws through the infected creatures. He was going through the motions now. Everything from those horrible days came back with a force and he easily remembered the steps. He grazed through the horde. It was almost enjoyable. Their meat was soft and was no match against his kinfe-like claws, however their number was becoming troublesome. His breathing was becoming strained as he attempted to attack and dodge the mass of animals. Thankfully with small creatures, comes small attacks. Their tiny claws and teeth barely cutting through his fur and reaching his flesh. He roared as the wave continued.

He managed to glance around and see that Absolem had retreated with the children. He mentally sighed as relief swelled within him. He didn't want to have to worry about watching others whilst defending himself. He hoped they made it a safe distance away. The way Jabberwockey was playing, who knew how many creatures could have been infected throughout these woods. His relief soon was replaced with dread when his eyes caught the strange little girl. She was still here?! Cheshire cursed under his breath. He didn't want to take on anymore strays than need be and he didn't want to deal with an infected child, especially if she contracted with the beast. "Stay back!" He ordered as he ripped through an other mass of creatures.

He was doing his best to keep the animals away and his movements were starting to slow. How many of these damn things are there? He mentally spat, throwing the cluster of creatures off of him. His thoughts paused however when a familiar scream shocked his senses. He turned, horrified to see that once was the little girl was now a black, mutilated mess. "Freedom!" Cheshire's eyes widened in terror upon realizing the child was just a ruse, that Jabberwockey was in her the entire time. "No.." he groaned as he watched the girl brought forth an other wave of much larger infected creatures. Somehow, Jabberwockey used him to contract with the poor girl. He cursed himself for it. "Damn you!" he bellowed against Jabberwockey's taunts, thrusting his claws into the thicker flesh of the larger infected. He was furious. His eyes no longer held a specific colour as every hue blazed forth, hiding his irises. His fur blazed similarly as he wrenched his way through the crowd of beasts. He would have Jabberwockey's head.

His goal stopped short, however, due to the multitude of bigger beasts. Already tiring from the smaller creatures, keeping up with larger more powerful ones was soon to be out of the question. Already, his skin was burning from the vicious swipes and bites from various wolves, bears and dogs. He gave one helpless glance around his beloved forest before he clenched his eyes and succumbed to defeat. Expelling a purple mist, he shrunk into his smaller cat form and darted, swiftly between the larger animals. He clawed his way through the now-equal-sized smaller creatures, fading here and there to lessen the wounds they lashed out. As he neared the edge of the horde he jumped towards the thick foliage and disappeared, leaving his beloved sanctuary behind. Tears threatened to fall as he pushed himself to race through the forest. He had to find Absolem and Rhia. He prayed they were alright.

Call to arms.

The being watched without care as Cheshire retreats; it mattered not how far or fast the cat fled...he could not escape the tide that would wash across Wonderland. A gesture, one felt through the thralled animals, tugs at Mr. Tibbs..summoning the dog-beast. The mount was needed. "Well well W̘͈̪͓̍̓͝E̛͓͖͕͆̓̓ͫ͜͝ͅḶ̴̾ͮ͂̊̃ͧLͬ̈̏͑̓ͬ̑͆҉̠̻͕͘ it seems the cat wants to play the part of the M̴̧̢̞̥̰̰͓̼̳̭̙̺̭̼̜͑ͣ̇ͮͮ̓ͣ̈́ͩ̽̑͠͠O̡̡̹̳̙͇̳͎̹̻̺̥̦̻̻͈̳͉͕ͪͦͣ̎̇̇̊ͦ̄̌͑̊͝ͅƯ̶̒̍͊͌̃̔ͯ͡҉̱͕̗̥̟̝̠̣S̶̘̻̭̦̫ͩ͗ͣͮ͌̀͘Ę̬͈̟̗̹͚̝̟̞͉ͧͭ͂ͮͯͥ̌͋̊̄ͬ̑̈̑̋͗̾̃́ͅ. Interesting." A thought, and the mass of ripped flesh the cat had made of it's slaves stirs. Not even in death is one free of the Jabberwocky.

The mass pools together around the feet of what was once Gina, "Now, little one. We become S̶̳̬̭̫̙̺͕͕̝ͩ̆͒̈ͫ̉̌̔̒̎ͮ́ͮ̈́́͘͡ͅT̢̤̪̺̤͉̪̯̖͍̳̰̀̏̏̀̏̿͋̀̿͑͆̆̆̽͌̐̒̚̕͟͡R̶̡̺͇͙̞̗͙̟͈̮̀̏ͯ͛̊ͣͫ̄͋ͬ̂́ͪ̋̆͐̚͠O̡͔̺̖̲͖̗̟̔̀̇̾̆ͥ̈ͣ͛ͯ̇͐́̀͡ͅN̴̸̛̙̲̝̟̬͖̬͔̞ͤ͂ͥ̍̏̐̾͗G̶̮͚̥̮͔̟̫͈͕̥͇̙͉̬͉̯̘̐ͦ̈́ͭ̿͊̓ͤ̐̚͝E̵̡̗̱̦̭̣͕͙̙͎̥̗̫̭͚͐̊ͤ̒̑̄ͧ̆̀ͭͫ̿̅̅̄̐̒͞R̡͚̗̻̼̳͇̙̩̩͎̪̭͙̹͈̊̾̏̾͊̔̿ͦ͋ͧ̔ͮͦ̀͟."

Gina was not scared anymore, instead she felt a rush. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced before, as soon as she agreed to the..thing all the pain went away, all the fear. She felt like a million bucks! Some of the stuff she was was ucky, but it didn't seem so bad anymore. The dead animals all seemed to melt together into a brackish pool of hot mess, one the swirled about her feet. She even felt something akin to butterflies in her belly as the voice addressed her with a new warmth. "O-okay. Will it hurt?"

To her surprise she found herself back on her mind's beach, the castle gone..in it's place was a spread blanket, se about with a picnic. The basket was loaded full of all the things she liked to eat, there was even a bottle of orange soda set out. Her eyes sweep across the spread, only then noticing the doll. It was the same one as before, only now it was larger. "Please...have a S̨̗̰͇̪͎̫͍̣͚̯̬̩͍̼͚̮͖̅̓̇ͭ̀͘͢Ë̂̀̍̓̔̄̚̕͞҉̙͇͚̻͕̦̹A̶͈̬͓̯̱̫̹͔͎͔̰͂͂̓ͧ̓ͧ̀̀͠T̶̿ͪ͐̂̔͐́ͪͭ͏҉̗̺͓̥̦͍͖̟̱̼͚͍̲ͅ.." it spoke with that strange voice. "You can wait here, while I make us S̴̵͇̯̠ͤ̄ͧ̈̓̿͘͠T̶̛͍̤̲͙̞͕̠͗ͧ͐̄̓́̃̈́̍͐ͭ͐̋̉̍̔ͬ̇́̕R̷̵̠͎͈̬͙̣͉̣̙̞̣͍̺͍̟̊͛ͨ̋̽ͧ̑̒ͮͥ͞ͅȎ̵̡̨̧̲̥̲͗ͫͨͣ̒ͬ͐͛̅̊̓͢N̵̿̓̎̀̐ͮ͐̐ͥͨͭ͐͆͒̇ͩ̚͜͏͈̞̱͕̝̹̪͓̳̖̟̣ͅG̿ͫ̃̇̆̐ͯͨͬ̋ͤ͒ͥͯ̈́́͘҉̗̝̘̙͎̭̻̺̼̩͔̩̙͓͍̗͎̗Ę̨͎̺̣̗͓̾̑̋ͦ̓͂̑̓̎͋̀̐́̊̒͂̓́̿Ŗ̢̮͈̪̼͆̉̇̊͆̆͞"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the being returned it's focus to reality it discovered that it's mount had arrived. With a motion Jabberwocky commands the beast to feed, forcing what was once a dog to devour a portion of the oozing flesh. The remains of his horde would help the mount to bulk up some, it's skeletal frame gaining mass, while more of the stuff flows up onto it's exterior. "EateateatE̷̷͇͖̖̰̯̦̲̳̯͈̻̲̖͛ͤ̍̐ͧ̈́ͮ̿̌͟A̸̴̛̪̤̣̲̭̟̬̭̦̙̗̦̩͚̒̎ͯ͌ͫ͆̓̓ͯ̒ͅT̙̤̞̪̩͉ͪ̅̑͐͗̏̃͂̔̌̑ͤ̑̈́́͘͝.." the Jabberwocky babbles, as the mass flows up onto Gina's form as well. It was time for a makeover.

The goo hardens almost instantly, crystallizing into black blades and chitinous armor plates. What was once a dog now resembles an armored boar..the size of clydesdale. Black tusks that ran a foot long curled from it's snout, while a long bone-bladed tail lashes from side to side. Massive hoof-like growths of the blackened bone material supported the now heavily muscular frame. It still retained the toned mass of it's birth- Doberman, but was so far beyond as to have little comparison any longer.

Gina however looked the part of a nightmare fully now.

A black knight, standing about six feet tall, cloaked in a mixture of the black mist and the super-hard armored mass. Long bone-blades protrude from the elbows, while smaller thicker ones extend from both the knees and shoulder in clumps. Taking a note from Mr. Tibbs design the feet of the girl have been replaced by hooves as well, the knee's bend reversed to allow faster movement. It's face is most striking however; one half a grinning rictus, pale flesh torn to expose bone and black blood, while the other half lies encased in an armored shell modeled after a skull with razor teeth.

Rider and mount complete...Jabberwocky Springs onto the back of the mighty beast, and urges it onward. They had a cat to catch.

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was D̢͛̂ͩͮ̇̋̌͊͟͏̳̰̦͈̰̥̲͔͔̤͈̙̬͕͈̗̤ͅE̶̛͉̘͈̲̙̜̮̜͖͉̣̖͒̋͗̓̾̍̏̅̈ͭ̑̑̅͆̄̎̊ͤ̚ͅA̴̹̮͔͚̙̪̦̥̮̼ͯ̈́ͦ̇̌̓̅̈́̀̚T̉͌͑̑ͣ͐̍ͪ͌̎̔̏̈ͩ̍ͥͩ͞҉̧̨̲̣̣̤̬͙͈̖̳̹̙̥̭͖̯͝H̷̦̠̻͕̫̦͓̘͓̬͙ͩ͂̂̇̇̑ͮ̽ͣ̓̂͗ͯͣ̃̎ͭ̀̚, and Hell followed with him...." the being speaks, as Tibbs launches after the cat, who while in the lead...would soon find that gap closing.

Nightmare March.

Jabberwocky owned the forest. There was no question of it. The smell of decay filled the air, the trees were blackened skeletons with claws reaching upwards. The animals, those that were not in thrall to the beast, lay in rotting heaps near the pit from which the being emerged. Booby traps. With the woods under control...the next area would be the Duchess' home. All was going according to plan, soon the castle would be under it's control. Then the way out of Wonderland would be in it's grasp.

A parade of degenerates moves through the woods, a mass of arms, teeth..screaming in a thousand voices. At it's head is the rider. For a moment it had thought of chasing the cat, then Gina, little innocent Gina had a wonderful idea. "Why not bring more of our friends? We could have a P̧͎̝͚̙̱̹̗̎ͬ̍ͮ͌͝͡͠͠ͅA̵̧͈̯͍̯̤̹̫͓͍̙̝̠̓̽̓̏̍̂́̒Ṟ̴̷͖̹̪͚̘̜̼̳̃͗ͣ̊̍̃̆̇̎̒̑̊̂ͪͬ̓̑ͮ̿T̢̢͓͓͓̞̞̭̺͉͔͚̗̣̬̺̯̫̲̝͛͑̉̈́̊ͧ̔ͣ̄̂ͭ͡͡ͅÝ̧̭̭̮̺̤̬̝̱͔̱̅̇̀͐ͬ̅̔̿͛͟!" Why not indeed? So, as the being waited, it's mental force swept the forest, gathering to it some of the largest beings it could control as well as a horde of smaller ones as fodder. Now the seething mass of corruption swarms towards the smell of pepper.

Jabberwocky, sitting astride the massive Tibbs reaches down and grasps the spinal column of a passing freak, and rips it free. With a flex of it's mind the vertebrae change, merging together into one long bone, tapered into points on the ends. The being repeats this until it has three bone-spears, each about four feet long. A whisper from it's mass, hissing as if steam escaped a valve somewhere in it's chest, and out flows the black mist again. This time the mist acts as fingers, grasping the bones, keeping them floating about the main body of Jabberwocky. "Perhaps...a spot of T͗̿̔͂̇̊̿̿̍͊͌͐͆̓ͦ̉̊ͬ҉̞͇͈̤̬͕̦͉͇͔̳̠̦̙͕͜Ė̩͚͔̩͎̝̜̭̝̠͒̈ͤͧ̈́̎ͫ͂ͥ̌ͦ́̀͘͠Ȃ̸̵̵̪̬̩̣̠̞̲̘͚̹̦͖ͬ̽ͯ̂͐̎̇̚͘̕ͅ first...then the pig-woman."

With a savage sound, thousands of voices as one, the being roars into the sky, and angles it's charge towards the location of the Endless Tea-Party. Home of Mad Hatter and the March Hare. The mass follows Jabberwock's blistering pace.

Tea P̳̖͊ͦ͒̋ͬ̆A̝͆̓̐̓ͩ̀ͦ͒ͨ́Ȓ̸̴̜̭̙̱͎̱̏̊͋̓̎Ț̪͇͔̯͎̰͙͓̽ͣͫ̚̚͜Y̫̰͍̥̲̩̽̑̎̒

Hatter, Doormouse and March Hare had all returned to their domain after the meeting, seeking to resume the endless party, after all..it WAS someone's Unbirthday SOMEWHERE. The three chains were so engrossed in swapping seats, pouring tea and eating plates rather than the cookies that lay scattered about, that then never even noticed the sky growing darker. The wind growing colder. It wasn't until the tea turned black and oily that they blinked and looked about. And by then it was far too late.

The first to fall was March Hare, her back had been to the forest, so as the bone-lance spears out through her chest in a red spray it coats the table. Before the others can do more than gasp the bone changes, the protruding end opening like a deranged flower, and Hare is yanked backwards into the woods. Her gasping screams cut short with a wet tearing sound. Hatter blinks, absently pouring tea into an overflowing cup. The whole thing had been over in seconds. The wet sounds continue for a moment, then stop..leaving the forest mute.

Realizing the pouring error, Hatter allows another cup to pour from the pot, and catch the flowing tea before calling out, "Hare? Your tea is getting hot, or cold. One can never be sure of these things." he pauses, and shakes the pot, allowing two cubes of sugar, a spoon and a bit of milk to all plop out into the cup. "Honestly, if you were going to go for a walk you could have cleaned up after yourself.."

Hatter was mad. That was not in question.

The mouse was awake. That much was suspiring. She looked wide eyed from the sprayed blood over to Hatter, a twitch ticking just under the skin below her left eye. "We must flee! Hatter, whatever that was it just killed Mad March!" she stands, drawing her sword and moving to defend her loony friend.

Hatter just sighs, abandoning the prepared cup, in favor of a plate of cake. "You are rather excitable today. What ever is the reason it can wait, March will be along shortly, she just had to hop off. Get it? Hop. Oh my." he chuckles some, lifting the cake, only to somehow drink tea from it like a cup. "I do crack myself up."

During the brief exchange the wet sounds returned, only softer..and coming closer. Doormouse, realizing Hatter was not even paying attention moves towards the sound, blade held ready. As the figure moves from the trees she lunges forward..only to stop short- almost running March through, "Oh my goodness! March! Are you-"

She stops, as the light reveals Mad March fully; the gaping hole where the bone impaled her now stuffed with a strange black goo, it beat like a heart- because that was what it was now. Jabberwocky liked to make it so it's hosts were dependent on it for life. Separation would mean Mad March had no heart...and death would be quickly upon her. Other damage shows in ripping wounds along the Hare's face- a mock grin made from exposed bone in the skull. She was quite changed from her usual self, now a shambling monster of black fangs and exposed bone talons.

Doormouse realizes to late her mistake in hesitating, only to have two objects ram into her from behind- coming neatly out through her eye sockets...darkness and pain are all she feels as the mist seeps in. In moments she too is enslaved. Her eyes now black masses of ooze, the balls themselves transplanted into the palms of her hands. Pink hair falls out in clumps, taking skin with it..she is soon just as deformed and monstrous as the rest of Jabberwocky's minions.

Mad Hatter sips his tea, blinking at the scene before him. In a way he knows they are gone from him, but his mind just can't handle something so...unhappy. He sighs, then, as a new figure enters the clearing- the other two backing away and kneeling. This new figure, one Hatter can remember slightly, simply takes a seat and pours itself a cup of tea. "So, it's that time already?" he asks, feeling a cold chill.

"Yes. Lets get going then. Your tea is getting C̢̗̼̝̼ͩ̓͂̆͑ͪͨ̽O̢̢̙̭̪̣͚͓̺̓͌̀ͯ͂ͥͤL̶͕̻͎͙̗͌̓͋ͫͫͪͥͤD̦̪̭̗̳̻̙̫̅̓̄ͥ̎̊ͧ͞." the figure nods, and slides the cup over. It's contents bubble and swirl, blackness with a faint haze of mist. Hatter sighs, and lifts the cup to his lips, and drinks.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jabberwocky stands, the tea party over. With a nod it collects it's three newest additions and leaves the clearing...it's taint already turning the table black, rotting the wood. Cups crack. A tea pot crumbles. The grass dies in a large circle expanding from where the beast had sat. The Endless Tea Party was over.

Pit

While the Jabberwocky's main self was away, it had not left the pit unguarded. A tingle, a warning- something was in it's domain.

With a sudden shift, perspective whipping back to the pit, the beast allowed one of it's 'pets' eyes to open. What looked at first to be three mounds of rotting flesh, set in a triangle around the pit's mouth, were in fact three guardians: Left over from the last time Jabberwocky had been free- Chains. Gryphon, Dodo and The Mock Turtle. The poor creatures had been taken by the Jabberwocky last time, and sealed away with it this whole time. Over the years it's whispers had driven them mad, made them break to it's will. Long thought dead, or lost..they had simply been cast off in the haste of sealing away the monster. They only knew hate now, and pain.

"A̡̙̯̖͗̈̾̊̉̆̒̋͠ͅW̬̠̤̯̝͓̗̽ͯ̈A͚̪̖̋ͧͧ̐̉̊K̞̮̖̘̗̭ͨ́E̫͍͒̋ͥ̑̆̏N̘̻̓̾̏̍.̣̒ͣ̒̅̚͞" the voice commanded- and echoed across the dead forest, every tree whispering the word, every blackened mouth on every creature. To take the blade, to free it's power, one would have to face the true power of the Jabberwocky- Alice or no..she would find herself at an impasse: Enter it's realm and face possible corruption, granting the creature her powers- which it would use to wreak havoc, or she could wait, and try to send a gathering of sane Chains in- even should they fail to free the blade..they may distract the creature enough to slip in. Either way...there would be no sneaking about, it knew all that entered it's lands- every tree was a spy, every creature a mouth. It saw the red mist through a thousand eyes, and grinned crooked teeth from a million mouths. "Ä́ͮͮ҉҉̨͔̥L̺̪̒̊̑͆̚Ḷ̛̬͔̱̜̺͇̳ͦ̐ͫ̐L̷̸͓̭̩̥͍͚̯̺̀ͭ͊̑Ĺ̡̺͔̦͇̦̣̲ͭ͢L̘̔ͭͦ͛͋̈́͜I̶͂̅̈́̈́ͣ̂̏̌͘͏̳̩͔̩͉͈̩C̬̹͚̰͂̄̎Ȩ̳̱̦̱͚͎̊̍ͪ̐̉̇ͧẼ̻̣̬̺̺̬̝̆͂̊̎̈͂̐E͍̮͇͕͔͈̻ͫ̈̎̀Ḛ̣̞̀͂ͯͩ̋̏̋̄͡Ẹ̝̯̟̪͚̠̎͑͒̌̉.̯̫̰̬̀ͦͣ̾.ͪ͆̔̍ͨ҉̫̩͕̥͕͉͇̬"

The girl's mind may be god in her Wonderland, but this place...it was no longer hers, it was an extension of the pit- the Jabberwocky's realm. Every god has a devil, and in this case he was on his home turf. The three mounds stir, as a blackened beak, a bladed paw and a skeletal wing rip free from their casing. The three ancient Chains were clearly changed.

Gryphon was the first to free itself, it's beak allowing for a swift tearing of it's mound- what emerged however was hideous; filth encrusted, with tumorus growths sagging from various points. It's claws gleaming like black diamonds, while it's beak looked caked in burnt mess. Wild eyes scan the area, swimming with black goo. Deformed, it's wings mere stubs, now just ruined bones. With a sound of rage and misery it screeches into the sky.

The Turtle and Dodo follow in rapid succession, each spilling forth in a torrent of gore. Mock Turtle looked to be even more mixed up than it had in the past. It's head was a snakes, while it's arms looked to be those of a tiger. The shell had grown spikes, in the fashion of a Snapping Turtle, while the legs bore hooves. A long tail completes the mutant, scorpion, with a massive sting at the tip. Dodo however still was a bird, though with far less skin, and more bone showing. Of the three he seemed the least horrible- until it opened it's beak. With a sound like wet meat sliding across a parking lot it's tongue slaps outward, revealed as a skinless arm. As if it was over there, the hand opens, revealing both an eye and a mouth in the palm. Jabberwocky was madness, and it's minions displayed it.

The three furies waited- should the mind of Alice come towards the pit, they would be waiting- while the smaller creatures of the forest would pose no threat to the body-less mist, three of the oldest Chains infused with Jabberwocky's taint would be much harder to battle. Not to mention the beast itself...it would not stand idle while someone went after the Vorpal blade...it was not stupid mind you. It had planned ahead, leaving three of it's most powerful thralls behind as guards. It would do one well not to underestimate the beast- it was violent and crude..but ever so smart.

Bacon? MMm.

While the three beasts guarded it's pit, the three newest Chains were sent on an errand. Hatter and March were to wander- spreading the taint of Jabberwocky in their wake, infecting new realms and finding more Chains. Doormouse however had instructions of her own; she was to head towards the realm of pepper and pigs, Duchess' home. She would not go alone, with her strode minions of the two conquered realms- Spiderlike tea pots that dribbled steaming ooze from their spouts, large bear-beasts from the forests and a horde of smaller creatures. She lead a small army. Sword at her side she marched, the beings forming ranks behind her.

Jabberwocky itself would resume it's search for that cat; images and memories filled in gaps from the three newest Chains- they told a story of a mushroom land, secret houses that vanished from sight and singing-biting flowers. While none of the three knew EXACTLY where the home of Caterpillar was, they did know in a vague way where it was located. Gina had seen the Cat with the Green haired man, and Jabberwocky had a feeling Absolem may know where Cheshire had gone. Mentally praising the girl for noticing details, ones the beast was too busy to see, Jabberwocky sets off in the direction of the Mushrooms.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Hatter had changed since drinking the black tea; his gut had rotted right out, as if the stomach had filled with acid and burst. Deep inside his head he knew that it should hurt, but the Jabberwocky had taken away such concerns. Instead he found himself more and more thirsty- but no matter what he drank it just poured right back out through the hole. "This is just unacceptable. Nope. Just won't do." he mutters, trying in vain to hold a hand over the gaping wound as he drank straight from a pot; needless to say he failed, the liquid just running out through gaps. "How is a man supposed to enjoy his tea, when it just falls right back out again?"

March, who had been toying with the pulsing black filled hole in her chest shrugged and paused in her stride "Least you have a heart. I have this...ooze beating away in my chest. This was a nice jacket too." She shook her head, the voice of the monster urging her onward- the fresh Chains still had free-will to a degree, but Jabberwocky controlled how alive they stayed. Should it tire of them it could simply turn them into puppets. "We should never have invited that thing."

Hatter blinks and looks over at his traveling companion "That is most true. It will be removed from tomorrows guest list."

Some things don't change- Madness is one of them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doormouse didn't like her new eyes, they itched. Her old ones kinda worked still, but it was hard to see when she used them- being in her palms and all. The new ones were black, made from the Jabberwocky's own essence- they let her see not only from her point of view but from any of the monstrous horde she walked with. Unnerving, but interesting. She had initially hoped to go with Hatter on his easy walking mission, but the beast's voice in her head had other plans. SHe was to lead an army on Duchess' home.

Already the beast had filled her in on her army's abilities; the Pots would act as artillery- lobbing balls of steaming ooze down onto the area, while the smaller creatures would act as infantry and rush in to strike. The bears were her personally vanguard- heavy hitters that would wade into the thick of things to deal massive damage. She could either sit back or join the fray- Jabberwocky had left that upto her. "Duchess never did me wrong, but never did me good either." she yawns, looking about for familiar landmarks. It would be a long walk, she was already sleepy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Why do you wanna hurt everybody?" Gina asked the doll, sitting on her little beach. She had joined willingly with the monster, and had since been treated good. She saw some of what happened and heard most, but the beast's mind remained locked from her.

"I just want to go H͈̜̼͒ͫ́͆ͦ͒̀O̔҉̥̥̥̘̥͓̳͍M̼͔̟̏̀͂ͨ͌̑͞Ë́͏͕͙̹͉̦́." it replied, oozing through her fingers to pool on the sand like melted ice cream. "This world is not mine, it belongs to a S̸̶͔̪̩͎̔ͫP̜̞͕̮͖̦̭̀͐͗ͦͦ́͡Õ̱͚̘̥̟̲̠̬̗ͮ̈̀͜I͍̲̞͙̝̺̠̝̍̐̅̎́͘͢ͅL̢̙͔̘̙͇̻̮̳͋̇̈́͘͞E̸͔̝͔͚̺̣̐̈́̐Ḍ̛̻͙̪̳̝̺͎̑͊̎͐͆͂̅͟ ̵̘̟̪̥͚͍̙ͣ̊̍̂̅͆̚B͉͙̬͖̺̟̜͙̭̂̀R̝̰ͧ̀͑̅͗̊͐͡A̪͕̣͎̟̍T̳̙̝̝̮̼̤̬̙̍͗̍͡. It's voice was so odd, never the same- like it was made of thousands of people.

"I wanna go home too. I'll help you, so we can both go home." she smiled at the goo, as it reformed into her dolls again.

Siege

Doormouse launched her strike- From the woods would come a hiss...then a rapid 'pop'ing- as hundreds of objects sail into the air...and down in an arc onto Duchess' home. Where they impacted the wood would crack, and splinter as the balls of black goo had been pressurized by the Spiderpots. The balls would then melt back into gel, and seek entry. There were those that missed, impacting in the surrounding yard- taking out pigs and lawn decoration in the process. The Spiderpots pause the strike, reloading. In the pause Doormouse calls from the thick woods-

"Duchess, it's time to come out and give up. If you do, no harm will come to you or those within- we only want to M̨̋̈́͊ͯ̑̀̍ͧ̏҉̵̹̙̖̳̘̠̲A̭͎̼̱̰͇͓͔̾ͦͩ̔̒͑ͧͦ̚͜K̝̜͈̜̑̄ͧͬ͢͝E̖̥͕̦̪͎̘͓̱͐͂͘ ̶̱̰̜̄̍Ư̸̤̱̗̭̬̼̑ͭ̿ͨͫͧͤS̪̩̲̝ͧ̈̀ ̩̼̩̼̗͕͙͈̂ͩẆ̡̻̠͐̃͊̆͛͌͂͡Ḣͫ҉̻͚̜̩̤̲Ȯ̶̻̳͔͚͔͖͖̜͙ͥ̀͞L̨̜̳͑̓̒͟Eͪ̊͊̅͂ͦ͏̴̛̣̹͕̖̞̺̳̘!" the voice ends with splitting laughter, the sound cracking into multiple voices. Jabberwocky was having fun.

The next salvo comes just as the first- slamming into the home, cracking and splintering the roof. The goo-balls would drip their way into the building quickly, or the roof would simply give out. Either way, should Duchess and her girl remain inside they were doomed.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Doormouse sneezed, due to her hyper sensitive senses she could not come any closer to the house- the pepper was too much. She was using the eyes of several mutated squirrels- perched on branches facing the besieged home. Through them she watched the rain of balls, and recalculated the aim for the Spiderpots. The weapons were Hatter's design- meant to fire tea into part guest's mouths as they made their way TO the party "So no one has to wait to be served."

She sighed, thinking of Hatter; alone with March...that loon. She hated March so much, thinking that the Hare was trying to make the moves on Hatter- of whom Doormouse was in love. The simple fact that Jabberwocky had paired the two of them up, while sending her to this terribly peppery place was just wrong. But the voice in her head sent such thoughts away- instead filling her with the idea that it was DUCHESS who wanted Hatter...that she had him locked in that house of hers right now!

"You let my man go now!" she screamed, signaling the next wave of the attack- the bears.

Monstrous in size, the bears had been mutating since Jabberwocky first took them- changing them into thick hided monsters of fury. The massive beasts were further aided by a Spiderpot clinging to each one's back- creating an organic tank. The fur was gone, as was the skin, replaced by a thick layer of chitin; like that of a bug. Massive claws stab out from the paws, while elongated jaws are tightly packed by several rows of teeth- all sharp and twisted.

Twenty of them ran from the forest...towards the home, while a third strike came overhead from the Spiderpots left in reserve.

But was Duchess even home?

Isaiah "Grey" Gris

Grey looked at Absolem and Cheshire, blinking calmly. They were both angry or upset with him but he was sure that it was just because they were stressed out.

"I know it's a possibility," he said, "That's why it was so scary. The reason I freaked out is because you were all dead and I obviously hadn't been able to help any of you. Being unable to help has always been my worst nightmare."

The last few words brought a frown to his face. Was that true? He didn't remember for sure but he was positive that this was true.

"You're probably right," sighed Grey as Absolem taunted him about his weight, "I guess I'm too puny to subdue you."

Absolem seemed to be acting a little colder than before but at least he had taken the bait and was making witty remarks again and he had said that he'd rest too so that was good, that had been the point all along.

"I don't think Rhia or Cheshire are going anywhere," said Grey when Absolem brought up bedrooms, "The couches are really comfortable so I'm quite happy to have a girly sleep over."

Rubbing his eyes he grabbed a cushion and curled up around it, staring at Absolem. He didn't have any intention of going to sleep untill he saw Absolem lie down and rest first.

Destra/Tweedle Dum

"Um...trouble," said Destra when Moonlight asked about the note, "Big trouble."

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to go see the Duchess and find out how much she knew, at the very least it would give Moonlight someone to meet and he was sure that the Duchess would love a visitor.

"Lets go for a walk, you can meet our...friend," he said with an uncertain glance towards Sinistra, "The Duchess, I bet she'd love to meet you."

Signalling to follow him he set off for the Duchess's house.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee

Taking Moonlight's hand he began to follow his brother. Having to find out about the Jabberwocky in a note from the Duchess was disturbing, how had they not been able to sense that something that dangerous was once again free. The simple fact was, as usually both he and his brother had been too wrapped up in their quarrel to notice much of anything, it was amazing that he still noticed Moonlight was there.

"You'll have to remember to be very polite when around the Duchess," he said to Moonlight, "But I'm sure that won't be a problem for you. I warn you now, the Duchess is very..."

His voice cut off as the drew within sight of the Duchess's home. The were splinters and black goo everywhere, lying around the yard were the bodies of seceral pigs and momeraths.

"Oh no," he whispered fearfully as a new volley of black blobs were launched at the house, "It's here."

He could only hope that the Duchess had gotten away.

Duchess Sophie

She smiled at Belca as the girl signed the book before it vanished with a bell like sound.

"Thank you very much Belca," she said, "I promise you can rely on me."

The next moment she was running to the window as a group of pigs and momeraths rushed inside squealing. There could only be one reason for it. Danger. She sighed as the first volley struck. As was to be expected it was the jabberwocky...or it's minions anyway.

"I beg your pardon?" questioned the Duchess as a voice requested she let their man go, "Oh dear, with that voice it could only be Dormouse. What has that disgusting disease done to you?"

On the outside she appeared calm but inside she was falling apart. She knew what she had to do in order to escape but she didn't want to, the thought was just too sad to even properly think through. Gazing out the window pensively she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was the Cook, his eyes full of sorrow.

"I can't ask you to do that," she said, taking hold of his hand, "I don't want to do it."

The Cook said nothing, he just continued to stare at her with his sorrow filled gaze. She knew that he wasn't going to back down. Reluctantly she knelt on the ground and gathered all the pigs and momeraths around her in a tight circle where she closed her eyes and began to focus. A glow surrounded the group and when it faded she was surrounded by a group of boys and girls with green or pink hair, each was armed with a weapon of some sort.

"You all know what you have to do," she said, looking at the Cook, "I'm sorry that it has to be this way. Give it your all."

Silently nodding, the boys and girls rushed out the front door towards the infected army.

"Come with me Belca," she said, grabbing the girl's hand and dragging her son along, "We have to leave."

As she left she turned to look at the Cook one last time, he was setting the house on fire. It wouldn't do to let the Jabberwocky ransack the place. With a weak smile she hurried out the conservatory door, heading for one of the forest covered hills that surrounded her home. Soon she saw the red hair of the twins, they were standing on the hill with someone else. She didn't greet the twins as she walked up to them, instead turning to look at the scene before her silently with tears cascading from her eyes. Her home was burning, all the stories she had spent so long writing were going up in flames, the pigs and momeraths she had raised and nursed back to health were probably all going to die but at least they wouldn't get tainted like the Cook would, as soon as they were killed or her projection wore off then they would fade away, it was just the way things had always been. She watched them as they fought fiercely to give her enough time to run away. As the Cook ran into the fray shouting pepper she turned away with an audible cry and began to run, trying to put as much distance between herself and her burning home as possible.
