The White Rabbit

"Well, you've taken your sweet time!"

0 · 477 views · located in Wonderland

a character in “On the Wings of a Dream”, as played by Lukipyon

Description

“Our limitations and success will be based, most often, on your own expectations for ourselves. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon.” – Denis Waitley

Image

Full Name: Tristan Whitby, he has forgotten this so most people tend to call him “Rabbit”, “Bunny” or something of the sort.

Role: White Rabbit

Age: 14/ 75

Gender: Male

Personality:
Rabbit sees importance in rules and principlesand nothing else, for the majority of his life it’s always been best to obey the laws and regulations pressed by the Queen of Hearts. It has been proven that breaking rules only make the situation worse so he always keeps his toe firmly behind the line. Rabbit can be described as a perfectionists, he loves to organize, make sure Wonderland is in order or, at least, keep his hands busy with something constructive. If he discovers anything that hints a tiny bit of disarray, he snaps and demands to acknowledge the suspect. He strongly believes in punctuality, he finds it as an extremely shameful act if he finds himself late for any occasion. He also adheres in straightforward thinking and the simple truth; he has a very short temper and can become impatient extremely easy. However because of his age and appearance, the other powerful residents of Wonderland don’t tend to take him very seriously. Rabbit takes pride in his rank and is aware of this; however he is not of the boastful type but instead puts an exceptional amount of effort in every job he is assigned to. For the most, he gladly accepts the Queen’s commands and is loyal under her rule. However, he is reluctant to concur with harsh instructions (such as execution) or when he disagrees with the Queen’s, sometimes brutally frank, opinion.

Hair Colour: White

Eye Colour: Red

Quirks:
● He transforms into a rabbit when he travels long distances or when he has to send a message in a short length of time.
● Rabbit has Atychiphobia, he has the fear of failure or failing himself.
● Rabbit strongly disagrees with cheating and therefore never uses his powers for such matters e.g. slowing time down when he is late.

Appearance Description:
Rabbit is a rather fragile-looking fellow; he stands at about 4”11 and is of a very lanky build, gained from travelling regularly across Wonderland. He has feathery short hair that is layered, it is the colour of fresh snow. Rabbit has very delicate and almost feminine features, both facial and expressed in his figure. He has large, doe-like eyes; they stand out because they are a brilliant scarlet colour, red in its purest. His hair and eye colour combined make him an albino. He has a very petite nose and small lips. He has decent eyesight but it tends to blur from a far distance, because of this he insists on wearing spectacles – round lenses that are framed with a thing gold rim. He disagrees with casual clothing and instead dresses himself somewhat formally but also Wonderland-ish. He wears a black waist coat that reaches just before his stomach, buttoned up. Underneath, Rabbit wears a plain white blouse which is all fixed together with a red tie. He then wears black shorts with leather braces attached and then finishes with striped thigh-high socks and buckled shoes. And not forgetting his white gloves! For some unknown reason, Rabbit also has a pair of large white rabbit ears attached to his head and a fluffy rabbit tail attached to his backside which pokes out from the space where his shirt and shorts meet.

Quotes:
● “Rules are boundaries, and boundaries are not meant to be stepped out of.”
● “Oh no, oh no, I’m late! Oh dear, oh dear, what will the Queen say...!”

Likes:
● Punctuality
● His pocket watch
● A job well done
● Order
● Travelling

Dislikes:
● Cutting corners and people who do so
● Slackers
● Cheating
● Anarchy
● Being late!

Powers:
Rabbit has an affinity with Time. He has the ability to manipulate time to his needs, such as the basics of pacing time either by slowing it down and quickening it up. Rabbit can do it in a certain area of space but can also do it to living objects, for example, he can make a human turn into a child or make a flower wither.

Contractor: N/A

Weapons/ Things They Are Carrying:
● A gold pocket watch
● A small flannel which he uses to clean his glass lenses.

Back Story::
Rabbit does not know his previous life before Wonderland. As far as he is concerned, he has lived there and served the Queen since he was born.

So begins...

"What is life, if it isn't a game?"
If a child is provided with nothing, he will invent his own games, using anything available.

That was all.

There was nothing more to it, nothing personal or vindictive, she was just bored and needed to play, that was all.

That has always been all. There is nothing more to it, there never has been. She doesn't kill because she wants to, she feels nothing even when she brings the blade down - but she kills because she needs to, its a game and its amusing to see the blood splutter and gush in all directions, even though her dress always get dirtied, and even though she can taste something wet and salty on her tongue, and something hot running down her cheeks, She wonders what it is, but never bothers enough to find out, because she hates the colour red and wants to get clean as soon as possible, and this is just how the world works.

* * *

She sat on a throne, surrounded by a sea of dolls.

"I'm bored." she announced to no one in particular, making a murmur go around the room. This might have been strange if the 'dolls' really were dolls, but in reality, they were the Courtiers of the Queen of Hearts, sovereign ruler of Wonderland, ruling the land with an iron fist clad in a gentle smile and innocent eyes.

To her, they were faceless, nameless dolls. Toys meant for her own amusement that never amounted to anything. Things she broke and threw away as she pleased, because that was just the way of the world she lived in.

And they were all broken. She knew because she had been the person to break them slowly, the gentle smile never fading from her lips even as crimson dripped down them.

"Its boring to play with the same dolls again and again, isn't it, Little Rabbit?" she addressed her favourite doll, and the only one who had a name among the crowd, completely disregarding the others, who shivered as a sweet smile - even sweeter than the normal ones -, which could only mean one thing. The Queen was plotting something, and that something was going to involve a lot of sadism and pure evil.

"But that's fine, just fine. Because new ones will be arriving soon. Will you prepare a message for the Chains? Tell them I want to play a little game."

[OOC: Sorry had to divide the original post into two... If anything confuses you in this post just refer to the one in the Palace of Hearts. Thank ye. :>)

White Rabbit

He immediately started travelling on all fours, bounding along the path he knew would lead him into the forests of Wonderland. He darted in between the trees and bushes before noticing Caterpillar – Oops, Absolem – floating in mid-air. He twitched his nose up at him before once again, a mini-tornado came out of nowhere and embraced the small rabbit as he grew back into a human. Rabbit quietly stepped forward and cleared his throat loudly.
"Good day to you, Absolem," said Rabbit flatly, he frowned as he was forced to tilt his head up in order to look at man, "I have a message for you from the Queen."
He then paused, using the time to straighten his waistcoat and tie.
" She proposes a game of some sort," he continued a tad bit quieter, "I don't know the exact details of this game myself so I suggest you go to inquire the Queen herself."

One of Rabbit's ears twitched as he heard a familiar noise from nearby. The sound of feline nails against bark.
"The same goes for you, Cheshire," Said Rabbit sharply, slightly louder.

Why, look at the time!" He said, after peering at his pocket watch briefly, "I must be going, need to inform the others. To both of you, farewell."
And before either of them had time to reply, Rabbit was already scurrying away, the small furry mass still visible from a mile away.

[OOC: Oops, sorry didn't see this place. XD I'll edit the post I did earlier. :L)

White Rabbit

Rabbit jumped in his seat once he realised that it was him that the Queen was addressing. He widened his eyes before mumbling out a reply which sounded very much like, "Yes, C-Certainly... Your Majesty!" Rabbit pitched up his spectacles before discreetly shuffling out of the room, slipping out of the door and taking care to close it quietly afterwards. He tried to make as little noise as possible but despite his efforts the boy still flinched when he heard the lock click into place. His head was reeling from possible ideas of this game the Queen was planning, and that smile... Rabbit was more than aware of the meaning behind such a sweet smile. It always meant that something bad was going to happen.

But he couldn't think of that now, he had a duty to do.

Once he stepped outside, he breathed out a sigh of relief, stress had resided in his stomach during the whole period of the meeting and had accumulated until the end. There was always a tense atmosphere in that certain room but it was understandable, everybody, her Courtiers and White Rabbit himself, was acutely aware of the Queen's short temperature and what could happen if someone was unlucky enough to trigger it. Once he felt an unwinding sensation in the pit of his stomach, he started to walk again. Rabbit then began to quicken his pace until he was at a hurried jog. He then dived onto the floor where a rush of wind wrapped around the boy's whole figure. It then left as suddenly as it came revealing a rabbit with clean white fur walking quickly on its hind legs. The animal's body was bare except for a golden pocket watch dangling from its neck, Rabbit grabbed the watch with his small paw and twitched his nose realising the time.

Absolem/Caterpillar

Absolem looked down at the Rabbit. His eyes narrowed slightly, but hey, it wasn't his fault who he served. He sat up, floating down so he didn't reign so much taller than the small looking boy, although, they both were nearly the same age. Your cuteness is almost sickening, Rabbit. He sighed, eyes scanning him. What did that god forsaken Queen want from him now? Was she still trying to break the few chains who held their pride? Was she finally bored? She needed to remember the old riddle, You can see nothing else When you look in my face, I will look you in the eye And I will never lie. What am I?' Your reflection of course. The Queen of Hearts needs an honest to god mirror so she could see her reflection. No other would be so brutally honest. She's unhappy and all of Wonderland can see it, but all fear her far too vastly to call her out. Her sadism is just a form of quenching that loneliness and unhappiness. His pink eyes got a dark sparkle in them when he mentioned a game, "Well, well. She finally proposes something to my interest. A game, a game she says. Now this I must see." He brought himself into the air again, floating effortlessly, now if only he could do this with others so thoughtlessly... He shook off the thought. If, it's a poisonous word. You'd do best to forget it Absolem. He looked to see Cheshire, his eyebrows raising, for a second, he'd forgot he'd been in the cat's company. He thought little of this however, "Do you wish to travel at your own leisure, or would you rather we go together to discuss the commotion with that woman?" His tone was bored, his usual deep voice. He didn't care if the cat came with him or not, he just figured he would be courteous. He waited for the answer, his pink eyes closing as he began to hum a catchy tune. Though, where he'd heard it escaped him.

Rhiannon

She ran, not from fear. It also was not from panic, Rhia ran for the sheer purpose of getting around faster. She had to find someone, anyone. Not being able to remember anything, that she could handle, but she could not handle however, being alone. She stopped when she got too tired, biting her bottom lip, "Just what the heck is this?" she hissed, "There is no way I'm here by myself, it's not plausible."[/b] she stated flatly, refusing to believe otherwise. She placed the tip of her thumb inside her mouth, chewing on it as she began trying to think, think of anything basically, "How old are you..?" she asked herself, that one came easy, "Eighteen.." she whispered to herself, smiling a bit. She could remember that much. She couldn't see the walls or the ceiling. Three days without water, fourteen without food.. give or take. She began calculating how long she could possibly survive here if she continued to find no one, and nothing.

Cheshire

The small whirlwind was what caught Cheshire's attention. The air, though alive and unpredictable in its own right wasn't so keen on control. Only one thing created such a contained surge of power, his grin shrunk slightly. What message did the Queen's Rabbit carry now? He stood, taking in the small conversation Rabbit was having with Absolem. He didn't want to be bothered by the White Rabbit, regardless of what the Queen said, but before he could fade away Rabbit's sharp reply caught him: "The same goes for you, Cheshire." He cursed the Rabbit on his quick delivery. The Queen would expect him now. He could always feign ignorance? A little, 'Oh I didn't get the message?' He growled. No. Nothing went unnoticed by her.

Frustrated, he blew at the leaves before him, creating a colourful blaze as they wisped and disintegrated into the air. He glared down at the Rabbit from his naked, heavily marked branches, sure to pass his message of unhappiness. Whatever the Queen was planning had something to do with the change occurring in his Wonderland. He wanted to discover it on his own, make some fun out of it. With the Queen involved, there usually wasn't any fun at all. All 'Do this or else' and there wasn't anything that made Cheshire cringe more than being controlled.

He kept his glare as the horrid thing bounded away. How could one keep happy under such dominance. He shrugged, knowing full well that everyone in his Wonderland was under the Queen's thumb. However, Cheshire chose to do things his own way; this little denial kept him content. To be completely in the Queen's jurisdiction was Rabbit's own Hell to deal with.

"Do you wish to travel at your own leisure, or would you rather we go together to discuss the commotion with that woman?" He raised his eyebrows. He was caught off-guard by the question. It wasn't often people asked for his company. He paused a bit before answering. He really didn't want to visit the Queen. He studied Absolem's face and his grin widened. Perhaps a change in scenery would do him some good. He hopped off his tree, which faded as soon as his touch had gone, and landed with a theatrical bow. And perhaps, if the Queen's anger became known, it would be a great thing to have someone else lose there head instead of his own. The little bit of dust which puffed from his landing grew severely into a miniature cloud, obscuring him. When the dust settled, which only took a matter of moments, the Cheshire's form had taken on more feminine qualities. She stood upright, her ear decor chiming and looked to the Caterpillar. "It would be my pleasure," she grinned.

White Rabbit

Rabbit's whiskers trembled. His scarlet irises looked up at a crow as it cut through the sky above him, Rabbit followed the animals movement as it flew across a garden before disappearing into the distance. Rabbit bounded closer to the garden and slowed to a halt, realising that he was at his destination. He, once more, transformed back into his human self before striding confidently into the garden, deftly moving in between the trees and bushes. The garden was indeed a lovely place, Rabbit had previously thought it would've been a nice place to have a picnic. But then he noticed that it was used as some kind of battle arena by the two Tweedle brothers. He pursed his lips and shook his head, What a shame.

The albino boy walked into the centre of the clearing and scanned the area, he had expected the twins to be here but it seemed that they were nowhere in sight. He was about to give up and leave before he saw a glint of metal hidden in between the long blades of grass. Rabbit walked towards the knife and held it in his palm, he looked at it with regard. This was enough proof to convince him that Sinistra and Destra where still in the vicinity. It was just the problem of where exactly...
Rabbit quickly slid the knife into the backpocket of his shorts before walking the perimeter of the clearing, he sighed in relief as he found them huddled tightly together behind a tree out of the many in the garden.
"Tweedle Dum, do take more care of your knives." Said Rabbit, in a tone which he hoped was comforting. He handed the knife back to him before ushering them out into the open.
"I have a message from the Queen," Said Rabbit firmly, taking his time to look at both of them individually from behind his round spectacles, "She has invited all of the Chains to a game she is preparing. Since I have next to no information about it, I advise both of you to travel to the Palace in order to know more about it."

"Sinistra, Destra. I do hope to see you at the Palace later." He concluded," I must take leave."
A whirlwind wrapped around Rabbit's frail body as he bounded out of the garden, the pocket watch being dragged behind his fluffy white ball of a tail.

Destra/Tweedle Dum

He watched as the whirlwind engulfed the boy before him, leaving behind a white rabbit which promptly ran off, leaving him alone once more with his brother.

"A handy trick to have that would be" he thought to himself, "But how rude of him to tell me to take better care of my knife when it was exactly where it wanted to be."

He soon became aware of of a pressure on his hand, looking down with disgust he realised that he was still holding hands with Sinistra. Furiously he wrenched his hand away.

"Did you hear that?" asked Destra, "An invitation from the Queen for the chains to play a game."

Adjusting the newsboy cap on his head, he turned away from his brother and began to head in the direction of Lake Lacie where the Palace of Hearts was to be found. As he walked, he soon lost himself in thought.

"Why was the Crow here of all places?" He wondered, "It only seems to follow me or Sinistra, could it be because of the Rattle?"

An interesting idea then popped into his mind, could it be that the Rattle was now the Crow? If so it would explain a lot but was that really possible? Pushing the depressing thought from his head with a shake he continued on his way.

Sinistra/Tweedle Dee

Sinistra rubbed his hand on the ground, he couldn't bear to have it contaminated by his brother.

"Contrarywise," shouted Sinistra as Destra got further and further away, "It's an invitation to play a game for the chains from the Queen."

With a sigh he hurried to catch up, travelling together was not going to be an enjoyable experience, however, it was unavoidable as they were going to the same place. The two continued in silence for a while, Sinistra was determined not to talk to Destra any more than he had to. Instead he tried to remember a time where they hadn't hated each other, it would have been a long time ago but he was sure they had once been friends and enjoyed each others company. The idea was almost laughable now but he supposed it would be nice to go back to the way things were before the incident with the Rattle. Sadly, time was not something he could control.

With a giggle he began to recite one of his favorite rhymes.

"The Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the crown,
The Lion beat the Unicorn all around the town,
Some gave them white bread, some gave them brown,
Some gave them plum cake and drummed them out of town."

He began to dance excitedly as he thought of the Lion, he had always loved imagining the strong and majestic Lion beating the Unicorn around the town.

"It serves the Unicorn right too," he giggled, "Trying to take the crown from the Lion."

He knew that Destra of course, would disagree. After a while his giggles subsided and the twins were soon standing infront of Lake Lacie. The sight of the Palace of Hearts on the lake was enough to take ones breath away. Without a word, the two started making their way towards the palace.

White Rabbit

Rabbit groaned in frustration. He had spent approximately 10 minutes running around the most common areas of Wonderland but, to no prevail, catch a single Chain. It's as if they had all moved into hibernation or something, he stifled a chuckle as he realised he was describing the Chains as woodland animals. This was somewhat ironic because the White Rabbit was, well, a rabbit. He travelled slowly back towards the Palace. He hopped to the edge of Lake Lacie and gazed over it oppressively, Rabbit's eyes widened slightly as she saw the distinct shade of pink from a distance. It galloped behind a girl's body who was wielding a large sword in hand. Intrigue faded into relief as her identity hit him in the face.
Why... Yes.. If - Then she must... She must be Dormouse!
He bounded happily to the large grassy area where the pink-haired girl was training and stopped abruptly as he let the wind rush towards him and enfold his entirety.
"My dear, you don't know how happy I am that I've found you," Said Rabbit cheerfully, warily eyeing the long blade in her hands, "The majority of the Chains are in hiding, it seems."

Rabbit, once again, glanced at his pocket watch. He nodded dutifully, realising that he had more than enough time before he should return to the Palace. He mulled over the thought of doing a verification for anyone-else in Wonderland before reverting his attention back to Dormouse.
"Queen proposes a game of some sorts," Said Rabbit with a tone that hinted formality," I have no information on the subject so I have told the rest of the Chains - that I managed to find - to go to the Palace and ask the Queen herself. Most of them should be there by now, so you'll be in good company."

The boy then crouched onto the floor and transformed into a rabbit. He stood on his hind legs, the golden pocket watch placed in his white paw.
"I shall a do a quick double-check before going to the Palace myself," Squeaked the rabbit," Until then, au revoir."
He then dropped onto all four of his paws before padding away quickly, his furry feet making no sound or mark on the dirt and grass; As if he had never been there.

White Rabbit

The White Rabbit stopped in his tracks as the distinct scent of pepper hit his snout like a blow from a fist. He wrinkled his nose and the small mammal pawed his way to a large mansion surrounded by several pigs and momeraths. At the doorstep, he transformed into a human and curtly straightened his tie before knocking on the door.
Rabbit was more than aware that the large double doors, which loomed over his entire being, belonged to the Duchess along with the rest of the mansion. As far as he was aware, the girl had spent most of her life within her own vicinity, entertaining herself with writing delusional fiction and the company of her chef and the group of creatures that inhabited her garden.

The poor dear, I wonder if she ever feels lonely at times.

After a brief moment of waiting, he decided to invite himself in. The residents of Wonderland had their own strange rules of etiquette, it was normal for the guest to enter by one’s self. Besides, he had knocked didn’t he? Rabbit cocked his head up towards the ceiling. The place was indeed large but only very few of the rooms were regularly being used. The boy peered into the closest room beside him and saw the Duchess in her usual rocking chair, with a child in her lap.

Rabbit coughed forcefully, in order to expose his presence, before stepping into the room.
“I’m glad that I only had to look in one room to find you.” Commented the White Rabbit bluntly and focused his gaze briefly on the boy, “It’s nice to see your son again, madam.”
He cleared his throat again and pushed his spectacles up on his small nose.
“I’m afraid I don’t have enough time to hear another of your stories, I’m afraid. The Queen has sent a message to all of the Chains, including you.” The boy said matter-of-factly, narrowing his eyes at the hardback that was lying beside her chair,” She invites all of the Chains to play in a game she is planning. She wishes to see all of them at her Palace immediately.”

Rabbit had grown bored of repeating the similar message again and again to the receivers. Of course, Rabbit was accustomed to sending messages on behalf of the Queen but, on most occasions, it only concerned one person to which he travelled to. He usually didn’t have to worry about remembering the message. But it was a command from his ruler and he couldn’t complain, the Queen’s assistant was expected to put an effort in every little thing he did. He obliged to this willingly... But, even still, he tried to make this one as short and sweet as possible.

“I have sent this message to the bulk of the other Chains. They should be on their way now so I suggest leaving soon.” muttered Rabbit, “I shall hasten my leave. I shall also go to the Palace as well, but in the mean time... Goodbye.”
He promptly made his way back to the entrance of the mansion and warily closed the large doors behind him without a second glance.

#, as written by Aro
With a leaf over her eyes the March Hare laid on a high branch sound asleep. It was roughly midday and she was not ready to see it. Her mind was at rest and everything was silent. She was able to think about the things she cared about. Or at least, she was, she heard the sound of voices beneath her and slowly turned her head so that the leaf would fall away from her face. She looked down at two of her friends as the thoughts started to flood her head. She was not ready for the thoughts. She never was. She rolled out of the tree and landed on the ground in a crouch. “It's too early!” She shouted before falling onto her bum and lifting her hat to reveal a cup of tea. “Just a spot... that's all a young hopper needs,” She spoke as fingerless gloved hands grasped the handle of the cup. She sniffed it for a moment before looking at the tiny drop of tea in the bottom of the cup. “A hopper could ask for more...” She frowned as she watched the cup fill, “Mmm... perfect,” She took only a sip before dumping the rest onto the forest floor.

“Oh!” She turned to her friends, “Dormy, Rabbit, what are the two of you up too?” She skipped over to the White Rabbit and touched his ears lightly knowing all too well how sensitive his ears were. “Hm...” She flipped over his short form and fell onto her back so that she was looking up at him, “It would appear that you, my friend are...” She pulled out her pocket watch and stared at it as it ticked counter clockwise, “Late,” She looked up with a serious expression, “very late, in fact,” She got to her feet and dusted herself off keeping her back to him, “I'm betting that you're up to something!” The madness quickly returned to her voice. “What has Red put you up too?! She want's my hat doesn't she?” She took a tight unbreakable hold of her top hat, “Well, we'll not be having any of that!” She quickly turned and ducked behind the nearest tree.

“Dormy! You'd better watch your back with this one!” She called to her friend, “He may be tiny and adorable but he is a vicious killer I assure you!” She couldn't wipe the smile off of her face as she taunted the rabbit. She didn't wait for Dormy and quickly ran to the Lake's edge and stared down at a fish finding herself quickly distracted. Her mind began to swim with anything and everything. The thoughts, words, and faces, swimming around slowly in her head making circles and swirls. She sat down and hugged her knees as she tried to calm the thoughts down, to organize them and make them make some sense in this senseless world.

She moved her hand under her hat and pulled out her empty tea cup. “Just a bit more then a spot...” She mumbled as it filled half way. She slowly sipped it down and turned her attention to the sky. “Where's Hatter? We're in desperate need of a tea party.” She snapped as she began to look around for one of the first people she befriended. She lifted rocks and searched behind trees. “It's his unbirthday too,” She pouted as looked around, “You help too Dormy. Rabbit!” She barked.

White Rabbit

Rabbit narrowed his eyes as he saw the Hare striding closer to them. Oh dear, it's Mad March. He thought sourly.
When the girl touched his ears, he did a quick step backwards and pursed his lips as tightly as possible; fighting over the temptation to burst into an angry rant. His body convulsed with the effort and it took all of him to choke out his reply, "Nice to s-see you again, March..." Said Rabbit through gritted teeth, "Haven't I told you to stop-touching-my-ears?"
The small albino spat out the last words and glared at the Hare once more, unimpressed by her theatrical movements; he had grown used to it years ago and knew it only wasted time. He snatched the golden pocket watch from the Hare's grasp and slipped it back into one of the pockets in his shorts. The Hare and the Rabbit were close in species - as most would understand - but even so, they were probably the most contrasting pair you would ever lay your eyes on. March's outlandish (Or should I say Wonderland-ish?) behaviour made it difficult to find anything common between them. Each of her steps were unpredictable, every motion emphasized dramatically. Rabbit couldn't get around how her brain ticked and this what irritated him the most; this kind of demeanour always led to trouble.

"Please don't joke about that, being late isn't something to joke about," Hissed Rabbit, "I am not up to anything, madam. And please don't call her Majesty, Red. She wouldn't approve."
He shook his head, clearly annoyed and watched as the girl quickly leapt behind a tree and then moved closer to the lake, her mind already elsewhere. Rabbit glanced at Dormouse for a brief second, just to show how peeved off he was.
"I'm more than certain that your hat is the last thing the Queen would want," He shouted bluntly, trying to grab the strange girl's attention,"Now do stop playing around, Hare. I've already given the message to Dormouse so now it's your turn."
He breathed out exasperated, before continuing.
"I've grown impatient, so I'll make this quick," Said Rabbit hurriedly, "Queen invites you to this new game and wishes to see your presence at the Palace, immediately."
The boy padded quietly to the girl's side, just as reassurance to know that he was being heard.
"There will be tea," Whispered Rabbit into her ear, before trotting back to his original position.

"Now, I don't believe that there are any other recipients," Muttered Rabbit, and gazed up at the sky, "So I shall just tag along with the both of you, yes?"
He understood that the Mad Hare wasn't exactly the best of company, but he figured that it wouldn't do him well if he was the last to know about this game. Rabbit shook his head once more before looking at each of the individuals expectantly.

Just what is the Queen planning?

Mad March whirled around when the rabbit stood over her taking in what he was saying and deciding if it was a trap or not. Knowing the Queen it most certainly was but she knew that White was a good rabbit and that he wouldn't try to hurt anyone intentionally... unless they made him late perhaps. “A game?” her ears perked some as she eyed him. The next thing that spilled out of his mouth had her to her feet in an instant, “Tea? Well, why didn't you say so?” She was grinning from ear to ear as she walked over to Rabbit.

“Well, then, enough talking let's go.” She said with a wave of the hand. “Lead the way now, don't just stand there.” She placed her hands on her hips as she waited for him. “Any idea what this game is about?” She asked as the thoughts flowed through her head of children playing on play grounds or talking to the flowers. Her head tilted a bit as she thought of whatever the Red Queen had in mind hoping that it would be something fun. Her tail twitched a bit and she began to skip towards any direction assuming that the white rabbit would correct her if she was headed the wrong way.

“Do we get a prize if we win?” She asked as she thought about it more. She was a formidable opponent and was very determined when playing games of all sorts. Hopefully the rules weren't too binding but knowing the Queen they just might be.

White Rabbit

The White Rabbit didn't bother to look behind him, he knew the Hare and Dormouse would follow him once he got the pace going. The albino jerked out his pocket watch and looked at it stricken. If he didn't speed up, he might just be late.

Oh dear, oh dear...

"Do hurry up, March!" Shouted Rabbit, his head turned towards his shoulder, "What will the Queen say when she sees that we're.. well, we're... late!"
He shuddered when he said the last word, dread sank into his petite being and the twisting sensation returned to the pit of his stomach. The Palace was only a few metres away, it was in the middle of Lake Lacie, but every minute walking felt like an eternity. Without a moment's warning, picked up his feet and ran towards their destination. Wind tangled about his limbs as the boy somersaulted in the air and landed back down on the earth; white fur had sprouted all over the surface of his extended ears and body, which was only about 30 centimetres long. He bounded towards the entrance of the Palace, transformed back and waited patiently for the Hare to catch up.

Once she did, Rabbit pushed open the large double doors and waved a hand towards one of the black butterflies that were fluttering all around the entrance hall.

"Where is the Queen and the Chains?"
"In the Tea Garden."
"Thank you, Kuro."

Once the quick conversation finished, Rabbit strided hastily in the direction of the desired room. The boy did not have any need for the butterfly's instructions, he knew the Palace of Hearts from the back of his hand. However, the one thing they he couldn't recall being on the back of his hand was the large square of white that seemed to be cutting out a chunk from one of the Tea Garden's dainty white walls. Light spilled from the image and poured into the room, making the room look that much brighter. Rabbit peered into the square and realised that several people had already settled themselves inside the strange room, this included a few chains who were already conversing with the others, they were strangers he had never seen before. If they were residents of Wonderland, Rabbit would've identified them almost immediately; There were no walls or ceiling to speak of. The albino's wide-eyed stare then turned back to the Queen who had still seated herself in the Tea Garden.

"Wha- What..?" Stammered Rabbit, and then glanced back towards the strange area.

White Rabbit

"B-But..." Stuttered Rabbit before sighing in resignation, "Yes, Your Majesty!"

With trembling fingers, he fiddled with his tie - as an attempt to pull it up - before tentatively stepping into the Great Hall. Rabbit would always ponder about the Queen's sometimes reckless decisions but whenever the Lower Level was related, Rabbit understood that no wasn't an option. He had heard terrible stories about the Lower Level and that terrible Jabberwocky; a shiver ran down his spine by just thinking about it. He mentally shook his head, he thanked his tail and whiskers that he was blessed to be living in the more... civilised area of Wonderland.

Where was Hatter anyway? Rabbit knitted his eyebrows together, he couldn't help blaming the odd-bod but if it wasn't for him the small boy wouldn't have to deal with the Queen's game. Even Rabbit had to admit they haven't always been the most fun. If it wasn't for this, all of them could've spent this wonderful afternoon in a tea party. He scanned the area and saw that Absolem had already found his own Contractor - a boy with long silver hair - and watched as the Caterpillar dragged the unlucky fellow out. He had to suppress a chuckle before drifting his attention to the Duchess who was also conversing with another, a girl with a rebellious demeanour. They seemed to be... enjoying themselves. Cheshire was nowhere to be found. He's most likely brought his own child back to that wretched forest. Thought Rabbit.

Only a few where left to be claimed, however one girl brought his interest. She had placed herself quite far away from the rest of them. He strided closer towards her and pushed up the bridge of his gold-rimmed spectacles. Her whole being was themed on the colour white; what with her pale skin, snow-coloured hair and her simple dress. The only exception was her irises, they were a lovely shade of green. Unlike most residents of Wonderland, Rabbit didn't need to tilt his head up in order to look at her. She only looked about one inch taller than himself.

"Why, hello there child." Muttered Rabbit and tried to look as superior as possible; despite being shorter, "I am White Rabbit, it's a pleasure to meet you."
He paused for moment in order to brush minor creases from his shorts.

Now that he was at a distance where he could examine the girl properly, he came to realise that she looked extremely frightened; she was shaking and had kept a firm grip on her dress. Little Rabbit understood how she felt though, he had still managed to hold onto a drop of his humanity. Besides, how else could you react in such circumstances?
"Now don't be afraid." He said tenderly, "What is your name?"

Ivory it has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it?

Ivory's envy-green coloured eyes looked up at the boy, she was sitting down, so she kind of had to tilt her head up, but when she stood, they were practically eye level to eachother. She blinked, he wore shorts, however the rest of the boy in front of her was quite formal. His white hair looked soft and fluffy as if it were fur, and his eyes were red, oddly. She tried not to stare at the boy, her eyes changing their line of sight to the room they were in. I wonder what this place is, how I got here, and why I can't remember any of these things..

She turned her attentoon back to the boy, whom like the others, looked quite strange to be real, but he was far less intimidating, "Rabbit...?" she asked, leaning towards him ever so slightly to begin examining him with child-like awe, then it caught her attention, he was.. She withdrew, puzzled. How did I not notice these features before...? "I see..You are. Nice to meet you I-" she cut off, eyes softening. She didn't really know her true name...how troublesome..

Ivory's eyes widened, her pale cheeks flushing pink, adding a healthy looking gloe to the girl's face when he mentioned her being aftaid. She instantly forced herself to stop trembling, nodding slowly, "S-sorry.." she stuttered. I wonder if he is bothered by it.. I probably made him fee like he's scary looking..

"Ivory I reckon, I don't recall my name..so that was the best I could come up with..but whatever is easiest for you is fine.." She whispered with a small, kind smile, "Why did you call me a child...are you older than you look?" she asked curiously, "I-I hope that wasn't too rude..I just wanted to know also...are you a friend or an enemy?"

The March Hare swung her arms lazily as she followed behind the frantic albino. He was always so hung up on time and tardiness that sometimes she wished that he would just forget about being on time and just waste time like she did nearly everyday. She stretched her arms over her head and paused for a moment before seeing the White Rabbit start to run. Her head tilted to the side and his words drifted over her ears and she sighed. Perhaps she could humor him just this once since they were meeting with the Queen.

“We're not late!” She called as she ran after him. Now the focus of her mind's swimming mess was of the Queen and how much the Hare really hated that woman. She tried to keep her mood calm but it grew more and more difficult. “I like that form better, Rabbit.” She grinned when she saw him transform. She didn't make him wait and quickly caught up and went through the doors after him.

Stepping into the Tea Garden was like stepping into the sun after being underground for far too long. Marchie winced for a moment as her eyes adjusted and she looked around at the people and spotted a couple familiar faces. “Hello!” She smiled brightly saving the Queen for last.

“So,” She turned her body to face the Red Queen, “What is this about a game?” She asked as her head tilted to the side, “And contractors? Why must we be contracted?” She asked curiously. She really wanted to know and rather or not she'd participate with the “game” would all depend on how interesting it sounded.

White Rabbit

"S-sorry..."

White Rabbit gazed at her curiously, “Why ever would you be sorry, my dear?” He replied and peered at her from behind his glasses, “It’s hard not to be frightened in such a situation. From my guess, I would think you’re most likely wondering where am I? Who is this weird fellow? How do I get out?

He slowly treaded a circle around her during his explanation, Rabbit found it extremely difficult to talk without doing anything else. There was always that gnawing thought at the back of his mind that always told him that he was wasting his time or that there was always an important job to do.

His long ears perked up once she had introduced herself, “Ivory, ‘ey? Well, it does fit you almost perfectly,“ Said Rabbit and looked her up once more with a light chuckle, “You don’t remember anything else, you say? That does slightly worry me a bit...”

What has the Queen done to these poor children? He thought forlornly and shook his head. It seemed she has abducted them from their homes and then brainwashed the poor things so that they couldn’t remember even their name. Rabbit used a split second to probe any previous memories where Queen had mentioned such a game before realising that he had been spacing out. He blinked several times before continuing the conversation while still walking around the girl.

“Well, never mind. We can stress about it later. I still have so much to tell you!” Squeaked out Rabbit before coughing it down, “Yes, well, I have probably lived many more years in Wonderland than you have yet to experience as a human!”

That is if you manage to get out of here alive.

“Ho ho, I can assure you that I am as much as a foe than I am blue-eyed!” Said Rabbit and grinned, causing his spectacles to scoot down his nose slightly, “But in all seriousness, I believe I will undoubtedly be one of the most trustworthy companions you will come across around here.”

The albino did a brief glance around the spotless void before reverting his sight back to Ivory,” Hmm, there is still quite a lot to talk about; even I don’t know half of it. Why don’t we pop back in my house? It’ll be much cosier and I’m sure you must be hungry.”

With this, he carefully pressed his gloved hand into the air where it surprisingly melted into the white that was suffocating them from all sides. He reached out his remaining hand towards the girl, indicating that she should grab hold of it.

Once she did, the White Rabbit immediately pull her in along with him; out onto a winding cobblestone path that, which Ivory would soon come to realise, led to his modest abode.

Ivory it has a familiar ring to it, doesn't it?

Ivory's eyes blinked for a moment before running his words as quickly as she could manage through her thought process, and she shrugged her shoulders as her only response, "An apology felt adequete." she she finally countered, and she finally giggled at him, "I didn't think the second one.." she replied back, wiping her eyes amused. You're a little strange, but you seem most normal out of the lot.. and she blinked around at the others people got contracted with. She felt lucky. She turned her head to keep her eyes on him, trying her best to not make herself dizzy in her attempts. She wasn't sure why he was exactly pacing, but if it helped him keep things going smoothly she wouldn't complain about it. She didn't know where she was, who she was, or why she was here. If he could tell her, mannerisms meant next to nothing.

She caught eye of his ears again, eyes widening and interest caught when they moved. T-They aren't fake!? She looked upon him baffled. He wasn't joking, it's the real deal, definitely not a costume, "I-It's fine with me if that's all I remember for now." She raised her hands defensively, trying to make a good, selfless impression.

Ivory seemed overly compliable, she agreed to pretty much anything if it seemed to cause a stir, or would change her view if she believed it to be wrong after seeing his reaction. She was getting a bit light headed trying to keep her eyes politely on Rabbit, but she didn't voice a complaint. She wanted to be likable. She herself wasn't even sure why she was trying so hard, but it may have been insecurity that followed her from her previous life. She bit back a smile when he seemed to squeak, holding her tongue and not calling him out on it, nodding her head to show she was listening, "Well.. if I was kidnapped...doesn't that mean my life is pretty much written in stone to be short?" she asks as she tilts her head at him, "At the very least..It seems it would be in danger." She was a pessimist without his thoughts being voiced aloud.

She nods slowly, then grins for the first time, "Then I guess that we're friends now." she chimes at him bubbly, emerald eyes staring upon his ruby ones, "Is that alright?" she asks curiously. She'd spoke the thought before she'd realized it would require his consent as well. She blushed whne he mentioned hungry, her stomach wasn't making noises thankfully, but she was sort of. She didn't want to admit it out loud, "Alright.. sounds like a plan.." she nods in a soft voice, then she felt something in her pocket pulling it out and looking horrorstruck. A knife?

She shook her heas trying to keep from overreacting, but Ivory couldn't help but feel afraid looking at her posession, "It's..a knife.. why do I have this...?" she asked him, wondering if the Rabbit knew, pocketing it before it seemed threatening. She hesitantly took his hand within hers. He had a lot of manners considering the people she'd seen in the hall before they began their journey out off the wretched hall. Her eyes looked around, taking in the sights once they were on the path, her expression brightening once they were outside, "Pretty.." she whispered happily. Anything is better than that never ending hall..

White Rabbit

Once they were out of the Great Hall, Rabbit continued the conversation. He laughed wholeheartedly when he heard her question the friendship that they had already let to grow. "Of course, of course! What else would we be?" He replied, "You needn't be so cautious around me. The more comfortable you are, the more easier this will be. T-To understand it and such."

He hopped across the cobblestone path, the heels of his buckled shoes created a tapping noise every time it touched the floor. He stopped abruptly and crossed his arms. Rabbit narrowed his eyes and stared off at the distance before jerking his head towards Ivory.
“I shan’t think you should worry about that knife, child, “He said and eyed her pocket wearily, “Life is unpredictable here. It might come of a use... At some point.” The albino shrugged, “If you’re worried about constantly worrying about it you are free to store it somewhere in my house. If you want to.”

Crime was at a low-rate in Wonderland – there is a burglary every now and then – but the boy was smart enough expect the worst from the Queen’s game.

Rabbit then continued on their journey across the path and in next to no time they were at the front of the White Rabbit’s front gate. A fence ran the whole perimeter around the small bungalow in the shape of a rectangle; it left enough space to create a front-garden. From the gate onwards, a narrow path divided the land in two. On both sides was freshly trimmed grass – strictly no weeds – and on very far edges was a neat bed of daffodils. The colour of their petals followed a strict pattern, white to yellow to blue to white and so forth. They were each segregated in their own little space and each of them stood completely upright; as if they were taught not to bend at all.

Rabbit unlocked the gate and ushered the girl in with a flourish of his hand. He quietly closed it behind him and strided behind her, tutting one flower which had leant over. It immediately sprang back to stiffly pointing upwards. Rabbit then unlocked the front door of his house.
“Welcome, to my humble abode.” He said, rather grandly and looked at Ivory expectantly. It was safe to say that it humble, at the very least. A large round table covered the majority of circular room, several stumpy chairs surrounded it. It was modestly decorated, shelves full of books covered the vast surface of the walls and there was a small desk in the corner where Rabbit tended to do paperwork; there was a pot of ink, a peacock feather pen and a huge stack of blank paper placed on top. A brick fireplace had been built just beside it. A set of stairs spiralled to the attic, there was no second floor. A coat stand stood beside the front door, a pair of shoes had been placed beside it; they were identical to the ones Rabbit was currently wearing . There were two windows which filtered sunlight in, exposing each object with a summery glow. Two wooden doors with glace panes had been directly opposite the front door and stood side by side. Once both of them had stepped inside, Rabbit immediately flew into one of the doors, judging by the noise of a kettle hissing and the banging of porcelain, this was the kitchen.

“I’m sorry it’s a tad bit cramped,” Called Rabbit from the other room, “I don’t spend much time here. I'm usually in the Palace, doing jobs for the Queen and the sort."
There was a pause where the sound of a fluid being poured could be heart.
"I usually drop by to cut the grass," He added.
