As she waded back up to the shore reluctantly as she heard Dustin offer to walk her home. She only lived about a ten minute walk down the shore line; Her house, being on the beach front. Her parents both being succesful doctors did come in handy when it came to money, which they had plenty of. She answered with a perky "Alright, sure." then smiled at him and watched him check his phone, then reply to what she guessed was a text. She remember now that she had left her phone back at her place.
Instead of pulling back on her clothes, she grabbed them up into her arms and looked at him. "As long as it's no bother." Before he could answer, she began walking up to the sidewalk.
Chase Rich | ORPHAN | Cabins | Day 1
Chase sat up. He was tired of sitting in a cabin. So, he got up and grabbed his backpack and through it over his shoulder. He put his earphones back in after he got his backpack on. He walked out of the cabin and put his hands in his pockets and started walking. As he walked, he looked at the bored walk. Wondering if it will end up breaking under his feet and send him into the water below. But it didn't. He saw a group of people, probably some of the girls from the orphanage looking for there cabins. He stared at them for about half a minute then continued walking. At first he thought about going to the beach, but he decided not to. Since he didn't want to get lost his first day in Hawaii, he stayed close to the cabins. When he found nothing else to do, he decided to go back to the cabin. Instead of going inside, he just sat on the steps outside. Still with his backpack on and ear-buds in. Blocking out the world. He just sat there and looked around. Part of him wanting someone to come up and talk to him. Part of him wishing he could just be alone in his own little world.
Kale Kapono Price | LOCAL | Park| Day 1
Kale had spotted a couple of guys who looked like they were in their twenties shooting some hoops down towards the end of the park. He was walking towards them when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He stopped walking and turned his head back to see who it was. His face blanked seeing the girl behind him. She was pretty and familiar. Being on a small island, Kale found it rude if you didn't recognize at least most of the people you saw. They were the same faces every year so it would be a shame if he couldn't remember anyone of them. He face was very passive as he eyed her up and down, his gaze bluntly gazing at her eyes last. "Hey,stranger. Haven't seen you for a while." the girl said. Kale smiled. "Hey," he said relaxing and then he scrambled for a name. "Koa?," he asked slowly squinting his eyes to emphasize it. He felt as if he got it right though. "What're you doing now? Anything new pop up while I was gone," he grinned. Kale wasn't very close with her, but he wasn't very close with anyone on the island. He just knew them.
Kailea Nagahara| LOCAL | Island| Day 1
Kailea watched as Mrs. Kirby left a small envelope with the orphan's name on the front inside the mailbox of each orphan's cabin. She put one for each child and left it there with no further notice to what it was or what it was for. It was the allowance money so Kailea guessed the kids already knew what it was and would take it eventually. She realized her work was done for the meantime. She could find Dustin so she went back to their house to pick out her outfit for the party later. She rummaged through her many dresses and bathing suits in her closet searching for something pretty to wear. The villa had a nice pool so she brought out her black one piece swimsuit. She put it on and looked at herself in the mirror. She then put on her black and purple dress over it. It wasn't much, but she didn't like to show off or draw too much attention to herself.
Dmitry Aleksei Smirnov|Orphan|Cabins|Day 1
After unpacking, Dmitry realized he hadn't even began to search around, and talk to the other orphans. He didn't want to be a loner, and although he didn't talk to a lot of people, he had decided that this trip would be different. He would try and make friends. In order to do this, he shrugged, and walked outside his cabin door, and walked around the other cabins, trying to find some people to interact with, local or orphan.

Dustin looked up, smiling when Milani took up his offer. He kept his phone in his hand, careful not to put it inside his jean pocket to keep it from getting wet, and struggled to catch up with her. He glanced every now and then to check if he had gotten a text back from Mano. Things were quiet for a while, and Dustin looked at the floor board awkwardly as they withstood the silence. He glanced at the time, "So, do you have any siblings or anything?" He asked Milani, in an attempt to strike up a conversation. He kept his face careful, not wanting to pry into anything. His family, at least, had their own problems. He tried not to think about Amada too much, who was Dustin's other sister. She drowned when they were kids, almost loosing Kailea as well. It was still a sensitive story up until now, and Dustin didn't like talking about it. I guess you can say that this is part of the reason why Dustin was so overprotective with Kailea, that, and brothers intuition.
Dustin looked ahead as they were heading to the boardwalk, taking notice to the small boy he'd help with his luggage earlier. He seemed alone, and was flipping through pages of a book as he sat down on the beach. Dustin called out to him, taking a few steps ahead of Milani, "Jackal!" He called to get the boys attention away from whatever he was reading.
OOC: Perhaps Chase & Dmitry can interact? :) Maybe head to the town or the park where Kale/Koa are? For Jessabelle, I'm waiting on BubbleYum :)
Mano Bae Kama | Local | Mano's House | Day 1
A few minutes after texting Dustin,who was probably one of hs closest friends,he wouldn't call him his best friend but he was close. He started to get text from girls who somehow found out that he s back on the island,he didn't even read all of them jut the ones that were from girls that stood out to him. He was getting tried of seeing the same thing written down over and over again. Just as he was about to put his phone away, he saw that he had a text from Dustin. He read it and a sly smile started to creep on to his face. A Party,he knew Dustin wasn't the smartest person in the World but did he really have to ask Mano Kama of all people if he was going to a party? No,you could assume he would go unless he was dead. But,his specailty was having parties just to piss her dad off. And that worked everytime,yea he was an ass to his "father". He texted back, Oh,who's the chick man,another 1 of your girlfriends? A party,huh?? And I wouldn't go,motherfucker,yes i'm going 2 go. It's been so long since my last party,stupid ass school. Hey,any new girls worth watching out for? He put the phone beside him and acidentally let his cigerette almost touch his hair as he brought it up. Shit. He noticed just in time to move it away from his "babies" as he called them and put back to his side.
Yea,he was.....protective of his hair mainly because he spent fourty bucks getting done just yesterday. It's funny people who didn't know him would assmue by his overly low v-necks and long hair that he was....how do I put this? That he was a a giant pack of rainbow oreos, at least that's what most of his friends assmumed before knowing him but once they got to know his personality and his flirting ways they found out he was as straight as a drain. Yea,but the girls knew better then the start. Mano messed with one of his dread with his free hand and looked at his sneaker. He exhaled and messed with his nose ring afterwards just trying to pass time.

"Hey,Koa?," She smiled as he remembered her name,she wasn't close to him,matter of fact their conversation was probably three,four minutes but it was with other people. "Hey,Kale." "What're you doing now? Anything new pop up while I was gone," She shrugged and started to think,a lot happen in the time he was gone at least rom her point of view,you see in school she was that person who a lot of things about a lot of people. She taped her foot on the ground,somethine she did when she was remembering things. Well,a few of us graduated,same Dustin and Mano,different day." She wasn't a fan of Dustin or of Mano anymore but she put up with Dustin for two years since him and Mano were close. But,hey now she didn't have to act liek she liked him or his 6'1 friend and her ex. She rolled her eyes and exhaled. "Hm,and oh. I got my glasses and braces off a week ago." She smiled,god she was happy those four years of torture were over with of getting her braces tightened and having her glasses stepped on. "But,what's new with you? How's New York,since i'll be back up there for the fall." She was excited no more getting asked why she sounded so funny when she said words like water,car,or New Jersey since almost everyone sounded like that.
But,mainly she was happy to get to live on her own,getting to major in journalism and photography at Columbia was just a bonus to her. It wouldn't kill her being away from her father since he spent all his time with her brothers anyway.

"So, do you have any siblings or anything?" She had heard Dustin ask as they walked down the path. "Nope, I'm an only child..but you have a younger sister, don't you?" She looked at him. She could see he was only trying to make conversation, and she could also see he was looking at his phone a lot.
"You know what, I can walk the rest of the way myself," she smiled. "It's no bother." She meant no harm by this, she just did not want to be unconventional. "I'll see you at the party then, I guess." She said as he called out a boys name, she figured he was an orphan by the looks of him as she sped up her walking to a house just down the street from there.
Dmitry Aleksei Smirnov|Orphan|The Cabins|Day 1
The more Dmitry walked around, the more he realized he really just wanted to be back in the small bed he called his own at the orphanage. He felt comfortable there. It was his own little comfort zone, and that's exactly how he liked it. Just as he was about to head back into the cabin, he noticed another orphan, Chase, he thought his name was sitting on the steps of what appeared to be his own cabin.
He debated on whether or not to go up there. Dmitry was just too nice. He was always afraid he was disrupting someone, and always tried his best not piss anyone off. HE shrugged his shoulders, and walked over to the cabin, sitting on a stair in front of the boy. "Hey," he said shyly, then looked up at him with his forest green eyes, smile on face.
Chase Rich | ORPHAN | Cabins | Day 1
Chase looked up and removed an ear bud from his left ear as he saw Dmitry walk up. "'Sup." He said when Dmitry said hey. Chase gave a slight awkward smile. He was never good with smiles. They were just so... unnatural to him. His slight awkward smile faded as he went into a natural look and looked down at his iPod to turn the music, rap music to be precise, off. He took the other ear bud out of his right ear. He then swung his backpack over his shoulder. As he unzipped his backpack, you could see two worn out, old notebooks and a new looking notebook. He dropped his iPod and ear buds into his backpack and put it back on his back. He leaned forward a little so he can easily rest his elbows on his knees. He looked dead ahead at the cabin across from his and just stared at it. Waiting for an answer as he let his mind wander a bit. If you looked him in the eyes you could tell just how many thoughts were in his mind at once.
Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Boardwalk | Day 1
"Uh, yeah, Kailea." Dustin replied shortly, wondering if Milani know about Amada at all. She didn't seem like she knew, and was only asking because of curiosity. He smiled some, glancing back to his phone. If she did, the conversation probably would've had gotten even more awkward. Before Dustin got to say anything else, Milani said she'll be alright walking home herself. He hadn't gotten the chance to protest because as soon as he called Jackal's name, she was gone. He was shocked, unsure if the girl wasn't interested, or if she really didn't want to be a bother. It wasn't like he was busy, all he was doing was holding his phone. Still, she was gone now. He sighed, looking back to Jackal, who didn't seem to have heard him. The young orphan was still reading his book. Checking his phone again, Mano finally texted him back.Dustin shook his head, wishing he hadn't mentioned Milani in the first place. Mano wouldn't let him live it down later when he found out she ditched him. Ha, naw. She just left me. Musta been pmsing or something. I ddnt even do shit. She was nice before she ditched. Orphans? Nah, not that know of, no. Bit disappointing though. This time, Dustin tucked his phone inside his pocket. His pants were still wet, but not enough to do any damage to his phone. If anything, he always figured he could get a new one when he moved to the States.
Glancing towards the direction towards where Milani walked, Dustin felt a little guilty. He wasn't trying to do anything, it was just nice to once in a while to make new friends. A sigh escaped through his lips and glanced towards the beach again. "I guess I'll just see you later Jack, " He called out to the kid, wondering if he heard him. He had to get going to the villa soon, or his father would kill him. He turned his back to the beach, and headed home. About 7 minute later, the familiar view of the old cabin came into view. He didn't check his phone when he arrived home, deciding to take a shower and put on a fresh pair of swim shorts and a new cotton shirt. He grabbed something to eat in kitchen, only checking his phone to ask Kailea if she was already there. It was already around - somewhat - 5:30. The party started in a couple minutes, so his father was probably already desperate. Taking one last look to his home, Dustin shut the door and headed to the villa. He was preparing himself for the worst.

Jackal looked up as he heard his name, only to notice Dustin. He smiled faintly and looked back at the book, looking at the pages. He heard his name again, only then shorter. He looked up to watch Dustin leave and sighed softly, he wasn't sure what to do next. He knew the party would be soon, but he had nothing to put on and he wasn't sure if he would like a party, even if it was for him. He rather was somewhere alone instead of somewhere at a party. He guessed, he should go though, just for the others too. He sighed.
Slowly, he made his way back to the cabin he slept in only to find a third person. He sighed softly. Maybe he could arrange a cabin of his own, although he wasn't sure about that and he was a bit too shy. He looked through his cloths and found a black blouse and a pants, but he wasn't sure whether to put on. He sighed and shook his head, putting the cloths away. He changed his shirt to a shirt with long sleeves and a simple jean before putting his rucksack on his bed. He seemed rather afraid to go, but he wanted to go, just for the others.
He turned around and walked out of the cabin silently again. All the time, he hadn't even spoken, only to Dustin, a few words and that was all. He just was a bit shy, that's all. He slowly made his way over to where the party would be, wherever it would be.
Kale Kapono Price| LOCAL | The Park| Day 1
Kale leaned his his heels and faced Koa as she spoke to him. "Well,a few of us graduated,same Dustin and Mano,different day." Kale just nodded at this. He didn't know the two men very well, but he knew that he didn't like them. Their personality and reputation with women didn't blend well with him. "Hm,and oh. I got my glasses and braces off a week ago." He smiled. "You look good," he said. It was an honest statement. Koa wasn't that horrible with her glasses and braces, but she was facially prettier now. "But,what's new with you? How's New York,since i'll be back up there for the fall." He raised his eyebrow and looked at her. "You're going to college in New York? Where?" he was interested. He wasn't sure what course she would take since he hadn't really taken the time to get to know her so he knew very little of her interests. The only thing he remembered was that she liked photography. "I'm going to SUNY at Albany for Criminal Justice. It's a smallish city, but I'm housing there so it's cool," he wasn't overly happy to be leaving is dad for college, but he honestly wanted his own space at least. He wanted to get his own apartment such. His father was able to pay for most of the college payment, but Kale wasn't about to get out of paying student loans.

After deserting Dustin and making her way back to her house, she had begun to regret the decision. It wasn't like she was trying to ignore him or anything, she had just simply figured he had better things to do than walk some girl he just home. She shrugged and waved the thought out of her mind, remembering that she would be seeing him that night, anyways.
As soon as she got to her house, she hopped in the shower, and got out, then slipped on her bikini, and over that a brown dress with flats to match. She walked to the mirror, looking herself up and down. Cute, simple, she thought as she let her damp hair down which fell upon her shoulders, leaving a sweet, yet sexy, edge to the outfit.
She grabbed her bag, and slipped her phone inside, then made her way to the party, wondering who all was going to attend.

"'Sup." he had heard Chase say. He shrugged. He could tell the boy didn't have much interest in starting a conversation, but he was determined. He put on his sweetest smile. "Just looking around..this place is extremely boring," was all he could think of to say. "Are you going to the party later?" He spoke in a soft, shy voice.

Mano looked at the time before answering his text,he just changed and he didn't plan on swimming,so he put is remaining cigerette on the concert and stepped on it with his sneaker. He looked at his text and chuckled,wow Dustin get abandoned by a girl,he thought he never see the day.He put his phone in his pocket before getting up and getting on his motorcycle,he rarely had a chance to use it in New York so he was going to use it whenever he got the chance. Before he started the engine,he texted Dustin back. None? Damnit,well just wait until New York. Weather's cold but the girls are hot. And I Never thought I see the day you got rejected,be there in a few. He put it back away and started the engine. He drove off and started towards the villa. After a few minutes he pulled up and parked his bike. He never wore a helmet unless he was going cross country and he did that once from California to Arizona.
He didn't see anyone outside,so he headed inside to see Dustin's father. He waved,believe it or not Dustin's father was one of the only adults he gave respect to. Not just because he was disabled like Mano's grandfather but because he just seemed like he's been througha shit load and Mano wasn't about to add on to that load. He looked around and headed back outside,guessing Dustin wasn't there yet and he knew that his dad was going to ask him to help and he would shockingly feel bad and do it,but he wasn't going to do it alone. He checked his pocket and made sure he had three things,his keys,his phone,and his cigerettes incase he got stressed aka seeing Koa again. He sat on one of the steps and started to tap his left foot on the ground.
Koa Alana Mahaulu | Local l The Park | Day 1
"You look good," She blushed a little,never being one to take compliments well unless by Mano. "Thanks,it's a change. Never thoguht I would actually get the little makeover She put a piece of hair behind her ear and looked at Kale. "You're going to college in New York? Where?, I'm going to SUNY at Albany for Criminal Justice. It's a smallish city, but I'm housing there so it's cool," She smiled,she loved talking about her move. She was excited to move back to big city. Um,Columbia in Manhattan. I'm going for photography and journalism. I applyed to SUNY but I like more of the big city scene and it's a great place to get pictures,so I chose Columbia." She shrugged. She started to see a few people leave and she started to remember.
Great,the party. She exhaled deeply. "You know that party tonight,do you mind going with me?" She started to notice how strange that sounded. "Not like a date or anything but my dad told Dustin's father that I would help out but I don't feel like going alone especially having to see Mano again. But,if you don't want to I understand since we rarely have ever talked until now,but I would really appericate it if you did." She wasn't try to gulit him to do anything,she barely knew the guy but see woul skip it if she had to go alone and have to see Mano and is little buddy flirt with girls right in front of her,plus it wouldn't kill her to make him jealous a little bit.
Chase Rich | ORPHAN | Cabins | Day 1
"Yeah, it is boring." Chase said in his normal voice and a blank stare. "And yeah, I'm going. It ain't like there's anything else going on." He added his answer to the question about the party with a slight smile. He actually wanted to go to the party. It will give him a chance to meet some new people and catch up with some people from the orphanage. He nodded his head a few times. "You gonna go?" He asked Dmitry. He didn't want to be rude and not ask. It seemed to him that Dmitry was actually trying to talk, so why not talk? Chase had no idea what he was suppose to wear to this party though. All he brought was some men's tank-tops, baggy jean shorts, some beanies, some flat duck-bill caps, and his jacket. All well, he'll just wear whatever. He ain't afraid to be judged. As Chase though about this, a small smile came on his face.
Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Villa | Day 1
Dustin arrived the villa in a matter of 10 minutes, already recognizing his father's car parked along the street of the building. While he knew that the orphan's benefactor was rich, he didn't expect the villa to be as large as it was. Taking in the building, Dustin spotted the large pool cast outside with a couple people swarming over the yard as they started to set up the DJ. He sighed, heading inside the building, nodding at a couple of locals who were part of the welcome committee. They were setting up tables outside, laying some food outside on top of the bright green table cloth his father had bought the other day. He opened the large glass door of the mansion, walking into the large ballroom, only noticing Mano sitting by the doorsteps of the entrance before was about to head in. Dustin's face lit up, "Oh shit," He exclaimed, letting go of the door, and retracting his steps. He didn't think the guy would actually make it here early. "You're actually on time." Dustin joked, standing on the porch next to him. He hadn't check his messages since he arrived at the house, so he didn't know Mano had been on his way. He smiled at his friend, "You ready to go through hell?" He shook his head, moving his eyes back to the glass door. His father would probably make Mano help him too.
Mano Bae Kama | Local | Villa | Day 1
"Oh,shit. You're actually on time." A smirk crept on his face as he looked up to see his friend. He stood up and looked down at Dustin. "Ha ha,funny man. You really hurt me." He smirked with srcasm in his voice. Just like you,there is a frist time for everything even me being on time for once." He could remember how in school he was late almost every day except Fridays. Mano chuckled,yea he messed with his friends when something like that happened but he had his share of getting rejected,maybe a handful but still for Mano that was too much. "You ready to go through hell?" He opened his mouth before closing it and shaking his head. "No,not really. I'm not much of a helpful person,but I like parties plus your dad would work you to death if I didn't come. If you died,who'd be my wingman?" He raised an eyebrow. He exhaled looking inside,Mano is what you could call lazy when it came to work other than his band's gigs or anything to do with music so this would be interesting. He looked at a few of the local girls walking inside and got a smirk on his face,but they were two easy to flirt with besides two of them he already went on dates with,that ship has sailed. Plus,he wasn't looking for a summer romance,he wanted to relax with his friends,write a few new songs,and to get back to school so he could flirt with girls who knew absolutly nothing about him. He walked towards the door and waited for Dustin. "So,I gotta ask you,what is the name of that smart--I mean mystery girl?" He always messed with people when something happened,good or not. He chuckled and looked around to seeing which one it could be,Because Dustin was like himself. The girl had to be hot and then she had to be interesting for her to peak their interest or at least for Mano. He would move on to the next girl until he found the right one.

As Milani walked towards the Villa, she shoved her phone into her purse, and looked around. Her hair had now gone from being damp and straight, to volumious and curly; she liked it. Five minutes later she arrived, and walked inside. There weren't many people there yet, as she scanned the room for any old friends. She saw Dustin, and caught his eye. She smiled and waved, then remembered earlier. She hadn't blown him off..had she? She shrugged at the idea, and made her way over to a table, then sat, pulling out her phone and glancing at the messages she could have cared less about reading.
Jordan Lee Kessel | Orphan | cabins | Day 1
Jordan looked at her watch "Looks like we got to get ready or we are going to be late" she said to Ashley and then grabbed the black top and white shorts, also grabbing her bathing suit. She got in the shower and took about ten minutes. Drying off she then got dressed in the bathing suit, then the white shorts and black top. She looked into the mirror, If only I was prettier she thought to herself as she took a brush and brushed our her hair. She decided to leave her hair down instead of having up like she always did. She walked out of the bedroom and put on her flip flops "I guess I will meet you there" she said and then walked out of her cabin and wondered if Jessabelle was coming or not she walked over to the other girls cabin and knocked.
"Jessabelle its Jordan I was wondering if you where going to the party?" she asked wondering if Jessabelle was still there or if she already left. She waited there and wondered how they would be getting to the party.
Dustin Keoni Nagahara| Local | Villa | Day 1
"Your dad would work you to death if I didn't come. If you died,who'd be my wingman? At that, Dustin laughed. It was true. His dad was a maniac when it came to planning anything - especially because he couldn't do any work himself. He was, in fact, bound to a wheelchair. Dustin glanced up to the line of girls who were heading inside the mansion, recognize a handfull of them. To Mano's interest, Milani was a part of that crowd. He was careful to not make any eye contact with her, however, and looked back to Mano. It was like his best friend read his thoughts, because a few seconds after, he asked about her. Dustin almost choked, "Smartass? Uh, well, she's right there." He nodded to Milani, who had been sitting on one of the tables being set up by the help. Dustin looked back to his friend, waiting for his reaction. Milani wasn't ugly at all, actually, she was actually pretty hot. That was in Dustin's eyes, however, he was unsure about Mano's.
Dustin moved his eyes away from Milani and back to Mano, "We should probably head inside. My dad's going to be so pissed off we're late." He started to get up from the porch steps, and waited on Mano. "Kailea's probably already inside - with Kai." He spoke before he thought about what he was saying.

Jessabelle looked up from the cabin window when heard Jordan's voice come from the door. The light from the sun outside damaged her eyes a little, and she had trouble looking at her friend with seeing a smudge of light. She smiled, however, and looked to Jordan. "Yeah, of course I'm coming." She replied happily, moving along to her backpack and pulling out her bikini top and bottom. Was it that late already? She hadn't noticed. Deciding to shower when she got out of the pool later on, Jessabelle headed into the bathroom and pulled on a cotton dress, which matched perfectly with her blonde hair and blue eyes. She slid her flipflops on, and pulled her hair into a sloppy bun, and looked over to Crystal. She seemed pretty comfortable where she was right now, and Jesse didn't want to bother her. "If you decide to come, I have an extra bathing suit on top of the bed if you need it. I'll see you later!" She smiled, closing the cabin the door behind her, and leaving the girl alone.
Jessabelle looked back to Jordan, "Is anyone else coming? The guys or anything?" She asked, looking around the other cabins around them.

Jordan was waiting there when she saw Jessabelle and glad to hear that the other girl was coming. While she waited for Jessabelle she sat on the steps of the cabin and looked up to the sky sort of day dreaming. She then heard Jessabelle come out "Is anyone else coming? The guys or anything?" "I don't know I haven't seen any of the guys. I like your dress by the way, so do you know how we will be getting there?" she asked as she stood up and brushed off her shorts.
"Have you taken a look around yet? I haven't but this place is just beautiful, its like a dream I am living in but its come true. Never in my life I woulda thought I be in Hawaii" she said as she looked around, wondering what the guys where like around here.

Milani sort of frowned as Dustin seemed to have ignored her. Guess I sort of did the same to him, however.. She brushed it off as best she could, and put on a smile that could please hundreds, and fake thousands. She had been excited for the party, but at this point, she just wanted to go to the comfort of the beach, lay out, and relax. She looked around for familiar faces--well, familiar faces she actually wanted to talk too. Most all of her usual crowd was gone out on vacations of some sorts; Here you are, alone. How cool are you?
Her inner babbling kept her entertained for quite some time. She pulled out her phone from her smallbag,checking for any new messages. She was a bit disappointed that there were none. Her phone was usually always ringing, but not these days. She was ready for Senior year to come and go, so she could leave the island and go to the Actual states, as she referred to them, and explore the opportunities of becoming a photographer, or an artist.
She looked around again, half hoping someone would approach her, the other half hoping that if she tried hard enough, she could magically appear far away from here.

He smiled. Kale preferred it when people took compliments instead of rejected them and called themselves the opposite. It drives him nuts how some girls can look pretty, call themselves ugly, and then get offended when others disagree. Weight as well. He wasn't a fan of bullying or anything of the type. It pisses him off to the highest extent. He asked about her move and Koa instantly seemed to be happier about the whole idea. She shared her plans with him easily. "Um,Columbia in Manhattan. I'm going for photography and journalism. I applyed to SUNY but I like more of the big city scene and it's a great place to get pictures,so I chose Columbia." Kale guessed she was really excited for it. Hell, he was hype for college. Two of his good friends, Josh and Alice, were also accepted into the same college. He knew how hard it was to pick a college to fit your needs and wants. He had to decline a college in Hawaii since he wasn't entirely sold to it even though he would have loved to stay close to his mother who had been begging him to attend college on the islands.
The next thing that came out of Koa's mouth surprised him. "You know that party tonight,do you mind going with me?" She started to notice how strange that sounded. "Not like a date or anything but my dad told Dustin's father that I would help out but I don't feel like going alone especially having to see Mano again. But,if you don't want to I understand since we rarely have ever talked until now,but I would really appericate it if you did." Kale's smile weakened a bit, but he wasn't weirded out at all. He thought it was nice of her to invite him to a party he obviously would have never gone to with his lack of socialization on the island as of now. "Party?" he asked wondering where and why since he knew that a Fourth of July celebration wasn't until a day or two. "Yeah, I'll go. I'm guessing Kailea will be there?" He treated Kailea almost like his little sister. "Where is it? When is it?" He laughed realizing he had a bunch of questions to ask. "Who else is coming?"
