Introduction
In recent times, Pokémon have been vanishing from this world. Fewer and fewer appear in the wild anymore, and people only have a guess as to why. It’s believed that their disappearance is somehow connected to the sudden increase in the number of people that own shadow Pokémon…at least, that’s what people are saying. The Pokémon used by these trainers are more powerful than most. Rumor has it that there’s a new group utilizing machinery, very similar to what had been used before, in the Orre region, to create shadow Pokémon out of wild Pokémon. However, that still doesn’t explain the sudden drop in wild Pokémon completely. After all, there are still many more Pokémon missing than there are shadow Pokémon owned by trainers. And that certainly doesn’t explain why the few Pokémon that are still found in the wild are much more vicious lately, attacking to kill, even if they aren’t hunting for food. Their only hope: The School.
Shadow Pokémon: A Pokémon whose heart has been artificially closed, turning it into a mindless, emotionless fighting machine. They fight to kill, and do not differentiate between their Pokémon opponents, and the trainers that back them up, and are likely to attack and kill either.
Purification: The process of purification is a long one, and takes patience to complete. The only way to purify them is to befriend them, and remind them of the feelings and emotions that they have lost. But even then, they aren’t completely purified. They need to be taken back to the school, where teachers and staff have developed machinery that completes the purification process. Their machinery has been based off the original process of completing the purification; they have studied the area around Celebi’s Shrine that was once used to complete this process, and copied it into their machinery.
The School: With the sudden increase in possible shadow Pokémon sightings, a school has been created to attempt to control the problem. They are training young students to be able to catch purify, and release the Pokémon back into the wild. Eventually, they hope to catch and bring down the gang that is causing the problem. Lately, though, they haven’t even come across a trace that might lead them to it.
The school itself exists on an island, where Pokémon are still common enough, but even now they are slowly starting to vanish. The students are split into two separate teaching styles, one for seeing and understanding, and one for catching and training.

They are then required to train the Pokémon in survival within its own habitat, as far as searching for its own food, shelter, and company, and being able to decide whether or not the Pokémon it ready to be released into the wild. These students use machinery to be able to see the black aura surrounding shadow Pokémon. They receive their first Pokémon in order to practice caring for them, and may ask for help from older and more experienced students, or from teachers. If a teacher suspects that they are not properly caring for their Pokémon, the teacher may or may not insist it be released back into the wild and that the student learn more before catching another. In order to be able to see the Pokémon, the students must be able and willing to learn and understand a Pokémon’s behavior in the wild, and be able to teach them to survive in the wild as they naturally would.
Catching: These students are trained to befriend the Pokémon, and help those that can see to care for them. These students are only required to know how to teach Pokémon to battle, and to survive in fights in the wild. These students use machinery in order to turn ordinary pokeballs into snag balls, that are capable of catching Pokémon that already belong to other trainers. This is only to be used for the capture of shadow Pokémon, and a student will have both their Pokémon and machine taken away if found using it to catch other Pokémon from trainers. The students in this program must be able to defend themselves and their partners should their Pokémon fall, and have an understanding for training Pokémon to battle successfully.
One student from each program is partnered up, to create a team of two that can successfully capture, train, purify, and release Pokémon into the wild. These pairs are not allowed to leave the island except in teams. A team will be made up of several pairs, led by the eldest in the group. These teams will only leave the island on specific missions, and those missions can only be assigned by a teacher, and are to be taken very seriously. Some teams will be sent out more often than others, based on previous accomplishments, and teams and pairs may not be reassigned unless there is a very serious problem.

Most are allowed to capture their first Pokémon at the age of 16, though some are considered good enough to capture their Pokémon at 15. The schools rules are very simple:

4. You listen to your team leader; they are the ones guiding you, and know what they are doing.
5. Respect your Pokémon; they are living, breathing creatures, just as you and your partner are.
6. Boys are not to enter the girls dorm, just as girls are not to enter the boys dorm.
7. You will be in your dorm, and at the very least be quiet, by 10PM. You are to remain quiet, or asleep, until 7AM, when everyone is to report for breakfast.
That’s not to say that, in this rp, you must obey the school rules or you can’t rp here anymore; rather, keep in mind that teachers are capable of punishing you for it and, if you break enough school rules, you will be sent home, and will not be allowed to attend.

Thomas didn't press the conversation but found her quip about his laptop curious. "no what would give you that impression im just uploading pictures ive taken over the past week and sending them to magazines. maybe ill check the news but i doubt it nothing really going on generally. what i should do is go and train but i think i can forgo that today to get to know you a little better perhaps." Thomas finished clicking away then satisfied closed the laptop and leaned back with a sigh. he disconnected everything stacked it neatly and pushed it out of the way. "So tell me about yourself. what has you hear doing this, what do you do for fun?" where just a couple of the questions Thomas asked as he tried to make polite conversation and learn something about Rose. Aiden finaly found his way into the kitchen and sat down next to Thomas letting him scratch his head absentmindedly. nothing to historical was asked just things that pertained to the present.

Songrose shrugged. "Oh, that...well, most people don't bother with their computer the first day; they're usually more focused on the Pokemon or new partners." She sighed, turning her attention back to the food. "Well...I suppose getting to know each other is a good thing. But, for every question I answer, you should answer the same one. That way both know more about each other. ...I'm not very good at asking those types of questions myself." She grinned a little, briefly wiping her eyes and making sure she was presentable before standing back up and looking at him. It should prove to be a good enough distraction, she figued. "What has me here was originally an escape, but what I was escaping from has little to do with this conversation. It was an escape, and something to do with Pokemon; they were all I could trust for a little while, aside from Daemyn. For fun..." She had to stop and think. When was the last time she had fun? "...I don't know. It's been too long, and I've been more focused ontaking care of my teams, and then keeping Daemyn in check. I suppose cooking counts, though..."
She only glanced at Sora as he complained about not having time to eat. Of coursehe hadn't had time to eat; he should have arrived earlier, and eaten faster, or even taken some of the food with him. She shook her head, then looked backat Thomas. "I suppose you should know...I will often be distracted. I have more than my partner and my brother towatch after, you know? I need to be able to keep track of just about everything..."
Anna shook her head. "I'm not overly worried about poisons; that's what full heals are for. What I'm worried about are infections. So I am going to worry." She giggled slightly at his stutter; apparently he had a problem with big words, she thought. "...I believe the word you're looking for is metabolism," she pointed out. Though maybe it would have been easier if he was actually paying attention to what he was doing. How else could he have gotten bitten so many times?

Aiden smiled as the conversation picked up "lets see im here because here is better than home i guess. my family isn't the closest and it was just time for me to leave. so i grabbed what little i had Aiden here and my camera and laptop and left. that was a few years ago. I picked up martial arts training along the way though i doubt your really interested in hearing about that. finally one day i saw a flier for the school and saw it as a chance to do something, give back a little and look for a Riolu ive only seen a few but they would be awesome training partners although im not sure i could let aiden go, hes been with me for too long." Thomas paused then kept going as he looked at aiden being content to be scratched. "for fun i guess you could say ill do whatever sounds good though my hobbies are photography and martial arts. not to say i don't enjoy climbing swimming just about anything life's to short mine as well enjoy it you know.?" Thomas finished then asked "so whats for dinner?"

Songrose grinned, and shrugged. "Ah...dinner..." She paused, glancing back at the closed fridge. She had been in there...but had yet to decide on anything in particular. She looked back to Thomas and shrugged. "I'm still deciding. I need to find something that might actually fill that boy up..." That sounded to be a bit hard; how could he worry so much about eating? "...Possibly just hamburgers...something simple that everyone has tried, or at least heard of before. I don't want to experiment too much with food the first day with the team. Oh, that reminds me." She paused, glancing around, and deciding she'd need to raise her voice again for a moment. "Does anyone have anyfood allergies before I start cooking?" She shook her head, turning back to Thomas. "A necessity; can't have my team getting sick so soon."

So if you have to keep an eye on all of them then i guess that means im gonna be busy trying to keep up." Thomas said thoughtfully as he continued scratching Aiden. His dad would have flipped out if he knew he was in this school and probably would have treated him like a beggar at that. Thomas just smiled "so the whole hard ass thing is just an act i take it you dont seem the type to take it to much to heart." Thomas said confedantly as he finaly stopped scratching Aiden and leaned on the counter.

Songrose paused as he mentioned her behavior before. She sighed, attention facing the counter. "...Yeah, it's all an act. But that's necessary, too. I mean, how can I get the team to listen to me, and keep them in shape, and keep them from arguing, and out of trouble, and make them rsponsible if I can't..." She shook her head, glancing off to the side. "...It was all Star's idea, and I took to it. She's always been like that; could swear she was a leader herself in her flock when she was with them. ...But I'm pretty much useless without the facade." She paused again, looking up at him. "Bu that doesn't mean the rooms won't be checked, or that I won't be checking the time to make sure yo all are keeping to schedule!" She sighed; she had slipped back into a commanding tone for that last sentence.
She shook her head. "And how else can I possibly control Daemyn? You heard him before...if I can't stay strong enough, he gets into more trouble, and ends up walking all over me." Songrose grinend, somewhat pleased at his offer. "I don't know how much there is for you todo, really. When I prepare the meat, and mold them into shape, I use a certain spice, and a certain amount of it, too. ...I suppose you could try to actually cook the meat...do you at least know how to do that without burning it, or leaving it undercooked?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice. She liked cooking, but, if it wasn't perfect, she wasn't happy. But there was so little for others to do, since she used so many spices and herbs where most people did not, and they were strange ones, too. "I just need to make a good enough impression with my food on the first day; otherwise, I might find them eating somewhere else, and that isn't good for them...for anyone..."

The death grip of a hug was slowly releasing as she could smell some kind of spices lofting in from the kitchen. The hug was over and in a flash Kish rolled into the kitchen. The smell was so tantalizing to her nose, oh how she did love spicy foods. She picked up on a word that raised a red flag in her mind, "... allergies.... oh shiza burgers...." she thought to herself as her eyes almost bugged out of her skull. She made her way over to her leader who was now talking to her partner about what he could do to help.
"I hate to burst anyone's bubble, specially yours, but I have a small problem..." she trailed off looking down to her right wrist. Searching through the mound of metal she wore just as a smile spread across her face.
"Here it is!" she bursted out picking a very odd looking one from the bunch presenting it to her now.
"This little piece of metal here is the most important thing I own." Flipping it over to reveal the back side of the pendant it read out, KISH KINKERSON MEDICAL ID 048639702 ALLERGY: GLUTEN was what it said in the embossed letters.
"Now I do hope this doesn't counter act any of those amazing spices you added... because I'm going to need to read the ingredients to make sure it's safe for me to eat. Don't worry though, if you cook something that I can't eat I have a suitcase full of special rice based ramen. I had issues with it before, so I come prepared." Thomas nodded yea i can cook meat and then another girl burst in and Thomas sat back and just smiled as he listened to her go off. Aiden seemed alarmed by the sudden intrusion but that was quickly subsided. as Aiden placed his hand on him and simply made a shushing sound to him.

I'm going to the room to unpack and settle down." He stompped off to the dorm room and slammed the door shut. "I can tell that I hate every single one of those ignorent dumb-asses."

Songrose paused, giving a little shrug as she looked over the metal. "...Read what? You can read the labels on the spices I use...just oran leaves and tomato berries crushed into a spice...then there's the meat...no problem with gluten there..." She shrugged again. "I don't write down my recipes, so there isn't anything to read. Everything I do is either memorized by heart, or an experiment, so..." She glanced up as she heard her brother, and rolled her eyes. "I know you can hear my; maybe you'll learn something. Oh, and do remember; I'd have to remove your door as a punishment for slamming it again...I don't want to bother the rest of the guys, too..."

"Yeah! Whatever you say, dearest sister!" Daemyn rolled his eyes and looked at his phone. 5 new messages, right. Like I really want to talk to you, he thought. He picked one of the beds and started to lay down. He didn't want to say anything at the moment. He already hated his new partner, she bugged him. And that Thomas kid, what a joke!

Songrose shook her head. What was she supposed to do with him? She paused as her own phone rang, and she pulled her phone out cautiously. There was only one person that called her anymore, and even then, it was when he couldn't get a hold of Daemyn. She quickly tried to hide her scowl, nodding tothe others briefly. "If you want to real the labels on the spices, and the packaging on the meat, Kish, you can. I'll be right back. Umm..." She glanced at the other two girls. "Do me a favor, and keep out of the bedroom for a few minute, will you?" She hurried into the bedroom, being careful not to slam the door behind herself.
She frowned at the phone a moment before answering. "Yes?" She listend to the voice on the other end. While her greeting had been cheery, she had a dark scowl on her own face. "Oh, he didn't? Perhaps he has a reason to avoid you; can you think of anything?" She rolled her eyes. "Right, of course I'll talk to him. The problem is it's not easy to talk to him...yeah, it is your fault." Without another word she hung up the phone, turning her scowl to the ceiling. Star watched her, one head tilted to the side. She had never understood the situation; Song hadn't even explained it to her. But she knew it was something, the way her face looked. She quickly wiped it clear, walking back to the others. Sora overheard the conversation in the kitchen and said to Anna, "So far I've found that: two people have issues with food, on opposite ends of the spectrum, three of us can't sit still, two of us might end up ripping out each other's throats, and I'm not the only one who needs a façade...did I miss anything?" He laugh but still meant the question seriously as he wasn't really paying much attention earlier...

Anna paused, but grinned slightly. "A facade? Why would you need a facade? She shouldn't even need a facade..." she added in a whisper as the girl went to take over the bedroom for a moment. She shrugged. "I don't think you missed anything...that sounded about accurate to me. ...By the way...which one of those am I?" she asked, a joking smile on her face. She knew Thomas and Daemyn were probably the ones going to rip each other's throats...and he and Kish apparently had problems wit food...but what was all that about a facade?

She fingered over the spices and quickly scanned the labels doing the same to the meat too. While scanning carefully looking around the room between bottles she noticed the ring of the phone with the sour look to match. It seemed that the poster child was not the end to her plight. Looking back up from her findings she smiled brightly at Song,
"All good on this front... how about you, chief?" she asked as she cocked one eyebrow. She gave her a simple salute and then spun around. She turned to leave the kitchen when all of a sudden she slowed her roll,
"... looks as though Ma'am isn't the drill sergeant we thought... eh...?" she uttered under her breath as she clasped the computer kid on the shoulder. She continued on her way through the kitchen into the hallway.
"So where is our smoking pit to...?" she bellowed out to the kitchen while opening the front door. One foot out and one in rocking back and forth waving the door with her.
"All good on this front... how about you, chief?" she asked as she cocked one eyebrow. She gave her a simple salute and then spun around. She turned to leave the kitchen when all of a sudden she slowed her roll,

Songrose nodded, forcing a smile. "That's good, then. I guess we can start making dinner now, then," she said with a little grin. Already, she was starting to shape the burers, putting her own spices on them as she did. She could never follow a recipe; she always kept these things to herself. Besides, she liked to experiment too much to rely on a recipe to cook. That just seemed ridiculous! Besides, half the time there was something that could be dne better in those recipes. She pausd to look up. Everyone seemed to be getting along...except Daemyn, of course. She sighed, glancing towards where Kish's voice was coming from. "Smoking pit? What are you talking about?"
Anna shrugged, glancing around. "I can keep still; but only if I have to. It's just easier to keep moving." She noticed that he had avoided mentioning the facade, but let it drop. If he wanted to talk about it, he would, she was sure. She glanced around as he mentioned Daemyn. "That one...you mean where he is? "Food..." He smelt the aroma coming out of the kitchen and went into a sort of trance like state, until that is, he seen his partner staring at him and laughed, "I'm hungry, OK..." He went into the kitchen and said to Song, "Hey, Leader, a bit of advice, don't tell me how long something's gonna be,no matter how much I ask you, cause I have a strange of perception of time and 10 minutes feels like 10 hours, approximately, so that will just make time more or less slow down for me, just so you know..." He smiled then went back to talk to Anna, "You got any kind of quirks or kinks ?" Apparently he hadn't given up with Buneary and put a small pile of food in front of it, "Maybe it will get used to my scent..."

Daemyn finished unpacking, when his phone rang again. He decided to answer, but he would quickly say something and hang up. "Daemyn! Before you hang up, I wanted to say hello and ask how you are doing," the destinct sound of his father's voice echoed through the phone. "What do you want, old man?" "I want you to come back, Daemyn. I miss you and I promise not to hurt you anymore." Daemyn rolled his eyes as his father said that, knowing it was a lie. "Both you and I know that is a lie, old man. I want nothing to do with you," Daemyn said quickly, trying to work up the nerve and hang up. "Daemyn Christopher Laidon! I am your father and you very well better listen to me! You know how much you breaking you mother's ..." his father started before Daemyn cut him off and hung up his phone.
"I can't beleve that basterd has the nerve to keep calling me and ordering me around." Daemyn said. He looked down at his phone and suddenly, he had enough. He threw his phone as hard as possible against the door, shattering the phone. Tears streamed down his face before he could stop them. He threw himself on his bed and waited for someone to yell at him for making so much noise.

"...Come here, Daemyn; dinner should be ready soon...you need to cal yourself down before then..."

Alright; I've got the pairings . Nasia's told me she wants me to announce it, since she left a good portion of that to me. Not sure yet on when we're actually starting yet, but it should be soon. Now, as far as the pairings, I tried to match them up based solely on personality...but I'm not entirely sure I did a good job on it. So...
Daemyn is paired with Kish.
Thomas is paired with Songrose.
Annastrianna is paired with Sora.
If anyone has any problems, I'll take a look and try to fix them as they're pointed out to me. As far as rooming, as I said before, up to four in a room, separated by gender. All of our charcters will probably be put in the same room because there will probably only be one team, and the school would want the team to stay together in case something happens; in case of emergency. Any questions?

Yeah, I know...and I know she's online now. Sounds good to me. :P. A Growlithe is kinda more fun, anyway; it has more of a chance to cause trouble and get away with it cuz you can just pick up the Pikachu and tell it no...though the shock would be a bit tough... :P As far as the pairings and rooming go...I think I've got a good idea, just waiting to see if Breckki comes up with a character soon enough; if not, I'll just make another character later on to make up for it so, even if the character comes in late, there'll be a pairing there. Rooming...possibly up to four in a room, separated by gender, obviously. :P Roommates are pretty much decided now. :P

Hints? ...Nothing decisive, really. Again, she's disappeared for the day, so everything definite will have to wait until tomorrow. We're trying to base the pairings based on personality rather than capabilities or Pokemon or whatever, and Nasia's a little hard to talk with online...doesn't necessarily have the reasonings together yet. :P We have possibly decided a partner for Songrose so far but, without the other character, and knowing whether or not the character will come in time, we can't say anything for sure. It all basically depends on whether or not I need to make another character, or the type of character Beckki gives us, if they ever do. That's about the closest to a hint I can give without giving it all away. :P
Edit: Oh, wolf, did you ever decide on the Pokemon you were going to use as a starting partner?

Oh, yeah, sure you can join. Umm...if you would at least tell me if it's going to be catching or seeing shadow Pokemon, though, that would be great, so I know whether or not I need to make another one to even things out.
I'm not the one approving characters, I know, but I'm sure she won't mind another character. So I guess we're waiting for that one to be finished before we see about adding any other characters and pairing them up. ...Well, when she gets on tomorrow, anyway. I think she's disappeared for the day...
Edit: If the character isn't made soon, we'll have to start moving on with pairing people up and everything soon enough. If you're going to get that character done, by tomorrow would be a good idea. We've already started talking about the pairings...
