Introduction

It is the year 2034. In a small traditional Japanese apartment complex in Tokyo live a group of female otakus. The complex has a no boys allowed rule with exeptions for girly boys or bishounen. The otakus are different and strange, so they are therefore considered as losers in society. For weeks now people have been trying to buy the complex from the landlady to tear it down and build a more modern one in its place. But the otakus do not want to give up their home. They have to fend off the people who want to buy it and defend themselves from possible threats such as yakuza hired by the money offerers and unauthorized wrecking attempts. And another problem is on its way: Good looking boys have moved in next door, but half of them seem to crossdress. As hipsters the good looking neighbors arent as shallow as the otakus think they are. Now whats going to happen?

The Otaku girls: Remember they are either ugly or if they are pretty, then they have an unhygienic or messy lifestyle that may make them seem unattractive. But dont worry, as soon as the good looking guys nextdoor move in, they will try to make the best out of the otakus, even if it means to force them to look good.

The guys next door: There are six of them. At least two of them crossdress. They care about how they look but arent shallow enough to show disgust towards the otakus. They want to make them look better. Maybe even turn them into princesses. The boys compared to the otaku girls are rich.

The time: It is the year 2034. It is a time of advanced technology, vivid colors and maybe a cyborg here or there. Tokyo has grown almost to a megametropolis.

The apartment complex: The complex is built in a traditional japanese style. There are nine apartments all at ground level. The building has a square like form and has a garden in the middle where the people can grill or picnic. There is a kitchen and dining room where all the complex members eat together. The complex is about two trainstations away from Shibuya.

It was another morning and Yuka stood outside in her kimono smoking another cigarette. The table was set and food was on it: A big bowl of rice, eggs, tamago (japanese omelet), veggies, fish, meat etc. It was like a breakfast for a royal family. It was like this every Friday. Yuka always cooked three or four times more on Fridays. "Every please wake up. Breakfast is ready." With these words everybody should get up and everyone knows they have to get up when Yuka says this because if they dont, Yuka will force them out of bed. Plus no one would want to miss such a breakfast.
"Ding dong." The doorbell rang. Yuka walked to the door with her cigarette in her mouth and a large knife still in her hand. As she opened up, three shady guys stood there. "Huh? What do you want? Cant you see I am busy?" Yuka said with a face that said: "I dont give a **** about you." The guy in the center, the one with sunglasses and a weird hairdo, noticed the stench of sake and the bloody cooking knife in Yukas hand. The man froze and said nervously: "Sorry wrong house." He turned around and walked in a very stiff manner. Yuka then closed the door and sighed: "If those were yakuza, then they are a shame to their brothers." The housemates should be getting up by now.

Sanako slipped from her bed stumbling over to her closet. "Ah, I was up late again.." She had been reading the latest magazine's about the new boy's love editions coming out and had stayed up well into the night. She pulled out a black tank top and a pair of sky blue shorts at random and put them on. After searching around for a while she found her glasses and slipped those on.

"Geez! I'm hungry! I smell food!" She ruffled her messy hair figuring that would make it okay and walked out of her room stretching sleepily. She arrived downstairs and smiled. "Hi Yuka! Nice day today. Who were those people?" She sat down and reached forward taking some vegetables to eat while she waited for the other girls to come. The other girl in the house was fairly pretty but a bit like a spineless nun whereas she, herself showed most of the skin on the body because she simply didn't care. Yuka though was the tough person and the landlady of the house. In alot of ways Sanako admired her. Otherwise the last girl was friend that wasn't as bad off as the others. She was cute enough, but the attitude is what got to most people. Sanako, though didn't mind it. With all the girls in the house it was something she could call home.

Reien yawned and slowly opened her eyes. She could hear her house-mates getting ready to eat breakfast. She slowly arose from bed, then immediatley grabbed a black jacket that hung on a peg. She slipped it on and zipped it all the way to the top.

"Good morning Sanako, Yuka!" Reien smiled sitting down at the table, putting some rice and a tomago on the plate.

Katou stepped out of his room that early morning, cup of warm mandarin tea in one hand, the other holding his two boots. His bare feet padded against the wooden floor as he jogged down the stairs to the kitchen, a smile on his face as he hummed to himself. Boxes were still scattered about from the boy's unpacking the day before, only half of the blonde's wardrobe unpacked.

Dropping himself into one of the kitchen chairs, Katou pulled on his boots, glancing around while listening. There wasn't even a sign of the other boys being awake yet! But, of course, the twenty year old didn't often notice even the most obvious things. But, oh! Men were outside! A trio walked stiffly by their new home, a thin smile carving onto Katou face. Maybe the newspaper was here~? Well, that would be his excuse.

Tugging his dress flat and flicking his scarf over his shoulder, the male did a final mirror check before making his way outside and to the street. Yep, the newspaper was there, but, those guys weren't nearly as good looking as they looked through the window. Too bad, he would have to try again later.

Sanako smiled seeing Reien. "Hello sunshine! Oh! The newspaper! I'll go get that." She stood taking another bite of her food and walked past Yuka opening the door. She looked up to the sky and grinned stretching happily. "Ah! I love fresh sunshine!" She looked around for a moment then grabbed the newspaper that was near the door. She froze spotting someone from the corner of her eye.

That hair. Those colors. That fashionable sense. That sweet smell of...Of...Of! Fashion! It's a fashionable hipster!

Sanako pointed at the girl trembling then finally froze in shock. Her eyes staring into nothing trying to seem small and insignificant. She hoped the strange and evil creature would go away soon. The very horror of her noticing Sanako made her wanna scream bloody terror.

Reien looked outside and noticed Sanako's horror. "Oh no!" she said in quiet horror. "Somethings wrong with Sanako!" tears filled Reien's eyes as she stood, knocking her empty glass over. "Sanako! Sanako-chan!! What is it!?!" She pleaded, prepared to get Yuka's help.

"Nnnnngrh... Five more minuuuuutes..." She said, turning in her bed, and was probably not going to get up until the afternoon if it weren't for the sudden falling of her shelf filled with figures falling on her. She suddenly sat up straight, her arms in a fighting stance that she had seen from an anime, and cried out, "WHOSTHERE?" She looked down for a moment though to see that it was only figurines, and was a bit disappointed that there was no one she could , though she'd rather not have her house mates get attacked. Her legs did hurt, but the shelf didn't really hit her that much. She put the shelf on the floor with the figures on it, deciding to just fix it later... Or perhaps it'd just stay there along with the other things in the room, only her video games were really "organized". There were video games and the consoles all over her room.

She got up and dressed in a yellow shirt with purple pants, a green beanie, and red gloves. She was aware that her clothes didn't really match and it wasn't in style, but she could really care less, let them think what they wanted to. Besides, her moves needed some practicing anyways. She walked into the main room and couldn't help but lick her lips at the sight and smell of food, "Looks delicious!" She said, going towards the table, but then remembered hearing some sort of "bell" like sound in her dream, "Oh, and were there any Yakuza at the door? Cuz' if there were, then you totally should have got me up let me use my moves on them, like my 'Love-and-Peace-KIIIIIIIIIICK!'" She said, suddenly kicking the air, but ended up falling on her bottom. She got up, "That only happened because there were no targets," After saying that, she sat at the table, getting a bunch of food(Most of them having meat in them, like the salmon) and ate it rather quickly, and perhaps would appear rude. After having ate her food she wiped her mouth with a napkin and put her dish in the sink, "Thanks for the food Yuka!" She said.

She suddenly then realized that she felt like she was forgetting something... Ah, yes, school! And from the time on the clock she seemed to be pretty late! Then she shrugged and stretched, Eh, I need a day off to catch up on my video games anyways, she thought, yawning. She noticed the rest of the girls, "Morning Reien and Sanako," She said, but then noticed that Sanako just seemed to be... Frozen there, "Hey, um, Sanako?" She said, peeking out from behind her to see what could possible be the matter, then she noticed what seemingly appeared to be a blond, fashionable girl(Katou), Probably a prep, she immediately thought upon seeing 'her'.

"Oh don't worry Reien, it's just some prep," She said, turning around.

Reien took a shaky breath, stabilizing herself, "Oh my! She scared me for a moment!" Reien smiled back, "Hehe, morning......." she mumbled, embarassed about the small scene. She finished eating and put her dishes away. "Thank you Yuka!" she said, smiling brightly. Then, Reien noticed the time.

"Oh no!" she cried, "Im so late!" she yelled, running to get to her room, "So very late for work! Uncle will murder me!" she unzipped her jacket and quickly put a white shirt on. She slipped on a skirt, then speedily brushed her hair. "Wahh! Uncle will have my head!!" she whined, running around the house getting ready for work. Reien put a black jacket over her blouse, then slipped her shoes on.

Sanako jolted out of her shock and looked to Alberto. "Oh hey. Wait.." She peered over having gotten into the delusion that she was just seeing things. She took a piece of paper from the newspaper having balled it up promptly. She threw it at the so called illusion and watched as it seemed to bounce off in slow motion.

"No! It's a fashionable! An evil hipster come back to haunt us! Forget the yakuza! Chiga-kun! Save me!" She ran back into the house and almost crashed into Reien who was running around getting ready for work. She grabbed a plate of omelet and ran to the stairway. "Ah well...It's been nice knowing you guys but Chiga calls to me!" She laughed nervously glancing to the door. "Have fun!" She grinned then ran up to her room and closed the door with a bang. She trembled for a moment then sighed in relief.

"A magnificent escape if I do say so myself. All that pretty hair and beauty. It's wrong! She kinda looked like you Chiga!" She shook her head and looked to her wall which acted as the support for her life sized poster of her favorite character in the manga, Chiga Yasawari. She walked over to him a faint blush appearing. "Oh Chiga-kun! Your daring rescue was so well done! It was disgraceful to see you in girl form with all that make-up. At first I thought I saw you then boom! A scary person but you saved me! Nya!" She giggled then shook her head once more clearing out her stranger thoughts. "No. Wrong. I need to get some work done." She sighed and waved to Chiga before checking in to her computer in the corner, beginning to work on proofreading for the moment, while eating a bit of the omelet she grabbed on the way up.

Yuka walked to the door and stood in front of the complex. She saw the fashionable and put on a mean mafia face and snapped her fingers. After that she punched into her hand letting out a mean grunt. Then she went back inside and closed the door. "I am glad you girls like the food." Lily said her mean face immediately turning into a smile. After grabbing something to eat, she decided to get dressed so she could meet the neighbors. She put on black thigh highs, a waloli dress that looked similar to her kimono and a collar. She then went over to the neighbors and rang.

Katou smiled as he saw the girl, waving. But, when the newspaper flew over towards him, the blonde yelp, jumping away. "What was that for?!" He groaned, frowning. Where were the other boys to help him when things were being thrown at him? Not fair. He watched her go inside the building, clutching the newspaper to his chest, eyebrows furrowed. Well, talk about new neighbors and first impressions! Geez!

But, he leaned down to swipe up the other newspaper. He would take it to them later, or at least make one of the other guys do it. So, Katou made his way back inside the building, thoughts swirling over the odd new neighbors as he threw it down on the counter. Where were these guys?! Just as the blonde took his tea back into hand, the doorbell rang.

Pulling his face back into a smile at the idea of a guest, he opened the door. Wasn't this the woman that had just practically stared him down from the neighbor's front door? "Good morning!" He smiled, setting his cup back down and grabbing the newspaper instead.

"Hi, you must be the new neighbor." Yuka said as she puffed smoke into Katous face. "I am the landlady from next door. The name is Yuka." She then took him by the sleeve and said: "If you hipsters dare to do anything with the girls, I will kill you!" She seemed like some pimp protecting her hos. Her serious expression then changed to a smile. "But if you want to talk to them then you can, but dont force them to anything."

Katou's eyes went slightly wide at the woman's threats, eyebrows furrowing as his expression changed to a confused one. What did she mean? Was she selling these girls out or something? Well, he didn't understand why. It wasn't like they were doing much for their looks. But, he smiled. "I would love to meet them!" The blonde laughed. He wasn't lying, either. These girls... They needed some work in his mind. Maybe their attitudes would be better? "I'm Katou Saruwatari. I'm... Not really sure where the other guys are right now, but they're probably sleeping! Haha!" The male laughed, scratching the back of his neck before stepping out of the doorway. "Would you like to come in? They're still some boxes around, but I'd love to talk to you as well!"

Well. Half true, anyway. This woman was kind of... Scary?

((She seemed like some pimp protecting her hos

And now I have the image of Yuka in a pimp outfit. Pimp slapping someone. XD ))

Alberto guessed that Sanako's fear of hipsters and "fashionables" came from her being teased, which made her feel bad for her, since she was sure that she went through some awful teasing. This only made her want to protect her house mates, though she knew that Yuka's desire to protect them was probably much, much, stronger. She opened the door again, peeked her head out, and saw Yuka talking to... Well, she couldn't see who she was talking to, but from Yuka's actions, she guessed that she was warning them about messing with her and her house mates.

You go Yuka! Pimp slap, no, pimp KICK them if you have to! She thought as she continued to watch from a distance.

"Fine. My complex has a no boys allowed rule with some exceptions." Yuka said and went inside. "So where are you guys from? And why would you fashionables want to move next to an apartment complex full of otaku girls? I dont like your kind because every hipster and fashionable tried to force me to wear fashionable stuff because "I am pretty and so". I would rather appear as cute or as an individual than as a hipster." Yuka said to Katou.

Katou merely kept smiling, setting the newspaper down as he walked into the kitchen area. "Well, starting with your first question... We're from different places, really! I'm from the country side up north, however." He stepped over, brewing another cup of the orange tea before setting it on the table for her. "We didn't really pay attention to who we moved next to... But, hey, they're neighbors! I'm sure they're nice." Hipster? Well, he didn't think of himself really as a hipster... More as just a guy keeping up with the trends! ... Oh well.

"How long have you all lived next door?" The man leaned against the counter, his own cup of tea in his hands as he looked towards the woman. Otakus? Like, anime people or something? He had watched some of that stuff when he was little, but not much. Was it coming back into style or something? Maybe he would look into it and have more in common with the neighbors?

"I have been the landlady of the complex for four years now. Ever since my parents have died and left me it. I have protected the complex ever since from greedy businessmen and yakuza. The yakuza are the most annoying. I have to beat them to a pulp but they come back after a month. I dont need money and I wont sell out. They should fear me because I was only holding back. I could easily rip them to bits with my cybernetic modifications." Yuka said.
