All men are not created equal. Some people were born with gifts that others don't possess. These gifts are referred to as Quirks. The first incident, the first occurrence of the Quirks was in Keikei City, China, where an extraordinary baby was born with a unique power. This baby came to be known as the Luminescent Baby. Then, as time passed, similar phenomena had happened all over the world, and soon the majority of the population had obtained superhuman powers.

No one knows what causes these Quirks, but before long the supernatural became the norm as nearly 80% of the world's population possesses some uncanny ability. Though it is rather simple to discern whether a person will have a Quirk or not, this is done so by a simple x-ray of a child's foot. Superhumans are more evolved than humans, and as such they are bone with one joint in their pinky toe, rather than two like a normal human due to their bodies being more streamlined than normal humans. That is the simplest way to determine whether a child will have a Quirk.

Quirks are traits that are most likely to be passed down by birth, usually gaining one Quirk from their parents, or a combination if possible. Due to this Quirk Marriages became popular among the Heroes. Quirk Marriages are often down between two Heroes with complimentary abilities, which tends to increase the chance of their offspring being extraordinarily powerful. However, down multiple generations the bloodline of powers will begin to whine, and it increases the possibility of the next generation of the bloodline to be born normal.

We became a Superhuman society. Our streets became scenes from comic books as cities were plagued with chaos, and confusion as a new profession began to dominate the world, Heroes. With the rise of superpowers came an explosive increase in criminal activity around the world. While governments tried to figure out how to reform laws with Quirks in mind, courageous people began performing heroic acts to keep our cities safe. Protecting us against villains who abuse their powers for evil. With overwhelming public support, Heroes found an official place as peacekeepers overseen by the government. Those who are the best, the most popular, the ones with all the t-shirts, and on all the posters are paid the most, and get all the fame and glory.

Due to a Hero's career depending on their ability to stay in the spotlight it is rather common for Heroes to become glory-hounds, and egotistical. They became the new celebrities. And everyone wants to be one. Due to this Hero career tracks were opened up for students with Quirks, with many prestigious schools that train budding Heroes being formed.

There are many top Hero Academies across the world. There is the Yuuei Academy in Japan, while in the U.S we have the Paragon Academy. It is the most shalt after Academy in the all of North America, as it's graduates become world renown Heroes. The Academy is located in the Nevada desert, with an entire town built around it called Excelsior Valley, named after the founder of Paragon Academy nearly fifty years ago by one of America's most beloved Heroes, Captain Excelsior, who does still work as the school's principal even in his old age.

Paragon Academy is only for the elite, and opens it's door to everyone despite their background, only that they must pass the grueling entrance exam, which was designed by the world's top Superheroes to push would-be heroes to their limits. Despite it's difficulty you have managed to pass the exam, and are now starting your first year at Paragon Academy, the first step in your career as a Superhero, along with many others in your class.

• Hello, hello, hello! I'm CutUp, and I'll be your GM for the evening. Ok so this RP is based upon the totally awesome series My Hero Academia. Seriously, it's new, and kicks ass. GO. WATCH. IT. Anyways, I've made this RP so you don't really need to know anything about the anime/manga. Got all the basics in the intro, it's pretty basic really. Though I still highly recommend checking it out. It's superhero cheesiness at it's best! Anyways, enough jerking the series off, we've got rules to go over!
• Before you go reserving yourself a role(which you do in the OOC, don't PM about a reservation) you'll need three passwords that are hidden here within the rules. Password #1: Who's your FC? Anime only please. If you need help I can try to give you some suggestions if need be.
• Let's get those boring basics out of the way, no bunnying, god modding, power playing, etc. I know that some of that might be hard for this sort of RP, but I trust you.
• Let's see, I'll give you an entire week to finish your character. That's pretty generous given that some RPs only give you like 3 days on here. If extensions are needed then let me know, but I would like a reason that you need one. Don't worry I'm a pretty agreeable guy, if you let me know what's up we can work something out. Password #2: What's your favorite anime and/or cartoon? Basically anything animated.
• Posts I would like to be at the very least two full paragraphs. That's not too bad right? Just no one liners.
