Hiwalani-Noa Mano Noelani Kapono Kealoha
{Nickname}
She often goes by just Hiwalani (E-Wuh-La-Nee) but most Haole can't pronounce it and sometimes her friends and family are just too lazy and end up calling her Noa. Nobody ever calls her Lani. She's also been called Shark Queen due to her fascination with and love for sharks.
{Birthday}
May 21st, 1993 [20 y.o.]
{Sexuality}
Demisexual
{Power}
Hiwalani has Merfolk Physiology. When her legs touch salt water they become a massive, heavy, long and colorful tail fin. She is capable of swimming at speeds surpassing 100mph and can withstand extreme underwater pressure. Her ability to withstand such pressure also allows her to be much stronger than she appears, able to lift three times her weight. She can breathe underwater as well but chlorine weakens her, so you'll never see her in or near a pool. She can communicate with water-dwelling creatures as well but she cannot command them. Her most notable ability aside from the tail thing is the legendary Mermaid's Song and Supernatural Beauty. She has a unique and innate charm that draws most people to her, of course, and she's quite obviously a conventional beauty. But she has the ability to charm and command people through singing or playing instruments. Unfortunately, said person has to be within hearing range. She can sway emotions and mental states with her music, causing others to become sleepy, angry, infatuated, etc. She is also capable of manipulating water,though she can't control its temperature. She has only recently mastered it though and has practiced healing herself with it. She can also manipulate the weather if she focuses hard enough but she often tries not to because she feels it to be somewhat wrong. Its response to her emotions (and the laid back way her parents raised her) plays a huge part in why she tends to keep her cool.

One look at Hiwalani-Noa has always lead most people into believing that she's little more than just a pretty face with nothing going on in her head. Having dropped out of school at the age of 15 doesn't help subside these assumptions. She actually is a lot smarter than she comes off as, though she's never been good with math. She's never really been one for labels either but she certainly has a few of her own. Adrenaline junkie is one of them. She's always been the one of her friends who was first to jump from a cliff into the water or hop on a motorcycle with no idea how to work it. She loves things that give her a rush and she's often seen running and jumping and flipping to get around. She hates sitting still for too long when she's in a good mood. She's always been very outgoing and cheerful, easily making friends in almost every circle. She's seen as Lahaina's "It Girl". When she's mad you don't have to worry about her coming after you though. She isn't exactly the type to really care. Unless you make a personal attack. But that tends to also bring her family's wrath as well. Suffice to say, most people don't bother her. One thing she hates most is being labeled as a slut like her brother Keokolo. She always wanted to be like him when she was younger because her brothers annoyed her and they were bums in her eyes. Since she generally did as he did when they were kids everyone expected her to follow suit when he began exploring his sexuality. When that happened, it pushed them apart. She's also a bit of a nature activist. Growing up in the area that she did with the people that were there she developed a healthy respect for nature and is quick to let her temper fly when someone litters or doesn't recycle. Especially in the ocean.

Life was never really hard for Hiwalani-Noa. She was never without affection and attention even though she was one of fourteen children, being part of a set of quadruplets herself. With eight brothers and five sisters among many cousins, she always had someone to play with. Her parents were undeniably the most “go with the flow” people in Lahaina. Especially for parents with so many children as well as businesses to run. It wasn't uncommon to see one of Ailani and Mano-Akeakamai's offspring roaming the beaches and streets and businesses of the city. While it was a large place, all of the natives knew a Kealoha when they saw one and they knew better than to mess with one of the young ones. Most of them were spending time with their grandpa Kona at the beach anyways. With more brothers than sisters and being very much a daddy's girl, she was no stranger to speaking her mind and often got in trouble with other people for it, though her father often found it amusing and would pat her on the back for being so brash. She was always the most adventurous of her siblings and would often get in trouble along with her brothers for going out into the jungle to explore without an adult accompanying them. Unlike their other family members, Hiwalani-Noa and her siblings weren't really exposed to the Haole as much as everyone else. Probably because they were too busy evading home for adventures. Hiwalani-Noa especially avoided them (and most others) when she turned seven and began sprouting a tail in the water. She had begun wrapping her legs in cellophane and wearing a wetsuit when she went swimming or surfing to avoid discovery. The measures she went through to keep dry legs while swimming were unbelievable. She was fifteen when she deemed school useless and dropped out. Though, it had a lot to do with one of her elder brothers -- Keokolo. The two of them were undeniably the most popular kids in all of Lahaina and everybody wanted to be around them. However, Keokolo had built up a reputation as a promiscuous young man and because the two were so close and so popular, it wasn't long before everyone assumed that she was just as easy as he was. Less and less of her peers spent time with her just for the sake of friendship and more for the hope of getting into her bed. She didn't blame Keokolo for this and didn't care how he lead his life as long as he was happy. However, when he asserted himself in the "big brother" role to keep these suitors at bay, it soon became a bit more than she could handle. He didn't trust anyone around his little sister and assumed they were all after the same thing, ridding her of nearly all males in her life that weren't related. But that wasn't his crime. His crime was bedding more than half of her female friends. She had enough when she had slumber party for her fifteenth birthday and a fight broke out between the other four girls over Keokolo, effectively ruining her night. Her parents let her leave Hawaii with her oldest sister, Lilo, and her indie band to accompany her on gigs and vacations during the summer so long as she spent the normal school year working at the studio and the restaurant. This further distanced her from Keokolo, though the rest of the family's bond with her didn't seem to slack at all. This summer, however, Lilo decided to stay home. Noa is certainly old enough to venture out on her own and had planned a trip to Greece. But her parents decided that she and Keokolo had been fighting for long enough and forced her to remain home and repair their bond as well as help with the threat of the most tourists Lahaina has seen in years, as it has been targeted as destination number one for a mass of college fraternities and sororities from the mainland.
{Happiest Memory}
She was eight years old and had been swimming really fast when she got lost. She was very deep and couldn't even see the light of the sun. She couldn't tell where the surface was. Then Pelo, an Orca, came to her rescue. Her parents were scared when they found her "tanning" further along down the beach but she had made a new friend.
{Saddest Memory}
On her fifteenth birthday, she had a slumber party and invited four of her closest female friends. When one had been caught kissing Keokolo by the other three, a fight had broken out and it was revealed that Keokolo had slept with all of them. This caused them to fight more before they eventually stopped speaking to one another. Noa has never forgiven him for this.
