Tribes
We are in the multiverse of the Tribes. There are Five Tribes.
The Elements Tribe: These are very powerful controllers of every of the seven elements: earth, wind, water, and fire being the most common, wood, metal, and light being the least common. The children are raised by their gender of parent, and when they hit puberty is often when their Element shows itself. You can master your element, usually by the time you are 15, yet you shall always be learning. They often wear wraps of silk. The women wear their hair down and often braid and interfuse it with scents such as jasmine and rosemary. Their names are often after plants, ex: Jasmine, Primrose, Blossom.
The Half Tribe: The Half Tribe is infamous for their lust for war and vengence. They are the Tribe of shapeshifters. [Only realistic animals, please.] They are known for their mass power, and their Tribe is by far the most populated. Men often have looks resembling that of their animal. They only shift into one animal their whole life, though only the highest ranked of the Tribe may choose their animal, simply by the blood in their veins, the others were born with their animal. [Ex: Unless you're one of the Royal Family, if your father was a skylark and your mother a butterfly, you aren't going to be a cougar.] Their women are rare, yet the ones who do live within the Tribe often have short hair and fierce temperaments, and are nearly worshipped by men. It is mainly women who are of the Royal Family.
The Elf Tribe: Hidden deep in the mountains of Reage sits the hugely populated town of Sagemoor. Sagemoor is the center of this Tribe, where elves from all over the Reage mountains have come to learn the ancient art of magic. Most elves of the highest and most powerful appeal live in Sagemoor, and Sagemoor currency is the money they posess. Their men are often as slight, although more muscled, than the women, though the men are often not as skilled in magic and are usually put to more physical tasks, such as being shepherds or teachers. Their women are normally more gifted in the magical area and are put to the task of singing the trees to life and learning the more powerful spells. Elves can also shape their appearance around how they wish to look. [Ex: A short elf man, if he wishes, can grow ink-blue fur all over his body and emit a musky scent if he wishes, or elf woman can make her hair longer or shorter and grow taller, make herself have blue eyes…] Elves do not get dirty over time, however this will not prevent you from getting filthy if you roll around in a mud puddle...
The Tribe of Spirits: The most mysterious Tribe. Little is known about these Out-of-Body-Walkers, or Skinwalkers. They are infamous for their trips into the World of the Spirits. As a child growing up in the Tribe of Spirits, you will learn how to escape from the confines of your body. You are taught that you are Angels, allowed to visit the Spirit World in your true Spirit form, and bring back messages, receive bits of wisdom, and such. They often ask for advice in battle. In spare time, they walk the trees, learning more about nature, which they consider to be more valuable then their own selves and are very quizzical about every other Tribe, who doesn't treat nature with the respect they believe is due, the one exception being The Elf Tribe. Their spirit selves can take form from anything ranging from a computer to a speck of flame to a photograph to a dragon. It's all up to their personality, which is formed around their spirit shape. They often have a special bond with the shapes of their spirits, from talking with cougars, to being able to control flame, if you are a candlelight. Stuff like that. Their men are often tasked with putting out the flames of the forest, asking their most-worshipped God, Kahilika, God of Life, for advice. The women often have bald heads, as do the men, though there are exceptions for Monks- rare and there are at most two in all of the Tribe. They are allowed to keep their hair, seeing it as a gift for being so spiritual. To become a Monk, you must first be a Monk's Appretience, and in the end of your appretience, which takes a minimum of twenty years to master, from age four, you must hike the tallest mountain in the province without any previous supplies- including clothes. If you live, that means Kahilika approves. In the topmost building on the highest mountain is clothes, food, and shelter, to nurse you back to health before returning. The all-round trip takes about a month, to exceed to Monkhood.
The Tribe of Virtues: More commonly referred to as the Tribe of Time or of Space, this Tribe is very special in it's own way. The women are the Masters of Time, the men Space. A childbirth is rare, for these are the only beings that live for eternity. “Mating” [wink wink] is even more rare, wheras, especially in the elf and shapeshifter Tribes, they have children every few minutes. Every child born is brought either to the Crone of Time or Space, the Maiden of Time or Space, and the Child of Time or Space. They are three women for Time, or three men for Space. They are the eldest of that Tribe side, mostly, with the Crone of either often being over a thousand years old. They shall always know their exact age, down to the second. The Maiden is often over five hundred, the Child in their lower hundreds. Age is very important to those of the Virtue Tribe- your age deems your wisdom. For example, even if you are two hundred years old, and the Child of Time or Space is one hundred twenty, you shall be ranked above the Child. The importance of the Child, Maiden, and Crone is to dedicate teachers. Teachers are of the highest art and most importance- they instruct the children. Basically- they mold your children into who they are supposed to be. The women of Time and Space often have very long, thin hair of light colors. There is no man or woman with dark hair. Men often have long beards [which are considered the best feature] and shaggy, short hair. They wear wool for clothes.
Plot
Okay...so, Maeve, why should this matter to us?
Well, because thirty years ago a woman was born on the outskirts of the elven land. She looked like no one Tribe member. For she had control over the Element Fire, could shapeshift into an alligator, could sing trees to life, could leave her body once a day and travel to the Realm of the Spirits, and was, in fact, immortal. It was unknown who her parents exactly were, or their history, although soon the woman, self-named Karyotes, yearned for revenge on this world that had done her wrong by giving her no Tribe to rely on or no friends to take care of her. She began to spread rumors, stage attacks with her vast powers of differing tribes. Soon she captured a dragon from No-Man's-Land, a huge, thick forest that seperates each and every Tribe. She named this dragon Shruifen, and Shruifen and Karyotes reeked havoc on the Tribes. Instead of looking at the logical solution, each one, in all it's wisdom, blamed one another for the monstrous thing that had somehow come to be. So they began a war, a war that began two hundred years ago and still is pertinent today. There are five people from the Tribes, each one set on uniting to defeat the awful witch, and soon they shall find their desires are more alike then they intended. They will find one another and set out on a long and difficult journey, gathering friends and helpers along the way, forming friendships, on their way to find and defeat the witch, or prove her guilt. Whichever brings the hammer harder down on her head.

Are firearms allowed? I'm not talking about machine guns, or anything...the thing in particular I'm talking about is a lever-action rifle.
