When most people describe Yuko, they describe the model student or daughter, an intelligent girl who never makes trouble and will go far in life. Ever since she was young Yuko has been a fairly level-headed girl who was never more pleased than when her friends or loved ones were proud of her, receiving their praise motivated her in almost every endeavor. With her numerous positive traits and friendly disposition Yuko has always been popular at school, despite this her group of close friends has always been small and comprised mostly by her little sister and only a handful of others. A naturally curious and hard-working girl Yuko finds herself interested in a very wide range of things and always puts forth her best effort when doing just about anything. Despite having given several performances and recitals up on stage Yuko finds being the center of attention in other scenarios rather uncomfortable and dislikes being around large crowds. In recent years however Yuko's life has become a bit less simple. The joy in playing violin and her parents praise has diminished, feeling trapped in her desire not to let others down but also her growing displeasure with life the girl has hit her first major roadblock in life. Uncertain of how to deal with the problem she has internalized and kept it a secret from even her sister and simply attempts to push on and endure.

Music || Whether listening to it or playing it Yuko loves music in most any form.
Gardening || Yuko adores flowers and though it's small she quite enjoys tending the little garden at her home.
Reading || Typically manga or short novels, Yuko is quite the little nerd when it comes the fantasy genre.
Habits:
Humming || Given her musical nature it comes as no surprise that she often finds herself humming when bored or occupied with idle work.
Fiddling with her hair || When in moments of stress or nervousness Yuko will often play with her hair, sometimes without realizing it.
Research || When faces with anything that piques her interest or curiosity Yuko will often research it extensively in an attempt to absorb every detail about whatever has caught her attention.

Academics || A strong work effort combined with a bit of natural intelligence has made Yuko into a fine student who does well in all her classes. Except PE.
Diplomacy || Yuko seems to have a knack for mediation due to her calming and thoughtful nature.
Calm || Level-headed and patient, it's hard to get Yuko to panic or get angry and she'll often recover quite quickly from being riled on the rare occasion it does happen.
Weaknesses:
Athletics || The one area of school where Yuko suffers is in physical education thanks to her low stamina and strength.
Standing up for herself || Yuko is easily pushed around and manipulated, rarely saying 'no' and being a bit naive to deception.
Independent || Ever since growing up Yuko has made efforts not to bother others and rarely seeks outside help or counseling.
Oblivious || Subtlety is something sometimes lost on Yuko, she is direct when she deals with others and expects the same in return.
Born to the happy couple of Mami and Kyo Oshiro in the small town of Yamasaki, Yuko's short life has been a pleasant one alongside her beloved younger sister, Haruka. Of the two sisters Yuko has always been the more reserved and well-behaved, even when she was young many facets of her personality were the same as they are now. From a young age Yuko was a curious child and it was apparent rather early on her aptitude for music and it didn't take long for her parents to have her learning the violin. In both her musical and academic ventures Yuko was quite successful, overjoyed at the praise from her parents and especially her sister. As a result Yuko is fairly well known around town for the occasional concerts and performances she puts on locally.
Carrying on this role of violin prodigy and ace student into middle school, Yuko's mind and heart feel heavy. Between the uncertainty regarding her current daily life and the trouble caused by her sister the young girl is beginning to feel the effects of her stress. Seeking answers and an outlet for her bottled up stresses has begun to broaden her horizons with new experiences and new people, perhaps unconsciously hoping she might find someone who can 'save' her.
