Since the last one kinda died...here it is again!

Introduction

We were taken while we were still young. We were either lost, or alone, or both. They erased all our memories from before they took us in, and began their experiments. A lot of us died, though there were still plenty of us that survived. Their experiments involved putting the genetics of animals into our bodies, and changing us. They never expected that we would be able to transform. They were unprepared, and we were still alone. Aside from the scientists thatcame in to check up on us, we have had no contact with any others. We don't know how many of us are alive, and so we must search.

We grew tired of this, and escaped. Once one of us got the idea, and started trying, the rest of us followed suit. They might have been able to handle one, but not all of us escaping at once. We managed to get out, and someone set a fire. The entire building went down in flames, and we don't know how many, if any, of the scientists escaped. We scattered, a few of us finding others and making companions. Several went straight to the humans, and committed several crimes there. They have created a bias against us as hybrids, and we must find a way out. On top of that, the scientists weren't finished with us. They had yet to finish their observations, and want to try to figure out what caused our ability to transform. And why we don't age. It's nothing ut an unsolved mystery to them, and for them to figure it out could only mean more problems for us.

On top of that, some of our own hybrids have made enemies of the normal humans, and the humans are retaliating. Now we are going to have a war on our hands, and those of us who didn't start it are suddenly involved. After having been out of their control for years, we are being dragged three ways. 1) We want to live peacefully, to live our own lives freely. 2) The scientists are trying to drag us back, to continue their work. 3) The normal humans are trying to kill us, and dragging us into the war.

So, choose where you want to be. Are you one of those causing problems for humans? Are you helping to stop the wars? Are you ignoring everyone else entirely? Are you one of the humans? Or one of the scientists, or working with them, trying to drag us back? Your choice. Just make sure you know what you're doing...

(And, because this site doesn't really have any way of telling you if your character has been accepted, I'll send a pm to let you know. So...yeah, have fun.)

Toggle Rules

1) No godmodding. Allow others to dodge, but no one can dodge everything. And control only your own character.

2) You can have no more than two characters at a time.

3) Your characters can die, and you can make more if one dies.

4) Put all but your very first character in the OOC. It keeps the character section from being crowded, and allows others to join in. (Though you are putting the character in the OOC, please still wait for my approval. You can pm me to remind me to look if you've put one in the OOC if you don't think I'm checking back often enough.)

5)You must have some physical traits of your animal. You must have the ears and tail of your animal, if your animal has any. If not, you must have another physical trait of that animal (scales, gills, etc.).

6) Please give me a specific animal. Not just wolf, but what type of wolf, what kind of leopard, etc.

7) You can transform into your animal, but there has to be some sort of limitation. You must have to feel a certain emotion, or be in a certain position, or have a certain state of mind, etc. And the transformations take about a minute to complete; it's not instantaneous.

8) The experiments gave us immortality. We do not age. (Please, don't ask. It just came to mind.)

9) ...I can't remember what else...if I do, it will end up here. If any questions are asked that I think the answers to should go here, I will put the answer here. So...have fun!

Shigatsu yelled from the doorway. "You guys talking or are you gonna come in?" The "jealousy gene", what made her jealous of women who killed more than her, was impossible to tame, an she knew it. Shi never wanted it this way though, she'd be glad once the cure for her madness was found.

I heard Shi yelling from the door. "Well...I guess we should be heading back, then...Shi's starting to sound a little impatient," I said, looking to where the yell had come from. She tilted her head slightly. "Though it is a little weird...how she has to kill more than those around her. I've heard of men that wanted to kill more than others, but they only made a game of it by counting their kills. The way Shi goes at it is a little...off, I think." It did seem a little odd. Maybe it was an animal thing?

Satechel looked back around at the women he had surrounded himself with. He didn't wish harm upon any of them, but he knew no matter how strong, fast or endurant he was, he'd never be able to take all of their bullets for them. They were being brave, and maybe a little over confident in Shi's case, but he'd not look a gift horse in the mouth. After all, morale played a big part in the war games they'd be soon playing. At least her spirit couldn't be dampened.

Thinking of Song, she probably couldn't fight directly as she said. The snow leopard hybrid had more things to her advantage than she thought. Snow leopards weren't about fighting their prey; more of ambushing it. Maybe he or Shi could teach Songrose how to get the jump on a few guys.

Coryi was the one he was worried about most. Not about her fighting potential, but he worried about her. He couldn't explain why....but really didn't want anything bad to happen to her. He thought her name over and over again....
Suddenly his eyes glazed over, and he sit there in somewhat of a hypnotized gaze. Something...something was playing over again in his mind. It was just like seeing it out of his eyes...

He was looking around room, adorned with weights and other workout equipment. Looking towards the center, he saw a rather muscular looking hybrid. Two actually. They adapted a fighting stance, as did Satchel. And suddenly, the fight began. A flurry of punches and blows flew towards the smaller hyena hybrid, as he adequately blocked and deflected most of the blows. Satchel couldn't control his body, only watch from his on view.... It was compared to playing Tekken from a first person view. He apparently grabbed one of the hybrid's legs, and twisted it, and throwing him after spinning on his heels. Satchel turned around just to block the other's fist with the point of his elbow, breaking his foe's knuckles. He then grabbed the man's shoulder and brought his knee to the man's face in a viscious jumping attack. The man fell to the ground, clutching his face. Satchel landed and turned sharply, to catch a uppercut with his jaw. He backflipped into a handspring, his feet landing on the other hybrid, causing him to groan.

But the fight was just about over, he didn't see the hybrid that had punched him had adorned brass knuckles. He looked up to get pummeled square in the forehead with a fully extended straight punch, which knocked him a good six feet back. He brought his hands up to his forehead, to hold his wound, bringing his hand back into his vision, to see new, red blood adorning his hand. He rolled over, and pushed himself to all fours, before colapsing again, with the help of a boot to the side. He was once again on his back. Satchel could see one of the hybrids walk over to him, grinning like the mad dog he was made after. Satchel's hand reached forward, as to suggest helping him up. The man indeed reached down, and grabbed his hand, pulling him forward just slightly, just enough to get his head and shoulders off the ground. But as soon as it seemed like good sportsmanship, the man's other hand came back down to slam the hyena man's head back into the ground with a sharp jab. He felt two pains; the one from the punch, and the one from hitting his head. He then saw the hybrid he had wounded come forth, his broken fingers twitching. He knelt down, and placed a knee on each side of Satchel, before begining to pummel his face. He felt the blunt pain of a fist on all sides of his head, before finally, he couldn't hold his eyes open any more.... It all faded to black.

But that wasn't the end of the flashback.... His eyes slowly reopened as he felt his body being shaken. His head rolled over to look to see what was shaking him.... It was...a woman. But not just any woman.... It was....Coryi? It had to be her. He couldn't mistake her face. She was asking him something, but he couldn't hear anything...it was all just high pitched whine. Her mouth was moving... he just wished he knew how to read lips...She lifted him off the ground, and slung him over her shoulder, begining to carry him like a wounded soldier.... But the memory almost scrambled out, like a bad television.

Satchel came back to, completely unaware of his surroundings. Apparently Song had gotten her natural poisons, and Shi and Coryi had been talking to her. Hopefully noone had noticed his trance. He went back to planning in his head, again trying to keep his mind off the memory that had just risen in his head with little effect.

"Yeah, we're coming, Shi," I called back. I started walking back to the cabin, where Shi's voice had come from. I glanced back every now and then to make sure Coryi was coming. "I got a little lost," I admitted as we approached. "I probably should have marked the path I took a little clearer...I didn't think about it much." And I probably should have. But that was my own fault. I would have had to yell eventually. I glanced around. Satchel looked like he was thinking...though he was probably planning, so I shrugged it off. "I'm going to have to prepare the poisons," I said, heading inside the cabin.

As Song headed inside to start preparing the poison, Coryi decided to sit outside for a little bit.
"I think I'm gonna stay out here a bit longer." She said quietly. She wasn't sure why, but she needed the open air. It was just something she did. She couldn't explain it, it just happened. She began to think about Shi's strange need to kill. It scared Coryi a little bit. What if Shi hurt herself- or someone else- because of it? Coryi shivered at the thought of Shi literally killing herself by taking on more then she could handle. Worry started to take over, and Coryi became a little bit scared. What if the operation failed? What if one mistake got her and all her friends killed? Coryi tried to push the thoughts away.

Coryi pulled her knees to her chest. Her eyes searched the sky. She picked out constellations she recognised, Orion, The Big Dipper, The Little Dipper... She blinked, and refoocused on her thoughts. She wondered if Satchel's eye was okay. How was he adjusting to being half blind? She tried to let go of her desperate hope that he would somehow remember her... but it wasn't possible. She began to study the stars again, in her mind connecting different stars to make her own constellations.

I paused as Coryi said she was going to sit outside for a while. "Okay...just keep an eye out for hunters," I said, then walked inside. It wasn't my business why she wanted to stay outside for a while. I sat on the floor of the kitchen, grinding th leaves I had gathered. I listened carefully, trying to hear what I wouldn't be able to see. I listened mainly to hear if the door would open, to hear where people were going, if someone was going to go out or come in, or anything. I just wanted to know what was going on. After all, even if I couldn't fight, I might be able to find some way to help out of something happened.

Shi fell to her knees, voices in her head screeched. It was her genetic information that was sending this horrid screech through her eardrums and through her being. It was her need to kill that was coming back ever so fiercely, knowing others were killing soon. THUD. The feeling of being unsure of her strength, her ability, it fell upon her. The reason behind her having such a gene was unknown to her, but not to the scientists. She was a failed experiment they didn't know was failed until it was too late. She'd been given a genetic code to make her "jealous" of others when they killed, it got to the point where she might kill or seriously injure someone that WASN'T a target, even herself. The jealousy, as she tried to control it, grew harder to get rid of. It screamed inside her head like a pinched banshee.

I heard a thud, and left my unfinished poison where it was and went to look. "Shi? What's wrong?" I asked. She looked like she was in pain... "Shi? Are you alright?" I asked again, crouching down to be at her eye level. "Shi?" This was even stranger than her wanting to kill more than the rest of us. Her just going down like that...it didn't make sense at all.

Coryi heard Song inside. Her voice was full of worry, and a little scared. Coryi jumped up, spinning on her heel towards the doorway. Pullingit open, she bounded inside. She saw Shi on her knees, Song was trying to reach her and ask what was the matter. Coryi jumped down, crouching beside them.
"Did she just fall?" Coryi asked. She placed a hand on Shi'sw back, lightly, to see if she would respond. "I don't know much about medical stuff, but I don't think she should stay on her knees like this. Do you think we could get her onto one of the beds?" Coryi looked up at Song, trying to think of a way to help Shi that would work enough to keep her from pain.

Satchel jolted to his sense, and looked around, and walked outside with Song. Shi was acting quite strangely. Her face was pained, and her eyes said it even moreso. He nodded with what Coryi said. "We definitely need to lay her down somewhere. And... after which, I need to speak with you two...." He slowly walked over to Shi, and knelt beside her, sliding his arms under her arms and legs, picking her up very gently. He knew that she'd probably react to this, but he couldn't just leave her to sit there. He prepared himself for the worst.

He carried her inside, and slowly lowered her onto what looked like a bed, sliding his arms out from under her carefully. He turned away, and stepped back out of the doorway, awaiting the girls.

Coryi reluctantly took a step out with Satchel. What would he want to talk about? Her tail started to swing from side to side. she stepped outside, a little ancy. She looked back to make sure Song was coming.
"I hope Shi'll be okay..." Coryi said distantly. She was a little scared that after having her bloodthirstiness, like she had said, for a while, she may've cracked under the pressure of knowing a battle was coming. She would push herself too far.
"You wanted to talk to us?" Coryi asked, looking Satchel in the eye.

I watched Shi for a minute before walking outside. Satchel wanted to talk with us? ...But what about Shi? I glanced back through the door, deciding to leav it open so I could keep an eye on her. I looked back at Satchel. "So...what is so important that you have to talk about? Why are we leaving Shi there alone for you to talk to us?" Why wasn't Shi allowed to hear what Satchel was talking about? I glanced back through the door, then looked back at Satchel.

"Must....KILL....ahhhhhhahhhhhhhhhh" Shi said. She snapped out of it a few minutes later, but something wasn't right. The screech had reduced itself to a mindless drone all by itself, which was very odd. "I'll be okay, guys" she yelled out to them. Foreshadowing for other weirdness, Shigatsu thought.

Satchel looked down with a frown on his face. Shigatsu's most recent exlaimation was probably a confirmation of his worst fears....

"I'm not entirely sure, you two, but it is highly probable that Shi was introduced to Lot 33 back at the lab." He said. He knew they probably didn't know, so he began to explain. "Lot 33, Bloodbitten Rage...it was an experemental gene they were testing. It supposedly made the exposed a viscious killing machine. And it seemed to work for a while...." He said, looking inside. "But there was a problem. It fucked up the experiment's heads. Bad. I've talked to one of them before. They said it felt like someone taking nails to back of their face.... It's a gruesome thought. But it happened to 100% of the ones exposed to Lot 33, which happened to be quite the large bunch....And after a while.... They all went insane." He paused for a moment, closing his eye. "There have been delayed cases of it...and I believe that is what is happening to Shi."

"The Scientists really couldn't do anything about it. They didn't want to put all their hard work to gun...so they just stored them away. Away from the rest of the experiments. They're Ferals.... Completely insane. They only kill...as thats what they were made to do; kill." He said, curling his fingers into a fist.

"I'm not sure if that's our situation right now.... But if it is...you both know what has to be done. She'll kill us all if we don't." He said looking back up to them with steely eyes.

I glanced back at Shi. She said she was going to be okay...but if Satchel was right...I had a problem. "...I don't want to think about it like that. I mean...Shi let us stay here; it wouldn't be fair to her if we had to do that." I turned back to Satchel. "I don't know that I even could. I can't even stand the thought..." I shook my head. "I don't like this at all..."

Coryi looked at the ground, there was a hard lump in her throat.
"But.. she's been fine until we started talking battle tactics." Coryi countered. "It's not like she's been aggressive at all, until we mentioned taking revenge. I don't know, Satchel, but sometimes that 100% gets decked down to a 99%. I mean, all of the survivalist experiments were ineffective until you came along, right? It can't not bother her, or cause... difficulties.... but don't you think it might be a little off that she hasn't tried to kill everyone else yet if she was meant to do nothing but? I mean, there's always that risk, but us ourselves aren't exactly 100% sane either. If it does come down to that, though, I don't think I could take it without going insane myself; I could never kill a friend, trying to kill me or not." She looked back up, extremely uncomfortable, but she didn't show it, standing calmly, with her hand together behind her back.

I nodded, agreeing. "She was fine until then. ...And you might be able to...to do what needs to be done if it comes down to it...but we can't. At least, I can't, even if I wanted to." I glanced at Croyi, inside the house at Shi, and then back at Satchel. "...I guess...we can at least put this conversation on hold until we actually need to. She looks like she'll be fine for now, but we'll keep an eye on her. That's really all we can do at the moment."

Shi noticed something on the ground, it was shiny and fascinated her. She picked it up, and the dull drone of the rage inside her dissipated slowly. She threaded the polished arrowhead-like spike from the ground onto a necklace. Strange runes glowed from the photoluminescence of the bacteria wedged in them. She put on the arrowhead spike and the feelings of bloodlust disappeared. "I feel much better."

"Mnhm." Satchel nodded firmly. "But.... Just be careful, okay?" He said, motioning for them to go in ahead of them. He was actually shaking a tad. Ferals were monsters, with strengths and abilities to match. He had seen one punch straight through a human being. An arm shouldn't be able to lurch through another person's body without some kind of weapon...just unnatural....

The group would step inside, and Satchel wouls try and resume their planning. They had a big bite to chew....

"Aren't we always?" Coryi asked, raising an eyebrow. She noticed him shaking. He was seriously scared. She felt a little uneasy, if Satchel was scared, then it had to be really serious. Especially with all his promises that "he'd protect them".
"This time is different." Coryi said reassuringly, "It has to be." She kept herself composed, level headed. It was strange, how she could be so emotional over little things, but she was able to stay calm in pressing situations. "If it goes wrong, we'll take care of it, okay?" She noticed how he gestured for them to go inside, expecting them to want to step back into the cabin.
"I'm not going back inside." Coryi quietly explained, "And I'm going to assume that you aren't either, no?"

"I thought we were always careful, like Coryi said?" I tilted my head slightly. "But I do agree on one other thing; you make it sound as if she's some sort of monster...and yet she allows us into her home..." I just couldn't believe that Shi would do anything to harm any of us, especially after how she had already treated us. I walked in when Satchel gesturing us to go in first. I heard Coryi speaking to Satchel, saying that she didn't intend to go inside, and didn't think he did, either. "If you two are staying out here, be careful; we don't know how many hunters are out there," I warned before walking inside. I sat on one of the beds. "Feeling better?" I asked Shi.

"Strangely, yes. The drone disappeared when I put on this rune like thing. It's shiny and it glows, too," Shi replied, "I feel much better!" She frowned when she saw that Coryi and Satchel weren't coming in, "I scared them, didn't I?"

I shook my head. "They're more worried than scared," I assured her. At least, I knew I was more worried for her than scared of her. "And if the rune-thing makes you feel better, I guess that's fine...but where did you find it? I haven't seen that before..." I examined it for a second. It didn't look at all familiar. Still, if it helped calm her down, I wouldn't argue. "I think they're more comfortable outside, anyway; Coryi's too used to her animal form, and Satchel wants to keep watch outside." At least, that was what made sense to me, and what I understood from the two.

Satchel took a deep breath, and shook his head. There was supposed need for this caution, but everyone just kind of shrugged off danger as if they weren't scared. Did they not value their life? Were they not smart enough to realize when something like this shouldn't be treated the way they were treating it? If by any means, if a large man was outside of your abode with a giant axe, screaming and yelling about KILLING SOMEONE, would you go out and ask him if he was okay? Of course not!

Idiots...

He turned his eye back to Coryi. He sensed something about her that was...unusual....It wasn't fear, for there wasn't enough sweat present, like there was pooling under his clothing. Perhaps she wanted to talk to him about something? Or maybe he was just being paranoid. Maybe it was his wounds that made him think like this....But he dispelled the thought. It seemed she could tell when he thought about her.

He walked over to a tree, and sat down beside it, his yellow vison pearl scanning the night. He heard the passive creatures; owls hooted, crickets chiriped, frogs croaked. It was a little soothing to know that nature's alarm system was still in their favor...

"Oh well, I feel much better because of this thing. I wonder what it is though, and if I'll become ill again if I take it off" Shi said. Her head lowered slightly, "Are you as tired as I am?"

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

I know...I think people stopped posting...because I was kinda waiting on a reply from someone else, really...I think it died...again...

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

Hey, guess what? I posted, like a while ago. Reply? :)

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

lol...that thought actually ran through my head...and theni though, no, that'd be mean...but i might...oh, and i do know how that feels; i lost two of my friends because they kinda turned into...ah, i'd get into trouble for that word <.< ...i don't talk to them anymore...and that is more than a little cliched...but i might still try that...it's something

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

Crystal: on the thing about not having a life, join the club. I haven't been anywhere in days, and now apparently I'm having an argument with my best friend, since she keeps finding new and creative ways to tick me off, and she's the only person I know who will keep in contact with me over the summer who I didn't meet over the computer. So yeah. I'm just a Ray of sunshine, aren't I?

BTW now'd be a good time for Song to come outside and then be like OMG what the fudge is going on? That'd be a good way to put her back in, if not cliched... Maybe. It's up to you I'm just making a suggestion.

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

lol...lurve you guys, too...i'll just have to find some way to get my character back in...

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

It's okay. We still lurve you.

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

ah, yes, i understand that...it's just that i seem to be the only one that isn't busy...and there's so little i can do with my character now...and i have pretty much no life :P

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

I don't think this will go as fast paced, though, since usually during the summer people are a lot busier, like Vio-Lance just said. I reallybdont think this'll die for a while, at least. I hope.

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

This roleplay shant evar die! *Gets defibrilators and adreniline shots*

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

ah! it's not deaad yet! good...i've been wanting to see how this turned out, too...i know it's been days...but it's up again! that's good...i really liked this one

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

Sorry, SheaTeal! I've been juggling who knows how many things on both the forum and in real life, along with hoping that others post. I'll get right on crafting a post.

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

I hope not. I really wanted to se how this RP turned out. I was waiting for Vio-Lance to post. It's been days...

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

...anyoen else going to post? ...it's been only me and smiley lately...

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

Swee-eet. I can definitely see that thing taking out an eye... But how do you carry it, I mean that sucker has to be at LEAST three feet long. Whoa-oh. I like it alot.

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

...interesting...i don't think i've seen a weapon quite like that...but then the most i've seen are military issued rifles and an unstrung bow...

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

Well, this is Satchel's newest weapon.

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

yeah...oh well...i still had plenty of other characters, and it looks the same here, too

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

she could've at LEAST waited to hear you out... But oh well

Re: [OOC] Outcast (Revival)

i tried to set that limit before, but it was ignored that time...i think that's why she thought it was godmodding...i had forgotten to put it in the rules...so i added it after she had joined...and then she said something about godmodding in hte ooc...she would have made an interesting character, too...
