"Sashi..." The Heather Pixie hissed as she carried a -somewho-even smaller girl on her back. The pain of the action made her sweat, but she didn't care, the girl she was carrying was much more important. "I'm awake, Sive." said the girl on her back, her voice weak, and muffled by her back. "Did you see what saved us?" Sive asked her, trying to keep her conscious. "
Image

"It was...was a dragon," She said, swallowing to speak. "Yea, Ma told us about them, remember, Sashi?" Sive said, looking back at her, even though she continued to walk.
"Yes, and I cried she said they didn't leave in our realm anymore..." Sashi said but her voice trailed off. Sive shifted in on her back and Sashi moaned in pain. "Sorry, but you've got to stay awake." She said, she didn't want to hurt her sister, anymore then she already was, but the pain kept her awake, and the bandages kept her from bleeding out but even still. She had to find that camp.

"I'm trying, Sive, but..."

"Sashi!"

"Huh?"

"Do you remember what the Dragon said."

"I can't speak Dragon, Sive, you know that." Sashi said, the girl was human, the only one left in the world it seemed, and Sive sometimes forgot, she was very pixie like in size and demeanor.
ImageImage
Sashi was sweet, where Sive was sour. Their mother, used to say that Sashi should have been the pixie and Sive the human. She said it with love though. Sive never resented her sister, and as far as she could tell Sashi never resented her either. Sashi was a changeling, taken by Sive's mother. She was always glad to have Sashi, although sometimes she wished atleast looked human, or had a human form. Pixies didn't have a second form like some other Fae. They could change size, but not form. Sashi was always the prettier sister, but Sive was the strongest, she could live with that. Sashi had a pretty heart shaped face, warm olive skin, long curly black hair, black as pitch, and amber eyes, while Sive, had a broad face, messy thick red hair, a low brow and large yellow green eyes.

"I told you what he said." Sive told her and Sashi shrugged. "We're going to see him." She told her as she marched on. "Who?"

"The love of your life."

"Don't tease me, Sive, that's not funny."

"I'm not laughing."

"What are you saying, Sive?"

"We're going to see Prince Simon."

Sashi stiffened and Sive couldn't help but grin. Sashi was very pixie like, and the moment she heard of the Warrior Prince, who liberated the Fae, and was fighting against the demons, she fell hard, like she had with King Arthur, Tam-lin or Robin Hood.

Honestly, neither of them thought he was real, especially after they were taken by the demons but when the dragon swooped down and told them where to go, and who ask for, Sive herself almost fainted. When she found Sashi, to tell her, her sister was in a horrible state.

"He's not real."

"I can't lie to you, Sashi." She said, and she looked ahead noticing a group of soldiers , definitely Fae.

"Sashi, We made it, We're here." She said but Sashi didn't say anything. "Sash... Sashi?" Sive shifted her on her back again, waking her. "Mm..."

"Sash, just stay awake a little longer." She said and Sive marched harder, faster, she found what looked like an attack party and approached them. There was a man, tall, long black hair, and warm skin who looked to be heading the group. He was Dryad, she could smell it, which meant, it was likely he could heal her sister. She stood in front of them, intently, causing the group to stop "You look important, I'm looking for Prince Simon's camp, My sister, she's hurt, and she's..." Sive swallowed, casting a glance at Sashi, who'd gone limp on her back. The demons thought she was a delicacy and took turns with her, for one very simple fact. " She's human....?" She felt eyes on her sister, then. She shifted. "Sashi?" She called and Sashi gave a meek "hm?" before checking out again.

"She won't stay awake, the demons' they were...playing with her, I don't know what they were doing, but...You gotta help her." She said, and looked at the man, in a bit of a panic. "You're a dryad, right? There's a big dragon, back there, he freed us, I can tell you exactly where he is, if you heal her?" She offered, shifting so that Sashi could remain at least a bit conscious. "Please...?"

"I will spare you the hug for now," Andrew replied, causing a broad smile to spread across Simon's lips. "Let me just grab my sword," he added. Simon nodded, shifting his gaze towards the other soldiers of the camp as Andrew returned to his tent. A decent amount of them were preparing to leave the camp with him, as instructed, while the rest began positioning themselves in various places around the edges of the clearing, just in case they were attacked in the absence of their main fighting forces. He seemed to be watching for a good while, before Andrew finally reappeared at his side. He placed a hand on his cousin's shoulder, but only for a moment before he shouted out for all the soldiers to gather around him once more.

When they arrived, he took a moment to look them all over, checking that they were all adequately armed and had weapons to fight if necessary. Gesturing to the four soldiers on the left of himself, Simon spoke. "You will be accompanying myself and Andrew to the army encampment," he informed them, before turning to the rest of the force (which included both Aphylla and his son). "The rest of you will be following Aedion to the village directly beside it." After giving them a moment to process the information, he gestured for the men to begin moving, as he did so too. He took the lead, of course, but slowed his pace a little as he lifted a hand, and with the flick of his risk, summoned the armour of the Old Fae King, his grandfather, which appeared as if from nowhere and fitted itself around him as if he had been born to wear it. Once it was on him, he picked up his pace to a jog, wishing to reach the encampment quickly.

It would be a decently long walk, he realised, but if they could keep their pace up a bit, they might reach it before the Remei heard and tried to reclaim it themselves. It would be fortunate if they could avoid a fight; he didn't want to lose what little fighting force he had managed to rescue in the first place. And, unluckily for them, most of their walk would be through dark, dense woodland, which were known for being particularly unsafe, what with all the creatures of the many realms being dragged into one location during the merge. By night, this place would be too deadly for them to handle. He thought briefly about how the fae women managed to survive travelling from the camp at night, and realised why it might've taken them so long.

After a long while, Simon spotted a figure ahead which, as he came closer, appeared to be a fae woman with another female resting on her back. The two had perhaps lagged behind the main group of fae when they escaped from the camp; the red-haired woman looked exhausted. It only took a moment for them to reach his group of soldiers. "You look important, I'm looking for Prince Simon's camp. My sister, she's hurt, and she's..." she spoke, and after a moment of hesitation, added, "She's human..." There was surprise throughout the group, and Simon stood stunned for what felt like the longest time, as the girl attempted to communicate with her near enough unconscious companion. "She won't stay awake, the demons they were... playing with her, I don't know what they were doing, but... you gotta help her," the girl continued. "You're a dryad, right? There's a big dragon, back there, he freed us, I can tell you exactly where he is, if you heal her? Please..?"

Simon stepped forward, maintaining eye contact with the girl for a moment, before reaching for her sister. "We will help your sister, but I need you to set her down first," he said as he attempted to hoist the human girl off her sister's back. After lying her down on the ground, he looked back at the group, and felt an almost overwhelming sense of relief that he had brought someone with healing abilities. He didn't know where he'd be if he hadn't, since he hadn't been trained in healing since he was a child. He could remember little of his mother's teachings. "Aphylla," he called, "please tell me you know enough to be able to help her."

Sive watched the man impatiently as he decided what to do. "We will help your sister, but I need you to set her down first," He told her and she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. He reached around and gently took Sashi from her back. She sighed, her own wounds aching her now. Sashi stitched it well, but Sive overworked it, and she was sure she was bleeding now too. Her focus was on Sashi, Sive would live, she wasn't so sure about her sister.
ImageHe set Sashi gently in the grass, her expression was soft, too soft. She looked almost peaceful, laying there, her bandaged around her waist, and a few on her arms, were stained scarlet. "Sashi, Wake up!" She barked at her sister, sharply, and Sashi's eyes fluttered open for a moment, but they fell on the man that knelled over her for a brief moment. "Aphylla," he called, "please tell me you know enough to be able to help her."
Sive swallowed watching her sister, until finally what the man said struck her.
"Are you serious?" She asked him. "What dryad can't heal?" She said and the pixie shook her head. "You mean to tell me, you can't heal here, you're bloody dryad, and you can't heal her, that's like....elementary...You're useless, Where can I find the prince?" She said, folding her arms.

"Sive..." Sashi spoke, her voice just over a whisper. Sive clamored to her side, and leaned down. "Yes, Sash?"

"Be nice...please..." She said and that was it before Sashi slipped back unconscious. Sive tuned to the man, fear in her eyes before leaning down, feeling Sashi's breath on her face, she moved to her chest, her heart beat was slow, but still there.

"She won't stay awake, The stabs aren't that bad, but..."Sive gestured to the unconscious girl, "This keeps happening....You gotta do something, You've powerful magic, I'm only a pixie, but I was told Dryads, they are powerful, could do all sorts of stuff, can't you?"

"Are you serious?" the red-haired girl suddenly snapped, causing Simon to shift his attention away from the near unconscious girl. "What dryad can't heal? You mean to tell me, you can't heal here, you're bloody dryad, and you can't heal her, that's like... elementary... You're useless, where can I find the prince?" she ranted on, and Simon's forehead creased with a deep frown, his eyes finding hers for just a moment before she focused again on her sister. He watched the brief interaction between the two, taking note of their seemingly close relationship, and as she older girl looked back up at him, with fear in her eyes where there had once been anger, he felt an overwhelming sense of sympathy. He had lost his sister twice already; he would not bestow or even wish the same feeling upon anyone. And so, even though he had called for Aphylla, he suddenly felt as if the responsibility of healing the younger girl was his own to bear.

"She won't stay awake, The stabs aren't that bad, but... This keeps happening....You gotta do something. You've powerful magic, I'm only a pixie, but I was told Dryads, they are powerful, could do all sorts of stuff, can't you?" the girl continued, and Simon hesitated for only a moment, before nodding. "Forgive me, I haven't trained in the healing arts since I was but a child, I... I will try my hardest," he replied, before dropping to his knees by her side. He leaned forward, shifting both of his arms forward, fingers splayed out as he lowered one hand onto her forehead and another onto her abdomen. It was in this moment that he strained to remember what his mother had taught him all those years ago, when he was little more than an eager child.

After a moment or so, he felt the magic spreading through his palms, subsequently spreading over the young girl's body. It was not easy, nor was it quick, but he managed to reach over her entire body, seeking out the wounds and applying more energy in those specific areas. Such things would not have been visible to those around him, but for the strain on his body and in his facial expression. He seemed to be holding his breath, his brow crinkling as his brows lowered into a deep frown, and his entire body was tense. Despite his high level of power, his inexperience meant that even the most basic of fae healing techniques were difficult for him. He had to use a tremendous amount of focus and energy, which distracted him mainly from maintaining his human glamour and initially caused a dark green glow to form around his body, his eyes also shifting into a shockingly bright shade of green.

Simon remained like this for quite some time, before a sharp exhale escaped him, and he dropped his head forward, his arms falling limp by his side. Remaining out of breath for only a short time, Simon promptly picked himself up off the ground, looking down to examine the girl for only a moment. He was satisfied that her wounds were healed, but if she had fallen unconscious during the process, there was little he could do for it. His gaze quickly moved to the red-haired fae girl, and he was about to speak, before one of his soldiers appeared in his line of sight, clutching a pouch of water which he extended outwards. "My Prince, you should drink," the soldier said, sounding concerned, but Simon shook his head. "Give some to the girls, they need it more than I do." As he looked down at the older girl, he smiled softly, pressing an arm across his abdomen and bowing forward for only a moment. "Simon Davenport," he introduced himself, before turning towards the forests. "Now if you could just point me in the direction of that dragon, it would be most appreciated."

It took a moment before the man did anything but look at her but finally he nodded. "Forgive me, I haven't trained in the healing arts since I was but a child, I... I will try my hardest," He said and she felt a small tug at her lips as they both turned their attention to Sashi.

Sive watched in amazement as the man's body began to glow, his hands hovering over Sashi's body, and moving about the wounds. She could see the tension fade from Sashi's body as the man went on. It was truly amazing. They'd grown up with stories of the powerful dryads, and the magic they weaved. Their family wasn't Seelie or UnSeelie, they were solitary, but they'd always had a respect for the Seelie family, and it was no surprise. The Queen of the Seelie was a Dryad an she was the most powerful of them all.

Finally, he finished and he stood, Sive's attention was on Sashi, who slowly began to stir. "My Prince, You should drink?" said another person "Give some to the girls, they need it more than I do." He told the solider and the solider leaned down, helping Sashi who'd awoken but said nothing, sit up and take a sip of water. Sive, who was already at her side, snatched the pouch and helped her sister herself. It took Sive a moment before she realized what was said.. Her large eyes went even wider then normal.
Image
The Prince then bowed at the waist, "Simon Davenport," he said, almost cocky, which Sive couldn't really blame him for. "Now if you could just point me in the direction of that dragon, it would be most appreciated."

There was a small gasp that broke from Sashi, as the sisters gaped up at the prince, who looked even taller then before. They were short, but anyone's standards, but he seemed larger than life at the moment.

Sive wanted to kick herself. She called the Prince of the Seelie Fae, Leader of the Fae Rebellion...useless.
Image
Sive got to her feet and bowed. "Forgive me, You're Grace...I--I..."
Sashi who's eyes never left the prince, got to her feet as well, bowing the same. "Forgive my sister, You're Grace, she is but a pixie, she can't hold her emotions, as I am sure you know, Thank you, We--I owe you an immeasurable debt." She said, and Sive could hear the wonderment in Sashi's voice. He'd done it. Sashi wished so hard that the Prince would come and rescue them like in the stories of old, and he did and even Sive couldn't deny that the Prince was just as handsome as the one in the stories.
"I owe you my life, so my life is yours, ." She told him and Sive chimed in, freeing her small knives, crossing her hand over her chest, and bowing at the knee. "A-and so is my blade, I am small, but quick, and good with knives, I'll lead you to the Dragon, as promised." She said quickly, casting a glance in Sashi's direction, making sure that she actually alright, which she seemed to be. Better in fact. "I'm Sive, This is Sashi, we are--were solitary, but we pledge fealty to you and the Seelie." she said and Sashi nodded in agreement, neither of them would look up until given permission.

Simon couldn't help but smirk lightly as the two girl's stared up at him, seemingly stunned at the revalation of his identity. It was a strange sensation, being recognised for his title... He had seen the fae realm on multiple occasions and, of course, received special treatment. Being crowned prince had its perks, but for the most part, Simon stayed in the human realm and had little to do with his fae side until much, much later. His mother wished to shield him from such things as war and pain, which he came to appreciate over time, and had even grown fond of Parkwood.

His eyes drifted to the red-haired girl as she stood, and later bowed. Again, neither a usual or unusual sight for him, at least more so over the past year. "Forgive me, your Grace... I--I..." she began, but seemed to be unable to finish her sentence. Had the other girl not started to stand, he might've attempted to reassure the pixie, but watched on curiously as she also bowed, later carrying on where her sister had left off. "Forgive my sister, your Grace, she is but a pixie, she can't hold her emotions, as I am sure you know. Thank you, we-- I know you an immeasurable debt," she rambled on, and Simon cocked his head to one side, almost confused. "I owe you my life, so my life is yours," she added. Simon understood that he healed her wounds and perhaps even saved her life, but at the same time thought that it was a small gesture of good will on his part and required no pledges of fealty or whatnot. Apparently the girls did not share his opinion, which was both amusing and a little sweet.

In his train of thought, he almost missed the pixie girl releasing her knives, paying attention mainly as she knelt before him. This is getting weird now... he thought, the startled/confused look on his face being the main indicator that such expressions were not familiar to him. Bowing, perhaps, but never kneeling. "A-and so is my blade, I am small, but quick, and good with knives, I'll lead you to the Dragon, as promised," the pixie began, and Simon nodded, a tight smile fixing itself on his lips.

"I'm Sive, this is Sashi. We are--were solitary, but we pledge fealty to you and the Seelie."

Simon shook his head, suddenly allowing a light-hearted chuckle to escape him. "Please, stand," he said through his laugh, urging the girls to finally look up at him, "such formalities are not necessary... with me, at least." He shifted his gaze from Sive to Sashi, and smiled softly, before turning back to Sive.

Stepping a little closer, he extended his arm, the armour slipping away from him to reveal a gloved hand, which he gave for Sive to shake. "Sive, it would be a pleasure to have you and your sister join us," he began, "and I am sure your knives will come in handy." After finishing with Sive, he then turned his attention to Sashi, and repeated his previous actions of extending a hand. "Sashi... I am sorry for the things you have been made to endure, and that I could not save you sooner... But it is my promise to you that your safety will be our utmost priority."

Stepping back a bit, he turned towards the forests, allowing the golden armour to form once again on his arm. "Forgive me for cutting this short, but I really need to find that dragon," he said, sounding unusually calm despite the circumstances. He turned his attention to Sive. "I can have a few of my soldiers walk your sister back to camp, if you'd like, or she can accompany us and remain in the village after it is secured; it's your choice," he continued. "But, either way, we really need to get going."

Sashi nor her sister, knew not what to do when he chuckled but Sive was still kneeling and Sashi, still had her head bowed. "Please, stand," he said to Sive and she stood, Sashi rose her gaze as well. "such formalities are not necessary... with me, at least." He said, before his eyes shifted in her direction for a moment, there was soft smile that touched his lips and it made her heart skip a moment. He was a handsome as the princes were in the stories of old. He turned to her sister and stepped up to her, extending a hand, that's armor faded, revealing a glove.

Sive cocked her head, and took his hand firmly. "Sive, it would be a pleasure to have you and your sister join us," He said "and I am sure your knives will come in handy." He told her and Sive gave a proud smirk. She'd been dying to join the rebellion, and having had her place accepted by the Prince of all people, was almost too much. He then turned to Sashi then, offering the same hand. Sashi could barely think, for a moment, staring at his extended hand. It was almost just like the stories, the galant prince, offering his hand to the maiden he'd rescused from a terrible fate. Her face blushed red as she gingerly slipped her hand into his, and shaking softly. "Sashi... I am sorry for the things you have been made to endure, and that I could not save you sooner... But it is my promise to you that your safety will be our utmost priority." He told her and she could only look at him.

He took a step back and Sashi felt colder for it. Her hand rose to her chest and rested there as if any sudden movement would blow the sensation away.

His armor appeared once again, as he turned to the forests. "Forgive me for cutting this short, but I really need to find that dragon," He said and Sive nodded. "I can have a few of my soldiers walk your sister back to camp, if you'd like, or she can accompany us and remain in the village after it is secured; it's your choice," He said and Sive looked at her, Sashi shot her a look, and they had what could only be described as a wordless conversation,

"I want to stay"Sashi's brow rose.

"You need to go to the camp, and rest." Sive's eyes narrowed.

"But the Prince?"Sashi's eyes widened.

"You'll be in the way." Sive rolled her eyes.

"No I won't, I promise." Sashi's brow furrowed pleadingly

"But, either way, we really need to get going." The Prince continued and Sive relented. "Fine... She'll come with us." She said, as if everyone else heard with conversation the sister's had.

"He's this way, just up ahead." She said and started walking ahead of the group. Sashi, who lingered a bit near the prince, noticed Sive's back, and the two very distance lines of blood on either side of her shoulder blades. "Sive...." She told her and Sive shot her a look. "I'm fine," She shot back and kept walking. Sashi looked over at the prince, opened her mouth to speak, but changed her mind, she wouldn't ask him to heal her stubborn sister, he'd already healed her and surely he would need his strength, Sive said she was fine and she was Fae, her words were true.

"It won't be long now, about a few hours walk, and you'll smell the smoke." Sive told them, as she marched on, proudly, Sashi could see it. She was happy to be apart of this now. Sashi, as she kept stealing glances at the handsome prince, could help but feel the same.

"He's this way, just up ahead," Sive informed Simon, before trotting on ahead to show them the way. He couldn't help but smile at her for it, but quickly diverted his attention to the human girl, Sashi, was standing much closer to him. He didn't mind much; she probably didn't feel as safe around the soldiers, and Simon had already vowed to protect her so it only made sense for her to hover around him a little more. While he looked down at her, however, she seemed a little more concerned with her sister's wellbeing, and as Simon's eyes found the red-haired girl, he took note of a small amount of blood on her back. He sucked his teeth quietly, and thought for a moment about insisting that she should receive medical attention, but figured he would wait until after the village was secured. The girl seemed intent on marching forward, anyhow. "It won't be long now, about a few hours walk, and you'll smell the smoke," Sive continued, and Simon nodded with a smile, despite having mixed feelings about having to walk for another few hours.

As the group walked on, Simon could occasionally feel eyes on him, and every now and then, his gentle gaze would make contact with Sashi. Almost without noticing, he slowed his pace down ever so slightly - only for a moment - in order to walk directly by her side, though the three still remained at the forefront of the group.

Just as Sive had promised, the faint smell of smoke became apparent to Simon, causing his nose to crinkle slightly. He stopped suddenly, holding up a hand, before turning to the rest of the soldiers. "Aedion, take your assigned soldiers and scout for the village, it should be close by," he ordered, before gesturing to his own four soldiers and Andrew, and continuing on. While he would understand if Sive still attempted to show him the way, Simon didn't need a whole lot of direction by that point; the smoke and heat were leading him towards the camp well enough on their own.

A short while later, they found the remains of what should have been the army encampment, but instead found only ruin. And in the centre of it all lay a large, black dragon. Out of surprise, Simon hesitated only for a moment, before he started forward, taking note of the spears that had been caught between his scales. He had no fear in approaching the dragon, despite his species he was still a weaker being, and would be far too injured to attack even if the intent was there. While his men surrounding the dragon and mimicked their prince, Simon assisted in the effort by wrapping both hands around one of the spears, grunting with the effort it took to remove it. Once the last spear was removed, all of the soldiers stood back, allowing the dragon some room.

"Are you well enough to shift, boy?" Simon asked, having moved around to face the dragon directly, hoping by this point that Andrew will have taken a place by his side. "Or at least talk? I'd like to know your name."

The large beast rose it's massive head as a group of men approached. It immediately recognized the fae at the head of the group and set his head down, in a bit of a huff. He didn't know him, it seemed, the beast thought it funny. Oddly, he noticed two little creatures, one was fae, without a doubt, but the other little one, she was human. She could barely take her eyes off of him, and when she did they went back to the young Prince.
Image
The beast looked at her for a moment before turning his gaze, he then noticed the Dragon Prince, The creature didn't move as his soldiers surrounded him. The Fae at the head, seized the spears between his scales and pulled. The beast growled startling the poor girl, he didn't mean to but that hurt. Soon enough the men all freed the spears, and the beast fought hard not to growl a second time.
They all then gave the beast wide berth, except the Fae Prince.

"Are you well enough to shift, boy?" The Fae Prince asked and it was then that the beast took notice of another dragon at his side "Or at least talk? I'd like to know your name." He asked and the beast rose, he towered over the group, he shook his giant head, before finally in a plume of swirling smoke, it disappeared and it's place, stood a young man, sharp eyes, olive skin and long dark hair, still dressed in his armor and at his side his weapons. He looked up at the Fae Prince.

"It is I, Mycah Youngfire, of the Youngfire Clan, First of my name and Ward of the Great Dryad Dragon Thomas of the Vincent Clan, " He said, with much less enthusiasm then he had once a lifetime ago. "You're Uncle." He told Simon. He looked to the Dragon Prince, and freed his Kukri, and presented it to him. "Forgive my failure, Prince Andrew, I should have been there with your father that day, I will avenge him, this I vow upon my blade." He said, and with his head lowered, he rose his blade in both hands. "I pledge you my blade, my life, until your enemies fall, Dragon King." He told him, and he felt something, and turned sharply.

"Forgive the breech in protocol, You're Grace, but we've company." He said and rose from his kneeling position and turned toward the village. He gripped the hilt of his blade, and it was at the moment the small red haired girl did the same. "Demons." She said and the Mycah looked at her with a curious gaze. "Aye, Can you fight, Little one."

"Watch me!" She said and the speed with which the pixie ran was hard to follow. He didn't know where the blades came from but she flung them with expert precision, each hitting their respective targets.

"Sashi, Hide!" She called back, and Mycah turned to the human girl, who looked from him, and then to Simon as if she were waiting for him to speak. Mycah himself, prepared to shift but would what for orders, unlike the Pixie, who wasted no time.

Simon, much unlike his soldiers, wassn't entirely phased by the dragon's sudden movements, even as he lifted his head and towered over them, casting a shadow down on the prince, but only for a moment before a plume of black smoke revealed a familiar young man. He had met this boy before, during the war... So much had happened in the past year that Simon could barely remember his name, let alone his story.

"It is I, Mycah Youngfire, of the Youngfire Clan, First of my name and Ward of the Great Dryad Dragon Thomas of the Vincent Clan," the boy began, and Simon stood in a state of total bewilderment. "Your uncle," Mycah added, to which the Prince replied with silence and stares. Of course... That's where he knew the boy; he had come to the human realm with Tommy just before the war truly broke out. He remembered that the young dragon had been close with his niece, Eida, before she disappeared. It was any wonder that he managed to survive the merging of the realms.

As Mycah began pledging his loyalties to Andrew, Simon stepped back a bit, allowing them some room. Andrew was technically his equal in stature, and while Simon remained the rebellion's temporary leader and later its second-in-command, the two held a decent level of respect for each other. It was not in Simon's nature to wish that every new member of the rebellion should pledge their loyalty specifically to him.

His train of thought was interrupted as Mycah spoke to him once more. "Forgive the breech in protocol, your Grace, but we've got company." Simon gave a gentle huff, and as the two newer additions to the rebellion began exchanging words, he instead turned his attention to Sashi, who was beyond helpless in such a situation. His soldiers, of which there were very few, were all more focused on battling the oncoming demons, and had left her on her own. So, as she looked up at him, he felt more of an obligation to protect her than to fight.

Simon moved forward swiftly, lifting his arms with his hands held out, fingers splayed. With a hiss of effort, Simon drew the darkness of the forests around them, and by rotating his wrists, he wrapped it around the human girl, forming a protective cocoon wide enough that she wouldn't have to touch the shadows, but she couldn't exactly go for a wander. The shadows were thick enough that they could protect her from harm, but not so thick that she was completely blind within them. He stepped closer to the bubble, placing his hand over it so that he could talk directly to her. "Do not panic, you're safe in here," he informed her, before promptly turning, his attention now on the demons.

Simon's eyes found Mycah, who appeared to be awaiting orders. None of his other soldiers had done the same; he didn't think he had to tell them when they should fight, especially when a demonic horde was threatening their lives. "Mycah," he called, "do something!" It was in this moment that one of his soldiers slumped to the floor, dead, and Simon's jaw clenched, his feet carrying him forward before he even had a chance to think about what he would die.

Placing himself in the dead centre of the action, Simon drew his sword, and dealt with each opponent as they came. He reflected on how well his training had paid off as she slashed, stabbed and otherwise bludgeoned any demon that came before him. He fought mostly with his word, but when that wasn't working quick enough, he dropped it and instead focused on the manipulation of shadows; they were fastered, and more effective in slicing through his opponents. Although such talents required more arm and leg movements, and subsequently more effort, on his part. It was perhaps most comparable to a form of martial arts, but he seldom came into contact with his enemies directly. He required his entire body to twist and shape the darkness to his will, and while his movements were rather smooth, the shadows were viscious and unrelenting.

He became so wrapped up in fighting that he hadn't thought to look up and check if Sashi was still protected by her cocoon of shadows, and with that thought came the sudden urge to do so. In that brief moment that he looked up, his eyes meeting the shadowy bubble, he diverted his focus enough for an approaching demon to gain an advantage on him. He suddenly felt a cold arm slipped around his throat, pulling him backwards, but before the foul creature could apply a choke, Slade shifted his weight, turning and slamming an elbow into its face, sending it sideways only for a moment; it was quick to recover. Simon had dropped his blade long ago, and had used up a lot of his energy manipulating the shadows as he had, but still he fought on, this time with his fists. As the demon came at him again, Simon ducked down, pressing a shoulder into its stomach whilst his hands gripped the back of the knees, using his weight to flip the demon onto its back, by which point he slipped a smaller knife from his hip and plunged it into the creature's throat.

Simon sat like that for a moment, a little out of breath, as his eyes shifted around. Three of his four soldiers still stood, as well as Mycah and Sive, whom had both fought incredibly well. As far as he could tell, that was the last of the demons, and after exhaling deeply, Simon stood. He moved instantly towards Sashi, his arm extending outwards which caused the shadows to disappear. He allowed himself a moment to look her over, as if checking that he had not attempted to touch the shadows, and once he was satisfied that she was okay, he turned his attention back to the others. "Catch your breath now," he said, "because we're leaving to check the village shortly."

[center][font=Cambria]Aphylla, much to her word, kept a far distance from the group, she could still her them and had fireflies follow them and lead her as if they were breadcrumbs. Whilst the forest was dangerous at night, Aphylla knew it pretty well and was fairly certain none of the creatures in it would harm her. She simply followed along, picking many herbs, fungi and even a couple of flowers, all of which would prove beneficial for Sarani. She released a sigh as it began to feel like she'd been walking forever but then the fireflies all sped away, dimming their lights as if to hide from something. Aphylla quickly closed the space between her back and a nearby tree, removing her glamour she blended in with the bark of the tree, it was then she heard Simon calling for her to help but as she tried her best to hide, a group of Demons walked past her, armed to the teeth and stinking of sulphur. Aphylla could feel herself trembling, causing her to clench closer against the tree.

They seemed to be trailing Simon and the others, scouting what they were doing, as they crept on, Aphylla climbed the tree, up into the canopy above it and started to follow the demons, the branches acting as walkways for her. She managed to keep a low profile in the trees above the demons until they came to the edge of the village and turned to walk away, she knew they were going back to inform somebody of the fae so she grabbed a pouch of salt from her bag and sprinkled it in a circular motion, entrapping the demons in a circle of salt so small they wouldn't even be able to see why they wouldn't move. Aphylla then dropped down from the canopy of leaves and teased the demons by blowing a kiss at them, before manipulating the roots of the surrounding trees to form a cage around the demons. With the demons encased in 2 layers of imprisonment she ran off in the direction of the village, she'd have to warn Aedion and the others.

Running into the village, she called for him and the rest of the men, "Guys!" She whisper shouted. "We've been followed, there's demons just on the outskirts of the village." She spotted a steel sword lying on the ground next to her and she promptly picked it up, whilst she was no fighter, she could at least look as of she was ready to fight back.

ImageThe slight delay with the pixie and the human was short lived. They had obviously been looking for Simon and now that they had found them, they felt as though they were in his debt. Andrew thought it was interesting how formal they were once they figured out he was the long lost prince. Sive even decided to fight by his side. The human has also vowed her life to him. It made sense though. Simon had saved Sashi’s life. But to walk into battle with them was not a smart idea. She was more fragile than the others. The siblings fought about the idea for a moment and it was clear that Sashi had won that battle.

The group trudged on with two new editions. It was not long before Andrew could smell smoke. Sive continued to lead them, but their was no need. The smoke was now visible and had a strong scent. "Aedion, take your assigned soldiers and scout for the village, it should be close by," Andrew followed his cousin into the encampment. He took in his surroundings, astonished by the how destroyed this once safe haven was. Andrew finally took notice of the giant dragon in the middle of the village. He recognized him immediately. Each dragon has their own distinct shape and this was Mycah.

The dragon shifted into his human form and Andrew took a step up from behind Simon. "Forgive my failure, Prince Andrew, I should have been there with your father that day, I will avenge him, this I vow upon my blade." Andrew dropped his head a little at the thought of his deceased father. He was going to tell him that everything was fine and there was no need for formalities. Like his cousin, he did not enjoy it. But Mycah dropped to his knee and raised his weapon. "I pledge you my blade, my life, until your enemies fall, Dragon King." King? That was new. Andrew was going to say something but he got a strange feeling.

"Forgive the breech in protocol, You're Grace, but we've company." Andrew grabbed the hilt of his sword, ready to fight whoever was about to attack. "Demons." That was going to be fun. Everyone started fighting and Andrew pulled his sword from his belt. He swung left and right, trying to keep the demons from getting a hand on him. They managed to get rid of the enemies that were an immediate threat.

"Catch your breath now because we're leaving to check the village shortly." Andrew nodded and returned the sword to his hip.

Sarani smiled at Aphylla warmly, proud of the fae standing before her. "Of course, bring back as many herbs as you can, and if you come across anyone injured, keep them calm and stable until they get back to camp," she rolled her eyes at herself, "I don't know why I'm telling you all this, you know what to do," she chuckled. "Be safe, and make sure my brother doesn't kill himself..."
Image

He smiled wryly at the little blonde fae, "good, I hate it when you fight," he said, grasping one of her hair strands and twirling it around his fingers. In truth, he wasn't very happy that his sister had given her permission to come in Sarani's stead. Aphylla was a plant fae, not a warrior fae, and Aedion couldn't imagine losing anyone else he cared about. "Don't do anything reckless, and don't attack unless someone attacks you first. I don't want to have to worry about you jumping into the fray if it comes to that," he said seriously.

Simon came out and assigned his troupe to the village, and Aedion nodded, taking in the five men plus Aphylla and Kellin. It would be a risky mission, especially because they didn't know what state the village would be when they got there and if there would be other fae there. He was worried, but at the same time, he was excited. He loved the thrill of a fight, it was in his blood. He felt water stirring around him as his heart rate increased, and he did his best to calm it down. He couldn't deplete any of his magical energy before they began the mission.

On the road, his troupe followed Simon's diligently until he gave the signal to split up. Together, they ran into a pixie and a human, seemingly injured. Aedion looked for Aphylla to help, but Simon took over quickly and actually managed to heal the girl laying in front of him. They began to head for the supposed dragon boy, and it wasn't long before Simon gave the command to split up. The seven-far troupe went to the left, heading towards the village. He gave the command for silence and lightly treaded on the earth, peering through the trees to the village up ahead. "I'll go left, you take three men and go right. Clear the houses, if anyone's injured bring them out here to Aphylla. We'll meet in the middle," he whispered to Kellin. He took the remaining two mean, and headed left, curling a water tendril around his fist in case there were any surprises.

It was clear this village had seen better days. The walls on the houses were nearly caved in, the roofs had patches and there were vines crawling up the sides. Aedion entered the first house apprehensively, motioning for his soldiers to take different directions and clear it for any victims. He walked on several plants that littered the floor, and tried not to crush any herbs under his feet. He heard his soldiers call out various observations. Not seeing anything of value, they moved on to the next house.

Aedion was moving towards the center when he sensed someone approaching quickly. Not being able to see who it was, he called Kellin to his side. He would not be able to live with himself if anything happened to the prince's son. Aphylla approached, and Aedion relaxed slightly, but he could tell that something was wrong. "Demons? You're sure?" Aedion peered through the trees, sensing something but being unable to sense the threat level. He motioned the men to follow him as he headed towards the demons. "Stay behind me, Aphylla, I don't want to risk it. The soldiers will protect you," he said, even though he didn't trust anyone else but himself to protect her.

The demons were entrapped in a cage-like array of branches that appeared to be the work of his little blonde friend. They were dangerous and frothing at the mouths, but they couldn't get through the magically enhanced branches. "This won't hold them for long, we'll need to do something," he said quietly, before suddenly he had an idea. Turning to Kellin, he shrugged to one side. "Alright, if you're looking to be a leader, what's your opinion on the situation? What would you do if you were me?"

"Well, most know my story..." Erieda began, causing Kaenne to tilt his head to one side, frowning ever so slightly. He, much like the other Seelie fae, was all too familiar with the tales of her dark-minded husband and their multi-raced (not to mention somewhat dysfunctional) family within the mortal realm. However, he liked to think that there was more to his Queen than what he'd heard in stories and troubling rumours.

As she hesitated, Kaenne almost thought that he should stop her, mainly out of fear that she did not want him prying into her personal life. It was not his right to know such things about her, and he should have considered that before he asked; he had foolishly allowed his confidence to push him over a boundary. Merely a second away from telling her not to worry, that it was wrong of him to ask her, but she began again. "I was fortunate to have a family, well... the children anyway, it's the only thing I would never change. I wish they weren't connected to the man they are, they deserve better, and it was my folly for loving that man, but I wouldn't change it for the world, the only good thing to come from him was my children..." As she spoke, Kaenne listened intently, though hearing of her husband wasn't something he enjoyed, not because of his jealousy but instead because - in his limited understanding of their relationship - he was aware that her husband was abusive, and didn't deserve her.

She spoke more, about her daughter whom he assumed she had lost in the war. Erieda kept her children away from war, which consumed his entire life, so Kaenne never had the pleasure of meeting the child, though the way Erieda spoke so passionately of her made him wish he had, at least once. He knew little of his own children, since he could barely spend time with them, but he loved them nonetheless. It pained him when they were killed, perhaps more so than the loss of his wife. "No parent should outlive their child..." she added, and Kaenne looked up suddenly, catching the sadness in her eyes despite her smile. That statement struck a chord in him, while he knew it pained her to talk of her family, of her lost children, he was grateful at least that she had chosen to confide in him.

Reaching forward, his gaze never leaving her face, Kaenne placed a hand gently over hers; not for the desire to touch her, but simply as an act of consolation and perhaps, on some level, affection. Making people feel better was never something he had learned to do, but for Erieda he thought he should at least make the attempt. He hesitated for a few moments, before seemingly being able to find his voice. "I am sorry for your loss, Erieda, truly," he began. "Her death was as needless as it was tragic, I know this, and those foul creatures... Victoria, Alex, Alec... They will suffer for it." There was a pause. "And if you allowed it, I would help you cut each of them down. You have my sword, my word... Everything I have is yours, you know this."

ImageImageImage

As his father ordered the group to leave the encampment, Kellin gave Aedion a quick glance, an impressed expression settling on his features, but followed the older Fae without much objection. Kellin himself was partly fae, but his Wraith and Vampire sides both outweighed the dryad blood within him, and as of late he had found himself sharing Victoria's views on the race as a whole. It was only by her order that he was attempting to blend in with the rebellion, but more than anything, he wanted to put an end to all of them before they could grow in number and subsequently strength. Obviously he couldn't fight them all, at least not by himself, but if given the time and resources, he could figure out a way to take them out before they became an issue.

Victoria would not be happy that the village was being claimed by the rebellion, he reflected. He wondered briefly if she knew, or if no one had lived to tell her about the dragon attack on the encampment. If anyone managed to escape, he hoped that at least one of them had sense enough to return to the castle instead of sticking around. He supposed he would have to wait and see. They wouldn't reach the village for some time, but he didn't wish to fight the demons he still saw as his comrades. There had been some understanding that he would do what he had to do keep his place in the rebellion, but fighting his allies... that would be difficult for him.

Kellin paid no mind to the things happening around him as they marched onwards. The idle chatter of fae soldiers and later an encounter with the fae and human girls, meant nothing to him. He seemed disinterested in all of it, up to the point where his father ordered Aedion and the group to proceed to the village. It took him a moment to remember that he was to be travelling with the Nixie. Releasing a sigh, he followed along with the group as they moved quietly through the woods. "I'll go left, you take three men and go right. Clear the houses, if anyone's injured bring them out here to Aphylla. We'll meet in the middle," Aedion suddenly said, and Kellin took a moment to realise that the order was being directed at him. Grunting in response, he moved to carry out his orders, merely expecting three soldiers to take initiative and follow after him.

Checking through the houses in the village was a mundane task. There seemed to be nothing more than furniture and useless trinkets. No weapons, no valuable resources, not even any remaining fae. Kellin smiled to himself when he was out of the way of the soldiers, more and more with each house they checked. It was looking to be a total waste of time, and had cost the rebellion some time and effort.

It was as he absentmindedly lifted up a vase that he heard Aedion calling for him, and after pausing to roll his eyes, he returned to the older male, looking nothing short of pissed off. He missed most of what Aedion was saying, but as he came into hearing range, he gathered that some demons were hiding in the outskirts of the village. How foolish of them, he thought, crossing his arms over his chest with a huff as he stood beside Aedion. Suddenly the Nixie turned, looking Kellin dead in the eyes. "Alright, if you're looking to be a leader, what's your opinion on the situation? What would you do if you were me?" he asked, causing Kellin's temper to flare. Being a Vampire and a Davenport meant that he had difficulties controlling his emotions, and while he was careful with this around members of the rebellion, Aedion had rubbed him the wrong way with his statement and later his question.

"Who the fuck said I was trying to be a leader?" he snapped, hoping that Aedion would see the question as being rhetorical and not attempt to respond before Kellin gathered his thoughts to speak again. "But if I were in your position, I guess I'd sort my own shit out instead of pawning my responsibilities off on someone else," he growled, allowing one arm to drop to his side while the other reached for the hilt of his sword. "Obviously we have to fight them... They're lesser demons, I can sense it, and they're travelling in an unusually small horde so they won't be too difficult to fight. How many men do we have, eight?" he asked, giving a quick glance around. "Yeah, eight. We can fight them without breaking a sweat."

ImageMycah had been awaiting orders from his new King but instead, he received them from the leader of the rebellion. "Mycah," he called, Mycah turned as the demons came closer. "do something!" He ordered and Mycah sighed. A prince was still a prince, he figured and an order was an order. Taking a running start, he headed straight for the biggest one he could find, a large purple skinned demon, with a maw like a horse, and black tongue of a snake. He launched himself from the ground like an arrow, feet first. His heels struck true, knocking the demon down flat on his back. Mycah wasted no time, twirling his Kurki in his hand, and slammed it down hard in the chest of the beast. The demon roared, before knocking Mycah from his chest. Mycah recovered on a knee, his eyes went straight to the blade in the beasts chest so he darted forward again, the demon lunging at him, only for Mycah to leap up and over the beast, landing on a foot and sending the other into it's back, one after another, a flurry of kicks, knocked the beast forward before the final kick spun him around. Light speed, Mycah reached, grabbed the hilt of his blade and pulling it free, black blood spinning around him in obsidian ribbons. The beast roared, and Mycah moved in against, stabbing backhanded into the beasts chest, one two three fours times before spinning front and sending his blade two fisted up and into the creatures jaw and through to it's skull. The beast crumbled down to it's knees and and falling forward. Mycah crouched down to free his kurki and there was the unmistakable sound of a blade flying close to his head, and hitting a target behind him. He looked up to see the red headed pixie, grinning proudly at the falling demon behind him, a small blade in it's eye. Mycah nodded and the pixie giggled before taking off.
Mycah freed his dagger before moving to kill the other demons that thought them an easy target. Soon enough the battle was decided and the rebellion was the victory.

"Catch your breath now,"Prince Simon said, "because we're leaving to check the village shortly." Mycah nodded and cleaned his blade on his leg.

He looked around the soldiers then, apart of him had hoped that she was with them but the other part was relived. It pained him to think but perhaps she perished, resting peacefully with the Four. The War worried her more than most, with any luck she never saw it. He hoped it was swift her end. He'd been searching for her, before Lord Thomas' death, and had just resumed his search. He had to admit that losing Lord Thomas put him in a dark place, a place he dare not lead her so he stopped looking. He didn't want her to see him so weak, so sad, and broken. The guilt weigh on him still.

"You were amazing." the pixie said, coming up to him with a wide grin. Mycah merely nodded." You fought well, Little one."

"Sive."

"Mycah."

"Thanks, for ya'know saving me and my sister." She looked back at the wide eyed girl, being helped by the Prince.

"No need," he said and paused. "You are with the rebellion?" He asked and Sive smiled proudly. "Yep!"

"Do you know of a woman named Eida?"

Sive frowned,. "Sorry, no." She told him. "I just joined a little bit ago," She admitted and he sighed. "That's fine." He said and put it out of his mind. They had the village to check, and surely there were more than that.

"Prince Simon, I shall scout ahead." He yelled and gestured for Sive to back away some. He took dragon form and lifted high into the sky, his mind on Eida, her smile, the way she felt riding on his back, petting his scales. What he wouldn't give to see her again, what he would do if he did.

Sashi wasn't prepared for a battle, she didn't see the demons coming, and suddenly they were on them. She wasn't sure what to do, Sive told her to hide, but she had no where to go, there was nothing but the forest and she knew better than to run into there, with the creatures that dwell within. She looked over at the Prince, his blade free, prepared to slay the demons, but then his eyes found hers, and concerned darkened them. He waved his hand, and suddenly darkness swirled around her, encasing her inside like a music box. She didn't know what was happening and she felt her breathing quicken. She looked up at him, the world slightly darker around her as he approached and placed a hand to the shadow box.

"Do not panic, you're safe in here," She heard his voice loud and clear, so she nodded before he dashed off. Sashi's eyes never left his, as he moved around the battle, graceful and dangerous, like a sword dancer, black blood spun in the air from his blade and all she could do was stare.

Soon the battle was over, and with a wave of his hand, the shadows slide away, and she was able to see in full color once again. His eyes scanned her, checking for injury and when he was satisfied he went gave his orders again. She moved over to him. "Are you injured at all, my lord?" She asked, with a frown creasing her brow. He'd been so worried for her, but he could have just as easily been injured himself. "Need ye water? or or..." She stopped, She felt useless, Sive was right, she was just in the way. It was in that moment that the dragon, called Mycah shouted that he'd be scouting ahead and Sashi sighed.

"Did you see that, Sash?" Sive cried as she came running over and wrapping her arms around her. Sashi looked at her with wide eyes. "I fought demons, I killed them." She said. "And even saved a Dragon." She said, putting her hands on her hips and raising her head proudly. "Well done, Sister, You fought well." She said but her smile didn't reach her eyes. At least Sive was making good on her word, what good was her life to the Prince if she was useless?

"Are you injured at all, my lord?" Sashi piped up, causing Simon to turn his attention back to her once again, a soft smile settling on his lips at her concern for his wellbeing. There was a frown weighin on her features but it was endearing. "Need ye' water? Or, or..." she continued, but seemed to stop herself, presumably out of frustration. Simon knew exactly what was wrong; the young human felt useless, surrounded by individuals who all had a purpose while she could not find hers. It was in this moment that Mycah called over. "Prince Simon, I shall scout ahead." Simon held up a hand and nodded, as if gesturing that he understood and approved of such actions. He called back a 'thank you' before Mycah shifted and took flight.

Simon could still feel Sashi's presence by his side. He felt sympathetic for her, because even he could think of nothing for her to do. Part of him thought it might make her feel better if he took a drink of water, but before he could ask for it, her elder sister approached from behind and began a conversation. Simon could barely take his eyes off Sashi, but stepped back regardless to allow them some room. Sive fought well, he knew, and had every reason to be happy, but Sashi seemed dejected. Still, he gave congratulations where congratulations were due.

"Well done, Sive," he said, smiling. "You took down more of them than I did, I think I've got some competition here." It was then that he placed a hand on Sashi's shoulder briefly, smiling down at her as if to reassure her that he did not share her thoughts of herself. She may not have a purpose just yet, but she had been a member of the rebellion for all of five minutes, and she would find one soon enough. She was neither useless nor a hindrance in his mind. "You could check if the other soldiers need water, if you'd like. I'm sure they'd appreciate it."

Image"Is that so?"Daoine cocked her head, a wolfish grin spreading across her face. His sexual aura spiked and it filled her quickly. "You have business here?" He asked and she cut her eyes in the direction of the bedroom he'd seemed to exit from. "The Queen is... indecent, as it were." To that, Daoine snorted. "If she wasn't such a cunt that would be interest me, but alas." She said and rose her hands, as if she shrugged. "You however," She said and looked him up and down, unabashed. "I'd take you on." She said, before straightening her head some. "But no, I don't have business here, I'm just bored, I've killed all the demon, I gather I was supposed to train or train me, I don't know. "She said, rolling her eyes. "Whatever excuse she gave to have me killed." She said, and twirled her sais, "I don't think she likes me much." She said with a giggle.

"Well done, Sive," Prince Simon said and Sashi looked at her sister. "You took down more of them than I did, I think I've got some competition here." He said and Sive nudged her with a proud grin. Sashi smiled at her sister, she was proud of her, she was but she wished she felt as useless, even without her wings, Sive could assist. The Prince set his hand on her shoulder, with a smile, as if he read her thoughts. "You could check if the other soldiers need water, if you'd like. I'm sure they'd appreciate it." He said and she smiled. "Aye, You're Grace." She said, and found herself wondering where she'd find some water, but Sive had a pouch at her side, so after she handed it to her, and Sashi made her way around, offering water to the others. She smiled as she brought the water to them all, a few took it, a few didn't, so when finally, she made her way back to the Prince, she offered him some only to find there wasn't any more "I'm sorry, You're Grace, we haven't anymore...." She said, dropping her head. She felt so useless. "Is there something else, I could do, I thought I heard water in the woods, I could clean the weapons, I know how to do that." She told him, a little more eager then she would have liked. "Anything I could do to help."

"If she wasn't such a cunt that would interest me, but alas," Daoine replied after snorting her amusement aloud, and Alex couldn't help but smirk lightly in response. While he held no negative views towards the Queen, even after everything she had put his family though, he couldn't help but find himself ever so appreciative of Daoine's outspoken opinion; it was refreshing to encounter someone who did not fear speaking out against the Demon Queen. "You however, I'd take you on," she shortly added, and as her eyes danced up and down his form, he felt his entire body tensing as if he was about ready to pounce. His steady glare coupled with his smirk urged her to see that challenge through, though he remained - for the most part - in his place, shifting his weight only slightly.

"But no, I don't have business here, I'm just bored, I've killed all the demons, I gather I was supposed to train or train me, I don't know," she continued and Alex had to think twice about whether he found that all the more amusing or a little concerning. While he would never normally agree with the needless death of the soldiers under his command, he was also not quite himself that morning, so he merely nodded and glanced towards the doors to Victoria's bedroom. "I don't think she likes me much," Daoine added, to which Alexander responded with a strangely light-hearted chuckle. He turned back to her, one brow raised. "Of course she doesn't like you," he agreed, "you challenge her too much. I, on the other hand, find you rather intriguing." He watched her carefully, almost as if she was a meal he had yet to catch, despite it very much being the other way around. "But then again, you don't frequently call me a cunt, so y'know..."

This was strange, even for Alex. He had been unfaithful before so he was no stranger to bedding women other than his wife, he had done so only moments before, but never before had he attempted to challenge or flirt with either of them. He truly was too far gone, and he knew this. He was so far beyond redemption, in fact, that he had decided to give up on Erieda entirely, as he was sure she had already done with him.

"Aye, your Grace," Sashi replied and Simon felt a large smile slipping across his lips, watching her as she retrieved the water from her sister before walking around and checking the soldiers as instructed. He watched her as she went, before moving back to the piles of dead demons that were still left on the ground. He leaned down to pick up his sword, which was unfortunately drenched in black blood, much to his general disgust. He gripped it firmly regardless, but would not sheathe it just in case. Demon blood was thick and toxic, he'd prefer not to get it over his entire outfit, but he could sacrifice a glove at least. This sword was... important to him, but for reasons he was rarely prepared to admit. Otherwise he would have been content to leave it be.

Simon made his way back to Sive just as Sashi returned from offering water to the men, and she even went to offer him some only to come to the realisation that all the water was gone. She looked dismayed. "I'm sorry, your Grace, we haven't anymore..." she said, almost as if Simon might scold her for it. He wasn't particularly thirsty anyhow, so it mattered little to him whether there was any water remaining or not. He put his men before himself, but Sashi had not yet learned this. He watched as she dropped her head, and his fingers twitched as he felt the urge to his his hand to her chin to straighten her head; to look her straight in the eye and tell her that it was okay. "Is there something else I could do? I thought I heard water in the woods, I could clean the weapons, I know how to do that," she began explaining. "Anything I could do to help."

Simon took a moment to think, before glancing at Sive, then back at Sashi. "I don't mind if you fetch water, or clean the weapons. You've only recently been healed, you should take some time to rest, but I'll not stop you if you wish to help," he said, smiling softly down at her. "And if you're planning to leave the encampment, you mustn't go alone, so take your sister. We don't know if there are any demons still lurking in the area." He went to speak again, and stopped himself as if he was trying to gather his thoughts, before - after a moment of quiet - he resumed. "Perhaps when all our forces are gathered and settled in the village, we could have our healer teach you some things. Or I could show you how to handle a blade," he said, followed by a small wink, before nodding as if to gesture that she could leave whenever she was ready.

"Of course she doesn't like you," Alexander agreed causing Daoine to shrug. "you challenge her too much. I, on the other hand, find you rather intriguing." He said, his eyes watched like a cat eying it's prey. She wondered if he'd pounce. "But then again, you don't frequently call me a cunt, so y'know..." Alexander said and Daoine raised her sai to his chin, tapping the point to his skin. "You don't frequently act like one." She said with a sideways smirk. She openly sniffed around him. "You have such a darkness about you..." She said, licking her upper lip, as she moved her sai downward, tracing the planes of his neck, and chest, before stopping at his collarbone. She pressed the tip of her sai a little harder, enough to break the skin, but not enough to truly her. "It smells like sex and blood." She said, and watching the blood bead up from where her sai pressed. "All of my favorite things." She said, moving the tip of her sai to the blood and raising it to her lip, and lewdly touching her tongue to the blade, sampling his blood. She grinned, "Savory..." She cooed, tempting him with her eyes.

"I don't mind if you fetch water, or clean the weapons. You've only recently been healed, you should take some time to rest, but I'll not stop you if you wish to help," The Prince told her and she bit her inner cheek for her bashfulness. His soft smile made her heart race a little. "And if you're planning to leave the encampment, you mustn't go alone, so take your sister. We don't know if there are any demons still lurking in the area." He said and she looked back at the forest. Forests used to be something of a haven, but now, it was filled with horrors. She didn't want to let it deter her. She wanted to help. "Perhaps when all our forces are gathered and settled in the village, we could have our healer teach you some things. Or I could show you how to handle a blade," He said and Sive wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "She's good with a needle." She said. "When the demons took me wings, She's stitched me up good." She said and Sashi's eyes went wide. Sive must have been on a high from the battle, because she didn't really like talking about the loss of her wings. Sive cried, Sashi never seen her cry but she understood, she'd lost most of her magic with her wings but since she was a pixie, she couldn't hold more than one emotion at a time. Sashi lost much too when the demons took her. She was the only human they'd seen since the Merge, they took their time exploring her limits. Sashi looked at the Prince, wondering what he though of this development. Surely a pixie losing her wings would be worrisome, even if Sive did smile.

"Surely, with the good Prince around and his art, no one would need such a crude skill."

"Do I look like i'm asking him to heal me?" Sive chuckled, pressing a knuckle to her sister's head. Sashi winced but smiled.
"I'll ask the healers, as you say, You're Grace." She said. "Could she learn magic?" Sive asked. "Maybe you could learn magic, Sash?" Sive chimed and Sashi looked away from the Prince. She hoped she could learn magic, their mother was to teach her witch spells but she never got a chance to learn anything useful. She could only see that was hidden, but that wasn't really a spell, it was something she was born with. She was Sighted, a human who could naturally see the Fae even in their glamour. It was why their mother took her in the first place. She'd seen her when she was very small, and she wasn't afraid, her mother said that Sashi saw her, and while she'd been in her cradle, crying loudly, she stopped when she saw her and it compelled their mother to pick her up and she never wanted to let her go.

"Our mother was gonna teach her some spells but then the Merge happened...Oh Could you teach her."

"Sive, Please, he's a Prince, and a leader, he hasn't the time." and it was then they that feel into one of their conversation where they completely forget the other people around them.

"So, He's a dryad, he could do it.
"Sive, Please, just don't."

"I don't have my art any more, so one of us has to have something."

"Sive...Can we not talk about this now?"

They both stopped and looked at the Prince. "Sorry." "Sorry," They said together. Sive rubbed the back of her head and Sashi bit her inner cheek again.

"We should go, featch the water."Sashi said, bowing before stumbling a little away, Sive slightly shoving into her, trying to move.
"Right, Water, Fetch it. ha-ha." Sive added before they both scurried off.
