Kurn, God of Enlightenment

The aether was stirring in the night, filling the senses of the most mysterious god as it traveled across the universe. It felt the pull of Lycaon as the king of gods summoned him and several others to his chambers. For Kurn, that could wait until his objective was done. Exploring the outer fringes of the solar system Kurn was watching the progress of some debris that had been floating around endlessly since near the beginning of time. He knew they would eventually form into a new moon that would shine brilliantly. That event was millions of years in the future but Kurn still wished to keep track on the progress of this event.

After checking up on the debris he started his journey back to Etheria. The journey was fast for Kurn, as he connected himself to the energy web that held the universe together and traveled almost instantaneously to Lycaon's chambers. A bright flash of light entered the room as his true form, a bright star-like orb, appeared right before Lycaon in the middle of his hall. The light solidified and lost it's light as it formed into a white haired youth humanoid with elven ears and silver eyes. Dressed in white robes with rainbow colored trim that changed colors as one shifted in the light, Kurn stepped before Lycaon and bowed his head solemnly before moving to stand off to the side so that others could enter the room in the center.

He said nothing as he usually did unless giving out advice and sat on the ground cross-legged as he began to meditate while he waited for the other gods to arrive.

Entorios was laying against a tree, one of the ancient trees that had been here since the beginning, when the primordial gods brought this world into being. All this went through Entorios's head, and thus he began to sing. He chose a rich tenor for this song, and sang of the mightiness of the forest, of its endless dance of growth and death, of shelter for the animals and elves who called the forest home. His song rang through the forest, and animals and birds near and far came to watch, and with them came a trio of elves.

The three approached him, and bowed. One of them, who had hair like spun silver, approached Entorios, and said "Greetings my lord. You must be the god Entorios, for no other could sing like that. I am Anros, and these two are my wife Nyonsossus, and my son Elros. We desire to listen to your singing, and perhaps join in if we are able?"

Entorios smiled at the three, for they were known to him as worshipers of his. They often sent prayers his way, and so he nodded.
"Let us sing of-" His sentence was interrupted by the tugging of King Lycaon's summons. Frowning, he said "I am sorry my friends, but I have been summoned. I bid thee farewell. May your hearts ever be full of music." Walking away, he sang two notes, a note so low that the ground rumbled briefly, and a note so high any glass near by would have shattered. The dissonance of the two notes created a portal, and thus he stepped through.

To show his annoyance with being summoned whilst in the middle of something he decided to be a little dramatic. As he entered his form shifted and became more regal, with golden robes adorning his frame. He pulled a trumpet from nothing, and played a heralding tune. And only then did he step forward into the throne room. Passing the other gods with nods or a hello sung, he came to the throne. "I have come forth O king, as you have bid." Then, stepping away from the throne he moved to stand beside Klethi.

Aeristhatia boredly watched a collection of humans arguing about something unimportant down on mortal ground. She swirled a glass of nectar with impatience. "This day has the attitude of an angry, sleep-deprived bear with a migraine." A scroll materialized on the pedestal in front of her. "Lycaon's doing, I would assume." She read it with interest, realizing it was a summons. Getting up and stretching she turned Hyena-form and ran to Lycaon's silver hall. Upon arrival, she burst through the doors with plenty of flamboyance. "Lycaon, was this really neccessary? I have been very extremely busy with all the busy things Ive been doing!" She smirked, standing beside the other gods and goddesses. "What matter has come up tod-" She stopped as Entorios spoke. There was something so charismatic about him that left her in awe. "G-good evening, Entorios." She smiled but broke into a laugh as she drank the last bit of divine nectar. She hoped this "gathering" would be somewhat festive, and not another monotonous discussion like they usually had.

Lycaon sat on his silver throne as one by one his fellow deities entered the room filling the massive hall. The king tried to greet each of his guests as they arrived in his halls. "I"m glad you can come to lend us your wisdom." he said to Kurn as he entered. As Serena described her master's absence Lycaon gave an audible sigh of annoyance. He had a feeling that the mother would send one of her underlings to take her place. For once He had hoped that she would of neglected to send anyone at all. Despite his disdain for her master he greeted Serena courteously. He continued to greet each god as they arrived. When the god of death came before Lycaon with his formalities the king chuckled at his comment regarding Karvana and responded by saying, "Your not so lowly as you think yourself friend. If more of us were like you we'd have a far more peaceful world." When the last of his guests as of the moment entered with her objections Lycaon was ready to get angry but quickly held himself back when he noticed the way she looked at Entorios. He had always found the younger gods amusing and was rather curious about what would become of the two younger gods.

"Brothers and sisters, not all of our ranks have yet to gather here but I feel that our business is urgent and we can begin our discussion now and let the others catch up if and when they get here." the king said as he rose from his throne and paced through the room as he spoke. "As you all know we were only able to defeat our predecessors by using the miraculous metal known as adamant. It is the one thing that we are incapable of creating and it is said to be the bones of the fallen primordial gods themselves. As time has gone on we have used our precious supply for various purposes ranging from binding a few of our own numbers over the year to forging weapons of incredible power." As he made his last comment he gestured to his spear, one of the few adamant weapons. "Our stores of adamant are almost completely empty. If we were ever to have an internal threat we would have no means to bind them and will instead wage war against each other forever with no means of permanently defeating the other since we would both be immortal. This unsolvable conflict will accomplish nothing save the destruction of countless lesser lives." As he made this last comment he looked toward Serena, the only non-god in the room. "I have managed to find a rather large vain of the stuff deep within the Ulmish mountains. Anywhere else and it would easily be ours; however, Ulm is one of the few gods not part of this court and I fear that if he were to discover what lies in his lands than it would be vary difficult for us to acquire it without severe casualties and the hatred of the race of giants for the rest of eternity. I have gathered you all here to discuss a means of acquiring this adamant."

As Selyse walked through the beautiful Glade of Merelethym, she examined the countless blossoms of Yffelnys. The magic of the area helping to create the flowers and to draw the attention of this particular goddess as well. Since discovering this secret place she has traveled here after any particularly taxing endeavor.

The only things she encountered on these visits were the various flora and the stray animal that was able to enter. Selyse found this quite relaxing compared to being around those that never took a moment to appreciate the magic that surrounded everything. Those were the ones that never heeded warnings and taunted her worshippers.

As she was walking contemplating this, she felt a summons and of course answered. She transported herself to the room knowing grim news awaited. Selyse appeared as an elegant, older woman as usual, bearing an air of wisdom.

"I apologize for my late arrival,"She states before going to her place among the rest of the gods gathered for this meeting.

As Vescteseg entered the room Lycaon tried to hide his annoyance at his brother's arrival. An eternity ago the two were close but Lycaon had changed and Vescteseg had hardly changed from the bestial god he once was. Of all the gods attending he really hoped that his brother would ignore the invitation and not learn of his plans to acquire the Adamant. The main reason for this being that Vescteseg was the god he had in mind if he were to use the adamant to bind someone in an emergency.

"If it isn't the god of the corruption himself. I am glad that my brother could make it even if it means that I'll have to fix floor again. I can make silver out of nothing but really if I keep having to do this it is going to depreciate in value." Lycaon said trying to keep the atmosphere in the room civil since he had more important business at the moment.

The king was relieved when Selseye entered the room. "Its no big deal my friend we were just beginning to discuss a solution to our adamant supply problems." he said as she was apologizing. To be honest Lycaon was overjoyed that she was able to break the tension in the room from Vescteseg's arrival.

Kurn, God of Enlightenment

As the rest of the gods continued to stream into the hall, Kurn stood back up and folded his hands into his white and shimmering robes. He moved to his position in the room next to Hazarmaveth and listened to Lycaon's words. He took in all of this information and instantly knew the wisest decision to take, but he did not speak just yet. He looked around the room and wondered what the other gods would come up with, judging their reactions as he smiled brightly at everyone. Finally he decided to take the floor after Lycaon had finished.

Stepping forwards into the center of the circle of gods, the white haired youth of a man came to rest and turned to look at everyone in one motion before he spoke. "In a situation such as this, trust is something that must be front and foremost. But Ulm is not always the easiest one to do so. If this adamant is to be obtained peacefully, perhaps a god is not the best option to use to get it. I believe that a mortal should be used in our place." Looking over at the only mortal in the room his eyes flashed lightly before he continued with his speech.

"If we influence a mortal, with the right traits of course, he or she might be able to... whats the word, trick Ulm into letting them have access to the adamant and once the mortal is in possession of it, we will able to claim it for the vault." He now turned to Lycaon and took slow steps toward him with his arm outstretched in his direction. "A word of caution, oh King. If you carry out this plan, choose your mortal wisely. Not just any will do." Kurn steps back out of the center and into his place once more to let the other gods and goddesses discuss other options or even add onto his own plan.

While they were talking, Kurn closed his eyes and ran his fingers through his short white hair. It had been forever since he had been in a physical form. He had to get used to it again, and soon. His cycle of travel was fast approaching when he would wonder the mortal world for a time.

After listening to Kurn speak, Aeristhatia twirled Myrelette thoughtfully until it turned from a glass to a scepter once again. It seemed like an excellent plan, considering mortals were very....disposable to the gods. However, Ulm would most likely take advantage of that As well.

As one of the younger Gods, Aeristhatia felt it improper to speak now on such a matter. However, as you know, She is anything but proper and so in her mind it seemed perfect to logical to give her imput.

"Why don't we give this mortal a companion to help them on their journey, Lycaon? An animal, perhaps? I'd offer a platypus, but I render that to be somewhat unhelpful to our hero. Maybe one of you gods have an idea?"

Feeling the earth quake with Vescteseg's entrance, she stepped back in line, muttering something under her breath with disgust and rolling her eyes. Of course this troglodyte of a God had to come prancing into the meeting like this. Hearing Lycaon's didsain for him, she couldn't help but chuckle, which she instantly regretted. She hoped Vescteseg hadn't heard it...

Lycaon listened to his court and considered their various suggestions and advice. Kurn was wise and one of the few gods who wasn't primaily concerned with their own interests and had rarely failed him in the past. He considered the idea of a mortal agent of the gods to retrieve the adamant. He racked his mind to think of a human capable of this task and only one could come to mind. She is insanely persuasive and can talk herself out of most things however she was stubborn and vary hard to control. He thought of Aeristhatia's suggestions and chuckle to himself at th thought of her platypus. He had always found tho use creatures funny and was certain that Aeristhatia was drunk when she created it. He considered sending klethi's mortal as she suggested; however, she she was too random and unpredictable to eb counted on alone.

"Kurn I do agree with your sugstion that we send mortal champion to deal with this issue. The giants are a dangerous people and Ulm is an unpredictable titan so I purpose we send a team heroes. As many of you know I had a daughter who is half god and half human. Getting Nymeria to want to help us will be difficult but if I can persuade her than she would be a very capable agent for us She will be accompanied by Klethi's candidate who seems to be capable enough." Lycaon then turned to face Serena. "It is said that your master's exalted are among the greatest warriors in the world. I would a honored if one of your ranks acompany our party of heroes." He then turned to face Aeristhatia. "Honestly with a team like this a platapus of te godess of trickery couldn't hurt."

This plan seemed risky but it seemed to be his best choice given the situation. He had little trust for the mother and her exalted but he knew that she was loyal to her servants and that it would be highly unlikely that she would disrupt his plans if one of them were part of it. He knew next to nothing of Klethi's elf but they tended to be useful people and he doubted that he would pose a threat to the plans.

Vescteseg stood tall as Lycaon civilly berated him for his little display, but Vescteseg could not be bothered to care. He crossed his arms and said "Aye brother, then it will have caught up with you!" chuckling at his little bit of wit, he moved more to the edge of the room, standing seperate from the other gods. A voice calling his name caught his attention however, and he moved towards she who had called him: Klethi, the goddess of Chance. Grimacing at her choice of praising, his attention was piqued by a seeming willingness to work with him. Moving towards her, he was interrupted by the lackluster god of enlightenment Kurn, who prattled on about sending a mortal of all things to secure the adamant veins. Now of all things, Vescteseg did not want Lycaon renewing his stockpile of Adamant, for that would mean he would be putting his neck under a sword of Damocles. Vescteseg would have to strike first. All these thoughts raced through his mind, and inside he was cursing virulently.

Then once more, another one of the weaker gods bothered him. This time it was that pathetic godling Hazarmaveth, bleating about his entrance and keeping things civil. Turning towards him his eyes glowed with purple fire, and he said in a voice that sounded like a pleasant enough male baritone, but was wreathed in nastiness, "Civil? Why Dear Hazarmaveth I simply OOZE civility. It is others who offend me. Whining to our King Lycaon about all the souls 'trapped' in the Corruption when you think I'm not paying attention. You can come and try and collect them if you dare. You will find my strength is much grown."

And all the while the discussion was going on. Thus he decided to intrude. "Brothers, Sisters! I have a solution. We must make Ulm a trade! Within my realm there is a great lake of lava, created by the great Titan. However, it was taken as my land expanded. I can offer this land back to him, with a corridor leading back to his mountains if he grants us rights to the adamant. However, seeing as I will be sacrificing a not so small portion of territory I demand the right to half the Adamant." Thus speaking, he crossed his arms and set his stance to await the others' responses.

Kurn, God of Enlightenment

Kurn listened to the new ideas sprouting from the deities present. Each one added something new into the creative discussion they were all having. The plan was growing, and so far it seemed like it might succeed with a bit of luck. The champions they were discussing being chosen were well qualified for the task, but than Vescteseg comes in with a completely new plan. Kurn liked this idea of his despite the risks. If it failed than Ulm would know about the adamant and they would have nothing. Still, it was a peaceful solution that benefited everyone, and that is what Kurn wanted most of all.

Kurn raised his hand up near his shoulder to signal he was about to speak. "I second Vescteseg's idea. However I suggest being subtle about the offer of trade. Let Ulm offer the Adamant on his own, or perhaps if he is stuck on a counter offer mention it in passing." Kurn felt one of his followers offering him something at his temple, and he kept one eye at the meeting so he could appear at his temple in a spectral form.

In Kurn's 'Temple of the Mind's Eye' there was a nomadic patron on his knees in front of a large mirror where one would lay offerings at it's base. The offering was a bowl of flowers in a variety of colors. A glowing outline of Kurn appeared in the mirror and surprised the man making the offering. Kurn sucked the bowl of flowers into the mirror and laid a blessing on the man in respect of his long journey, allowing the man to travel out of his body in his sleep for the rest of his life. His will now finished, Kurn's specter returned to his body and with it came the bowl of flowers which he now held in front of him.

Aeristhatia boredly watched Kern talk to the other Gods. She enjoyed Kurn, but he tended to get a little bit....bland sometimes. This gathering was becoming increasingly monotonous, and she wished it was over. She looked to Lycaon with a silent plea of suffering. Rolling her eyes she began playing with a lock of hair. "I might as well become the goddess of unnecessary pain If this keeps up." She muttered to herself. She knew fullwell how important this matter was, however it was hard for her limited attention span to comprehend. She attempted a subtle sigh to show her discontent, but it came out as a large "HHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH". She was met with a handful of giggles from some of the other gods. She hated when they used her favorite things against her. It wasn't like they threw tarot cards at klethi when she was being annoying...

#, as written by Mr.Sol
Entorios for once decided to stay silent, watching the events before him unfold. As both plans were detailed and heroes suggested, his mind drifted for a while. Drifted to a similar quest a thousand years before. One of which many songs had been written about. A tale of five heroes who had quested against an ancient power to claim artifacts of incredible importance. So far they only had two possible. He also completely disregarded Vescteseg's plan out of rage, for the God of Corruption was kidnapping HIS people to experiment on. Drawing upon this outrage, he stepped forward.

"Brothers! Sisters!" His voice was a clarion call for silence, slashing through the hubbub of the gods assembled with the might of its sound "Hear me out. If success is to be had upon this quest then we must hark to the olden days. We must use the tale of the Quest for the Scepter of Yntos as our precedent." Thus he broke into song.

"Listen all ye who travel roads and visit inns
For I speak of the ones who came before ye, from ye
The Five of whom I speak were much like ye
Glortinyin, Elf skilled with word and bow
Teryn, Man skilled in the arts of war and woe
Ulyss, Woman whose healing hand ne'er failed
Nhilnos, The Beast, the Unlikely, whose death ye honor
And finally Retcher, the Man who led the Five"

And so he went on for near three quarters of an hour, his voice waxing and waning as he told of the five who stole into a vast fortress guarded by the fanatical cult of a long gone god, and took the scepter they defended in order to crown a new king of their lands to stop the bloodshed. Entorios's voice hit every note flawlessly and sometime through it a lyre appeared in his hands as he played.

And finally he finished. And thus he said "I suggest one of my followers, a Entorithi by the name of Lorenthos. He is able bodied, good with a sword, and is an outstanding musician." Then, bowing, he stepped back into the mass of Gods smiling.

Lycaon listened to his court argue over a solution to their problem and was horrified when Vescteseg sugested the trade. He wanted to minimize bloodshed; however, he knew that if his brother had that much adamant than he would be a far more dangerous threat tha he is now.

"Entitiorios's song is right!" The god-king said as he rose from his throne and flew to the rooms center. "If we are to retrieve this adamant than we most work together. When the bestial gods ruled this land I wasn't able to defeat the because I was stronger or even smarter. I won because I was able to get help. Help from a diverse group of gods like we have here now. Nymeria is part god and is one of the best warriors I've ever seen, but she is still barely more than a child. I've heard stories of Lorenthos, Fenris, Borne, and the exalted. They are all mighty on their own right, but they are no match for Ulm and his legions of giants on their own. Ulm doesn't recognize our government and if he were to realize just what he has with his adamant than I fear that he might become a threat to some of the members of our court. I understand that Vescteseg is wiling to make a great sacrifice on our behalf and I thank my brother for it, though I am sure there are alterior motives. The most important thing is retrieving this adamant without a war and I have come to this conclusion. We send our party of champions to the Ulmish mountains to try to retrievethe adamant by any means necessary. If they are caught or killed we claim that they are not ours and feign ignorance of the adamant. However after our good friend Ulm tells us about the intrusion of these mortals for his adamant we can mention how we've been looking for some and offer the trade."

Lycaon knew that this plan was risky especiall if he failed since I could cost him half the adamant and his daughter but he knew it was a risk that must be taken.

"It will be a dangerous quest and I'm sure that not all of our heroes, if any, will survive. But If the do oh the stories that will be told and the song that would be sung of their deads. I ask you not as your king but as your fellow god and friend to lend me and te party of adventurers we shall asemble your support for this plan."

Aeristhatia brushed the hair out of her face rather ungracecfully. "Lycaon is right. Although I know that many of our heroes will perish, it Is worth the adamant. I only wish we had a keeper of some sort to gaurd it and protect it once it is in our possesion for until it is needed." Glancing at Vescteseg's smirk, she shivered. Aeristhatia was terrified of him. She always had been.

Voice quivering, she continued. "It would save us contention and battle over who gets the adamant." She stepped back in line beside the others. She reprimanded herself for looking like such a fool, cowering under Vescteseg's shadow. Aeristhatia turned Myrellette into a fan and gently fanned herself, waiting to see what they thought of her idea.

Kurn, God of Enlightenment

As the planning seemed to reach it's apex, Kurn seemed to be pleased with the overall outcome. He saw that the meeting was soon at an end, so he moved a little ways away from the main group and wandered to the back corner of the room. Creating an orb of light he sent it into the corner of the room as it took physical form as a table of exotic foods with chairs around it. Kurn took one of the seats and grabbed some fruits as he ate for the fun of it. As a god he did not need to eat so it as just for the flavor that he even bothered putting food in his mouth.

His conciousness raced to several different places again, moving from place to place as it searched out several things of interest. His physical body kept eating without really having need be given the command to do so. Kurn's eyes if anyone noticed swam with rippling color across their surface as he was deep in thought at the table. He always had one ear on the discussion however, and kept track of what the current topic was.

One silver lining about Ulm for lesser creatures is that they can see him coming from far away, he isn't exactly a creature prone to discretion. That, and the fact that his sheer physical form rivals the clouds in height.

His feet had touched the soil of Corruption by now. The earth felt twisted with hatred, and though his domain still extended even to these parts, it felt foreign and hostile. Even to Ulm's earthen skin it felt uncomfortable. The absence of Vesceteseg was a relief, though he was sure the lost souls he was occasionally trampling with his titanic footsteps were on their way to fetch their master here.

A pillar of smoke loomed in the distance. There was his destination, the Baleful Cauldron as lesser beings had come to call it, atleast before it fell before the influence of this filth. He felt deep loathing every time he passed the remnants of a temple. Weak minded fools worshiping a crooked god with nothing but power in mind and no interest in living things. He would wish to see a day where this influence could be reverted, but not without someone with immense willpower and force when it came to influencing the life force of his surroundings. Ulm felt like he would know someone like that, but couldn't put his finger on it. Another memory shrouded by time, it seemed. A thought was trying to surface from the back of his mind, but couldn't quite make it as Ulm's attention ran elsewhere.

As he drew ever closer to the lava lake, he pondered upon the selection of a champion, and suddenly he was struck by inspiration. He had the perfect idea to test the mettle of mortals, including his own people. He would create the ultimate test, to defeat the perfect life form created by his hand in a test of strength and wits. He would use the most beautiful and sturdy of metals in his domain to mold it, to prove his greatness. As divine designs were thrown around in his mind, he came to wonder if the Undervaults of Giant's Peak still had Adamant in store.

[[OOC Edit: I forgot to change the location, this post is supposed to be located in the Corruption.]]

After Vescteseg left, there was an odd silence in the room. "Good riddance, you old [insert favorite curse word here]!" Said Aeristhatia, breaking the silence. "I suppose it may be a good idea to further discuss this predicament another time, Lycaon. It may help to let everyone for the better to think on it for a while." Closing her fan she glanced up at him. "Additionally, it would give us time to prepare our heroes." Stretching, she leaned against one of the silver columns, almost tripping in the proccess.

Aeristhatia popped her knuckles and looked around the room, attempting to read the other's expressions. Her face let out a quirky smile as her eyes landed on Entorios, softly humming. Her face felt hot as she averted her eyes to the sterling silver floor. She had never met the diety of love, but they seemed like a total [insert second favorite curse word here] if they though Aeristhatia would fall for the God of music. Aeristhatia was most likely going to remain single for the rest of her existence. After all, she really had nothing to offer besides her charisma, stunning good looks, wit, her all around perfection, her lack of all around imperfection, etc etc etc.

Ok maybe she was exaggerating a bit...

Snapping back into reality she listened to see what Lycaon would say, hoping he would consider her suggestion.

"My hero is ready immediately!" Klethi declared. "And whether the rest of you have your heroes prepared is your own problem. I will be setting Fenris on his journey immediately. Not that he needs it, but I'd appreciate greatly if your platypus companion would be ready to accompany him soon. He is a fan of animals and I have no oxymorons of my own to provide. If you lot will excuse me, I have words of my own to exchange with the big V and Ulm."

And Klethi was gone.

And Klethi was there in the swirls of corruption of death that was Vesctseg's realm. She seemed undisturbed (perhaps even content) by her environment. Her face was filled with delight on seeing Ulm, which wasn't the reaction he normally drew. "You! Titan! I have words to exchange," she declared. "I should have you know, because I believe in a fair fight, that a contingent of mortals will soon be marching on your mountain to relieve you of your stores of adamant. They will be sorely disappointed on arrival, not because of any threat your giants could pose, but because they will find the ground unexpectedly empty. Preceding their misadventure will be the greatest story of guile, skill, agility, daring, heroism, and death that this world has seen for a thousand years, by the end of which you will become the sore butt of many a mortal and god's joke when I, Klethi, Goddess of all Probability, will be the owner of your stolen wondermetal thanks to the efforts of the most loyal protagonist, Fenris the Lucky!" She crossed her arms like she expected an answer, but whatever Ulm's response would have been she wasn't patient enough to wait for. "Even now I bet he is slaying your top commanders with nothing but his bare hands and platypus companion. What an embarrassment this must be for you, Ulm. You'll surely want to crush Lycaon's daughter to relief the sudden rage and depression that will be overcoming you with this loss." She nodded triumphantly. "Don't say I didn't warn you. But it's hard to prevent Fenris from achieving something, even when his own Goddess is betraying his secret plan to his enemy. Go ahead. Go back to your mountain right now. Find it emptied of all its riches."

After the departure of 2 of his court Lycaon decided to agree to Areirsyhitia's suggestion. "I hereby dismiss my court. All of those interested find a hero and make them ready. We shall form a band of heroes the likes of which haven't been seen in ages. They shall be hounds of the gods and perhaps they could do other quests in our honor based on their initial success. I will expect you to meet again in a weeks time with your champions so that they can meet each other and get used to working with one another. Now if you'll excuse me I have to convince my daughter to take part on our endeavor." As Lycaon finished this statement he got up from his throne and vanished in a shower of silver light and white feathers.

He hoped that this party of heroes an their platypus would be enough to acquire the adamant. He hadn't really talked with Nymeria for over 2 years and he was concerned with how his usually unpredictable daughter will take to her quest. He also wondered what the titan Ulm was up to and if he would be expecting some kind of party to attempt to acquire his adamant.

Aeristhatia gratefully accepted Lycaon's order and left the meeting, returning to her palace. She then set about to causing the usual trouble she did, especially with mortals. She had been watching two elven children attempting to cause mischeif. She appeared to them in the form of another child, instructing them on how to successfully carry out their prank. She gave them each a jar of powder, which she told them toto sprinkle onto the farmer's livestock late at night. She helped them only because this farmer had very much displeased her, and deserved fair punishment. She then returned to her palace to watch the scene unfold.

The children did as they were told, carrying out her instructions. The cows and sheep began growing restless, bucking and running, Bleating and mooing. They grew more rambunctious every minute. It was marvelous! The apprentice boy awoke from his sleep, running wildly to fetch the farmer from the old hut down the way. Aeristhatia laughed with sheer joy at the sight. She watched the clumsy man run towards the cattle, attempting to calm them, but to no avail. They continued to buck and kick with ferocity. Suddenly the chickens came frolicking towards the farmer, clucking and flapping their wings. This made it hard for him To pay attention to the cattle. This sent her into and uncontrollable fit of giggles. She suddenly remembered her plan to create a hero. How she hated responsibility...

She opened her palm to find a small, leathery egg, on the brink of hatching. She held it to her lips, giving it a kiss which soon turned into a chuckle as she placed the egg in a small nest next to a river. A mother beaver came waddling from the water, curling her tail around the egg. "Take good care of Mercutio, beaver. Ill need him later." She closed the window to mortality, speeding the life of little Mercutio to his adulthood. The hero was ready.

Kurn,God of Enlightenment

Now that the meeting was over Kurn let the table of food fade into nothing. He bowed to Lycaon and to everyone else before vanishing from the room.

Now in the mortal realm, Kurn's clothing has changed to a simple commoners tunic and belt with basic shoes. He kept his short white hair and youthful body as he stepped out onto the grass. Around him was a clear grassy hill overlooking a coastal town below in the valley to Kurn's north. He made his way on foot down into the town and pulled up the hood sown to his tunic up over his head. He quickly found his destination, a tavern called 'The Flying Fish'.

Inside this tavern Kurn sat in a corner and waited for the bar maiden to come take his order. He asked for a cup of tea and gave her more than enough money to cover it. There he relaxed for the next hour, enjoying the conversations and merriment in the tavern as he sipped at his tea and absorbed the attitude of those in the room.
