Religion. A touchy subject for most. Oftentimes, the following of deities and faiths result in arguments, conflicting freedom rights, and, in large cases, crusades (I've yet to see a recent crusade. I think it'd be interesting). And, like all touchy subjects, the best way to diffuse the tension is to parody it outright. Well. Maybe parody is a strong word.
Whatever word you choose to use, Pantheon is about you stepping into the shoes of a god. You are followed by people (yes, those little ants down there are people) and their belief fuels your power. This power you can use to both assist your people in their daily lives or smite the followers of other gods to further deplete their power. The point isn't really to outright eliminate other deities, but, plain and simple, people like conflict.
So, as a god (or goddess), you will be battling three fronts. Firstly, you will be battling to keep your people believing in you, and thus fueling you with power. Second, you will be battling those who wish to see you destroyed. And third, you will be battling the Darkness, a peculiar power that is rising throughout the world of Terra.
So, on that note, off. You are to begin your adventure as a god and progress through the rankings of godship. The overall point is, of course, to have fun. So go forth and do your bidding across the land.
