Summary:

On the year 2026, A announcement for the virtual reality game “Heine Online” was made. It was the first of its kind and rather lived up to peoples expectations when it hit Alpha process of release on 2028. Coming the year 2029 with the success from the Alpha. The beta phases began shortly after being open to the public only granting the very last session and week saved progress. Graphics stood out, game mechanics worked perfectly yet there was a dark idea being made among the team developing it. The lead developer Omata Tsukari was the only one who stayed behind devising, altering the mechanics yet didn't provide any information to his company. Upon release in 2030, he gave a grand smile to the public and with open arms invited everyone into the new sensation of the MMO world.

It has been only but a month in the game and everyone is having fun exploring, leveling, or achieving goals. Yet suddenly on a midnight, A patch had come out known as 1.20X... People were unaware of the situation occuring yet they did find it odd for such a time. As asked they logged out and installed the patch... Once they returned to the beautiful world they knew... They were trapped and unable to log out. All that was given was a message from the “System”. It all started like the normal letter that any patch gave for their games explaining new content but it turned to be something darker...

Patch: 1.20X

Enhanced your senses in the game.

Given balance to all classes stats

8 New Dungeons placed..

UI settings updated.....

Log out button/function removed...

NPC interaction increased...

A note from the admin: “Thank you subscribers for taking part in Heine Online... I do apologize any inconvenience this may cause but I have removed your function to log out, As you may have read this patch has increased your senses … to the point to where you will die outside if you die here. The new dungeons I have placed will be your only escape, 8 keys are at the end of each dungeon... know they will not reset yet... and they will not be easy... Once all 8 keys are collected, You must go to the holy cathedral and place them among the statue and only then will you finally be able to escape the world... My motives are simple yet I will not explain it to you unless you make it out...”

After players logged in to read this message, they found the words to be true only to try to log out and fail. Some committed suicide, some decided to take on the challenge yet others plan to stay in the city. Knowing Pkers are out there, its a lot easier getting away with murder... What will you do... Many people in town are banding together raising their guilds to begin conquering the 8 dungeons of the game. Solo players are doing there best as well, some have gotten further then guilds have but theirs only so much you can do as a solo especially as the game progresses and gets to be dangerous....

Roleplayers... Know that GM communications have been cut off (due to the Gms being disabled upon patch release).

For those who come in after the Roleplay starts!

Current Dungeon/arc:: Dungeon 1
Current Week since release: 4(6 for beta Testers)
Currently Accepting Beta-Testers: None

If you're a late entry or finally decide to join the Roleplay, I first suggest you look at the "plot update" tab in the OOC so you know where we are and where we stand. I will be updating this information each time we beat a dungeon or when a serious plot point comes along. Information that you will need to know is that your character WILL NOT have taken part in any dungeons/boss battles or if a main guild that too. Sadly enough you will have to write a longer character history so your character can be caught up to the game this is only normal, you saying two weeks of history while the game has been out for 7 weeks (example) would be rediculous because you're trapped here... there really is no breaks. HOWEVER, depending on the week will be an addition D6 roll for your level... for example if we're 6 weeks. I'll roll the die 6 times to get your starting level... In addition, I'll add a additional 3-6 levels if we completed a dungeon. Know those 6 rolls also will be addition gold money too.. One last thing is that know I will not always be accepting Beta testers... depending on what the ratio is.. I want normal players too...

--How much of what we have currently--
I'm only allowing one of each class – Know we don't need 10 people for this RP – I just don't want to see too much of one class. I would like at least one of each..

Before we accept doubles of a class we're looking for those that aren't taken!

Knight: 0/2
Fighter: 1/2
Plainswalker: 1/2
Wizard: 1/2
Cleric: 1/2

---Personality---
Describe your personality and be as descriptive as you can. Explain what the character feels about the game, players, what he/she likes outside of the game. Perhaps your character expresses more inside the game or has a different personality that is hidden in the real world.

---Background---
Describe your character's background, what he or she did before being trapped in the game.

Beta Tester Yes or No? By the way, I expect a full character history with details if you're a beta tester/player...  Remember you had six weeks of playing, “DO NOT” say you got a high level or something like that. Just explain your process and progress of what you did during the beta phase and the month in detail. That will determine your level I give you...  If your not a beta tester, say how long you have been playing whether it be one day up to four weeks. Remember I'll be expecting a good summary if you're a beta tester. Note - all of this should go under "Character History"

Current Location: For new characters you will start in "Heide" as for Beta testers or players who have been here for the two weeks... choose a city and explain what you were doing here in character history. No one will start in Edelon just due to that place being undiscovered so far.

Cities Visited: New players just put Heine... As for those who've been here as far as you can go is Tyr.

Name:

Gender:

Guild: (New players must skip this as for others you can be a guild leader if you get a level above 15 other then that you can join a guild thats already made. You can make up a guild name for rp wise and join one of the roleplayer's guilds later for plot)
Guild Position: Basically if you've reached a level higher then 15, then you can be a guild leader, if not you could be vice (depending if the one who owns the guild wants that) or just a normal member.

Gold: I'll calculate this myself by rolling a die for each week you're here. I then add the results and x It by 250. If you're new then you start with 0 but remember there a bigger benefits then those who start with levels/gold.

Class:
Weapon:

Level: Unless you're new leave this blank. If you've been here for among the two weeks or were a beta tester adding an additional week. Explain what you were doing during that time. I myself will determine if you really earned so much levels. the way I give my levels at least the beginning is by rolling my die I'll explain this upon reviewing your character. If you choose to roll a new player - there will be benefits you will get that others wont just because you've chosen a newer character.

For abilties you can be creative but follow the classes criteria. In example although knight and Marauder may have similarities in, I don't want to see a knight having a ton of damaging abilities when they're more like tanks.. Hence the stats, Mauraders are the heavy damage dealers although Knights can have a few damaging abilities.  Same for Marauders with some defensive tactics... Magic can not be used with Marauders, Knights can have minor abilities but remember spell damage is calculated by Int  and healing/defensive magic is Mind. Defensive skills are vitality/strength as damaging skills are usually Strength and Agility. Range attacks depend on more agility then strength Overall just remember to keep to your character... I'm sorry if you dislike calculations but playing a Roleplay that takes place inside a MMO, there needs to be stats (although they usually will only take place in major battles like boss battles in the tower or so).

If you're new unless you want to give a brief explanation of what you have done thus far for the first time logging in - you can leave it blank.

[i] THEME SONG (Optional)

Classes

Code: Select all
Knight – Knights are Heine Online's tanks so to speak. They mostly use defensive tactics to battle and are never to aggressive. They naturally have better survivability then the other classes yet are never as vicious and destructive in attacks as Marauders can be. Some times Knights can also be seen as magical fighters, having very minor and low abilities that use magical statics.

Strength: 12 + 3 per level
Vitality: 14 + 3.2 per level
Agility: 4 + 1 per level
Mind: 6 + 1.2 per level
Intelligence: 4 + 1 per level

Fighter – Marauders are basically the heavy damage dealers, These classes can go two ways... having strength and agility as the primary and secondary they can be seen with heavy weapons or dual blades. Some even prefer using just one – one handed sword but it all depends on the character... Weapons can vary and does not have to be a sword.

Strength: 12 + 3 per level
Vitality: 10 + 2.2 per level
Agility: 10 + 2.2 per level
Mind: 4 + 1 per level
Intelligence: 4 + 1 per level

Plainswalker – Plainswalkers is the stealth class of the game. Often they're shown to be the best archers and dagger users most making them to be the best assassins. Although depending on the character they're seen to be the fastest characters on their feet and often have a more dexterous ability in dual-wielding compared to SOME marauders. Interestingly next to the cleric, they're the only ones who can use a bow... However Plainswalkers of course have further abilities then Cleric does.  In additon to all of this, Plainswalkers MAY have one pet as a loss of a skill.

Strength: 8 + 2 per level
Vitality: 8 + 2 per level
Agility: 12 + 3 per level
Mind: 4 + 1 per level
Intelligence: 8 + 2 per level

Wizard – In Heine Online, Wizards vary with many skill trees but one must remember they are not clerics... Therefore have VERY low healing abilties if they take them up. Wizards often focus on elemental magic or go into summoning, perhaps even supportive enchantments. Yet only remember that As a wizard they're not clerics. Often this class uses Staffs, Wands and Books as their weapon, rarely may you see a wizard holding a sword and even then its usually for magical purposes.

Strength: 2 + .5 per level
Vitality: 6 + 1.2 per level
Agility: 6  + 1.2 per level
Mind: 10 + 2.2 per level
Intelligence: 16 + 4 per level

Cleric – As spoken about Wizards, Clerics do not do powerful offensive magics but they do incredible defensive ones. Often if in the offensive clerics tend to have less power but have benefits when they attack that may/may not help the group. Be careful with getting your skills set... balancing may become an issue if you take this route. As explained before Clerics can use bows, although not near as powerful as a Plainswalker with the weapon, Clerics can use magical to enhance their shot or add effects to aid them or the group.

Strength: 4 + 1 per level
Vitality: 8 + 2 per level
Agility: 4 + 1 per level
Mind: 14 + 3.2 per level
Intelligence: 10 + 2.2 per level

Reika

Fighter (30)

EXP: 2/20

Gold: 2020

The Valley Capital: Tyr – Shi's Guild Base

Game Time: 12:10 A.M

After appearing at first as a flash of light, Reika opened the lids of her eyes revealing her blue eyes to the dark scenery. She inhaled before releasing the air as a sigh before looking around to see if anyone was around and as expected there wasn't. The fighter had sent a private message to her personal elites so they would meet her here and was sure to clear out anyone who could over here them in the game. It was to her personal choice that she didn't trust the entire guild because she wasn't always the one who recruited and often her elites did for their own squads. Reika, herself only had only three people in her squad which even then weren't always with her because she'd dismiss them. The woman gave one more glance around the room this time only looking around her in thought only to turn towards her destination after blinking. It was then when she began walking down the wooden hall of what looked to be a japanese temple. Her footsteps echo'd through the halls as there wasn't any noise or voices coming from the area at least from position. Her hands formed a fist only tightening with every foot she covered. If you were close to the woman you would be able to the a serious expression being formed upon her face. This could only indicate that something was bothering her.

As she approached the main hall, her squad was outside of the room only to kneel without saying a word yet they received no words in response too she only walked passed them opening the doors to a rectangle table with five chairs, two on the sides which were filled and one on the end obviously being Reika's chair. As she walked passed them without saying anything the members followed their leader with their eyes. Until a red haired girl Plainswalker spoke in a rather serious tone.

“Lady Reika... you rarely send us a message to meet like this... I'm going to guess that this is about the message..?” The girl said leaning forward with her arm upon the table. Reika only nodded as she began to pull her chair out to begin sitting. A man beside the red haired girl with white hair sighed, placing his hand that was covered in a dark gauntlet upon the table. He looked around and then to the Reika who had just sat down placing her elbows upon the table and cupped her arms together. He didn't wait to express himself.

“I'm not buying it! Look this is probably just an introduction to the new patch adding onto the game's story. I refuse to believe any of this crap...”

Reika gave a light chuckle before speaking. Her eyes directed onto her elite without blinking.

“Have you actually tried logging out?”

“No – you know me, I don't log out until one. I personally don't intend to log out until then so Im not going to check just because of a small letter like that. All they were was patch notes that adds a little flavor to the game” The man replied only to hear a reply from the woman in front of him.

“You're quite foolish... and perhaps afraid to act so tough yet not check the one thing that could confirm such a situation.”

The man looked over to purple haired girl who was looking at him with red eyes. The knight grunted towards her comment and began to speak against before being cut off by Reika.

“Listen, the function has disappeared, I am not sure what is going on but that.... is truly the least of my worries. If what the patch notes say are true...” The woman paused closing her eyes before bringing her hands up to her chin. “Then we're going to have to disband our assassination service and stop all Pking in our guild. We'll be branded as murderers even if no one would find out in reality.”

Everyone around the table including a shadowed man looked towards her in surprise except the purple haired woman who seemed to already expect such actions to be taken.

“I refuse” said a deep voiced man who sat next to her. “That is my division and you know it's what we started out being at first. How could you, stop such a division which our guild revolves so much around? You know, all I think that really happened is the senses increased but not to a painful extent.

Reika grinned before raising out of her chair having it fall onto the floor backwards. She then brought her hand in front of her face only to have her kunai appear before everyone. She then leaned over to the man with the eyes as if one intended to kill.

“Perhaps we shall do a test!”

The man stayed strong and nodded.

“Do it, I probably wont feel too much of a difference then what I already do”

Everyone watched wondering what their leader would do in such a situation, their eyes only blinking a few times. Reika smiled before striking her member across the chest and then stabbing him in the shoulder and in response the man gave a cry out before curling his upper body reaching up to his left shoulder grabbing it. The man looked at her with anger.

“Y-You bitch!” He growled before raising from his chair bringing out his weapon. He looked at her wanting to attack but he knew he'd die in one on one combat against his leader.

“I wont disband my division...” He said walking out of the room angrily.

The purple haired woman chuckled before clapping seeing the strength of their leader again.

“I do believe that gives us an answer... but what will we do about him, If he kills in the name of our guild this could be trouble...”

Reika only watched in silence as the man growled until she couldn't hear him.The weapon was then sheathed disappearing from her hand. She placed her hand against the table and looked at the other members. The white haired man stood up and walked out without saying anything. Perhaps disappointed in the actions that Reika took or just another way of showing denial.

“I do believe those two are going to cause some trouble for us... you two being the only ones around, I'm going to make this brief – I still haven't confirmed if the death part is true but this display that I have made has given us a answer about the pain of the game.” Reika said before looking at the two characters. Her blue eyes scanned among the two of them before speaking once more landing her eye contact on the red headed plainswalker.

“I need you to get more information... If our reputation or if our guild's assassination service ceases to stop... I may disband us...”

The purple haired girl squinted looking towards Reika.

“And what of me...? Shall I place spy upon the those two 'elites'?” She asked.

“No... I want to see what they do on their own... we may end up having to hunt our own.. Anyways this meeting is dismissed... Koto, go back to your position however... be sure to not let any suspicious activity slide if you see it” Reika said before walking out towards the exit and shortly after departing from her two members. The fighter had been confronted by her to guards being asked if they shall accompany her but she shook her head.

“I want you two to leave my side and go on your own.” She said before walking away. The two silently looked at each other wide eyed. It was official that she was now on her own. Reika knew what she was doing the moment that the patch notes were sent to her and found that she couldn't log out thirty minutes ago. She closed her eyes thinking of her reality and figured it would be best to go back to the city or perhaps even head to the dungeon herself. To be quite honest she had no patience to wait for anyone to be brave especially after thirty minutes of since this tragedy began. People may be traumatized. It wasn't that she slightly wasn't but she had no time to stand around. As she approached the guild's wave gate. She was automatically teleported into their city, Tyr. She smirked wondering where to start first she could only figure that Heide would be a good place to start.

Game Time: 12:45 A.M

As Reika wandered through Tyr she could feel only but a gently breeze that carried the scent of flowers and the smell of her pipe that she occasionally took out to smoke which being an item, it of course only lasted 30 seconds. Her footsteps was heard stepping against the ground as she moved. Her eyes remained forward not changing their direction. The woman's expression was serious yet at the same time calm yet this was only because she was thinking. It only came to mind that her best bet would be to go straight Heide and start from their, perhaps exploring each area to find the dungeons but she wondered.

“How much could I do alone...?”

As the brawler walked in the direction of the wave gate she couldn't help but feel a bit of relaxation by the visuals of the town. A town that is always starlit unlike Heine or Odin. It was interesting to her but at the same time being 12:45, which was only fifteen minutes from her usual time of going to bed on weekdays due to her job made her feel a little tired which she suddenly noticed. Why was she feeling a little exhausted as if sleep was getting to her? Naturally the woman would be in bed but being unable to log off and the sudden information – she felt a little adrenaline to stay up. Upon these thoughts she suddenly arrived at the wave gate located in the center of town in a garden-like area. She walked up slowly before looking around her. No one in her sight. Her hand rose up and touched the portal feeling it slightly vibrate upon it.

She then closed her eyes and spoke the words exactly and calmly.

“The Plains Capital: Heide”

Reika suddenly began to become covered in a flash of light before teleporting away in a second.

The Whispering Plains.

Game Time: 12:45 A.M

Danielle sat upon one of the large branches that extended from a sizable oak tree that was positioned just outside of the Heide capital within The Whispering Plains. Between her fingertips was a small creased letter that explained the patch notes in detail. Regardless of the perturbing aspects, she was quite certain this was some method of merely frightening the players, but when she attempted to remove herself from the game to prove this theory, only errors occurred and were displayed. With relative disorientation, she leaped from the branch to the ground, her bare feet gracing the warm grass. She rubbed her eyes and pulled herself together, trying to deliberate clearly. Perhaps someone within the capital could explain the exact details of this patch. It was most feasibly a temporary malfunction, she reassured herself. As she reached the voluminous cathedral like walls that surrounded the capital, she could hear the distant sounds of screaming and battle. This couldn't be correct, it was generally rather peaceful with exception of a few circumstances. Once she stepped around the entrance, she couldn't believe her eyes.

Dead bodies were scattered everywhere across the roads outside of the city, as if god himself struck the vicinity down. As she tended to some of the corpses, attempting uncover some pulse of life, she was distracted by the abrupt, diminutive earthquakes and change of wind deriving from the nearby forest. There was certainly some form of contention or altercation occurring further down the main road. Running through the shrouded bushes against her most conducive judgement, all she could perceive were frightened players absconding from the area as the battle, or should I say, massacre had taken place. Unable to log-out and too paranoid to commit suicide, the players outside the capital began eradicating each other, killing the weaker civilians and bystanders in the process. Danielle was stronger than the contending players as most of them had joined no more than a week previous, but did not wish to engage. This was simply frivolous.

As she began to back out, a large knight adorned with corroded, iron armor launched a wave of concussive energy at her from his exceptionally large sword, deconstructing the ground where she was standing. If she had not leaped at the last second, she would have received considerable damage. "Oh dear..." she expressed, leaping up into the trees, attempting to escape his consecutive waves. "What is everyone's problem?" she exclaimed, landing upon the ground at the edge of the forest and assuming her bow. "Binary Singularity!" she exclaimed, firing an arrow that quickly separated into two bursts of luminescent energy that illuminated the dark path, striking the knight and sending him into fatigue as she proceeded to turn and elude across the shaded path, entering Heide and running towards the central of the capital. Assuredly, someone would understand what exactly was transpiring.

Reaching the center of the capital city, she discerned an exceedingly large number of users assembling together in an uproar. Scratching her head behind her blonde hair, she stared at the group. "Oh dear..."

Reika

Fighter (30)

EXP: 4/20

The Plains Capital: Heide

Game Time: 1:05 A.M

Reika opened her eyes as soon as she arrived in Heide. Her eyes were revealed once again to the outside only to hear a few gasp and whispers from other players when she arrived. Her eyes moved to them only for a second before examining the surroundings. Kingdom's Square of Heide... where most newbies would gather, party up and quest... Now It was the grounds of a sad sight most characters curled up traumatized from the letter. Others just talking among themselves about how they wouldn't go outside of Heide due to the danger of getting killed. The conversations held only minor interest to her. For now it was the city that held the thoughts of her mind as she finally began to take footsteps away from the Wave Gate. The players who spoke and were afraid of her appearance spoke as she began to leave.

“I sure do wonder we'll survive... especially if people assign begin assigning Shi on each other.” The female said. This made her stop and slightly look back at them. It was as if they wanted her to hear this. Even when stopping obviously they heard her footsteps come to an halt and the male spoke clearly.

“I don't know – What If she were to take a different approach now that the game became a reality. If that guild is decides to continue Pking and doing it for coin... We'll really need to be on our guard especially if they want to keep Pking as if it were a sport or perhaps... They will become tyrancle... and she... is the empress...”

Reika's head turned slightly before letting out a deep sigh before moving onward. The brawler didn't like the words that the man said but what he spoke did strike a good point. Her guild did hold a lot of power in this game whether by fear or respect and they did have quite a bit in services for this world regardless if they were dark or not however.. Now that events have turned as such there was seconds thoughts on her mind. As the lady walked through the city her eyes squinted as she remembered her elite. The man who seemed to lust for blood yet the true motive may have been power and this could not go by. Reika wasn't going to jump straight to conclusions though. The woman finally came to a stop placing her hands on her hips and looked into the sky.

“Damn...” Reika said in a whisper. The fighter's eyes suddenly shifted slowly towards the south only to widen as her eyes met a unfamiliar sight. A large tower poking out from a far as it was obvious that it towered over the city. The warrior blinked as she then turned her body to re-align herself. Her hands went to her hips and suddenly a grin appeared. She then stretched her upper body and began to walk towards Kingdom's Square.

Game Time: 1:15 A.M

When she finally made it to Heide's Central Square she noticed the uproar of people and also realized it was more packed then usual. Many people stopped to take a look at the leader of assassination and PK among them in fear. Some of the players whispered among themselves and others continued talking and yelling in fear. It was a troublesome sight. She walked too a build and leaned against the wall looking to see if anyone was recognizable but none stood out until she noticed a blonde haired girl (Danielle) scratching her head as she watched it all. To Reika she thought this girl may have an ok mindset and put her finger to her lips as if she were holding something. Only shortly after did her 30 second pipe appear. It was only interesting that just now she realized that she could taste and smell the smoke in the air. This made her chuckle only for a moment only to refocus upon the blondy in front of her. She just wasn't sure what to do – she was going to the tower dungeon either way but... did she really want to go alone..? what are the possibilities of death in the dungeon... The risk were high now. The only reason she didn't trust going with her guild is because they are all assassins... and a time like this... especially after what she heard from that player is putting her on edge. All Reika found herself doing was looking at the scene and then specifically to the girl in thought.

Qualthor

Cleric(28)

EXP:2/10

Gold:1020

The Highland capital: Odin

Game time: 12:00 A.M.

Odin was in an uproar. Or at least a kind of uproar, all around NPC’s were continuing about their normal tasks but the players weren’t engaging with them as readily as before. The normal light heartedness of the city had turned bitter, almost tangible. People cast looks around as though unsure of what to do, many low level players demanding answers from those of a higher level. It was obvious by the way everyone moved about that no one had any answers; if they did people would be gathered around that person and not so spread out as they hunted for clues. Qualthor observed all this as he entered the city from the Highlands, his eyes searching for any large group at all. More than a few people looked his way as he entered but none moved towards him luckily, he himself had no answers to give and being asked for some would just prove his point even more.

The message had been delivered earlier, the couple of lines that had sent the game world into a bit of a spiral. Qualthor had immediately tried to log out when he read this, he didn’t understand the full implications of it at first but he had known well enough to judge the truth off of that one simple fact. Since he couldn’t log out, he had to assume that it was the truth. He had tried to contact a game master or an administrator but was unable, a fact that made sense if the people running the game had suddenly decided to mess with the players. He needed information though, and that was what had led him to leave his normal adventuring and return to the city, information was more valuable than anything else right now.

The first thing he did once he was in Odin was look up a friend of his, a contact he knew that served as a rather good information broker. A profitable business in his opinion, you were selling a good that people needed and you could sell it over and over again without having to do anything more than wait for a buyer to approach you. A very agreeable relationship and one that he had taken advantage of more often than he could count. Qualthor moved through the city, shooing aside people who tried to talk to him as he made his way towards a player with the name of Kamerann. For whatever reason Kamerann had made his character short, perhaps the shortest character Qualthor had ever seen in game. He was glad in loose black robes and his face gave him the appearance of an old sage, the perfect look for someone trading information. With a smile Qualthor stood in front of him, a small glimmer of hope that he would have all the answers he needed in but a moment.
Game time: 12:50 A.M.

Qualthor stood in the middle of Odin now, people rushed by him in a rush but all he could do was stand there. He looked down at his hand, the way it seemed to be shaking. It took him a second to realize it wasn’t his hand that was shaking; or rather it wasn’t just his hand. His entire body was shaking, his mind was numb at this point and he couldn’t bring himself to stop it. For the first time in a long time fear blossomed inside of him, blossomed is the best way to describe it since it had wormed its way inside of him since he had gotten that message. Now though the fear was alive, filling him as he tried to figure out what to do. He didn’t even know how long he had stood there, it seemed like he had only spoken to Kamerann for two seconds when he had learned the two most valuable things of all, the first being that no one was able to log out and the second being that no one who had been killed since the patch had returned or been heard from. From what he could tell, death was death.

People probably thought he was insane now, Qualthor standing in the middle of the street shaking. Suddenly though he couldn’t help it. A laugh erupted from him, a laugh that just wouldn’t stop. He had finally gotten just what he wanted, a good challenge, a good game and a chance to be considered something more than a kid. He had gotten just what he wanted, and so much more. As the laughter ended, not abruptly but rather seeming to drift off into nothingness of silence, Qualthor moved. A more purposeful step to his stride as he made his way to the wave gate. He wansn’t okay with what was happening right now, on the contrary he was more than a little freaked out by it. What he did know though was that he needed information, he needed to know what to do or else he wouldn’t survive. The best place to get info, and probably the best dungeon to start with was in one place.

As he reached the wave gate he stretched out his hand and calling out in a shaky voice. “The Plains Capital: Heide” As light filled his eyes as the normal move from place to place started he had only one thought. “At least it’s not raining. It could always be worse, worse than being stuck in a game where a lot of people regularly kill each other and where a large number of powerful monsters are more than willing too also. At least it’s not raining.”

Danielle

Plainswalker (18)

EXP (4/10)

Gold: 3010

The Plains Capital: Heide

Game Time: 1:15 A.M

Danielle was certainly inquisitive as to what the commotion was regarding, though she wished to more precisely hear it rather than listen to a distorted conveyance of utter shouting. Everyone appeared considerably frightened and scared from the circumstances, though it was within her nature to remain collected, even throughout this predicament. It was not surprising they would express belligerence from the patch that was received and it only consolidated her fears further. She did not wish to sincerely believe she was trapped within the universe, but it would appear there was simply no other alternate explanation for the events that have transpired, especially her inability log-out. She decided to approach to the crowd and perhaps receive some answers or perhaps a point in the correct direction, though she earnestly doubted they could assist her with the latter. Still, she maintained optimism or most predominantly; hopeful anticipation that they might.

As she proceeded to the crowd, she was forced to cease movement and grab her foot, noticing she had accidentally sprained her ankle during her extrication from the choleric Knight. "Ouchies." she expressed, reaching down to her ankle to massage it gently. She did not damage it too excessively but gave a regretful stare at no one in particular. This all could have been effortlessly avoided had she not pursued her inquisitive disposition.

She stumbled over to a grandiose fountain carved from fortified stone that was erected around the middle of the town square, dipping her foot in as she sighed pleasantly, gazing at the copious quantities of stars that pervaded throughout the night sky. Normally, she would have reveled in this view if it were not for the abhorrent shouting around her. She chuckled to herself, realizing she could still procure solace from the stars throughout even the most precarious situations. Holding her hand out, the letter that contained the notes materialized within her palm. She perused through the ominous notes once more, examining the details regarding the dungeons and keys more meticulously.

"8 dungeons and consequently 8 keys. Oh dear..." she spoke to herself under her breath. She had a startling fear that most of these dungeons would require her to be much more formidable then she currently was. Attempting a significant quantity of quests to achieve a higher level would not be ideal as it would require much more time than she was permitted. It would seem her most conducive solution would be to pursue a group or partner that she could traverse these inexplicable dungeons with. Traveling alone would not be expedient and certainly not advantageous, but where could she find someone still sane and willing to assist her, or rather her assist them in this fool's endeavour?

Game Time: 1:25 A.M

After a few minutes of soaking and massaging, she pulled out of the fountain and prepared her bow and quiver of arrows upon her back while stretching, yawning before catching glare with a purple haired warrior (Reika) that was standing across the plaza, observing the substantial group of players spread across the town square.

After a moment of looking back and forth their gazes had met. Reika could only do a slight grin before lifting herself from the wall. Her arms rose to the air as she stretched for a moment. Her head was tilted to the side as it reached a good point to relax and with that she winked before finally deciding to step forward and begin walking to the blond girl. As she walked towards her she allowed her left arm to hang as her right palm sat onto her hip and smiled once she got close. Her eyes were locked on this girl whom she headed to alone excluding everyone else. The woman had finally figured out what she was going to do... She wasn't a cleric but none-the-less it was someone with the correct mindset to do these challenges. She rose her hand forming a peace sign with her fingers with a grin before speaking.

“Yo” Reika said said before activating the menu to see whom she was and what her character information came to be. She finally came to a stop as her eyes went side to side reading down the list of information to herself only to say the parts which were important to her.

“Ah – Level 18 Plainswalker... I see – I think you will have to do compared to those we have before us” She said closing the information screen in front of her face. Before looking down examining the character's outter appearance.

“So... Danielle – Are you willing to join me outside and take on the dungeon?” She asked slightly cheerful. Reika wasn't quite sure what the woman's reaction would be but it was indeed that she had gotten one fron others who over heard and knew of her. One whispered slightly loud to another player. Her eye shifted towards the guy as she listened in.

“Is she contracted to kill this girl... Even at a time like this...?” the man with a pike said to a man. The one he spoke to noticed Reika's glare and decided not to answer. The fighter shook her head only to look back at the girl in front of her.

Danielle stared at the purple haired lady who approached her. Surreptitiously observing her information, she noticed she was much a higher level character, capable of relatively effortlessly disposing of her. She appeared amiable, but Danielle was more concerned as to why such a clearly advanced person would wish to request her assistance in dungeons of this magnitude. As her gaze was locked into her eyes, she noticed them shift to the crowd and heard those that spoke of her. The information she perceived wasn't exactly favorable. Of course Danielle was safe within the capital of the city, she was curious if this was some deceptive tactic to assassinate her. Clearly, she wasn't quite partial to being assassinated.

"Why should I trust you?" she inquired with a tone of suspicion, crossing her arms and legs infront of her as the fountain softly emanated a gentle mist across them. "I haven't the slightest clue as to who you are, Reika." The whispers and hushed voices of those staring further perturbed her as Reika stood above her. Danielle wasn't a cynical or mistrusting person, but the game has been changed and we've been dealt different cards.

Of course, Danielle was desperate and someone this more advanced could provide exceptional assistance, especially considering the numerous player killers that pervaded throughout the outside of the cathedral walls that surrounded Heide. She sincerely wished to trust her, but she required something concrete. Simply departing with a plausible assassin wasn't the most intelligent move, considerably so within these circumstances.

Reika smirked to only to rest along side the fountain sitting down cross legged as she looked up to the girl. Observing her facial expression. It was obvious that there were going to be a bit of trust issues but to the woman this wasn't really the time to not trust each other especially when their lives are at stake. Of course Reika did know she would let off this atmosphere being a leader of terror. She placed her right hand on her knee and pointed to herself before speaking as her eyes locked onto Danielle's.

“I'm not your enemy. You can believe what you want and I understand why you may not exactly trust me here but you in fact should be aware that before I was merely a player doing what I want and achieving my personal goal...now, we're facing a challenge in which may bring about the end of it all and I must bring my morals into this world to survive. You should know this” Reika said looking up to the blond with her blue eyes. She could feel the mist flow across her face as she did. A smile grew across her face before pointing behind her towards the south where anyone would see the tower.

“That is my destination regardless If I get a yes or no out of you. I'm doing this... because I have to go back. This isn't my life or world I can only allow it being a hobby”

The two players who were listening rolled their eyes and walked off obviously not believing her. One snickered saying that the rumors of Reika were true. She herself wondered what that was suppose to mean. She didn't always check the rumors that revolved around her guild because as rumors go there is only a slight chance they are true.

Danielle considered Reika's words carefully as she spoke, examining the solemn expression upon her face. She spoke sincerity and it was exceedingly earnest. It would be a gratuitous mistake to sacrifice her true world for this fabricated universe. Regardless, the trust issues were still quite prominent and she knew she would have difficulty assuming trust with her, but this was the most conducive scenario that has been presented and she could be regarded as unwise not to take this opportunity. She pressed her feet against the cold stone ground and tightened her quiver's string across her chest as she stood up.

"I may very well be sacrificing my own life by trusting you, but I currently see no other alternative." she said, stretching and rolling her ankle as she returned her stare back to Reika. "If you're sincere regarding this alliance, then I will express the same sentiment. Survival takes precedence and I have a terrible premonition that a sedimentary method in this safe zone will provide that conclusion." she stated, brushing her bangs out of her eyes with her hand.

Danielle kneeled down slightly, to launch herself into a back-flip through the air, landing precisely upon the top of the fountain, staring at the entirety of the voluminous tower she was pointing at. She tilted her head as she did not recollect it being there before. "I do not quite remember that structure being there. I must have disregarded that view on my way in. This designation is the first dungeon I presume?" she inquired, looking down at Reika.

Reika listened well and nodded with understandment towards Danielle's words. It was clear that they seemed to understand each other. Her blue eyes were upon her until she could hear other parties suddenly shaking off the idea of suddenly going out once they heard this. Some claimed that Danielle was just making things easy but Reika just tuned them out. The fighter watched the plainswalker flip onto the top of the fountain and smirked as she noticed her expression. It was obvious this was the first time she has seen the tower.

"I do not quite remember that structure being there. I must have disregarded that view on my way in. This designation is the first dungeon I presume?

Reika clapped twice before moving her hand down against the ground before pushing herself to her two feet. She stretched once more before pulling out her thirty second pipe and watched it light itself ready to be smoked. Immediately she pressed it against her lips and inhaled enough to blow out a thick cloud of smoke from her nose being quiet. It was only immediately that she pressed the pipe to her lips again with a nod to the girl's question before blowing out the smoke normally. Her pipe then disappeared from her fingers but the fingers remained in position. Her eyes lowered down to her hand which descended down to her hips. Reika then tilted her head up to Danielle with a smile as she spoke.

“We'll head there.. and clear it out but... I'd like to get this cleared... I'm not used to being this fatigued and I feel like it's affecting how my character's movements are if you haven't noticed that yourself... we may have our attributes but I feel like I can actually get fatigued especially when using SP attacks as if it was draining energy”

After saying that she once again brought up the character options for Danielle and invited her to a party.

<Reika has just invited Danielle to her party>

“There I just sent you the party request... By the way, How is it outside of the capital? I mean it's chaos in these areas but I wonder how everyone is outside especially newbies who just started” She said looking into the girl's eyes. This did come into her mind, she has yet to be outside since this occurred and as powerful as she and the guild she was in were she still was cautious how blood thirsty or crazed players would be. In her own way she was a little worried.

"I plan to go straight to the dungeons without battling but I have a strange feeling that we'll be confronted by unwanted attention" she then chuckled and spoke in a jokingly tone "Or perhaps they will see me and flee immediately without a second glace"

Danielle's scintillating green eyes scrutinized the immense fortification, examining how removed it was from their current location and the approximate time it would take to traverse there on foot. Considering it's proximity from the spawn point, it was most likely comprised of low level creatures, though that was merely conjecturing. "It is positioned on the outer rim of The Whispering Plains. If we're lucky, we will receive diminutive retaliation from the forces inside." she spoke, transposing to sedimentary position upon the fountain as she stared back down at Reika as she smoked from her pipe.

"I can only account for a certain circumference around the capital, but it would appear a preponderance of the players have unleashed fury outside of the walls. Several corpses envelop the roads around the western gate from an altercation from a few player killers. I sprained my ankle attempting to extricate myself from one of their onslaughts as I approached the gate from the outside." she explained, pointing towards the gate with her thumb. "If I'm correct, a collective of a higher leveled players have returned to essentially decimate the younger levels, which isn't exceptionally surprising on any day." she said, with a shrug and despondent sigh as she considered that the corpses she observed were permanent.

She leaped from the fountain back to the ground where Reika stood, placing her hands on her hips. "If I recollect correctly, the note's description said our senses were enhanced to correspond with real life actions and reactions. Damage and Fatigue we receive will be just as impairing as if we were to receive it in real life." she stated, shuddering at the thought.

"Our most propitious option would be to immediately cross through the south gate and sprint to the dungeon. We will remain enshrouded for the most part within the evening darkness on our travel there, but the tower will have obviously aroused considerable suspicions, resulting in numerous groups plausibly around or within the dungeon. This is merely conjecture, though." she expressed with a hint of reluctance, biting her fingertip as she stared at the south gate.

Reika nodded to the explanation as Danielle gave her thoughts to the idea. The higher levels may be just as worried but and seeing most in town at the moment. They don't look like they have the right mindset for the dungeon. The woman scratched her head when she heard the corpses of the players in front of town and the outrage the bursted which seeme to make her uncomfortable but to express how she felt in the least she sighed.

“Their corpses will probably... despawn soon and their PC will live but they themselves will.. probably cease to ever see the real world or anything again if what the patch notes said was true...”

The girl then continued explaining what may be best and personally Reika couldn't agree more. She smiled and clapped before turning to the direction of the gate. Her eyes the moved towards the direction of the tower which only gave her an unpleasant feeling. She could only wonder to herself if they were ready. The tower was in a low level area but what about the dungeon itself...

“Well... Lets go” She said before running out towards the exit of the city.

The Whispering Plains

Game Time: 1:57 A.M

As Reika made it out the exit she inhaled through her nose smelling the nature surrounding her. To her although it wasn't as scented as Tyr was, the whispering plains place did always have fresh air but at a time like this it just seemed so polluted, perhaps not literally but it did grant an unpleasant feeling. After regaining her focus looking both ways to see where the tower was when she exited the area. South, she decided to mark this down on her map before heading that way. However, before taking the very steps she noticed the corpses despawning... and it appears the frenzy had ended but their could still be dangerous Pkers out there which meant they had to be careful.

Reika finally began to run towards their direction expecting Danielle to be right behind her and it as just as she expected on the way there, empty or so it seemed until she stopped hearing a scream from a girl.

“!!!!”

Reika stopped in her tracks turning her head towards her sides before spotting a small girl. She appeared to a wizard fighting a low level goblin, She was obviously new and was learning combat for the first time, and as a down side it was obvious she didn't read the manual to the game either casting spells/abilities is no easy subject and as a wizard, there is only so much you can do with just hitting a target with a weapon but alas everyone has been in their first battle on the game at some point and as everyone should remember, the first battle is never easy on this game. The girl screamed once more as Reika understood her clearly.

“No... I don't want to die..!”

The fighter's eyes scanned over the girl noticing her HP was only at 10% left, which was quite dangerous for a Wizard. To the fighter wasn't about to let her die at least in front of her. Had this patch not came in, she would care so much less to just let the noob die and learn from the experience but now wasn't the case. The woman's right arm reached behind her as her fingers curled as if she were grabbing something. outwards as her hand shaped as if it was holding something. Suddenly afterwards a dagger appeared. It was then that she began to run towards the two with great speed only to suddenly disappear in a red blink. She then reappeared slashing the goblin upwards(Akuma no āto: Burinkuchāji - 10% SP taken). She panted actually feeling the energy drained once she used the ability and then finally recollected herself letting the dagger disappear behind her.

“Are you ok .?”

“Y-yes.. Thank god!” She said hugging Reika's leg. Obviously she had fallen down from the last attack the goblin did to her. Quite a sad sight to the woman but at the same time she felt sorry that it it has to be at this point in time that she had decided to level. Reika wondered if she knew about the patch notes which was suddenly answered.

“I-I was just trying the game out.. got it not too long ago... I read the patch notes... but I – I don't know what I was thinking... I could feel the hits... not as hard as I imagine they were but...they still feel like they left their mark... I-”

Reika gently patted the girl's head as she knelt to her. “Don't worry... Just go back to Heide, It's not safe out here, with these monsters and Pkers. Especially at night... You need to be careful” She then lifted herself up hear the girl nod with agreement before running off. Reika watched the girl head in the correct direction towards town and then spoke outloud.

“Should we follow her..? Personally I think and hope she'll be ok but I don't know.”

Reika's words elicited a perturbed expression upon Danielle's face. It was implied, but to hear it stated so forthright was dreadfully unpleasant. Before she could respond to her declaration, Reika clapped her hands and decided that it would be advantageous to immediately depart for the daunting tower. Danielle didn't quite understand why the fighter was inclined to clap her hands before proceeding to do something, but she shrugged it off.

"I suppose-" was all Danielle could utter before the purple haired fighter began running towards the south gate. "Oh dear..." she stated, reluctantly wishing to pursue her but decided that hesitantly standing around scarcely lead to success, especially when your life is in danger. As Reika disappeared off into the distance, Danielle leaped forward, landing upon one of the market stalls and used the momentum of the elastic roof to vault herself onto the rooftops, following her throughout the capital.

As she sprinted over the rooftops, occasionally leaping to the subsequent structure, she deliberated upon this abrupt alliance she constructed with Reika. The consideration that you would sincerely expire if you were to die within the game was a frightening sentiment, though it provided her with a little more trust in Reika. It was certainly obvious everyone was experiencing this predicament and attempting to assassinate others during it would simply exacerbate the problem. But then again, there are certain people who revel in just watching the world burn. Regardless, her intentions; reliable or fallacious, would reveal themselves as soon as they reached the outside.

Game Time: 1:57 A.M

Danielle leaped from the final rooftop, softly landing next to Reika as they reached the opened southern gate to The Whispering Plains. The alluring scent of the scenic atmosphere seemed was quite enticing, though she shook her head as she realized there were more imperative tasks at hand. As they proceeded forth, Danielle drew her bow, examining their surroundings. A faint premonition seemed to plague her mind as the corpses dematerialized. The corpses signified there was certainly danger looming around, but the darkness enshrouded their view distance.

(Luminescent Vision! - 10% SP) she exclaimed under her breath, her bright green eyes beginning to glow an intense and lush green, the ability permitting her to perceive the world around her more accurately. Suddenly, she heard the scream of a young girl. Freaking out, Danielle pulled an arrow from her quiver and started pointing humorously in all directions until she realized it was a small goblin attacking a little girl. She sighed in relief as she sheathed her arrow back into her quiver, understanding Reika was currently handling the situation.

As her attacks diminished the goblin within mere seconds, Danielle watched from the side of the road as she spoke to the girl, smiling at her as she passed by her. "Your call." she spoke in response to Reika.

Reika stretched and only heard a low tone of what she said but figured it out. She took out her pipe as she continued to watch the girl disappear beyond sight and then looked towards Danielle as she took inhaled some smoke and then turned ber head to blow out the smoke in a different direction. The woman then scratched her head before speaking.

“I think … She'll be fine like I said. Lets defeat this dungeon... Once that is over we'll most likely be able to head straight for the other dungeon depending on how strong the monsters are” She grinned with excitement towards Danielle and spoke once more “I bet there is some great items that drop from there!”. It was obvious that it was only Reika trying to make the atmosphere a littl more cheerful although relaxing would be a bit scary, especially in the position that she was in. Coming out alone as Shi's guild leader... there would be tons of people to take the opportunity to kill her if they had the chance and were up for such a thing and then there was the guild itself that may soon become quite a threat to the game. Reika sighed beginning to walk towards the dungeon after her pipe disappeared. The thoughts were obviously filling up her mind but she didn't feel like Danielle needed to know but it also didn't mean she wouldn't tell had she asked. It's not like she could understand unless she were in the position herself.

Game Time: 2:22 A.M

After walking a little further into the plains they finally arrived at the large tower. Reika stopped looking up at the tower examining it's structure all the way to the top. She sighed placing a hand on her hip and letting her left arm hang. As the wind blew against her body.

“This is it and from the looks of it... It works like a spiral inside. This will probably take some time, You know you have the freedom to turn back – I won't stop you... I'm going to go inside the dungeon I don't know how the system will react but if you're teleported with me I am sur there is a way out.

Reika said with a serious tone turning toward Danielle. She didn't want someone to risk their life if they didn't want to and wanted to be sure it was what Danielle wanted. The woman then walked to the door and held her hand up to it. Suddenly two options appeared ( “Enter The Dungeon” and “Cancel”). Her finger then moved to “Enter The Dungeon” which suddenly a light appeared around each member of the party before suddenly doing the teleportation as the wave gate does. Reika's eyes closed as she teleported away.

(Reika and Danielle have been moved into the dungeon)

Danielle listened to Reika speak with feigned enthusiasm. She certainly made it sound much easier than it most likely would be, but she didn't blame her for expressing optimistic thoughts. They were preferable to have right now. Her eyes still graced with radiance, she observed their surroundings as they proceeded through the shrouded plains. There was nothing of particular interest or reason for consternation, though she always had a strange intuition that someone was examining them. The path that intersected with newly erected tower was entirely lavished with thick and abundant trees, making any starlight impenetrable, which darkened the area considerably.

As luck would have it, her luminescent vision dissipated as they approached the darkness, making accurate examinations of her surroundings almost indiscernible. As an owl hooted, Danielle shrieked but caught herself before she could alert anyone nearby, walking up closer to Reika. Danielle was terribly frightened of the dark, turning this evening stroll into a nightmare. As they finally cleared the tree laden path, she breathed a sigh of relief, basking in the starlight she adored so. From there, it was pleasantly clear path from which you could view the tower for miles upon miles.

Game Time: 2:22 A.M

Danielle wandered up to the looming tower as they arrived to the wave gate positioned directly in front, examining the intricacies of its exterior design. There seemed to be a feeling of despondence or rather, melancholy that emanated from the towering stronghold. Whether it was merely her becoming intimidated or an earnest empathic detection, she understood there was malevolence within. Even the wind that embraced Reika and her seemed to be coated with malicious intent.

“This is it and from the looks of it... It works like a spiral inside. This will probably take some time. You know you have the freedom to turn back – I won't stop you... I'm going to go inside the dungeon I don't know how the system will react but if you're teleported with me, I am sure there is a way out." Reika said with serious turning towards Danielle

"I'm just as determined as you are to conclude this travesty. Turning back now would be imbecilic." she expressed, motioning her to proceed with entrance. As Reika pressed her hand against wave gate, accepting their invitation, they were enveloped into a bright light that would teleport them into the dungeon.

Game Time: 2:30 A.M

Danielle grabbed her head, scratching the back of it as she felt a feeling of disorientation. "I've never used a wave gate like that." she remarked, recollecting herself and looking around. There was nothing but a spiraling staircase that lead into a dark abyss above. Danielle stepped behind Reika, pushing her forth. "You first."

The Tower Dungeon

When you enter the dungeon... you suddenly here a loud slam of the door behind you. Its obvious that you're in a separate zone and you figure its just game ambiance which it does for every party that joins. When your eyes open you are revealed to dark hallway at first, the ground is obviously stone as well as the walls which holds a torch every 5 foot. The hallway is about 8 foot wide yet the length that it goes to is relatively a short. At the end of the hallway you see a passage that reveals stairs that ascend. Its very quiet and a little warm inside this area. Other then a general idea... you will notices small spiders and your typical rats that scurry the floors.

As Reika opened her eyes she noticed a rat chirping near her foot only to be tapped away by the same foot before taking a few footsteps notcing no monsters on this floor yet, to her the hallway was pretty small and didn't look as though monsters would come here. Reika then turned her head hearing Danielle appear inside the dungeon.

"I've never used a wave gate like that." Danielle remarked as seemingly as if she wasn't expecting to be warped together. Reika chuckled to this patting the girl's shoulder only to realise she was beginning to move backwards. It was so sudden that she decided to go behind Reika to give her a small push and telling her to go first. Reika barely moved but smiled behind her before looking back.

“Are you afraid...?” She said in a dark tone jokingly as she began to walk forward. It wasn't that Reika wasn't but now wasn't the time to be fearsome especially when they're considered to be in the danger zone. Reika stopped as her smile slowly faded before reaching behind her and taking the girl by the hand before going forward. Reika wasn't quite sure if that was the comfort the girl needed or if she preferred it or not but saying no for her was out of the question.

Game Time: 2:32 A.M

After walking up the steps being ahead Reika suddenly froze seeing two unthinkable monsters as soon as she came onto the first floor. They stood blocking the way to the next set of stairs. Why she seemed so surprised was because the whispering plains never had undead in the normal area. Why were they here? In addition what she also wondered why they were so tall. She let go of Danielle's hand and pointed straight.

“look over there..?” Reika said examining the two skeletons who noticed their attention and moved twisting their heads around but not moving. “They obviously see us but they're bound until we get close enough. Also by the looks of them... they're rather strong, Nearly five times the normal... ” She stated before reaching back behind her like she did before making her dagger appear in her hand. She then gave a grin to her partner and ran towards the two skeletons before suddenly disappearing in a red blink. She then reappeared attempting to slash the skeleton on the right. upwards(Akuma no āto: Burinkuchāji - 10% SP taken).

Qualthor

Cleric(28)

EXP:4/10

Gold:1040

The Plains capital: Heide

Game time: 1:30 A.M.

More than a few people were worn out with what had happened, it was the first time Qualthor actually saw the Inns being used in a large number, a fact that made him worry more than a little. He leaned against a building as he glanced up and down the street, reflecting on the wealth of information he had collected in the past hour or so. The first thing that he had found out from talking too people was that more than a few people noticed themselves feeling warn out, almost as though this was the real world. Before it had been a simple thing of logging out when tired but now people were doing things from sleeping in the streets to passing out all together while in mid-sentence, not the best things to happen. For Qualthor it wasn’t as much of a problem, he had rested well enough and had only logged in a few hours earlier, it would still be a while until he was going to be needing a rest. That was what had brough him here, standing across the cluttered road from one of the quaint little inns scattered around the city. One of his contacts had pointed them out to him, a very ordinary structure that had been here since the start of the game. A structure that had little use since you could easily log out and rest normally, a structure that had no use at all. No use at all unless it was always intended for them to be trapped in the game, intended for them to be needing places to rest and sleep peacefully. This all wasn’t a spur of the moment thing or an accident, the existence of such a thing hinted at that truth at least a little bit, and this was not likely to be ending anytime soon. Qualthor gave a small sigh, his hand moving as he rubbed his temple slowly; it wasn’t almost as though he was doing it in real life. With a small grunt he pushed himself away from the wall and started walking, his feet carrying him towards the whispering planes. There was a second piece of information that he needed to know the truth of.
The Whispering Planes

Game time: 1:45 A.M.

Qualthor lifted his hand up, shading his eyes as he stared across the plains. Around his feet were the bodies of various players, already having fallen to either monsters or other players. He paid the little mind though, most of the high level players would probably be in other areas , or at least he hoped they were in other areas. What he was looking at was the tower, looming up in the distance it seemed almost as though it was something which the ground refused to except into itself. Without another sound Qualthor started off, putting one foot in front of the other as he walked towards the tower. One of his contacts had told him about it, pointing out how it had just appeared with the patch and that it was in all probabilities part of their imprisonment. He had also been told that a few players had already started off towards it, convinced that it was the first dungeon that had to be beaten in order to escape the game.
Game time: 2:20 A.M.

He hadn’t gone far at all when he ran into her, only a few minutes had passed and not enough ground had been covered when a wounded wizard appeared in front of him. Well, appeared wasn’t the right way to put it, it seemed to Qualthor as though she had appeared out of thin air as he had been lost in thoughts about what he was getting himself into and so he hadn’t noticed her until they were relatively close to one another. It was a small squeaking sound that seemed to escape her that had caught Qualthors’ attention, his arms immediately lifting his shield and his hammer up and to the ready. Both he and the wizard stood there, staring at one another like deer caught in the headlights of a car as they took stock of what was in front of them. It was probably more frightening for the wizard than for Qualthor, she was only just starting out and even if that wasn’t the case she had only a few HP left. HP that could quickly get reduced in a single blow.

Qualthor lowered the hammer, calling out as he turned so that his shoulder was towards him and he gestured to the city. “You had best hurry on now, if you stay out here you are sure to be a dead in no time. Where you at the tower?” Qualthor said all this in as kind a tone as he could muster, the last question just popping out as he thought about it, if she had been at the tower that was probably a good sign. The fact that she wasn’t dead wasn’t dead meant that it was probably clear between him and the tower and also that the fact that she was alive would mean that the tower was probably easy to deal with, if it had been hard she would be dead.

The girls response ruined those ideas though, she shook her head and said in a shaky voice to him. “No, I was just out a little ways. I fought a goblin. It was harder than I expected. Someone saved me though, they were headed to the tower.” as she spoke she seemed to inch forward, small steps as she moved past Qualthor, she didn’t go straight though; instead curving around him so that he wasn’t all that close to her. In response Qualthor called out to her, not making any moves at all as he did. “what were they? Level and class wise I mean.”

She answered him, at this point standing between him and the city. “One was a fighter and I don’t know what the other was.” With that she turned and continued on towards the city, casting glances back at him as she went. Qualthor watched her go, wondering for a moment if he should kill her right then and there. He decided against it though, not for any moral reasons but instead because she could be of some use later on. It wasn’t a good idea to throw away toys before you got a chance to play with them. With that over he continued on, the tower looming ahead of him.

Game time: 2:35 A.M.

Qualthor laid his hand against the tower, pressing his palm against it in hopes that it might move or vanish into the air. He had never understood the fascination people have with staring up at the top of skyscrapers until this moment. Something about the way it towered over him, the way it seemed to make him insignificant in comparison to it made him just stop and stare.

Shaking his head he moved away from it reaching out and touching the towers wave gate. As the two options appeared before him a thought occurred to him. How big of a raid dungeon is this supposed to be? What if this dungeon transports each party into a separate instance, meaning I would be alone in their. Qualthor almost stopped their, almost pressed the cancel button. He took a deep breath though, gathering what courage and strength he had to press the Enter The Dungeon button. White light gathered around him as it normally did and teleported him inside, unlike when he normally teleported into city this time had a feeling of despair in it.

Game time: 2:35 A.M.

Qualthor heard a loud bang as he entered the dungeon, his eyes glancing around the dark room he was in and focusing on the staircase. He moved towards it slowly, eyes glancing up as he did so. In all odds he would have to flee the first time he encountered an enemy since he was alone but that didn’t mean he couldn’t get a look at what was inside of here. AS he took a few steps up the stairs he heard it, the sound of fighting up ahead. More importantly he heard the sound of what seemed like a player fighting. With that thought in mind he started taking the steps two at a time, his hammer gripped near the head so that it wasn’t swinging wildly. As he neared the sound he slowed, looking from behind at the battle and watching the two engaged players fighting a pair of skeletons. The fact that they were their meant that he wasn’t in fact in a separate instance but that this place was a free for all. Standing back he opened up his menu, looking for the players information as they fought. He made sure to pay attention to their HP status but he looked over what information he could so that he could have a sense of their strength. The purple haired player was the more powerful of the two, strong enough to put a big dent in him at least. Qualthor closed the menu with a small smile, leaning against the wall to watch the engagement. They shouldn’t have any trouble with a pair of skeletons considering the level difference between the monsters and players.

"Wouldn't you be afraid as well? We now have the capacity to actually die. You know...expire, perish, pass away, croak, give up the ghost, kick the bucket. All of these conclusions are not exactly palatable to my tastes." she exclaimed in an exaggerated manner, flailing her arms before being taken by the hand. It was a pleasant sentiment, but it wasn't really necessary, or was it. She wasn't entirely certain. She was a grown woman, but the darkness always managed to procure a frightening shriek from her soul. Regardless, she followed her up the spiraling staircase, the stairs creaking with each step they took.

Danielle's stride slowed as she began to hear rather distorted, grunting resonating throughout the consecutive floor. It was relatively perturbing, though she was more inquisitive than she was scared. She did express a timorous disposition, but she discreetly maintained a significant constitution when something elicited great curiosity from her. Her perception of the circumstances were dubious at best, but her inquisitive nature compelled her to pursue the darkness.

Game Time: 2:32 A.M

As Reika pointed off into the darkness, Danielle turned her head to see two inconceivable abominations positioned at the bottom of the stairwell that lead onto the next floor. They were rather daunting with their emaciated appearance, but they weren't excessively difficult to contend with, especially considering their diminutive defense and attack statistics. But it was rather peculiar that they were comparatively more powerful for their level than another creature of the same level. But then again, she imagined that this dungeon wouldn't permit them to traverse it with too much simplicity.

Without warning, Rekia turned to her, transposing her surprised gaze into a delighted grin. Before Danielle could inquire, Reika leaped forward towards one of the opposing skeletal monstrosities vanishing swiftly in a nebulous mist of crimson smoke and then reappearing to graze them with her piercing dagger. "Quick and to the point, I suppose." she expressed.

Danielle stepped back, kneeling down as she pulled 6 arrows out of her quiver. "Don't have all the fun." she expressed with confidence as she readied the first arrow upon her bow while sticking the separate arrows in her mouth, targeting the opposite skeleton. (Binary Singularity! - 10% SP) She fired the arrow, separating mid-air into two luminescent projectiles of energy, then almost instantaneously arranging the remaining 5 arrows upon her bow. (Piercing Light! - 25% SP) She fired the torrent of arrows into the air, integrating to create a radiant stream of polychromatic light that swiftly followed her initial attack. After releasing her barrage of attacks, she stumbled slightly, re-establishing her stance with her hand as she felt exceptionally fatigued from the exhaustion of her SP.

"Reika wasn't kidding. I feel as if I just ran a mile." she spoke under her breath, panting heavily.

Shortly after her dash Reika noticed the the other Skeleton whom she didn't hit try to attack her only a second after the fighter appeared. She Immediately evaded the attack only to get hit by the skeleton she initially targeted. It merely felt as if she were scratched by the large sword due to the damage do. She crinched from the feeling only to do a normal side step before noticing the few streams of magical energy that landed upon the the Skeletons. The first one had been a direct hit upon the skeleton on the left making his head go backwards only to immediately jerk it back. The other arrow however due to the fact that the other skeleton immediately struck at Reika which happened to be very close to Reika in general had been quite a combonation not even sure to where the fighter herself wasn't even sure if the archer meant to do it. The arrow struck the other skeleton's arm who tried did the second attack making army jerk into the other skeleton! Only shortly after did five other magical streams of arrows fly from the sky landing upon first skeleton's head. Her eyes felt a little blinded seeing the 2 second flash of light that radiated from the arrows collision. The skeleton however seemed to not take this well being undead the foe seemed to take a reasonable amount of damage. A screech came from the Skeleton. Reika turned her head to the woman.

“Nice one! However, watch out with that first arrow! You almost got me by the neck and I don't want to experience an attack in this world!” She screamed with adrenaline, not sounding mad of course. The woman then drew back her arm only to form a fist which then was covered in a dark red aura. The creatures looked towards the woman feeling this energy conjuring and was about to attack until the woman let out a scream slamming the ground with her fist. This caused a quake which slightly shook the ground around her. Luckily Danielle wasn't close by but the two skeletons seemed to been knocked down slightly only to begin reconstructing magically. (Akuma no sutairu: Chikyū suramu - 20% SP taken). The glow disappeared soon after and by that Reika leaped over them landing close to Danielle panting. It felt as if her heart was racing, she wasn't used to this at all!

“They... are rebuilding quick but they're... also going down fast as well.. Thank... goodness we're so ahead in levels.... I … can only wonder … how will the next dungeons be?” By that Reika was moreso talking about the energy she felt was depleding from her body as her attacks were used. She felt tempted to just auto hit and use less energy from this point but wasn't quite sure on that nor did she know how long she wanted to be here. After catching her breath got back into her usual fighting position. She noticed the upper body remained floating with whatever magic kept them in the air. It was only then when she looked back noticing the man near by and winked sending him and invitation to the party. Had he watched he may as well come with them making this go by faster.

Qualthor couldn’t help but give a small laugh as he received the party invitation, reaching out he pressed the accept button. He didn’t release it right away though; he froze for a second as he recognized the name. Reika, something about it seemed familiar but more importantly something about the name also sent a chill up his spine. He shook it off though, she didn’t seem that bad and he might as well take a risk. Better to try and be helpful and have them owe him one rather than ignore their request and make them an enemy.

<Qualthor joined the party>

With a small smile he stepped forward, he called out to the two girls as he lifted his shield in front of him and lifted his hammer up above his head. “Coming through, thanks for letting get in on the fun.” Stepping past them and placing himself in between him and the skeletons he channeled a bit of energy into his hammer causing it too glow and releasing a wave of light from it. (Holy Cascade- 20% SP taken) The blast healed both of his new found companions for the small amount of HP they were missing but more importantly it struck the two skeletons as a concussive wave. Both skeletons gained a light glow as the blast hit and with a roar Qualthor brought his hammer down towards the one on the left. He allowed gravity, or at least the games version of gravity, to prove the force behind the blow. The blast and the follow up in quick succession guaranteed a hit since the skeleton was slightly dazed from the initial spell. The problem was though that Qualthor had cast the spell too early, not closing enough distance between him and the skeleton so rather than landing right on its skull like he had wished he ended up dealing only a glancing blow to its sternum. The blow still activated the passive which caused the glow on the skeleton to be pulled into the hammer and regenerate a small amount of his SP.

Qualthor wasn’t too impressed with this fight, while they were certainly stronger than they looked he had expected as much since they were in a dungeon, a dungeon that might have been built for groups of twenty or thirty at a time. Even with that thought in mind though, these creatures weren’t exactly bosses and as such he wasn’t going to be backing down from a little fight. What had impressed him though was the feeling that had come over him when he cast Holy Cascade, he had noticed it as the hammer had dropped onto one of the skeletons. It seemed as though his real strength and energy had vanished, a feeling he had never encountered in the game before. It shook him for a second, a second too long as the other skeleton reared up to strike at him. As he lifted up his shield he noticed a small golden sphere around one of the girls, his healing spell had activated his passive and surrounded her with a shield that would block close to 70 damage.

Throughout the rest of the dungeon/ark. Danielle will be an NPC controlled by me. Afterwards, her character will just be among the world somewhere. You can use her as a NPC to talk to in certain towns I place her in but other then such she will be unplayable after this arc. As for us three seeing that we will be running the game now. I would like to ask each of us to make another character to roll with this game. That will be our party. If we somehow get 3 other people, then you have the choice of using these characters. I will explain how these characters get their gold/exp over time but for now focus on the character. I will be taking the Plainswalker space, leaving the Knight class open. The last slot is wild so you, (Zalgo and whs) must decide among yourselves who gets the Knight job. I'll leave it to you guys.

Reika grinned as the man accepted the party invite only to hear his laughter. It was only soon after that he came running through ready for battle with his mace and shield ready for action. His voice said casually thankful of getting invited to battle. Reika watched this man rushed front of her still holding her position. She herself was curious of what kind of cleric this man was. His armor looked heavier then hers but it was obvious he was not a knight. Suddenly she noticed a radiant glow come from the cleric's hammer feeling the warmth expand to Danielle who looked among her hands in surprise. In addition to this in the last second she noticed the skeletons, she watched carefully noticing they weren't physically harm but were affected.

Although interested to see the man's skills, Reika couldn't just let all the fun go to him so she began to run towards them. The woman only noticed the swing of the blunt tool bash the reviving skeleton followed by a radiant light shine among his hammer granting him 1% of his SP. The fighter grinned closing in on the soldier before suddenly disappearing in a red blink only to reappear point second afterwards. The lady then slashed the skeleton main targeted skeleton reviving, upwards(Akuma no āto: Burinkuchāji - 10% SP taken). She didn't hesitate to waste time only a second afterwards did she thrust her fist upwards after using the ability and then spun around quickly with her blade as if she were dancing once again slashing the skeleton. Her body began to feel heavy as she felt her SP drain but she didn't think too hard about the next decision taking the advantage that her foe was stunned. She immediately once again formed a fist as her body began glowing red.and punched the skeletal foe into the air. It wasn't long afterwards that this followed as a mid air assault throwing kicks, punches and kicks before throwing her target back onto the ground. As the ability finished her radiant glow faded away. She however panted as if she had the wind knocked out of her as she fell backwards collapsing against the stone ground of the tower. Reika lifted herself up holding her chest as if she were trying to catch her breath which in truth that was exactly it.

The woman looked up to see the damage she caused only noticing most of the skeletal's part bursted into dust. She grinned knowing it was only dead but she was amazed that this level ten monster was lasting so long. The warrior smiled before lifting herself up once more as she panted gripping her weapon harder once more. She looked to the cleric not expecting any SP spells or so before noticing the skeleton's were finally back in action and ready to battle although one was obviously very weak and nearly gone physically. It no longer had a shield and a left arm but it still had a sword.

“So... what do you think of these monsters...? Interestingly resiliant compared to the ones outside”

The woman spoke with a smile before noticing a arrow shot from behind her. Reika turned her head shaking it knowing once again the arrow nearly hit her. The action was followed by the girl aiming with trust in her bow releasing the arrow straight into the walking dead. (Luminescent vision! - 10% SP). It was then that the skeletal's corpse once again bursted off showing only a cracked body with once arm. The skeleton had no chance of reacting to the archers attacks.

Reika heard the girl shout out to then.

“Let's finish this off!”

Reika nodded to this action and prepared herself to rid this foe and then clapse onto the next.

"Yes damnit! Let me in the game already!"

In the beginning, there was nothing. Then the first of Ultros's senses came to be. The simplest of them all, the sense of touch. He could feel he was standing on a a soft texture, moving underneath him on an unstable surface. A cool breeze flowed past him, leaving his skin colder as his robes swayed in the wind.
Then came the sense of smell. A collage of different scents entered his nostrils. The refreshing smell of the nearby forest mingled with the nearby scent of various different flowers all carried on the calm tumbling winds.
After that came the sense of taste. The smell of flowers conjured a slightly sweet taste to the usual bland state of his mouth.
His hearing was restored next. The only sounds that occupied the air were the sound of the air lightly ruffling the foliage of the trees surrounding him.
Last but not least, his sight returned. The sudden flood of light hit his eyes, forcing him to shield them from the sunlight with his hands for the first few seconds of his arrival. Never before in this game had he been blinded by anything that didn't specifically make it an attack on him. As soon as he brought his hands down he was about to remark on that matter when a window popped up in front of his field of vision.

Patch: 1.20X

Enhanced your senses in the game.

Given balance to all classes stats

8 New Dungeons placed..

All of a sudden the truth of it all dawned on Ultros. "Eight new dungeons added... Eight keys... No reset." He was putting the pieces of this revelation together in his head. All of a sudden he threw his head back, crying out into the glittering night sky with the full power of his voice. "I must go and gather all eight of these keys for I alone am best!" His cry pierced the stifling silence which now occupied the once thriving city of Tyr. Looking around he saw he was where he last logged off:
Standing upon a giant lotus flower in a moonlit pond just a little off the center of Tyr.

With an exaggerated gesture he pointed most triumphantly at the wave gate set in the center of the city.
"Flower! Take me to the wave gate! Move! Move! Move!" He commanded the lotus beneath him. The plant responded to it's rider's will, drifting across the glistening waters as fast as it could. With the time he had for the lotus to make it to shore he noticed the changes Tyr had underwent in the short span of time he was offline. Nothing about the scenery was different but where there was once people laughing, having fun and appreciating the natural beauty of Tyr's flora there was only silence and emptiness. From a good distance away he could hear the sound of crying coming from one of the inns. He was almost curious as to what had happened to this city, where everyone could of gone. That is strange. What could of possibly happened to make everyone leave? Did they all log out for some reason? He pondered, his thoughts quickly coming to a close as shore arrived within stepping distance.

Without a second thought to the matter he clutched his ancient wooden staff and dusty old book as he vaulted off the lotus onto the emerald hued grass and made a mad dash towards the wave gate. For him there was no time to lose. He couldn't afford to wait another second that someone else could be using to get closer to one of the keys with.
