Personality: If you ever first meet Arabella the first impression you would have of her is “Wow, I’ve never met such an awkward turtle.” She's extremely awkward and uncomfortable whenever she’s around people she hasn't met before due to her shy/trust issues because of an incident. Ever since, she secluded herself to a couple friends and became introvert who spends most of their time in the library. If you’re ever lucky enough to pass through Arabella’s introvert wall she is actually one of the sweetest and most caring girls you’ll ever meet. Got a secret? She’ll keep in locked in a safe. Need advice? She’ll listen and help you in the best way she can. Need a listener? She’ll sit there listening intently and give her own thoughts on the situation. Need a friend? She’ll be your best friend for life. The only problem is that people don’t try hard enough to get to know her and learn about her great qualities. So instead of being her friend, they stand from a distance and judge her. With people judging her, it adds on pressure and
makes it difficult for her to make new friends.

Typically if you ever need her, you’ll find Arabella studying her head off or doing homework extra early in the library like those typical nerds. Though, if you need to ask her to do your homework, she will most likely harshly decline and smile. As much as it kills her to decline "helping" people, she views not doing your homework and classwork is not a way to succeed in life. So she will harshly decline with no reason and smile in hopes of the person will ignore the rejection and still be nice to her. Which also is hints of her old personality before the incident, the same attitude goes toward when handling people who are bullying her. This rarely happens, but Arabella will stand up for herself and in the end she will kindly smile then walk away. Although with school and Harvard University drilled into her mind, she silently walks away without replying while people are throwing insults. Believing that their insults and threats will mean absolutely nothing after school ends when she's their boss or possibly C.E.O.

History:
Arabella was of those average typical students in school just trying to pass and make it into her dream college. Luckily one day, PCA Academy offered her a scholarship she took the offer immediately excited that she was just one step closer to her dream college. The moment she stepped into the academy it was living hell. She was able to make new friends but faced some rough times with friendship. Then eventually scattered off alone in the library still hanging around with only two or three friends. Every single time a bully pushed, shoved, or teased her all she thought was “I’m doing this for mom" and silently walked away.

Arabella was nine years old when her mother passed away from breast cancer. It was Arabella’s and her mother’s dream for Arabella to go to Harvard University. When her mother passed away it was Arabella’s one determined goal to go to that school and make her mother proud. Her father was always supportive of her, pushing her to try her best in school even after her mother passed away. Whenever she was going through a rough time at the academy Arabella would call her dad and the first thing he would say is “I know you can get through it. Your mother knows you can get through it.” Nobody in the entire school knows about her mother passing away except for Arabella.

A friend that Arabella once knew at PCA Academy was her bestest friend in the whole wide world until that "friend" she had turned on her. (The friend is going to be nicknamed drop out.) Drop Out was the exact replica of Arabella; quirky, sweet, nice, and caring until Drop Out starting hanging out with new friends. Drop Out and Arabella were know as the two peas in the pod; they were always hanging out with each other and conjoined together by the hip. Drop Out slowly made new friends, but with the wrong people. The two slowly started fading further and further from each other. At first Arabella thought nothing of the situation and believed that they should be making new friends instead of sticking to each other all the time. Then one day, Drop Out decided to turn on her and drop Arabella as a friend and change completely. Drop Out wore designer clothes, hung out with the Socialites, and spread small rumors about Arabella. During that time Arabella had a crush on (nickname: Loser) Loser, and Drop Out eventually found out due to Arabella's careless staring toward the guy in class. Drop Out deciding to be the worst person on earth turned on Arabella and hooked up with Loser. The next day, word of Drop Out getting pregnant with Loser got around and Arabella was heartbroken. Deciding that being close friends with a person and focusing too much on friendship, Arabella changed her ways. Instead of balancing a normal healthy social life, school, and sleep; Arabella dropped her social life completely and focused only on school and sleep. Arabella was no longer the happy-go-lucky girl you first met. She turned into the shy awkward turtle introvert who avoided people 24/7. Drop Out and Loser eventually had to drop out and take care of the baby. No body remembers the incident anymore after that year but Arabella continues her nerdy ways.

After the incident, Arabella was helped by meeting a new friend and they later became the bestest friends. Though Arabella still remained nerdy and in her introvert way; at times though her old personality before the incident still shows through (like standing up for herself, and still wearing cute girly clothes). The library soon became her safe haven, quiet place after everything she went through and remained when she met a new friend. There she studied, listened to music, played around with computers, and read books of course. Arabella had a secret hiding place just behind the computers and bookshelves on the far end of the library with a comfy couch. People rarely came by because the books surrounding that area were only teacher teaching books (with no answer keys). The only time she wasn’t at the library was when it was closed so she just stayed in her dorm room. Arabella tends to avoid social events, (hating the fact she would have to make new people) so she just stays in her dorm room scrolling on Tumblr or reading a book. Arabella Remington is one average nerdy girl.

So begins...

Its been a week since school began. Some students have fully unpacked and decorated their dorms, others still have boxes littering their dorms. The first two weeks of school is supposed to be spent getting orientated with the school before classes start the following week. The first week was spent with students being dropped off throughout the week, students signing up for clubs and getting their sport gear, and roommates getting acquainted. Now its the second week. Students will be going to their clubs and sports. For now most students are either waking up and getting ready for the day, in the lounges, or eating breakfast in the quad, picnic tables, or the caf.

Donna had awoken early that morning, she yawned careful not not to wake up Arielle before slipping into their bathroom. She slipped into the shower going through her morning ritual of her body was, body scrub, facial cleanser, facial scrub, and facial moisturizer. She usually washed her hair every other day since it was so thick and she didn't want it to break off but she used her luxury vanilla scented conditioner every day. She came out thoroughly refreshed before beginning to brush out her luscious, thick, glossy brown hair. She then straightened it until it was pin straight and ended just above her back dimples. She came out the bathroom in her lacy under garments before spraying her signature custom made scent of honey suckle, which she made at a perfumery in Paris, into the air and stepping into letting it gently cover her whole body without it being over bearing. She then walked over to her mirror and applied a bit of light makeup that only made her seem a little dewy.

She glanced around the room. She added a bit of things. She up a collage of mirrors on one small wall of the room as well as a collage of her friends. She also hung up a big photo of her and Arielle that took up half a width of wall space and was placed in the middle of the wall. The picture was from the top of the wall to the bottom. She also had pictures of herself on her trips. hung up on the wall.

She walked over to the closet and picked out an outfit. Since she and Arielle practically wore the same size tops and shoes they out their clothes all together in the closet, wardrobe, and dresser.. Plus it was easy to tell their bottoms apart with Donna's shapely toned legs and Arielle's petite size. She picked out a classy yet sexy
outfit and put it on. She walked over to one of the dozens of mirrors in their room, this one a full length and checked herself out. The simple silk tank hugged her nicely sized chest well, the blazer fit snug and accentuated her tanned skin, and the lace shorts showed off her shapely toned legs; Everything was perfect.

She sneakily leaned over Arielle and purred "Wake up doll," Before skipping out of the room slamming the door on her way out. She walked over to the quad where the coffee stand where the coffee stand was was and Brazilian roast back coffee, that she begged her dad to stock the school up with as a surprise for Lucas when he mentioned it once, for Lucas. She headed to the cafeteria then and bought A diet coke for Arielle and a regular coke for Ashton. She also bought herself a strawberry smoothie. She also bought one of each of the twelve pastries. She quickly went back in the room and set the diet coke and a pastry on the nightstandalong with a note that said "Love you doll, going to the boy's room. Meet me there.-Bee" before heading to Ashton and Lucas's room. She had her own key and was about to open the door when she was interrupted.

A girl came out of her room, a girl clad in a pink blazer and a pink and brown plaid skirt who had bleached blonde hair and dark tanned skin. A girl Donna knew as Crystal, daughter of a widowed gold digger who married a millionaire when she was twenty one and he was seventy. "O.M.G Donna, hey!" She squealed prancing up to Donna in the summer Jimmy Choo's. She glanced at Donna's which were the early release Winter Jimmy Choo line "How.Did. You. Get. Those?!" She girl screeched. Donna resisted the urge to cover her gold hoop clad ears with her french manicured hand. "Oh I have my ways," Donna said coyly. The girl covered her hear, well more like her implant filled chest with her own crystal and plastic rose manicured hand. "I so envy you," The girl said pouting her baby pink lips. She blew Donna a kiss before retreating in her dorm making Donna roll her eyes.

Donna opened the door to Ashton and Lucas's room and set the drinks and pastries on a table. She walked over to their window and opened the curtains and blinds before commanding "Wake up!" She said sitting down in one of the chairs and crossing her legs " I brought breakfast." She said in a sing-song voice sweetly. She pulled out her phone and texted Jennifer.
To: Jenny
Morning biatch!Get your ass to Lucas and Ashton's room if you want a pastry.

She focused back on the boys and pointed her finger across the hall "What's up with barbie girl over there. This is a exclusive dorm for a reason. There's nothing classy about.." She rolled her eyes "That. She should be in Persephone." She tilted her head "No worries,I'll fix that later." She said with a coy smile. Donna's sophomore year, when Donna wasn't Queen and was dating a rebel who graduated her Junior year, Crystal decided to sleep with him. Information she found out over the summer when one of Crystals ex friends told her at a party. She was thinking of the right way to punish her and here it was. She bit into a chocolate pastry as she plotted in her head.

Kennedy tossed and turned, trying to escape the realm of sleep she was currently in. It wasn't until she felt herself falling did she open her eyes. Half her body was off of the tiny bed, and she quickly put one hand on the floor. The other grabbed her sheets. Her fingers slipped and she hit the ground, bringing her brightly colored comforter with her. She groaned as her body hit the floor but made no attempt to move just yet. She looked over at her roommate, her good friend Arabella, who was sleeping soundly in her bed. After about a few minutes of just resting on the floor, she got up and made her way to the bathroom. She put her hair up in a messy bun so she could wash her face. Morning showers always made her tired, so she saved showering for before bed.

After washing her hair, brushing her teeth and flossing, and combing her hair, Kennedy made her way to her wardrobe. She shuffled through all the different articles of clothing until she picked out a sweater and denim shorts. It was nothing special, but it was still cute. Her outfit was completed with grey vans. She went over to a mirror she put on her side of the room, fixing her outfit and doing her hair. She parted her hair on its usual side and left it down. It flowed down to her mid back. She fixed a few stray pieces until they were all done, and she looked back in the mirror. Kennedy didn't own makeup, so her look was all done. It wasn't that Kennedy hated makeup or anything, she just didn't like wearing it. Whenever she had concealer on, she felt like a birthday cake. When she had mascara on, she felt like she had slugs had taken over her eyelashes. Lipstick felt like drying paint on her lips. She didn't even bother using eyeliner or eye shadow.

Kennedy left her dorm and made her way to the cafe. When she got there, she ordered two muffins, one hot chocolate, and one coffee. As she waited, she looked around the decent sized cafe. The room was comfortable and a great place to hangout with some friends or stop at to get breakfast. A few people were there, chatting quietly with their friends or sitting by themselves. As Kennedy looked around, she saw Hazel sitting by herself. She had one hand on her head and looked like she was dying. Kennedy found it pretty funny to be honest. Hazel probably partied last night and had a hangover now. She just smiled, paid and thanked the woman who helped her. Before she went back to her dorm, she asked if she could borrow a pen and a napkin. The woman nodded and handed her one, which Kennedy gladly took. Kennedy scribbled quickly on the napkin. It read:

A great way to get over a hangover is taking a steaming, hot bath. The hot water rids your body of toxins and all you have to do in run the water and relax. You may become lightheaded at first, but you'll feel much better after.

-K. Price

She handed the pen back and took her items and the napkin, making her way through the cafe. As she passed Hazel, she dropped her little note on the table. She wasn't trying to be a smart ass or anything; she was just trying to help. She left and made her way back to her dorm, prepared to wake up Arabella.

She got back and looked at the little clock they had on their shared night stand. It read 7:57. Kennedy laughed and put the food and beverages next to the clock. She shook her roommate lightly, "Arabella," she called. "It's time to get up. It's almost 8:00." Nothing happened. "Arabella!" Kennedy shook her harder. Again nothing. She sighed and grabbed a pillow from her bed. Kennedy smiled and gave one more call, raising the pillow above her head. "ARABELLA LYNN REMINGTON, WAKE UP. DON'T MAKE ME DRAG YOU OUT OF THAT BED." When Kennedy saw no movement she pulled back the sheets and lowered her arms with the pillow. She hit her upper torso, then her head, then random spots on her body. "I got food for heaven's sake!" She smiled and waited, knowing the mention of food would definitely get her up.

Arabella was an extremely heavy sleeper, the only way she could be woken up is by food and her annoying alarm clock. Food was one of her true loves, and it just so happens that at the word of food Arabella wakes up. She thinks its because every time she falls asleep with an empty stomach, so "supposedly" her stomach is just so hungry for food the next day it makes Arabella wakes up at the mention of food. Strange theory, but Arabella only means it as a joke.

Arabella had stayed up late the previous night trying to finish a book series she recently started. Ignoring the fact she had school the next day, Arabella didn't fall asleep until she finished the very last page. By the time she did finish, it was already two o'clock in the morning forgetting to set the alarm clock the previous night.

She heard someone calling out her name in her dream, and a bunch of muffled words that she couldn't understand. Assuming its just her strange dream, she snuggled closer to her pillow. A few minutes later, she heard someone say "I go food for heaven's sake!" Arabella immediately jolted up from the bed looking around saying, "Food?! Where?!" She heard a female voice laughing and saw Kennedy looking down at her. Arabella sighed, "No food?" noticing Kennedy wasn't holding any breakfast. She looked back at the clock and yelped before Kennedy could respond, "Oh dear! I didn't realize I slept in this late. Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear." Arabella jumped from the bed still in her pjs and rushed over to go brush her teeth. "Oh how I hate waking up late. Stupid alarm clock."

After a few minutes, Arabella changed into her clothespairing it with her lucky grey converses and put up her hair. By the time she was done with her makeup (lipstick, eye shadow, mascara, and curled her lashes. Scarlett prefers to keep it simple) she noticed the food and beverages next to her clock. "So, you did bring food?...Oops?" Arabella giggled as she turned towards Kennedy.

One of the cons of dorming alone was that she was forced to be woken up alone by her annoying alarm clock. It was bright and somewhat early in the morning when Scarlett was woken up by her alarm clock. Groaning, she gently turned off her alarm then reluctantly got up and stood up stretching. "Ugh, I hate waking up in the mornings." She muttered walking over to the sink and brushed her teeth. Then changing out of her pjs into her clothes and did her hair like this. Scarlett rarely takes a shower in the morning because she values her sleep and prefers to take a shower in the evenings.

After she got all dressed up, she began with her makeup. She doesn't like caking her face on with a ton of makeup and simply just put on lipstick, eye shadow, mascara, and curled her lashes. Though, Scarlett claims she looks horrid without any make up on and musts put on some make up but not too much. She doesn't like feeling like a clown with so much make up on like some girls do.

Scarlett headed over to the cafe and doing her usual morning routine. She ordered two muffins, one orange juice, and a coffee. Afterwards, she noticed a couple students from class and waved hi to them while smiling. Then made her way towards her childhood best friend's dorm, Riven Mantra, carrying the two muffins and orange juices. She gently knocked on his door and waited patiently outside the door while eating her muffin savoring each and every bite. Hearing no movement behind the door, she decides to open the door and sees Riven laying on his bed still sleeping. Scarlett sighs and sees Louis' note for Riven. She places the muffin and cup of coffee on the table and tip toes quietly toward Riven. "Riven! Riven! Wake up! Riven wake up!!" She shakes him gently while smiling.

It was her typical morning routine like every other day unless she woke up later than usual. On those days, instead of her waking up/stopping by Riven's room it'd be Riven waking her up.

Before Kennedy could say anything to her friend, Arabella shot up and ran frantically around the room. Arabella ran around the room, getting ready while speaking to herself. "Uh, Arabella," Kennedy tried to get her attention. "Arrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeebelllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaa?" She questioned, cocking her head to the side. She raised an eyebrow and put her hands on her hips. In all honesty, Kennedy wondered about Arabella. Sure she was awkward and everything, but once you really got to know her she was like a firecracker. She never seemed to stop talking and she was always acting crazy, around those she knew at least. Maybe that's why Kennedy loved her so much. Arabella was like her opposite.

After a while, Arabella stopped and saw the food. Kennedy rolled her eyes and walked to the night stand. She grabbed the small, brown paper bag with the muffins in it and reached her hand in, pulling one out. "Of course. Why would I lie about having food, especially to you? You know me better than that." She tossed the muffin to Arabella and grabbed the girl's drink, holding it out. "I got you coffee." She smiled and handed the hot beverage to her. Kennedy looked Arabella's outfit over. "You look cute. Uh, nice fedora.." Kennedy smiled a little, lying through her teeth. Frankly, she though fedora's were the worst monsters of all. Whoever had called them cute, or even invented them, she silently cursed. How could you allow people to walk around with that thing on their heads? The thought of wearing one herself made her want to vomit and laugh at the same time. She literally could not stand them. Kennedy took her hot chocolate and sipped it. It was hot, but not hot enough to burn her tongue. She pursed her lips and scratched the back of her neck nervously. She didn't like telling her friends the truth sometimes if she knew it would hurt their feelings. It wasn't like Arabella looked bad in it, which was debatable, but it was just the fact that she was wearing it. Kennedy continued drinking her hot chocolate, hoping Arabella would let the compliment fly over her head, which she doubt her friend would.

Arabella watched Kennedy walk straight toward the night stand and pulling out muffins, with a blank "oops" face. Arabella soon noticed the smell of muffins around the room, getting stronger as Kennedy grabbed it out of the bag. "Of course. Why would I lie about having food, especially to you? You know me better than that." Kennedy spoke while tossing the muffin to Arabella with a "C'mon, Really?" look on her face. Arabella caught with one hand with ease smiling to herself and then reaching out to hold the coffee, "I got you coffee." Kennedy smiled at her while handing the coffee to Arabella. She took a sip of the coffee internally moaning at the how delicious it tasted on her tongue. After a couple sips, she suddenly felt more awake.

"I guess I was distracted by the fact I woke up later than usual...Oops! I promise it won't happen again. Thanks by the way!" She laughed while taking a bite into the muffin, "This. Muffin. Is. The. Best. Thing. On. Earth. At the moment for now." Arabella walked over to the mirror checking her outfit to see if anything looked weird. "You look cute. Uh, nice fedora..." hearing Kennedy's voice fade in the distance a bit. A look of confusion spread on Arabella's face, but she still didn't turn around to look directly at Kennedy trying to remember something.

After a couple minutes thinking/remembering of what could it be, the thought of Kennedy hating fedoras popped in her mind. Oh shoot. She hates fedoras I forgot. Plus, it looks pretty bad with my bun in my hair. What was I thinking! Arabella thought to herself while staring up at the fedora. "Thanks for the compliment on the outfit! Thank you. Thank you! THANK YOUUU. You're so kind. Maybe I should join the football team since I'm wearing your favorite fedora! Just kidding, I forgot how much you hate fedoras." Arabella teased while taking off the hat, "I was such in a rush I put it over my bun, silly me! But in all seriousness, thanks for the compliment on the outfit." She turned around looking at Kennedy with a sincere smile holding inside a hint of laughter.

She took another sip of her coffee to wake up a bit more. Then grabbed her new book in her free hand, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, along with her Ipod (and headphones). Arabella checked around to see if she had forgotten anything while she asked jokingly, "So... maybe it was sort of a bad idea to finish a book series at 3 in the morning?" Then looked up at Kennedy with a foolish grin to see her response.

Kennedy laughed when Arabella moaned. "I'll take that as a thank you." She grabbed the remaining muffin and took small bites, savoring the delicious flavor. It wouldn't last forever, so she appreciated it while she could. That's really how she looked at everything. Everything is bound to come to an end one day, so appreciate what you have when you have it. She nibbled on her muffin and sipper her hot chocolate, the two mixing perfectly together, while Arabella looked in the mirror. "You're welcome," she said blankly, really dreading the fedora part she just had to add at the end. Kennedy made her way to her bed and sat down, looking at the comforter that was still on the floor. She didn't care to pick up just yet. She would get it when she made her bed.

She hadn't been paying that much attention to what Arabella was saying or doing until she heard her say 'thank you' extremely loud. Kennedy snapped her head up to look at the female, smiling when she brought up fedoras. Bella took off her hat and Kennedy almost jumped up. However, her roommate reassured her it was alright and that she had just accidentally put it on. Kennedy felt slightly better, and let out a sigh. She didn't know how things could go when she tried to fake compliment others. It was obvious she didn't mean it, but she didn't want to tell them they looked extremely ugly. No, that would just be cruel. After shaking the thought off, she finished her muffin completely and put her beverage back on the night stand. She made her bed quickly before rejoining her friend.

Her friend grabbed her newest book and Kennedy gathered her cellphone, her dorm keys, and her wallet and put them in her pocket. "So... maybe it was sort of a bad idea to finish a book series at 3 in the morning?" Kennedy shot her a look and laughed quickly after. "Obviously," she rolled her eyes, while a smile appeared. Her eyes found their way to the book cover and Kennedy's face lit up. "Ooh! You're going to love that book! It's great. So sad, but great. it was hard for me to put it down. You're going to love Hazel Grace and Augustus," she stopped herself after that. She knew if she kept talking she would start to give the book away. That was a bad habit of hers. Whenever she found a book she liked, and someone was going to read it or asked her about it, she could go for hours upon end just talking about it. It was pretty crazy. The two headed towards the door together. "So exactly where are we headed to now? More food, or the library?" Kennedy smiled and stood in the hall. After Arabella stepped in to the hallway and their door was closer, Kennedy headed in the direction of the library, just in case. "You know Lynn," she started, calling her friend by her middle name. "I still think you should burn that abomination of a hat." Her last sentence was mumbled, barely inaudible.

"Obviously," Kennedy replied while rolling her eyes, her eyes trailing down to the cover of the book Arabella was holding. "Ooh! You're going to love that book! It's great. So sad, but great. it was hard for me to put it down. You're going to love Hazel Grace and Augustus," She exclaimed before stopping herself from spoiling the book. Arabella giggled at her response, "Well, I can't wait to start it! I'm guessing I'll be needing tissues after I'm done reading this book?" Arabella followed Kennedy out the door slightly closing it. Arabella hated the sound of a wooden door slamming. It made her feel like a child walking into the principal's office to be scold after they closed the door from the rest of the world. The thought of getting her in trouble gave her shivers, she wouldn't be able to stand a chance as a rebel.

"So exactly where are we headed to now? More food, or the library?" A voice interrupted her thoughts, looking up to see Kennedy smiling in the middle of the hall. Kennedy started heading the most obvious direction she would have picked, the library. "The library!! Can't wait to start this book now thanks to you!" Arabella exclaimed while walking have a slight hop to it showing her happiness at the moment. If it weren't for Arabella's good listening ears, she wouldn't have been able to catch Kennedy calling Arabella by her middle name catching Arabella a bit off guard by a new nickname. Her voice began trailing off into mumbles about burning the hat.

Arabella sighed smiling having slight hesitation of what to respond. "We can uh," She spoke quietly looking down at the floor while trying to get into footsteps of Kennedy. "We can burn my fedora hat together if it makes you happy. You are the fashionista.. It was a christmas present from my ex-friend. I don't know why I still have it." Arabella spoke softly sighing. The thoughts of her ex best friend tore her apart. It's what kept her from meeting new people and trusting people too much. She thought a moment to herself feeling even more sad, maybe burning that hat will help me get better.

Whilst walking down the hallway next to Riven, Scarlett was lost in her own thoughts. Her fingers began tapping on the thigh, tapping a random song she heard on the radio yesterday. It was a habit Scarlett always did when she was deep into her thoughts. It wasn't just for any particular thought, it was just all of them in general basically. She wasn't thinking about anything crazily important at the moment. Just random things from schoolwork, photography, to finishing up her last drawing soon. Thinking was another habit she had, though she tends to over think at times.

She was so heavily into her thoughts, Scarlett didn't notice a small edge on the floor where the carpet ends and a new carpet starts. Before she knew it, Scarlett stumbled a bit while cursing herself inwardly. She caught her balance halfway and gotten her footing on the ground. So, the floor wasn't getting a hug from her that day. Scarlett is always clumsy like this, it was just a random thing that all the members in her family had. They each had clumsiness, a bit of a coincidence she might say. Luckily Riven was a feet ahead of her, to her hope he didn't know she tripped.

After she finished inwardly cursing herself, thankful to still see Riven still a feet in front of her. Scarlett blew a breath of relief thinking that Riven hadn't noticed her lagging behind because of the trip. She jogged softly up next to him, and then walking casually trying to meet his strides. He was a couple inches taller than her, but boy did those inches matter. Annoyed by the fact she had to practically jog to meet his strides she finally asked, "May you walk just a bit slower? I may or may not be... I don't know. Too short to meet your strides!" Looking next to her Riven was mumbling at the time, he had an odd habit of doing that. Scarlett laughed shaking her head, but still shaken up by the fall.

They later approached the cafe, Scarlett was once again lost in her thoughts. But if you paid closely attention to her face expression, you could tell she was starving since the muffin wasn't enough to satisfy her. "Yes! Breakfast!" Scarlett exclaimed laughing as they approached the door.

"Well, I can't wait to start it! I'm guessing I'll be needing tissues after I'm done reading this book?" Kennedy turned her head to look at Arabella. A small smile worked its way onto her friends face. Shoving her hands in her back pockets, she shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, you could say that.." Her voice was soft as she spoke. Although she wouldn't admit it, she basically cried her eyes out when reading that love story. Books always brought out her emotional side. When it came to crying, movies, most deaths, tragic events and such didn't really do much to her. The tears came when she read, was extremely embarrassed, or physically harmed. When people close to her died she cried, but they had to be people she was extremely close with, like her parents or friends. She had always hated funerals. Out of the few she had been to, she always sat there while everyone cried around her. It always seemed to haunt her.

Sure enough, Arabella chose the library. Kennedy laughed. However, the laugh disappeared when Arabella talked about the fedora. "Nonononono! We don't have to. I know how much she meant to you and stuff, but you don't really have to burn it. I was just kidding. Instead of burning it, we could just put it in a box and place it somewhere deep int he closet or something. Burning it really isn't necessary. I mean, it is still a hat. hats are meant to be worn, not burnt." Kennedy frowned and looked at her friend. She had been rambling, trying to cover up what she said before. If Kennedy could change one thing about herself, it would probably be the fact that she always regretted what she said because she didn't want to hurt others. Kennedy cleared her throat, speaking a little louder than about a minute ago. "You probably kept the hat for a reason." She didn't say anything else about the topic after that.

They walked together, side by side. Kennedy hummed softly, thinking about what to do today. She thought about the clubs she had signed up for and she turned her head sharply to her right, the side Arabella was on. "Hey, I think I asked you this before, but what clubs did you sign up for?" She removed her hands from her back pockets and brushed the stray pieces of hair that had fallen in her face. "Oh!" Kennedy smiled at her friend. "Is it alright if I call you Arabella Lynn, or just Lynn? I like the names together, or by themselves." Kennedy felt the need to ask, considering she didn't want to call Arabella something she didn't like. It was like in the third grade when Kennedy was called 'K'. Oh, how she hated that name. It's like people were just too lazy to say her full name. It wasn't that hard, after all. It was only three syllables and seven letters. It wasn't hard to say at all!

9:00 Thursday, PCA Campus
The students are enjoying their morning breakfast and fellowship as a voice crackles through the intercom, travelling through the many speakers around the campus. All of our Seniors not in these activities you have a free period please remember to sign out if you choose to go off campus. Miss Craig is big deal at PCA since she's actually a party planner for celebrities but since she's a close friend of the principal she also does elaborate dances and events envied by school's all over the country.

"Students guess what is happening tomorrow!" She pauses "Homecoming Dance!" Her peppy voice resonates "Anyway as you know last week you all got to vote for a theme and the winner is...Drum Roll please" She pauses and you can vaguely hear her banging on the table "Oooh I like this Old Hollywood glam. That means bring your dapper suits with your ascots for the boys and your fit tight just right glam cocktail dresses. Oooh I love it! Anyway I also have your homecoming court, how exciting!" You hear her ruffle through some papers "For the Boys we have Blake Everett, Ashton Chambers, Nate Hoffman and Lucas Azevedo Yay! Arabella was still absent-mindedly staring towards the floor and was smiling after hearing Kennedy's rambling. Kennedy spoke again clearly, "You probably kept the hat for a reason." Which caught Arabella's attention and made her look up from the ground towards Kennedy with a confused expression Why though. Why did I keep it. Why. What's the reason though? Those thoughts floating around and around in her head. She realized her heart would soon start aching and her head wold begin hurting if she thought about her ex-best friend for too long. Arabella finally came to a conclusion and shrugged her shoulders in response, "I honestly...don't know why I kept it after all these years. It isn't much of a fashion statement in your words....Oh well, the hat is history. I agree, it would be best at the back of my closet in a box." Feeling a bit of awkward tension in the air, the two just continued walking along the hallway silently. Although Arabella wanted break the silence didn't have the heart at the moment to speak up and change the topic.

Kennedy seemed to notice the awkward silence and decided to be the who changed the topic, "Hey, I think I asked you this before, but what clubs did you sign up for?" Arabella sighed with relief at the change of topic internally. "Hmm," Arabella paused placing a finger on her lips showing a stereotypical thinking position, "I joined Debate Team and Quiz Bowl! You?" Arabella had glanced up towards the wall but soon found herself admiring all the posters and artwork for a while. Another habit Arabella had, staring off into random space or admiring silly little things. "Oh!" Kennedy smiled, "Is it alright if I call you Arabella Lynn, or just Lynn? I like the names together, or by themselves." Arabella had been busy admiring all the posters along the wall; the sudden “Oh!” from Kennedy caught her off guard. After a couple seconds of realizing what Kennedy had said, Arabella spoke while laughing, “I honestly don’t mind at all. I’m pretty flexible with nicknames. As long as they’re not mean or anything.”

The two were just were just a couple more turns in the hallway from being greeted by the library. As they passed one familiar turn Arabella always walked by to get to the library, a gigantic smile flashed on her face showing her excitement. Her walk began to have a slight hop to it, saying she was excited would be an understatement. They were just soon mere inches from stepping into the library, and Arabella was getting ready to push the door open when the announcements came on. Arabella groaned out loud staring through the doors of the library with a pout when she found out she had to go to room 105. She turned around to Kennedy with a slight pout on her face, “So, I gotta go to Room 105. How about you? Also homecoming's coming up?! Ugh, greeaaat.”

Scarlett was looking at the menu she had gotten from the shelf next to the tables. After a few moments deciding, Scarlett finally decided on strawberry banana pancakes with a bit of whipped cream on top drizzled with syrup on the sides. When Riven mumbled with a bored hungry expression on his face, "I have no idea what to get." Scarlett looked up from the menu just about ready to order, but paused looking over to see Riven and his clueless bored expression. She brought up the menu next to him and asked politely, "Well, they have pancakes, cereal, bacon, eggs, toast, etc. What do you have in mind that you want? I'm gonna go order ahead while you still decide."

Right when Scarlett had ordered her pancakes and gotten her pancakes the announcements went off. Scarlett walked up to Riven holding the plates with a slight pout. "Soo.. you didn't join any clubs did you? I joined Debate Team and Art Club. Quiz bowl isn't having a meeting right now though." Scarlett looked down at her pancakes with a sigh, she was still a bit hungry and wanted to enjoy her actual nutritional breakfast. "Homecoming is coming up too. I'm probably not going..." Scarlett spoke while staring at her pancakes hungrily. "I wonder if I can still finish my pancakes in time. You know what. Just have my pancakes. I gotta goooo." Scarlett rushed out before turning around to go to Art Club.

After a few minutes of walking away from Riven holding the pancakes, Scarlett made a slight change of mind turning around to yell with a grin on her face, "Save me some later!" Then turning back to go to her dorm to get her sketch book and pencils. After grabbing them, she started heading over to Art Club.

Just as the two reached the library, the announcement went off and Kennedy shook her head. She knew she would have had to leave for her club, but this early? No thank you. Arabella declared she had to go to room 105 for Debate team, and Kennedy smiled slightly at her. "Have fun with that. It's time for me to head off to 210 for the E-Magazine. Wish me luck with Queen Bee are her hive." Kennedy walked backwards as she walked towards the Art Wing. She waved at Arabella, but quickly turned around remember the mention of Homecoming. She cupped her hands around her mouth and spoke a little louder than usual. "By the way, we have Quiz Bowl together! We'll discuss Homecoming after our clubs?" She meant to state what she said as a fact, rather than her last sentence coming off as a question. Kennedy smiled at her friend and waved yet again, and practically jogged to her club.

From the library, the Art Wing was pretty far away. It was nothing ridiculous, but it wasn't as close as she had hoped. Never being the athletic type, Kennedy had to stop jogging after about three minutes and switch to speed walking. To say Kennedy didn't like running or jogging was accurate. She had never been a fan of exercising in general. Her parents had put her in physical activities when she was younger, including ballet and gymnastics. However, Kennedy never really did anything there. She would bring a book and sit and watch everyone else. Watching others brought her happiness, but doing it herself was another story. Why force herself to do something when she was perfectly fine observing the others from the sidelines? It was safe to say her sport streak lasted about two weeks.

Upon arriving at room 210, Kennedy stopped outside of the door to check how she looked. She looked alright, but her hair wasn't cooperating with her today. She sighed quietly to herself and started working on a braided bun. Her fingers moved rapidly through her hair, having done this process way too many times before. Within a minute her hair was done and the finished project looked just as it should. Kennedy smiled and walked into the room, being taken back somewhat by the amount of balloons in the small room. It all made sense to her as soon as she saw the huge banner draped across the ceiling. Her eyes scanned the room to see Belladonna sitting with Jenny at a table. Kennedy didn't even consider sitting with them, for she knew Arielle was most likely to be joining them shortly. The sophomore made her way to a table behind the two, but not before grabbing the magazine from the table next to them. Her seat was on the left of the room so she was sitting diagonal of the socialites. She didn't bother saying anything to anyone, not even the Dean's wife, who happened to be the teacher. On her walk to the club she figured she wouldn't say anything until she was asked to, like usual. Due to her shy nature, it was rare for Kennedy to speak up without others addressing her first.

When Kennedy was situated, she opened the magazine and began flipping through the pages absentmindedly. While she skimmed pages, Belladonna and Jenny seemed to be talking about Homecoming or something. Kennedy was trying hard not to eavesdrop, as she saw that as being rude. It wasn't her conversation to listen in on. Turning her attention back to the page in front of her, Kennedy began reading an article about the latest fashion trends. The article wasn't interesting at all. Instead of stating what was in, it dragged on and on about what should be in and what had just recently gone out.

As Kennedy says her good-byes, she adds in last minute, "By the way, we have Quiz Bowl together! We'll discuss Homecoming after our clubs?" Before Arabella could reply, Kennedy had just disappeared around the corner already heading over to her club. Oh, Homecoming. My awkward turtle’s nightmare. Arabella isn’t exactly what you describe a social butterfly, in fact, she’s the exact opposite. So, social events such as dances (including Prom) terrify her immensely. Arabella also hates the fact that she would have to dress up in a dress, heels, and have that big pressure to have a date. The social semiformal dance held at the beginning of every year in high school and it would be her first time going (if she does decide to go) since she disappears off to the library during this time the previous two years.

Sighing, Arabella glanced up at the library one last time with a sad expression, then turns around heading over to Room 105 in the English wing. After a couple minutes, Arabella barely glanced down at her watch to make sure she wouldn't be late. But in return, she is greeted by shock after looking at the time and realizes she was going to be late if she kept walking at the same pace. Clutching her book tightly in one hand, and Arabella begins running through the halls stopping every few seconds to catch her breath. A couple minutes later, she slows down to a speed walk when she notices the classroom in eyesight. Arabella pauses in front of the door bracing herself for what comes next. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. It's gonna be alright. Then puts on a smile and walks in greeting Mr. Mathews politely, forgetting about her whole Homecoming situation.

As she surveys around the classroom for a seat she recognizes a familiar face, Louis. Although Arabella is an awkward turtle, she is only like that around unfamiliar people and strangers. If seeing a close friend she is completely willing to go up to that person and start the conversation first; though there are a few exceptions to this. This time isn't one. "Hey Louis. I didn't know you were in the Debate Team!" She smiles playfully before sliding into the seat next to him. Although people have a hard time understanding Louis since his vocabulary is extremely complex, Arabella likes learning new complex words to add into her vocabulary. Arabella gets comfortable in the seat then prepares herself for his lengthy complex response with her ears alert and her eyes on him.

On her way to Art Club Scarlett began tapping on her sketchbook with her pencil with her mind wandering off. Homecoming, it’s almost as bad as Prom. It’s my senior year though, I should be spending/living it to the fullest. Going the extra mile, all that senior junk. But. Schoolwork. Gahh, what am I thinking? College is just around the corner. But. It’s my last year of high school. But. I don’t even have a date. Scarlett’s thoughts went back and forth like this before finally deciding on going only if she had date. Which she highly doubts she would even be able to get one, which shouldn’t be a problem since she’s not completely positive if she wants to go.

By the time Scarlett made up her mind, she was already right in front of room 215. Snapping out of her thoughts before she ran into the door, she took a deep breath. Then clutching her sketchbook tightly against her chest with the cover hidden. Scarlett didn’t want to make it extremely oblivious she had a sketchbook and her passion for drawing. Few people knew about it, so she figured joining the art club wouldn’t hurt. Then slowly walked in the classroom feeling a bit hesitant about if she should had joined Art Club or not.

“Hello Miss Miyuki!” greeting the teacher then looked around for a seat. Art club hadn’t begun yet so there were hushed tones of chitter chatter among the students. Choosing one by the window, she strolled up to her seat slowly. Window seats were the best in her opinion. You’d had something to look at besides the same old boring posters they always had on walls. Placing her sketchbook and pencils neatly on the desk she slid into the chair with ease getting comfortable of where she's sitting. She propped her elbow against the desk and rested her head on her hand. Scarlett glanced around the classroom with a bored expression looking for any friends while tapping on her sketchbook with her other free hand.

Her eyes stopped on the only other familiar face she knew, Cali Hawks. Scarlett had two choices, to be a loner in Art Club or hang out with at least one other person. She chose the later, picking up all her things and slid right into the seat next to Cali. “Hey Cali. So I guess we’re both in the Art Club together.” Scarlett smiled stating the obvious in attempt to start a conversation between the two. “What other clubs did you sign up for?” She asked while neatly arranging her sketchbook and pencils on the corner of her desk.
